Timothy Greten: I need to relocate the gas line to my house. In the 2+ years since COVID-19 began, Washington Gas sales team responsible for this service has not figured out call waiting technology! You cannot talk to a real human being. The phone message says "Due to the unprecedented pandemic, we are all working remotely"....acceptable in April 2020, not in May 2022. After over a month of me leaving a message and sending an email, they sent a letter saying they are going to "inspect the completed construction project"....except the project is no where near completed because I could not talk to a human being and get someone out here to plan and move the gas line!!! I will be reaching out to VA state regulators and my congressman, as they have cracked the code on answering their phones, to see what be done to force Washington Gas to run their business in a sane or competent manner.

Jenael Falcao: Worst company I have ever dealt with. Not because if gas service, but because their online systems don’t work and you are guaranteed that they will mess up your billing at some point. Calling customer service to resolve issues (which is only available during the same hours most of us are working) may help, but I called just now, got shifted to voicemail, and the voicemail was full. No doubt full of angry frustrated customers. My account was closed when I moved so I can’t pay my final bill online - although it shows that they have tried to process my final payment three times with my stored info and they keep sending me bills with added late fees. Apparently they can’t process a check either. When I first signed up they told me that I had to enroll in autopay Over the phone- so when I enrolled online it looked like my payments were going through, but I was actually racking up a huge bill. That doesn’t make sense? I know. They definitely got more money from me than they earned by me giving up and paying random fees. Good thing they have a monopoly. 0 out of 10 for customer service.

Meagan Ngo: Honestly the most unprofessional company on earth. I have spent countless hours on the phone with them and have never reached any resolution. I have been a resident at the same unit for over 2 years now. I enrolled in autopay and was paying all my bills on time. All of a sudden in like March of 2021 I was not getting billed for anything. My account balance said I owed $0. Never received any bills in the mail. I reached out inquiring about this and never heard back. I had no way of paying my bill. All of a sudden in January of 2022, I receive a packet in the mail with about 15 or so bills saying I owe a huge amount of money. I’ve called multiple times and no one has been able to explain why this has happened. A representative offered to discount me $50 and I asked to speak with a manager. I was informed a manager would call me in the next 1-2 days. Never called me. After 2 more calls with representatives, I was able to get in contact with a manager. Manager said they had no idea why the representative offered to waive $50 and that he would not honor it. Basically no one had an explanation for what was wrong with my bill. Horrible customer service. No apologies or anything. All they said was I have to pay. They soooo generously waived the $65 deposit and $15 initiation fee which I had already paid when I originally opened my account. This company sucks and is terrible. They take no accountability and have no explanation for anything. They deserve 0 stars and I would not even recommend this company to my worst enemy.

Nicholas Tylutki: There should be negative points. Was told my windows for technician to arrive was 7am to Noon. Called them after no show and they said well the window is actually 7am to 5pm, the rep who scheduled it told me the wrong time. Called back again as 5pm was approaching and was told could be as late at 9PM. Monopoly power is amazing. I am now in a 14 hour window! I doubt anyone comes today so I guess I get to burn two days of leave. Utilities are so awful.

Julio Velasco: This is hands down the worst company I’ve dealt with in my entire life, I never rate anyone good or bad, but need to rate how horrible this company is handled. There is only one customer service rep who has helped me out and her name was Gail. Everyone else was horrible. Hanging up on me, switching the phones on me and sending me back to the main line to go through the process all over again. The two agents who did that was Casey and Merrill. Completely unprofessional people.

Kayla Cheney: They can’t send a tech to turn the gas on because “they have too many technicians going out to turn off the gas for non-paying customers.” Five days without heat and it’s in the 30s tonight. I have a three year old who doesn’t need to be sick. Thanks for the great start to new service!

Abdal Qasha: Where do I begin? This company has WORST customer service ever. They have no idea what they are doing. They made us wait 7 days to come and finally restore our service. The worst company ever. We had small kids and infants and I told them to send someone to turn on our gas but didn’t care and kept telling us to wait but no one showed up. I made 170 calls to during that the 7 day period to have them finally send someone.

Axe Mer: This is the first time I've called Washington Gas and its the worst experience I've had. I've been trying to have my gas shut off while some repairs are done to my water unit. its been days and they keep missing appointments and getting confused with the notes they have. the techs who are suppose to stop by the shut off the gas are lying saying they knocked on the door when they did not, now day with technology I can tell who is at my door. so unprofessional.

Angela Branch: I’m only giving one star because I have to in order to leave a comment. I have been calling Washington Gas all week to get service started in my new home by my 5/31/22 settlement date. I was told that because I’m moving to a new development, my address cannot be verified by them. Funny how Xfinity and SMECO can verify my address and start service. It’s also funny how during the walk through, the gas was actually working but they all of a sudden can’t verify my address to start the service in my name. I’m literally on hold with Washington Gas waiting for a supervisor because apparently there is “nothing they can do”. They are the worst and I’m over it.

Sa.: WORST company/customer service EVER. i had them for 5 years now, for the last two years i have not received any bill (from 2019-2022), i had autopay, and i thought i was paying it online. on jan 2022, i discovered my account was closed and new account was created but under my neighbor's name. when i asked them what happened they admitted it was messed up from their side, but re-activated my old account and dumped $1800 of unpaid bill. they used my information to create a new account and now they are not responding my calls and getting disconnection notice with late fee after late fee.. Go ahead file complain with VCC. horrible horrible

Angel Hargrave: Great customer service, very helpful and made sure all my needs were met. Great company to get your natural gas from, also the Corning appliance corporation is fantastic, our water heater is through them and they have great customer service and answer all my questions very helpful.

Charisity Pierce: Lynne was very nice and helpful.

Daniella O'Donoghue: Terrible. Customer service reps have no customer service skills. Constantly send "Disconnection" notices, regardless of payment. Left a valve open when they turned the gas on for my apartment and I had to evacuate until the emergency team came to the house. Also, do not take credit cards, making automatic payments impossible, forcing you to either carry cash, or mail a check. Unfortunately, there are no other gas service options in the area, so they can treat you as awful as they like.

D: I want to Reiterate what my fiance Jimmy Holiday said!Very UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY! And the 3rd guy Jimmy was talking about, was DISGUSTINGLY CREEPY! I also believe he DID NOT work for Corning Natural Gas, and if he does, he should be FIRED!

Mindy Hyer: If I could give 0 stars I would. It's 2017. Almost 2018 and this worthless Gas company is the ONLY company I can't call and pay my bill!!!! So I drive down to pay it and get told I'm sorry we can't take a check. Allow me to drive around to get you cash!!! Absolutely disgusted!!! No other choice when its piped directly into your home!!

Crystal Chaffee: Just the gas company. Terrible customer service. Pay your bill but don't expect anything more than gas. If you smell gas call the Corning fire department, seriously. 911.

Erin Sacksteder: If I could give 0 starts I would. My gas got turned off with no notification. Technically it's spring, but still going below freezing at night. I called and was told I'd have to pay $20 to reconnect and they'd come the next week. I was so mad I hung up. Then I went online to see why my automatic payments weren't going through. Talked to online support and got my account all settled. Online tech support waived the reconnection fee (thank you) and said I'd have service within 24 hours. Great. Annoying, but everything was fine. Except no one came the next day. I connected online support. They told me I had to call. I called, they told me I should have called yesterday and that no one can come until Monday. MONDAY! My gas, which is my heat, hot water, stove/oven, and dryer, was turned off on a Thursday and I'd have to wait until Monday for someone to come. I asked if there's anything they could do and the help person said they'd call me back. A few hours I got a call back but missed the call. I called back right away. I waited 50 minutes on hold just be told that no one could come until Monday. It's cold. I have no heat. And no one from this company cares.

daetherbunny: I have had no gas (so no heat or hot water) for over 2 weeks because my underground supply line was leaking. They shut off my gas at the meter and said they would need their engineering department to run some numbers to see if I could tap into a different gas main closer to my house. It took one week, and several calls, for them to send me an authorization letter saying I could tap into the gas main. My plumbers got to work ASAP laying a new gas line in accordance with Peoples specifications. Someone from Peoples was supposed to come inspect the work. It’s been 6 days and no one has come to inspect the work by the plumbers. I called my state representative and filed a complaint with the Public Utilities Commission. Peoples basically told them they’d come and do the tap in when they felt like it since it’s not the winter heating season anymore and they have 30 days to restore service after it has been shut off. They treated my case as a new construction hookup even though my residence has existing service. They also never cared to inform me that my gas consumption was excessive, which could have indicated a problem. They sure had no problem collecting my $400+/month gas bills, though, as I paid for leaking gas!

L. B.: This company gleefully overcharges. Also they turned off gas supplies to senior citizens. In Pittsburgh, one froze to death along with his son. In the winter time, ones gas bill can go up to 500 a month. Their fees are outrageous. I wonder how much they pay their top ceos. People in Pittsburgh are getting screwed BIG TIME by these corporate energy scoundrels. If I could give them zero stars, I would. Anyone praising them in the reviews I noticed is giving People's praise for doing the job they are suppose to do. They are evil.

Nicole Krieger: I had no notice of getting shut off. I paid my bills I have proof I did. I'm left without gas for 24 hours. Guess I can't cook or shower or have heat. Customer Service reps were rude. Went through 4. One even tried to insult my intelligence and said I had disability. I wasted 2 hours of my work day to resolve this issue. Manager was not helpful.

Caryl Randolph: Today, of all days, pending snowstorm and a scheduled Steeler game, I had to reach out to the emergency number due to an issue with the water tank and boiler. Water tank would kick on, boiler would turn off. From the representative who took the call to the three employees who serviced the call I could not be any happier. The level of expertise and professionalism they extened exceeded my expectations. Great job!

Vikki Zilonis: Marcus was very kind and considerate. He even took the time to circle back to let me know he forgot to inform me there may be an issue with my furnace, and what the issue might be. Thank you, Marcus!

TJ Coyne: People's says their customers need to be more responsible with their account, yet they are unprofessional in properly notifying account holders of service interruptions. As a reminder this service is essential.

Keith Barkefelt: The only reason I'm getting gas from this company is because their the only supplier in my area. In the passed six months, they have sent me no bills. When I accrued enough debt on the account, they sent me an obscene bill. When I called and tried to fix the issue they denied that they weren't sending me bills. So I tried to set up for autopay. Which they did not do whatever it is they need to do again. If peoples natural gas can screw you, they will. Look for any alternative you can.

Amber Lee: This place is a joke, the turn on fees are almost half the amount owed from not being able to pay monthly bill. No customer service hours that accommodate for those who work until 5, now we will have no gas in our house unless I take time from work to sit on hold with them for an unknown amount of time. Don't care about anyone except for their trash company. Wish I could give them zero out of five stars, and even THAT would be too nice.

Laura Buchanan: I wish I could give them zero stars. I tried every day last week to get the service at my new place turned on and couldn't get through. They shut it off, finally got through on phone. Now the apt window to get it turned on is literally 7 am to 5pm. What even is that. So now I have stayed in a 50 degree house for 4 days and they refuse to come turn it on today. I even offered to pay whatever they were going to pay the utility person to come turn it on. I also have had people's gas at other houses/apts I've got great credit-this is a matter of terrible corporate policy. The management in charge clearly need to re-evaluate how they do business. Not happy.

Pat Pagnetti: Ever since I moved 3 months ago, I’ve been trying to set up my bank autopay with Elizabethtown Gas. Their phone system is the WORST. Long waits, dropped calls. They blame it on COVID. My blame is on their not hiring employees. Sometimes I thought it went thru, only to get another statement marked ‘overdue.’ Now trying to pay 3 months back due without leaving my house. I don’t want to go to a ‘location.’ Can’t get thru on phone. Again.

Nora Lazo: The worker that took care of me was very nice and friendly. Now you can make payments in person because two small windows are open. Which is great. Thank you Elizabeth Gas.

Maxwell Boures: Said they would be here between 8-12, never shows up and then we call and he says he came and rang the doorbell when there is no doorbell. Then said they would come between 1-4 so I asked to be called 30 minutes before so I can be at the property and they tell me that it isn't possible. So now I must sit here and wait for them to show up whenever.
