Washington Welcome Center: what do users think?

Brenda: This is an excellent gift shop! It is very neat and organized and has nearly everything you could ever want as a souvenir regarding Washington, DC. There are also a lot of great books. One little book we purchased was a bunch of quotes from Abraham Lincoln.

Jonathan French: If you love America, you’ll love this welcome center. The prices are relatively low and there are so many different USA themed items. From mini statues of some presidents to framed documents to shirts and other souvenirs, this shop has it all. I personally bought a t-shirt, a desk art piece and a hard copy of The Constitution. Total was maybe 15 dollars to 20 dollars. It does lean onto the current president (makes sense) but offers some things from older presidents, like Pro Trump memorabilia and Obama era posters and clothes. So everyone is well represented.

Janice Weikal: This place opens at 9 am - 8 pm. The opening on this site was wrong. If you are going on your I suggest you get your water here. There is a Hard Rock cafe across the street.

Stephanie Marie Hernandez: Great place for nice souvenirs at a great price point. My family and myself were there June 23rd, we stopped in after having lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe across the street. We purchased quite a few things. When we arrived back in Texas we realized we were missing 4 items. I called them immediately and spoke with Michelle, she was very friendly and helpful, she kept in contact with me until her manager was back at the place of business. I was able to talk to the manager today, I didn’t catch his name, but he help me out so much. All my items are being shipped to me now. Thank you so much for the great customer service. I will forever be appreciative of what y’all did for me! Especially Michelle. She was amazing to work with.

Janice Weikal: This place has all souvenirs you need to say you were here. The big bus tours starts here also.

AZILE NAMWOB: We were very attended by Mckenzie, Dominique, Marquis, Doug and even the Manager with a pleasant greeting to bring our checks. One of the best places we ate while visiting DC. The food was delicious (sorry for not taking photo/posting with food) great customer service, drinks were awesome!

Aimee Lim: This place offers wide variety of souvenier stuff and offers comfortable shopping experience. Big shop and not crowded. Staff/ casher was friendly and helpful. They offer shipping too. Reasonable prices.

Shawna Martin: Great gift shop and decent prices! I went twice in a three day trip.

CityCenterDC: what do users think?

Kailash Mandal: Upscale shopping plaza with almost all luxurious brands of clothing, bags, perfume and lifestyle accessories. Each shop has its unique ambience, a must explore area while shopping. There are restaurants, coffee shops and quick bites for your appetite. Parking is on street or paid parking garages. Tip- in case you shopaholic, stay in Hyatt Grand which is just on the opposite side of the street.

Anthony Steele: We went here primarily for the Christmas events and was great. The tree and lights were really good. The ice maze was really neat to walk through. Had a long line, but moved dencently and got through the line and maze in an hour.

Amarpreet Sran: Beautiful high end boutiques . You can find all the clothing brands high end jewellery and much more .You also can find some beautiful fine dine places around the alley. In the middle there is small splash pad / fountains . Kids were enjoying playing with water . There are some sitting areas as well to take some rest while shopping.

Emile Gittens: We stumbled upon here actually...lol... we got parking below and the elevator took us up to this beautiful place.... from here your adventures can start in any direction. They decorated the walkways so look up and capture it, plus top notch shopping around.

Val Z.: Convenient parking. Very well though-out spaces and designed beautifully. You just wanna spend some time here even if you’re not looking to buy anything. Reminds me of the Miami Design District.

Wei Hsu: A nice and relaxing place for people spending the whole weekend. You can do shopping here, and get some foods. They provide benches that you can take a rest here.

Surinder Dhillon Freelancer: Beautiful place see lots of interesting sights. Lots tourists comes across from the world to see beautiful sights and parks and historic buildings.

Traveling Terrezzas: So it is a small shopping alleyway if you will of high end stores, boutiques, and eats. It is super relaxing to stroll by, grab a coffee, shop or take a picture! Apparently DC updates the hanging decor by season which to me is so cool and vibrant. It makes this place a little more special. When we went, it had these sunset color tassels blowing in the wind. I thought it was going to be more crowded than what we anticipated so if you go morning, you can almost have the entire place to yourself.

Your Helpful Wendy: Gorgeous place to walk around and enjoy the beautiful weather. What are you going to find here? High end stores like Tiffany, Louis V, and more Restaurants Coffee shops And nice table area settings to relax. I also saw how little kids were playing with a water fountain super cute.

Adam Clevenger: DC is full of cheap, mass produced, tourist-trap merchandise. But Shop Made in DC is different! Unique items made by local makers and business owners adorn every shelf in this beautiful shop. Great for souvenirs and gifts.

Kahui Lim: Well organized gift shop with a great selection of candles, post cards, and other knick knacks.

Rob Ainbinder: Great store. Full of locally made goods including some great options for souvenir t-shirts, hats, and hoodies as well as a selection of locally made prints, and specialty foods.

Kelly M.: I love this shop. It’s a bit pricey but not unreasonable for locally made and unique goods. It’s absolutely the perfect place to buy gifts or DC souvenirs that aren’t tacky or cheap.

Lincoln Memorial Bookstore: what do users think?

James Walker: Walk up the stairs to view the iconic memorial, and turn to your right to enter the bookstore. You will find items for sale to include portraits, books, and souvenirs of the 16th President of the United States. Open daily from 10AM to 6PM.

Alabama OUTSIDErs: The bookstore is in one of the corners of the Memorial. It is relatively small, so pretty crowded, but packed with tons of cool souvenirs and other things. Our son got a few of the "Lego" sets of the various monuments, memorials, and buildings. They were reasonably priced for their size and uniqueness. The man working inside was extremely friendly.

David Stearns: Stephanie was absolutely incredible! Immediately friendly and helpful and able to give us Helpful information about the surrounding area and sites to see! She was wonderful

Bruce Hrabak: Classic monument at the far end of the National Mall. A must see. Also make sure you see the korea and Vietnam memorial on the way in or out. Surprisingly has a handicap accessible entrance via an elevator to get the same great views reguardless of how you get to the top. A cornerstone of American history.

Michele Geronimo: This little souvenir shop is tucked away to the right of the entrance to the Lincoln Memorial. It was crowded, so not much room to maneuver. Spent most of our time looking at he Lincoln Memorial itself and sitting on the steps to enjoy sunset. This made for a great last stop to our day of sightseeing!

Ethan Stein: Pretty decent bookstore here, it’s in the corner and very hard too see but it is set up by the National Park Service who runs the parks and mostly everything on the park property. The merchandise is official not like something you will buy at a big gift shop on a big street. Bought a decent pin one time.

Tom Danahy: Small and crowded but nicely stocked. And a friendly staff who take great pride in being inside the monument. They took the time to find a shirt my size in the back and were helpful with questions we had.

nati: Employees were very nice and they have a large selection of things to purchase!

ANDRES TORRES: Several sites to visit in good weather, it is a spectacular place a very clean city

Ness Lucas (NS): Decent place to go shopping. Looks beautiful but imo not much variety in shops for my likings

Brezy Rivas: Went for an advanced movie screening of Missing Link. Wonderful event that had face painting and balloon animals for the kids. We had a great time arriving 2 hours before the screening. Definitely recommend.

Love Lacy: Decent movie theater. Wish there were more options at the concessions. So many other theaters have food choices. This one is behind the times. It is convenient however, being connected to the metro.

Marcus Smith: Had a wonderful time with my Family, did a little shopping and site seeing, just enjoyed the time there, it was a BEAUTIFUL day, would definitely do it again.

big l.a: Enjoyed with my kids down on the water. Relaxing

Tawnie Pike: This is a beautiful.park. It is well maintained and heavily used. You have nice views of Rosslyn and the key bridge. There are so many trees with lots of shade. The seating is also great for people watching.

Monique Tate: Easy access to streets once exiting garage. The garage is old and spaces are very tight and some spaces should be closed to make turns easier instead of having to back up to get around a corner..annoying. Prices are good we parked for 3 hrs and it cost $22 not bad for this part of town.

Amesha Dunkins: Plenty of things to do, clean, & great service.

R W: Great place for a nice evening stroll.

Muniba Khan: Stopped by from out of town since the weather ended up being a lot colder than expected. We were able to find some winter wear for a reasonable price, although I wish they had a wider selection of warm coats and some gloves for these cold fronts. Everyone that helped us was super great and friendly!

Jacqueline Francis: I went with my daughter to return a sport jacket and to look around for any new items. My daughter met her former coworker who was kind enough to assist with her return. The experience painless and without incident. After the return, we made our to the children department. My daughter wanted to see if there anything new out for babies 18-24 months. There were some times, but nothing much that caught her. My grandson did grab a footsie pajama and my daughter saw a cute pair of sneakers and a tee shirt. Very cute 😍! The checkout rep was very friendly, and he was the manager. Overall, a great experince🙏🙏🙏

Union Market: what do users think?

Jennifer Trent: Fun local food hall with a few small shops. A few of the restaurants we wanted to try weren’t open when we were there, but still all found delicious things to eat. My fried shrimp tacos from The District Fishwife were great. The strawberry ice cream from The Creamery was also delicious.

Ido Simyoni: Many food options to choose from and good variety of cuisines . Went for the salmon bowl and shrimp tacos and loved it. My colleague tried the pasta place and said it was good too. Definitely will go back . Only downside was that many place were closed when we got there (Thursday - 7:15pm)

ESB NYC: This is DC‘s riff on the now somewhat common food hall and merchandise market. Since we were visiting from out of town and staying fairly close by, we were happy to find the diversity of cuisines and many reasonably priced options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are some cool features like ping-pong tables at street level and a large rooftop deck with seating. This review is as of April 20 22 and it seems like some of the stalls may still be closed due to Covid or perhaps maybe they’ve permanently closed but there is still a lot of good stuff going on, coffee, Ramen, bagels, dumplings, donuts, ice cream, Italian pastries and more… If you’re in the area or passing by, it’s definitely worth stopping in to check out.

Brianne Fischer: We visited yesterday for the first time in a long time — we were pleasantly surprised by the number of food vendors and the liveliness. We ordered Thai street food chicken Pad Thai and it was average— a little dry and too much spice on the bean sprouts. It is an entirely gluten free menu though, so I will probably try something else in the future. In general there seemed to be plenty of gluten free options indicated on each places menu which is really nice. We briefly visited Hi-Lawn which didn’t allow beverages from downstairs— while I get they are just another vendor, and they need to make money from alcohol, having to down my drink at the entrance was a downer. I would encourage Hi Lawn and Union Market to work something out to make it a more seem less experience. Finally— many places closed a bit early for a Saturday evening— so beware! We arrived just in time. We stayed for a while and could tell had more places been open they would have been patronized. See photo!

Irsan Sutanto: Went to DC many times but never came here and finally we came here on memorial day weekend. Lots of choices of food, meats, seafood and drinks. Will comeback again later. Recommended when visiting DC. Short walk from our hotel.

Kimberly Humphries: Really nice market I haven’t been in years. My mom used to take me when I was a little girl. Things have truly changed and I can appreciate it now that I’m older. Very family friendly and unique environment. I arrived early on Saturday and the vendors was preparing to open. Some vendors were already open like bagels and coffee shops. There is a lot of seating all over. The restroom was clean and not busy. I can’t wait to go back and take a nice book to read while enjoying some great food.

Brigitta Danyi: If you have plan for the day, and you don’t have time to seat down at the restaurant, this place perfect for grab and go,or have a quick lunch. Salamon burgers to po-boy, gumbo sushi cheese steaks Egyptian food bbq, smothie and sweets, all in one place. Price is good my eggplant parm. sandwich from the mozzarella bar was huge I had enough for dinner ,taste was also amazing ! And don’t forgot about the four paws they can have something delicious too.

Eastern Market: what do users think?

Ruth Bonacci: I love markets. We visited on a Tuesday afternoon. It was not too busy. We got lunch at one of the places inside the market. It is rather small compared to other markets that I have been to. I saw fresh fish, angus beef, produce, bakery, sweets, and prepared foods you could eat outside. This was a nice place to stop for lunch!

Jessica McNutt: Eastern Market is a great place to go. During the week you can go inside for high quality meat, fish, poultry, fruit, vegetables and dine-in/carry out prepared food. On the weekend, when I really love to stop by, there is an extensive farmers market with all sorts of amazing local vendors.

Amelya Sjahlim: I have been coming here two weekends in a row for the flea market. There are always new products or stalls to be found; creative art pieces, handmade jewelry, candles and bath bombs.

ivana gobbo: Beautiful place! We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the overall experience. You can find fresh veggies, fruits, fish, poultry, beef, pork, beef... They also have flowers, dessert, breakfast, lunch, crafts, art, clothes... Everybody is so nice, the architecture it’s spectacular! We went this Sunday and the weather was perfect!

Harry He: Eastern market is one of the hidden gems in DC. the crab cake at the diner is a must try. Also a perfect place for fresh meat, seafood, vegetable, and fruits. Farmers market nearby on weekends also host many local businesses with great products.

Scott Hayes: Farmers market is full of fun options from a wide variety of vendors. The many restaurants and stores also offer you the chance to pickup whatever you might need for day to day life

Chau Tran: I have great experiences shopping at Dior City Center. The Client advisor was very friendly and helpful to show me many options and give my useful tips.

Josh: The Dior Washington DC City Center staff member Miss Marika Dixon provided excellent service; was unbiased, unassuming and most importantly, kind She looked after my daughter and I as we perused the line of belts they had available on-hand. The store was well stocked when we visited. The staff was managing social distancing as much as they could as they balanced the long queue of clients waiting to enter. Thank you.

Jonathan Paik: Needed to return an item and also view several others before purchasing on an extremely busy day, Mother’s Day. Paul got us in out of the cold ahead of our appointment time and gave us expert advice and support. We happily made a purchase and will definitely be back. Thanks so much Paul and the other staff at this DC location !

A Gralto: Went here today and it was my first time in a Dior boutique on the east coast, and Marika greeted me as soon as I walked in. She was very helpful and educated on all the pieces I wanted to look at and try on. Very impressed with her customer service and it was a beautiful store!!!

Tiff Cruz: They have the best service and quality in the DC Center. Everyone is friendly even the security guard at the entrance. They had a lot of variety in comparison to Gucci and Louis near by. Ramez is the best! Knowledgeable and professional. 10/10

Joe Kim: Fei was patient, knowledgeable, and friendly. Excellent service and detail from her and Ryan. Thank you for making the visit special.
