He listened to my concerns, made sure he reviewed my chart thoroughly to note any changes or necessary topics since my last visit and I was very pleased with his service so much so that I happily slid my card to pay my copay!😅

Tolulope McCary: Dr. Shocket has been my GI specialist for over 15 years. He is an excellent, compassionate and knowledgeable doctor who is also patient and kind and takes the time to listen to your concerns and symptoms. He takes the time to discuss potential treatment options and his recommended solutions, in addition to discussing those you may have researched yourself and why they may (or may not) work for you. His first priority is to get your health stabilized / improved and he goes above and beyond to ensure your quality of life is vastly improved. Did I mention he runs an efficient office and is very accessible? I recently moved 3 hours away from DC but cannot imagine seeing another gastroenterologist, so I make the hike to DC just to see him and have a piece of mind with the assurance that I am getting the very best care I can.
Moses Garuba: He is an incredible doctor and a beautiful human being. He exhibits the best attributes of the practice of medicine. Five stars ++ is perhaps a more appropriate rating for him.

I knew he was a highly recommended Dr. on the top docs surveys and magazine, but when he called personally to follow up my email 2 weeks ago, I knew he was an exceptional Dr. Compassion would be the word I would say is his hallmark. He went the extra mile, presenting a plan to make me as comfortable as he could, which meant he was thinking of me and my best interests. That might sound like what a doctor should do, it is. But, in my experience in 5 hospitals now in 3 months, it is rare. ♥ Keri Johnson, the PA was very kind to us, explaining everything,answering questions and listening to my complications. She put us at ease at the arrival time being wrong and said she took another patient first then fit us in. She made us feel good. Thank you to the nurse taking vitals, receptionists that greeted us, everyone. I had put 3pm. in my planner for appointment, but it was supposed to be 2:30 and I arrived at hospital by 2:15 but by the time my husband dropped me off in my wheelchair and parked and we figured out where to go after going back and forth awhile it was 2:45.
Gillian Caldwell: Dr Shocket was fantastic start to finish. He completed a colonoscopy for me during COVID times so much of our correspondence was via email and videoconference. He was fluent with the technologies and highly responsive on email regarding preparation, COVID testing, results etc. He was also great in person - thorough, professional and kind. His team for the procedure was also top notch. Highly recommended!

David Rohrbaugh: My initial visit to the Capital Digestive Care office on Fernwood Road in North Bethesda was one of the most pleasant Dr office visits ever. The office staff and nurses are genuinely friendly, efficient and professional. Everyone smiles and it is a seamless operation. Dr Bolan focuses on "business" but is both kind and professional. In addition, the staff at the Bethesda Endoscopy Center (different location and staff) where the procedure is performed were also quite pleasant and professional. Overall, my expectations were exceeded at both places. Highly recommend Dr Bolan and his team.

Nadine NOBLE: Dr. Farboud is one of the best Gastroenterologist I have been to for care. I suffered with GI problems throughout my life and this Doctor was a life savior. He is very knowledgeable, professional, caring and spent time educating you about your health condition. Before you leave his office you felt like you already heal without starting your treatment. This is how patients should feel with their Doctors. I wish all my Doctors were like Dr Farboud.
Jacqueline Costlow: As someone who works in healthcare myself, I know firsthand the divide that exists between “minimum required standard of care” physicians and the “above and beyond” ones. Dr Farboud’s standard of care not only goes above and beyond but lands somewhere in the stratosphere. I never once had that all too familiar feeling of being just “the 10am patient” because Dr Farboud treated me as an individual and actively listened to what I had to say. I felt a part of my own treatment plan and not apart from, which helped us decide the course that was best for ME. Everything he said and did clearly centered around my best interests and his ability to provide optimal care; refusing to settle for "easier" options that might give subpar results. I also believe that a doctor is only as good as his support staff’s representation of him. Stacy and the other staff were amazing with their care, compassion and willingness to provide support in whatever area they could. I am so incredibly grateful to their commitment and passion for the work they do, it made all the difference. Stacy, in particular, went out of her way to expedite and advocate for insurance purposes and just to be there for my questions and concerns. She is definitely a rare bird and I appreciate her so much. The care that you will get at AGH is definitely next level and I would recommend to anyone that Dr Farboud is the doctor to see.

He takes his time to explain things; he is concern about his patients overall health; he is professional and knowledgeable; he do not over book patients, so there is no long wait times even with his level of attentiveness. Amy D: I was referred to Dr. Stephen after an absolutely horrible experience with another gastroenterology practice in the area. Dr. Stephen is very straight-forward and no-nonsense while also being very supportive and obviously doing what is in the best interests of her patient. I had some scary GI/liver things going on and she helped get the GI things figured out, referred me to an amazing hepatologist for the liver stuff and thoroughly explained everything that was happening along the way. She has been a great partner in figuring out my various GI/liver issues and coming up with a long-term plan.
