Le Diplomate: what do users think?

Thang Phu: Highly recommended! We stopped by for a late afternoon food one day and was amazed at how fantastic the food is. It was all so good, especially their desserts. I have travelled to multiple regions in France and I can attest the food here tastes the closest to food in France. They even have a wine carafe on the menu, just like France. I wished I lived near here so I could go treat myself now and then.

mike wittenburg: Five Stars for the food and the atmosphere. Visited on a busy Saturday evening and got a table without a reservation, amazing. So much seating available. Indoor and outdoor seating. Went with a couple of friends and the drinks and food were fabulous. Tuna dish is a small serving. Trout was great and the muscles were awesome. Apple dessert and vanilla creme brulee delicious. Definitely a popular spot. And the bread... So much bread... Good variety of bread to choose from. Enjoy!

Daae Katsicoyannis: The meal was incredible. I recommend going with friends and sharing everything. The service was also impeccable. You can tell that all ingredients at this restaurant are fresh and of excellent quality. It’s rare to find such an approachable restaurant of this league. I would recommend to anyone.

brian perkins: Loved this place for a few reasons. Let’s start with the bread. Why can’t all restaurants serve great, fresh, delicious bread? Because it’s not easy. I pictured the empty escargot plate because after dipping the bread in the garlic sauce it was game over. Add onion soup, superb steak frites, profiteroles to die for and you have a neighborhood gem. Not to mention the wait staff gives treats to dogs being walked by the restaurants. How great is that?!

Rob: The food and ambiance are always great. However, on multiple occasions, I’ve felt that the service is not what you’d expect from a restaurant of this caliber. Last time I felt a bit rushed and the service, while attentive, was curt. When our entrees arrived, a waiter couldn’t fully reach to place my friend’s plate in front of him. Rather then walk around the table (there was space), the waiter placed it on the table and gave the plate a quick flick of the wrist to push it over. It’s a small example but I think captures a similar sentiment seen in other reviews about the service.

Karissa Warren: Had an awesome food experience on New Years! Was a little disappointed they didn’t have their usual pastry assortment but every single item we got was delicious!! We really came for the pastries and croissants but were blown away by the food! If you want an authentic French croissant, they’ve got you covered! We will definitely be back!

Dee Ketterman: We’ve eaten here twice and love the food and decor. The feel of the restaurant more resembles an upscale bar with delicious food, as most people are standing and drinking rather than eating. I’d like to try sitting at the bar because I think it’d be a better experience to fit the atmosphere over a low table with people standing all around. The mushroom tart is fantastic and the French onion soup is the best I’ve ever had! The service was dressed appropriately but less attentive than expected, most likely because of how busy it seems to get. Regardless, I really like the food and hope to visit again soon.

Bibiana Oe: Very cute upscale dining experience! The waiter had many recommendations that were appealing. The bread with the butter is amazing! Ordered assorted oysters, mushroom tart, beef bourguignon, mussels and frites, and the profiteroles. Loved everything and it was good portions! Recommend for a lovely cozy dining in experience since the bar and inside of the restaurant is super unique!

Convivial: what do users think?

Esraa Malha: Went for dinner last night and it was by far one of the best dinners I had in DC. The chef worked with me to help select dishes to accommodate my dietary restrictions. The dessert was amazing and super light we didn’t feel guilty having 3 different ones! Highly recommend dining there.

Prem Mithilesh Morampudi: I love the staff, Very friendly. Great food and drinks. Excellent desserts and espresso. Michelin recommended. The patio seating could use an update and indoor could use some air fresheners.

sahithi ellanki: The entrees were a good portion size but I think they could have used a little more flavor. The desserts were absolutely amazing. I had the Sticky toffee pudding and the chocolate souffle

Jean Ng: The name says it all for the dining experience here. The room is well spaced out, warmly decorated and allow decent conversation with your meal parties. The food is really good if not outstanding. Ingredients are fresh and served in generous portions. I’m glad i didnt order any appetiser otherwise I wont be able to have room for more sinful dessert. Beet of my heart, I kid you not thats the cocktail I ordered. And you guessed it right it has beet in it. Its a concoction of burned beet syrup with bourbon. The drink sounded weirdly phony but its actually quite well mixed and tasted refreshing. Highly recommended

Belkiss Anane: Loved the Almond Croissant and my friend loved her quiche, but my foie gras dish was a little too cold so all the fat was pretty hardened- I would have preferred it at room temperature or slightly warm. Would definitely come back to eat here though!

ESB NYC: Pleasant French place in NW DC, kinda pricey for the experience but it’s decent. Service was good, room is nice. I had the bouillabaisse, pretty good.

Gaelle Claude: This restaurant has been on my list for quite a while, and I finally got a chance to try it! My boyfriend picked this restaurant for my birthday dinner so I was definitely excited. We picked the 3 course dinner for $40 / guest, I believe. I had the tomato gazpacho, which I did not enjoy at all. My boyfriend picked a flatbread, which was pretty good but not as enjoyable as it got cold. For my entree, I ordered the bouillabaisse and my boyfriend ordered the salmon. My entree was 8/10 and his 6/10. The dessert was decent as well. I had the key lime pie; but I can’t remember what my boyfriend ordered. Overall our experience was 7/10

Bistro Bis: what do users think?

Ardavan Tookaloo: We went there during restaurant week for brunch. Everything was good, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was great. Our server was friendly and on time. I love it there and would go back for sure. The only reason I gave it 4 was because our server told us the champaign is $40 and he would give us some orange juice so we can make mimosa for ourself, however when the bill came, he charged us $56! When we asked why $56, he said $40 was the bottle the rest was the service for the Champagne and glasses and orange juice! I didn’t argue just because he was nice and the food was good otherwise I would have asked for manager.

Andrea Black: Had an amazing time here! The food was delicious and definitely had great portions. I had the duck and friends had other entrees - everyone loved what they ordered. Beautiful atmosphere and decorum here. I will say, my visit was extra special as two young people decided to spend forever with each other. The man was definitely happy the woman said Yes and the restaurant shared in their happiness. Beautiful scene, encourage others to come by. Parking will be on the street - stop by a few minutes early just in case you have a small walk.

Mehdi Zamanipour: Delicious fresh french food. The place was almost full when we visited on Sat for brunch. Although it was because of the restaurant week fest. Servant was friendly and on-time.

goklt: Cute little place for frozen drinks on those hot summer days. They have a good variety at both locations. Of course it could use more alcohol but that could be dangerous!

Michael Gaster: On a 4day trip that started in New Orleans where I expected to start with amazing food and was greatly disappointed; then on throughout my journey nothing did it for me until I finally landed in DC and came to Bistro Bis! I ate more than i should have and it was worth every bite from every course I had. Started with the Billi Bi soup, followed by the Salad Pinache, then the crab cake and finished with the Gateau Opera dessert, delicious!

Janelle Evert: We wanted a relaxing meal after seeing many Washington DC sights, Bistro Bis, a French restaurant, was the perfect setting. The atmosphere was chic & fresh, and the staff was very attentive. Yaneth and Mohammed were our servers, bringing us each a hand selected French wine along with a delicious sample of soup & baguette slices I ordered Mussels Marseillaise with a mouthwatering fennel & tomato broth, while my husband ordered the classic and highly recommended Beef Bourguignon in a rich wild mushroom red wine sauce. Both entrees were delectable. We ended our evening with a scrumptious tarte au citron. It’s lemon & blueberries-what’s not to like? If you are in the Capitol area, please stop at Bistro Bis, on E Street, you won’t be disappointed.

Cha Vang: Had the Branzino fish and it was a revelation. The fish had a crispy skin with a walnut crust that was absolutely delicious. The seafood bisque was very delicate yet very good. The ambience was low key and very modern chic. Loved it and great for dates.

Dan Castor: Many people who travel to DC look for the quintessential go-to fine dining restaurant. If that is you, you must try Bistro Bis. Very professional staff, culinary staff that has been in place many years. These are the factors that make a great fine dining establishment. Give them a try. You won’t be sorry that you did.

Bistro Cacao: what do users think?

David Anderson: Excellent service and a wonderfully prepared meal. From the cheese board and salad with roasted pumpkin and cranberry to our main dishes - Bouillabaisse and Steak Frittes...all of it was extremely tasty. The steak was a perfect medium rare and tender. Great wine list and our pre-dinner cocktails were also very tasty. All around a great experience.

Chloe Memoir: From the moment we walked in it felt special. The host was very pleasant and our server, Ismael was very attentive and professional. He is amazing!! He knew the menu made great recommendations so I was able to find dishes that compliment my diet. The mushroom crepe is delicious!! He didn’t miss a beat! We will soon be back.

Mary H: More like a 4.5. We came for Sunday brunch and so glad we did. Cute atmosphere, love the decor. The outdoor seating was lovely as well but since it was so humid, we opted to sit inside. Cocktails- *lavender French 75, my new favorite brunch drink. Went down so easy and it was sooo tasty! *ange blanc-tasty! Apps- Escargots-mmm so garlicky Main entree *NY Strip with sunny side egg- beef was a little chewy Desserts- *Crème brûlée just the perfect amount to finish a meal *Challah French toast-sounds heavier than it tastes. We would definitely return. Would like to try other options on the menu. Service was friendly and helpful.

Kiara C: Ambiance was amazing, the food was delicious and the service is A++. If you’re considering going, just go. I ordered the mushroom ravioli and my friend ordered a steak. Both dishes were delicious! We also ordered a bottle of the Bordeaux and it was tasty. I can’t wait to go back.

Kathy W: We went there during restaurant week for lunch. Great ambience, good service and delicious food. Chocolate tart was the highlight of the meal, rich but not too sweet, balaced with Raspberry sauce. Highly recommended.

Wilson Fujinaga: Super cute quaint decor with kinda funny cheesy music that serves good food with great staff! The French onion soup was charred to perfection, pâté was exquisite, onion jam legit delicious. Our meals were done well, we came back for brunch and had dessert, which I never do!

Edward O'Beirne: This was fine dining as advertised. Service was impeccable and very friendly. Water glass never half empty, which is my litmus test for attentive waitstaff. The food was extremely well-prepared with skill, arrived very hot. The best French onion soup I’ve ever had. In particular, the cheese did not glop up in the throat like some, and you know what I mean. Very tasty. The setting was refined and romantic. This was our 17th anniversary and we were very pleased. Would definitely return.

Ayele Ba: Absolute best brunch in the DMV food is amazing and Izzy and Dennis are incredibly sweet and patient we had a large party and we had the most wonderful time.

Bistrot Du Coin: what do users think?

Syerra Carigo: This is a very interesting restaurant. Hundreds of French pictures and trinkets fill the walls. You will definitely get a feel of French culture when visiting this restaurant. The staff are great! They were all accommodating, and very friendly! It was packed, but the waitstaff made their way around to check on us very frequently. The food I tried was okay. I wasn’t amazed, but it wasn’t terrible. I’d definitely give them another try, I just wasn’t impressed today. They do have a great wine and cocktail selection though.

Oceanie De Silva: My husband’s all time favorite place in DC! So it was the obvious choice to celebrate our anniversary there! My first time and I absolutely loved it! Having lived in Brussels this French bistro reminds me of the bistros in Brussels! Simply loved it! From our starters to the mains!! Highly recommend anyone to visit and enjoy true French cuisine!

J Acharya: What an interesting vibe. It’s a happening place. It’s the place to see and be seen. Very loud and fun. The food is a hit or miss. It really depends on what you order. DO ORDER : Beef Stew in a Red Burgundy Wine Sauce with Onions, Mushrooms & Pasta. Absolutely delicious! For the dessert you can’t go wrong with the Classic Creme Brulée with Vanilla Bean. It’s don’t right here. DO NOT ORDER : The Pan Seared Beef Tenderloin. It was so chewy. It was not cooked properly. I had to spit some out in my napkin because I could just not get it to break down. Don’t order it! As for the dessert, the Poached Pear with Vanilla Ice Cream did not do anything for me. The pear did not go well for the creamy ice cream. They just put giant chucks of it in there. Again, don’t order it.

Bonnie Ponce: Fun atmosphere with great food. I ordered the mini ravioli with seafood and mushroom sauce. It came with lots of melted cheese and was tasty but it was a heavy and rich dish. Great selection of alcohol and the cosmopolitan was the drink of choice at my table. The bread was tasty and the prices were very reasonable. I highly recommend.

Kelly M.: Absolutely delicious! I ordered the mini ravioli with seafood and mushroom as an entrée and crème brûlée for dessert and was thoroughly impressed by both. I’m someone who typically gets very bored with pasta dishes but that couldn’t have been further from my experience with this ravioli dish. It was rich and tasty all the way through. And the crème brûlée was sweet but not overwhelming, and was of the perfect creamy texture. My friend got the beef stew and said the meat was tender and the stew well seasoned. Highly recommend! But either make a reservation or get there earlier in the evening because it gets packed - understandably, given how delicious it is!

Shahin CheraghiPour: One of the best French food with reasonable price. Very homey and European atmosphere. Favorite go to stop for Steak & Frits and muscles.

Morten Kabell: Service was friendly and efficient. Water was warm when served (!). The steak tartare was good enough but without any edge or special treatment that would have made it truly interesting. And it would be great if the waiter had told us that they serve a mixed salad with the steak so we didn’t have to order a separate one for 18$. The other steak was as ordered - again nothing really special but made well enough

Rachael Herrera: I’m sure this restaurant holds a special place in many peoples memories, but I don’t think I’m one of them. After reading reviews about the food and service, my boyfriend and I were quite looking forward to visiting bistrot du coin but now I feel like our time would’ve been better spent elsewhere. While my steak was tasty, it certainly wasn’t the best steak. Aside from the fact that I asked for medium and got what was basically a well done steak, my boyfriend asked for a dish and got another one so we had to wait for the correct dish to be made. The wine wasn’t the best. The music was all over the place. Multiple times we had a waiter come to us with incorrect dishes meant for other tables and one time just to be given a fork that neither of us asked for nor needed. Lighting was also not the best. Please please please use similar light bulbs. The mix of fluorescent lighting and soft white lighting just isn’t the best. Overall, while what we ordered was fine, it definitely wasn’t anything to write home about nor was it anything you couldn’t get anywhere else at any half decent French restaurant.

Frank Fayer: Like the famous Katz Deli in NYC, this place is the French version of that. Just amazing through and through. The most homey French food (and surprisingly huge portions) in a well lit family style red checkered tablecloth setting, and a full huge bar, we felt like we were somewhere just outside of Paris, like Nice, maybe. Service is very French too haha (or Dutch?). We had the French Onion soup which was the best I’ve ever had, delicious cheese top and hearty juicy onion soup. The seafood ravioli was my personal favorite - the veggies and shrimp and pasta and cheese and mushrooms in lobster sauce made such a rich taste, very filling too. And the Cassoulet de Bistrotier stands out too as a front runner, so tasty and hot, exceptional sausage, pork fat, and strong delicious lamb flavors on top of the beans. Just exceptional food. Enjoy every bite.

Le Chat Noir: what do users think?

Erin Allen: What a bummer of an experience. The food was over-priced, over-cooked, the beer was warm, we weren’t allowed to order bread till we ordered an entrée and they didn’t let us split the check. Everything was centered on convenience for the business and not the customer. Higher prices are fine but when you match the price with the value. I could have gotten a better experience at an Olive Garden for less. That says something. Won’t be back. 2 stars because as far a I could see it was at least clean.

Hilda Kroll: The best Quiche Lorraine I ever ate. My motivation and reward for walking from Friendship Heights to the Tenleytown Metro is to stop at Le Chat Noir for lunch.

Charles-Stephen Laubhouet: Went late before closure but we were invited to seat in nonetheless. This is the first thing that made me love the place. The restaurant really looks like you are in France , from the decorations to the lighting. My wife had the bijoux de boeuf and I had le saumon danseur! Food barely took 7 minutes to come. Let me tell you that i never ate anything so good in a long time. This was truly french gastronomy! If you read this, Thank you guys for your authenticity! Before our food actually came we were given the best pieces of french bread with butter we had in a while. And before we left we had the best crème brûlée! I wish i could time travel and eat everything again. Our server Mr. Issa was not only accommodating but extremely friendly and spoke french! He recommended my wife a very good sweet white wine and she really loved it with her meat. My kids had a made up items that was not on the menu, which they really loved ! This place is génial ! I would definitely go again. Parking was easy and free in a street adjacent to the next door restaurant. I wish i could give 10 stars just for the fact that we were invited in even though they were about to close! Thank you guys

P A: Was here for brunch. Food was good. Atmosphere was good for a late brunch on the weekend. Customer service NOT great!!! The guy seemed rude. Didn’t come check Our table not even once! Had to wait about 20 minutes with only 2 other parties in the restaurant. Don’t expect much when it comes to customer service here.

John Vidal: Traveling family of five from Texas stopped at this cute restaurant. We wanted crepes at the request of the kids. We not only got the the best crepes ever the host gave as warm baguette with butter while we waited.

Max Rameau: Fantastic authentic French food in a relaxing environment. Menu is wonderful, onion soup is to die for and everything else is delicious as well. You cannot go wrong here.

Mark Winstead: Ignore negative comments about the service. The owner and all the staff were efficient, helpful and warmed up nicely with a minimum of effort. Challenged my 23 year olds regarding drinking age quietly and in french, accepting their oral assurance they were legal. Very nice touch. Crowded Saturday night, less than 5 minute wait for reserved table. Food prices are excellent reflecting solid choices, old standards, and a few gourmet choices. Reasonable wine prices (no domestic wines) and the recommended Chardonnay was delicious at $55 bottle. Trio du Terrior is one of my favorites and the beef choices we had were up to par. Unlike a big name, high priced restaurant the dishes were 95% as good at 60% of the price. Desserts amazing!!! Full dinner for 3 people including the wine was under $200 before tip. I will be back. 2nd visit.....2/2020 same as first. Everyone super efficient and food delicious.

dasha f: my boyfriend came in for a pickup order for us to eat and the entire staff berated him because i didnt come with him. i had placed an uber order and sent him a screenshot and they continued to be disgustingly unprofessional throughout the entire encounter. after this incident the staff continued to come up to the window and stare and point at our car, as we were standing at a curb with our hazards on. first and last time i ever come here.

Matisse: what do users think?

Kenneth Meyerson: As an annual patron at Matisse since 2014 I have to say that the atmosphere and food have made no compromises in light of the pandemic. This is an excellent place to escape for a meal with family and friends. Staff and chefs are fantastic and deliver excellence.

Tadas Pack: Food was better than expected. Oysters were sublime, and the lamb was cooked to perfection. The sauce paired perfectly! Only word of caution is if its for a special occasion, I specified a birthday on the celebration - but there was nothing special out of the kitchen to that end

Joshua Brady: Wonderful French restaurant. It is a reliable stalwart, but not dated at all. The menu includes traditional comfort food (roast chicken) and great specials. Wine list is very good, too.

Jaclyn Scarlett: We stayed at the Mangroove for a week and the food at Matiss was delicious. I had the Poke by the pool almost everyday. On top of the food the service was excellent, Alexis helped us out several times during our stay and her was incredibly attentive and so polite. We look forward to seeing him on our next visit.

Jill Bruno: Fabulous dinner last night. They have a regular menu and the a specials of the night menu too. The front of the restaurant has an exposed brick wall with a bar & a few tables. The more formal area is in the back. Easy parking too.

Sonia Julie: The food was delicious, wine and champagne was the best!!! Service was spectacular!!! I reserved the space upstairs for my mother’s 50th birthday and it was beautiful and exactly what we wanted. Thank you very much for making her day feel special and memorable. We will surely be back again.

Elke Ortner: The food was excellent, table setting was perfect. We sat outside, which I really enjoyed bc the seating area is not too close to the street. Service was outstanding...Bravo! The food was delicious and presented perfectly. We ordered three different desserts, every single one was outstanding.

Jason O' Brien: My 5th time in 6 weeks. Always a pleasure, staff are always friendly and well informed on the menu. The food is excellent and very well prepared. The Apple tart is an absolute must. If you like the better things in life you’ll be happy you stopped and dined here.

Poncho Gomar: Very good food and service. Simple, yet elegant. Nice wine list.

maxalto: The restaurant is located on Wisconsin, and is easy to get to. The good: - beef medallions, though lacking texture, tasted good The bad: - I can’t recall the last time I had to send back pasta. I ordered the linguini with wild mushroom, which sounded delicious, but it tasted completely flavor-less. I didn’t think this would be possible with pasta, but here I am proven wrong. - same issue with mussels - but it was our appetizer so we ate it anyway (hunger can be a b%^*c) - lackluster service. Linguini was served without a spoon, and the waitress barely checked on us through dinner. I don’t know if the chef took the night off, but it felt like the place despises flavor. Definitely will not be going back. Much better options around the corner such as Et Voila, Bistrot Lepic, and not to mention Bistrot Provence.

Bistrot Lepic & Wine Bar: what do users think?

Lina Bazensky: Excellent ambiance and customer service! Delicious food! We received a gift to go try Bistrot Lepic and scheduled a reservation for a Wednesday night which happens to be Jazz Night! The band offered a great environment through their music. Highly recommended!

Michael X: I ate here for the first time, their bread is very crispy, and the taste of other specialties will be bitter in my personal experience, maybe I am personally surprised! Garlic snails are still good, the final soup and bread is a very good companion 🧑‍❤️‍💋‍🧑

Shaoqi Fan: We reserved a table for valentines dinner. Very nice environment and service, wide selection of dishes, taste authentic. They ask for ID and vaccine proof before you go in.

john callf: This is a rare moment when you come across a restaurant which transports you through the simple passion of a Chef. A chef who would appear to know what he is doing. We have eaten around the world and tasted street food to 3 star Michelin. So when i say this is now one of our favorite restaurants i am reflecting on an evening where everything tasted exactly like a really good French brasserie in Paris should do. Just good, well prepared flavorsome food and just the right size portions. Highly recommended

Besart Ç.: Everything was overall good. The confit de canard was delicious but felt like the price was too steep. Other local French spots of similar price range charge significantly less for the dish. I heard the Wednesday Jazz nights are fun so I intend on returning.

HAL Deiri: A hidden gem, a must visit for French soul food and great service. The Fricassée mushroom was addicting and wine was top notch. The only thing that could have better was the butter…it should have been room temp. but that’s just me nitpicking

Chanelle Green: They make one helluva Old Fashioned! Good bartender- provided water without even asking.

Guillaume NICOLAS: Great authentic food, very reasonable prices for the quality. Expensive wine list but you can access very exclusive bottles for a good price.

Le DeSales: what do users think?

Ido Simyoni: As we set down and saw the menu we were little bit confused since Google suggested it was a French restaurant but the menu had sushi. The waiter confirmed it was a mixed cuisines kind of place. We got the chicken hen with chocolate mole (which is very Mexican to me) and the skirt steak. For dessert we had the crème brûlée. Food was just ok. Service was great though.

Shauna and Tray: I ordered the meatball; it was cold. The waiter informed me that they would have to remake it but then told me they couldn’t make it. I was able to choose another entrée. I chose salmon; the side dishes were delicious. However, the salmon was undercooked. The manager came out, gave me a complimentary drink, and comped my meal; The service was good, but the kitchen didn’t prepare the food properly.

Bijan Abrahim: We came here to celebrate my dad’s birthday and we’re not disappointed. The experience was perfect with every dish and component being perfectly executed. The vibe here is fresh and lively and the menu selection is exquisite.

Brad Boute: Food was pretty good, and not as good as the prices imply. Service was excellent, and the atmosphere was intimate. However, the lack of sound dampening makes for a very loud dinner.

Elena Anderson: Really great service. I visited for a business lunch. The cuisine is modern Japanese and the menu offers both unique and familiar selections.

Charlotte Myers: Looks like a really cool place with a great menu but we never got to try any of it. We made a reservation for 9pm - arrived at 8:55. There was no host upon arrival, just a line and confusion. We still were not seated by 9:30 so we left. The staff seemed to be busy and working hard but I wonder if reservations should be limited until they are better able to accommodate more people since there were open tables when we were there.

Amelia Rutter: Extraordinary! Highly unique take on exquisite sushi and sashimi. A must visit for an amazing dining experience. Will be back!

Paul Citrowske: Very good sushi and sides! The beer was also fantastic and the staff were so so nice and friendly they remember us when we came back a few days after our first visit! The fish and chips, salmon cilantro, smoked salmon were all so delicious!

Nisan A.: A cosy place for a good gathering. Good food, especially the desserts. The fire place in the middle of the restaurant is just heartwarming. Wonderful staff and the ambiance is relaxing. Decent wine.Added to the list of my favorite places in the city.

Nathanael LHeureux: The food was excellent, the atmosphere charming, and the service friendly and attentive! I had the lobster bisque and my wife a watermelon and feta salad (the watermelon salad stole the show). I had the quail special and my wife the sole. Both were quite good but again the sole stole the show. For dessert we both had souffle and both flavors were excellent!

Christopher Gregorski: Great classic French cuisine, great waitstaff. Doors open at 5:30 on the dot. While the back-right corner booth is excellent for people-watching, the kitchen light/noise breaks the ambience. The baked onion soup is a must!

Nicole Eifler: (+) Food was great - heavy and French. Escargots cooked perfectly. Food service timing impeccable. (-) had to ask twice for the bill, I hate that. Small selection of by-the-glass wine. Ambience was fabulous - country French. Will definitely go back.

Gloria Smith: I moved here from San Francisco and was told that the restaurant scene in DC was lacking. First of all I have not found that to be true at all. I only live a few blocks from La Chaumiere and have always found the food snd service exceptional. In addition the fireplace in the winter creates a perfect ambience.

Elisabeth Naitana: It was Thursday evening, we were just arrive to DC and after some shopping me, my sister in law and my two year old son get in and ask for a table. A man in suit who looks like a manager (not very kind) sit us in a table in a little space by the entrance to the left….in the same area were a table with 3 adults finish there dinner and talking very loud. We sit down in our table, and start to look at the menu, my son was drinking water when a woman about 75 year old said: could you please stop him to do that? referring to my son. I just ignore the comment and start to order our food, we were hungry and very tired after 14 hour of flight. When we star to order our food my son start to talk normally like every other boy at this age, when this woman got up from the table and ask to the manager if they could it take they dessert in other place because my son was to noisy and she had a problem with his ears. At this point I just couldn’t ignore there comments and we decided just leave the place, at that very moment the manager just smile and said please leave in a very bad way, so aggressive. Well, the woman was an old problematic lady, but what was UNACCEPTABLE was the attitude of the manager who never give a solution to this woman and encourage her to arrive to this uncomfortable situation for us. When I confront him after being silence hearing all those bad thing than this old woman said about my son, I just told him, if this restaurant is adult only or you are not welcoming children you have to put a sing on your door so I don’t waisted my time. He answered me: you have to control your son and make him silence… I just said to him : your are being rude and I can’t make my son stop breathing or being because I crazy lady want it to. At this point I was so mad than my son starts to cry. I leave the place and some waiter said I’m so sorry. Massimo, my son is a normal boy, used to go out for dinner, enjoying food and he really behave. He wasn’t doing anything wrong, and let me tell you there I’m the very first in correct him if is not behave like he suppose to do. I have a restaurant on my own and I never will put my costumer through this situation. I felt overwhelmed because I never lived a situation like these. The manager was disrespectful, rude and to me was shocking that some one who I have never seen in my life told me how I suppose to raise muy own son… if you are reading these, you wish to have a awesome and amazing boy like Massimo. Anyway I didn’t get the chance to try there food, but if there is something that I know is this…. You have to treat people with respect, let them have for the beginning a good experience, food is not everything, costumer service is really important, and above all do your job with love and passion, there being very obvious that this manager doesn’t have those thing cause he treat people like trash. This French restaurant clearly don’t represent what it is France, with is awesome food, and is welcoming and friendly people. So to any one, don’t go there specifically if you have children.

Dr. Parry A. Peet: By far the best French restaurant in the area. The entire meal was divine.

Mr Williams: Very plain. Expectations and it’s old time atmosphere set us up for a nice dinner. But not being a regular it quickly became clear that our waiter was going through the motions and was cordial, at best. Our dinners were also “underwhelming,” at best. My wife and I, because of our high expectations, almost didn’t want to talk about it. We wanted it to be great! It wasn’t until we left that we both confessed that it was “eh,” at best.

Chez Billy Sud: what do users think?

Alexander O'Neill: Whether for an anniversary, birthday, or date night, Chez Billy Sud is the perfect place to celebrate. A small French bistro in Georgetown, this restaurant has an intimate atmosphere well reflected in its dishes. Every dish on their menu is a winner and you simply cannot go wrong. The poultry dishes are excellent, and I’d recommend pairing with a bottle of wine. The sommelier is hilarious and went above and beyond to help us decide on a pairing.

Diana Milena Lopez Avila: Amazing good & service. We ordered the leeks vinaigrette for appetizer and the poulet rôti for main course. For dessert we ordered the tarte au fromage. Everything was absolutely amazing.

Jannat Nain: Just left chez billy and I feel compelled to write this review. We stopped by without a reservation and were accommodated by the staff. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Torrence (hope I got the name right!) was an excellent server and made sure we were comfortable the entire time. The food was absolutely delicious and exceeded our expectations. We ordered the gnocchi special, the duck, the chicken and the buccatini. The dessert was good too. The ambience was really nice as well. We will be back here again!

Hope Greenleaf: Really cool place! You’ll find a great happy hour, yummy food and drinks, and a fun and knowledgeable staff. The restaurant itself is really cute. There is a little courtyard between two buildings. I prefer to sit at the beautiful wooden bar in the right hand side building. I don’t remember the bartender’s name but he was witty and kind. I definitely recommend Chez Billy Sud!

lucia hostrup: Beautiful French Restaurant in Georgetown . My recommendation is: MOULES-FRITES and LOUP DE MER -Delicious Sea bass. try to get a spot on the courtyard out back.

Jamie: so lovely! went here to celebrate with my friends and everyone was very friendly. really enjoyed the diverse crowd and our dinner and drinks were wonderful 10/10

Areen SH*: This place is so cute and cozy and Alamo feels private. The food is always amazing, the staff is very friendly. I would recommend this restaurant for couples or maybe a group of 4 , but not more.

Central Michel Richard: what do users think?

Adam Riemer: I’ve been here a few times for dinner and this was my first time for lunch. The service is always perfect. The French onion soup is delicious and the burger was as expected for lunch. The sauce on the top bun was tasty too. The chicken nugget appetizer was tough and not good texture and mouth feel wise, but the sauce was nice. Each dinner has been as expected. If you want consistency with French food and amazing customer service, Central is for you.

W Vanessa: I was overwhelmed! First time in DC, my first meal here…. I felt so lucky!! Found you!!! Awesome services 😍warmly! Delicious food! Un-expected price!( Thought more expensive in this area and with this good quality service and fancy restaurant) We have 3 adults and 2 kids. Boys looooove spaghetti and Mac and cheese!!! Me222! Believe me! They are not like regular spaghetti and Mac and cheese!! If you have kids! 💯 try it!!!

Robin R Johnson: The food is unique, yet familiar (not like a menu of things so foreign you’re afraid to try). The wine, excellent ( they’ll give you a taste if you’re not sure). But be sure to save room for desert, and be prepared to be amazed. Note: it’s loud here, so not the best first date location. Second date, sure!

Craig Herrick: It’s always a pleasure to dine at Central. The food is perfect with a variety of items and price points. Same for the wine list. The atmosphere is vibrant. Outdoor dining is fun on the right day

Cristina Guidi: Ok…..this restaurant did it AGAIN! Central has a new Chef’s menu with four courses and it was out of this world. The meal started off with an amuse bouche of a gougeres with pate. Yum!!!! The blintzes were stuffed with truffled goat cheese and golden beets with arugula. The main was a braised beef short rib sitting on top of ancient grains. Lord have mercy that was delicious. And dessert was a sweet potato cheesecake. All for $70! Well worth it!! Heavens! This was one of the best news I have had in a long time. The chef’s menu for some reason is not on their website. I just happened to see it on Instagram at @centralmrdc. Do yourself a favor and enjoy this meal.

Anna: Good, not amazing. We enjoyed the staff, food was good. We tried the shrimp cocktail and hanger steak.

Daniel Rosen: Every single time I visit this place, its perfect! The amazing fresh and delicious food, the attentive servers, they consistently deliver quality. Just look at the plate......devoured...great job to the team and Boris.

Yacin Loraoui: Great ambiance, great food. Love the fried chicken every time I have it! Menu is random for a “French” restaurant (Pasta, fried chicken, tagine, schnitzel) It’s Not cheap

Chyrl Jones: The food was amazing! Everything from the appetizers, main course and desserts was incredibly delicious. Particularly loved the banana split. The manager was very friendly and spent time with us sharing the cooking process for several of the items we had for dinner.

La Bise: what do users think?

Jeoff Hall: Birthday dinner for daughter’s boyfriend. Started with cocktails at the bar with a friendly, experienced bartender (Thomas). In the dining room, service was smooth and pleasant (Abdool). Appetizers and entrees were as attractive and creative as they were delicious. Desserts were a also on point. Wine list could use some attention.

Aman Shah: Staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. The food was very nice and they had a pretty good wine selection.

Sylvia Ghassemieh: We went here for restaurant week and were very satisfied! The restaurant is beautiful inside. The staff is very friendly and happy to help with menu suggestions and options. We both got the steak frites and both were cooked perfectly to our individual tastes. I started with the potato soup and I loved it- really hit the spot on a cold winter night. Hubby had the Spanish octopus and he has only ever really liked it in calamari but he said the texture and flavor were so good. It wasn’t really fishy and not rubbery at all. He sad it reminded him eating pork. It was well prepared. Everything from the bread and port butter to start to dessert and cocktails were truly delicious. They also make you prove your vaccination status and I appreciate that. Especially dining indoors it just made us so much more comfortable. I can’t wait to try other restaurants by the same owner.

Craig Herrick: Can I give six? Michelin come do your review. Best dinner I’ve had in several years.

Peggy Williams: This is a wonderful restaurant. The decoration is beautiful, the location could not be better and the food is wonderful! Every dish is well executed and handomely served. Restaurant week allows you ti decide if its worth coming back and La Bise, will definitely be worth paying their regular prices. Ive been to severan french resraurants in the cuty and th I s one, us by far the best! The Beef Tartar was so flavorful, the Octopus perfectly cooked, the salmon Coulibiac generous and delicious, the halibut well served and the traditional lovely desserts were amazing! Great service!

Abby Vircks: Spectacular experience. The food was amazing - the salmon was a religious experience. Please go!

Jo Ro: I visited La Bise for the first time. I enjoy French food, so I ordered two classics: Frisée Lardon and Steak Frites. Both dishes were absolutely delicious. This is a restaurant that specializes in classic French bistro dishes prepared at a highly elevated level. Delights easily and will tie you over comfortably until your next trip to France. Made me eager to return very soon.

Sebastian Nieves: The service, the quality, and the price sets this place apart. Truly a gem of a place. We brought in our baby and they were nothing short of hospitable and happy to serve us. This speaks volumes on the quality of staff. And the food goes without saying, amazing!

Dian Z: I LOVE this place. The crispy spicy pork belly is to die for. Duck breast is second to none in the city (Michelin restaurants included). By the way, have you ever had Salmon Wellington before?

BISTRO DU JOUR: what do users think?

Hilda Kroll: There was no indoor seating for lunch today, which was wonderful on this beautiful, breezy summer day. The Quiche Florentine and salad were delicious and reasonably priced at $14. I only had to wait around 15 minutes for a table looking out at the water. Easy to get to from the National Mall on the free Neighborhood Shuttle. A great option for tourists and those of us who live in the DMV area.

Cody Cervenka: Had a wonderful meal at Bistro Du Jour before going to a concert at the Anthem. The staff was friendly, the space was inviting, and the food was great. There were so many thing we wanted to try! Our favorite of the night was the Coq Au Vin (Braised Chicken, Bacon, Mushrooms, Pearl Onions, Mashed Potatoes). The chicken was falling off the bone and so tender! Unfortunately they were out of cinnamon buns so can’t wait to come back next time and grab one. This is a great spot to have a good meal before a day/night on the waterfront.

L Conn: Shout out to an amazing waitress Angelique!!! Thank you for great service and helping us navigate the Qr code. Love the grapefruit salad, crudite and fresh squeezed juices. Best Salmon we have ever had.!!!

Christina Z: Had breakfast here and it was delightful. My only complaint is that my cappuccino was served in a glass, not a mug. Because the glass was not double walled and had no handle, the glass was too hot to hold and drink. By the time the glass cooled down, the cappuccino was cold. What good is that?

Joe Muller: My wife and I went here for Bloomaroo and got an awesome window table in the heated tent outside. The food was great, especially the lamb shepherd pie which has really cheesy. The last pic is of the Choux Pastry 👌

Jeanice Barrett: This restaurant was top notch. From the Host, to the waiter and the manager. We asked to eat outside and nothing was available but they worked to get us a table even with no reservation. The food, cocktails and desserts were amazing. Highly recommend!

Stacy: Everything was incredible. The waffle was sweet and delicious. The croque madame was a décident savory meal. For lunch the fries were incredible as were the green beans. Everything was just amazing.

Jim Haynie: This enjoyable place opened up in Nov 2021. The place was a coffee shop closed for 2 years. Now it is a French type pastry, bistro place with light dinner offerings. The menu is small and a bit odd for dinner. Perhaps more light bites. The apple pie was very good with a balance of tart and sweet. The Cortado was piping hot and a nice fresh cup. Love the atmosphere with real candles and a home town feel to it.

Mr Blue: French citizen living in DC, their steak frites is legit. A bistro is a type of inexpensive (but not cheap) “cantina” in French big cities and this place is definitely upscale (I mean, DC), but it’s done right. The menu is legit what you would find in France. Can tell they’re airing trendy french artists too. To those offended by the wine service in non traditional wine glasses, don’t! It’s actually how you drink table wine in France. Pas de chichis. Removing one star as the service is a bit behind after 1PM. I recommend booking in advance on weekends if you want a seat on the patio, you can order and pay via the toasty app or ask a waiter.

Primrose: what do users think?

Heike Yates: We celebrated our anniversary in this welcoming restaurant. Everyone was very friendly and the restaurant had a neighborhood vibe but big city menu. We enjoyed a delicious dinner of French onion soup with a fantastic crust and no sogginess, steak and halibut were cooked just right. They also made sure to accommodate my allergies. Dessert was yummy to finish out the meal. Plus they offer a nice variety of tasty wines. Highly recommended and it was so relaxing.

Josh Jankot: We came for the Primrose Burger & Frites based on reviews from Eater DC and it didn’t meet expectations. We ordered medium rare and it was served medium well. The fries were crispy and far superior to the burgers quality. We bumped up the review based on tasty appetizers and cocktails. Overall wouldn’t recommend a burger at this restaurant.

India Lindsay: Lovely restaurant. Dined here with a friend. It’s a beautiful space. We loved the open air, French bistro atmosphere. The decorations are cute and have a classy Versailles theme. Food was yummy! It’s a bit of a French fusion. We ordered the champ burger, zingy wings, and the cauliflower. All were delicious. The cauliflower was our favorite. A very fun and creative pairing of roasted cauliflower with a hoisin/ginger based sauce and pickles, jalapeños, and a soft tart cheese. Menu is creative enough that I would love to come again and try out a completely new flavor.

Dana “DS” S: I almost hesitate to write this because this is the kind of place you want to keep all to yourself! It’s beautiful, the food is amazing, and the customer service was fantastic. I highly highly recommend!

Jeff Wilson: Primrose is a FIRST CLASS RESTAURANT!!! John-Lee was so polite and engaging! Sebastian was also making sure that everything went smoothly — the whole wait staff is sooooo accommodating! Fantastic outdoor seating that is comfortable and surrounded by plants (see photos). Everything we ordered was excellent — Bronzino, Seared Scollops, Heirloom Tomatoes and Watermelon, Duck Mousse, Fried Oysters. Wine selection was also very good — we had a nice Austrian white to go with the seafood. The decorations and lighting inside are interesting and unique — the windows fold open to give a lot of fresh air. This place is expensive, but they meet your every need AND the clientele in the restaurant is sophisticated, elegant, and stylish. People travel to this hot restaurant from around the city for the first rate experience — make reservations well in advance — they are usually fully booked a week out.

Kiara C: Beautiful restaurant with wonderful service! We ordered a bottle of Le Vasche by Caprera and I had the mushroom gnocchi. The gnocchi had a strong bite to it which I think was from the cheese. I did not care much for the gnocchi but the French onion soup was AMAZING! I would definitely go back to try something else.

Lutèce.: what do users think?

Joshua Wiley: The food was amazing. Went for Valentines Day and the ambiance was spot on. Great cocktails. Interesting paired dishes. Who would have guessed that I liked cheese, honey, and ice cream together. Every details of the excellence was well thought out. It’s an intimate spot that is perfect for date night.

Fernanda Lanzagorta: A delicious culinary offer with the classic but also with innovative dishes. We enjoyed our meal very much. Plus the service and attention from Theo was outstanding. The only reason I’m giving it a 4 star is because of the hostess who wasn’t welcoming at all.

Peyton Sherwood: Went for a weekend brunch and it was such an incredible experience. Everything we had was delicious to the point we were laughing at how good it was. The staff was friendly and our server David was attentive and knowledgeable. We are excited to go back for dinner. (Also, the 22% service charge was listed on the menu so those complaining just weren’t paying attention. If you don’t want restaurant employees to be paid well just cook at home instead of sounding like a cheap a-hole in your review)

Foster Meyerson: I brought my boyfriend for his birthday, we did the chefs tasting menu. Absolutely incredible meal. Easily one of the best and most affordable Michelin starred resturants in the city. Very quaint little resturant with great atmosphere, every dish is crafted with utmost care.

Micaela O: Very cute French restaurant. Delicious brunch! Everything we ordered was delicious. If you go there for brunch I recommend you order the caramelized grapefruit, it was sooo good! We also had the ricotta toast, smoked salmon toast and duck hash. They were all good!

P Ak: Dined here twice. Once for dinner and once for brunch. If it is your first time, go to dinner first. Loved the octopus and cod. Dark chocolate dessert was great as was the focaccia. Brunch, we enjoyed the croque madam and the French toast. Mushroom hash was on a small side. Service was good each time.

Yerin C: I had a Sunday brunch there recently. The atmosphere is lovely. It has this real cozy and cute French restaurant vibe. And I don’t know if anyone else is interested but I must note that they have hand soap and cream from Aesop in their bathroom💛 I appreciate when restaurants have good bathroom soap..😂🤦🏻‍♀️ The food was simply good and loved the presentation. I want to definitely try their sweeter brunch dishes and dinner as well. I can already tell that anything will be yummy because both menus I tried were so well balanced. And!!! I love all the staff here. Everyone was so sweet. I look forward to going back soon!!

Robert Cohn: We had a great experience doing the “chefs table” prefixed menu. The food was fantastic and really great value for the price. $65/pp. They were very accommodating to my wife, who is pregnant and would substitute items she could not have. We enjoyed the cozy and upbeat atmosphere. I’d highly recommend.

Xavier Snell: Great experience at the chefs table being able to talk with the head chef and see everything being prepared. The table next to us had some dietary restrictions so they happily changed some of the dishes to accomodate them.

Marie-B CDA: My avocado "tartine" was good but expensive $13. Service was OK. The tulips on the table were very tired... Ambiant noise. There is a 22% service charge: really?

Opaline Bar and Brasserie: what do users think?

Carla Cordoves: Great customer service and delicious food. Had a really nice time eating outdoors at night - there’s enough lighting, tables have a good distance between them so you’re not constantly overhearing the other party, and the ambiance was lovely. We had the plates shown in the attached photos plus a dessert and 2 alcoholic drinks (Litchi at $11 or $12 and D’orange at $18). Total for two people: $150. Both drinks were delicious but the $18 one has a very steep price for what it is. Either way, I’d come again.

Justin Scheblein: My wife and I went here to have some drinks and had a great time! The service was awesome, a manager kept checking in with all the tables and the wait staff were great! The drinks were original and tasted awesome. We ended up ordering some food too, because it looked so good. Will definitely go back!

D. Fink: We had a great time here. Our Bartender Marlos was awesome! He can mix the best drinks and is a great guy! Thanks again for this great night with all the good drinks and the delicious food!

Marion GOFFIN: Very good food and wine.Cool outdoor !

Eduardo Paraan: I had a very high expectations of the brasserie being in a prestigious hotel brand but I was disappointed by the choice of food in the menu, which I thought was modest at best. The server however was absolutely great and definitely saved the evening from being disastrously ruined.

Andra Lyn: I visited with a guest from out of town in this lovely French-cafe style eatery housed within their hotel. The atmosphere was pleasant with a mixture of business guests and (seemingly) millenials in the know who would rather avoid the crowds at Starbucks and the like. Service was attentive and friendly. They were not skimpy with the cream and sugar for my coffee. I will gladly return when in downtown DC during the morning rush.

Harry Fang: That chicken breast was the most moist and tender breast I have ever had. Amazing! Restaurant week special.

Ana Mitchell: I traveled in for an event last weekend. Ambiance and Entree/Cocktail were great, however the Wait Staff was way too aggressive. I had a 7PM reservation, and called to share I’d be running late, but was still questioned by a Server when I arrived. I offered to sit at the Bar even though almost all of the restaurant was empty, where I was hovered over the entire time being told 2 or 3 times to order a dessert, and 3 or 4 times to order a second drink with my meal. I shared that I had an event early the next morning and declined, and then was told by a Server that I “would learn one day what it was like to work and have responsibilities..”? I suppose he judged my age off my appearance, and I shared in response that I have a full time career and a second job, to which he then stopped pushing for more orders. I felt uncomfortable throughout, payed cash and left immediately following my meal. As I was leaving, the same Server felt obligated to hand me my receipt when I already laid cash out, in an effort to attempt to protect his tip, I imagine. I tipped my usual 20%, but likely shouldn’t have given how aggressive they were throughout. I’d encourage doing research and finding a better spot, or definitely opting for the patio or a regular table.

Et Voila !: what do users think?

Ray Moreno: Wonderful lunch! I was greeted like I had just come home after a long trip…would have gotten a kiss had I not had my mask on. The beet salad with grapefruit was an amazing start and the bolognese was a perfect match with the Pinot Noir. I am not sure what took me so long to come. I will be back. Eat your heart out Le Diplomat!

Kim Darwaza: Always a great meal at Et Voila! Belgian French Restaurant in the Palisades Neighborhood of DC. The sole is buttery goodness, and I loved my Smokeypolitan which is a cosmo with Mezcal.

Mara Catherine Sippel: Outstanding cuisine and service. Outdoor seating available. Indoors has lovely ambiance. It’s more quiet after 7:30. But really it’s about the food. The cheese plate is outstanding. The beef tartare and mussels the same. Portions are enough to share. Will return undoubtedly.

P. S. Murray: Excellent food - mussels are a specialty.Outside seating. Excellent staff.I will go again.

Robert Pollock: Nice experience. I could have made a meal on the complementary french bread and sweet butter, but the mussels were absolutely amazing - picture perfect and plump. A friend enjoyed a generous portion of sole. Good atmosphere. Professional service. The waitress was gracious about a miscommunication in one entre order. Chocolate almond tart with raspberry sauce was a bit too sweet and not to my taste. Stick with the crème brule.

Besart Ç.: Loved the food and the desserts, the waffle was a highlight. Their espresso martinis were also excellent: perfect foam to drink ratio. Highly recommend this spot.

Jassett M: Had the day off so I decided to treat myself. It was worth it. Absolutely delicious. Already looking forward to my next visit to try something different.

Frank Fayer: Very impressed with this place, and I don’t say that lightly. As someone who prefers fish instead of steak for dinner, I’ve had a lot of branzino from places all over the world and this was one of the best I’ve had in my life. We also shared the mussels which of course were delicious, and the rigatoni pasta with veal and pork was perfect, worth elaborating on. The sauce has the full flavor, hearty and homey, the tomato so robust it’s popping out, but blending so well with the recipe and the softness of the pork and veal. Strong recommend for soft quiet elegant refined atmosphere, and quality food at appropriate prices.

Brasserie Liberté: what do users think?

Emily Deanne: Delicious! We went here for brunch and I had the best scrambled eggs I’ve had in a long time. They were fluffy and well seasoned. The coffee was also amazing. The home fries were crunchy and perfect. Great service. My boyfriend got the Lox Benedict and he enjoyed it as well. Overall a lovely brunch experience.

Ho Diem Tho: This is the crowded restaurant with a nice decoration. There are indoor and outdoor areas also so you can choose where you refer. The foods are nice but it is litte salty to me. I did not order drinks because the drinks are quite expensive here. The restaurant recommends 18% tips

Sahar Riccardi: I’m not sure how we stumbled onto this place but I sure am glad we did. The food was absolutely amazing. The service was incredible. They had wonderful GF options. I would definitely go back here.

Ron Milkowski: Marcelo our waiter was fabulous. All staff very attentive. The food was amazing. Highly recommend.

Jian Xu: Took half an hour to be seated even we have reservation. Don’t waste your time in busy hours. Otherwise food is decent.

Erika Washington: We sat outside and enjoyed a lovely meal in even lovelier weather. The bartender also gave great service. Every dish was well prepared and tasty. Looking forward to returning.

Yiwen Wei: Great location in Georgetown, but the food themselves are so so. The bread is hard to bite. Every cousiné is over salty. Brûlée is melted. Does not worth the price.

Shaina Z: Lovely location in beautiful George Town. Out door seating and heat lamps provided for guest who prefer to sit outside in the freezing cold. 🤦🏾‍♀️ As you walk in the restaurant the room flows into four different dinning rooms. From small to large. A very interesting layout. Very typical French decor with dark/rich colors. Service picked up after my friend showed up. I got the cold shoulder from my waitress…she didn’t think to check on me until then. (I had to order my wine through another waitress, ask questions about the menu with someone else) The chicken skin was under cooked and chewy meat. My favorite part of the night was the lemon custard pie.

Meghan Milkowski: First night in Washington DC and came across Brasserie Liberte. The wine list had a range of wine options for everyone’s tastebuds. started out with the Beet Carpaccio and for my entree I had the salad nicoise. My husband had the trout, and said it was the best trout he ever had

Ladurée: what do users think?

Kiara C: Loved everything about this place. The ambiance, the large menu selection, the drinks…everything was just fabulous! The staff is very attentive to your needs and ensuring you have a good time. I can’t wait to go back! I ordered the Croque Monsieur and the Ladurée champagne cocktail. Can’t wait to try the other items.

Nova Au: It was Saturday and the place was busy, and looked like they’re short-staffed (not sure), but I think the staff members did their best to serve us. We didn’t have to wait so long for food, and they never gave us dirty look for taking tons of pics xD

Therese Sipes: The hot chocolate is 10 out of 10 stars! The Elysee, éclair, practically every other dessert was stellar, except the “cake” - it’s chocolate loaf bread and was dry and unimpressive. Eat loaf bread at Starbucks and stick to the all-star macarons here!

Devin Boe: Exquisite (and expensive). I have only tried the pastries and confections here, but so far everything I have sampled has been phenomenal. Excellent service at the counter, and their take-away boxes are very cute and stylish. I now know why the Maison Laduree has such an outstanding reputation for their sweets and desserts! Truly world-class, but very pricey.

Fahad Aqeel: Delicious pastries and coffee. They service was a bit pushy and the wait to sit is always long.

Golden Eye: Cute overload! Cost overload as well - but worth the visit! Nice little pastries, drinks and light lunch items.

Mishal Greenwood: Service was quick and friendly! The macarons are always delicious from Laduree ♥️
