The Spa at Hotel Washington: what do users think?
Tara Fries
Tara Fries: This spa experience was unreal, in the best way possible. Arguably the best massage of my life! My husband and I went in for a couples massage for my birthday and it was a lovely experience. The spa itself is really nice but also the people working there and the massage therapists were both professional and nice. The massage therapists gave us a run down of the experience and asked us if we had any specific preferences prior to starting. We also got champagne following our massage experience! highly recommend
Kelsey Sheehy
Kelsey Sheehy: First time visiting The Spa at Hotel Washington. Incredibly friendly and welcoming staff. Small but clean and well-stocked locker room w/ a steam room. The relaxation lounge is tiny, though, and not really set up for lounging or relaxing. My treatment, a 60-minute facial w/ Soraya was wonderful.
Greg Pearson
Greg Pearson: Outstanding Spa Massage and hotel with roof top restaurant and lounge overlooking The White House
Emily A. Smith
Emily A. Smith: I had the best experience here! Noke was amazing and paid special attention to all of the problem areas I noted on my check-in form. She did a great job of explaining my options for add-ons (deep tissue, aromatherapy, etc.) and was so soothing throughout the massage experience. She applied a TON of pressure, which I needed, and I feel so much better now. I will definitely be back.
Morgan Williams
Morgan Williams: The reason I gave this spa a 4 rather than a 5 is for lack of communication. I was a new customer at this spa and signed up for a Fab Facial. I knew that a consultation came with the facial and that they may make some recommendations. The issue that I had was the technician (I think it was Valyntena) did not clarify what portion of the actual treatment was included in the package and what would be extra. I felt misled when I got to the counter and my bill had DOUBLED due to the extra treatments she had done. I didn’t feel like I had the option to choose what I was comfortable paying for versus what I would have left out. The treatment itself was amazing. My face felt and looked great afterward. I just wish my technician had been clearer. My only advice is before they start on the facial would be to clarify what is included in your package and what will cost extra. Not all the technicians will tell you if you do not ask.
Sophie
Sophie: I am very disappointed in my experience. I planned a spa day for my mom as a gift and had pre-selected the services we would receive. When I went to pay, the bill had DOUBLED because the esthetician who did my mom’s facial had changed the facial I had scheduled and added additional enhancements. She did not inform her that the price would be different. What should have been a relaxing day with my mom turned into me feeling taken advantage of.
Erica
Erica: Bliss Spa DC is the BEST!!! I’m always greeted with a smile & pleasantries at the front desk. Christina is AMAZING...extremely professional & very fun. I look forward to seeing her EVERY visit. Went this pass weekend & had a Blissage 75 with Leo...what a great experience. I will definitely be scheduling regular massages in the future. You won’t regret visiting this great spa.
RL Arrendell
RL Arrendell: Truly the best massage I’ve ever had! Thea is amazing! The cucumber eye mask was so refreshing too. I enjoyed every minute.

The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC: what do users think?
Anna L
Anna L: The ambiance of the building and the sauna are so beautiful. I’m a massage therapist so I’ve received a lot of massages in my life, but the LMT Sara was one of the best. She was very professional, she’s made me feel comfortable and relaxed right away, and by the end of the massage, all the tension had left my body entirely! I would definitely recommend her
Allison Larsen
Allison Larsen: Tamba is one of the most amazing massage therapists I have ever encountered. He has pain management experience and it shows. I cannot recommend him highly enough. He should be teaching others ! I will be back!
Yvette Carter
Yvette Carter: massage is amazing, immaculate and excellent customer service. highly recommend Andre for a massage!
J. Madison
J. Madison: Booked an 80-minute massage for the Misses for Valentine’s Day. I did not attend the appointment personally as it was a surprise but the reward I got later that night was 5-star… if you know what I mean 😉 😎
DeNene Colton-Wright
DeNene Colton-Wright: I stopped in to get a consult but was unable to make an appointment. The manager made time to talk with me about and give his opinion on appropriate colors for my hair due to my skin tone. He also explained why my hair fallicals and hair texture was changing due to major medical care I received. It was confirmed that regrowth would take time but assured me that my doctors were correct and that my hair changes were reversible. Very grateful for an impromptu consult on an emotionally challenging subject. I look forward to having a cut, color and style in the near future.
Marilyn Breedlove
Marilyn Breedlove: The sauna, steam room...Miss PattySelection of refreshments. All so wonderful. Well priced, outstanding treatments. Oh yes...the pool ❤️
Erica Pishko Carlsson
Erica Pishko Carlsson: The spa at the Four Seasons Georgetown is lovely. I received a 50 min massage with a professional therapist. The reception area includes tea and snacks as well as a co-ed lounge area. Their relaxation area inside the locker rooms feels like a hallway and isn’t too relaxing. However, there is a co ed lounge area that is a a great place to enjoy a glass of champagne with your opposite gender companion. During your stay, you are welcome to enjoy their sauna and steam room. Note it is a quite small area that does not provide the excellent ammenities like a sonic shower or super dreamy steam room. It is rather basic. However, downstairs (accessed by stairs only) there is a lovely pool and hot tub. This part of the Four Season spa is the most relaxing and is the primary reason to return. My massage was professional and pleasing, yet the massage therapist expressed some not so favorable opinions about people’s gender and clothing choices, which discouraged lesbian culture which concerned me. I would return, but make sure I worked with a more socially conscious therapist next time.
Joe J.
Joe J.: Great spa, relaxing vibes and good service.
Nicole P.
Nicole P.: Great experience with the drinks!! One drink is all you need & and you can shared with another person, just be prepared to have some money to buy your glass if you want to take one home for a souvenir because it’s not free.I didn’t have a buzz at all so again great experience with the fog of smoke

The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Washington D.C.: what do users think?
Rebecca Lombardo
Rebecca Lombardo: My favorite spa for complete relaxation and quality treatments. I almost don’t want anyone else to know how nice this spa is.
Cindy Dorman
Cindy Dorman: A wonderful experience at the spa this afternoon. Everything was exquisite. And, if you are in need of a deep tissue massage, I can’t recommend Jessica enough! She listened to my concerns, and fully adapted the massage to address those concerns.
Miku
Miku: Spa is nice, but not worth the price. In the women’s section there was only a small jet pool, a steam room (with not enough steam), and a shower. A lot smaller and less luxurious than I expected.
Yulia Yash
Yulia Yash: I would give this spa 5-star review if I did not schedule Holistic manicure service. Very poor collection of nail polish colors but most important how it has been done, the tech Tonya lightly touched my cuticles and unfortunately she has no knowledge how to apply gel nail polish, she did not even sealed the ends. So It was chipped right after I went upstairs to my room. I attached the pic of my nails, and how fresh mani should look like!!!!! She fixed it right after I pealed them off myself by just simply polishing them, YET I WAS CHARGED FOR SUCH A POOR SERVICE! $50 for such many is ridiculous! Tonya did a great job with my facial though. My skin looked much cleaner and it was well hydrated. Shakira did my massage and it was beyond my expectations! I highly recommend her!
Jake Hockman
Jake Hockman: I will start by saying I have had a lot of massage / spa experiences over the years. I will also state that I am very hesitant to criticize any establishment unless I am truly displeased with the services. I have never posted a negative review to google or yelp. I purchased the time rituals experience for wife and I as an anniversary gift. We arrived 15 minutes early as requested with all required forms. I must say that the staff was very kind and welcoming. We were given tea and taken to our rooms. I estimate that we were at least 15 minutes into our allotted time before my therapist begin any sort of treatment. I would expect that room and equipment prep would have been taken care of during our early arrival. When my treatment began, we started with massage. During pretreatment I described that my feet and back of scalp were the areas I desired focus on. My therapist spent minimal time on my scalp and almost no time on my feet. She spent excessive amounts of time prepping, or moving the towel, or tinkering with who-knows-what during my massage. She also spent excessive amounts of time simply holding my arms or legs or head and not actually providing massage therapy. Furthermore, she put me into stretching positions, which I am usually fine with, but she was less than gentle and actually left my right shoulder aching and sore still today. To her credit, I am not an extremely flexible person but she seemed to not recognize this and when she put my hips and thighs in pain, I had to inform her that I was not that pliable. When it came time for my facial treatment, there was more excessive preparation and there were periods of 4 or 5 minutes where I was simply lying there. Then while my facial was between steps there was a halfhearted shoulder and neck massage provided. She spent much time simply holding my head and it truly seemed as if she were just stalling until the time was up. She ended our session about 5 minutes before our scheduled time slot expired, which I assume was to allow me time to dress and exit. As none of the amenities (hot tub, sauna, etc) are available this was the end of my treatment, which I understand is not the fault of the spa. I would at least think something additional would be offered as part of an extremely expensive package such as the time rituals. As if to cap off our dismal experience we were served what was possibly the cheapest glass of champagne I have ever had. I am not a champagne connoisseur by any means but neither I nor my wife could take more than 1 or 2 sips before leaving the drink behind. Then upon leaving, the valet took our card and was gone for several minutes only to return not knowing which car ours was and had left our windows down with our belongings in plain view. I will say my wife was somewhat please with her session. She requested only massage and declined the facial. Although, she had to request lighter pressure a few times and, similar to me, did not receive attention to her requested focus areas; she was overall pleased with her therapist. At a price tag of $1,200 for less than (3) hours of treatment per person, I would expect the service and experience to be better. I was thoroughly disappointed and I think that other patrons who chose the Mandarin for a special occasion should think twice before spending such amounts of money on a subpar service.
Reema Malek
Reema Malek: The Spa is nothing short of perfection. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. I love the vitality pool and experience shower, and my favorite thing is the amethyst steam room. Only down side is no couples massage. The rooms in the hotel are also a divine experience
Deanna Gutrick
Deanna Gutrick: This review is long overdue. I’m actually surprised to see how many low star reviews this place received but my visit was fabulous! My boyfriend booked a reservation for a mani pedi, massage and customized facial for my birthday this past year in July. Upon arriving, they already knew my name and address me as upon arrival. I was taken to a small room to prepare. There filled out a form, had a small glass of water and was given shoes and a robe then directed to a locker area to store my things. The massage was everything! She massuse took her time. I even feel asleep! This was my first spa experience and my only regret, is that I didn’t arrive earlier to utilize the other amenities of the spa. I plan to return pretty soon and take my mom.

Waldorf Astoria Spa Washington DC: what do users think?
Joy G
Joy G: This spa is so cute! They have the best selection of snacks and drinks. My husband and I had the 90 minutes couples massage and we both loved it. Then we had facials and I had a pedicure. All the ladies were so good at their jobs and super attentive to your needs. I purchased some products from the line Ivanka uses. Will be back.
Response: We are delighted to read about your experience, X Gjelaj. We look forward to welcoming you again soon.
Lynn Bena
Lynn Bena: A very relaxing spa and enjoyable treat for myself. I had the O2 body treatment and loved it. Highly recommend this.
Sarah Farley
Sarah Farley: I actually had 2 gift certificates brought by my husband for my birthday. He said I could use both on same day or over two days. Being a mother of two year old twins I decided over two days as not had a spa in over 3 years and this certainly was a treat and much needed . I had a choice of a massage or facial. I had my first massage and voucher included a welcome drink of champagne I was never offered this. Anyway day two I again booked the massage. I arrived 2 and. quarter hours early I handed my voucher over. This time again no drink was offered so I asked for it. When I went to check out they advised me my voucher was not for a massage but was for pedicure and manicure. Confusing but partly my fault cause my husband told me they were the same. I was told to either pay full cost of massage or 165 dollars or the difference. Well being now a stay at home mum I could not eat afford it so had to pay the difference which was $ 50 plus the tip. Yes was partly my fault but I had handed the voucher in 2 and a quarter hours before I even entered the room and no one told me if they did I would not if had thecmassage . I feel like they should of checked this properly at check in and is also partly their fault which they took no blame for. I love Ivanka Trump which is why my husband brought this for me. I felt so relaxed at the spa but when this happened and all the way home I felt so let down and sad and stressed $80 dollars that now I have to explain to my husband . 😕 I

Argentta Spa: what do users think?
Cassie miliner
Cassie miliner: My boyfriend and I recently visited Argentta Spa for a massage to celebrate his birthday. His massage therapist was Lisa and mine was Edward. They were both very attentive and provided a wonderful relaxing experience. My boyfriend said Lisa was great at delivering the type of service he requested. I requested a deep tissue massage from Edward and the firmness he provided when working out the knots on my back was great. He was good at not spending too much time in one area. We had a fantastic experience and being able to swim in the salt water pool before and after the visit made it that much better. We give it a 10/10!
Christina Miller
Christina Miller: Massage was amazing and the therapist was fantastic, but called before to make sure the pool was open and showed up to it being closed for maintenance.
laura randolph
laura randolph: Had a wonderful experience. From the moment we walked in we were treated so well. The reception we received was extremely welcoming. I wont say exactly what transpired but I will say that they definitely went above and beyond and met expectations that I never even expected. The massage therapist was very professional and courteous. I was very relaxed when I left. We enjoyed the hot tub and that was very nice. We never felt rushed to leave and we enjoyed our time there. I would definitely recommend visiting this spa for a very relaxing experience.
Peggy Graham
Peggy Graham: A great experience! I adore the aromatherapy of their signature shampoo and conditioner. Love Tosin!! He is an excellent masseuse! Staff is professional and thoughtful. The salt water pool is healing and refreshing. I have made this a regular treat every couple of months to spend a day here to refresh from life.
Abby Kreuzer
Abby Kreuzer: There is a lot to love about this spa - the facility is beautiful, the amenities are enjoyable, and the massage was very relaxing and healing. However, a couple of details kept this from being a 5-star experience for me. They both involved the relaxation lounge. As soon as I stepped in, there was a really unpleasant odor in the room, which smelled like cigar smoke. It was surprising and off-putting, and ended up leaving me with a headache at the end of my visit. The other issue, which admittedly is not the fault of the management, was the amount of loud chit-chat by the other spa patrons. This, coupled with the odor, made for a less-than-tranquil experience.

InterContinental Washington D.C. - The Wharf, an IHG Hotel: what do users think?
Kyle Lennon
Kyle Lennon: Shout Out to Meredith, she is a gem and a half at this hotel! This property is very new and certainly a show stopper, I love the ultramodern design and the bathrooms were stunning. I also loved the balcony overlooking the river and walkways. The bar had great service and great personalities to accompany your cocktails while they served you. Top notch hotel and will certainly make this my preferred DC hotel!
Adrienne Messe
Adrienne Messe: The staff at the InterContinental on the Wharf D.C. is all-round amazing. I am so happy we chose this venue for our recent event. Every member of their team is truly hospitable, and they are dedicated to every client’s success and every guest’s experience. The Sales and Event Managers were helpful/agile partners to us through multiple event date and contract changes, thanks Mayte & Alicia! The Banquet Director was dependable at every moment for our 3 day-event and made sure everything was executed to perfection, thanks George! The hosts at the front door/front desk helped all the guests in our room block have an easy and enjoyable stay for the duration of our event. Thanks to all for helping make our event a success!
Hope Poulsen
Hope Poulsen: Pool is WAY smaller than pictures, we were all shocked at how small. The pool deck gave me and every single one of my friends splinters. And, there are only 5 lounge chairs for the entire pool. Staff is very friendly, but we had to ask for the same requests multiple times. So they seem a little disorganized. Room was very nice & clean and the location is perfect! I chose this rating because of the value - it’s not a terrible place to stay by any means, but you don’t get what you pay for. Not unreasonable to have high expectations when paying almost $500 a night, and this place did not meet those expectations.

She gave/made me a variety of potions to take home. She even went on her break to purchase organic clay for me and wouldn’t accept any additional tip. Donna is the best!!

The Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C.: what do users think?
Mother Tucker
Mother Tucker: Location is good. Easy to locate. Front desk staff was rude and condescending during every interaction. Room was nice but nothing exciting. The doormen and the staff on our floor cleaning were all exceptionally pleasant. They are what earned the three stars. Also, if you want eye candy, stay at the same time as dignitaries so the place will be full of secret service. I felt very safe.
Logan Deyo
Logan Deyo: Fantastic staff. Everything was top-notch, clean, and met our expectations. Our supposed room “upgrade” wasn’t really any upgrade, but nonetheless it was a good room. Breakfast was also great. About a five minute walk from the nearest Metro station which made it nice to get around. A longer walk, but we walked all the way down to the National Mall in about 40 minutes.
David Berman
David Berman: The Ritz Carlton in Washington DC is one of the best hotels I have ever been to! The people who work there are so nice and welcoming. It is a hard place to not love. I personally loved my room. My room came with 2 bathrooms, A enclosed bedroom, and a bar area along with a dinner area. It was the height of luxury. The restaurant there was called the Quadrant. They had some of the best service I have ever had at a hotel restaurant. The food came in huge portions and looked spectacular. Overall, I truly enjoyed my experience there and I know that if any of you guys go there you will too! David Berman Public Space Rating Co. 2021-2022 Chief Rating Officer
Tammy Trungadi
Tammy Trungadi: My first time at the Ritz Carlton! It was so beautiful and my stay was fabulous! Maggie, a member from the staff, was so kind to me. She personally brought me carafe of coffee to my room! I felt like a princess! Room was spacious, beautiful and everything you possibly could need for a restful and relaxing stay!
Candy Be
Candy Be: Stayed for 4 nights. Mo at the Concierge desk and John at the restaurant coordinated cocktails one night and dinner another night for our large group. Mirna with room service was so friendly. Overall a pleasant stay.

Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC: what do users think?
julie c
julie c: We just spent the weekend here and loved the entire experience. The room was nice, clean and stylish but the people are the ones who made it a great visit. We were greeted by any employee we came in contact with, by name when they knew it. The bartenders were great, remembered our drinks from the first night, took time to converse with us despite how busy they were. We will gladly return on our next trip to DC.
Kimberly W.
Kimberly W.: Our family has celebrated many special occasions at this property. The entire staff, especially Nicole, are the absolute best! They always remember us and provide the most impeccable care during our visits! I highly recommend this property, the ambiance and amazing staff ensure we always return!
Joe J.
Joe J.: Most likely the best hotel in Washington DC. The experiences are top notch, from the brunches on Sundays to the ambient spa treatments, this hotel is the epitome of a 5 star hotel. Definitely check it out!
Response: Yusuf, thank you for taking the time to share your rating!
Aisha Lynette
Aisha Lynette: After the sudden illness and transition of my father I needed a staycation. The staff at the Four Seasons was absolutely incredible. My every need was met. Kudos to the team.
Sharon Walker
Sharon Walker: Learned they offer spa services.and that the all you can eat buffet is on Sundays only between 11am and 2pm.
Dasha Zhukova
Dasha Zhukova: Full disclosure: I have worked with Four Seasons for some time but this was a personal visit for my family and I. I had high standards and Marc and his phenomenal team did not disappoint. Housekeeping, concierge, reception, and dining were all top notch. Their team had done their research on me and my family from my many other stays with their properties and applied their knowledge subtly to my stay. They are magicians of the hospitality industry and set a standard for others to aspire to.
Brian Peddie
Brian Peddie: Great drinks and service. Iconic bar with a lively but professional setting.
