Embassy Suites by Hilton Washington DC Georgetown: what do users think?

Derek Kruger: Don't forget to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a place. This web site will compare countless booking web sites and typically will have prices a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later! This resort is one of the most well known in this area. I've been staying here for a very long time. If you choose this place you definitely won't regret it. Excellent. This hotel is far better than some of the others that we've stayed at in this area recently. Other properties nearby have dramatically reduced their quality in 2022, and this one is just as nice as it was in 2019. The breakfast, rooms, and location are all wonderful. A couple of people to complement: The woman working at the concierge desk was very thoughtful when we first arrived. She proactively checked with us to ensure that we knew that there were two hotels in the property and that check-in for the other one was handled at a different spot. Although we happened to be in the correct place, her proactivity would have been really important if we were not. Jeff and the other cook (whose name I didn't catch), making omelets at breakfast were incredible. The number of orders that they were quickly managing was remarkable. Even some guests who would rudely place their order and then walk away for bit to get other food were being given their correct omelets, and Jeff somehow knew exactly who was who and what they had ordered. The food tasted great, and the two of them at this station really impressed me. A couple things that could be better: Despite the room seeming to be very clean overall, there was black mold in some parts of the bathroom of the room that we stayed in. Less time should be put into stickers all over the place that say how clean the room is, and more time should be spent actually cleaning the room. I would include pictures of the mold, but don't want to highlight this one small negative too much, because everything else seemed very clean. The stupid stickers all over the mirrors is not unique to this hotel, or even to Hilton's brands, so I'm not faulting them for that in particular. We have stayed in many hotels in this area, but before and after the pandemic. Especially post-pandemic, this is by far the best option in the area. The location, staff, accommodations, and effort being put into everything is really great.

Damon Anthony: Hotel was great. The breakfast was dynamite. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Good location. My only issue was that some of the guests were being too comfortable. I noticed several times various guests walking around the lobby and restaurant without shoes or even barefooted. One lady was walking around the main lobby with only a robe. What happened to “No shoes, No shirt, No service.”

Sean Roche: Staying in a hotel with young children can be tough, but we found Embassy Suites to be perfect for us. The rooms have tables large enough to eat on and (obviously in the hotel chain's name) have a living space that closes off from the bedroom. The pool/hot tub area was great (but slippery - be careful!) And included continental breakfast + happy hour make for an easy day while exploring DC. Already plan on returning next year.

TGKawikachu: Honestly, this hotel turned out to be everything I expected, except for one MAJOR caveat. Service was fine, except room service did walk in on us with barely any warning. Here is the most concerning part. I enter the hotel with no bug bites, and then I wake up with FIVE! The fact that this hotel can't even keep bed bugs out of their sheets will discourage me from ever staying here again. The rest of the room wasn't all too clean either. We found a forgotten pacifier in the bedroom area, and the bathroom floors and counters were all sticky. If you want to have confidence in your room's cleanliness, DON'T go to this hotel. Spend your money elsewhere.

Jonathan Andersen: Opted for the large suite to house my family of 6 for a week long vacation. Brought along a twin air mattress for my adult son and was able to leave it up and the couch bed setup, with room to spare and move around. Staff was excellent. Room size was great. Rooms are just starting to show a bit of wear and tear, the only reason this hotel was not given 5 stars. Morning breakfast was a great time saver allowing us to fuel up and head out for a day of exploring.

Patty Adams: Clean, comfortable hotel. Pool is small, but well maintained. Breakfast has a lot of options, but the quality has gone down since COVID. i.e. Watery eggs, thin heat n serve bacon & sausage, fresh fruit only 2x per week & only cantaloupe & honeydew. Only got the fancy danishes once when I went within 15 minutes of opening. Coffee was atrocious. Happy hour was Budweiser & cheap red wine. Cash bar offered a few local brews though & were generous with their pores.

Jane Kolotka-Earl: Attended my nephews wedding in Washington DC. We booked at this place and we’re so pleased with the service we received. The breakfast and happy hour was great. The pool was nice but too many kids splashing and being rowdy. The hot tub was not working properly. We notified maintenance. Normally that would have upset me more but we were very busy enjoying our weekend with family so I’ve cut them some slack! If not for the pool and hot tub issues - this place would have easily received 5 stars,

Mary Leibold: I am going to be honest, I expected more. The staff were AMAZING and so helpful. I am a nurse and came to DC for a just a night get away. After all my activities I arrived late but planned a nice night in treating myself to room survive. Unfortunately they had closed the kitchen early. Relaxing in bed I was shocked to find out it didn’t have any smart features or any ability to even buy a movie. So o watched TV on my phone. And after asking for late checkout to sleep in unfortunately I was still awoken by housekeepers. Nice staff. But I expected more.

Embassy Suites by Hilton Washington DC Convention Center: what do users think?

Kisha Brantley: First time visiting DC with the family, I was hesitant about choosing this hotel due to current renovations. I chose it anyway because it is within walking distance to the national mall (about 15 to 20 minutes), restaurants, and the Metro. All staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, especially when my flight was cancelled and I needed to extend my stay. Spacious rooms, nice area, quiet a night. This is a family friendly hotel, so you will occasionally hear young children playing. My family enjoyed the hot breakfast, cereal, fruit, and yogurt. I would suggest having fans in the bathrooms. Valet parking is roughly $60 a day. Will choose this hotel again the next time I'm in DC

Sassy Sauce: I enjoyed staying at this hotel so much. They have the best sheets. They were nice and thick, smooth and just felt like a warm hug. I liked the sheets so much I called back to see if I could find out what the thread count and company were that made the sheets. They have a nice restaurant downstairs and the food is reasonably priced for a hotel restaurant. It’s very close to downtown and walking distance to shops, restaurants, metro stations, and the arena. It’s a great location and I would definitely stay again.

C L Moncrief Sr: This was my first time back at this Embassy Suites by Hilton in more than 6 months. The staff has not changed, I've always had an excellent/outstanding welcome and gracious treatment and they continue to impress. Most of the rooms have been upgraded and remodeled, and are amazing. As an Honors Reward member, I especially enjoyed the room upgrade on arrival. If ever in DC, this is the next best place to call home. Breakfast is included, and the omelets are unmatched by any hotel restaurant in the region. I'll give you a sneak peak of what to expect..... never mind the guy in the mirror

Linda Maneen: Every staff member was great, helpful, friendly, and welcoming. Each did an excellent job in representing Hilton. The rooms definitely needed upgrading, so it is good that renovation is underway. Some guests were obnoxious, but that could not be helped. Fewer dogs would have been nice, too. The breakfasts and happy hours were most enjoyable. Because of the staff, five stars were earned.

Derek Kruger: Don't forget to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking your place. This website will compare countless booking web sites and normally will have prices a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This hotel is the best rated in the area. I have been staying here for a very long time. If you decide to stay here you will love it I'm sure! I enjoyed staying at this hotel so much.

Laura Taylor: This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. The staff are excellent. I would like to mention Jessica, Richard and Brigitte who provided excellent service. The breakfast and manager’s reception are great. The rooms are clean, but during the course of our stay (that is why I have only given a 4 rating). The rooms could have been cleaned a bit better. One day, our garbages were not emptied. Overall, it was a good experience, but with the room blocks for the conference I attended, I was not able to stay a day longer that I needed to.

Allison H: We typically love embassy suites. Location here is excellent. The hotel is under major construction. We had to step over uneven floor and construction zone in lobby. Room was large but exceptionally worn. Stains on carpet and sheets. Worn arms on chairs. We were woken up to a jackhammer at 730 am on Saturday. People on our floor had a pot party. We talked to manager who did try to make it up to us. They said they kicked out people with the pot. Very friendly staff. Many people came to breakfast in bare feet. Parking is very expensive at over70 per night with tax. Might be ok if completely renovated in future. Very different experience and level of clean than any other embassy suites we have ever stayed.

Lauren L: The location was honestly perfect, and the rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. The staff were all incredibly helpful, kind and knowledgable. I appreciated how they easily gave us a late checkout, and held our bags at no fee for the day during our last day in the city so that we could go out and about (we had an incredibly late night flight and didn't want to lug our stuff around). There is construction going on currently, which staff warned us about, but it wasn't too much of a bother at all (and I assume this place will be even better once it finishes). I would absolutely stay here again in a heartbeat, and I wholly recommend this hotel.

Katie Parsons: Hotel is nice and clean. Friendly staff. Valet parking is $69 for them to park it in a garage under the hotel🤯 of you ask where else you can park they (valet) will tell you no where, it’s too dangerous if you don’t park with them but couldn’t explain why. Complementary and made to order breakfast. Complimentary happy hour. There is no restaurant at the moment it’s being built and the pool area no longer has a hot tub so that was misleading. The hot tub and restaurant are why we booked here so that’s a disappointment. Pool is very small but other than those three things the stay was wonderful.

Joy Rabideau: Overall, we were very happy with this choice! The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the included food and drinks were a nice perk, our renovated room was very nice, the location was great, the elevators were fast, the pool actually being open was great since many hotels have theirs closed right now. I only didn't rate a 10 because of the construction, which really didn't bother us much, it just would have been nice to have the full lobby and restaurant open.

Embassy Suites by Hilton Washington DC Chevy Chase Pavilion: what do users think?

Cliff Homesley: Highly recommend. Convenient by car and metro to many parts of DC. Complimentary breakfast is excellent. Parking is convenient. Cheesecake Factory in the building with good food. Building formerly included an upscale shopping experience but that has been decimated by pandemic and online shopping. Hotel remains in great shape though.

Allen Rawls: Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Complimentary breakfast is great. During our stay on 3-19-2022 we were able to eat bacon, Sausage, scrambled eggs, fried eggs, omelettes, French toast, potatoes, muffins, toast w/ toppings, oranges, apples, yogurt, cereal, bagels w/ toppings and oatmeal. The pool is only 4ft deep but that was plenty for our children. Everything was clean. Shopping is available right off the side of the hotel. And the metro has an entrance at the bottom of the hotel. Highly recommend!!
Response: Hi Allen, Thank you for sharing your experience with us and with your fellow travelers! We really appreciate all of your feedback and we're elated you enjoyed your stay with us. Thank you for making us your hotel of choice - we excitedly await your next visit!

Tierra Holman: This was my 1st time stay here. 1:I didn’t get his man name, but the guy at the front desk was very condescending not a Pleasant 2: calling the front desk you can’t get anyone you have to keep calling. 3:it was only one working elevator so it Took forever to get on and off the elevator. 4: The pool didn’t have towels for you to use. 5 : I wish they have vending machines with other snacks and it not just sold us. The room was very clean and the breakfast was good. It could’ve been better.
Response: Hi Tierra Holman - Thanks for taking the time to leave us your review. We are so sorry you had a 2 star review experience with us. Please reach out to us at https://help.hilton.com/s/contactsupport so we can make this right. We love hearing from our guests, even if it's not all positive.

Emily Hopp: My first time in DC and I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay!!! Being located right near Metro and bus stops definitely helped make getting around so much easier! The rooms are nice, staff is super friendly and helpful, and the breakfast in to die for! I have to give a should out to Lisa at the front desk, not only was she always smiling and friendly, she took the time to explain how to get where we were going and even gave us ideas of things to see that are a little more off the beaten path! It was sad to see how many little shops had closed down that are connected, inside the hotel, but having a CVS in hotel and several other dining and shopping options within a 5 minute walk, made up for it! My one and only suggestion, would be for them to allow 18+ in the hot tub/pool from 10pm-midnight, it can be kind of crazy in the pool area when there are a bunch of kids, and not really as relaxing as I would have liked after being on my feet all day. That being said, I am thankful they had a pool and especially that they had a hot tub! I would stay here again, and hope to bring my family back soon!

Islamiat Adamoh-Faniyan: Stayed here with my family for the holidays. The first night was tough because of an alarm that went off a couple of times over night. However, the hotel manager's response to the incident is the reason for the 5 stars. Mr Adam embodies Hilton's dedication to an excellent customer experience! He was understanding of the inconvenience and met my request for a room on a different floor. He was kind and provided an immediate solution. He went above and beyond to ensure my family had a wonderful experience at the hotel even in the midst of COVID! Thank you Mr Adam! You helped us to have a holiday we will never forget!! The breakfast buffet was up and running and all of the staff there was so accommodating!! Everyone was kind and helpful and the food was delicious! All around a great stay!!!

Kinjal Banerjee: We checked in late, but the front desk staff were really nice and helpful. The rooms are nice and well maintained. The breakfast was amazing! As for location, it is right on top of the Subway that can take you directly into DC. That is definitely an added bonus. Would definitely recommend.
Response: Hi Kinjal, Thank you for your terrific review on your recent stay! We’re delighted to hear that we went above and beyond in providing you with the best experience possible. It is a huge compliment when our guests enjoy their stay so much that they take the time to review our property and recommend it to others. We look forward to welcoming you back to our hotel in the not-too-distant future!

Tyrel Merritts: During my stay at the hotel, they had the best parking, metro access, and convenient commodities that someone would ask for in a hotel. During my stay we had “The Range” that was open for a great place to sit down and have dinner when you are visiting the area. The hotel staff were helpful, polite, and had the best customer service I have had at a hotel in a long time! Keep up the good work!
Response: Hi Tyrel, Thank you for sharing your experience with us and with your fellow travelers! We really appreciate all of your feedback and we're elated you enjoyed your stay with us. Thank you for making us your hotel of choice - we excitedly await your next visit!

Marco Keller: The staff on site should not work in hospitality. First off the entire hotel is understaffed. The ones working here give you a feeling of them not wanting to be here. They respond with short and snappy comments. After calling the front desk numerous times to report a wild and out of control party at the hotel room causing guests not being able to sleep, the front desk ignored my calls. I had to confront the weld party goers myself in hope to restore calmness in order to catch a few hours of sleep. House keeping didn’t come to clean our room and upon calling ones again to report it, the staff was unfriendly.
Response: Hello Marco Keller - We apologize that you received poor service during your stay with us. This is unacceptable! We will share this feedback with our team members and leadership and use it as a training opportunity to prevent issues like this in the future. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience and leaving us invaluable feedback.

J & W Belem: This location does not meet my expectations for an Embassy Suites. The staff was exceptional, but the facilities were lacking. Perhaps it's covid standards now, but it was not as well kept or modern as these properties usually are. The breakfast buffet is not as fabulous as it once was but it was adequate. The restuarant was closed so dinner options were not as convenient. If you want a decent place to lay your head with good service this will work for you.
Response: Hello, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. While we are delighted to have welcomed you as our guest, I am disappointed to know that we failed to meet your expectations on so many levels. Your feedback is important to us, and I can assure you that we shared your complaints with our operational teams for their review and will address the issues you kindly brought to our attention. We really hoped you'd love us - I'm so saddened to hear that we fell short. Please know that we do try to consistently deliver a superior guest experience. Should you ever find yourself back in town, please give us a chance to show you that our product and service can live up to your expectations.

Derek Kruger: Don't forget to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any stay. This website will compare countless booking websites and typically will have prices much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This hotel is one of the most well known in this area. I have been staying here for years. If you stay for a few nights you for sure will love it I'm sure! One of the best stays we have had since COVID. We had a young family and the rooms were great. Our first night, we had a slight plumbing issue and it was resolved quickly. Breakfast was fresh and ample choices for all. The lines can get long but it didn’t stop us from enjoying our meal for 3 days. The best part is the proximity to many DC attractions. Great visit!

Michael Gibu John: One of the best stays we have had since COVID.

Irina: I stayed here for 3 nights, most of the nights were good. We got a corner room that was very clean. We asked for extra shampoo and conditioner and the staff gave us 9 bottles! 😂 Everything was good, except for on our last night there was a party on the floor above us and people were smoking weed. They were asking kids if they wanted to "join the party." The adults were running around the halls and waking people up, including me. Eventually security was called and as far as I know they were arrested. There should have been a better way to handle this.

Rob: Room nice overall, but a few problems. I had to call for assistance twice. They came quickly to help fix the issues. And beware, if you're a first-time visitor to this area, parking is $42 for guests of hotel on top of cost of room. That was a shock! I would have stayed someplace further away if I had known that up front before booking. The food at the restaurant was good and the servers were nice. They were quick to take orders and were friendly and helpful.

Samantha Gallaghan: My 4 star rating had largely to do with the nice lady that runs the bar/evening reception. My husband and I came here for the Cherry Blossom Festival. The first night we arrived kind of late to do anything so we hung around the hotel bar with our boys. The evening started kind of slow, but once it got busy she didn't show any frustration I've seen in other businesses. We returned early the second evening and our toddler was acting all rowdy. She immediately got him milk to help us out. She was one of the sweetest ladies I've met in a long time. The food was amazing as well. Not an overpowering menu, but what they did have was great. My 4 star rating would have been 5 if not for one issue...the pool. When picking this Embassy for our short trip, we thought about a few things, one of them being the pool. Our boys love swimming. They love anything water so when we saw the picture of the pool we thought perfect. The night we got here, we saw the sign for the pool. The app said there was a pool, the website said there was a pool, the sign in the lobby said "pool" with an arrow. There was no pool. Just a foggy window with a sign where pool used to be. What a disappointment! If you no longer have a pool, then the suggestion would be to contact the websites and have that tidbit removed. If we knew that then we would have probably picked somewhere else. Thank goodness my boys are too young to understand, but who is going to explain that to the middle aged man looking to soak in the pool after a long day? There were actually a few people in search of this non-existent pool. A brief mention would have been nice, but I myself had to search through TripAdvisor reviews. Why?! Just saying. Other than that the trip was good. My husband, children, and I slept great. The breakfast was great and everything was very relaxing. Thank you for a nice visit!

Rick Wood: Had a great time at the Embassy Suites. They are a great staff who want the best for you. I enjoyed breakfast, lunch, and drinks during happy hour. The room was clean and comfortable. Sleeping was great and restful. A family would have enjoyed this location. Close to shops, restaurants, grocery stores, Metro, and waking distance to many places. The only issue we had was the hot water in the shower. As a group we all had the same issue. The hot water was not predictable and not stable. Took forever to get through a shower with hot and cold constantly flowing no matter where you turned the dial. They are fixing.

Aaron Miller: Subpar Embassy Suites compared to other Embassy Suites I’ve stayed in. Overall hotel appeared tired, worn, and in need of a freshening up. THE GOOD: Room was spacious and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was well done, with sufficient offerings to have a complete breakfast. Manager’s reception had a solid mix of drinks available. THE BAD: Pot smoke smell constantly permeated my room and I could hear the party sounds from a room somewhere nearby through the air vent system. The atrium was deafeningly loud due to their air handling system. Seriously, I had to yell at the bartender the last night so she could hear my drink order. The bathroom in my room featured bizarre dimensions for the toilet, shower head, and sink counter. They were all very, very short and I’m not tall at 6’ even. THE VERDICT: There’s better places to stay in Arlington for the same price or less that don’t feel quite so worn out.

Will Paige: While the hotel itself is very beautiful and has great perks such as a hot breakfast and the managers evening reception, the booking and room assignment process left a lot to be desired. We booked a 2 Room Suite-2 Double Bed Monument View for New Year’s Eve. Upon arrival to our room we were very disappointed to see that the room had no monument view. The room, instead, was facing several apartment buildings. This was especially disappointing as we were excited to see the fireworks at midnight to bring in the new year. We called the front desk to let them know that we received the incorrect room and they informed us that the hotel did not have any more monument view rooms available and that the rooms were distributed on a “first come, first served” basis, despite our reservation. They also told us that the monument view suite and non monument view suite were the same price. Upon further checking on their site after our stay, we saw that the monument view room was actually a higher price than the non-monument view room. We do not know why the front desk would say this or why our accurate reservation wasn’t honored upon our arrival. We hope that Embassy Suites will fix their process and resolve this issue in the future to ensure their guests actually receive what they’ve paid for especially if they are rewards members like myself.
Response: Hi Will Paige - We’re normally known for our exceptional attention to detail, and we regret that we missed the mark during your stay with us. We would like the opportunity to investigate your feedback further and make things right. Please reach out to us at https://help.hilton.com/s/contactsupport so that we can collect additional information about your reservation details. Thanks again for taking the time to give us feedback, it means a lot to us.

Robin Austin: The room was clean and modern. We had a wellness room that had an air purification system so when we walked in there was a pleasant scent and the air felt clean and fresh. They have a quiet time from 9 pm - 7 am so we were able to rest peacefully. The complimentary breakfast buffet was exceptional. They offered made to order omelets along with the an extensive variety of buffet items. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will go back when in the area.

Derek Duarte: The hotel is nice. Bathroom could use some updating but it is still very nice. Breakfast buffet every morning which is pretty good. Costco and Whole Food Market is within walking distance. Tues-Sat dinner is available and not too expensive. Overally very nice.

Every week our algorithms find new sites and we only recommend the top 20 . next update in 291 minutes.
