Physicality DC: what do users think?

Keva P: This is an awesome place for strength training. As a physical therapist I loved that their class syllabus was structured to target strengthening of muscles which help to stabilize our joints. They don't have us just do a bunch of random exercises. They have a plethora of gymnastic specific equipment that non gymnasts can use.

Meghna Balakumar: I’m way overdue in writing this review. Chris Garay is extremely knowledgeable, professional, kind and highly skilled. He has such a profound understanding of anatomy and is able to scale exercises for anyone. As someone who was told I should never workout by all of my doctors, my joints have never felt better and I owe it all to Physicality. After 7 years of constant back and knee pain, I’m virtually pain free and am so much stronger. Highly recommend coming here if you want to focus on strength, stability and mobility.
Response: Thank you for such a kind review Meghna, and it has been amazing to see your progress while training with us!

Ana Kiklevich: I was looking online for a trainer in DC to improve my strength in gymnastics and aerial acrobatics and found Physicality GST. Excited, I rushed the next day to check out the gym facility and meet the coaching team. My expectations were totally exceeded. Facility-wise - very well equipped with pretty much all you need for hard core gymnastics and strength training. But what is a facility without a coach? Chris is extremely knowledgeable, methodical, confident, versatile, and on top of that, a great cheerleader. Trust me, you will need it in strength training! As our sessions progress, I am impressed with the exercises he chooses for each pt session. They are challenging, non-standard, and simply working. I am on my way to great things with this coach!

Francis Jung: I, a physical therapist, have been collaborating with coach Cory Hill to serve mutual clients for several years. Coach Hill with a record of World Champion in Taekwondo has very unique holistic approaches and is one of the best movement/exercise experts in DC area. He promotes and enhances best optimal outcomes safely for his clients. I highly recommend him and his facility.

Christopher Anderson: I'm a yoga teacher and I do 90 minutes of yoga six days a week. I go to class here a couple times a month to work on strength training and develop movement patterns that are missing from my daily yoga routine. These instructors are very knowledgeable and helpful and I trust them guide me without letting me hurt myself. It's also an intense and fun workout in a small group setting.

D. Turner Hoff, Jr.: Let me start this review by saying that I’m not generally one to write reviews. In fact, this may be the first review I’ve ever written. Also, because I’m about to go all-out fanboy on Physicality, I should probably mention that I was not prompted nor asked to write this review. Lastly, I was a personal trainer in a past life, which I mention just in case you think the additional context valuable. So, now that that’s out of the way… Physicality is objectively one of the best gyms in the DMV, and probably the country (I know, big talk). The coaches, Chris and Cory, have such a deep knowledge and understanding for how the body works/moves. The weekly programming is thoughtful and focuses on strength AND mobility, something I’ve found most gyms advertise but few practice. There is also an emphasis on quality over quantity, improving strength through the full range of motion and progressive overload. All the exercises can be (and are) scaled so that members of all skill levels feel comfortable and can continue to improve. The class environment couldn’t be friendlier and is competitive in all the good ways, meaning that folks are pushing each other to train harder, while also ensuring that there isn’t a sacrifice in quality (the coaches, of course, are also actively monitoring). As I’ve gotten older and my interests and reasons for why I train have evolved, it’s been such a pleasure to have found a gym that is focused on more than just near-term results. While there is certainly an emphasis on consistent improvement via progressive overload, the programming is also designed for health and longevity, which has become increasingly important for me in recent years. I can’t say enough good things about Physicality. I regularly (3-4 times/week) attend the group classes but feel as though I get many, though certainly not all, of the benefits of one-on-one training sessions since the coaches are so actively involved in providing guidance for each member during the group class sessions. Please, PLEASE do yourself a favor and sign up for the 5 classes for $50. It's an absolute steal. If you don’t see the value after five classes, I will personally refund your $50 (joke, of course, but that’s how much value I see in what these folks are doing)

Elias Riskin: Can’t recommend this place enough. It’s addicting. Chris, Cory, and Shawn do an incredible job scaling each class and exercise so that it’s always challenging but attainable. I’ve had a long history of back, hip, knee, and shoulder injuries and their program has helped correct my structural and muscular imbalances and move me to a place where I’m virtually pain free.

Aaron Trent: Truly excellent, thoughtful and effective gymnastics-based strength and mobility training. I’ve been training with Physicality for a little over a year, and my shoulder strength and stability has increased dramatically.

Emmi Marie: Great gym, great owner, very well organized, great instruction!

Greg Wells: I'm impressed with the new space! Nice work Chris and Cory.

Metropolitan Elite Gymnastics & Athletics-DC: what do users think?

Neil Vora: It would be nice if parents could watch their children. I have to sit in my car or in the waiting room where it’s hard to see. Other than that it’s a great facility and my daughter really enjoys the classes.

Caroline Maunakea-Hammonds: Signed my daughter up here for her first experience with gymnastics and we are quite pleased so far. The prices are fantastic, and my daughter is improving consistently. The staff is friendly, and are responsive to emails. We are so happy we chose this location for our child.

Kana Ng: Since leaving MEGA, we have met many other MEGA refugees. This was an expensive and disappointing experience. You pay everything up front (JO/Excel) and they will not refund your money when they fail to provide coaches and cancel weeks of classes in the middle of meet season. I have little tolerance for organizations this disorganized that feel entitled to payment after failing to deliver the service. I highly recommend exploring other options.

Lee Dunn: Terrific gym with well trained instructors, organized classes and strong covid protocols. Great place for those looking for beginners gymnastics all the way to competitive teams.

Meagan Riggs: My daughter loves going here! The staff is excellent. I bought her a leotard from the line they carry and it is so nice - my daughter is comfortable and it washes easy and still looks new after lots of wear!

Melissa Dotimas: Great gym! Had classes for all ages including team. The team coaches are wonderful and they care about the gymnasts health.

Ryan O: They collected the money up front and did not provide the promised classes; they then refused a refund telling us there were other options. The other options didn’t work us but they still refused refund.

Elle Ross: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, QualityUnder New Management as of 2020. Complete reformation of the program! Clean facility and amazing staff doing their best to communicate clearly and tend to the entire community's needs!

Tabbetha Carlson: My kids had a blast!

jodi S: Great staff the girls love it

Dynamite Gymnastics Center: what do users think?

Vakhtang Koroghlishvili: - My kids are happy during the class- They have a really good COVID-19 safety policy- Great teachers and really good management!

imran javaid: Loved this place when it was in person. The virtual classes have been a constant struggle since they started. They work one week and not the next. The folks at the front desk have been great but the situation never gets resolved. When we ask the administrators we get sent the same link over and over again but no apologies for missed classes or refunds. My suggestion is if you feel comfortable sending your kids in person you are fine. If you want to do a virtual class find another group that might be more interested in doing a virtual program. These guys are clearly not interested.

Deborah Berger: I have been impressed with the coaches at Dynamite. My daughter "S" has been there for years and she's so happy. She enjoys the team building that they do without the pressure. Although she's on USAG team, she cares just as much about her team mate's success as her own. The gym is always clean and it's great they need to remove their shoes and wipe down before going into the gym.

Elucw25ca Assefa: I came this location referred by my sister assuming it will be a good fit for my daughter with special needs. Our first day, My wife and myself made appointment and visited this location. The instructor took my daughter to the open gym and tested her motor skill. We as a parent were excited to see our daughter running around all over the gym and looking her excitement on her face. In the end, the instructor told us she will inform us the next step. We waited couple days and called back and she was off. Left a call back message.....No response. We made several attempts to reach her....... no response. We had unpleasant experience which lacks professionalism and poor customer service. Hope someone look in to it.

Heli Paun: My daughter Elizabeth has been with this gym for years. We have never had a negative experience. She is part of TNT team and absolutely loves her coaches, they are her extended family. Front desk is very helpful, especially Eric.

Klaire Marino: My daughter has been a part of the dynamite family for over 5 years. She is now on USGA team level 4. What i love about the attitude at dynamite is tha that it is about the whole child and strengthening them both mentally and physically to be thier best. It is not about winning and pushing kids to do more than is physically safe... as i have seen other gyms. I highly recommend the gym for competitive gymnastics but also classes and fun! thier staff is so centered on caring about kids.

Luv Au: The coach Lilly skipped my son on an activity for three out of four weeks on Saturday morning. Got to keep an eye on the coach to make sure your kid gets what’s planned. Front desk service was excellent though. Joe was an awesome coach when filling in. He made sure my son got a chance to do everything.

Kristen Wilson: We love Ms. Candace ! We have been going to dynamite for years- the space is consistently clean and welcoming. My kids always love their time at Dynamite and as they grow it has helped with their confidence , balance, and is just a great time ! I highly recommended dynamite !

Claudia Sanchez: I love Dynamite! I have brought my 3 kids to class with Ms. Candace and they always have a blast. Ms. Candace is the best coach, she really cares about her students. We have been coming to Dynamite for 5yrs now and still counting!

Jonathan Karpa: We were waiting after my daughter’s class because they wanted her to do a few more exercises to see if she should be in a different class. Our son was also in a class so the three of us hadn’t left the gym yet. One of the instructors (Jackie) came up to me and said, “Class is over. You need to leave now!” I was so appalled at how rude she was that I was left speechless. I can’t recall the last time someone was so rude to me. All I can say is that I hope she is nicer to the kids than she is to the adults. The whole experience left a horrible taste in my mouth and I have no desire to go back there.

Silver Stars Gymnastics: what do users think?

Jasmine Guardado: This gym was the start of my daughter’s love for gymnastics. Within one week they got her doing a chin up pull over at the age of 5. They then got her doing cartwheels and handstands after four week. Followed by back handspring, front handspring, back walkovers. This gym helps to build stills that set the foundation for endless possibilities. The staff and owner are amazing. This is a gym to consider.
Response: Thank you for taking the time to talk about your experience with Silver Stars. Our goal for our classes is to help your gymnast to develop essential skills while also focusing on their personal development with a focus on building self-confidence.

Erika Avalos: The trainers are very kind and patient with the kids. The kids have so much fun here. Very good option to start into gymnastics. A little bit crowded but clean.
Response: Thanks, Erika, for giving other parents an idea of what they can expect on a typical day at Silver Stars.

Rob Keller: Both my girls have been coming here for years for classes and summer camp. It is a well-run studio. The only complaint I ever had was how crowded the parent area was on Saturdays. I was so happy to see that they re-organized the parent area to make more room. The new lobby area layout is a huge improvement!
Response: Thanks for the feedback, Rob. We did a survey and found that most parents would greatly appreciate a larger lobby area away from the toy store, so we made the change. We are thrilled to hear that it has been such a big hit!

Alina Tourkova: We love Silver Stars gymnastics! they have classes for all ages, both my kids have been enjoying their classes since preK age. Recently tried their party, and everything was great! We didn't feel rushed, there was a variety pf activities for ages from 4-8, and everything was awesome in terms of organizational stuff! Strongly recommend!
Response: Thanks for taking the time to leave a review, Alina. You should check out our summer camp and Kids’ Night Out!

Stacy Shore: Positive: Communication, QualityMy daughter looks forward to attending biweekly tnt sessions at the silver spring location. Silver Stars is great at communicating information, especially during the pandemic. They really care about the kids and their growth as gymnasts.
Response: Thank you for letting other parents know about your experience with us. We have been working so hard during the pandemic to be transparent and supportive to our families, so it is nice to hear you noticed that from us.

Michelle Lemon: Highly recommend! Great facility and the teachers are absolutely wonderful!
Response: Thank you for recognizing the hard work we put into caring for our facility and leading our team to be the best they can. We are very proud of both!

crc964: The owner and staff here are the best! They truly care about children at all levels and want everyone to have fun while learning, growing and improving - physically and mentally!
Response: The team at Silver Stars is one of a kind and we are constantly working at it! We absolutely care for the students we teach and promote not only training the gymnast, but growing the child. It is not just a job for us, it is a passion we take very seriously. While we have staff trainings on coaching gymnastics skill progressions, we also have trainings focused on the fundamentals of child development, instilling self confidence, and being a team member to others. We love what we do and we are thrilled that it shows!

Katie McDonald: My three year old started taking classes here and it isn't as much as I expected for the price I paid. $30 per class for a three year old to bounce around is a little much. And the session we signed up for was only 6 classes... $180. Probably wont be going back. Maybe when she's older and decides if she wants to be there or not

Rahel “Queens of the Nile”: The owner and the manager’s response to my concerns amazed me; it showed how much they care for the kids. They addressed the issue and fixed it immediately. It seems that kids love Coach Paul, who is a good guy, and he knows exactly what the kids want and need to be successful in gymnastics.
Response: Rahel, thank you for addressing your concern with management and giving us the opportunity to refocus on where we can improve. As a business we are always looking for ways to become better for our customers, so we appreciate the feedback.

EmilyLOVEPandas XD: I love this gym :) it is so fun to learn gymnastics. The teachers are cool and nice. They can help you do gymnastics in a really fun way :) To me the gym is big. I think you will love this gym :) I only went to that gym two times and I'm loving it :) If you are looking for a gym to go to you should go to this one go silver stars gymnastics! :D
Response: We're a couple months late here, Emily, but we wanted to thank you for taking the time to write such a kind review! It's an absolute joy to have you in the gym, and we're happy to hear that you've loved your time here so far. We're looking forward to seeing you again soon. -Silver Stars Gymnastics

Capital Gymnastics National Training Center: what do users think?

Brooke Shaw: I am typically not the type to share bad reviews online because every business has a right to thrive - especially after a pandemic year however, any parent that wishes to send their child here should be aware of our experience when choosing which gym is a good fit. My daughter started gymnastics here 5 years ago and has been taking consistent classes during that time moving from level 1 - 7. Over the course of that time her passion grew and she wanted to try to compete. She mastered all the skills needed (which we were assured before we encouraged her to try out). Before I go on - I want to emphasize that I believe in the character building experience of failure and know the value of hard work to reach your goals. She tried out for the team and did not make it. This is not the true problem. The true problem is that she was encouraged by her coach to try out only for us to be told the reason for her not making it was because she is “too tall.” I get it. Gymnastics has an “ideal body type” (which at this point in our growth of body acceptance can we please throw out?) however, if this was the case why were we as her parents not given a warning prior to her try out to level her expectations? She didn’t grow overnight. Second, the trial coach did not take the care to speak with my daughter herself - sharing only with me and having me as her mom knowing not much about the technicalities of gymnastics have to break the bad news to her. The lack of care for her was clear. The theme here is that this gym cares about their output and money more than the individual fostering of each child. If you are okay with that then it’s generally an okay place to send your kid. However, after five years of working hard and pummeling money into this place - I believe my kid deserved more - a chance to try again, for the hours in classes to improve her technical skills and for the care of the staff to help her reach her goal without turning a cold shoulder like all of her hard work was meaningless to them. We will promptly be switching gyms (also so we can avoid the horrid woman in the office who you’ve seen mentioned here many times).

Lauren Gibbs: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, Quality, ValueWe love Capital Gymnastics. Our daughter looks forward to class and has really loved each of her coaches. Excellent program!

Sadie Belle Finn: Both my children attended this Gym last year and I'm trying to decide if we should return. I agree, coaches are wonderful. The woman in the front office is less than helpful and definitely not friendly. I've tried to "win" her over, kill her with kindness to no avail. Again, my kids love this place b/c of the coaches however, since this is a paid service I feel like we should be getting great lessons as well as good service. If the front office was more helpful I'd give this place 4.5 stars! I'd never recommend it to a friend b/c of the lack of help on the front end.

Heidy Palencia: Very expensive for no reason. They are also disorganized and rude. My little sister attended classes weekly for 2 years and they never leveled her up, I wondered why and she told me they never gave her at home workouts and they also did the same thing every single class. When I asked her how she felt about her class she told me she was "bored". I started looking into other gyms so I didn't sign her up for the next session. I got a phone call from the gyms reception asking for payment even though I had not signed her up. The last class she attended she was only evaluated for Beam and Bars, she had not yet been evaluated for floor or vault. When I asked for her review they said that she was not able to be evaluated because she technically was no longer in the class because a new session had started. They were very rude about the whole thing, while I was trying to get an explanation from one receptionist another would shout from across the office to basically tell me I was wrong. All they want is money and they don't really care about their students progress.

Simon Gurin: One of the premiere "core" gymnastics places in the area. Many of the coaches are great, some are not. Choose carefully. My daughter was excelling until a bad experience with one of the coaches (she was 6).

Rhonda Medina: The attitude of the parents in the drop off & pickup line matches that of the gym overall: rude, unhelpful and impolite. The parking lot is full of ditches, pot holes and spots are not clearly marked. The gym is nice and clean but the overall experience isn't great.

Stef Haigh: Great coaching staff and nice facility. My kids love the rec classes and absolutely loved the summer camp. What could make the experience better? No one ever...EVER answers the phone. When you leave a message, no one ever calls back. Twice I've had to stop in just to ask questions because i can't get anyone on the phone. If you're in a rec class, you can do "make up" classes (which I appreciate), but they are only offered late in the evenings (7 & 8 PM - tricky for young kids) or middle of the afternoon on Saturday. They fill up fast and in my experiences, we've had to wait 3-4 weeks to get a spot that worked. Lastly, technology - holy cow, the paper forms and an hour in line to register is a bit much. Still giving a 4 because it's a great gym - but the back end of the house could use a bit of modernization.

Katrina Alexander: Capital Gymnastics is a great training facility and the coaches are great!. The office staff is horrible and the most rudest people ever. I had a horrible experience with one of the receptionist who insisted on being right.....I guess that's what happens when a business doesn't "need" one customer's money. Thank goodness for my daughter's love for the coaches and gymnastics. Otherwise, I would take my business elsewhere. If you're considering signing up or signing your child up, don't go there expecting the best and the brightest business people in the office.

Gymnast Awesome: This Gym is great. I spend a lot of time searching for the right gym and this is it. The teachers are great, but not the office staff. The are rude to everyone, even the gymnast. But overall, you will love the coaches. They make it a safe environment for all Kids!

Liz: Great gym for all ages including professional gymnasts or brand new amateurs. It is expansive and has a great gymnastics and cheer team programs. The front office is very nice especially when I have seen many parents be over demanding, yet the front office staff remain professional and keep their cool. Great atmosphere!

Fairfax Gymnastics Academy: what do users think?

John McVey: Communication has been terrible....nothing for two years straight - not even a call back. Horrible customer experience. We were never able to see a single class and no one has ever given us any indication of what her path would be. Everyone is still required to wear masks...joke. There's no parking...the building seems likes it's surrounded by a junkyard. The place is a dump and smells like a silverback gorilla's armpit.

Elise Schumann: I nanny & the girl I take there has made much improvement. It is though the patience of of her coach. So glad she will finish out the class till June. Thanks for all you do. Can't wait to see the program.

Carrie Schymanski: Our kids have enjoyed classes, camps, and open gym! We're thankful for the whole team there for keeping everything organized and fun!

Alaney Girlz: Wonderful summer camp at reasonable prices. Stringent COVID precautions to keep everybody safe. Small business owner obviously loves the sport and ensures parents have realistic expectations when scheduling classes.

Kelly Brickley: For serious gymnasts only! They take training here very seriously, and the strictly utilitarian nature of the gym is a testament to their work ethic. All of the coaches are nice, very professional, and very well trained. We hosted a birthday party here one year and I wouldn't recommend it. While it was perfectly fine, you can get more bells and whistles for the same amount of money at other locations. You go here to train to be a gymnast, and not for much else.

Wendy Golden: They are the only gymnastics place in town where your kids will beg to spend every day there! Roger runs a tight ship and makes sure your kids are safe too!! What a great place for boys too.

Kit Xay: Had a horrible experience with the boys gymnastic coach. My son used to love gymnastics and about a month before we quit he started not wanting to go. I thought it was a phase until the coach pulled me aside after class told me he had held my son's hands on the equipment, and then yelled at my son for complaining that he was hurting him. If the conversation had been one of concern and trying to figure out what the problem was I would have thought it was an accident, but it was basically this coach just yelling at me at how frustrating my 7 year old was to him. I'm not even mad at the coach or the gym anymore, I'm more mad at myself for subjecting my kid to that coach.

Vanessa H: We love Fairfax Gymnastics! Both my 6 y.o. and 4 y.o. go here, and they love their classes and teachers. The owners are delightful to deal with and they truly care how the kids are doing and whether they are in the correct gymnastics level for the child's skill, ability, and age. We've been going here for over a year, and oddly enough my mother took my sister here about 12 years ago. Then, it was the same wonderful owners; same wonderful experience. (ps. whoever wrote that truly terrible review had an axe to grind that had nothing to do with the gym, but sounds like a personal issue)

Laura Cirksena: My 7yo son just started a class at this gym last week. So far the staff has been great and he has really enjoyed it. We did a walk in and he was able to join a class for a trail that same day and then we signed right up for the weekly class. He loves it and can’t wait to go back.

SAVEGeorgia SAVEGeorgia: If your child is serious about gymnastics I do not recommend! Classes are too large with little instructions or corrections during the class. Otherwise they have great equipment and set up...

Dynamic Gymnastics: what do users think?

Marsha Kaye: My granddaughter went to dynamic gymnastics in Baileys crossroads. Her first day she was so excited and loved it. However, I noticed the instructors only helped a few of the girls and ignored most of the class not once but every Saturday. My granddaughter hurt her arm really bad trying to do a back flip on her own. No one noticed and no one cared when told to an instructor. No supervision 90 percent of the time!

Aaron Oliver: My five year old son comes here for gymnastics lessons on Friday evenings. It's quite popular, with many kids leaving from the 5pm class. They have good equipment and plenty of instructors to guide the kids along. My only suggestion is for a little more discipline for the kids during instruction, but that's more of a personal preference.

Ashlie Rasmussen: Really happy with this gym. My daughter enjoys the classes and is learning great skills here. This is the 4th gymnastics place we've tried in the area and she's been the happiest here.

NayNayBae: There are Better Facilities and Coaches. This place is Just a notch above a tumbling class. This is a place for your child to burn off energy rather than build and enhance skills for competition. We were there for over 3 months and her first class mirrored her last. We have already found a new Facility and she has learned more in just 2 classes. She also gets way more one on one time and their gym is 50 times larger. Keep looking; trust me you can find better. Just being honest. They are just average.

Lee Dunn: Outstanding facility and instructors. My girls have taken lessons there on and off for over five years and consistently impressed and pleased.

Dmitriy Mykalo (Dillon): The best place in Washington DC area for sure! We tried all the gymnastic clubs for kids, but only here the coaches works for result, not just for fun

Silvia Riechel: Most of the classes my daughter was really pleased with, but when it was time to move up she was only in the novice class twice, and then the coaches moved her back down. When we asked why, they said it was an office mistake. My daughter was frustrated because the messages the coaches gave her were inconsistent. Also, each class starts with all levels warming up together and a game. At age 11, my daughter did not enjoy the game with the little kids and wished they could just get started on the equipment. Overall, though, I came away with a generally favorable impression. I appreciated the month-to-month admission.

Stephen Dunkel: My daughter loves classes here. She has progressed through fundamentals, enjoying every step, with no intention of being competitive.

Rhonda Medina: The only public gymnastics gym with teams inside the beltway. Friendly and fun coaches.

the life of us: Great place mi 3 girls go there and they love it they learn new tricks everytime

The Little Gym of Alexandria at Huntley Meadows: what do users think?

A Frenchie: This Little Gym is such a GEM!! We have been coming here since our son was 12 months, he is now 3 years old and absolutely loves this place - can’t wait for his baby brother to join the fun too!! Rob the manager is just incredible with kids and he sets up a lot of awesome challenges and age appropriate activities for them. The rest of the crew is also fantastic and truly committed to the well being of the kids and their families - we particularly enjoyed our interactions with Miss Karen and Michael :) If you are looking for a safe, clean and fun place for your kids to play, build confidence and make friends - search no further, this is the place for you!!

Junbin Xian: Thank you so much for having Corinne join the class last night. She had a great time and we are just trying to work out our schedule to see which class time works best. Your staff is amazing and I really appreciated how engaged all of the children were and how caring all of your staff members are. In particular, I wanted to thank you all for your patience and kindness with Corey who is on the spectrum and struggles sometimes with social interaction. I wanted to raise one concern about a parent who had confronted me about Corey and stated that he grabbed her child “by the neck” when she took a lego piece. She had one boy who was taking part in the class and another younger child with her. I immediately apologized to her and went to talk to Corey and even brought Corey out to apologize. I am sure other parents also witnessed this incident. The woman did not even acknowledge this and kept glaring at me and my family (including my disabled mother) throughout the rest of the session. Strangely enough, she only approached me directly about the problem rather than speaking to your staff member who was monitoring the play area. Corey has always been raised under constant supervision and monitoring by myself, my mother, and my husband. The three of us have observed him in social settings numerous times and while he does not usually interact with other children, he has never been rough with others. Still, I gave the parent the benefit of the doubt and even came out to apologize to her and her child after speaking to Corey. She spoke about Corey as if he was a violent animal instead of a child, and she continued to glare at my family even after I had apologized profusely and even disciplined Corey about the supposed incident (which none of my family members or your staff personally witnessed). While I acknowledge that Corey struggles with social interaction, I do not personally believe that he was rough with the other child. I understand that the behavior of one parent is not the fault of your staff, but I would like to avoid choosing the same class time as this person out of fear for Corey’s safety. I am disappointed that some have so little compassion and understanding for children who are different, but this is something we have dealt with before as parents of an autistic child. We all had so much fun at the try out session despite this experience, and this does not in any way effect my opinion of your company. Your staff members were all wonderful and incredibly kind to everyone, and I really appreciated MacKenzie who was trying hard to have Corey participate in the class. We are planning to enroll Corinne in the class and we will have an answer for you by the end of this week when we work out our schedule. Thank you again to you and your wonderful staff, and hope you all have a great weekend! Best.

thomas fife: Our daughter absolutely loves it here. Recommendation from one of her classmates. Staff is awesome, super nice and great way to get your kids energy out.

Natalie C: My daughter has been taking classes at The Little Gym for over a year now, and it's been such a bright spot for our family during these crazy times. The instructors are attentive, kind, and knowledgeable, and make sure the kids have tons of fun. My daughter absolutely LOVES her classes there and all of the instructors!

Angeline Allen: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, Quality, ValueThis has been a great experience for my kids. They have been incredibly patient and encouraging for a timid child learning to branch out. Highly recommend

Wendy Ireland: Love The Little Gym at Huntley Meadows! Mr. Rob is the best. We enjoy the classes. The teachers love the children and are very supportive and interested in helping children. Our child has so much fun there, we love it. We've been going for a year here now and have all positive things to say. It is fun to watch our child learn and grow at The Little Gym.

Jerod Evans: The instructors are awesome here! They make every child feel welcome. Having a toddler I was worried the training would be too disciplined but Mr. Rob always made us and our child feel at home. Classes do not make kids feel pressured at all and our son always had a great time. If you are looking for something fun for the children you can't go wrong with any class here!

Jessica Finnerty: My 14 month old daughter has been taking classes here since she was 5 months old. She has a blast every week and I am so happy to be able to help her learn and grow. The facility is great and the staff is fantastic. And many of the other kids have been going since they were babies as well....it's been so amazing to watch them all grow up! Fun for everyone and highly recommended.

Linda Clover: We've been taking our just-turned-3 year old granddaughter to the Little Gym for the past 4 months and I really believe that this is the best gift we have ever given her. Our granddaughter simply can't get enough when she's there, doesn't want to leave and has the time of her life every week. The program is focused on developing children in many ways, but to them, it's all fun. There are numerous new things to do each week, music, laughter, challenges, learning to share and be part of a group along with is lots of love and sensitivity to the needs of each child and gentle encouragement. Many of the children in these classes have been coming here since they were babies, but she was able to blend right in within a few weeks. At the end of each class, the instructor, for her, mostly Mr. Rob, goes over the various activities the children have completed and makes suggestions for things they can work on during the week.

Stuart Saltzman: The kids have so much fun while also learning! Rob and his entire staff are all amazing! It is evident by how engaged, positive and communicative the coaches are with the kids that they love what they do.

Gymnastics World: what do users think?

Majo Flores: Positive: ProfessionalismWe love gymnastics world. I’ve been taking my daughter for over two months to the toddler class and she really likes it. Coach Renee is the best. She makes sure the kids have fun and discipline at the same time. This place is clean and all the staff is very nice!
Response: We are so glad we can provide a positive experience for you and your child. Thank you for your review.

Evgeniya Igolkina: Positive: Professionalism, Quality, ValueHighly professional and dedicated coaching targeting success. My daughter is enrolled there for 1.5 years. We started at 3 y.o. And she has very good results for her age. Repetition is very important to learn the skills. Program is developing skills to transition into the next level. Programs are very thoughtful
Response: Thanks for sharing your review with us and the community.

Sakeenah Hylton: Critical: ProfessionalismTook my daughter for a trial, at the end of class she was in tears wouldn't tell me why until we got to the car. One of the male teachers was plucking her to get her to do one of the exercises correctly. Was not happy about this at all.
Response: We are sorry to see this post, and we do take this comment very seriously. The class your child was scheduled to participate in was led by a woman coach, and we see no possibility of a male coach helping or being around your child during the class. We are reviewing the videos of the class to see if any of the above-mentioned happened. So far, we have not seen any male coach interacting with your child during the class. Thank you for your message, and we are consistently working to take the appropriate measures to avoid situations like that from ever happening. We are making ourselves available for a one on one conversation regarding this matter.

Paul Bamonte: Positive: Professionalism, QualityThe coaches for the toddler class are pros, encouraging, and good communicators. We have been sending our daughter there for 3 months and she has grown with gymnastics and her character.
Response: Thank you so much for your review.

Gabriella V.: My daughter participated in the Excel Program at GW. The transition to Team has been a smooth one. She loves being challenged daily by her coach. She breathes and sleeps Gymnastics. It's a convenient location, and her coaches have been consistent. Its an expensive sport, you should know that coming in. The fees are the same fees you get at any other gym. Most of the coaches have been Elite Gymnasts themselves which makes this a better experience for my daughter because they know what a gymnast goes through emotionally and physically. My experience so far has been good, not just for me as a parent but most importantly for my child. :)

Frauke Joergens-Mitchell: My daughter enjoys the cheerleading program. We are happy that you are providing a safe environment for sports during the pandemic and that she can stay active.
Response: Thank you for the review. We really appreciate it.

Bo Mezoff: One of the owners of the gym, whose two children appear to be her primary concern along with her few other high level elite gymnasts in some lesser known forms of gymnastics, apparently posts on Facebook about how she doesn't like the work ethic of American children/parents while she threatens to take her children back to her country of origin. I say, with that attitude, good riddance. Don't let the door hit you. This gym doesn't feel like a place for children who are exploring.

Ayesha Nawaz: I have made a big mistake enrolling my 4.5 year old in this centre . It’s really expensive compared to what they are teaching to kids. It may be good for big kids classes but for preschoolers they teach nothing same movements in every class always and always repetition every day no new moves or tricks nothing at all. I’m really disappointed with it and they don’t even give refund if u change your mind and don’t want to continue so if u register u r stuck.
Response: We are sorry to learn you didn’t have a good experience with our programs. We strive to have a safe and organized plan for all of our students. We are working with the top Gymnastics Lesson Plan developers in the country. We follow guidelines stipulated by USA Gymnastics (national federation of gymnastics). This includes implementation of Facility’s rules. The Preschool class is designed to have the children familiar with the group environment settings and the basic rules and movement of gymnastics. By using our lesson plans we are able to identify when the children achieve a certain level of mastery with the movements, memorize terminology and learn the safety rule of each activity and equipment. We are definitely open to switch the children to another class when it doesn’t suit well for the family or the child from any reason. While we can not change our policies, for safety reasons, regarding PreSchool children, we always strive to make every accommodation. However pre-school children may not be left unattended at our gym. Similarly, we have enrollment and billing procedures designed to be clear and easy to understand. We are always willing to make changes as requested to upcoming classes/schedules but we do work within a one month billing period. Changes made after billing date are not effective until following month. This allows us to ensure the correct student/coach ratio at all times. Please come talk to us if you have any further question. Thank you.

Barbara Anne May: If you are looking for the best Child Activity Center in the Woodbridge area, 3rd Level Consulting recommends Gymnastics World. Based on our decades of working with Children’s Education, Entertainment, Arts, and Sports Instruction programs in multiple industries and Countries, we are confident in our recommendation.

Rebecca Genteline: My daughter is in rhythmic and she loves it. The girls spend long hours together and form some strong bonds. The routines are fun and the coaches are great.
Response: Thank you for your feedback.

Docksiders Gymnastics Inc: what do users think?

Melissa Naylor: Where to begin? Signed up 2 of my girls for a week long summer camp. They required a $110 Family Registration fee of on top of the $590 camp fee. One of the instructors TRIED TO PULL OUT MY 7 YEAR OLD'S TOOTH. She apparently cleaned her hands first (eye roll..we are in the midst of COVID) and attempted to pull my kids tooth. WHY??? My good friend took them every day and this same instructor questioned my 7 year old about her family dynamics while she was in the bathroom. Are your parents divorced? How many sisters do you have? **I have to give the owner credit. He was very responsive and handled this matter with professionalism and courtesy. He assured me this wasn’t something they’ve ever had happen before and he met with the entire staff to ensure it never happens again.

Dan and Megan Carpenter: I started bringing my daughter to the Docksiders tadpoles (mommy and me) program in the fall of 2015. We were looking for something that would give her more exposure to kids her age and provide her with some fun physical play time. From the beginning, our expectations have been exceeded. She always looks forward to going to class (she wants her leotard on from the time she wakes up on her gymnastics mornings). Mrs. Lisa is wonderful with all of the kids - encouraging and supportive of their efforts, even on those tough toddler days. My daughter goes crazy when she sees the teachers enter the gym and she knows it's time for "tada"! The class is broken up into multiple different stations which keeps the little ones focused. Stretching, singing, tumbling, climbing...great mix of activities, and there is something new each week. And of course, they all love getting stamps at the end of class! We'll be signing up for the next spring session soon. I'd recommend that anyone looking for a gymnastics program try Docksiders. We've had a great experience thus far, my daughter has enjoyed making new friends and has developed and refined her large motor skills...all while having lots of fun with Mrs. Lisa in a great environment for kids.

Betsy Allison: Docksiders Gymnastics is one of the best gymnastics programs you will find in this area! Not only did I start my gymnastics career there in the Mommy and Me classes with Mrs. Lisa but I was able to compete as a gymnast for 18 years at Docksiders and receive a scholarship to a Division 1 college to compete for my University. I also had the opportunity to go back and work as a coach and pass on my gymnastics knowledge to the children in the class programs. My experience and review for their program deserves nothing short of all 5 stars! Docksiders is a place where parents can take their children and know the care and attention given to each class is directed by wonderful instructors who want to see kids have a good time and learn something new. When I was young my first classes were with Mrs. Lisa, who has been working there for around 30 years. She has directed the class program in a way that is most beneficial to each child and their individual skill set. It is so important for children to have a physical understanding of their body and be able to develop hand-eye coordination at a young age. The exercises, drills, obstacle courses and skills that Docksiders sets up for each class aims to help every child develop that basic understanding and work on any other area the child may be struggling with such as dealing with fears, flexibility, strength, problem solving, and even socializing skills and building confidence! Docksiders is a Gymnastics Gym and therefore has hundreds of girls coming through the doors everyday to work hard, spend time with their friends and have a good time. If you, as a parent, are too concerned about the available space in the gym (which there is an entire section designated to the class program in the gym), cleanliness of the waiting room or the gym (which is vacuumed and cleaned numerous times each week but there is something called Chalk which is essential in the sport of gymnastics), or putting your child in any sort of playful or fun competition where they are able to win prizes, coloring pages, or even leotards and candy because they overcome a fear, stick a skill or perform on the high beams for the first time, you are not seeing the true work and effort that is being put into every class at Docksiders. Docksiders aims to build your child up, help them become a better person, and be able to solve problems on their own. From experience, I can say Docksiders is one of the best programs you can put your child into if they are looking for a fun place to meet new kids, have a good time, be around coaches and instructors who truly care about kids, and of course JUMP IN THE PIT :)

Jane Queen: My daughter has been going to Docksiders for 3 years and we absolutely love it! We started with Mrs. Lisa and she is fantastic! She truly LOVES these kids and it shines through when she teaches them. My son also went for a year, in the beginning he was shy and would get upset being separated from me. Mrs. Lisa helped us and worked through this stage with us and was really caring toward him. My daughter has also had Mrs. Cheree, Mrs. Kayla, and Mrs. Megan. LOVE THEM ALL! Can't go wrong with this gym for your child!

Ashley Hardy: I have been taking my daughter to Docksiders for 4 years. She began in the mommy and me class and we have been hooked ever since! Ms. Lisa was her first teacher, and I truly believe she is the reason Gabi fell in love with gymnastics. When my daughter was three and a half she was given the opportunity to move to an invitation only class taught by Cheree and Lisa. I was astonished at the level of training, discipline, and care that these young girls were given. Gymnastics became something that my daughter wanted to do daily! Four years later, she has been blessed with the opportunity to work with many different faculty members, each helping her blossom into the gymnast she is today. I now have my son enrolled in the mommy and me class and he has a very different personality than his sister. He is more rambunctious and doesn't necessarily want to listen all of the time. Ms. Lisa has been a saint with him and has never stopped encouraging him to keep trying. I have seen a huge improvement in him and I can honestly say it is because of Lisa's direction, patience, and support. I look forward to many more years of training and friendship at Docksiders!

Adrienne Canterna: My daughter has been a student at Docksiders for 4 years. Miss Lisa is her teacher. She has a standard of excellence that is unparalleled and inspires my daughter to work hard and never give up. Docksiders, Miss Lisa & the entire staff continues to give my daughter high quality training and positive encouragement. I recommend Docksiders to anyone looking for a quality gym full of hardworking & dedicated professionals.

Denise Graber: We've been coming to Docksiders since my daughter was one and a half and in the Mommy and Me class and my son was in the Pre-School class. They loved those classes and asked each day if it was "Gymnastics Day." My daughter has progressed on to an invitation-only class for the last two years. She has so much love for the sport and loves coming to class. We've had great experiences with all of the teachers we've had (Ms. Theresa, Ms. Haley, Ms. Chereé, Ms. Kayla, and Ms. Lisa). My daughter is very outgoing and talkative and all of the teachers (past and present) take the time to listen to her in the gym. My daughter has had Ms. Lisa for the last 2.5 years and she just loves her. I know how much Lisa cares for my daughter and all of the kids she works with. I love how much self-discipline my daughter has been taught in her classes. I know that it will take her far in the sport and far in life.

Nicole Bouvier: Instructional lessons are very organized and the kids get a lot of skills training. The instructors are very knowledgeable and hands on. My life have not made teams yet, but I do watch many of the teams practice and I'm very impressed with the level of performance from the students.

Jaclyn Brubaker: We moved here three years ago and my daughter had been doing recreational gymnastics for two years. At Docksiders Ms. Lisa was her first teacher and saw potential in her. She was moved to an invitation only class taught by Ms. Lisa and Ms. Cheree. I was thrilled to see my daughters skills improve, but more importantly her love for the sport and her coaches. This gym does a great job at balancing the important aspects of teaching discipline, dedication and perseverance, (essential to success in this sport) all while laughing and having fun. After 3 years here, my daughter is now a member of girls level 3 team with Ms. Megan and Ms. Kayla. She still talks about and sees Ms. Lisa all the time, and because of her wants to be a gymnastics coach when she grows up. My daughter is proud to wear the Docksiders colors, not because of what she has learned here, but because of her teammates and coaches that have become her second family. Everyone here is loving, and supportive, I could not have asked for a better place for my daughter to learn gymnastics and gain excellent role models!!

Jesitta Pangelinan: My daughters have been going to Docksiders Gymnastics for the past 3 years and have absolutely loved it especially taking class with their favorite teacher Ms. Lisa. :) I love watching my girls grow with the gymnastic skills. I would recommend them to anyone considering placing their child in gymnastics!

Gym America - Gymnastics & Dance Center: what do users think?

Allison Nayer: Both my boys did a summer camp there last week and we registered with a few friends. All the boys were begging not to go back. They said the camp counselors were mean and would yell at them constantly. My son got yelled at for not being able to do a split!? One of the counselors was excited to tell me how awful my kids were only to find out that he got the kids confused and he was telling me about someone else’s kids. The staff is young and needs more training. It’s a lot of money to be around teens that really don’t want to play with kids. There was some military aspect to it as well as the other reviews stated. Making the kids do planks and burpees if they weren’t listening. Disappointed. We won’t be back.

Jin Liu: My daughter loves gymnastic and so we signed her up for a week of summer camp in this place. She got hurt on her foot the first day of the camp. But there is no communication whatsoever: no coach came out during pickup and told us what happened to her and how she got injured and what action staff took to take care of her. There was no accident report of any sort. After we ask for possible refund or switching days. We were told there is no refund and make up days only allowed with Dr’s note stating she is not able to safely walk. But even with Dr’s note, I will not send my daughter back to this place, because I don’t think their gym and staff is offering proper monitoring and protection to kids. I have sent my kid to different gyms many times and she never got any injuries or accidents. On the contrary, she got hurt on the very first day at their gym. We will never set foot in this gym again.

Hannah Mae Edits: The lady with us was very rude and enrolled my daughter into beginners because she was scared of the bars. And she did put her with presumably 5 to 7 years old. Though the equipment was very clean and the space was huge.

Galina Shirshova: My 5 year old daughter has been going to Gym America for 2 years now and she loves it! The trainers are fun and professional at the same time, they have personalized approach to kids and it definitely teaches them discipline and love for gymnastics! I strongly recommend visiting in you are in Reston/Herndon/Sterling/Chantilly area, the gym is conveniently located right off rt. 28 and the tuition fees are very reasonable for the area! Laura, the owner, is doing an amazing job!

Cheri S: My son has been with the gym for several years and absolutely loves it. The new facility has been a big improvement. The boys coach, Mark, is great. He has high expectations but makes it fun. I feel like it's a relatively low pressure fun team experience.

Anne newland: Coach Laura and her staff are great. They really coach kids to do there best. They encourage children to be gymnasts. They focus on form at a young age, but make it fun. I highly recommend Gym America. They are extremely flexible and priced extremely reasonable. My daughters self confidence has grown and she has built strength and learned tons of new skills. Love love love Gym America!

kenny123: Just started the new adult gymnastics classes here and it was supper fun! The coach for the class, Mark is a supper chill guy and has great experience in gymnastics. As someone who had 0 experience in gymnastics before hand, he made it really stress free to get into the sport. My first class was packed with tumbles, flips and bar exercises which made me feel like I was actively learning the sport for the entire class. If you're interested in gymnastics, but you're worried about your age, don't be. This is a great place to start.

Jeremy F: The owner of this place is very rude and unprofessional. I would avoid at all cost. Treating little kids like they are in the military makes no sense. Learn some professional skills.

Mike D: Great gymnastics place. The instructor to student ratio is pretty good, allowing for quality teaching. Kids can progress based on their comfort level and there are a variety of classes from recreational to pre-team/competition. Highly recommended.

Conor Marshall: Positive: QualityI have been at this gym for almost 3 years and and it is amazing. All of the coaches are really nice and are very flexible with your skill level.

Washington Sports Clubs - Columbia Heights: what do users think?

Kuntal Sen, MD, FACMG: My poor review is due to following reasons: My trainer left abruptly without notice. I was charged for cancelling my session with him even though it was their fault. I have disputed the credit card charge. They are infamous for wrongly charging customers and fraudulent activity. They implemented covid vaccine card policy which was nice but didn’t inform customers. I and others was treated very unprofessionally by front desk during this day.
Response: Kuntal, We're sorry to hear of your less than satisfactory experience at our Columbia Heights location. We hope you will accept our sincerest apologies. We are committed to providing a great fitness experience, and we would like to make things right. Please send us an email to Heretohelp@tsiclubs.com so that we can determine how we can provide you with a solution. We value our customers' opinions and thank you for bringing this to our attention. All the best, Here to Help Team

April: Personal Training - Thomas Harrington After being out of the gym for a while, Thomas was much needed. He is kind, engaging, patient and knowledgeable just to name a few. What I really like about him, he takes the time to explain the whats and whys. It doesn't feel like he's just "doing his job". Thomas goes above and beyond to explain the mechanics in layman's terms. After each session I walk away having learned something. He loves what he does, and he's happy to pass it on. Thomas gets 10s from me.
Response: Hi April - thank you for taking the time to submit this positive review of Thomas! We love hearing that our team is making a different in our member's lives. We have shared this feedback with the club team. We hope you continue to love your sessions and we will see you around the club! Thanks again, HereToHelp@tsiclubs.com

Luke Brown: Thomas Harrington was the trainer I needed! Thomas has revolutionized my workout regimen and level of fitness. Not only am I noticeably stronger and more toned, I also have greater self-confidence in the gym, better kinesthetic awareness, and a bevy of workout routines will demonstrated results. Thomas has been a strong balance of expertise and care for me. He frequently spent additional time showing me an alternative exercise, checking-in about my hesitations, or demonstrating an additional stretch for a lingering ache. I actively looked forward to our time together, and I will apply his instruction for years to come. I had been hesitant to pay for a personal trainer, yet investing in my time with Thomas has been a massive personal victory. I would recommend Thomas to anyone hoping to build more effective workout routines, prevent or recuperate from an injury, or develop their confidence in and around the gym. Whether you are looking to fine tune your workouts or turn more heads, I'd invest in time with Thomas.
Response: Wow Luke! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review for our Columbia Heights location including amazing feedback for our trainer, Thomas! We will be sure to pass along the feedback to Thomas and the rest of our team. We hope you continue to enjoy your time with him and we will be seeing you around our club! Thanks again, HereToHelp@tsiclubs.com

Conor O'Reilly: I had a personal training session with Phil and he did a great job! He taught me a lot about free weights and stretching. Now I feel more comfortable to use the more advanced equipment. They also have a pool, sauna, and basketball court. Love this place
Response: Conor, Thank you for taking a moment to leave such a positive review for our Columbia Heights location and sharing your experience with our personal trainer, Phil. We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your personal training session with him and feel more comfortable with using the equipment around the facility. If you ever need anything, please do not hesitate to reach out to HeretoHelp@tsiclubs.com. Thanks again, Here to Help Team

Terry Chasteen: I joined on a special rate, maybe it was 2018. Due to my own fault, I never used the gym ... not once. I cannot blame that on anyone else, however I would have thought with a new client in a business like this, someone would have reached out; invited me in for a tour, found out why I was paying monthly but never using the facility. No one ever contacted me for the full year that I was billed. That is not the worst part, however, Even though it was NOT in the contract, they automatically renewed my membership without my approval and not only at my original rate but almost $30/mo above. This went on for a year since I never used that credit card and it was paid monthly automatically by my bank. Only bc of sething else on the card did I notice the fraudulant charges and they were too old for my bank to recover.
Response: Terry, Thank you for reaching out regarding your experience at our Columbia Heights location. We’re always looking to make things right. We do truly appreciate the feedback as we’re always looking for ways to improve our member experience. Benyam Ephrem: Scheduled an InBody scan a week ago (as a non-member), came in prepped for the scan (no breakfast) at 10am - front desk said they did not have an appointment asking if I received a confirmation email (I said I got no calls or emails), then made me scan a QR code on a banner to schedule for another day since apparently the person doing the scans would be in at 5pm. Frustrating experience. Will not be coming back to the gym.
Response: Benyam, We are terribly sorry for your experience at our Columbia Heights location. It is because of customers like you that we can continue to learn how to improve. We are most certainly sad to hear that we fell short. We want to contact you and learn more about your recent experience. Please feel free to send us an email with additional details to Heretohelp@tsiclubs.com. All the best, Here to Help Team

Gregory Alan: Critical: QualityMediocre at best. See attached pictures below. The equipment is not well maintained and does not justify the cost of membership. Also the club hours are terrible on the weekends.
Response: Gregory, thank you very much for your feedback. We take our member's insights to heart, and we apologize for not providing you with the best possible experience in our clubs. As you know, the pandemic has presented a unique set of obstacles for most business but has especially affected the fitness industry. If you are open to discussing further we would love to connect you with one of our Customer Relations Managers at heretohelp@tsiclubs.com. All the best, Here to help team

Thaiz Alicia: Do not come to this gym!!! They do not care for your safety!! They will cancel your membership for protecting yourself from weird men that will follow you around ! Stay safe and go to a gym that will help you out and help you enjoy your gym experience instead of canceling your membership!

Mahvash Edrissi: I started going to gym a month ago, first it was difficult to come out after so long time lock down. But after few days I got used to it now i want to go there everyday. Friendy staff, and clean place, and all equipment makes this place great. I do my exercise, take a shower and saunas, afterwards I feel great about myself. Thank you wsc
Response: Mahvash, We're delighted to hear about your experience. We truly appreciate your recommendation of our Columbia Heights location. We will work hard to continue going above and beyond. As always, our team is looking forward to your next visit. We are always here if you have any additional feedback or suggestions. You can reach us at Heretohelp@tsiclubs.com. Thanks again, Here to Help Team

Bita Kh: The worst customer service I’ve ever seen. Nobody takes responsibility for the actions. They charge me with new fee membership that is more than the original one because of the mistake that made by themselves. I’ve spoke with customer service and sales department several times, everybody already aware of this problem but no action. When I follow up they send me to new person. This is absurd.
Response: Bita, We're sorry to hear of your less than satisfactory experience at our Columbia Heights location. Washington Sports Clubs - DuPont Circle: what do users think?

G L: Supports individuals following members and blames the victim for the harassment they endured. Canceled their membership for documenting the stalker following them and still charged them for the membership. Very unprofessional on the phone when this situation was being discussed and stated that the victim should have talked to management as if them being followed is something they would address. The company would not address the stalker and that is very clear. It is important that everyone feels safe and comfortable at the gym and they did not create that sort of environment for the victim. I would absolutely not suggest this gym and believe all current members cancel as soon as they possibly can. You are not safe. You will never be safe in this gym. They do not care about their customers…

Jesse Bacon: I was in town three days for a conference and needed a gym to workout in… when we asked about daily passes the staff was super friendly and helpful in allowing me and a colleague to utilize the facility… I was able to complete all of my CrossFit workouts for the three days I was there. The facility was spacious and had everything we needed. Would totally recommend to anyone in the area looking for a gym home or those passing though on business. I’ll visit again whenever I’m in the area.
Response: Hi Jesse! That's amazing, we are so glad you were able to enjoy our Dupont Circle facility and what the club has to offer. We really hope to see you again in the future! Thanks again, HereToHelp@tsiclubs.com

Michael: It's a great gym, I really don't get why the rating isn't higher. Perhaps the former management can be blamed. Juayla could not have been more welcoming. I can recommend this gym 100% Not too busy It's clean Good variety of equipment Big lockers (gotta bring your own lock) A nice, respectful crowed
Response: Michael, WOW! Thank you so much for your 5-star rating of our Dupont Circle location and kind words about team member Juayla. We appreciate you taking the time to leave this review. We hope to see you again soon. If you ever need assistance, you can always reach us at Heretohelp@tsiclubs.com. Thanks again, Here to Help Team

J Heather: Very friendly front desk staff and cleaning staff. Location is well maintained (cleanliness and equipment). The location can get crowded especially during rush hours (around lunch and at the end of the day). The other WSC nearby shutdown so their members automatically transferred to this location. Bathroom/lockers may be spotty at times but it depends on the time of the day. They offer membership discounts if you sign up in person (just a warning regarding the annual fee- they cannot waive it).
Response: J Heather, We're thrilled that you were satisfied with our Dupont Circle location. We are happy to hear our team members are meeting your expectations. Your feedback is appreciated, and we are here should you ever need help in the future. You can always reach us at Heretohelp@tsiclubs.com. Thanks again, Here to Help Team

Linnies World: I give this gym -10/10. A facility were the staff don't care about your safety is not a place to be. Not to mention taking people hard earned money when they were protecting themselves. Let not mention the unprofessional person on the other end of the phone. This makes no sense honestly they guy needs to be fired.

Whittney Dents: A club member was being followed and recorded the interaction to protect himself. Instead of the manager being understanding, he abruptly canceled the members membership and would not give them a refund. In a society where you truly don’t know the intentions of people, recording yourself for protection should not be punished. Shame on this establishment and the manager.

Nesi Smith: This gym feel as if it’s ok for a member to be stalked and you terminate them because they’re recording for their safety!!! As a former law enforcement officer I felt the need to record was justifiable and due to the fact that he didn’t report it shouldn’t matter. You have all types of weirdos working out so the need to report is slim to none unless that person actually starts following and stalking you to point where every move you make they make!!!! Refund should have been given as well as an apology.

Micha-Re Newton: This gym disregards the safety of its members and instead punishes them for taking precautions of their own safety. A recent member had just posted an interaction on social media of how he was followed by a man throughout his entire visit. The man would move to every corner that the member did. Even down to preforming intimidating acts by setting his belongings directly next to the member. WSC then decided that they would suspend the members membership for “recording and posting. & should have taken it to management” yet no actions have been taking on the predatory behavior of the man that was recorded. I can’t imagine how they would treat a woman in this same situation if this is how they treated a gentleman.

Carmen King: Unprofessional. Member felt unsafe and recorded the man following him. The stalker told the manager & the manager canceled the victims membership and refused to give a refund. Didn't ask the victim his side or anything. Not good business & you should feel safe in your gym. 0/10

Tiana Stewart: This club does not care about the safety and well-being of their customers. Your membership will be terminated if you vent about the gym on social media with no refund of your monthly payment. This gym is not safe If you are attending alone. If you do go to this gym, please go with another person so that you were not followed around the gym.

Hill's Gymnastics Training Center: what do users think?

Jean Mao: My daughter landed on her head from a monkey bar while someone should have paid attention and avoided it. Luckily there is no permanent physical damage but now she refuses to try anything bar related. I don't trust them no more.
Response: Hello, We don’t have a record of doing business with you or have your last name in our system. We also don’t have monkey bars in our gym and believe this was left in error.

Adrienne Keyser Luxury Life: My 5 year old son was invited for a birthday party. The kids were able to get out there, learn a few things and have fun. I had been there yeqrs ago and the parents were allowed to be out on the floor having fun with the kids but this time no parents allowed. I was able to get a bit of video through the window but we were all standing around in a small space so it was hard to get a lot of pictures of them playing around. The actual party was like all typical little kids parties with pizza, veggies/fruit and cake. It looked as if the parents brought everything in so you may want to check the food situation before booking a party. It was pretty easy to find and had good parking for a weekend. Didn't look into pricing but have heard they are a bit pricey for classes and lessons. At the end of the day my little guy had fun and left with a huge smile.

Jo Jo: I don't know where to begin. My daughter's coach is sarcastic and rude and doesn't appear to have adequate training herself. Told my daughter who is a seasoned gymnast that what she was doing wasn't "a thing in gymnastics" meanwhile we watched others in an advanced level doing the same skill. Head scratcher.... And I can't say for sure if this is happening but other gyms we have attended there is a floor manager who rounds during classes and observes the skills of students and if someone stands out they offer them a spot on the team and this really encourages kids to try harder if they want a spot on the team. And I see other reviews mentioning too many kids in classes and I second that - they book too many and kids get lost in the shuffle. Also, consistency is a BIG issue here. There is a sign that says masks are required and I have seen them tell other students and parents to mask up or wait outside. But this is not applicable to everyone - their star olympic alternate is the exception apparently so what kind of example is this setting to young ones? Then and this was pretty frustrating to watch. A parent was videoing her child and another child ran into the camera view and that parent's child complained at the desk. Now the sign says to try to video or photograph only your child but I will tell you as I sat there, I saw at least 2 other moms videoing their child but only this one mother was spoken to. And quite honestly the mom handled it well - she retorted to the concerned parent "well - were you looking over my shoulder at my phone bc that is invasion of my privacy." it was a little tense and the employee had said her piece and walked away almost leaving it for these 2 moms to duke it out. But my issue was that the employee only said it to the one parent and did not address the other 2 soooo not great. The employee could have just made a general announcement and in her defense she did gently say just to be careful not to get other kids in her shot. This is the first gym I have ever been to with this rule. Other gyms we have attended had us sign a photograph waiver that covered the gym taking pics or any "incidental" pics with your child in it by other parents. Parents are proud of their littles and should be allowed to capture them achieving milestones. There are a lot of gym options in this area so Hills is going to need to step it up to keep people. One day as we were getting ready to leave, I overheard a group of people talking and were very frustrated with the gym's lack of COVID responsiveness. It is disappointing especially as we keep hearing of increased numbers of infection. Other gyms have people wait outside until the prior class is emptied out but they continue the practice of everyone coming and going through this small corridor to get shoes and collect children. There are ways to improve here and it is not apparent that there is any attempt to be safer. I personally do not observe equipment being wiped down between classes - something I see at other gyms as well. Granted we could all just stop sending our children but this parent feels it is important to keep her kiddo active and it would be nice if that need was appreciated by businesses - bc we could all just say NO and then these places could close. We have to work together here.
Response: Thank you for your feedback. We've taken many precautions since COVID began such as masking policies according to local mandates, temperature taking, daily deep cleaning of the gym and wiping things down between classes. We know some of this isn't always seen by parents, but we are taking many precautions to ensure a safe environment for our students and staff. We would be so appreciative of your time and love the opportunity to discuss your concerns directly but are unable to locate your information. Please give us a call at 301-840-5900 and ask to speak with Jason (our floor manager).

Shana Thompson: .I went to and worked at Hills back in 2007 before I had girls of my own now I have 2 and we have been coming from NY every weekend for the past 5 weeks
Response: Thank you for the wonderful review! We're so glad to have you back at the gym with your girls!

HAPA: My daughter has been training at Hill's for the past 5 years, starting in classes and moving onto the competitive team. The coaches have always supported her working toward her goals. I've been particular impressed with their handling of the things during the pandemic, especially in the return to the gym. As any parent, I was nervous at first, but felt confident in her return after seeing all of the steps that Hill's took to protect the athletes and staff....and 3 months in they are still has vigilant about cleaning, temperature checking, mask wearing, distancing, and managing numbers as they were in the early weeks. This is not an easy feat to accomplish but they are committed to complying to ensure safety and to keep the gym in business to be here for the community.
Response: Thank you for this wonderful review! The health of our students is our first priority and we’re glad you feel confident having your daughter in the gym!

Eli Pintilie: Rude stuff - I am tired of these business- scolding you for not having masks - when the *experts and local authorities* took off the mask mandates. About a year ago we were feeling bad for them - helping them and now out of the sudden they are experts in viruses. These type institutions should be the one promoting breathing- what a precious gift - breathing So sad - I won't support any of these businesses anymore
Response: As we are considered an educational institute, we continue to follow the same mask guidelines. If you'd like to discuss this further, we'd love to speak with you and can be reached at (301) 840- 5900.

William Debley: I have been a gymnastics coach and instructor since 1996. I've worked at several gyms around the country. Hill's Gymnastics is an example of what a gymnastics facility should be. The sports of gymnastics is the hardest sport in the world. It's not for everyone. To be successful takes hard work and dedication. Hill's is so good at working towards each child's benefit. The classes are set up so that kids that have potential to do well can be seen and move in to the direction best for them. That could be team, Xcel or specific classes. I worked there full time for over 12 years and it was one of the best experiences of my life. The staff are knowledgeable and know what they are doing. You have to remember, this is not Starbucks, try are there to teach and make gymnast's, not to tell you what you want to hear. That's not fair to the gym or the gymnast. I would recommend Hill's to my closest friends and family and stranger's. Kelli, Cynthia ,Amy, Willy and everyone else are phenomenal.
Response: Thank you for taking the time to leave such a wonderful review! We strive to create a positive environment and love to hear that we've been successful with this goal.

Kate Jordan: Positive: Professionalism, Quality, ValueHill's is incredibly clean and I'm very impressed with the measures they've taken during COVID. No one can compare to the awesome staff! This is the best gymnastics gym in this area!

Santosh Bhor: My kids go to gymnastics here and the couches are very dedicated. I have seen my kids growing at hills and its a wonderful experience.
Response: Thank you for the great review! We love our coaches and are glad your kids enjoy them too!

Bing Brothers: Greatest Gym of all time! Home to many olympians for example Dominic Dawes and ran by the legendary Kelly Hill! The staff is amazing and very hands on. This place is so inspiring I’ve progressed so much in my Gymnastics since training here. 5 stars from me; well deserved
Response: Thank you for the lovely feedback and rating! We try our best to provide a great experience. Have a great week!

Equinox Sports Club Washington, D.C.: what do users think?

Daniel Caroe: Almost at the end of my year membership and will not be renewing simply due to the customer service. In my experience, a good amount of the staff are hard to work with and even snobby at times and its takes multiple calls and requests to get anything changed on my account. Here are a few examples of the troubles I have had: 1) I called twice over the summer to freeze my membership for a few months while I was travelling. They said this would not be a problem and that they would do it.......I called a third time about month later to find out that they did not freeze it and were still charging me. When I told them about the first two times I called, they said they had no recollection of this happening. Kinda a waste of money for me in that case. 2) I was having some trouble with my personal training scheduling and called to get in contact with the PT Manager. I called multiple times over the course of a week and each time they told me he was busy. They assured me I would get a call back from him but this call never came. (kinda annoying he could not take the time for maybe a 15min conversation) 3) I had to cancel a PT session due to illness (strep) which they said meant I would not be charged a cancellation fee for my session. They definitely still charged me, and again, it was impossible to get into contact with the PT manager. Overall, it's a great facility but I find the staff to be pretty inadequate and kinda rude (namely a front desk person named Shaniya and one of the club managers named Dwayne). I loved my trainer Evan (highly recommend) but in the end, I feel like I could get what I need at another gym with a nicer staff.
Response: Hi Daniel, we are very sorry to hear about this experience. It's definitely not what we like to hear. Please connect with us at concierge@equinox.com. We'd love to get additional details regarding this matter and investigate, allowing us to work towards making improvements going forward. Please be sure to mention your review so we can address quickly.

David Gershman: Today I signed up and had a great experience. Mike, in membership, not only showed me around- they answered every question with full clarity, gave me far more insight than I expected, and was simply very nice and sweet. I knew I was going to get a membership going in, but it’s nice to get warmth and comfort instantly upon arrival. Felt like I was one of the regular folks
Response: Hi David, thanks for the 5 stars!

June Wade: Scheduled a spa massage for my friend’s birthday at the Ritz Carlton/ Equinox (Foggy Bottom) location. The staff was courteous and the gym was clean. I was disappointed the spa does not offer champagne or snacks for special occasions, instead we were given “swag bags” full of gym advertisements and trinkets. If you’re not a guest at the hotel, arriving early is highly recommended (parking, etc). Must walk outside to enter Equinox since elevator access to spa is for guest only. My massage therapist was (Donna) friendly, courteous but chatty. I was not interested in talking about where I live, hearing comments about my “poor”elbows🙄 or asking why my shoulders were so tight during my 80 minute massage. Unfortunately , the massage was not good (technique). Ambiance was fair in the room, there was no soothing music or waterfall fountains, just dim lights, and a cool quiet room. The warm bed with robes was a nice perk. Not a fan of the massage lotion (dry paste) used, she had to continuously spend time stepping away from the massage to reapply. I’m giving this spa 3 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️since my girlfriend had a positive experience with her masseuse. In addition, they provided a quiet space and champagne glasses for us to enjoy our BYOB champagne post massage. Would not recommend, lacks luxury for the price. $500+ ( 2 people)

Lauren Arquette: As all the other reviews said, horrible customer service. The club itself is fine, but don't try to bring a guest and don't try to cancel the membership because it's impossible and no one responds. I was a member for all of a week and tried to quit because I was told when signing up a guest of mine could come if I gave them that guests info. Gave them my guests info- they never put it in the system and turned them away at the door without even trying to investigate the problem/track down the person who gave my guest the ok. Was also told they hard certain equipment for rent when they didn't. If this was a planet fitness I wouldn't complain, but this is a $200+/month club that markets itself as elite. Nothing is elite about their customer service. Per the customer agreement you get 15 days to cancel and get a refund- tried emailing the manager for my refund, tried calling the concierge and nothing yet. I'd love to know if they actually even answer the emails they get when they respond to these complaints "sorry to hear about your experience! contact us as at..."
Response: Hi Lauren, please connect with us at Concierge@equinox.com. We would love to get additional details that led to this review so we can investigate closely. We would be happy to discuss this matter with you further if you'd like to share additional feedback. Please be sure to mention your review so we can address quickly.

TPMT Associates: Love it here as usual - they take care of the place and most importantly, the people who works out here take care of the place and is clean and tidy and doesn’t trash the place. As usual, it’s the people who come to gyms that are the messy/dirty and this place doesn’t have those ppl - not that I saw anyways!
Response: Thank you for reviewing!

John Heinemann: You get what you pay for. This gym doesn’t make sense for everyone, no one is a better person for going here, and a free gym in an apartment building is going to do 90% of what Equinox does. But the other 10%? I actually look forward to working out more when there’s both a sauna and a steam room, a saltwater pool, luxury bath products, memory foam floors for stretching, and refrigerators full of Eucalyptus infused face towels. I go for the amenities, and then I just decide to work out because I’m already there.
Response: Thanks for the 5 stars, John! Glad to hear you are enjoying our amenities.

Lena Fleischmann: Lots of amenities (pool, basketball court, steam room, sauna, soulcyle bikes...), good customer service, they constantly make improvements by adding products in the changing rooms like razors, hair ties, curling irons etc. What I don't like about it (apart from the price obviously): it's pretty much packed no matter what time you go which is annoying - wish they had a gadget in the app that would tell you how busy it is beforehand. Also, showers aren't always very clean.

Izabella Ritz: The club has a pool with saltwater which is very convenient, covid safety is great, the thing why I didn't join is no natural lights in a building, which is very important for me personally.
Response: Hi Izabella, we appreciate you taking the time to tell us about your experience. Thank you for the 5 stars and we will be sure to escalate your feedback to the appropriate teams.

Gelila Sebhatu: I called to inquiry about membership packages and I found the sales rep, Erica, a little rude and she did not directly answer my questions, which was irritating. Based on the reviews here, I’m not surprised I received this type of experience. I guess I’ll be looking elsewhere. I just wanted a nearby pool 🏊‍♀️
Response: Hi Gelila, we are sorry to hear you had this experience. We hope that you will give us another shot to show you we are capable of better service.

Ebony Williams: Do not work at equinox if you have living situation or just a situation period the manger Duane don’t care if you have living situation problems he even told one of the employees that mid shift is childish because we all going through something sorry if you hired people who have living situation or who gave problems and be careful of the Towels and hand towels they wash them in hot water only no solution that why the towels look a little dirty Yess I use to work their and got fired because I was trying to find a place to stay the days I called out because I was homeless the cleaning manger is horrible at his job and HR needs to send a Secret Santana to see how they clean the place

Capitol Hill Sport&Health: what do users think?

Allison Nielsen: It's a good gym! Lots of equipment and levels so it's kind of spread out and the locker rooms are nice. I will say that the equipment doesn't seem that new and some machines could use some upgrades/repairs (things like the fans don't work on them) but overall I've always enjoyed all the times I've been here!
Response: Thanks Capitol Hill Sport&Health! We are incredibly grateful that you took the time out to leave us this note. Our company values put customer satisfaction as top priority and we are committed to our customers.

Edward Wendel: Great gym and great trainers. I have been using gym since its opening. I am now 81 (yes, I know, old). Have been training for several years with Razonte Dunn. He may be exceptional at training high performing athletes, but he also has a special gift for taking everyone seriously and taking them to the highest level they can achieve. He not only knows the mechanics of training, he communicates a desire to make you succeed that is contagious. This experience has been life-changing.
Response: Hi Edward, Thank you for the 5-stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Asher Allman: Great gym at an affordable rate. Helpful and responsive staff, both in person trainers and with online/email inquiries. All the equipment you would need, and a really cool atmosphere/space. Big fan!
Response: Hi Asher, Thank you for the 5-stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Paxton Helms: Love this place and have been going for years. Lots of room, trainers are great (if you want to use them), changing areas are large and clean, and price is reasonable. I don't do classes but do love that they have a counterweighted dip and pull up machine. They also have parking! Great neighborhood resource.
Response: Thank you very much for such a great review! We work very hard to make sure that we are offering the best experience. So happy to hear that our commitment was clear with you!

Rachael Hunt: I want to give 5 stars to Raz, one of the trainers. I’ve been working out with him in his group classes and it’s been a great experience. He is super enthusiastic and always plans engaging and effective workouts. He is a great motivator. If you are ready to push yourself, he’s the trainer for you.
Response: Hi Rachael, We are happy to hear you had a positive experience at Capitol Hill Sport&Health! We value your input and encourage you to let us know more details about your experience with us.

Flynn Chapman: Love Sport and Health. The gym staff are always friendly and the gym equipment is in good shape. I've trained with Raz for a while now and he's been an excellent trainer getting me in great shape.
Response: Hi Flynn, Thank you for the 5-stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Sam C: I do not recommend this gym, they have terribly dishonest billing practices. It borders on a scam. I requested cancellation of my account during COVID, and was told on the phone that "as a courtesy" they would instead freeze my account until I was ready to start coming back. 3 months later, they started billing me again. Shame on me, I only noticed this 4-5 months later. When I contacted them, they said "you are not eligible for a refund without proof of a previous written request to extend the freeze on your account." Despite the fact I was never told I would need to request an extension. I was never told I needed an extension, I was told to contact them when I wanted to come back. Reading through other reviews, it appears this is a common problem.
Response: Hello [NAME] If you’re open to discussing your experience further, please call us at (202) 234-5678. We’d greatly appreciate the opportunity to make things right and work toward earning back your business.

Lindsey Taylor: This review is specific to Razonte and his semi-private Explosive Performance (EP) Class. I have been taking Raz's EP class once a week for about 4 months and can see a real difference in my strength, how I talk to my body and my confidence in using free weights and the weight room. In total, I have lost about 20 pounds, and Raz's class and his wealth of knowledge absolutely was the catalyst. I have been a life-long fitness class attendee, and when Covid hit, I felt far more lost than I expect as I tried to come up with a consistent workout plan. As gyms in the area open back up I knew I needed to learn the basics of a weight room from a professional. Enter Raz. I couldn't afford personal training, but I could afford EP. I met with Raz and we talk about my goals, and after reviewing the body scan metrics, talked about realistic expectations and set a plan. Sure, the body scan said I needed to lose about 40lbs, but Raz said to me, "Realistically, where can you make small changes in your life that you can maintain to start to move towards whatever goal you have first? That is where we start". I still felt the fun, competitive aspect of group fitness, but I learned the correct form and how much weight I could really throw around, and saw a bunch of non-scale victories that I am very proud of. I think Raz's personality has a lot to do with my success. Each person in the class gets told what weight they should grab for each new movement and each person is getting personally coached or cheered on. You don't feel that lapse of attention, no matter how many people are in the class. There are times when he will push you because he knows you can do more, but never in a way where you feel like you are being yelled at or being called out. He listens to you, offers alternative movements before you have to remind him of your injuries, and all the while picking up on how you like to be motivated. From there he leans in to create a safe space for you to work hard (and it is hard) and push yourself to hit your goals.
Response: Hi Lindsey, Thank you for the 5-stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Andrew Kugle: I've been a member of Capitol Hill Sport & Health for over a year now along with the semi-private Explosive Performance (EP) Class. My trainer Razonte has been phenomenal in getting me back in shape and building more muscle than I've ever had before. At first, I struggled to finish the hour training sessions that I did once a week. But he encouraged me to keep at it and suggested several workouts that I could do on my own on the days I didn't have a EP class. Now, I am able to work throughout an entire session and have increased my classes from one a week to two. If you put in the work and time with Raz, you will notice a difference in your energy level, your strength and overall health. Every few months, we do a check-in to see how much progress we made and I personally have seen my body-fat percentage decrease and my muscle-mass increase over time. While Raz will push you to work hard, he is cognizant of peoples' limits and abilities, prioritizing one's health. He's also a funny and great guy, who gives out constant encouragement and will hold you accountable. In my opinion, the price for the semi-private classes is worth it. You get to workout with a small group of people and you will definitely notice results if you put the time and work in. The gym itself is clean and has all the equipment you will need. The staff is friendly and encouraging to everyone who comes. Highly recommend being a member and taking Raz's sessions. - Andrew K.
Response: Hi Andrew, Thank you for leaving such a wonderful review! We are so happy that you are enjoying your experience with us! It has been a pleasure serving you and we look forward to more great experiences at Sport and Health.

Devon Murphy: Love this gym! Best gym in the area by far. My only recommendation would be to add mirrors in front of ALL the squat racks. It is beyond me why half would have mirrors and half do not.
Response: Hi Devon, On behalf of myself and the team, we are so happy that you are enjoying your experience with us! It has been a pleasure serving you and we look forward to more great experiences at Capitol Hill Sport&Health.

barre3: what do users think?

Denise Recinos: I've been going to Barre3 for almost two months now, and I've loved it! I didn't know what to expect, but it's been such a great workout experience. The class instructors keep you moving and the music pumps you up as well. If you're looking for a workout that puts your body to work and is still fun, I highly recommend Barre3!

Kathleen Schwarz: After having my first child, I had a hard time finding an exercise class that allowed me to reconnect to my core muscles, adapt moves for my current abilities and range of motion, not strain a recovering pelvic floor, and still be challenging. The classes at barre3 have checked all these boxes! I’m already noticing much more stability in my core and the glute strength I’ve been missing after only one week of attending. I’d definitely recommend this for someone returning to exercise postpartum!

Kristen Sharpe: I've taken several classes with different instructors, in-person and via zoom with Barre3 DC and each one has been great! The instructors give modifications for every fitness level and the workouts are full-body without being hard on your joints. Trust me, muscles you didn't even know you had will be sore!

Nhu Girl: If you’re new, I like to say Barre3 is a mixture of Zumba, Yoga, and Ballet techniques combined. It’s fun, upbeat and challenging. They offer a lot of time slots so it’s easy to schedule a class into your day. Parking is easy to find and love their location.

Jessica Goodman: barre3 DC studios (Clarendon, Navy Yard, Union Station) consistently provide a stellar workout and a wide variety of options to keep me engaged and successful during workouts. The staff and members are very welcoming and non-judgemental. Highly recommend.

Elizabeth Charash: Great classes!! Love an early morning workout and it is so nice to have so many options throughout the week. The instructors are great and the studio is a nice respite from a busy day.

Gwen Cummings: I love this studio! It's conveniently located, immaculately clean, and feels like an oasis after a long work day. I've been to three classes so far and have yet to be disappointed in an instructor. I'll definitely be going regularly.

Mathea Pielemeier: Barre3 instructors are always friendly, energetic, and welcoming! It’s a great low impact workout and good combo of cardio & strength work.

Abby Balmert: Barre3 is by far the best barre studio in the DMV area - much better than PureBarre or BarreMethod. I love the instructors' energy and the combination of cardio, yoga, and classic barre moves. The ball, sliders, bands and weights make for great props and an intense workout. I always work up a great sweat - and shake - while I'm here!

Cally Perkins: Barre3 Navy Yard is a great experience. Impressive studio with plenty of space and fun instructors who keep you energized and going! Highly recommend.

The Little Gym of Washington Township: what do users think?

Lauren Hall: We’ve had experience now with a few different events/activities offered at this little location. Our daughter, Reagan, did one of the gymnastics classes in the spring, and it was honestly the first thing we’ve ever seen her really take to. Everything up until that point she could take or leave. She loved the Little Gym so much that we booked her 4th birthday party there. The party was on Saturday, and we were soo happy with how it turned out. Miss Abby and the other girl, whose name I wish I had gotten, did an amazing job. The party room looked beautiful (all I did was drop off our theme decorations prior), the party was ran so smoothly, and then they cleaned the whole thing up. We think all the kids, especially the birthday girl, really enjoyed themselves. It was worth every penny.

Bianca Thach: Death trap. This place is not safe for children. Metal beams are exposed with nuts and bolts, with the only padding for those areas is colorful duct tape. Staff seemed like a group of teenagers that had no training in first aid. Obstacle courses were set up in a way that almost guarantees injury.

Gia Pepe: Such a cute place for younger kids not ready for a big gymnasium Staff was nice Gym was clean Pricing was fair Kids had a blast!

Gianna C Boyer: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, Quality, ValueMy child loves it there. We are taking a break but will be back in the spring. The teachers are so sweet and really love the kids.

Pat bonanni: Nick, the instructor, is wonderful. He is patient and makes sure to include all of the children at their own level. He packs many fun and educational activities into a 45 minute session. Our twins love him and enjoy going to the "Little Gym". Meghan, at the desk, is very pleasant and helpful.

Carly Shewchuk: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, Quality, ValueLove it here super fun my sons first time & he had a blast ! Can’t wait for our next class !!

Joanne Thurston: Very nice kids had a great time and atmosphere was good as well as the girls who were working the party had a great time

Richard Elliott: Ms Meghan is the fun factor, kids love her and she is very good at what she does.

Jillian O'Hara: This is a amazing Gym🤩So fun!!You can learn a lot!!

sade pujols: Love this place. My son enjoys it very much and very sweet staff.

Rainbow Gymnastics: what do users think?

kathleen cigala: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, Quality, ValueWhat a blast! My son has been enrolled since he was 12 months! The teachers and staff are so warm and welcoming. They also have so much patience with the kids(my son can be hard to transition sometimes) The structure the class shows my son is great! He really looks forward to it each week!

Nicole Messina: Please all mom's If you have young children do not take them here I have a three-year-old and hes been going here for 4 months. He did love it up until today. Today when his session was done, He wanted to come to me and let me put his shoes on, You would think that wouldn't be a problem, But the coach picked him up and decided to hold him while he was crying for me, So I gave it a few minutes to let him cry it out but after he kept asking for me I said OK let me have him But she ignored me. The office lady came out of her office and heard the commotion And made it like its my fault, Like I shouldn't be asking for my child while hes crying. By this point I was getting very frustrated because they made it like I shouldn't be asking for him loudly when I was being ignored. The woman then said well we want our children to work through their crying Which I replied what gives you the right to make that decision. I pay them a $133 a month for a Once a week session. You would really think instead of arguing with me they would have came from a place of trying to understand why I was so upset. No one likes seeing their child cry for them especially while being held against their will. They are gone to do this to the wrong person one day and the way I handle it was pretty reasonable.

Amber Ovecka: My son Zac has taken classes at Rainbow and participated in the Summer Camps. The staff are highly trained and professional, the gym is professionally cleaned every day, and they are extremely devoted to keeping a safe facility. My son has loved each of his teachers and camp counselors and we are excited to participate in camp again this summer.

Kelley Mchutchison: Very unprofessional manager/owner. He has been disrespectful, ignorant, and rude. He has poor communication skills when it comes to speaking with customers and does not care if he keeps your child as a client or not. He is so arrogant, it's sad to think he is still a business owner. The lady at the front desk is just as rude and disrespectful.
Response: Our mission is: To provide professional instruction within a safe environment that fosters self-esteem. As we explained, in order to meet our safe environment standard, we will address any conduct that is counter to our COVID protocols. To maintain our professional and kid friendly environment, we will not tolerate expletive laced rants in front of our students. Our students’ wellbeing will continue to be the driving force in our conduct. Thank you for the opportunity to serve your children over of the past four years.

Dawn Sharpsteen: My daughter has been at Rainbow since 2 1/2 and loves it. The owner and staff are all very friendly and make the students and parents comfortable with open conversations, and are always out on the floor watching, suggesting, and getting to know everyone. My daughter also is involved in soccer year round in addition to gymnastics and the time slots available for classes are always easy to schedule so to not miss practices or classes due to the other sport. All of the coaches are prior students or spent their life growing up doing gymnastics and/or competitions so they are all very experienced. You have the choice to commit and go competition or just take a class for fun. They are both great environments depending on what your child wants to do and what works for you as a parent. Love it here and have recommended it to many others already!

Dariush Molavi: My daughter has been here for 5 years and loves it, not just for the gymnastics, but for the friends and the fun she has here. The coaches push the kids just far enough without being mean or cruel...they make sure the kids know that when they're in the gym, it's work time, not time to goof off. But they make the time out there fun for them.

Alice Y: The coaches stay on their phones most of the time and your kid won’t learn much with them. The front desk lady is very rude. I’m very disappointed, especially considering how much money they charge

Ryan Kenna: Horrible coaches and poor gymnastics skills. Go to Atlantic coast gymnasts. They are a way better gym.
Response: Rainbow Gymnastics takes offering intentional and purposeful instruction within a safe environment very seriously. We invite everyone to visit our facility and experience our commitment to high quality professional instruction developed over the past 33 years. We are confused by this rating and the motivation to disparage our company’s reputation since we have no record of this individual ever attended or being affiliated with our facility.

Tiara !: This is a great place i went here when i was young

Nick Joseph: Poor lesson and teachers.

9Round Fitness: what do users think?

viridiana camacho: The staff and classes (5 stars) the team was always very welcoming and opened to help, I finished my 3 months membership and was very pleased with the experiences, I asked to sign up for 1 more month since I was in the process of moving and could not commit to any more time, thinking it was a done deal, I didn’t visit the gym after the month ended. Today I got a past due alert and when I called I was told I was still a member and I had to write an email cancelling my subscription, I was in disbelief since I had not visited the gym since March, I had not received a call or the “accountability text” they promised when you don’t show up as an active member, which made me think this membership was cancelled. When I called to try understand how we could reach a resolution, I was given no option and just an apology for the confusion. The team needs additional training in explaining the areas of the contracts regarding payments and being more upfront and honest about their contracts.

Kelsey Callahan: The trainers at Navy Yard go out of their way to make you feel welcome, and then they make sure you have an incredible workout. As someone who’s dabbled in boutique fitness, I’ve never had a better workout with a better coach.

heidi webb: Trainer London was amazing!!! Fabulous workout while on vacation. I am a member in NH and popped in for a workout.

Christie B: Its the best 30 minute work out I ever had! Plus there are trainers there to guide and motivate you. There is a different work out every time and you show up when it's convenient for you. I deducted one star because they are only open for four hours on Saturdays and closed on Sunday, so I have to try to get my three days in during the work week which can be a challenge for me sometimes.

Rebecca Wolf: I really enjoy my gym experience at 9Round. The trainers are great! They are positive, motivating, and knowledgeable. The class schedule is perfect if you have a dynamic schedule. You can literally pop in anytime they are open and start your workout. Workouts are 30 minutes, change daily, and self paced (within the 3 minutes of each round). If you are looking forsomething new and different with a bit of direction and guidance give 9Round a try!

Jessica Marie: After trying several different gyms/at home workout routines I've yet to find anything as amazing as 9round! Their supportive and motivating staff not only hype you up the entire 30 minutes they're also right there next to you putting in the work! I've never been so excited to workout ever. I leave each and everytime so extremely proud of myself and ready to do it all over the next day. PLUS when you join they gave a recipe book that gives you neat ideas for your next meal 😋

Guillaume Shime: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, QualityThe Navy Yard club shoutout to all the trainers. Amazing workout every time! You better come rested ready to go! Great attentive staff knowledgeable personable and passionate Great energy and intensity I love it!!!

Jeffery Clay: 9rounds Fitness is an incredible place! The environment is challenging, dynamic, fun and competitive all rolled into one package. The trainers are concerned about your improvement physically and psychologically! They push you to your limits with a sense of urgency and empathy. You will alway leave this gym feeling better about yourself physically...but more importantly you leave with a sense of self confidence from reaching your fitness goals with the support of a very professional and concerned team of trainers!!!

Malachi Stewart: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, QualityI have had an amazing experience with 9Rounds Navyard in DC. The staff is courteous, professional and thorough. Not only do they provide and excellent workout each time but they are unwavering in adhering to sanitation protocols. I am inspired to not only be at my best physical state but I'd love to be a trainer some day.

Amy Gleason: I have been going to 9Round for six weeks now. The coaches are amazingly supportive. I am just now getting back in to working out after a long time, and I was terrified and embarrassed to walk in the door. From the first day, they have encouraging and supportive and made me feel welcome! They are great at both pushing me and at modifying the things I need modified.
