Ronda Bernstein: When you need specific office supplies quickly, you need an office supply store. Thank goodness Staples still exists. The staff here were very friendly and helped me find exactly what I was looking for. I still bought the wrong thing but it was close enough. Plus that is what returns are for.

Neil Schwartz: Getting here with parking is a tiny challenge. You can only come in one way on Bradley and then you have to find parking in a garage. Other than that, everything else is fine. People are helpful if you ask them questions. Good stock of stuff. Parking is free inside of an hour I think.

Marvin Morales: This day I visited the store to print some copies and the person who is in the copies department was very attentive with their help. Unfortunately I had a question with another UPS issue and I was waiting for the person to come back to ask the question and never went back to their place. I think he was probably busy with other tasks. But something I didn't like was. I took the time to look for another member of the store for the information that I needed and he did not know and neither did I take an interest in going to ask or trying to communicate with someone to help me. He kept on what he was. For me that is wrong, I think that if an employee does not know at least he should go and ask so that someone else can help you. Hopefully the store manager will take the time to better train his employees so that other people do not go through this situation.

Mintesinot Asfaw: printing and marketing department has a wonderful customer service. The guy working there his name is Mohamed he is really awesome. He is very helpful and patient. I went this location to print a business cards and I did the design and wrote all the contents but after I ordered I saw there is an error on the business card sample and I did this couple of times. Then he canceled the order and help me to correct the errors and reorder it.he Checked every step until the quality work is done. I am sure I will go this location again and definitely recommend this place to a friend. Excellent job Mohamed.👏

Robin Thomas: I've lived a stone's throw from this Staples for several years. On the one hand, I think they're trying really hard to address the negative reviews. The employees seem friendlier and more helpful. The store is clean and well-organized (although it seems like on any given day a third of the demo computers aren't working). On the other hand, I think Staples as a corporation is having an uphill battle and it shows here. I balked at this store's price of plain brown document envelopes and walked next door to CVS where they were half the cost. Pretty much everything here is terribly overpriced. I don't think that's the fault of the employees -- I think headquarters has to raise prices to stay afloat as they compete with Amazon. I generally only go here to drop off UPS packages, or if I really need some specific office supplies in a pinch. If it's one of the more common office supplies, I'll definitely check CVS first.

Brian Allen: This is a review of using UPS services at Staples in general, not this Staples specifically (I shipped from this Staples). Staples corporate customer service, where I ended up, is friendly and helpful. But if you have a problem with shipping a package, such as damage, you will be caught in a corporate runaround because your business relationship is with the company (Staples) that didn't actually ship your package. The complaint process took months, and in the end, UPS didn't honor my insurance coverage on the package and threw my remaining undamaged contents in the trash without contacting me (the shipper). And UPS wouldn't deal with me directly because I shipped through Staples. I will not ship UPS through Staples again. Any convenience is not worth this hassle.

Dana Derani: I went there on Saturday July 23rd, 2016 to print to 1 colored page. I swiped my credit card and suddenly the machine got jammed. i went to the ONLY technical support guy for printing and he was with another customer. I asked him whether there was something wrong with the machine and the answer was: Ma'am, the machines is new. It can't be jammed! So of course I feel stupid and I return to the machine that kept being jammed for 15 minutes. another nice guy from the sales comes and I ask him for help as I was desperate to leave at that time and was concerned that the machine now has detected my credit card and any other user can come after me and charge their services to my account that was still jammed! anyway, after many failing trials, the technician comes to help and reboots it and assures me that the job has been canceled. I see today that staples cut 5 USD from my card that day for a business that I never received and for keeping me waiting for over 15 minutes and for making me feel stupid. the worst customer service ever, they took my money and I honesty feel horrible that I ever stepped into that place.

Scott Klempner: I ordered large format glossy prints online for a church event. My job was completed within an hour or two, and I was very happy with the quality. There is a very large price jump between standard prints (11" wide) and poster prints (anything larger), and so I would have liked to print larger than 11" but did not because of price.

Jasmine McGee: I needed a copy of something that was larger than a normal size paper. Right away the sales associate helped me get my copy. As I was waiting for my copying to be completed, I looked for other things and another sales associate asked if I needed any help. Overall the store just had a great vibe to it and everyone was so helpful.

W Jones: This place is usually pretty good. Staff are are usually pretty professional and attentive. However, this location is not able to able to offer printing (print, fax, copy,) or shipping services (scan and accept packages) 30 minutes before closing.

Theodore Wang: Store associate was very helpful and knowledgeable. The office chair was not in stock. She went to her computer in the store (this was on a Friday) and had it delivered to. my door on Tuesday. Amazing!

Jose Velasquez: Came in today to find some office supplies and make some large prints. I normally use my local staples but their laminate machine was down. I tried asking the lady a print question and before I could finish my question she cut me off and sand me to the self service area. I tried to explain what I needed done and she rudely told that I ask for printing and that’s where it’s done. She than pointed at another employee and said he might be able to help as she walked away from me. Rude and just plain nasty Back staples where at least they pretend to care not at this Office Depot Do Not use them.

Denise Cummings: I visited the Bowie store to check out office chairs. The one I liked was missing a price tag so I asked Alex for assistance. Sharon Green: It's convenient to produce your own products at home, yet the investment in quality products and printing services is priceless. I've used Office Depot for numerous print products and have never been disappointed as if it's not right, they'll fix it!

Kym Kent: Nathaniel (I think that's his name) was PHENOMENAL!! Took the time to hunt down markers that were in the store, but NOT located where the scanner said they were. He took the time, checking in MULTIPLE overhead bins and found the proverbial needle in the haystack markers!! I felt completely valued as a customer!! Erica Willis: Horrible customer service. I called because I wanted to order a computer as a Christmas gift, that was listed on their website as "in stock." I called the store to confirm if it was actually in stock before I placed the order for curbside pick-up. After being on hold for almost 22 minutes, someone finally comes to the phone. I give her the item number and she confirms that they have the computer in store. I proceed to place the order online, only to receive an email 20 minutes later telling me that my order could not be fulfilled because it's not in stock. Like did they even try to fill it? Did they look at their current inventory? How could you tell me over the phone you have it, then decline filling the order?! I then called back to confirm AGAIN and was left on hold for 25 minutes! No one ever came back to the phone. I called back repeatedly for assistance because my card was charged and now there is a pending hold for almost $700 for a item they told me they had, but didn't.

Jennifer Thompson-Hunter: Kudos to Nathan. His knowledge, patience, and input regarding the best way to capture photo and make poster went above and beyond regular customer service. Especially helping the non-savvy and elderly, lol. He was calm and cool and went about his work efficiently. Him and the store came greatly recommended. They said this Office Depot does all there printing and goes no where else. Now my go-to ✔

Phuc Le: The worst customer service with a real bad attitude. Stopped by on Wed. 02Mar2022 around 10am to drop off an UPS package that was ready with labels... The woman behind was so rude with an attitude that she should be in the stock rooms instead of dealing with customers. Wonder who had hired her? and what the qualification for hiring a customer service person from Staples. To say the least... for myself, there will never another visit to Staples. Yuck...

Hannah kim: The Staffs were very rude. When I asked where self printing machine was, he said " it is over there" without guiding me. There were many machines. And I asked the cost. He answered And he said that exit is over there which I did not even ask, which means stop asking and get out. And also one guy in printing service when I said excuse me to me, he did not even look at me nor reponded to me and just called other staff. They were very rude.I felt ashamed to ask them. Do not have any service mind. Very frustrating place to visit. They need to improve response to customers. They always need help when they visit.

Mahelet Tilaye: Went today to use their scanner and it malfunctioned. The copy center rep was SOO abrasive when I told her about it I couldn't believe it. She kept repeating to me that it wasn't the printer service that failed, I did it wrong...as if she had seen me doing it. I told her the exact steps and where it failed and she continued to tell me, loudly, I was wrong and thats not what happened and made me do it again while she shadowed me. I literally had to tell her " the way we're communicating is making me uncomfortable, let's change how we're speaking to each other" and she responded snarkily "OK I don't mean to make you uncomfortable, especially over 17 cents" - It was 53 cents...but she still wasn't getting the point. Anywho she got to see the malfunction with her on eyes and STILL didn't apologize for her assumptions. I got kind of cheeky and was like "ok so now you see YOU are wrong and I am right, right??? You see that." and she just walked off back to the rep area to now refund me for 2 transactions, my first and the 2nd she forced me to do. She wasn't humbled at all. Then for whatever reason the refund wasn't recognizing my card so after a few minutes of trying she had to do a manual refund...TWICE. total waste of time for what was supposed to be a quick errand. I will say I did end up getting what I needed in the end, she found a workaround in her work area but the lack of respect to the me as the customer wasn't worth it.

Lady B: I have had great experiences with this location. Today I went in to purchase a display desk that caught my fancy. This was the last one available and was reported to be out of stock online. I asked to purchase the display but was told it had to be returned to the manufacturer. Here's where the exceptional service kicks in.... An older gentleman, very soft spoken and kind, took the time to look for the manufacturer so that I could purchase the desk from them. He then determined that Staples in Manassas still had 2 desks like it in stock and provided me the address and phone number. He then showed me chairs and other desks I could buy, recommending the L desk. I told him the L-style desk was really too large for my space, and voila! he showed me a smaller one that was perfect! By the time I looked at the smaller L desk, I no longer even wanted the display desk I had come in to purchase. I had already purchased a desk/chair from Amazon but wanted to check out the display desk one more time as it seemed so uniquely suited for my needs. I will wait for my Amazon purchase to come in -- if it doesn't meet expectations, I will definitely be back to buy the smaller L desk this amazing gentleman showed me. Amazing that this gentleman took the time to showcase me products, communicate value, and find the perfect solution for my needs! He was exceptionally knowledgeable and responsive! Thank you for this fabulous employee! I hope he's a manager -- if not, he should be! Talk about excellence in service and salesmanship! I did not buy only because I had purchased from Amazon but will be back -- I love the L desk. When timing/circumstances are right, I will buy it! I didn't get the gentleman's name, but wanted to thank him online! Exceptional service! A+

Katy Glance: Absolutely flawless experience. On Xmas eve we’ve been out driving searching for somewhere that is printing photos, as we needed a last minute gift. Nowhere in the area even had photo paper. Called Staples and they said come on over, had six copies of our picture printed in 10 minutes. AND at no charge. Customer service was excellent, guy who works in photo dept deserves a raise and 5 star gourmet Christmas dinner. THANK YOU Staples for being so accommodating, convenient and friendly. Will be coming back for future prints 👍🏼

Tom Gregg: Tried to make copies and went to two machines and they both proved out of order. Ask them to make the copies for me and they said it would be a lot more expensive (double). I talked to the manager and said I had already spent a lot of time trying to use their broken machines that they should make copies for me for the same price (good customer service?). They said they would not do that I should wait for another machine to free-up. I was a good "rewards" customer. Now, I will never go back. It made me so mad that I am writing a review.

T Tes: I am a reward customer with staples. However, when I came to this location, to do a binding work, I have always been told will take an hour even if Mona the supervisor is pretending to do work. When I drive up to the mall by Springfield, it is done immediately. That why staples are losing customers and not being profitable. Need a better management.

Laura Beene: The deal was mismarked or I misunderstood. I wasn’t rude. “Ooops. No problem, help me get it right?” The person at the register seemed to get mad at ME and quit speaking? I decided, “Just give me back my money, please? Life is too short for someone to refuse to speak or look at the customer. The manager said he would handle him because that’s the manager’s job. How do they handle rude or mad people? Yikes. It’s okay, I’ll go somewhere else.

Carlos lopez: I went in today to get a few books I'm studying for school binded. There was no one at the counter and one employee (she was maybe in her 30s or 40s) came and asked what I needed. I explained and she said "I cant do it because we don't have the binding for it" (I've had many things binded like this at staples) when I went on to explain that I've had this type of work done before at staples. She replied with a nasty attitude "we dont have it" I went on to tell her that she didnt have to give me attitude and I would try another staples. If you dont have a material in stock it's fine but we all have enough stress. Dont be so nasty especially if you work helping customers.

Nathaniel Roundy: Clean. Well stocked. Prices are actually usually better than Amazon. Friendly and helpful staff. A little over eager with the suggestive selling. Staff is knowledgeable.

Just a Countertenor: This is a great Office Depot store compared to some of the others I’ve visited. The employees are very kind and helpful, and the store is clean and organized. The store is smaller than some other locations, however seems to have the same variety of products. I usually come once a month to recycle ink cartridges. Some of their items are cheaper than Staples, such as the envelopes in the picture. At Staples a similar pack was $10. My only complaint is that their restrooms are now marked as “Employees Only” which is inconvenient.

michele Silva: Real Time review: this store needs to just close. The employees are so nasty, NO ONE smiles and the customer service seems forced. They literally treat you like your getting on their nerves just being there. Never in stock on ink they have to order it for you. Today was it after waiting 40 minutes to drop a Fed Ex package and fed ex won't let them in. This store is horrible

David Mcmillian: Office Depot had a brother printer I needed in stock. I'd been seeking this printer everywhere for over 6 months. When I saw it, I ordered it. And item was was ready for pick-up in less than 15 minutes. When I arrived at the store and notified Office Depot I was there for curbside pickup, the associate promptly brought the printer to my vehicle and loaded it up right away. It was a very pleasurable experience.

ahmed mohammed: The customer service is very poor.i wanted to print a docment and stuck in the process.I asked frequently to get help and the person was with nasty attitude and not willing to help. Then I left the store .They are also very slow and may need to work on customer skill and efficient communication. I will never go back their again.

M Goldfarb: I like very much that it accepts used printer cartridges in its reward program. The checkout cashier was very efficient, and quiet but friendly enough. But the store itself could benefit from some painting and modernization.

Fathalla “Fat-halla Almzayne” Eldali: Terrible customer service two bad experiences - one time, I came to print something using the self-printing machines and one of them had an issue and switched to the other one and it also had a problem. I asked for help and the guy came was not able to help me and did not offer any solution and saw me walking away and did absolutely nothing. -Today, I had a amazon /UPS return. the store was almost empty. I waited for 10+ minutes and asked for help from the associates couple of times and no one came to help me. I simply walked away after 15 minutes and no one tried to offer to help me. I am always a patient person and I understand reasonable delays due to high demand times but both of these times, the store was almost empty. The terrible thing is that I live within a walking distance to this store but I would not go there again.

Vinit Singh: Always check prices on the website first. This has happened to me a bunch of times. I guess it's not really the stores fault, but rather the company itself. I'm leaving a 2 because the staff is helpful and have always price matched the website, but you should be aware that these are drastic price differences. Went in for some labels, online they were $8 and in store they were $15. Went to go get a chair, online it was $150, in store "on clearance" it was $200 and had damage from being open box. I only go here if I'm in a pinch and always have the site opened on my phone.

A & S Haynes: I ordered online for a label maker. I went into the store for pickup people were doing nothing but would not help me by picking up my order. I realize maybe people have certain things they focus on but I would have really appreciated someone helping me picking up my item without having to wait in line for 30 minutes when someone could have helped. Next time I’ll either pick a different location or just not order from staples.

Will never be coming back.

ju lia: I've been there couple of times and I concurr with another reviewer...they shy away from opportunities to help and even try their best to avoid you. And definitely, no greetings of any kind. I'm glad they are in business for when I need something right away versus waiting at least 2-3 days to get orders placed on-line but thats about it.

Lindsay Greene: Sean is phenomenal! Attentive, caring and kind. He sold me my computer last June. Today, he renewed my virus software quickly and applied a $20 discount. He even helped me get everything to my car. I will ALWAYS return to Staples in Fairfax for all my office needs!

big milk: my wife went to get ink for our printer or at least get someone there to help print something for her, she reports that no one was willing to help her, I can say from my personal experience the week prior in buying a monitor that no one is willing to help a customer unless they are directly asked to, it seemed as though they were more interested in their cell phones , when I did get help the young man was pleasant enough, even though he was from what I could tell the only one working, he stopped helped me and I was on my way. change of staff or more staff needed at this location

Wardman Court: My husband and I went to this Staples last night to scan some documents. The store was pretty empty. We stood in line waiting for service and Derrick, the customer service representative, was having a personal conversation with female employee. He acted like he didn't see us standing there. When he finally acknowledged us he pointed to the machine and told us to just push the button. Paper was stuck in the machine and Derrick was across the room and again didn't want to help us. He was on the phone laughing and hee-hawing. Derrick finally came over and told my husband that my husband was looking at him like he wanted to fight him. My husband never said anything to him. He just patiently waited for Derrick to come over to help him. Derrick was very condescending and disrespectful. Another older man needed help as well and he too never got any assistance. My husband is in his 60's and sometimes has technical challenges. Is this the kind of customer service that Staples gives to older patrons?!?

Kay Hall: I almost always get poor customer service despite the fact I always pay in cash. So I expect ppl to be lazy. I e made it more important to get the service I expect done though. Not on time just be ready with what ever I paid for. 6052 News: Worst store ever customer service sucks need new leadership

James D.: I've recently ordered 300 flyers to be printed; the order was to be completed on 1/26/2019. I called store 0584 on 2/4/2019, to check the status of my order, for I haven't received any notification of my order being completed. Shortly, after my call I received an email informing that my order is ready to be picked up. I then went to staples, 0584, to pick up my order; the customer service reps never acknowledged my presence. When I did receive my order it had a printing error; my assistant called the store to resolve the issue, so on 2/7/2019 I returned to staples to pickup the corrected flyers. Once again I was ignored by your customer service reps; who were helping other customers that stood at the counter for less than a minute. It was blatant discrimination. The female rep told her manager that she didn't want to deal with me. Then she told me that her manager would be assisting me. After waiting 20 more minutes for her to clear the line, the manager smirked at me then apologized for the delay. He then informed me that my order had not been printed, & that I would have to wait, so I waited another 40min for my flyers.

RL Willingham: I came in on the Saturday before Christmas and received great service from Melody. I came in to get a Kindle fire that was still in the back as the truck came in the night before and it was only 10 am. She took my name and number to call me when she had one in hand. I received the call shortly after I left the store and was running other errands. When I left the first time I was told they would look quickly. I appreciate the speed and friendly interaction with Melody.

M: I called this Staples location yesterday right before closing to see if they had Airpod Pros in stock. After waiting on hold for 10 minutes, I spoke with Chris who told me that there were multiple in stock but I should come in tomorrow because they were being “processed off the truck.” I came back this morning, waited in line until they opened, only to have them tell me everything was sold out. So either this location is backdooring HEADPHONES with the 50 dollars off (plus an employee discount) or they have terrible customer service. I’m willing to bet it’s both.

Stephanie M: Placed an order for a poster picture and instead given a picture. I asked the sales person what did I order and she stated poster picture. I asked then why was I given a big picture printout. Supervisor says, "well it's like a poster... No one cared that the order was wrong nor had the customer service skills to make it right. I wastoldto get what I initially asked for would be a 40min wait.

Nik Williams: Im not sure why management can't get it together here!! This is my neighborhood Staples and I would like to not have to inconvenience myself EACH TIME by having to find another location because the management is not competent enough to regulate the customer flow/traffic and HAVE WORKING MACHINES.I should not have to waste time trying to fix or force your machines to work (per baldhead manager) "Keep pressing the button, it will eventually work". The workers in the print side of the location look overworked and stressed with little to no help from the other superstore side. The print side should be fully staffed (at LEAST 4 people) to handle the demand of customers!

Apoorva Nadkarni: Giving it 2 stars mainly due to the printing service staff at this store. Don’t ever come in to store if you are in a hurry.. the folks working there are so disinterested in helping you .. they will move at glacial speed to provide one single answer.. once you have finally managed to get an answer out of them the printer will turn out to be jammed.. and you would have wasted your dollars with no print outs.. just a really frustrating experience

I needed a directory in here, but I found what I needed. Eventually. Exchange process was simple, thankfully. I hate shopping so take my review with a grain of salt.

Kay Jay: The individuals who work here all need to be unemployed! I walk in to see someone putting up Christmas cards and Christmas items so I ask about Christmas lights and the lady doing the set up gives me a nasty attitude about not selling lights. Then I fax and go to the counter to pay and no one acknowledges me while witnessing 2 employees behind the counter talking to each other and looking at the line. I then go to checkout and an employee picks up candy and gets in line behind me. Yet, another employees presumes to check her out before me! I’ll drive elsewhere to avoid coming back here. They should close this store ASAP and not rehire any of these individuals. 10/11/21 at 2:50pm for whoever cares from management to check the timesheet of workers!

Mike Tyner: The printing staff are visibly annoyed when you approach them for printing or laminating. Slow and generally unpleasant service.

Felicia Thomas: In the past I would come to this Staples and the lady who works in the printing department would do a wonderful. However the last three times I've been here she has had a VERY nasty attitude. Not at all pleasant to work with. I've gotten work done twice and when I have returned she has forgotten to do the work or she has done it wrong. Its extremely disappointing because I drive from MD to get her to do work because she was so good at first.

Andrea von Kaenel: Staples - Potomac Yards - Alexandria VA. Credit card was charged for an online order of a Lenovo PC. We didn't make the order. We disputed the charge immediately. Staples claims the charge is valid since someone picked up the order - so the credit card company won't consider it a fraud charge. Staples refuses to provide any evidence that they followed their process of checking IDs, or that they even did a check with that store. They have told us our only course of action is to contact the police (which we had already done) or to take them to court. Zero help, zero empathy, zero consideration for the consumer.

David Doher: Quick and simple. Drop off old hazardous waste, glass, or regular recycling. Stay in car for hazardous items and drive through gate. Giant dumpsters for everything else.

Nathan Lundquist: Would much rather go to the recycling center on Eisenhower for cardboard. I’m appalled my city tax dollars pay for this. The employees appeared as if they were homeless and had an absolutely abysmal customer service; one essentially tried to fight me for asking a question and a follow up because I didn’t understand him. The city should be ashamed.

Nicole Gauvin: Saturday morning, line of cars was about 8-9 deep. Took about 15 minutes to get through. No sign in currently, just need to show drivers license.

Ned Ash: Super easy! Pull up during business hours and they will bring a cart to your vehicle. In my case, I just point them to the back of the truck and they have it unloaded by the time I've filled out the visitor log. I've made four visits now, and only had to wait for another customer to finish once.

Todd Hoover: The surly older gentleman that works here needs some customer service training. I am from Pennsylvania and was driving my visually impaired sister that lives in Alexandria to drop off some electronics for recycling. I had her hold her VA state issued ID up to the passenger side window and he kept yelling at me to show my driver's license. I kept pointing to her but he kept yelling at me to show my license. Eventually I had her had the ID to me and showed it to him. He gave me a strange look and proceeded to let me unload the items.

Mark Cohen: easy drop off of glass revycling and household haz wastes. Just be sure to check the opening times.

Christopher Cannon: Hours are a bit stringent but very conveniently located and simple process for stopping stuff off. Thanks for all you do!

Elena Jochum: Manager with short white hair purposefully ignored me and did not want to help until another associate had no idea what I wanted. I felt like she was very condescending and only a different associate was able to tell me that they just sold the last thing. I felt uncomfortable that the first associate took my phone and walked away with it to show the manager the plastic sleeve for greeting cards because she had no clue what it was.

Robyn Ross: The convenience of ordering from the printing service is convenient, however they are no reliable on getting the products done on time. Same day printing has taken 2 days for completion of many occasions. Suggest FedEx for printing instead.

Tina Qu: I would give zero star if there is an option. I went there trying to print some loyalty cards, I went 4 times in a row and still not getting my job done. The staff there is incapable of doing his job. He complained that my file size was wrong, and yet when I handed him the file the day before, he did not mention anything. He promised me that the sample would be ready for me the next day at 11am, but when I went there the next day at 12pm, he didn’t even start on my order. He kept me waiting for hours while he serves new customers that come in, putting my print job at last (even though I was the first in line). When I complained to the store manager, not only did he not care about why his staff can not do the job, he asked me to leave, because he is busy! When I asked him for a phone number to file for a formal complaint, he wrote on a piece of paper a phone number that is the Renaissance Hotel Number. I can tell the store manager’s attitude was very different towards me, because the night before I happen to see how he deals with another complaining customer who is a white guy. I’m really sad, because I feel I do not deserve the attitude from him just because I’m a petite Asian woman.

Phuong Tran: Never do any print jobs here. It costing money for every minute of access but you ended up getting nothing. No body really check if the papers are loaded in the machine. You ended up waiting and getting charge for the money sitting there waiting. No body there to assist. This place should not be in business if they dont upgrade their equipments. I hope we have other office depots here around i will never drop by this place

Jenniffer Chaviest: After waiting in line for 30 minutes, the clerk was not sure she could have some medical records to a disc. She called her supervisor. No response after 15 minutes. She said that I could do the task "cheaper" at the self service using a thumb drive. My issue was I had an appointment that I needed to be at, money/cost was not an issue, and was going to leave the records and return whenever the job was complete. I sensed that the young lady did not want to do the job. Sad that customer service was poor.

Chris Jollay: Not sure how this place will survive the Pandemic. Got off work today, thinking I'd upgrade my home printer. Went to Best Buy, saw some decent stuff/prices, but figured I'd check out Staples since they supposedly specialize in this stuff. Well, went to the printers, wanted to buy one, but received no customer service. So, walked over to where the manager and two employees were doing nothing. Took the printer because it was light, basically got lectured for doing that and condescendingly told if it wasn't under the printer they didn't have it. Never assisted, never asked what I was looking for. Just horrible service, so I walked out a few minutes later. Like I said, not sure how this place survives if the employees have no interest helping a guy looking to spend a couple hundred on the spot...so, went back to Best Buy...much better service and a sale. Looking forward to seeing that going out of business sign....

Dutchess LB: Incredibly disgusted by the way one of my employees were treated by Staples staff. My 7 month pregnant staff member went to pick up ink for a printer. We are an essential business with essential staff members. She was denied entry for lack of mask. Then she was told for curbside assistance it would take an hour. I contacted the branch and the "sales and service manager" spoke to me. They were unwilling to really keep our business by compensating the distasteful treatment. State of Virginia does not require facemask enforcement what so ever. This is a nationally recognized company and should do better.

Mary Anne Keena: I walk in to get some envelopes because I was hoping to get a better deal than amazon, which seemed expensive. The place looks disorganized and vacant. In the distance I hear a startling, deep, booming male voice with a New York accent yelling for someone to come help him and he better “chop chop”. Whoever it was being called upon clearly didn’t care, kinda says yeah yeah he’s coming but doesn’t. The voice yells again for him, louder and more disgruntled. I’m browsing for envelopes and feel a little unsettled at this impending confrontation and wish the guy would just hurry up and obey so I don’t have to hear Frankie yell for help no more. I find the envelopes, which to my surprise (but not really) were twice as much as amazon’s. But at this point I decide to buy them because I have to mail Christmas cards and time is of the essence. At checkout there is a college aged girl engaged in a very personal conversation. So engaged, in fact, that apparently I am interrupting, and when I try to nudge my way in sheepishly to ask if there’s maybe a coupon, she looks at me almost shocked that I’ve found my way into to her personal space unwelcomed. She replies that there is no coupon and continues right back into her conversation just as if i wasn’t there and hands me my bag and receipt without even turning away from her conversation partner. Oh well, I had no grand expectations going into an office supply store, and i do have the envelopes i needed. But I do feel old at 33 saying that customer service isn’t what it once was.

Mandy Chan: Amazing experience with the staffs there, especially Mathew and Kareem. We took our 2 years old and 3 months old in for passport photos. They were extra patient and helpful. Tried many different ways to take the photos for the 3 months old to make sure it fits the requirements. Strongly recommend having your passport photo taken there

ido tkacz: Yesterday we made passport photos for us and the kids. An average of 8 photos each. We paid over $ 200 (each pair of photos about $ 15). It turns out that in CVS you pay $ 15 per couple, and another 50 cents for each additional photo. This is called Daylight Robbery!

Vishal Sinha: This is my go to location for Staples for when I need things quicker than Amazon. Ordering online is easy and the website is good to filter any products that are available for in-store pickup. They do have a good selection of the standard products available for in-store pickup and most of the other stuff is online only. Stopping by and picking up my order was easy. They have a online order pickup sign but I have never seen that open; I generally have to get in the main checkout line to pickup my order. The store is well laid out and stuff is easy to find. Staff is helpful too.

Hugo Arenas: The only place for office supplies in town.Nice clean store UPS delivery and FEDEX .

Nancy Mixson: We just returned from Office Depot to purchase computer printer paper and a computer ink cartridge. We had difficulty locating the cartridge. Daniel, an energetic young man not only checked the shelving and climbed the ladder to look at the stock, but ended up helping us to order the correct ink cartridge. In addition, another young man in the copying/ laminating area helped us to laminate some cards. His asked first, "How are you today?" He seemed genuinely interested. The friendly service makes this store a wonderful place to go, get supplies, and get assistance. Good job!

Just a Countertenor: This store is our favorite office supply store in the area. Some of their prices are high, but if you price match, then they always become the lowest price. They seem to always be in stock of everything I need, and the customer service is amazing. All of the employees are very helpful and kind. The store is also always clean and well organized. Sadly, this is Rockville's last Staples store, as years ago there were two more just down the road.

Chase Winter: Very good service getting some office chairs. Kareem was very helpful and friendly. I was surprised by level of good service for Staples. Kareem really seemed to care. Staples should make him a manager.

Nicole W.: They have a great selection of binders here. I always get Staples brand binders because they're incredibly durable and reliable. The staff's also really nice. However, the pencil/pen selection is a little small(at least, for a pen fanatic like me). If you're into that then I'd recommend Office Depot. Otherwise, great place for stationary fans!

Lauren Gibson: Really awesome staff, especially Carlos and Tiffany in the Copy and Print Center! They made sure I was taken care of and happy when something I ordered didn't come in the expected time frame. The plan B we came up with worked out really well. They are the best!

Joan Watkins: Went there to purchase anti-virus protection for my devices. Gwen, Lacie and young lady cashier (sorry I can't remember her name) were so helpful, patient and kind to me, a senior citizen who is technically challenged. All three of them never made me feel rushed or stupid as some store staff do. A very pleasant shopping experience!!

Patricia Martin: Have been here going on 15 mins waiting for the place to open. Someone pulls up 2 mins late and is the only one here trying to open the place.

LaToya Scott: I normally have good service, but this time I called ahead to ask how I could print an important document that came in my email. I was told to come in the store and it would be an easy transaction. I said if be there in 15 minutes! I got there 25 minutes before they closed. The lady would not help me. She told me they shut all their machines down and couldn't take any more orders. I explained that I JUST called 15 mins ago and was told to come in. I also mentioned that it was an important document I needed for tomorrow. That didn't matter to her, nor did the fact that they had 25 minutes before they closed.

JC: The personnel at this store just went above and beyond to provide quality prints we were needing in a tight deadline. I am very thankful for their service.

Anny H: Some months ago, I purchased a computer (online order pickup) and some other items in-store and to account for all promotions, the clerk and the manager worked diligently and took as much time as they needed while not taking service away from anyone else or still handling the store. Their multitasking and attention were AMAZING and I only lament I can't remember their names now, but it was such a memorable experience. I would always recommend this Staples store, at least under this management/with this staff.

Petra Holden: The store is neat and friendly and has plenty of accessible parking. Unfortunately, stores like Staples are often understaffed these days because online shopping is so prevalent. You may get friendly service, but you might have to wait a while. There is a UPS drop off within the store, which is convenient, and the print shop is very good at what it does. All in all, about as good as you're going to get for an in-person big box retailer these days.

Anthony P: Went in to get some paper for the printer and manila file folders. They tried to charge me $21.49 for folders that were marked $7.99 on the shelf (and online). I got them to correct the price. The paper was supposed to come with a rebate, but the register didn't print out the form I needed and I didn't notice until I got home. Maybe the rebate form is my mistake since I didn't check before I left, but given how big the price tag noting the paper was only $1.00 after rebate, I assumed it would have been there. Long story short, let the buyer beware. They will charge more than stated price. They will not provide rebate forms. Probably best to buy from elsewhere. If you have to go there, take note of the price tags for items so you can check at the register.

Robbie Fazle: It's a very bad place. From the rude staff and rude manager. I tried looking for a job here and nobody helped me out. This place was an amazing place a decade ago, but now it's bad and not great. I had a rude employee who I spoke about calculators they sell there and he out right insulted me by saying he doesn't like me and I don't even know him and the manager there said nobody likes me there either. Atleast the nice black guy who works there a decade ago was really friendly and nice but he's not there anymore. He was a good dude. Avoid this place. I only come here because they have good deals on laptops here.

Molly Ahearn: My high schooler needed some brochures printed for a final project. Had a bunch of trouble with the self-service printers, so asked for help from a staff member. SOPHIA was wonderful! So helpful. Walked him through everything - friendly, attentive and detail-oriented. So glad she was there to help out!

Beth Stiner: Avoid this place if you need anything done quickly and efficiently. I went in for some simple copies. All do it yourself machines were down so I had to wait for service. After the technician struggled to figure out how to copy a three page document, their machines to pay went down and I waited 10 minutes before scraping together change to pay so I could leave. I just opened my copies and he didn’t even complete a set. Just copied one page on two sides. Incredibly frustrating. Will never go back. It’s one thing to be patient during technical difficulties, but after waiting so long and not even having copies made correctly... never going back.

Joseph Pietroluongo: Micro center has everything. I had never been to one before but if you are doing anything gaming they have pretty much everything. Feels a bit like a used car dealership inside however. The staff always approached me which is engaging but I just wanted to browse and didn’t want to be sold anything. It is probably more helpful for people who don’t have any idea about computer components, but it felt very off putting to me.

Devon Janes: Came here a few weeks ago to pick up a gaming laptop. I found the one I wanted online, gave them the SKU number, and had a quick and easy checkout. It probably would have been easier if I had reserved it online for pickup since they seem to have a good process for that. The store is well stocked and well staffed and should be the first place you visit when looking for electronics.

Mark Noble: Micro Center is where you go if you want the best service and PC components! Luckily, I live less than 10 minutes from the Fairfax, VA store, so I am able to go whenever I need something. The 18 minute pick up is a great feature. Be forewarned, the sales team is commission based, so you will get multiple employees offering to help you, which I actually don't mind since you don't get that kind of service in most stores nowadays. I want to take a moment and leave a comment for David Ingold in the PC components department. I have built a couple PCs with his help and he is always great to work with. He is commissioned based, but not once have I ever felt pressured to buy, nor has he ever tried to up sell me. Most recently, I purchased an EVGA 3080ti FTW3 Ultra from him; an expensive purchase for sure. If you are looking to build a PC or need some upgrade components, stop in and see him! I always wait (however long) until he is free whenever I need something. (I hope he receives my comments)

Sarah “Sarah4Va” White: Grown up toy store!! You don't even have to know what you need before you get there. You will figure it out as you walk through the store. They are well staffed and eager to help. I've always found them to be very knowledgeable. They price match, so if you see a lower price be sure to let them know. Warranties on things can be so hit or miss. Some live up to their end and some take your money and look for any reason not to pay. Microcenter stands behind theirs. Well worth the money!

Armando: Ever wonder where your family tech support nerd goes to buy supplies when they can't get them online? This is it. One of the few stores in the country with everything needed to build a PC from components. Even silicon valley stores can't match the inventory of this store. That being said sales reps are heavily commission oriented. But they're far more knowledgeable than your average Best Buy employee.

Store is a bit out of the way for me but not much of a selection at other stores nearby unless you want to WAY overpay at Best Buy...and hope it never fails since their support is trash. Only way to get a better deal would be to toss the dice with an Amazon listing, and even then could only have shaved off about $100, which would be gone if you ever had to ship your computer off for service. -Large store with a lot of stock, and they keep it clean and organized -Staff has been friendly and helpful -Very competitive pricing

Fronzy 101: This computer superstore has everything from building complex circuitry projects to building high-end custom PCS, workstations and everything into between. They also have a apple section and a home theater section with very knowledgeable staff. I use the micro center CC card that gives me an extra 5% off as well as better pricing with rebates.

Hannah Green: I have been to this staples twice, once for a faxing need and just recently to ship out a package with Happy Returns. For the faxing time, the computer there was slow (just spinning, frozen) so it charged me for all of this additional time that I wasn't actually doing anything. The staff gladly refunded me for it. This last time, I had my dog with me, and they encouraged me inside (was going to leave him with my partner outside) and were immediately asking how they could help me. Staff was great, friendly, and my return was easy.

Courtney Moseley: 2 stars is nice enough. I went in this morning. Things all over the floor in the binder/folder area. The lady who checked us out (JoAnne) was rude. The little girl in front of us wanted to buy her own candy but couldn’t count her change. She sat it on the counter and needed the lady to help. She sighed in front of the little girl like she didn’t have the time or patience for it. No one else was in line except me and I had 2 things.also I I didn’t realize my items were on sale and all I had was $100 bill. She acted like walking the 10 feet she did to check the bill was hard labor. She had no excitement or happiness in her voice when greeting people. If you don’t want to deal with customers especially kids at a office/school supply store don’t do customer service.

Demi McAndrew: I started my day with a UPS return package. UPS had sent me a label with three options to access the label 1) Print the label from home, 2) email a digital copy (turned out to not be a digital copy but rather a repeat of the original email), and 3) A code to take to the UPS Store and have them ship my package. I usually come to this Staples for printing and teaching supplies because it is on my morning route. I stopped by to ship my package and the woman working politely explained that the code method would not work at this location but I could save the label as a PDF and print the label there in the store. The UPS site would not upload the label however. Rather than sit around fiddling with the website I decided to go to the nearest UPS Store in Beltsville. There they were not helpful, could not fathom how the code worked, would not help me print my label in their store despite having printing capabilities. So I went to the local library, accessed my email, printed my label and returned to Staples because I was so irate at the UPS Store I refused to set foot in there again. I walked into Staples and the woman from this morning was there still and remembered me. She asked if I had gotten my label yet. I was so touched that she remembered me and was genuinely wanting to help me mail my package. I explained to her my experience at the UPS Store and she was perplexed. She said she had seen that code before and that the UPS Store should have handled it, it just doesn't work with their system. I was so thankful and she apologized for my experience at the UPS Store, which was just the sweetest. I will return frequently to this Staples for any UPS shipping and office needs. Thank you guys so much for turning my day around.

Dana Phipps: I came in just to buy payer for my home printer, but the cashier was extremely helpful! He suggested I sign up for the rewards program based on my purchase of paper. He says, it looked like I would use a lot of printer ink and told me about their recycling program. I can bring up to 10 used ink cartridges per month for recycling and get two dollars credit for my next purchase. Not only that but they price match with Amazon. Staples just got my business! Thank you!

Rachel Ridley: Staples gives the option to order address labels for same day pickup. I placed my order, thankful to have them before leaving the country in order to send my wedding invites, and I arrive at the stated pick up time, only to be told they didn’t have labels and wouldn’t until Wednesday. By Wednesday, I am out of the country. If a company cannot fulfill an order by promised time, they owe you more than a cancellation. Ruined my entire schedule. Will not be using this dying store again.

Adam Smith: If you don't like an employee asking if you need help finding something and laughing at you when you say you do, maybe don't shop here. Secondary complaint, I've noticed their computers must be incredibly old because it took probably 2 minutes for their register system to read my card and process a small transaction.

Andrea Byfield: This was a strange experience today. Normally, I get my back to school supplies here. Today was strange. We bought the supplies, got in the longest line ever. When we get to the window, the clerk tells us he's closed then calls a white customer to his line. My daughter and I were beyond shocked. I'm still at a lost of words as to what happened.

David_D Barnett: If you have anything that you want to dispose of and have a vehicle that will hold said item. You can easily get rid of it at the Fort Totten solid waste disposal facility. All you need is a DC drivers license and some patience to wait for your turn. Check their hours because they are different but they are open on Saturday.

Chanpen Tee: Staff are friendly here. During the tiime i visit, there is a line here but it is not a long wait.

Shanti Conly: Went on a Saturday late morning to e-cycle old electronics, only my second time here. Unlike my first visit in 2018, there was no line to get in. There was also more assistance from staff in handling items. Staff at entrance checked my DC driver’s license and directed me to a drop off point. When I pulled up, staff wheeled a shopping cart to the trunk of my car to receive my items. I was in and out in less than five minutes. Easy peasy. Grateful DC makes it so convenient to dispose of electronics/ hazardous waste in a safe manner. My only suggestion is that DPW should pro-actively publicize the service so that more people use it.

Earle Douglass: This was a very positive experience. We showed up with a few things to throw away, like a vacuum and a bike, but since we were in a borrowed work truck we were denied entry. The guy behind us asked if the bike and vacuum worked and he took them. The guy running the front didn't seem to care as long as a work truck didn't enter. All very reasonable and glad to be around helpful people.

Jim B.: Today was hard. They had a very long line to get in. It took us an hour and half. When we got inside, the trash was mountainous. A section was blocked off so the amount of cars or trucks were very few who could dump their stuff. Also the space to turn around was smaller. So the lot guy was doing his best to get folks in the tight space. I understand that. They haven't been open long so things haven't caught up yet.

Elizabeth Shokunbi: It's a good place for city residents to dump their bulk trash that cannot wait to be scheduled for pickup. The employees are super nice. I believe it further helps keep the city clean. Look at their website for list of acceptable trash and trucks/cars allowed.

Trey Hodges: Quick and dirty. There wasn't a line that day. Just pulled up showed DC ID, got a spot, dumped the truck load and kept it moving. It's a Fred Sandford wonderland.

Robert Rice: Quick and efficient procedure. Recyclables are redirected to a different drop point away from the long line of other solid waste disposers. My experience may be attributed to an early arrival (prior to 9:30 am).

Roger Torres: One of the remaining large retailers where you can buy electronics. I have bough almost all mine from Micro Center. Micro Center has one of the best warranties around. If you purchase the extended warranty from they in almost all the cases they just give store credit for the full original price. No hassles. The staff is highly knowledgeable in each of there departments. Now and thru the pandemic they have been fully staffed and fully stocked.

Nik Rama: Micro Center is my favorite store. It has everything you could ever want when it comes to computers. As soon as you walk in, you are hit with just how many computer accessories they have. They have an entire section dedicated to computer monitors and pre-built desktops ranging from personal used to gaming. They then have an entire section for televisions, Rose upon rows of accessories and chords for computers, and at the very back of the store is there “build your own PC” section. The section contains all the parts you would need to build your very own PC. Everything from fans to water cooling systems to GPUs to CPUs, they have it all. It’s really exciting walking through the isles and seeing all the different choices you could have. I also appreciate that they have some sections for video games, virtual reality, drones, and recording/streaming equipment. This is a store I can easily spend several hours perusing the shelves, and I highly recommend it for anyone with slight interests in technology.

Duane H (WendysFrosty): Pretty awesome! Anytime I need a part to upgrade my PC setup they have it! They have some of the best customer service a business can offer. Will say they are like car salesmen. Picky if you aren't wearing what they think will be a sale.... Some are different though understanding that anyone can be one. Great place to go for inspiration as well. Love seeing their 3d printer making basic things. So much I could do with one! Loads of clearance areas(usually open box/returns). Well kept overall.

Arthur Harrison: Although I received superb service from every staff member in this store, my experience with their generic-brand PC was not a good one. The machine malfunctioned from a hardware problem within an hour of operation. There were virtually no instructions regarding how to connect it to the high-resolution monitor I purchased, or how to set the monitor parameters correctly. Micro Center's on-line technical support was inadequate; it took me 40 minutes to communicate my concerns to the agent, and only by pleading with him, find a way to speak to someone within a reasonable amount of time, which I needed to do to confirm the return procedure. I am happy I was able to return the computer to the store for a full refund with no question, however, the inconvenience this caused me was considerable. I advise against purchasing Micro Center's store-brand computers.

MFPhoto1: This store boasts a large inventory and wide selection at great bargain prices. The only problem is that the service sucks. I purchased a keyboard. Twice I was promised someone from that department would help me, and no one came. The only person there I could ask was at the check-out counter, which of course held up the line since he was the only cashier working. The line had already grown long because he needed something from a supervisor before checking out the customer in front of me, and that took 15 minutes or more.

Victor: I had a great experience, I did a online order pick up I have no knowledge about computers. I ordered like a older refurbished laptop and literally the next day it stoped working. Brian: Best Microcenter I've ever been to! I can't remember the name kf the associate who helped me pick out my UPS, but he was very nice and helpful. He made it seem like he wanted to actually help. In fact, almost all of the employees there seemed eager to help and I really appreciated it. Even if I know about a product I like to pick the brains of the people working there just to get there 2 cents. Def keep up the great work, you guys rock!

John Esker: Was sold an empty box of a tax prep software when I picked up an online order. Bottom seal had been cut. No license key was included. Would have hoped better quality assurance that returned items were properly checked before putting back out for resale. Was nearly impossible to get an appropriate response on the matter online. Though, once I got back to the store, Micro Center resolved the matter quickly.
