Esther Caulton: Daniel did a wonderful job taking photos for my real estate listing. He was able to capture exactly what me and my sellers were looking for. The job included among other things twilight and nighttime photos of the exterior, and the results were stunning. Highly recommend Uptown Photography for quality real estate photography.

Patrick Smith: Daniel at Uptown Photo did a combo photo/video shoot for a recent listing of mine -- and knocked the project out of the park! He worked with the seller/owner and myself simultaneously and offered great insight, advice and professional opinion on what was needed get the property noticed on the MLS. Daniel knew he had very limited time to achieve a finished product and handled the entire process with wonderfully expertise under pressure. chelsie taliaferro: SERIOUSLY!!! Do not use this company. Just to make this short, I had to wait 2 hours after promised time, twice, to pick up my shirts. Then when I picked them up, 5 out of 30 of them weren’t sellable and I didn’t feel like I needed to check all 30 after checking the first 10. THENNNN, I give them another shot and they tell me I would have to wait two days because they ran out of ink! LASTLY, one employee told me for that reason I could bring my shirts the following day and have them done. When I come in, he wasn’t here and I was told that they couldn’t do same day even though am representative from their business called me and reassured me that I could. They promised me that I could depend on them after looking for so many places and all it’s done is make me look bad as I am just starting my business. I tried to support my people in their family owned business but this has caused me nothing but an headache and looking bad as a business owner. Go to people that are interested in making your vision come to life and keep their promises, as a “professional business”. AND from the looks, they are probably writing their own reviews. Disappointing.

(TH)XM: The short version if you are quickly scanning – They are: - Excellent at listening to what you need and delivering quickly and effectively. - Extremely professional while having great personalities. - Comprised of creative designers and developers. - Black-owned with a staff of color The version you should read: I contacted a few Black-owned marketing companies in December 2021. Either some responded unprofessionally, slowly, or felt my project was too early-stage for their services. Elxel Creative Agency, however, followed up quickly after I submitted my inquiry. We scheduled our call, and immediately I knew Sammy would superintend with strong perceptiveness. It was refreshing to talk to someone who validated my vision and intentions and spoke frankly about what needed to be done. He is very skilled with the sandwich method for feedback and brainstorming. He accredits with "Good," hits you with "However…" and moves to "Great! Now, this is our next step." I love that style because it makes the project less overwhelming. We started in January and ended in May of this year. Each month he laid out a plan on what would be done to reach my final goal. I started out with an awful logo and website I made. What was odd in the most amazing way is that they figured out my style by our third/fourth meeting. Sammy, Brittany, Richard, and the rest of the team were close to spot on when presenting the first drafts of my logo and website. This is a sentiment to the scrupulous attention to my requests and style. I appreciate how Sammy, Brittany, Richard, and the rest of the team took extra steps to address my (sometimes annoying) requests. They were never irritated towards me, which was generous. I have a beautiful logo and website that Brittany and the team took time to develop by the end. I also gained new skills from Sammy on ways to expand and showcase my company. Looking at their competitors, their retainer agreements are better than what similar constructed companies are offering. With Excel, you get family-like service that makes you feel safe in trusting their work. This may look like a paid review, but I promise it isn’t. Working with them is wonderful. I have nothing negative to say. Elxel is outstanding. As my company grows, there is no doubt I will continue working with Elxel.

Jermaine Williams: So I did not have brand and marketing in my budget. I was just looking for a logo. After speaking with the Agency they made a good argument of why I needed much more than a logo. Hannah LePage: Went above and beyond - highly professional & prioritizes complete customer satisfaction. We got 3 different quotes for printing and installing our company logo vinyl onto our glass office door in our Charlotte office, and I would choose Heritage Printing again for our future work. Jason was prompt with communications, got us a formal quote right away up front so that we could make an informed decision, and his team delivered ahead of schedule. Being out of state, it can be easy to feel uneasy about taking a chance on a new vendor relationship. Jason and his team made us feel completely at ease with their level of professionalism, asking the right questions, prompt response times and moving the project along swiftly. From point of sale, they were able to print and install within a 1 week turn around time. Although the initial install was a bit off (and I couldn't be there in person since I work from our Austin location), Jason followed up with an install photo and we realized it was likely due to our measurements being miscalculated or us scaling the vinyl too large. Jason provided guidance in regards to his suggestions, and him and his team proactively worked with us to resolve the issue, took accountability, and returned the next day to fix the install and ensure it matched the approved proof. In any business, mistakes happen on both sides, and having ability to focus on the customer being happy and satisfied with the finished product instead of focusing on who was to blame - is the kind of experience that make loyal customers who want to do business with you. We're extremely happy with the finished product and how Heritage Printing delivered. Looking forward to working with them again soon.

anitatumba: Heritage printing is hands down one of the best organizations we’ve worked with for printing and custom signage. We first found Heritage when looking for vendors that could produce a couple of large step-and-repeat backdrop banners with a fast turnaround (within one week). Most vendors turned us away, until Heritage. Not only were they able to accommodate our needs with a fast turnaround, but they were incredibly helpful and responsive along the way. We were so impressed with their work that we turned to them again months later for a rather large order for canvas prints and a large collage-styled wall wrap for our office. Heritage impressed us once again. They were fast, helpful, and even went the extra mile to make recommendations to ensure our project would come out looking as best as possible. The Project Manager, Lamar, was very responsive and made the whole process run seamless. The installation by Ca’Lan was very professional, and we couldn’t be happier with the final result. Ruffin Price: I needed a graphics designer to help me turn an old photo into a book cover. I called a local company, and a gentleman by the name of Laith answered and asked me to email my photo to him. I was stunned the next morning to find a beautifully designed book cover in my email. I sat there a full minute admiring the cover before calling my wife. After my sister in NC, and son in college agreed it surpassed any expectations, I asked Laith to reorganize and redesign the text too. I highly recommend Laith for any book cover or web design. You won't find a more highly skilled professional, nor a nicer person.

Evelyn Burnette: I am a home improvement contractor in Northern Virginia, After losing 3 projects from having a so-so website and online reviews I realized it was time to get my online presence in order. I reached out to Old City Interactive to help update my website, help with online reviews, and to create a SEO strategy for my company. My new site was launched 6 months ago, and we’ve seen a huge uptick in leads. I can’t believe I haven’t invested in online marketing years ago. We are now branching into other local area (Springfield, and Fairfax)! I would strongly suggest their team with anyone company looking to increase their online presence.

Sarah McNally: I attended one of the letterpress classes Old City Press offers, and I loved it. It was the perfect amount of background on the history of letterpress, with the focus on actually making some letterpress creations. The guys are really friendly and I had an awesome time creating, with the bonus of just hanging out with some cool guys. I'd definitely recommend the class! I'd also recommend just checking out what Old City Press offers as far as product goes, they had a ton of stuff around the shop that looked amazing. 5 stars! :)

Joey Ijjas: A friend put us on to OLD CITY PRESS & Co. in Alexandria. We popped into the store to check it out and we got to meet Pete & Amanda, the husband and wife team behind this awesome shop. We hadn't even thought of it before but we were immediately intrigued about using letterpress to create invitations for our upcoming wedding. Pete answered all our questions about the process. He has a very in depth knowledge of the presses, the pluses and negatives of each, along with a bit of history each one has as well. We have a bit of design background and we decided to design our own invitations. OCP does have in house design, and they have some great examples to get your creative juices going. Combine that with a healthy dose of the internet and we had some rough ideas for our invitations. Pete gave us some great feedback and help along the way about laying things out to maximize the letterpress effects as well as making the actual production efficient. After a few edits and our own design revisions, we were ready to go. We headed to Old City Press on a Saturday to get our hands dirty. Pete, Amanda, and couple of their talented assistants showed us the ropes and explained the whole process as we printed our invitations. They will print everything for you if you want but we wanted to see the process through from start to end. Needless to say, we were extremely happy with final result. It’s so much more fun when you can put your own personality into the design and production of such an important day in your life. The comments on how your invitations are ‘just you’ don’t hurt either. There’s nothing better than a shop that’s dedicated to perfecting its craft!

Christine Garvey: We look at Old City Interactive and WPFX as a partner, not a vendor. Their knowledge, and passion for online marketing is contagious! My old marketing company did some pretty shady marketing tactics, and at one point we considered changing our website and company name since Google penalized our site. What a stressful time! However, our internet marketer (Walter) was able to reverse the penalty through hard work, and persistence. We are ranking again for the same terms as we were prior to the penalty! Yeah! Thank you Old City and WebpageFX! You truly are rock stars!

I gave Pete a rough draft of what I wanted, and he was able to recreate my exact vision in record time and in amazing quality: 2 color, stunning letterpress invitations.
