Ghion Ethiopian Restaurant: what do users think?

Kelvin Doe: Went here and the waitress was absolutely accommodating. She basically treated us like family, and when we told her it was our first time eating Ethiopian, she gave us perfect recommendations! The food took some time but nothing unreasonable, especially considering the high quality of the dishes. The service and food quality leave nothing to be desired.

Shameer Zahid: The food was delicious! I’ve walked by the restaurant a few times and decided to give it a try, was not disappointed. All the food we tried was delivious and the injera was awesome! The portion size is pretty big too and their big plates can definitely be split between 2 people (maybe even 3).

rowan mentzer: My friend and I went to eat here before going to a show at the 9:30 Club, and I am so glad we did! The food was delicious, and the staff were all super nice and helpful. This food was honestly the highlight of our trip!!

Mandi Carr: Absolutely delicious! Great service and delicious, colorful food. Ordered the veggie platter and it was more than enough for two people. Highly recommend.

Lara Stunkel: The food was just absolutely amazing!! Our family shared a meat and veggie combo, with fish stew and shiro (chickpeas), and we stuffed ourselves and still had food to take home.

John Jagos: Hole in the wall but food is absolutely wonderful. Our server was a sweetheart. I highly recommend this place.

Hannah Brown: Fantastic little hole-in-the- wall place with great food. My boyfriend and I went on a lunch date here, and had the entire place to ourselves. The waitress was friendly, and let us take our time looking at the menu, and after we finished eating. Our food came quickly, and was delicious. The portions were large, and the prices were relatively competitive for the D.C. area. It was the perfect place to satisfy my craving for good Ethiopian food!

Glo Lalibela Ethiopian Restaurant: what do users think?

Lamont Mckinnon: This seems to be a local Ethiopian eatery where a lot of Ethiopians come to socialize. It was amazing sitting and watching them interact with each other as the come and go like family. I basically had a Vegetarian meal with injera and a samosa. The food was well seasoned and great as it should be cooked by Ethiopians. My server was very nice and attentive. I would definitely go back!!!

Michael “Newmie” Newman: Great little hidden-gem on 7th St NW serving delish Ethiopian fare! The owner, Taye, runs an immaculate restaurant that used to be in Arlington. I do vegetarian after my gym workouts, and GLO never fails with a delightful to-go box including traditional bread (and plastic-ware/napkins). One one sit-down occasion, i brought my Nigerian brother in law visiting from Dallas, and he loved the African authenticity! Lentils, potatoes, and other veggies so very flavorful and in large proportions for good value. The waitresses are stunningly-sweet ladies, friendly with a smile, and will assist you patiently with making the ordering simple. Large screen TVs show various sports and entertainment from around the world. The dining room is a bit under lit, so best to choose the table by the window overlooking the busting sidewalk. *Highly recommended for trying your first experience with East African cuisine!*

Bhumika Saivamani: Amazing food and customer service! They have Ethiopian wine and beers as well. This place is open late (until 1 am on weekends) which is definitely a plus).

Sarah Cross: Best Ethiopian food in the US. I sat at the bar and a regular patron ordered food for me. I ate spicy lamb, with sides of red and yellow lentils, washed down with an Ethiopian beer. If I lived in DC I’d eat there weekly.

Laura O'Melia: So good. We didn’t know what to order so when the owner came by to say hi and see how we were doing, we told him this was out first time to eat Ethiopian. He took our menus and said he would take care of us. We trusted him and were not disappointed.

Nina Woythaler: Insanely good, great vegan options, authentic, and super friendly staff!

Nasir Fazal: Amazing pancake on a plate where all the food is laid out! Strange though the pancake is cold Ethiopian style. Lovely atmosphere!

Chercher Ethiopian Restaurant & Mart: what do users think?

Suradee Thongkiattikul: Great place for lunch. We had three people and ordered a deluxe that came with everything ($40) and it was enough for us to share. You can always ask for more injera since it initially comes with three rolled up. The service was great and the ladies that served us were super friendly and welcoming. She saw me standing outside in the cold while waiting for my friends to arrive and she told me that I should come in and wait inside where it’s warm. I’ve been to many Ethiopian restaurants and they usually serve it on a large round platter, but because we had one friend who had dietary restrictions, they were nice enough to separate the mesh from the rest (I’ve attached pictures). Overall a great place to check out and try out for lunch.

sparrowmedrama: What a nice experience with Ethiopian food. The beef was amazingly seasoned and cooked. The vegan special was great for all the different tastes. The inerja bread is definitely an acquired taste. Service was very friendly and helpful. Overall, dinner was exceptional and would return to try different dishes.

Anthony S: What a great little spot for Ethiopian food! Flavours are on point and portion size is generous. Don’t miss this one if you’re around this neighborhood For more great travel eats, check out and follow me @instantonium on Instagram

Ivysfoodcorner: Our first time running into exotic food, and turns out its scoring a goal! You can smell the herbs once you’re stepping your foot in, even if you’re wearing a mask, you already can imagine the deliciousness, yuum 😋! We’re there al lil bit after lunch time, so the indoor dining was still has some crowd which is good because you can sneak on other’s meal. We order platters version, so next time we know what to get! CherCher Vegan Special - Deluxe, 10 dishes of vegetable mix with herbs. I love everything, especially the beets, the salad, the fosolia be carote, the lentils come in two version with different mix of herbs, the collards, the cabbage, and the chickpeas. All are healthy delicious mix in one plate, served with injera bread. CherCher Beef Special Tibs Strips of tender meat, with exotic herbs. This is a must have if you love meat, you can taste the juicyness in herbs mixture, also the grill taste. Eat only the meat or wrap with the bread or maximize with mix of everything from the vegan special, super yuuum 😋. Only by tasting them, you know the level of super yuuum 😋 The restrooms cleanliness check is important! It’s spacious that can fit for mom and running around toddler, it’s clean enough especially between busy lunch time though, there’s paper towel holder is empty inside the restrooms, but there’s another hand washing area by the restrooms entry. We are expected to enjoy the meal with our fingers to maximize the goodness delivered, and no cutleries prepared on the table, maybe you can ask for it, but almost nobody using them, at least that afternoon. Overall both platers are delicious, next time we know better which to order.

Winnie Xu: Yum! Came here on the weekend at 1pm and there was no wait. They have a cute little back patio. Prices are ~$20 a platter but honestly. That’s enough for 2. We ordered the vegan special and the 50/50 tibbs and it was absolutely amazing. Way too much food for 2 people but we are strong 💪🏼

Anthony Stewart: The best Ethiopian food I’ve had in a long while! Service was fast, friendly, and courteous. I forgot my mask and asked them for an extra one which they quickly and kindly provided. The prices are great, the portions are generous and the taste is simply amazing. The space is not large, but that’s okay as they are not pretentious at all and the quaintness adds a bit of authenticity. I cannot wait to go back! This will be my go-to Ethiopian spot during my time in the district! ❤️ 🇪🇹 🍲 🥘

Fiorella Hidalgo: Went all the way to DC to get Ethiopian food since I discovered they made it to the Michelin Bib Gourmand 2021! I had food from the Bethesda location, but the flavors cannot be compared to this one. My boyfriend and I shared the CherCher Vegan Platter (Special with all the servings) and the Fish Dullet (Tuna fish) because I’m pescatarian. If you like sweet alcoholic drinks, their honey infused white wine is delicious (and very tricky hahah!). Even on Wednesday night, it was super busy and we had to wait a little bit longer than we would have liked for the extra portion of injera to finish our meal; I felt sorry because there were only 2 servers taking care of a full house and all the delivery orders! I promise the food is so delicious, the wait is worth it!

Steph D: My friend and I ordered the Chercher Vegan Special and the Chercher Beef Special Tibs. It was way more than enough for two people and extremely filling. I left the restaurant feeling very full. The food was delicious and the beef was flavourful and very tasty. The prices were a bit more on the expensive side though.

Dukem Ethiopian Restaurant: what do users think?

Leah Kellenberger: Food is always amazing here. Great selection of food as well as drinks. Got to try Ethiopian honey wine for the first time! Service was quick and it’s a great location, take a little walk on U St afterwards. Super reasonable prices as well. Highly recommend.

Nils Hünerfürst: I tried so many Ethiopian Restaurants and Dukem is one of the best! Deluxe Veggie is the ultimate experience.

Sridhar Sampath: Nice Ethiopian food good service! The Ethiopian beer Negus was good as well!!

Ross Martin: We stopped in for a late dinner after catching a show at The Kennedy Center. Totally worth the 15 minute drive. It wasn’t at all busy, but should be. They accommodated our vegan needs with a wonderful spread of cabbage, lentils, spicy potatoes, and chickpeas. Yum!

David Wu: First time ever trying Ethiopian food! Was pleasantly surprised by the food! The meat we had was cooked perfectly and delicious. The wrap and some of the veggie dishes were a bit sour for my taste but still quite good!

Letena Ethiopian Restaurant: what do users think?

Jenna Peterson: Best Ethiopian in DC. I write this having made the rounds. Fresh. Flavorful. Well seasoned. Plentiful. My advice: start with the broccoli & avocado salad & lentil samosas. Finish with the veggie sampler with a side of beef stew. Collard greens and mushrooms are the standout in my opinion. Great vibe. Good beer options. Super friendly staff. Have opinions; Will share

Kyle Dorough: This was my first time trying Ethiopian food. Taste and presentation were great! Service was patient and friendly, but a little slow. Definitely worth a visit.

Lindsay Rogan: Delicious food, beautiful dish presentation, cute atmosphere, friendly staff, decent prices. Total win! (One point of feedback is that they plated the delicious cubed meat tibs in the middle of the veggies which was fine for us but for some vegetarians I could see them being off put by this so I recommend asking for the meat to be plated separately if you have a strict vegetarian.)

Solome Tesemma: Not only was the food exquisite, but the atmosphere was amazing. Everything from the service to the interior design of the restaurant is top notch. I’ve been to many Ethiopian restaurants in the DMV area but I can’t compare them to the food that we had tonight. It was amazing.

Heleen Raes: I had my first experience with Ethiopian food here and loved it. The staff was very friendly and happy to explain everything. My party ordered a meat dish and the vegetable sampler and we couldn’t finish all of it, it was so tasty but also very filling. The prices are also low for DC, but you truly get amazing dishes!

Hibbert Esquire: Great atmosphere, lovely staff, and salivating food!!! We will surely revisit on our next trip from NY!

Charles Ho: One of the best Ethiopian food I had. The lamb tip was great. Juicy, tender and a bit spicy. I recommend eating with the jalapeno. For the meat sampler, the chicken was a huge letdown. The tomato sauce is too overpowering. I prefer the injera over rice for my meal. The tea was full of spices, taste like chai to me. The place is small but cozy

Callie Phelps: Had to wait quite a long time for our food, but it was TASTY. This was my first time eating Ethiopian food: everything came on one large platter that we shared and you eat everything with the sponge-like tortilla bread - injera. It was a fun experience!

Buff Maniscalco: One of my favorite places in a city filled with amazing restaurants. One draw back is that Washington does not allow raw beef, so the kitfo is lightly cooked. But it is also spiced to perfection.

Ruth Bonacci: This restaurant is fabulous! We started by ordering an appetizer called Lentils Sambusa. It was a little turnover with a great sauce on the side. My husband and I ordered one for each of us. Then, we ordered two main dishes and four vegetable sides. They were all served on one platter over injera. We also got injera on the side. Injera is crepe-like flatbread. You do not use silverware to eat from the platter. Instead, you tear off bits of injera and wrap it around small bites taken from the platter. For our main dishes we ordered Goden Tibs (fried short ribs) and Key Wot (spicy beef stew). Then we also ordered four vegetable sides: Ater (yellow lentils), Mesir (spicy red lentils), Gomen (spicy collard greens), and some beet mixture. We loved everything we ordered and we were quite full at the end of our meal. This is is tasty and different dining experience. Think of spicy as something flavorful like cardamon and ginger and not overly hot. The bill was quite reasonable. I would come back here if I ever come back to Washington D.C. again.

Ethan Bassford: A delicious and abundant meal, not a bad wait even at peak time on a Saturday. Best meats were kitfo and derek tibs, best vegetables were red lentils and yellow lentils. Also loved the sambusas, flavorful and wonderfully crispy. When I go to DC, Ethiopian is what I want to eat, and this place hit all the spots.

kip: This place is bussin bussin. Went on my birthday and I got free food. I am now mad thick of food and I will be rolling home full of some top notch food. This food is great for sustaining a happy mood. I also had sprite with my food. 5 stars

Chiara: Delightful! I came on a weekday late at night and had no trouble getting a table. I tried to come on a Saturday night before and it was WAY too busy- so try to either get a reservation or come on the weekdays. For an appetizer, I ordered a sambusa- which was perfectly crisp and the lentils inside were so flavorful- great herbs and a slight hint of spice. I actually thought it was meat at first. It comes with a very tasty sauce that I could’ve eaten everything with! I would’ve been just fine eating like 3 of those for my meal because they were so good. I also ordered their Ethiopian Habesha gold pale ale lager which paired perfectly with the sambusa. For an entree, I got the lamb derek tibs which came with injera (fermented tangy spongy flatbread) and two veggie choices. I chose the chickpeas and the split peas and enjoyed them. It was surprisingly filling- I could only eat half the portion! FYI- they don’t supply utensils- but that’s all part of the experience! You use your hands and the injera to pick up and eat your meal. Overall- a fun and tasty meal. :)

Matt Monarch: I’m not the first white guy to fill myself up like an injera balloon and sweat through a dish the majority of the world considers mild, and I will not be the last. I’m also not an Ethiopian food expert, but I’ve had it a few times and this was probably the best. The vegetarian sampler for two was really good. Of the seven items included I only didn’t care for one of them, and that was primarily because it was too spicy for me (which means fine for most everyone else). We probably would have been fine with the “for one” version of the sampler given the app and lamb entree we added. Both of those were good, but nothing special. All of the injera we got was great.

Nils Hünerfürst: Ethiopic is by far one of the best Ethiopian Restaurant in DC. The order process is 100 % digital so don’t forget your phone. For vegetarians is a lot to eat here and my Kids also had a lot of fun to try every different flavour. I would recommend to eat one vegetarian platter for three people.

DJ Gino Wilson: Very professional and very delicious. I was greeted inside and led to a table. Staff member assisted me in ordering which is done completely at the table. Bread was brought to the table and not long after a sizzlingmeal appeared. Very delicious with a beautiful presentation. Awesome.

Naomi Leonard: I had a chicken dish which was very tasty. Seasoned perfectly with the right amount of spice. The bread was very good as well

Shahab Afshar: It was my first experience with Ethiopian food and I loved it. Bothe deset and main course was very delicious. Highly recommend this place.

Sena Seged: I really loved the vibe of this restaurant. Inside it’s very modern and Americanized, but they did a good job maintaining the culture aspect with the food and background music. We ordered the Lamb Tibs with the Special Kitfo. The food did not disappointment! Highly recommend to anyone in the DC area.

Mica Ann: This is my first time trying Ethiopian food and I enjoyed it. I was surprise not to see utensils at first but our waitress explained to us how to order and how to eat. She is extremely courteous and took her time with us in spite of the fact that she is the only one serving both indoor and outdoor dining. She’s a superwoman! I truly admire her. Anyway, we ordered some samosas for appetizer and we ordered both meat and vegetarian sampler to try. We also ordered another meat entree. We are a party of four and not too hungry but we killed it!

Vidhi Nangia: Great food but I didn’t feel like I was eating anything exceptionally unique. This gives very much comfort food vibes, which is not a bad thing at all I was just expecting something different. I would probably come back to try some different dishes. The one thing I recommend definitely getting is the mushroom appetizer. Also, the injera was so soft and had the right tartness to it. Eating with your hands is a much more enjoyable experience.

Natalia Suska: What a cool experience! Highly recommended going with a group so everyone can get a meal each to share, and to try as many things as possible. The staff is super kind and helpful. And the food was bomb! We also got the honey wine which was super tasty.

BA R: Lovely Ethiopian restaurant in Georgetown. Sat outside on a Saturday afternoon. Delicious food. The towel looking crepes were used to eat our food was tasty. Enjoyed the authenticity of the restaurant.

JesusChristisLord GodIsGood: Nice food. Friendly service. A new way to enjoy good fish and beef.

Rebecca Rogers: Das Ethiopian is by far my fav Ethiopian in DC! As a vegan, there are plenty of great options. I’ve been at least 3 times now and it has never disappointed! Would highly recommend.

RJ Smith: Great food and atmosphere. Definitely worth a trip for a quick night out. With their many delicious and filling veggie options we were able to sample around the menu a bit and get a good sense of everything while catering to my party’s plant based preferences.

Tg: I was rooming round in DC and saw this restaurant so we decided to go dine in, the very welcoming server made eye contact and showed us our table gave menu, come back to take our order also suggested that I should try sautéed Lamb onions, tomatoes and potato wedges with Engera or freshly backed bread I took the suggestion order Lamb. While waiting for my food I turned to see dine areas the atmosphere was great, the Lamb was cooked Beautifully and the portion was large so I asked to go parcel, definitely I would suggest this restaurant and when I go back DC I would love to visit the restaurant again.

Tsenu Ashna: Nice place.Beautiful place.from the good cofee ceremony at 5 to dinner its perfect Ethiopian place. I love the dry special tibs and the vegi combo. Good smell and clean restroom. I can see 5 sance in good treatment. Clean place, smell good, test good, and hear good music.

Miguel Curiel: Delicious Ethiopian food at an extremely affordable price, cannot recommend it enough! As the name suggests, it is family owned, which contributes to the place’s homely feeling. This was my first time trying Ethiopian food, the waiter guided us through it and absolutely loved everything we tried - especially recommend the mixed meat dish, ideal for sharing.

Bree T: One of my top 5 meals out, ever! The food was incredible -- so flavorful and authentic. I LOVED the Injera bread and the style of eating! The staff was kind and helpful - the owner even came over to speak with us and speak to our baby. This is a DC gem! 10/10! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

LoMo: Hands. Down. Best. Ethiopian. Food. Ever! Food is aromatic and will make you salivate upon entry! It was such a pleasure to be served by the talented Chef Seferash! She was extremely hospitable and kind, despite being short-staffed. If you’re in DC, you MUST visit this place! We ordered the Family Meat & Veggie Combo, Veggie Spring Rolls, and Fosolia. Stop by and see what you’re missing!

Amanda Barba: Amazing service and food at Family Ethiopian Restaurant! It is quite an experience as a their meals are not enjoyed with utensils, rather with bread that you grab the protein and vegetables with. The staff was amazing and I highly recommend Family Ethiopian Resturant!

Abby Fasehun: Myself and my partner loved our experience here. The food was okay, and very inexpensive; but I would say the customer service was the best part of our experience; really great people. Oh I loved the atmosphere too. Will definitely stop by again.

Jennifer Liang: Amazing food and dining experience! Very homely restaurant and the staff were very kind! Tried the honey wine and was in love; also would recommend the family special to share with another. Would return again if possible!

Zachary Reshovsky: Have ordered here multiple times - all online. Really great place! Wonderful combination of nutritious food and high caloric intake. Would strongly recommend!

Devry Jones: This is a great neighborhood Ethiopian restaurant. Whenever friends visit from out of town and want Ethiopian, this is our first suggestion. There’s a nice small-town feel to the establishment.

Frederick F: Got food to take out... The portions were very generous... The food was excellent! Definitely recommended!

Jasmin Hollywood: Their vegetarian platter was awesome and totally hit the spot. The waitress was very tentative and friendly. I heard they have live music some nights and I am very excited to go there again. Next time i will have to bring a friend or my mom would definitely enjoy the atmosphere .

Jessica Sojorne Libere: Not only great food, but a wonderful service. I was picking up food to take to a friend who was having a rough time. The portions were incredible - we each got two meals from one meat platter (for 2). The owner is really patient and kind. All that plus yummy food, what else can you want?!

Daniel Woldorff: It was SO good. Some of the tastiest Ethiopian I’ve had. We ordered a veggie sampler and a meat sampler with beef tibs, lamb tibs and doro wat, plus some kitfo. I wish the injera was a little more sour (my girlfriend thought it was perfect), but overall the food was very good. Also the staff were super nice.

Ephrem Paulos: Food is delicious, staff are very friendly. Highly recommend!

Ethan Ableman: Came for lunch on a Sunday and the place was empty. Vegetarian platter was delicious and plenty of food to split for two. Owners are very kind and super helpful. Definitely give it a try!

Tyrell Lloyd: This place is a charming restaurant that is family owned, serving delicious traditional Ethiopian food. Everything being freshly cooked, this place is certainly a must for everyone who loves to experience authentic Ethiopian food. I highly recommend visiting this place and to check it out. They also have a store next door with local products and goods.

Aman Tefera: If you didn’t try this place, then you’re missing out! The most amazing delicious food and service.❤️❤️❤️😋😋😋out of this world!!!# KUNAMA # 🇪🇷❤️🇪🇹

Claire Kilimangi: Very delicious and flavorful food. Got the tomato salad, the special vegetarian combo, and the lamb awazi. I highly recommend this place for authentic Ethiopian food. The price was also decent.

Ryx T: Exceptional food with great portions and flavour. Takeout travels exceptionally well and is packaged with care. The restaurant took great care to ensure that our dietary restrictions were met. Highly recommended! We ordered: -Special vegetarian combo -kitfo/tibs combo -ethiopian injera The kitfo and tibs were cooked perfectly to order, each with very distinct but equally amazing tastes! The vegetarian sampling was all delicious and went amazingly both individually and in the same bite! Note that these combos come with (awesome) house injera, and you can also buy delicious imported injera! Both are fluffy and tender, with slightly different flavor profiles. Delicious!

Susan Yousuf: Spice 10/10! Hospitality 10/10! Portions 10/10! Seasoning 10/10! Injera 10/10!Meaza has been our favorite Ethiopian restaurant since it opened! Enjoy it fresh in house in their cozy and cute dining space, or call-in for quick takeout.

Nazret Ethiopian Restaurant: what do users think?

Gil C: Amazingly delicious Ethiopian food! Decor is superb. Server was very kind and helpful. Menu was a bit confusing but they helped us understand it. One of our items was sold out after we ordered so the chef gave us a salad on the house - very much appreciated! Then we started to dig in for the main course, ch r came out and asked how it was and that made it even better. Very good quality food and attention to detail is superb. You really feel they care about you here. Thanks!

Jack Nemceff II: Exceptional. VIP platter, raw beef, and Ethiopian beer. Full bar service. Owner is super friendly and happy to welcome new diners. Server was also super nice, helpful to explain cultural customs, and attentive. A “hidden gem” (literally tucked off street). Would rank Nazaret among top Ethiopian places in DC/NOVA area. Worth the trip. Will return.

Amanda Giles: We went as a group of four and all loved our experience. The owner/chef introduced himself and checked in with us multiple times. Our waitress was so friendly and helpful. It was our first experience with Ethiopian food and we weren’t sure what to expect. We had all our entrees on a large platter. Everything tasted phenomenal. So fresh and flavorful. I recommend the saint george’s beer which is an Ethiopian beer, if you like light beers. We finished the night with a macchiato coffee that was smooth and perfect. The prices were very reasonable. We will definitely go back!

T Parker: I love this place since my wife introduced me to Chef Endalk years ago. His cuisine is top notch and has “never” disappointed me. “Presidential meal status”, exquisite authentic Ethiopian Cuisine, and an atmosphere that has always been welcoming to everyone! He takes the time to “know his customers” and is often seen visiting the tables to talk to them. Everything is “succulent” and I mean EVERYTHING! I highly recommend Nazet Ethiopian Restaurant to anyone visiting Northern Virginia. If you’ve never had Ethiopian food, this should be your first stop. You won’t be disappointed.

Michelle La Plante: We love Nazret! Not only is the food fantastic, but the service really makes you feel like family. The whole place has a welcoming, warm vibe. You can tell the owner and family who run it view “food as love” and they are ready to embrace you! Don’t think twice- it’s located in kind of in an awkward spot in a strip mall but once inside, you hear the music, smell the spices, and feel the love! I can’t wait to go back!

Jennifer White: The food was delicious! The place was packed, but we still didn’t wait to be seated. The owner took our orders and answered any questions we had about the menu. He was very friendly and attentive to everyone at the restaurant. We will definitely return.

Ronald Maniece II: This was truly the best Ethiopian food I have ever had. I have tried over 10 different Ethiopian restaurants in the DMV, and this one remains supreme. They have great portion sizes, and you definitely get what you paid for. Never disappointed by the food or the service. Have yet to dine in, but the atmosphere is welcoming. 10/10 would recommend.

Edward Amartey-Tagoe: One of the only Ethiopian restaurant I have been to where they offered me options of authentic Njera made/imported from Ethiopia. It tastes different from the Njera made here. Staff was very friendly and our order didn’t take long. Enough parking available.

Thompson: Food is super delicious, service was great and arrived pretty quickly without much waiting!!We have been to couple of other Ethiopian restaurants within the same vicinity but none of them were not even close to Nazret in terms of quality and cleanliness! Please keep up the good work!

Nile Restaurant and Market: what do users think?

Youthika Chauhan: Compared to other Ethiopian restaurants, the quantity was slightly less here. Normally, a vegetarian sampler/platter is enough for me and my husband, but here we had to order two. When we ordered the second time, we were served a larger sample size. The food tastes great. Slightly relaxed and laid back ambience.

Benjammin': Very good service and love the pictures of Ethiopia and proud Ethiopians (e.g. the King of Ethiopia and H. Gebrselassie) on the walls. Great experience for a Sunday evening tète-à-tète. We had the place to ourselves at around 5 pm and really enjoyed ourselves.

Lee-Ellen Macon: Delicious food. Friendly people, both staff and locals.. Good prices. I was very welcomed, though a different ethnicity. Nice collection of Ethiopian artifacts. I can see why Ethiopian food is the rage! Seemed very authentic food:. I had a lamb dish with a side. Live far away but want to return! Wow! (Visited two Saturdays ago.)

M o: Reminded me of the food I grew up with. Very delicious and filling. The staff was great and to top it off I was able to buy some ingredients to make my own from their market next door.

Zee Sudah: Love the Veggie #2 w/fish.

Merid Kebede: Very friendly and great Tibbs. I meet great people.they have all you can eat (lunch) weekdays. Serve beer wine and sprite with fair price. Love it. I will go to this place again. The manager (I think he is the owner) great guy.go & check it out. U will love it.

awol Fedlu: Excellent customer service with Ethiopian indigenous habsha cloths and making clothes according to customer size also we have Ethiopian food items, spices, delicious.”shinte”for Tibse and amazing raw meat(kurte)and kitfo meat fair and affordable price I will recomend every body to visits this wonderful market.

Shewa Ethiopian Carry Out: what do users think?

Anastasia Abbruscato: This place is so quaint and wonderful! Food is delicious and service is excellent! Place is clean and not too busy! We had the Tibs Lega and the Meat Combo! 👨🏻‍🍳💋

c banks: The food is VERY delicious! Today is my second time ordering this week. The woman who served me (I believe), the owner is very sweet. The food is filling (as she warned me) lol. I ordered the veggie platter on both occasions. The service and food is great- 5 stars! The only thing I do dislike (out of her control) is the area. There are frequent loiters outside near the restaurants building. I recieved a lot of constant and burdensome chatter coming from the men who were outside; & that was quite annoying (while heading inside to order my food and leaving out). Again, out of her control..

Rochelle: Just discovered this place after growing tired of my regular Ethiopian spot near me. The food here is GREAT. A lot more flavor, larger portions, and just better overall. Will definitely be ordering here more often!

Arthur Sidney: The Ethiopian food here is fresh and flavorful. The portions are great and the service is friendly. This is my second time patronizing this establishment and I’ve not been disappointed yet. If you like spicy food, they will make your dishes with extra kick. Delicious!

Onyi O.: This place is great. Owner is kind, huge portions (especially compared to other pricier spots). I got the veggie platter and it was bomb!

Shasun Sulur: The service is great! I am always welcomed and treated like family. I have only tried their vegetarian platter but it never disappoints! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and served in large quantities for a reasonable price! Its my favorite neighborhood spot!

Daniel Davis: I loved my Veggie Combo 😊

Enjera Restaurant: what do users think?

Eean Levin: We cannot say enough good things About our feast at this restaurant. Neither of us had ever had this type of cuisine before and left absolute lovers of Ethiopian cuisine. We loved it so much we intend to find it back in Arizona and a and learn to make it ourselves. Do yourself a favor and just go, you will not be disappointed.

Adriana Rakshana: Really great portion sizes and incredible flavors! Great place to get your Ethiopian food kick! We had the meat lovers combo for 2 and were able to share it between 3 people! Also got the lentil sambusa (comes w 2 pieces per order). As you can see in the pictures, we left the plate completely clean.

Lynisha Smith: First time at this restaurant and eating Ethiopian food. I was certainly hungry and I eat mostly meat. The waitress recommended the meat lovers to include her favorite dish as well. This dish was sooooo delicious. I ate the whole platter!!!! There was a small salad and egg which was great!

Zach Danz: We had the most INCREDIBLE experience here! I couldn’t get enough. The only criticism I have of this place is that the food is so good, and there’s so much of it, that it’s almost impossible NOT to end up in a food coma! For real though, if you’ve never had Ethiopian food, give it a try. Enjera is also very reasonably priced.

Samson Williams: The Derek tips are elite! Flew into DCA and would typically go to Zenebek in Adams Morgan. But instead, risked it and picked a new place, Enjera. What a beautiful risk. The Salad was actually the sleeper item. Not expecting much from salad whatever dressing they use in it is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Followed by the red lentils, green beans and then cabbage. Everything was exceptionally tasty. Will make this part of my DCA airport tradition.

Erick Liu: Can’t miss an opportunity to have Ethiopian cuisine! If you’re unsure what to get, I’d definitely go for the veggie or meat lovers combos. You get a variety of different stews. Large portions, the combos for two can feed three.

Aks S: We went for dinner a bit later at night, and the place was still busy! We were quickly seated by the server. As we had not had Ethiopian food in a really long time, our servee helped us pick items from the menu. We got the meat combo. The food was so delicious, the flatbread was so good, sour and soft at the same time. It worked really well with the meat flavours. Huge portions!!

Bete Ethiopian Cuisine & Cafe: what do users think?

Galen Oettel: Delicious food and friendly staff. Our waiter was very attentive. Entrees are ideal size to share with a date. The amount of injera bread that comes is generous, you won’t leave here hungry! Will definitely come back to support this local establishment.

Jason Zahn: Group of four having our first Ethiopian dining experience on a Saturday evening. Nice spring day and got a free parking spot right out front. We took one of their outdoor deck tables (not much to see other than a giant parking garage), and the water arrived instantly to give us paper menus (sorry apparently only took a picture of one side of the two) and took drink orders. He was very friendly, explained everything to us (nothing too exciting other than no utensils and eat using the bread), and checked in often to see what we needed. Drinks and food were quickly delivered (but no pressure to finish quickly). They had some local wine and bottles of Ethiopian beer. Food was beautifully presented, is more filling than you may initially expect (we had a container full of leftovers), great spices without being too heated, and a wide variety for communal sharing. We were all pleased and had a great dinner.

Jorge Pacheco Santiago: Great food and great flavors. The chef even came out and asked how the food was. Wish they had more drink/juice choices but it didn’t affect the review at all. Would highly recommend!

meskerem taddesse: Amazing service food was perfect. I highly recommended this place for anyone looking for an authentic Ethiopian food experience. Hands down the best yet in DMV area

Rhitajit Sarkar: Have been to this place many times, now taking pickups. No wonder this simple family-run place has been featured in the Washington Post, although taking a beating due to current covid-19 situation. The humble hosts and the cooks are gems of this place. The tibs and kitfo are a must for meat lovers. There is a variety of veggies option as well. Truly served with love and care. I absolutely love it.

Dawn Horton: The vegetarian platter was delicious and came out very quickly. Everything was flavorful and anyone could handle the spice level
