Golfdom: what do users think?

Randy Mattson: Outstanding experience at Golfdom. Russell Murphy took care of our every need--amazing customer service with years of experience and expertise! Russell fitted us with two sets of clubs that were perfect for our needs. We are return customers to Golfdom & will continue to patronize them because of people like Russell who really get it!

Fred: I would like to acknowledge my great experience I had with John at Golfdom on yesterday for my club fitting session. His professionalism and knowledge of club fitting was beyond my expectations. The clubs I wanted to be fitted for was not the club for me based on the parameters Trackman provided for my game improvement. After my session with John, I was very pleased with the decision I made and there was no pressure on my decision. I highly recommend John for fitting at Golfdom. Fred
Response: Thank you for the kind words, Fred! Glad you had a great experience and we couldn't be happier with John and the rest of our team as well! Let us know if you need anything as we're always here to help with your game!

Jason Foster: I had the best experience with John Pak. He didn’t sell me on anything. He advised me to get my clubs, and let’s get on the simulator and we’ll get fit you for the right clubs based off your swing. He took his time, had patience, did his due diligence, and was precise with my club selection. He looked at the numbers and was able to pinpoint the right clubs for me. Fantastic guy and cares about his customers.
Response: Jason, Glad you had an awesome experience with John! Our Master Fitters love nothing more than getting you into what's right for YOU. We appreciate the kind words and please feel free to let John or us know when you need anything. We will make sure you're taken care of and will see you soon!

Matthew McGarry: I am getting back into golf, and Russel was a tremendous help! I told him my budget, and he only showed me clubs that were in my price range. After some time in the simulator trying out different clubs, he fit me to the perfect set. I would recommend this store to anyone simply because of Russel!
Response: Thanks for the feedback, Matthew! We're glad to hear that Russell took great care of you and let us know what we can do for you in the future to help your game!

Ryan Madden: My wife bought me a new driver from Golfdom for my birthday. When I took it in to get fitted, their guy spent almost an hour with me making sure everything was tailored to my swing. Not only that, it was the best golf lesson I ever had - added 30 yards to my drive on trackman just by changing a few things in my swing. I never go anywhere else - Their service is the absolute best.
Response: Thanks, Ryan, and glad you had a great experience! Thank you for your continued support and we couldn't be happier to see your game improve!

JR Lazo: Got into golf 6 months ago and went to the store ready to buy a new driver. Met with Jeremy W. for a fitting. After talking about my experience, taking a couple of swing, and letting him know what I was looking for, rather than upselling me to buy a new driver he recommended I buy used and get used to modern drivers(previously had driver that was >20 years old). Once I'm ready to upgrade to a newer driver I will definitely go back to Jeremy!

Will Buckingham: Had a great fitting experience with the simulator and John Pak. The data doesn't lie and John knew my swing type and evolution in minutes. He was able measure me (hand & height) then test mult. brands, heads, shafts, grips, and angles to find me the right club without focusing on brand or price - exactly what you want from such an experience. The tips on my stance and swing were helpful and I can't wait to unleash my new irons this spring!
Response: Thanks for coming in, Will! We may be biased, but we love our Master Fitters too! Glad you're excited about the coming season and let us know if you need anything else. We're always here for ya and play well!

JOHN Murphy: To begin with, I am not a person who posts reviews very often. Mostly because I have a minimum standard that is normally met but rarely exceeded. That is especially true when dealing with the “invisible” web-based representatives of customer service. Yet in the case of Golfdom, I discovered a Customer Service team (shout out to Bill Price!) that were exceptional communicators, working to make each step in the process as real as if you were in the store dealing face-to-face with staff - a rare feat in today’s online marketplace. My story in a familiar one, I’m a developing golfer seeking to improve my game. My short game regularly made my foursome giggle and the #1 culprit in my high scores. I sought out an updated sand wedge and lob wedge, specifically TaylorMade Sim2 Max. I searched the “other sites”, those that anyone reading has been too. I could not find these clubs or if I did they were in poor used condition and always overpriced. That is until I discovered Golfdom. Gofldom offered the “unfindable” clubs, in new condition and at a reasonable price! But that is only half the story. I am taking the time to write this review because of Bill Price and his team in the online customer service organization. This is Golfdom’s secret superpower – this team cares! In my experience I found that Bill and the Customer Service team treat each order with individual focus. They communicate timely and effectively (email is best, but they do offer a number if you want to leave a message). Bill is the gold standard for what customer facing representatives strive to be and what makes Golfdom exceptional. If you need clubs at a reasonable price, you’re in the right place. If you want to be viewed as a customer instead of a number, look no further - Golfdom is the only store to go to for your golfing needs! AAAAA+++++
Response: John, Thank you so much for your kind words and we appreciate you going out of your "comfort zone" and posting this review in great detail. We do our best to make sure each and every customer has the experience to write something as nice as this. While we know each interaction with customers may have different end results for various reasons, everyone on our team will always make sure we do everything we can to make you, the customer, happy so you can count on us for your future needs. Thank you again and please let us know what we can do to help your game! Keep us posted on your results this season and good luck!

Chris Callen: Don't waste your time with this place. Sales staff is pushy and they love to loiter near the register to bring your purchase to the front in order to get credit for the sale, even when they've done nothing to help you. If you say you're just browsing, good luck finding help again. Be very diligent if you sign-up for their rewards program. I've purchased a few things there and was told I was setup in their system, only to find out they had no record of me when I went to purchase a club. I put it back and walked out. Gave them a second chance when looking for a fairway wood, told me I couldn't take a few cuts in their EMPTY sim to get a look at distances unless I was signed up for a fitting. Again...put it back and walked out. It's a pity because of its location and selection. Good riddance.

Sarah L: 3 days to get a club head pulled? This should only take about 5 minutes. Bought a new driver and a range finder here, but will no longer be giving them my business.
Response: Sarah, We apologize our current repair turnaround left you unsatisfied. These quotes are based off of amount of work presently in queue as well as staff scheduling. Walk-in work is completed on the spot when/if possible and we strive to complete quoted work orders earlier than quote times whenever we’re capable. We appreciate your feedback and hope to better accommodate your service turnaround needs in the future.

Golf Galaxy: what do users think?

Jim Gaskill: The new Golf Galaxy store at Fair Oaks Mall is AMAZING! HUGE store with TONS of equipment. Plus, they have 8 hitting bays all with Trackman. Yes, 8! What's more, you can rent a bay for $49 for an hour and use the Trackman, all by yourself if you want, or you can share it with a friend. The guys at GG set you up, show you how to use the Trackman and let you go! No one is hovering over your shoulder unless you want help. Hit as many balls as you like, compare different club's stats on the Trackman, or just practice your swing. It's a great deal and it's very helpful, especially in the winter. They also have fitting classes from putter to driver. Very impressed with the new Golf Galaxy!

Dylan M. Chhay: Geoffrey was super helpful in setting me up with a driver. He gave me a ton of different options and was patient while I tested them out in the simulator. Nate also came by and helped correct my horrible technique. Both of them were a great help and I am satisfied with the driver I walked out with

Maggie Souza: This is a very nice golf Galaxy w/ multiple fitting bays and plenty of helpful staff. Huge club selection and tons of accessories.

M T: Amazing selection, fair prices, and a nice place. However, the staff are simply insufferable. It is almost as if they went out into the greater Fairfax area looking for the least competent, least personable people that they could find. I would pay money not to have interact with the staff that they have working at this place. I ended up leaving and getting what I wanted elsewhere b/c the staff was so bad.

Cody L: Large selection of clubs (even left handed) which was nice. However, apparently if you aren’t paying for a fitting (I was just there to try out a few 3 woods), you get placed behind people who are. So wasted a solid 25-30 minutes waiting, only to be placed behind people who had their names written down after me in the practice bays, even though they called out my name. Basically when i said i just wanted to try a couple clubs (was going to buy one), I was basically not worth their time. Two stars only because this lefty appreciates the decent selection here.

Dr. Hannibal Hervey: I went in to buy a new driver and was fitted by Zach. It was such a great experience. He provided insight and helped me pick the best driver for my swing. If you need help picking out a driver or irons this is the place to go. Just wanted to say thank you.

Miller Romm: I met and did a fitting with Bill. He was unbelievable and did a great job helping me find my irons and my driver. It was very easy to work with him and he made buying clubs an easy decision

Jackson White: Good stock and selection. But very difficult unhelpful employees, Paul was more interested in playing around in the fitting bay than helping a customer!

Jeffrey Young: I went there to get a 200 yrd club. The staff was really nice. They helped me with everything and was always there if I had any more questions. I had no issues with my experience and would go there again for clubs.

Jeff P: They lost a customer who was ready to spend $500-1000 on irons. The person I was Working with only wanted me to hit the clubs 5 times and then left me right after my final swing to help another couple. Walked right out the door and will likely purchase something on line. Shame, as I was Ready to buy then and there.

Annandale Golf: what do users think?

Andrew McDonald: Whenever I'm in the area, I can't resist stopping in at Annandale Golf. They have a great selection. I've had my clubs re-gripped here and the customer service was just amazing! My elementary-age son asked for a putter and on a whim, I took him to Annandale golf to see if they had anything that could fit him. Given that he's a lefty, I wasn't super hopeful but wanted to come here first before going online. Not only did they have a left handed putter, but they had a very affordable full set of us kids left handed clubs perfect for his size! I was blown away and snatched this up. The new lighter clubs have made the world of difference for my son and now he wants to go golfing every chance he can get. Thank you Annandale golf!

Asher Keam: I have been taking lessons from Jeff, the owner, since October 2019, and I am very satisfied with his teaching. To begin with, he is so passionate about the sport of golf and I am certain that he talk about it all day. What I especially like about his teaching is that he knows a tons of drills that address virtually all kinds of mistakes I make. He is also the master of the mental aspects of golf, which are rarely taught by other teaching professionals. I high recommend him to any players, regardless of their levels, wanting to improve their game.

William D Hughes III: I went to discuss iron shafts and maybe get my clubs reshafted. Hit 5 balls on the video analyzer and, not only saw several problems, he told me what was going on and that he wouldn't sell them to me before we solve the issues we both saw. I discovered that he, the owner, Jeff Lhee, was an old fellow hockey dad from 20 years ago and we shared a laugh. Well outfitted small store, I will be back!

Tyler Lawrence: Awesome golf store! Had a great time talking with the gentlemen about various golf equipment and shafts - they're clearly very knowledgeable and willing to help. The most impressive thing was they reshafted a driver and a wedge while I waited. I will definitely be back.

scr050: Small but mighty, this shop has so many gadgets, gizmos, and quality options it can be hard to know where to start. But the real secret is owner, Jeff Lhee. He’s an amazing teacher and never pushes a sale. Old school class and integrity are commonplace here.

Roy: I asked Annandale golf shop to install a jumbo grip on my Louisville Golf Earthwood putter a simple task . Here is where the story gets bad. When I went to pick it up the golf shop asked me if I noticed the head of the putter was lose. I said no (I don't recall it ever being lose) and they proudly told me they had "fixed" it for me. How ever unfortunately in the process they cracked it right where the shaft goes into the head so they "fixed" that to, and out of pure kindness they would not charge me for the "repair". There "Repair" looks like a kindergarten student took some Elmer's glue to my beautiful wood putter head. I was absolutely furious as you can imagine. I obviously will never return to this shop but now I am stuck with a putter I am afraid to use. I am trying to see if I can send it back to Louisville Golf to get repaired correctly. I never asked them to touch the putter head and they never called to even ask if I wanted it fixed.

Margot Anderson: We had a disappointing experience with Annandale Golf. I took my husband here for a fitting for new irons. We didn't realize going into it that Jeff's only a Mizuno fitter (since Mizuno paid for his fitting equipment). But that was only a minor issue. More frustrating was that Jeff seemed to be over-reliant on the technology to determine the "fit" of clubs and failed to consider a golfer's personal preferences for the "feel" of the clubs. Thus, while my husband got clubs that were technically good for him, he hated playing with them because they felt so different from the clubs he'd been playing with for over two decades. (He even ended up with a bad case of golfer's elbow from them.) We tried to return the clubs, but were offered less than half of what we paid for them. We ended up selling them on craigslist for a good price. My husband was subsequently fitted for a set of irons at a golf course pro shop by someone who tried to find both the right "fit" and "feel" of the irons (across a variety of brands).

Rakan Shoorbajee: I first discovered this place on google and saw that it had a indoor driving range and so I went and tried it out. My experience with the store was phenomenal I had started taking lessons with the store and I don't regret it one bit my trainer Jeff Lhee is amazing he truly knows the fundamentals of golf. Love this place and will always go there.

Anson Byun: The management and ownership here are older Korean gentlemen who really know their stuff when it comes to both the technical and intangible aspects of the golfing sport. While they will gladly speak to you in their native Korean language if you are bilingual, they are equally as proficient in English and are just as comfortable providing fantastic tips and advice to a Korean, Korean-American, or non-Korean customer. Their wares are top-notch, and the frank and honest opinions of the gentlemen who run this business are both welcomed and, after much trial and error, always turn out to be highly accurate. I will be loyally returning to this small business to expand on my golfing hobby. I can hardly believe that any negative reviews of this establishment even exist.

Fox pest pro: I wanted to have my driver shortened. Jeff spent an hour with me on my golf swing and spoke in simple to understand terms. He did not charge me and actually refused a payment. I have not experienced this type of customer service in years! I have bought several different items there. The prices are great and they can usually find what you ate looking for at a discounted price. I drive from reston and will always give them the first chance to earn my business on any golf purchase.

The Golf Doctor - DC: what do users think?

Tom G: I had never been fitted for a putter, so I was a little unsure of what to expect, but to say the experience was great would be an understatement. Matt is extremely knowledgeable and has a ton of equipment to make sure you walk away with the best putter possible. At no point did I feel Matt was trying to push me in a certain direction, he truly wanted to find the putter that was best for me based on my feedback and feels. I could not recommend this experience enough and well worth the money and then some. Matt customized everything from the putter head, the weights, shaft, and grips all to my specific tastes. I never knew a putter could feel so good in my hands until I went to see Matt. I will be coming back to the Golf Doctor for all my fittings in the future!

Justin Lewis: Extremely knowledgeable and professional. Matt has a very solid process driven approach to fitting that is assisted by a fantastic Trackman simulator. Truly had no real appreciation of the difference a professionally fitted club makes. HIGHLY recommend to anyone who is thinking about upgrading their bag.

Chris K: Went in on 1/2/21 for an intro session and fitting. Good instructor and pointers. Matt told me would need a few days to fit and size my clubs. I've reached out to Matt a few times, as of 2/12/21, no response. I also stopped by in late January to drop off some driver grips. Matt has not provided me a response on when clubs will be fitted or ready for pickup. Very disappointed on the fitting piece. Hopefully my clubs have not been lost and mixed up with all the other equipment in his shop.

Dave Barash: I had a putter fitting with Matt, and I'm very happy with my new putter. Matt uses technology for some measurements, and also has a keen eye in watching me putt, and recommended the types of putters that would work best. I tried them out and determined which had the look and feel that I was most comfortable with. There's no high pressure sales, and he gave some great tips on how I could improve my putting stroke. I highly recommend him, and hope to get fitted for other clubs soon.
Response: It's great to see how satisfied you are with your fitting, Dave. I know playing with improper equipment can leave valuable strokes out on the course. That's why I'm always happy to help folks make sure they're giving themselves the best chance they can to score. Here's to fewer putts. If you ever need anything in the future, give me a call. -Matt G. Business Owner

Douglas Babb: Having the opportunity to go through a fitting had been long overdue and Matt made the session well worth the investment! This was an incredible experience and I highly recommend booking a session with the "the Golf Doctor DC" As I look forward to taking the adjustments to the clubs out onto the Golf course as soon as possible! I am eagerly looking forward to the next session!

Jimmy Nurre: I was struggling with driver consistency and found Golf Doctor DC during a quick google search and decided to go for a formal driver fitting. I was was able to setup an appointment online and received a confirmation email with instructions for my appointment, super convenient! During the appointment, Matt used both TrackMan data as well as my verbal feedback to try different driver head and shaft combinations. After hitting multiple shots with numerous combinations, we finally found the combination that worked best for me and my swing. It turns out that I just needed a new shaft and when I asked Matt if I would see any benefit from a new head, he didn't try to sell me a new one and said my current head would be just fine for another couple years. I am very happy with my new shaft and the service that I received from Matt. I can't recommend him enough and I will certainly be back for future club fitting needs!
Response: Thanks for the stars, Jimmy -- I'm glad your driver feels right! We're always happy to help you find the driver that fits best, so please don't hesitate to get in touch if there's anything else we can do for you. -Matt G. Business Owner

Chris Florio: I couldn't be more pleased with my recent putter fitting. Matt is very thorough, very knowledgeable, and very clear in all of his explanations. I was also impressed that Matt's approach to fitting is as much art as science. Using the latest technology, he determined that my putter doesn't fit the ideal specifications for me. After I tried a bunch of other putters, however, we found that I actually made more putts with my current putter after Matt adjusted its loft and lie. I'm grateful to Matt for his honesty -- he didn't try to sell me on a new club that wasn't producing better results -- and for lending me his expertise. The Golf Doctor receives my enthusiastic recommendation.
Response: Thanks for taking the time to write this, Chris. It's a pleasure getting to do what I love most every day and that it's helping others enjoy the game even more. As always, please don't hesitate to get in touch if there's anything that we can do to change up your game. Thanks again -- hope you're doing well. -Matt G. Business Owner

Austin Choi: My name is Austin Choi and I went to Part 1 of full bag fitting yesterday September 8, 2018. I want to start by saying that I am a real customer and this a real review. I am getting back into golf after having stopped playing for several years now. I decided to try a fitting with The Golf Doctor after reading great reviews and I can say with 110% conviction that any glowing review of Matt is understating his excellence and service. Super knowledgeable, customer-oriented, and accommodating. We did irons, wedges, and putting yesterday and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. His studio is very professional yet feels like you're golfing at your buddy's home. He will work with you and your swing and you can be confident that you'll be getting more than your money's worth with your fitting. Highly recommend and I'll personally take responsibility if you have anything less than 100% positive experience. I will be a return customer for the rest of my life living here in DC.
Response: I appreciate your support and kind words, Austin. It means so much to me that you would take the time to write about your experience getting fitted here. I've loved getting to work with you and figuring out what works best for you and your game. Keep in touch, and let me know if there's anything else you need from the Golf Doctor. -Matt G. Business Owner

Chris Morski: Highly, highly recommended. I had a driver and fairway wood fit by Matt. He's got top of the line measuring equipment (Trackman 4 etc.) and is extremely knowledgeable about club-fitting. I almost feel like a paid shill when I say that I am hitting my driver 15 yards further after being properly fit by Matt, but it is true.
Response: It's great you've been able to capitalize on the benefits of a proper fitting, Chris. Thanks for coming in to get your equipment serviced. If there's ever anything else you need, just give us a call. Keep playing and keep grinding. -Matt G. ,Business Owner

Brandon Grimes: My type of golf shop! I was sad to find out there was no where around to do any solid ball fittings. I searched around town and found Matt! I saw that he offers a service to come in and hit/utilize his trackman for an hour. This was perfect. Literally came in with my own golf clubs & balls to test spin #s and chat a little bit with Matt on recommended spin, AoD , etc. He didn't have to do this at all! Came back about a week later with my preferred ball to get my distance #s for all the clubs. He was very friendly; I will definitely be coming back!
Response: I'm glad I could help you get the data for your game you were looking for, Brandon. When you're looking for ways to drop your scores, every advantage matters, right down to the ball in your bag. Glad to hear you plan on coming back. If there's ever anything I can do for you, don't hesitate to reach out. -Matt G. Business Owner

DICK'S Sporting Goods: what do users think?

Aaron Contic: Came into this location to purchase a set of irons, found a set of Taylormade M2 irons that I initially thought were correctly priced at $499. I asked the team member working in the golf department that I was interested and ask where the rest of the set was. He replied that the rest of the set was missing. I asked what was the current price with 3 clubs of the 7 iron set missing? His response was “that’s the price, my manger won’t change it for some reason, but you can ask him” So I asked to speak to the manger which He initially said was available. I was then told that the manager currently on duty was conveniently on a conference call and was now unavailable and the answer was “NO” on a new price for the remaining clubs. To start the team member was friendly and helpful. That being said. I’m also a manager in retail and if a customer asked to talk to a manager about a reasonable question. Im not going to have my employee have to tell the customer “NO” That’s terrible customer service and it’s also a bad business practice to try to sell customers a product that’s missing pieces for the same price as if it’s not!

Misael Reyes: Staff was very helpful soon as I walked through the door security asked what I needed and I got it in less than 20 minutes I was out the door with my daughter's rollerblade slash roller skates

Maritza Cooper: Always a pleasure to visit this location. The store is always clean and organized. You usually get greeted as you walk in the door. The associates are always helpful and pretty knowledgeable. They will go out of their way to help! Well stocked too! Bought a fitness trampoline to keep a 7 yr old from going stir crazy in an apartment during these NO School days! Hope it works! It was Waaay up high. Had 3 different associates make sure I got what needed. All while helping other customers.

Ara Koh: Ok location compared to other ones. Nicely organized but their shoes selection is not so great.

The Next King: Shallun was amazing!!!! Great help. First time coming to Dick’s Sporting Goods and I was impressed I will be back thank you.

david fegan: good experience shopping here today. multiple staff members were helpful.

L. P. Rock: Went there to purchase a bicycle. Not 1 store employee had any more knowledge of bikes than I did. Me: What size frame does this bike have? Dick's rep: That's a good question, I have no idea sir.Virginia here I come.

Angie Owens: oh my goodness I was on the phone with my cousin, while she was shopping for football cleats for her son. When I tell you that the amount of "OUTSTANDING" customer service that the professional young lady "Ryan" gave to her while she was shopping was absolutely amazing!! I had to tell my cousin through the phone to please tell Ms. Ryan that the level of coatomer service she gave was "THE BEST" that I have seen in a very long time. Ryan if your reading this please keep up the good work!! I am extremely proud of you young lady.

Liliana Gonzalez: Zach did a great job helping me find the the gym equipment I needed. He even helped me load these items into my car after I doubted if the gym equiptment I bough would fit. Thank you so much to him and Horse for the exellent service!

Bella Adoni: Varieties of sports goods. Place was clean and staffs very attentive. They acknowledged us at the time of entry. I and my friend were the only customers in the store. I could have given the store five stars if the price for most of the items were reasonable.

East Potomac Golf Links: what do users think?

Rachel B.: We participated on Special Golf Events - 2022 Limb Loss and Limb Awareness Month - Amputee Coalition. April 1-30 from Hanger Clinic. The activities were great, the lunch is delicious - I choose Chicken Pulled Sliders plus Coke.

Colin McCann: This course is in horrible condition. Score card does not have course layout on it and looked like it was printed from a home inkjet printer. half of the signs that tell you which hole you are on are missing. Greens were atrocious and had holes all over them. Pull carts had no straps. Overall just very disappointing.

Isaac Holt: Very nice course and staff. The driving range is one of the best I have been to and the some of the putting greens are right next to them. Additionally there are three practice holes near the pro shop which can be very nice with the ball rental that comes with them (something like 50 balls to use for the hole). The courses all offer different but equally fun golfing experiences for all skill levels. The only reason I put 4 and not 5 stars is because a few of the holes are in deteriorating condition, but they’re still completely playable.

Derek Wilde: This course has so much potential! Awesome driving range and an unbeatable location. Staff is friendly enough. I wanted to love this course. Unfortunately, there are a lot of issues: - poorly kept. Greens are over grown, bumpy and small. - Tee boxes are hard to distinguish from the normal grass and you only have whites or reds to choose from. - Website is confusing and needs updating - very strict rules with an unnecessary "starter" person. Just get rid of that barn and call people to the tee from the pro shop. No spectators.. seriously? It's literally a public park with 10 dollar green fees - too many holes that all look the same. Very crowded. Every green is right next to a tee box. It would be great to see a change in layout to make it more interesting - Mosquitos I understand it's public and on an island.. but for serious golfers this should not be your first choice. Probably better for families EDIT: I played the blue course and it was in much better shape. I really enjoyed it. Play the blue if you can. Also, the course is under new management so I'm extremely excited to see the changes!

Jamison Williams: The course is not in great condition but the views are awesome. The driving range is basic but has what you need. Mostly this is a five star review because their Academy is awesome. Great instructors who really enjoy the game.

Ron “WhatThe” Heck: I've been playing in a league here for years and the Blue Course is in the best shape its ever been. This course has something to offer all levels of golfers. Most fairways are wide open and errant shots that aren't out of bounds can easily be played back from adjoining fairways. Double decker driving range and miniature golf provide options for the whole family.

Unshin Lee Harpley: Par 3 course is in bad shape most of the time, par 4 is a bit better but overall quite average for a public course. Range mats could use an upgrade as well. Inexpensive, friendly & helpful staff, convenient location with a nice view of the monument but you get what you pay for.

James Walker: Located in East Potomac Park. The property has public parking, skills training, a mini golf course, cafe, and public restrooms, as well as golf hobby shop on site.

Ellis Jackson: Can't wait 2 have my next birthday party here!

david chen: The most scenic golf course drive ever visited make sure to stop by before either 18 holes for practice your driving skills

2nd Swing Golf: what do users think?

Safiya Parker: A family friend gave me some old clubs they never used so I initially came to see if there was any trade in value. Once we walked in I wanted to browse their women's collection. Adam helped us that day. Although their women's collection is small there were some good options. Had a chance to test them in the simulation. I did end up purchasing based on the 30 day guarantee but afterward knew this club would be a game changer. I have an upcoming tournament that I'll be using my new driver on so I'm real excited.

Fraz Nino Pasquil: Just got full bag fitting for used clubs last week by David Ko. He was very patient and informative on our fitting. Their facility was world class. All the staff were courteous. Will definitely go back. Highly recommend place 👌

Alan Shinkar: I have been a customer at second swing for the last two years and they seriously have some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. Several months ago I was fit for a set of irons that I really enjoyed. Unfortunately, the ferrules kept coming unattached. The amazing people at second swing tried two separate times to try to fix the issue, free of charge, but it persisted. They eventually told me that they would happily swap out those irons with a new set that they would specially fit me for, even though the clubs were past the 1 month window. James did an excellent job with the new fitting and even gave me a discount on the new clubs to make sure they fit in my budget. Meg at the front desk was also a pleasure to work with. They really do whatever it takes to make sure the customer leaves happy with their purchase and I love it. They really earned my business and I can never see myself going elsewhere for golf equipment.
Response: We greatly appreciate your loyalty, Alan- thank you for choosing 2nd Swing!

Anthony Gray: I scheduled an appointment for a fitting with David Ko. He was awesome. I haven't been golfing in almost a decade and David was very patient and informative. I gave him my budget and he helped me find clubs that fit my budget and felt good to swing; even with my back and hip injuries. He also gave me a couple tips to make my swing easier with my injuries. I plan on recommending David to all of my friends. The facilities were also great, and I will definitely come here again.

Riley Deville: Came here for a fitting before the season started and wanted my own set of clubs instead of using my dads. David Ko was my fitter and did a phenomenal job. Not only did he analyze my swing and numbers but also provided tips/suggestions here and there to fix parts of my swing and to get the most out of the clubs. I gave him my budget and he selected clubs that were “best bang for your buck” which made me feel very comfortable. I would recommend David to all levels of players!
Response: Thank you, Riley!

MICHAEL WILLEY: Scheduled a driver fitting for the first time in my life. David Ko was very professional and informative about the fitting process. He was able to add club speed, ball speed, height to my swing and additional 30 yards to my carry and total distance. He definitely found the proper driver for me and was well under my budget. I would recommend him to anyone no matter what level of a golfer you are. I purchased his recommended driver and will schedule a fitting for a full bag in the future.
Response: Great to hear about your 5-star fitting with David, Michael- enjoy your new driver out on the course!

Carl Kohel: Went in for a fitting for a set of iron with David Ko. From the beginning the experience was great. David was awesome the while time through. This was my first experience being fitted for clubs and after talking with him and experiencing this I won't buy another without being fitted. The attention to detail was awesome. I ended up going with a set of Ping G410s. Once we narrowed it down to that club he even made some upright changes on the clubs to make them fit even better. Definitely recommend being fitted here and by David. Sent one of my good buddies to him already.
Response: We appreciate your recommendation, Carl!

Thomas Liu: Went in for a full bag Tour Van fitting w/ Kevin Kraft and could not recommend this experience enough. Kevin had fitted my irons years ago at a different facility. After going through other fitters for additional clubs, it became apparent that Kevin is an exceptional fitter. I sent two of my friends down to see him this past year and I'm glad I got the opportunity to do so for myself. The facility is really well stocked and the fitting studio in the back is a nice place to be while having your session. To add, the service response has been phenomenal. I had to make some additional inquiries and small adjustments to my order after leaving and it was taken care of immediately. I am totally satisfied and am excited for my follow-up to tweak and complete the new set in the spring.
Response: Thank you, Thomas- we look forward to helping you get dialed in this spring!

Jennifer Greenwood: I cannot say enough wonderful things about David at 2nd Swing in Columbia who evaluated my son for new clubs. He would watch his swing with his own clubs, then try a new club, tweak this and that, try again, repeat. In less than an hour, David straightened and improved my son’s drive by over 50 yards! He was VERY knowledgeable. He was also practical. We bought the driver, but will be going back this spring for the rest of the clubs because David recommended we wait. I really appreciate the honesty, expertise, and advice. Top notch. We’ll be customers for life.

George Metallinos: I had a fitting with David Ko on last Friday. He did an amazing job finding me the right clubs for my particular type of swing. He even showed me a few pointers and helped my swing out tremendously! My experience was spectacular and will now be a guaranteed customer for life. I had to travel an hour to get to the location but with the service David and the rest of the staff provided me, it was definitely worth the trip. I will be a returning customer in the future knowing I will receive such great service.

Golf Care Center Inc: what do users think?

Ray Wilbur: Well, time to echo what everyone else has said about this fine establishment. Very simply, Wade cares about making you a better golfer. Not only did he take meticulous measurements for my new clubs, he gave me one swing tip which helped immensely. I can't wait to come back.

Martin Rojas: Shops like these, where professionalism and customer satisfaction are tops, are becoming extinct. In Bethesda, Golf Care Center specializes on golf, period. Love this place!

Michael Harvey: Great conversation with Jack up front, and a great fitting with Wade. I've been deeply involved with golf for 45 years and I learned a lot. In aspirin, I'm confident that the new clubs are going to help me play better. I'll update when I've had a chance to play them!

ira L. Hobbs: Wade, played today after our fitting session. I came to you for clubs, but the swing tip advice was priceless. The insight regarding “lefties” and the tilt was 100% correct. Shot 84 with 80% consistency on first swings. Felt more powerful on my swings and through contact..cannot wait to get my new sticks!

jeff isakson: Great place for a quick repair. Jack reinstalled the head of my 7 iron after it flew off. It was my first time there but looks like a great option for my next club fitting

D L: Great little repair/fitting shop. I had some irons bent to 2 flat here and they were able to turn them around in a day. I also had them spine align some clubs, get the swing weights right, and re-grip them. They did great jobs with those clubs too and even made some adjustments later on with the lead tape they added. Two man operation. One is a highly respected fitter who has been around for a while. Other other is a quick talking, jovial guy. Latter can come off as a little gruff but just talk to him and you'll see he knows his stuff. This place is a little bit pricey but do great work. I had him shorten and re-grip a putter a decade ago and have been back several times since. Apparently they do a good job fitting people here, but I haven't had the chance to use them. Overall a great experience. Support your local businesses!

ALI GHARIB: The most amazing Golf experience ever. Amazing staff. Second fitting in a year 1. Irons 2. Woods and driver. The fitting is so personal. The results are what all of us are after. Don’t hesitate if you are looking for clubs at any skill level this is the place.

Ed Muldoon: Worth every penny. Jack and Wade are consummate professionals and an absolute joy to work with at this Bethesda location. Wade has an incredible depth of experience, and can teach you a lot about the golf swing, the clubs, and how they come together. If I could give them 10 stars I would...incredible experience.

Todd Berman: For anyone to award less than 5 stars to this venerable institution is beyond me. Wade and Jack are the Batman and Robin of the golf world. Fitting, advising, strengthening your game is all they do. Go see GCC and you’ll be thrilled you did. For someone to kvetch about their lie angle recommendation is silly. These guys know well what they are doing!

Rob A: My instructor (Kirk Lucas) recommended I see Wade over 4 years ago, at that point I needed a complete new bag minus the putter. The fitting took 4 hours, it was akin to a religous experience. Two years ago Wade fitted me for a Scotty, again a fabulous experience. That was a two hour fitting and worth every penny. Last week Wade fitted me for a new driver. WOW, after all was said and done, I gained a 20 yard carry over my old driver that he put me into 4 years ago. He keeps every fitting record and measurement that he does, he actually pulled out my folder last week and compared swing speeds. Jack is his counterpart and club maker. When I went back to them with the hybrid Wade put me into and told Jack it was drawing to much, he bent it....no other club maker in the world will do that, but Jack did and it was worth. They don't do e-mail, give them a call.

Washington Golf & Country Club: what do users think?

Hannah Bjorndal: This review is specifically for engaged couples considering having a wedding a WGCC. Our wedding photography team (LVERphoto.com) absolutely LOVES photographing weddings at this beautiful venue! WGCC is close enough to DC and many surrounding areas that you can have your choice of ceremony and portrait locations - on or off site. The back patio/deck and golf course are very picturesque, and the staff is incredibly helpful and kind. The ballroom is more traditional, but definitely not stuffy or dark. It is light, bright and very elegant! Food and presentation is top notch. We highly recommend this location for your wedding ceremony and reception!

John Whyman: One of the nicest places to visit on a sunny afternoon. Located in Arlington,VA with a great view, great food and great friends. If you ever get a chance to visit, please do.

James Callan: Excellent venue for a reception with great service.

Jayson Wingfield: Great Golf, Tennis, Views & History at North Arlington's premier Country Club.

Terry Gaitan: Beautiful outdoor space that overlooks the golf course!

Mikhail Lopez: This was my second time at this venue. Both times were for holiday parties. The space was great for a group of 75-100 people. It would be a bit tight for larger groups based on the space we were in. The reason I took off one point was the food was not good. The chicken was very dry and the salmon wasn’t much better. The appetizer of mushroom ravioli was excellent though.

Bruce Hamilton: Attended a wedding and had a great time.

Evan Scannapieco: I asked if I could host a star party for a girl scout troop on Rock Spring parking lot of this club. It is well placed for looking at the planets. They said no way would they allow dozen little girls to looking at stars for an hour on their private property. Apparently giving back to the community is not these folk's thing.

Mary Petrino: From curbside to kitchen, all staff of this Country Club are very friendly and hospitable. When staff treats non-members with same respect as members, it's the sign of great service. Traditional decor in the facilities are clean and comfortable.

John: Beautiful facility for parties.

REI Co-op: what do users think?

Michael Brown: As a company, REI should not inflict their political beliefs onto customers. That said, they carry good gear and this particular location is fantastic. Every time I have come here they have exactly what I need. The staff are friendly and helpful and generally knowledgeable. I don’t know who makes REI branded clothes and gear, but they do a good job.

Mike R: I like this store for so many reasons. First: they have excellent customer service. Today I walked in with my bike to get my flat tire fixed. A woman approached me and signed me in. Then a man walked up to me and asked if I would like to him to park my bike. I was appalled by this gesture. Second: This establishment has everything here. I mean like… leave that bike area if you want to. You will be buying anything from energy gel to underwear. Third: conveniently located right beside the metro.

Anne Probst: Thank you Jeremy in cycling for taking care of my bike I commute on. Haley assisted and was down to earth and happy. High five to Micah in footwear who helped me find a size in a scarpa I haven’t been able to find in stores in 4 years. He’s super knowledgeable and was connecting with all the customers. Thank you REI DC!

Patrick F.: The 2 stars is not for the products, it's for the lack of service. Lord forbid you need some help. I waited forever even after pushing this button (photo) and a guy that was helping someone else acknowledged they heard me and would be coming. Still waiting as I type this. FYI, I have purched thousands from this store....sigh!!

Louisa Buatti: I visited REI for the first time since the pandemic began. My pick up of an online order went very smoothly. Every staff person I encountered was friendly and helpful--they all offered to direct me to the customer service/pick up area. I was in and out of the store in a flash.

Andrea Wu: I came here to pick up my shoes that I ordered online, and after trying them out in nature, they were too big so I came back to return and get new ones. The staff helping me was very helpful, bringing me different shoes for me to try on. I finally got a pair that fit properly, and checkout was pretty speedy too. Parking on the street might be a bit tough, but it's not too bad!

H Gill: Great store! love REI… but checking out here is always a 15 min wait. The checkout line moves at a snail’s pace, and the managers/supervisors don’t seem to care. I’ve seen customers put items down and leave out of frustration.

Rebecca Tolbert: Generally a good store, but the parking situation is currently very weird. You park in the parking deck and then have to walk all the way around a whole city block because they have blocked off the elevator and stairs. So, you drive into the parking deck and then have this surprise journey ahead of you, through a sketchy alley and everything. Just wanted to give other customers a heads up!

Ben Layton: Bike shop effectively closes at 6:30, not 7:00, since you have to get on a wait-list to get the bike checked in and the wait-list closes at 6:30. Called in advance and told them when I'd get there and they didn't mention that, so came all the way here for nothing. Turnaround on basic repairs also 9-10 days rn, which is honestly nuts.

R: Oddly enough they aren’t dog friendly yet I saw a pitbull walking around without a service vest. The area around is horrendous, good luck finding a parking spot. Really disappointed that REIs aren’t dog friendly yet their competitors REI and Bass Pro is.

Trump National Golf Club Washington DC: what do users think?

Michael Cobb: Very challenging course. Greens very fast. Great views. Very comfortable golf carts

Bill Rizzo: Best course and establishment I've ever had the opportunity to play at or visit.

Paul M: We’ve been members since 2010 and the club gets better and better each year. The two golf courses are spectacular and beautifully maintained. The indoor tennis facility, whose opening ceremony was attended by Serena Williams, is easily one of the best on the East coast and that’s no exaggeration. The club house and restaurants are all amazing. With all that, the best part of the club has been getting to know the other members and staff through the years. We’ve made life long friends!

Max: I called to discuss the Junior and Social memberships to see which best fits my needs. The call was answered by a nice gentleman who connected me to the Director of Membership and Marketing, SARAH GILES. SARAH WAS AWFUL. I inquired about membership pricing and whether or not day passes are available for purchase. She seemed annoyed and questioned what I want to use the club for. I said I'm interested in the social events and amenities. She then asked for my name and went on to say "Well, you sound like someone I spoke to yesterday who asked the same questions". It was the first time I called, so I was completely caught off guard by her attitude. I explained that I'm new to the area and I live near the golf course, but she made it clear that she didn't believe me. She kept saying "it's a private club" as if I'm not welcome there. The right thing to do is invite the person inquiring in for a tour, not attack them for asking valid questions. Furthermore, the questions about membership pricing and day passes are valid because the information isn't available online. Overall, you'd expect the Director of Memberships and Marketing to be more professional. I'm disappointed and offended.

Robert Fisher: Great venue ... the waterfall background on the 18th makes it the signature hole for me.

Cara McMahon: We just played on the incredible indoor tennis courts. The lighting is ideal, the courts we're beautiful and well maintained. The facilities are wonderful. Only complaint was that the courts we're a bit too warm.

Benjamin Chàgúzàghà: Handsdown the best tennis club in the area especially if you care about junior. Lets be honest, take it.from a pro! Seriously, I was surprised how low the non-member rates are, bring the whole family - its worth it.

Derrick Carpenter: Ok. Very beautiful place. Great views of the course and the Potomac, and also a great venue for a wedding.

TB12 DGOAT: Great golf course. Fast greens.

David Spiegel: I was only here for a meeting in the bar. It does not look like any other Trump property. No ornate gold, no pictures of Donald Trump and a very subdued sign, I almost drove by it. The staff in the bar was friendly and very professional, they knew enough not to bother us but kept a close eye to make sure that glasses were never empty.

Falls Road Golf Course: what do users think?

Muhammed Hussain: Friendly staff, course in great shape.Shorter but still challenging course with a beautiful design.

Spencer: Great course.. have spent most of my time on the range but it's definitely on the list of local courses I'm looking forward to golfing this summer! Large range ball is only 13$

Todd Berman: Pleasant enough. Nice staff. Range often crowded. Yardage markers are upgraded on the range for 2022. Often booked for walk ups, so reservations are a must. Good course for all levels of play. Well maintained course.
Response: Thank you for the rating and review. We will look into the yardage markers.

Vernon Brown II: Well maintained, fair and challenging. Quick greens and manicured fairways - - Falls Road is another great Montgomery County Course, fun to play and easy on the eyes.
Response: Thank you for the review. We are happy that you enjoyed the course.

John Suh: I have played on the weekdays and finished within 4 hours easily. On the weekends, somedays I finished in about 4 hours 20 minutes and sometimes even longer than that. People. it is a public course... if you expect perfect pace of play on weekends then go to Pebble Beach or TPC Sawgrass. The rangers are always friendly and apologize if pace of play is slow. I have not experienced negativity from Falls Road Golf Course nor any MCG Golf Course.

Ahmadski HaHa: Its always fun to come to this golf course and play 18 holes, but this time around I took in my 8yr young son with me for the 1st time. He was excited to try out his new clubs and join the golfers "club" 😁 The golf course is very well taken care of and the employees are very helpful and professional. No complaints!
Response: Thank you for the rating and review!

Jignesh M: My son takes golf lesson and absolutely loves it. He has been playing golf since he was 3. The golf course is decent but I have to say my experience with the ranger was annoying to say the least!! My son is pretty good and has been playing golf since 3. and we were paired with two other people. We were pretty good at pace and in fact we had to wait at the first three holes for the group ahead to finish!! The ranger kept coming to us and saying you are not slowing down but my son has to keep up with the rest of the group!! My group was fine and had no issues at all and we were doing good! I asked him “are we slowing anyone down’ he said no. I told him we are waiting anyways at every hole for the group ahead to finish and he said your son has to still pick up. It’s weird that groups ahead of us were a four some and were playing slow and we were waiting at every hole but they have an issue with my son who is enjoying his time, a good golfer, doesn’t slow down anyone but was picked three times in like 8 holes!! I definitely felt singled out and am not happy!!! If we are not slowing down and have to wait no matter what at every hole because the group ahead was taking longer and nothing was said I don’t know what is the issue here!! It was annoying to say the least and made my son nervous and just ruined the whole experience!! It was very discouraging especially for my son and he loves golf!!
Response: We are sorry to hear about your experience. The property manager will contact you directly.

Kenneth Treff: Reasonable prices and friendly staff.Even though it was rainy, I could tell they upkeep their greens and fairways well. Expect to lose a ball or two..... or five since the thick is impossible to get a ball out of even if you can find it.

larry spittler: First time playing here and was with a group playing hickory clubs. Would have been five stars except only mats available on range (which don't work with hickory shafts) and putting green was closed.

R N: Great course. Took several adult lessons with Jamie and I am extremely happy with the teaching methods and outcome. Very professional and knowledgeable. Highly recommend him as an instructor. The range is pretty busy in the weekends but can definitely find a spot. Wish they would have better packages for range balls. Overall great course and service.

DICK'S Sporting Goods: what do users think?

Wil Schurr: It was an OK experience we went looking for snow pants and there was such a slim selection. We ended up going elsewhere for jackets and snow pants but did get gloves and balaclavas. Would've figured mid January that there would be a bigger selection of snow wear. Update 4/23/22: Still just an OK experience lol. Google asked me to update the review. All sorts of summer things out. Bought 2 pairs of women's shorts and a men's tank top. $90 are you kidding! Literally the items with the least amount of fabric cost so much. That being said the manager was great at returning an item with a gift receipt that was giving the POS trouble. Thanks manager!

John Tadlock: Not bad overall but I went to the 2nd floor and finally got the attention of the guy at the registrar, once he finally took his earphones out, I asked where the volleyballs where and he said probably downstairs, as I was going back down I saw them out of the corner of my eye and found them, UPSTAIRS. Shouldn't be hard to know where things are, I wasn't asking a professional question, he should at the very least know where the department is. Take out the earphones and be at least slightly professional, have some kind of pride

Hairy Dweller: Me and my family have always gone here to get our gear for sports as long as I can remember. The employees are very kind and helpful. There’s nothing I can’t find there.

Margaret Gora: Scott, who assisted us during our visit, was very knowledgeable and very friendly. The store has an excellent merchandise selection thus you never leave it disappointed and the helpful staff will make always sure that all your needs have been met.

Felicia King: Not much of a variety, and when looking for soccer cleats there isn’t anyone around in the shoe department to assist. I even used the call button and scanned the shoe. And when I took my son’s bicycle in for repair, understandable that it was a busy season. It would likely take more than the 5 days they originally said. It took a whole month and not even fixed. Guaranteed the part wasn’t even ordered. Said they’d call me back, but I knew that was a lie. There’s no such thing as good customer service no more.

Marc Spears: The store is great. Lots of good products. I was there to buy fishing line and to have it spooled to my three reels. That said, it was a bad experience from there on. Young guy didn't do a good job.

Edson Castellanos: Great variety for all your sports needs. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable but at times hard to find. If your a fishing person their fishing selection is great also. Sneaker selection is great and at times they have shoes the big shoe stores don't. Clothes section is also big and well organized. Overall a great store.

Marwa: Worst customer service!!! I bought a Hoka Clifton 8 running shoes from the store as per their associate's recommendation. I asked about the return policy and was told that I can return the shoes within 30 days if it's lightly worn. I bought the shoes on Monday and wore it on Tuesday went for a light jog and got blisters on my feet. I went to the store to return the shoes and get another pair more fitting but they refused to take it and denied any policy of wearing the shoes outside the store. It felt like I fall into a trap ☹️

Lijun G: We used to have a big DSG store in fairfax but it was closed and moved to a smaller lot in the fair oaks mall with a small stock. So i went to the Dulles one. Even though it didn't seem they have a lot of staff around, but I was greeted and offered help quickly. I was assisted by Ralph, who took the trouble to identify the model and price tag of the kayak for me and then an another round for a discount with the store mgr since the kayak was apparently the last one, missing manual and was stained some black marks, and then another round to help me to carry the kayak to the check out and eventually to my car. He was so patient with me when I told him that I was not sure that my car would be large enough to carry the kayak inside, and I may need to return it if the kayak didn't fit in. While I was waiting at the check out, Ralph took the trouble to clean the stains on the kayak for me. I really appreciate his assistance patience and kindness. If it was not the professionalism and helpfulness of Ralph, I might not be able to purchase the kayak in the first place and carry it inside my car. All in all, a pretty good sporting goods store and great staff!

Stacie Hines: beautiful store! loved the batting cage

Marlton Golf Club: what do users think?

Gerard Wilson III: As of today, 3/1/21, the course remains closed indefinitely for “maintenance” and has not been opened for the past few years. Once a beautifully run golf course, the course was one of the amenities that encouraged my family’s decision to buy in this community. Today, it sits as an eyesore to Marlton residents and visitors of our beloved Upper Marlboro community. Hills of unmanned grass, trash and downed trees, the course is now a wasteland for marijuana smokers. Pictures are included. Really hope to get a clear answer on the future of this once beautiful course. Lately, it’s just been nothing but contradiction and inaction from its owner, Kevin Brewer.

rik ellis: It was a beautiful day. Was really looking forward to playing. You could tell at one time the course was beautiful. Nice layout. Very competitive. The biggest disappointment was that the people who live on the golf course don’t even have enough respect for the golfers to keep their music turned down. Last thing you want to hear is rap music while you’re trying to concentrate.

Cliff Glenn: This is not the same Marlton from years ago people. I played there yesterday and felt like I should have been paid just to play the course. Very bad course condition, no pro shop, no anything like balls, hats, ball markers like years ago when I played there last. I was in shock at the total lack of upkeep on the Entire golf course. Greens, burned out patchy, not mowed, majority of the fairways are just tufts of grass, full of dandelions and goose poop 😳 The positive I got from it was ... instead of hitting on the range for an hour and a half I was able to at least hit some shots, so the $16.00 was not wasted.🙁. I shot a 39/43

Terence Bailey: I am disappointed that I have to write this type of review but it is with the hope that this will motivate or inspire the staff there to do something about the persistent deterioration of what was and still could be a great place to play a round of golf. The greens are in HORRIBLE SHAPE and the fairways are littered with big clumps of old grass clippings that make it close to impossible to find your ball after hitting it. While on the parking lot waiting to get to the club house I overheard several players complaining about the condition of the course and they obviously weren't happy. I feel as if I just flushed $35 down the toilet........never again until this problem is fixed. I also noticed where the owners are thanking people who give a good review, however, what about the constructive criticism that you're receiving and it should be a lot. I love the slogan "we know you have a choice and we're glad you chose us" .....never again.

Bay Blake: Not only is this a golf course, but they have other events here for late night entertainment! My cousin invited me out for comedy night and I had a blast! Apparently, this is something that happens every Friday and it's only $10. I will definitely be coming back to enjoy myself again and the food here is soo good. I LOVED the fried shrimp.

F. Wheeler: So disappointing. They have to fix this course. I used to live on this course until 2013 and hadn't played there since - and it was in pretty good shape. I saw on the website it got new owners in 2015 and a new "vision" and there had been renovations and was excited to come back. What a let down. I really want to support this local course but they have to invest in getting this course playable again. They are doing themselves a disservice by charging people to place this course. Many of the folks I talked to in the parking lot couldn't/wouldn't play some of the holes in disrepair and said they wouldn't be back. Sad for me to see an hear, but I understand.

Diane Hoover: This course, while could be wonderful, is in horrible shape from tee box to green. I don't know how they can call dirt with weeds a fairway. Also, I notice another reviewer stated that signage is base that, and the course said this would be taken care of...this was back in February and they said they would improve that...well as of mid-July there are still no signs directing first timers around the course. Personally, I won't have to worry about this as I do Not plan on ever returning. For the price to play, I can go to m1any PG County courses that are in super condition. Marlton...you could have a great course..but it will take closing it down for a while and fixing everything...including sprinklers on the fairway mid-day..and a man watering the greens during the heat of the day...no wonder the course is in bad shape.

Brent Anderson: We went out on July 19th. I'm not sure I've played a course recently that has been less taken care of. There is graffiti on nearly every hole on the front 9. The rough is easier to play out of than the fairway or even the tee boxes. There isn't provided water on the course and we actually weren't able to buy anything at the turn either. We won't be coming back.

Ryan DeHeer: Worst golf experience I have had in probably 5 years. The condition of the course is horrendous. The rough was full of tall weeds and crab grass. the fairways were very spotty, and there were random holes with about 3-5 gallons of water in them. The water most have been in these holes for sometime because there was algae growing in all them. Needless to say, there were a ton of mosquitos. The bunkers were also terrible. About 10% of the bunkers were marked "Ground Under Repair", but the rest of the bunkers looked exactly the same and did not have signs in them. Doesn't make much sense. The greens had a TON of spots that had no grass, but a weird green mud (I will post pictures). This course is worth no more than $25 to play. I got a hot deal on GolfNow for $35, and I want a refund. I also had a bad experience with the service there. There was no organization for tee times. I booked a tee time, went to sign in, and the guy said I could go out earlier and that there was a large group behind me. So I go to the tee box and that large group was already in front me. The only good part of this course was the guy driving around. He was very nice.

Lion-O BraveHeart: DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME!!! This is the worst course I've seen in my life. Every Tee Box is horrible. The tee boxes are so bad, on a few holes, there is a driving range mat to hit off of...and they are in horrible shape as well. Cant tell the difference Between parts of the fairway and the rough except for the parts of the fairways on EVERY hole that are burnt out. Almost every bunker has grass and weeds growing in it. They must've waited over a month to cut the grass. Clumps of it everywhere. No need bothering blowing it off the cart paths either. The greens are shabby on most holes. It's like they don't even care. It a shame what they charge to play this course. #OVERPRICED!! They should PAY golfers to play here. Don't worry about yardage markers.... They don't exist or they are covered by the weeds, I mean grass. They could easily at the bare minimum grab 54 wooden stakes, divide them by 3 and paint them red, white, and blue to indicate yardage. I was totally guessing out there. Sadly, it has potential to be so good. It needs so much work. I agree with a previous reviewer that they should shut it down and do something to get this course in shape. It needs so much help! At best, this is a practice course....AT BEST!! Not even sure how they are still open. I would NEVER play here again! Don't do it. There are so many other courses to play. Don't play here!! I wish I could give this course 1/5 of a star. This course is disrespectful to the game of golf.

The Courses at Andrews: what do users think?

Garrett Beiningen: If less than 1 star was an option that would best suit this place. Course is horrible, seems like anything green in the vicinity is never maintained and/or staff doesn't know what they are doing. Way Over priced for what you experience.

Al Seeman: The fairways were well taken care of and the bunkers were hard from rain all week, but well maintained, no random debris or stones in the sand. The tee boxes needed some work, they were uneven and a little messy, but overall the course was in great shape!

Carl Bottolfson: Hardly even worth a single star. Rough is overgrown, fairways are full of winter kill and haven’t even been groomed yet this year (Apr 24), and the greens are like playing Plinko. By far the worst USAF course. Would expect a lot better since “Presidents play there.” Fix it or shut it down! Spend your money elsewhere.

JAM: Coming off the winter the course is in rough shape. Overall however the greens are pretty pitted making for a tough putting experience. Tom in the club house is great and helpful. Will check out in the summer/fall.

Edward Parsons: Great place to play a round of golf for active duty, reserve, and retired service members. Played the 39th Annual E9 Golf Tournament here and the staff was fantastic.

William Branch: Amazing and challenging course. Expertly managed. thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Braden Bradford: Arrive an hour early! Go to visitor's center for guest passes if not "on the list" or part of the military. But very cool that's is actually a public-ish course! Very high quality golf course for the price. Staff are VERY friendly.

Janice Chambers: Had breakfast at the clubhouse and it was delicious. Great food with super friendly staff.

Calvin Henderson: Course is coming along after the winter months. The greens are coming around after aeration but the bunkers work and more sand. I like the new course layout on the West course. The East is more challenging which I think will be great for tournaments

Nam Janes: The greens have been closed due to their failed attempts to maintain the course for the past 5 months. Since the start of the 2020 golf season the courses (3) have never been fully opened. It is sad because the courses have such great potential. It is hard to believe that President's once played here. Maybe the numerous 4-star generals who have reserved parking here could take an interest in getting their golf course up to even the minimal of playability. The course has been here decades, yet apparently the past year had an apocalyptic affect on the course? Well, something changed, perhaps management may know what it was. I would not recommend anyone golf here until it is better than fairways with flag sticks twenty yards in front of closed greens (all 54 holes).

Finish Line: what do users think?

Emily Crutcher: Gisela was absolutely awesome with my daughter, she must have tried on 10 plus pairs of shoes (one at a time mind you) and Gisela never got impatient with her at all and brought each pair quickly and efficiently.

anita king: I visited Macy's, one of my favorite stores and I did find some sales.

Darryl Carter Stevens: Quick and friendly service. Excellent selection. They were able to get me exactly what I needed plus give me information on some of the other brands I was interested in. I like the location, accessible to parking and a metro. I'm definitely coming back.

Antonio Romero: Not much variety. It's just a small wall of shoes inside Macy's

visage03: The Finish Line in Macy's downtown DC doesn't have a full compliment of athletic shoes, but if you just need something quick you can go here. I'd recommend you go to one of the malls or Nike outlet.

Althea Black: Have shopped here. At that time everything was ok. Think the entire clothing chain needs to upgrade to a better quality of material. Even though you buy from this caliber of store after you have used or warn an item it gets those little material knots. Gabardine spandex has always been good. Go back to it

James (JTW): No one wanted to help me t seemed like i was a bother to the 2 girls working who were more consumed with there phones then the customers. Small selection of shoes too. Being in the Heart of DC you can go to so many other locations no need to go to this place

Darron Batton: This is not a finish line store!!!!! Traveled 30 minutes spent 20 more minutes parking for a kiosk in Macy’s. Take this down as a finish line store!

nick dunn: Only negative is its in a Macys, other than that it was solid

Lester: Staff was very helpful and had a great attitude.

Macy's: what do users think?

Don Malnati: Nice store, The sales clerks are helpful, but there aren't very many of them. I knew that Macy's sold the perfume that my wife wanted, so I just dashed in, was directed to where I could find it, and purchased it along with a nice gift bag. They have a large variety of things, the gift bags were really inexpensive. A good shopping experience!

Muniba Khan: Stopped by from out of town since the weather ended up being a lot colder than expected. We were able to find some winter wear for a reasonable price, although I wish they had a wider selection of warm coats and some gloves for these cold fronts. Everyone that helped us was super great and friendly!

Charmaine Hurst: I'm from Philadelphia and the Macy's in Washington DC is much better looking inside! Brighter lights, the women's clothing layout displays of colors style, etc. That makes you want to be there and shop and look around. Brighter lights and the white painted walls helps to be a pleasant experience and welcoming. Clean lines and spaces makes it look larger. It is better looking than the Macy's in downtown Philadelphia where it is gloomy looking and old looking. It need a upgrade!

Kristen Ashworth: Had a lot of fun at Macy's while we were on vacation in DC! A perfect way to spend a rainy day on a girl's trip... or any time we needed a little retail therapy ;) . Their shoe and purse department is expansive and most of our purchases were marked down substantially. They even have a section for dogs - good quality dog toys for cheap prices! Dominee in the shoe department was extremely helpful and attentive for all the shoes we tried on - super fast getting sizes, kept us laughing, and went above and beyond to help us!

Michael Anderson: I enjoyed walking around the store window shopping for new items. They was a pretty good selection but thank goodness I wear a popular size or I would have purchased the whole store! I may go back to the Macy's near my home to do some wardrobe updating in the near future.

Jacqueline Francis: I went with my daughter to return a sport jacket and to look around for any new items. My daughter met her former coworker who was kind enough to assist with her return. The experience painless and without incident. After the return, we made our to the children department. My daughter wanted to see if there anything new out for babies 18-24 months. There were some times, but nothing much that caught her. My grandson did grab a footsie pajama and my daughter saw a cute pair of sneakers and a tee shirt. Very cute 😍! The checkout rep was very friendly, and he was the manager. Overall, a great experince🙏🙏🙏

Mike Sackie: It used to be a really good place to shop at but now the customer service just inst there and. Either is the clothes where did it all go? Hopefully one day it will come back 🙏 thanks for ever seeking new styles

C Meadows: Terrible customer service in their furniture department. The gentleman that "helped" me didn't seem to have a clue what he was doing. I asked him questions he couldn't answer so he said he would check with his supervisor and then call or text me the next day. He never did. When I came back to the store three days later he was rude to me about the situation. Shop online to avoid the poor customer service.

Susan Marich: Signs are tough to find. Feels like a fire hazard. Terrible service. Four clerks at the perfume counter just stood around talking and would not acknowledge I needed assistance. I looked for a clerk on several floors ( no one around) and the up escalators didnt work; 4th floor before I found a clerk who would help. The worst! I ended up leaving and spent my money elsewhere. Some people don't need a job I guess.

Cherisse Pais: This store is a disaster. None of the suitcases had prices on them, so I had to hunt down a cashier to find out how much one was, who was MASK-LESS the entire time, not to mention completely incompetent. She ended up charging me when all I wanted was a price check. And then she tried to talk me out of processing a refund, insisting that is was a good deal (it wasn’t). Absolutely not worth going here! It’s gone so far downhill.

Columbia Country Club: what do users think?

Dave Pulford: Beautiful grounds and golf course, timeless decor, very friendly and accommodating staff. Last night we attended the Club's July 4th celebration. The staff did a great job serving ang maintaining a clean setting while surrounded by about 700 guests. Great event!

Norma Champlin: Had a wonderful lunch there with The Women of All Saints.

Starfleet Command (Justin Rosentover): Good I guess

Jennifer Schelly: Beautiful location with tennis, bowling and swimming.

Wayne Womack: Nice place for family

Eugene Kane: Great place for quality events

Gabriel Fineman: I walk past this club on Connecticut Ave on weekends and they seem to have abandoned the north end of their property allowing vines and bushes to overhang and block the sidewalk. Not very good members of the community. —— UPDATE I have added a star because after only two weeks and 190 views, they cut back (severely) the brush and completely eliminated the overhang Thank you.

Wayne Womack: Nice place and clean to

D L: Note: Golf review only. I LOVE this track. It hosted the 1921 US Open which already says a lot. There is so much history here and it is a fantastic location. I know some complain about the layout but they truly maximize the land they have. It will be interesting to see how the Purple Line affects a hole or two. The mix at this course both off the tee and into the green will test every part of your game. They also have some of the best greens I have ever played on and apparently this is a constant throughout the year. One hint, stay below the hole. The par 3 16th (I believe) is iconic and may have been the influence for Augusta National's famed 12th hole. The 18th is a brute and a beauty heading back to the clubhouse. I have also had a great experience with everyone playing at and working for this country club the two times I had the privilege of playing it. I played in a match here and they guys we played against were great golfers and even better hosts. Bob Dolan, the head professional here for decades, was also very gracious. It was fun being in the presence of a legend. And while there is a very high end feel to the club, I never felt too out of place here. That's saying a lot for a guy who grew up only being able to afford munis. And there are other prestigious country clubs in the area where I can't say the same. Obviously it was an absolute privilege to play here, and I hope to be back some day.

Lornel Tompkins: Very nice setting. Have been there 2 years in a row for a dinner & dancing event. Food is very good. Can't comment about the golf. Staff very hospitable.

Penderbrook Golf Club: what do users think?

Anthony Alatis: Fun little course, difficult greens, very nice Bunkers, good service and a good efficient stater process

josh ware: Came here for an outing with work and had a great time. Food was good and so were the drinks, I'm not a golfer but I had fun on the course. Looking forward to next years golf outing with my team.

Johnathan Kiser: Go for the food, not the golf! So it appears this course has a great overall layout and the water features are well placed, but the current condition of the course is absolutely terrible. The 1st hole has major ruts going through the fairway, every hole has large sections of newly placed sod that doesn’t align with grass lengths in the area, and there are still area of bare dirt (approach to 2nd hole). As a sole positive, I will say the greens were well kept. However, for a price between $55 and $67 (depending on time of day), it is WAY over priced and you will have a better time going elsewhere for the money. Furthermore, the assistant working in the pro shop (Asian descent) had a matter-of-fact demeanor when asked about the condition of the course for the price, and didn’t care about the level of displeasure playing a course in need of major TLC. He had a too bad, so sad, don’t care what you have to say mentality and is the primary reason for even writing this negative review. A poor experience coupled with this type of customer service = won’t be coming back. Mulligans, on the contrary, is a great location to grab a bite to eat or drink at a reasonable price! The staff is incredible, and the food is delicious.

Michael Smith: I haven’t played this course for about 3 years due to it being overpriced and the rough playing conditions. I was actually pleasantly surprised by the renovations/improvements they have made but it is still not worth $79. I think $60 is more realistic considering the conditions and only 6,151 yards from the tips. Our tee time was 1:30 and we didn’t tee off until 1:38. We were constantly waiting about 5 minutes at each tee. Hole 10 after the turn is a par 3 and there was one foursome on the green and 3 other foursomes waiting to tee off. I Can’t remember the last I saw four groups on one hole. Pace of play was non existent as it took almost 5 hours to complete and there was no marshal in sight.

Matt Lenio: Unfortunately, this course was in absolutely brutal condition. They claim they're working to improve the course conditions, but it was awful and way overpriced for what you get. Additionally, the staff and cart girls were as friendly as the course is playable. Also, there's not a driving range available for warm-up. This is the first and last time we'll play Penderbrook.

jeff tito: Absolutely in horrid shape, not a flat tee box in site, goose droppings all over greens and fairways, greens are in terrible shape even without goose droppings. I've been here 6/7 times over the last year due to convenience and it just keeps getting worse. No matter what management responds to reviews or excuses they provide it will never be worth more than $20, they might be trying to renovate but every. single. hole. is in shambles. Will not be retuning.
Response: Hello Jeff, We have notified all customers before booking, even online bookings, of the current course conditions and are as accurate as possible. We understand that the improvements/renovations that are underway make the current conditions not up to our standards, but unfortunately that is something that happens during renovations. We have tried to schedule the renovations during the slower season but with the snow in January it has pushed back the completion of those renovations. If you could please contact management at info@penderbrookgolfclub.com, we would love invite you back out after the renovations are complete. Have a nice day!

Mark Jardina: Normally I love this course. Great layout, great staff, fun, challenging and most of the time the cost meets the course. However... Right now they have construction all over the place, closed the 4th hole, and the course is more or less completely unkept... And they still charge 67 per person!! No discount for a closed hole and Goose poop covered fairways and greens while construction equipment drives all over the place in front of your tee shot. Come on guys... Either close, or open, but don't sacrifice quality and good service for cash. You're just going to lose customers. Just bad practice.
Response: Mark, first off thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are sorry you feel that way about the improvements that are underway at Penderbrook Golf Club. We are current in the last phase of our bunker project, which we have been doing during the winter month since those are relatively slow months with colder weather. We have done our best to notify all customers of the condition before booking tee times. It looks as if you booked online for your round on Monday, all online bookings have alerts on the tee times stating, “Bunker Upgrade Project: Please be advised that hole #2 will be closed temporarily. There could also be 1 hole closed on the front 9 temporarily, and other bunkers on the front 9 may be affected due to the project.” We never would be able to anticipate that it would be 65 degrees on a Holiday in February when scheduling the project. Winter rates are much lower than in-season rates because the weather and larger projects may affect the course conditions. As a public facility, there would be no way for us to close for such an extended period and continue to undertake larger projects. We understand your frustration, but we hope you saw the improvements we are making and come back soon.

Lance Arnold: Where do i start off?? I walked in and was greeted by the man at the front desk. He constantly referred to me as “tommy boy”. I wish I didnt let it get to me as i went on to shoot a 124. It got much worse as i went to the bar to get a meal to pick my glum mood up. The waitress threw the menu at me and demanded i know what i wanted right away. I ordered the fajitas and was brought a grilled cheese with planters peanuts. Safe to say i wont be coming back.
Response: Hello, We can say with 100% certainty that most of this did not happen. Although we cannot speak for your score, we do know that no one here has ever referred to someone as "tommy boy" or demanded someone order right away. We would encourage people reading this review to look at your profile and the other reviews you have made so they can see the type of reviews you leave. Although you may think it is funny to leave these type of reviews our staff works too hard to be amused by this.

T Y: This should really be like 2.5. The course is not in great shape. The teeboxes are borderline awful. Lots of patchy spots in the greens, rough and fairways. Multiple holes getting worked on, tons of dead grass/sod off limit areas. They do have a 9th hole clubhouse which is cool, can get a cocktail or beers. The hotdog is $7 which is an absolute rip off its not anything special at all. The worst part is they still charge like $60 w cart for a weekday round and even more on the weekends. I know a lot of the NOVA courses are a poor value just bc of the area but unless you get a deal here for one of their $39 special tee times it's not worth playing.

Manda B: Played mid March 2022. The course was under construction on some holes (sand traps, tee box, fairway) which made for a bit of a rough round

Banana Republic: what do users think?

Jenny O’Neil: The store itself has a small selection. My review is mostly about the unfriendly and i knowledgeable staff. I visited today 12/6 at noon. I went to this store knowing that banana was having a sale 40% off everything and an additional 20% off for card holders. That’s a good deal. First, I asked someone where the petite sizes were, they told me they didn’t carry petite in store. That was a lie because I saw a few petite sizes particular the blazer I bought. My next issue and pet peeve when shopping is when the store employees wants to deny you on discounts. Before purchasing my blazer I wanted to confirm the additional 20%. The cashier said no sorry we’re not doing that. Another lie. I had to search the website, pull up the details and even then they told me it was just online after I showed them the fine print that said IN STORE AND ONLINE FOR IN STORE USE CODE BRCODE! Finally, they said they would “just give it to me” except when I looked at the receipt, the code worked and it marked the 20% off. Stop making us beg for the discounts that we’re entitled to.

David Rosenberg: I think the styles are pretty good, and he staff is friendly. I wish the men's section we're bigger, but for it's size, it has a good variety. More dressing rooms would be nice too, but that's just a function of the footprint, and you can't get that would sacrificing retail space.

Marla holland: Great deals ,the staff is amazing willing to help you find whatever you need..and did I mention plenty of deals

Ivan Narvaez: The usual store of BB. Very clean and nice decoration. The people who work there are very friendly and assist you in all your need. I case you can't find your size or color they offer to look in others stores and send it to your house. Very good service.

Ele Palazzolo: I love this shop! Their sizes are accurate. I have been in Banana Republic in Berlin and London and they are all the same everywhere. You kind of know what to expect and is always right. The staff is also helpful and dedicated.

Titaness Themis: Been there a few times...usually not the most pleasant experience...the worst one was yesterday when I went in to buy two dresses and I asked about military discount. The cashier said that it usually does not work with the extra 40% off promo, but she would try. She entered it manually and I got the military discount on one dress and not the other. When I asked why that was, she gave me at least 4-5 versions as to why, which neither made sense. The discount applies to the whole purchase and not to an individual item according to her, so any further explanation is useless. I had to ask for a manager to step in because the girl just did not what she was talking about it. The manager was very courteous and gave me the discount on the other dress as well. She further explained to me that military discount does not apply to the extra 40% promo, but she did it for me anyway. I appreciated it that. In the future, it is best to say flat out it does not apply and not do it.

Amanda DeNardo: I cannot stress enough how terrible the customer service was at this store. I came in looking for basics and a new top and found a blouse (last in my size) and asked them to hold it for me while I try on some basics. They lacked communication and someone put it back (which is okay, it happens). When I was ready to checkout they gave me a huge attitude and when I asked where my blouse was they seemed offended that I was confused... I went back to the rack and found it put away. When I told them what happened they gave me side eye, more attitude, and didn't apologize. Honestly this was a rant and a half but do yourself a favor and just shop online. These guys are jerks.

Kyle Mahaney: These guys saved my butt! I probably shouldn't admit this in public, but a few weeks ago I was asked to do a very last-minute morning job interview. I was already out of the house in a ridiculous t-shirt when I found out and raced around downtown trying to find an open shop for something halfway appropriate to wear. Everything was closed that early in the morning and I only had 15 minutes left when I got to BR. They were closed too, but I explained my situation through the window and they opened early for me. They sped me through, pulling all the shirts in my size, getting the steamer ready, and even directing me to an item on sale. They got me out of there with minutes to spare and I made it to the interview a few blocks away as the hour was striking. Heroes work at this Banana Republic.

Joseph Raczynski: L shaped store which has more female stock than male. Everything was very well ordered. Always feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @joerazz

Mar Would: Staff was great, dressing room are open, sales are amazing.
