Gabrielle James-Johnson: I've been going to Integrated Dermatology for years and the quality of service has gone down significantly. It's next to impossible to get an appointment, no one answers the phone and I almost always get a follow-up bill saying I owe more than my co-pay even though they are an in-network provider. The PA's are nice enough (because you will RARELY see a doctor), but it doesn't make up for the awful experience of managing an appointment.

Paulette Aniskoff: The location is the best part. The doctors have all been fine, but clearly in a rush to move people in an out. My biggest problem is that their office has had errors or delays in every interaction I have had with them. Prescription refill problems many times, tele-medicine appointments that no doctor shows up for because the office listed them as office visits (this happened twice). Submitting a claim to the wrong provider and then sending me bills. Once in 2020 it took me 3 calls and 3 emails to get a single reply for a script refill (!). Some of the individuals in the office have been helpful in fixing errors, but ultimately I end up frustrated with the office every time for one reason or another. I am finally switching to a different practice, which I should have done a few years ago.

MATT PAULIK: The office personnel answering the phones are impossible to reach to make an appointment. It rings with no answer and when you leave a message with their service no one calls back. The only reason for 3 stars is that the dermatologist seeing my daughter has been really good with her and helped a lot. The office personnel to make an appointment leaves something to be desired.

Paige: The huge discrepancy between 1 and 5 star reviews makes complete sense. I've been a patient at Integrated Dermatology for probably 5 years now and for most of that time, I would've given the office 4/5 stars. But now I refuse to go back. If you can get scheduled (which is damn near impossible unless you're in the office), pray to God you don't have a procedure. The blatant mischarging, inaccurate estimates, complete and total lack of accountability is shameful. I have spent hours on the phone trying to get my billing corrected (which was over $1,000 when my estimate was $250).

Peter Christensen: I liked the doctor but the front office and follow up was so poor. Be aware they try to direct you to fill all prescriptions with their own Care Connect pharmacy which quoted $300 for a $30 medication at another pharmacy. I felt they were trying to upsell you products and services. I would not go again.

Sandra Crespin: I've been a patient of this practice for many years now and had over 15 PRP sessions. Unfortunately, the departure of Allison forced me to see other providers. I've seen Victoria L. Hatfield twice now and every time has been horrible. My last PRP appointment was intolerable and I cannot go back to this practice. She rushed the entire session. She was literally stabbing me with the needles on my scalp and would not wait for the other lady to "cool" "numb" the area where she was stabbing me. She went SO FAST and had no sense of care for my well-being at all. I left my appointment crying from the horrible pain/experience. My scalp was left bloody, I had to grab some gauze myself and clean my scalp after she and the MA rushed out the door. Words cannot express how inhumane she conducted the entire procedure, the WORSE one by far. To add to my horrible experience. The MAs do not know how to draw blood, I was stabbed on my arm twice because of the inexperience of the MAs. If I could give this a 0 star I would! I would also say I've had PRP sessions with Agnes Chang and she was equally as bad as Victoria. Rushed out of my appointment and no bedside manners. And I have also been billed for sessions I had already paid, believe the inaccurate high bills they send their patients. I would NOT recommend this practice to anyone. After 4 years of coming here, I will not be returning. Horrible care and horrible front staff as well.

Whitley Gaffney: I have seen Dr. Urvi Gonzales for quite a few years now and have nothing but great experiences with her! She is kind, caring, and gentle. I always feel taken care of.

Beth S Dolan: Nichole the PA is great! She is very personable and helped create a plan to tackle my skin concerns. I felt like I was in great hands and look forward to working with her again soon.

Samantha Donlon: I am so disappointed with this place. Though the PAs themselves are lovely and kind people, my overall experience has been so negative overall that the bad outweighs the good by a landslide. The doctors being nice is not enough. I received three different bills that were astronomically high, even after insurance and copays. When I tried to contest the prices and better understand the rationale, their billing department wouldn’t budge. I’m talking a $300 bill for a standard skin checkup, because they added additional charges for “other services rendered”. I went in for a skin checkup but had a question about something else, and that cost me $100. Seems absurd. Not to mention, I went to this office for three years to fix my skin problems and saw zero improvements. After spending so much time and money on the products they recommend and their excessive bills, I am sad to say I cannot recommend this place and would caution anyone considering going.

jenb: PATIENTS BE AWARE Integrated Dermatology will send your pathology to the lab that they have a contract with, and I was not given an option nor knowledge of their "preferred lab". Worse, this lab is considered out of network with my current insurance.

Shade Lanz: I had a very horrible experience here and wish I never made the trip! I went in to treat sunburns that I got from vacationing. Dr. Alster took a quick look at me and said I was "INNATELY DARK" and she could not help me until I was "no longer exposing myself to sunlight"... in what world does that happen?! She then recommended a face serum, eye cream, and sunscreen powder, which were completely ineffective after using it for over 2 months (I bought the serum and eye cream). This is besides the fact that I was treated like a lab rat with student doctors perusing my face. I am still traumatized by the VERY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE I had here. It was a total waste of my time and money.

Candice Ellis: This is one of those places where they won't tell you the actual cost of treatment until you've spent $250 to see a doctor for a five-minute "consultation," and get you in the door by providing misleading/incorrect information at the time of booking. I called on 10/22/2021 at around 1:00 PM to inquire about laser tattoo removal. When I asked about the cost, the woman who answered the phone explained that they could not give me an exact figure without first seeing the tattoo (understandable), but that sessions started at $350 and went up to $1,000. I figured my 2x3” tattoo would be somewhere on the middle/lower end – this isn’t a sleeve we’re talking about here – and felt okay booking the $250 consultation to determine the actual cost and next steps for removal. So, given that I was under the impression that the high-end cost per session was $1,000, imagine my surprise when the doctor quoted me $950 – $950!!!!!! – per session to remove my TINY 2x3 INCH tattoo. When I expressed my surprise at landing on the upper end of the range I had been quoted over the phone (what do people with sleeves do?), the nurse told me that they shouldn’t have quoted a price at all, and that the cost per session for laser tattoo removal can (and often does) far exceed $1,000. Not sure why I was told that $1,000 is the max if that’s just the starting point for “large” tattoos, but it got me to book the $250 consultation so good for their bottom line, I guess? And on that note: I never, ever would have booked this place and spent the $250 consultation fee if the folks over the phone had been honest about the cost. It's not like their method of determining cost requires the expertise of an MD, either, as the doctor I met with told me it’s based on size of the tattoo, not the complexity. Anyone can make that calculation, so why charge people $250 for a consultation? To get people in the door, maybe? Overall this place just seems super shady and dishonest. In retrospect, I should have tried to get a refund for the consultation fee given that I was misled when initially booking the appointment, but the whole thing was just so off-putting and upsetting that my main focus was to just get out of there ASAP. For those looking for laser tattoo removal in the DC area, check out the Center for Laser Surgery. They’ve got MDs on staff and will provide a quote via email for free :)

georgeann ballou: growing "mature" is inevitable but with the help of Dr Alster we can age gracefully the only products i will use and the only office i will visit even though it's a plane ride away thanks for the TLC and always being there for questions and continuing to produce great products

Bradford Burke: Words cannot express how wonderful Dr Alster is. Of all the doctors I’ve ever been to, her bedside manners exceeded them all. She greeted me with a smile in her eyes (mask was on) and proceeded to explain the procedure in detail and wrapped her spiel by asking me if I had any questions. She exhibited a level of concern & compassion unmatched by any other physician. During my procedure today, she verbalized exactly what she was doing every step of the way. She even went as far as sharing some recent adventures she had been on. I left feeling confident in her knowledge, abilities, and professionalism. What a class act Dr Alster is. I’d recommend her to anybody.

She has never disappointed me and in fact I do not tell her what I need to have done. She tells me. That is a terrific bond to count on year after year. The staff at Washington Institute of Dermatological Laser is outstanding. The best in their field. They will make you feel like the most important person of the day.

rachel katz: Dr. Alster was recommended to me by a dear friend. My skin is aging and I wanted someone who was knowledgable to help me look better.....more like myself. I was pretty nervous going in to the appointment. I didn't know what to expect. First of all, I got there a bit early and they actually saw me early. I didn't wait at all. Dr. Alster made me feel completely comfortable right away. She is warm, friendly, smart and professional. Clearly she knows what she is doing and I knew I was really good hands. Her office is a special place. The staff is warm and happy. You can see right away that they love the office and what they do. At the end of my appointment I'd forgotten some post procedure instructions and one of the women actually ran down the stairs to catch me before I left! So nice. I feel lucky to have found this practice.

Joseph McDonald: Great experience. Everyone is professional and welcoming. Waiting room was pretty full for Covid times, but I was only there for a few minutes before being called. All staff are great, but it seemed like they were under a lot of pressure to move people though as quickly as possible. While this is admirable in efficiency, and probably why it is easier to get an appointment, consider giving them some time to breathe and create a relationship with patients. Perhaps an additional 2-3 minutes for appointments could make a big difference.

Lisa Zelenak: I have been struggling for over six months with what I thought was psoriasis in my scalp. I have been seeing another local dermatologist where it was a constant struggle to get an appointment and I only ever got to see the PA. What they had prescribed only made it worse. After three weeks of trying to get a receptionist on the phone to schedule an appointment (with no success and only speaking to an answering service) I started searching to find someone else. I called Braun and a friendly voice immediately answered the phone and got me on the schedule to see Dr. Alicia Braun the following week. I arrived slightly early and before I could finalize the paperwork I was already being taken back. The nurse met with me for a few minutes and I settled in thinking that I was going to be waiting for awhile in there I mean after all, she was the named doctor on the practice and at most places you wait forever, but nope she walked in two minutes later. Dr. Alicia had a comforting presence. In some dermatology offices you get the feeling like you are at a med spa out in LA but it felt like you were talking to your Mom or Aunt. I immediately felt at ease. She did a thorough exam and answered all my questions, I never felt rushed. She prescribed something that is already working and I like that you can email in their patient portal. I will definitely be making this my go to practice.

Johannes S.: Dr. Hudson and his team were extremely efficient and professional. I was concerned I might have skin cancer and he immediately addressed this concern telling me it was nothing to worry about. Another spot he diagnosed as a wart I initially wanted to treat this wart myself but changed my mind after leaving the treatment room. I would have been okay to come back to another appointment, since I had already refused treatment, but Dr. Hudson called me back into a treatment room and treated the wart the same day. I very much appreciate the professional and efficient service provided.

Regina Brown: I was in complete, desperate need to find a dermatologist, and most appointments were at least 4 months away for an initial appointment. I must have sounded very desperate because they were able to me an appointment the next from the date that I inquired. They saw me right away, accessed my issue and were able give me the treatment that I needed. The office is also very immaculate, the staff and doctor extremely professional and they have very comfortable waiting room chairs.

Monique Martin: I had tiny open skin lesions not a rash on my hand and was referred to see a dermatologist by my Primary Care Physician. I had to wait two months for an appointment and I met with PA Gina DeBlasco and discussed my concerns, she took a look at them stated I didn't have anything serious just a skin rash, but they are small individual sores. After two months they had healed but new ones develop in other places so I made sure to take pictures to show. As time had past I developed other lesions on my body under the arm and my neck and asked about the dark streaks in my finger nails and tried to show her but she just looked and said you are here because of the sore on your hands. She said to come back when I have a new lesion and they would take a sample and send it to the lab. The one on my neck was not healed so why not take a sample and if I had a question about my finger nail why not examine or take a closer look or explain? I do understand I am a person of color and may not necessarily be cancerous but something is going on with my skin. I can't help that after two month of me waiting to be seen that the sores healed. I felt some kind of way and especially when you only seen me for five minutes and tell me to come back when you get a fresh sore, but I'll just go to another dermatologist office and get a second opinion.

Had a 10:10 appointment, called be back at 10:05, saw the doctor and was out by 10:13. Love this practice.

Tiffany Wise: Dr. Burgess and her assistant, Jaclyn, are amazing. Additionally, all the office staff are very amazing and have excellent customer service. I’ve been coming here since December after some hair loss issues and they have gotten me on the best track to hair growth. Dr. Burgess is so sweet, easy to talk to, and answers all my questions without hesitation. I have always felt that she has been completely honest with me concerning my treatments. I always feel better when leaving. If your on the fence about coming, don’t be, set up an appointment. You won’t regret it!

Lizzie B: I was treated by this physician over a period of time and have been VERY DISSATISFIED with the poor quality of care that I have received. Since my termination of the professional relationship with Dr. Cheryl Burgess I have had my situation and condition evaluated by other dermatologists who have confirmed that whatever was injected into my face- and it is still questionable about what that was. This has left a permanent disfigurement on my face. It appears there was a breach between the patient-professional relationship. There are extremely long delays in her reception room and the private room before you see this doctor. The quality of medical records are inaccurate and poor.

Nevertheless, We only use FDA-cleared fillers and all of our fillers are tracked with a lot number and expiration date in the medical chart. Burgess with derma fillers and Botox and the results have always been very natural and satisfying.she also removed several moles and other small skin imperfections. Her experience in the techniques for injecting fillers gives me great comfort given the potential for serious consequences when injections are done by inexperienced people. Dott. Burgess always explain the procedures and has great bed manners. I highly recommend her.

Margaret Garson: I have been a patient of the office for hair removal. Dr. Burgess was fine. I wasn't blown away by her bedside manner, but I would go back to see her. Some of her staff, though, were less than friendly, including the laser hair technician. The reason for the fourth star, though, is that Dr. Burgess recommended some supplements for hair growth. They have worked beautifully for me. They also dramatically improved the quality of my toenails and fingernails. I definitely keep up with those purchases!

Eartha Govan: My experience with Dr. Burgess and her staff has been awesome every time. Dr. Burgess is a true professional and very knowledgeable dermatologist. She listened to my story and conducted research for resolutions. I love Dr. Burgess because she never gives up on trying to resolve my skincare issues. She is the greatest!! I highly recommend Dr. Burgess to all those experiencing skincare issues. She is a very sociable dermatologist with a pure personality to match her character.

Cee Dee: I knew there were going to be issues when I had difficulty even trying to get through to make an appointment as a new patient. The staff does not answer the phone and you have to call multiple times! I had to get a friend, who is a current patient, to call and let them know I had been trying to call to set up an appointment. They finally called me back... the next day after she called them. I finally get an appointment and go on my scheduled date. I had to wait over an hour past my scheduled time to be seen because Dr. Burgess was apparently stuck in traffic, according to her staff. When she finally arrives, she only sees me for 10-15 minutes max! Her go to recommendation right off the bat was the very strong, anti-acne medication that dries you up like a raisin! No "let's check out a few options for you before we put you on this very strong prescription medicine." That really irked me. On top of that, I still had to pay her ridiculous fee of $500, since she doesn't accept insurance outside of Medicare, and then she recommended I try her proprietary formula of face wash and hyperpigmentation pads, which, including the visit cost, end up totaling over $600. Her staff is not very friendly or engaging, especially the front desk people. They seemed very disinterested and bothered if you asked them a question. I will NOT be going back and do not recommend her!

Huriyet Anaz: 11/10/2010 - I called their office after reading their response to my below review. They spoke with me over the phone and said that I do not need to be seen by them and they believe me that after heir treatment I have more hair on my face. They said " this happens" and their treatment is based on experience and not always work. Doctor applies laser treatment based on her experience and some time s work sometimes does not. I have following points to make: - This doctor advertised and referred to me specializing in ethnic skin and were supposed to be better than other laser treatment facilities, they certainly charge at that rate of specialist. I was never told that there were a possibility the treatment might not wok even. I remember talking to doctor few times that treatments are not working and she kept bouncing between different laser machines to keep me going. - Doctor asked me to go back every 4 weeks to make the treatment look like works, in fact it did not. This way I kept going back and paying them thinking that it works. After 8 treatment stopping over two months I was able to see the real result of the treatments that was not working. - I went to see electrolysis after the phone conversation and received 15 min trial. They guarantee that all hair will go away. Pain is very manageable less than waxing or treading. 10/27/2010: My true and unfiltered experience: I was referred to her by my Dermatologist and told that she is an expert to treat facial hair removal of colored and ethnic skins. I have received total of eight (8) treatments, paid for seven (7) of them. One was complimentary. My first appointment she told the nurse that my treatment will be like some other client and facial hair will be gone in couple visits. We switched back and forward between two machines for the first four treatments. Those did not work, and she used third machine which I was told the best (that's the reason for complementary treatment, bringing this machine that late to use) which makes hair white after the treatment and all turned white hair to fall off after a while. My facial hair turned white as she said, however after couple months almost all of them back, strong and dark. I paid $5,000 and got nothing accomplished. Now, I am looking for an expert who can actually help me. I have melasma condition, and she treated me for that as well. I have being using products she provided and no major improvement. All these laser treatments were supposed to help, not much. I asked if chemical peeling could make it better and work, she said yes. I decided go for it. I had the similar experience with chemical peeling. Paid for the first treatment and did not work. During first treatment she told the nurse that I will be peeling like crazy, how my skin turned red, etc. My face did not peel at all. She did the second treatment for free, and it did not work as well. Peeled couple flakes, at best. I've just gave up and decided to share my experience. At this point, I do not believe there is much for me to do. Out of large amount of money, and got nothing in return.

David Dreyer: I have been an extremely satisfied DC Derm Docs patient for years. After my first visit I was able to stop my scalp from littering my clothing with debris. In annual subsequent visits I've been examined carefully and thoroughly to ensure that the sun hasn't left any markers indicating cancer, etc. No news items there, thankfully. Most recently they made time for me quickly to get treatment for a nasty case of poison ivy. The only ointment they prescribed began working the next day. It is a warm, friendly environment with staff who are unfailing attentive to the needs of their patients and a gas to be around. They are A+ in my book.

Yasmine Arrington: I had to have a cyst on my back removed that began causing me pain, and I was desperately looking for a dermatologist office in Washington, DC. I notice that now many dermatologist offices have automated voicemails that send you straight to voicemail. However, when I called DC Derm Docs after holding on the line for an operator, Mimi picked up and greeted me. I shared with her my issue and asked if the office was taking new clients at this time and if they had any available appointments that same day or the next day. Mimi was so kind and helpful and booked me an appointment for the very next day! Dr. Pabby, who I learned transitioned from Kaiser Permanente to DC Derm Docs, was extremely kind and took the time to explain to me what the procedure would require to remove the cyst and she was able to fit me in the same day for the procedure. The procedure went so smoothly and Dr. Pabby and I had a wonderful conversation even while she was operating on me. One of the practitioner assistants, Lydia, welcomed me into one of the medical rooms and was so kind from start to finish. Lydia gently cleaned up my newly stitched area post procedure and patched me up nicely with hydrogen peroxide, Neosporin and a bandage and gave me instructions on how to take care of the stitched wound to ensure that it heals properly and allows for easy removal of the stitches in a couple of weeks. Lastly, I also spoke with one of the technicians, Daniella, about facial/skin care treatments. She was also very pleasant and recommended for me the Diamond Glow and handed me an informative brochure! I am excited to receive my first detox/revitalization facial in a couple of weeks! As I was preparing to check out, Mimi checked in with me to ask about my experience, as she wanted to make sure that I had a pleasant one! Also, both Mimi and Dr. Pabby submitted my procedure and payment information to my healthcare provider to request a refund for me! DC Derm Docs was a full experience! I sincerely appreciated everyone's kindness and excellent customer service! I will definitely be returning back to DC Derm Docs for skin treatments and other cosmetic procedures! kian parsee: I almost never leave negative reviews but I really feel like I need to in this case. I have to say I'm so surprised about all these positive reviews. The receptions called me to setup an appointment. She was rushed and rude. After she took down my info I asked if I can expect to receive an email with the address and appointment details. She said I'd have to go online and find the address. I felt very uncomfortable with that response and asked her to cancel my appointment. She immediately hung up the phone on me! I can't believe this was the receptions of a Doctor office.

Marie Chase: Receptionist are extremely lazy. I placed a call to make an appointment and she told me to do it online. I input my info but could not book online so I called back and she tells me to just wait for them to call back because it gets confusing for her if I input my data online and then call to make an appointment. All she literally had to do was make the appointment as I was on the physical phone and then cancel whatever process she had me do online.

William Chisholm: Dr. Perkins is excellent! He has a great bedside manner and always listens completely. I feel he understands my derm issues, and mindset toward my health. He offers good observations & suggestions. His exam is complete and explanations are clear. The front desk staff is much more pleasant than past, making this quite a nice visit.

Thad Messenger: Dr Stollar doesn't waste a lot of time with niceties, but takes a straight-forward approach to tell you what to worry about, and what not to. I appreciate his matter-of-fact approach and being able to get into the appointment and out again on my lunch hour. The staff is his office seems to be a lot friendlier and more relaxed since the retirement of a former colleague doctor in the practice and the bringing on of a new one.

Kristy Penzone: Dr. Perkins is the best; he has immaculate attention to detail and will make sure that you walk out of his office feeling as though you got the care that you wanted. He always has time to listen and collaborate, and I’ve been nothing but extremely happy with his level of service. He goes above and beyond and truly cares about his patients. Would definitely recommend seeing him for all your dermatology needs.

roy shrobe: Office staff are courteous and efficient in a friendly manner. My appointment proceeded on time. Dr. Stolar is a superb physician who listens to my needs, responds with warmth, patience and concern.. His assistant provides appropriate prep for Dr. Stolar-an outstanding visit.

Reid MacHarg: The appointment was quick but 15 minutes late because the office couldn’t find my chart. The office helpfully validates parking and informs patients as much, but they don’t say that the validation is partial and parking is still $7. In meeting with Dr. Stolar, I learned that the previous course of treatment was ineffective and not designed to deal with the full scope of the problem. So good aspects, bad aspects, and a mixed bag overall. I look forward to getting my medical problem resolved and still trust Dr. Stolar to help with that.

Margaret Garson: I have been a patient of the office for many years, for both medical and cosmetic derm. Dr. Chang's bedside manner of both her and her medical staff are fantastic - truly the best I have ever experienced. Dr. Chang is empathetic and takes a reasonable amount of time with you. She is not a hard sell type of doctor. I have recommended a few good friends there who also have the same experience.

Gretajo Fricker: My experience at Integrated Dermatology was a pleasant one. I have been to many dermatologists. I appreciated being able to get an appointment on short notice. I was greeted by a friendly staff who made me feel very welcome. Dr. Chang was not available that day so I saw a PA instead, her name was Ali Sheets. I found Ali to be kind, knowledgeable and efficient. Ali addressed my skin cancer issues and informed me on some new procedures and products to look younger. I will definitely be going back to Integrated Dermatology!

Shannon Johnson: As a new patient with a terrible eczema flare up I was nervous to see the dermatologist. However, Dr. Garry (one of the PA's working in Dr. Chang's practice) was very comforting in assuring me we'd find a regime to cure my flare up. She looked over my rashes, communicated her diagnosis, explained the next steps, and repeatedly asked if I had any additional questions. Dr. Garry most certainly put me at ease and I am confident in her diagnosis and her plan for rehabilitation. The office environment and staff were clean, friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The aide (I'm not sure of her title) who assisted me before Dr. Garry saw me was super nice and understanding. The whole office team was a GREAT team to interact with.

Stefanie Weiss: I like Dr. Chang and appreciate how willing she is to spend the time explaining things and answering questions, but I have found her far too aggressive in her approach to treatment for my tastes. If you have a strong feeling that we overtreat patients in this country, Dr. Chang is not the doctor for you. If you want absolutely everything done to protect you from any future health concern, she's great.

Ivan R: Maybe I am just unlucky, but I have now visited this dermatolgist three times, and got what I call BAD service three times in a row. In all three visits, I never managed to see the MD. I was immediately sent to an assistant physician (I have multiple fast growing pre-cancerous moles - whic begs the question of how ill you need to be before being upgraded to an MD visit). First the receptionists are not exactly warm. Having an attitude is more like what they think is an acceptable norm. Second, in all three visits, I was asked to wait for 15min to 25 min. When I asked why I had to wait for so long, the receptionist gave me a very cold stare that meant GO SIT DOWN. Third, the assistant physician, while nice and friendly, lacks experience and could at least be overseen by the MD. She ignored a developing rash that I had shown her, which forced me to seek separate treatment. She proceeded to biopsy tests by removing some skin and in doing so , gug so deeply in the tissues that my skin took three weeks to heal (btw she removed the skin without even removing unwanted hair on the way). All this is very amateurish and surprising. I would not recommend this dermatologist.

Brian Woodward: Have visited Dr. Chang twice for yearly mole examination, and each time the staff has been helpful & friendly, the wait times to see Dr. Chang are under 10 minutes and Dr. Chang herself was thorough, efficient, and friendly. I would highly recommend Integrated Dermatology to anyone based on my experiences.

Rebecca Burton: I have been going to integrated dermatology for years now. Always great service. They helped me through Accutane treatment when I was younger and have always provided great care.

Grow Media DDT.: I didn't have a great experience here. Shejust didn't help me with my acne. She gavels topicals, the. Antibiotics.. She told me something was wrong with my acute??? Ok well I been stopped going to this place, now I go to the dermatology of Bethesda, best place to go, my fave is doing fine now after all that waste of time going here.

Isabelle Xu: Worst experience ever. I still have several hundreds of dollars worth of credit with this doctor that I am not going to spend... of course they are not going to return the credit to me. Instead of offering me proper treatment, this doctor wants to squeeze me in for an "extra" appointment. Not to say that the previous treatment did not turn out well.

Nathan George: Dr. G was very thorough checking for potential signs of skin cancer and assessing dry skin. However the instructions he gave were incredibly confusing and difficult to hear with his assistants talking in the background (no written instructions were given). The appointment was VERY rushed and there was hardly any dialogue. Despite trying to reach out to his office, I did not get a follow up to confirm the prescribed instructions.

Omer Yildirim: The most incompetent doctor’s office I have ever seen in my life. After waiting all that time in the waiting room, he diagnosed my condition in a few seconds and prescribed something that had a horrible effect on me. The cream I was prescribed made the small yeast infection on my arms much worse. Now it’s all over my arms. It was so worse I could not sleep all night. I called the doctor’s office in the morning and all they could say was to go to the emergency room. Thanks a lot for the worst medical advice.

David Frensham Yates: I tried contacting Forefront dermatology and V. Giannelli about the issues explained below. They have not bothered to respond to me and no explanation about the issues. Really poor conduct from him and this office. I strongly suggest to find a professional and patient oriented dermatologist in the DMV area, of which there are many, at better cost that don’t mess you around. I’ve since found a much better provider. Feel free to send me message and happy to share the information and save you time and bother rather than wasting time and money and your health. — I’ve had several appointments at Forefront. It’s a very busy office and the front office staff are very professional and courteous. Apart from this my experience has been below the service standards and not great. You will see that hung up in the waiting area are magazine covers of the great doctor. If only my actual patient experience matched his stature. This is basically a conveyor belt operation. Having seen dermatologists is different cities and countries I’ve never seen anything like this. Key point about this place is that the patient care and service you will receive is low. After about 10 appointments I must have had less than 10 minutes of time with the doctor, very little opportunity to speak or ask questions, or even taking time to examine. The time I’ve spent waiting is almost the same as the time I’ve had with the doc. The doctor has a tendency of saying his piece for 1 minutes and walking out to see the next patient, no greeting, no “how do you feel? let us know how you find the treatment, feel free to call us if you have any concerns”. He has walked out abruptly to the next patient on many occasions which I find incredibly rude, completely unacceptable and simply lacking in any form of patient care that one should reasonably expect. At the very least I would expect the doctor to ask me if I have any questions and just outline next steps in the treatment. He doesn’t bother to ask. Any doctor with any competence will ask a patient before the end of an appointment whether you have any questions, instead of walking out. Very disappointing and unprofessional conduct and given the amount I am paying for each visit this is simply a waste of money. If he can’t even be bothered to spend at least 5 minutes with a patient and ask the right questions this is an issue. The doctor has become very complacent in his practices in dealing with patients for whatever reasons, maybe he doesn’t have to worry about demand when it is already very oversubscribed, so you can afford to treat some patients with minimum effort and treat them in a rude way. You have been warned. Be prepared in the worst case for very little personal patient care, to intervene to have your views heard, to interrupt the doctor to get the most out of the little time you are given. The high volume of patients they are packing in every day to hit their income targets comes at a price clearly. To Forefront dermatology: It would be appreciated if you could please take note that when a patient books an appointment, it is expected that s/he will want at least 5-10 minutes of the doctor’s time to discuss and that for a doctor to walk out of the room repeatedly and not give sufficient time to the patient and provide an opportunity to talk about why they came in the first place is far from what a patient’s experience should be, for what are expensive medical appointments. Also, try to spend some time to get to know your patients better and build a good rapport. You will find that this builds confidence and it will be beneficial for your clinic. A T: I was experiencing severe allergic reactions that started out of nowhere in late 2020. He helped me understand what was happening with my skin and the issues I need to be aware of. As well as prescribe me appropiate medication. He even helped me narrow down alternatives to moisturizer my skin. He was very attentive, professional, and detailed. Another thing I appreciated is his preparation prior to talking with me, I could tell he had referenced my chart or history prior to our discussions. Great dermatologist that I would recommend to anyone!

Erin Kelley: Dr. Suah is amazing - I wish more doctors out there were like him. He is a great doctor - professional, helpful, responsive, clear, a great communicator and makes himself available to patients. If you're looking for a dermatologist I wouldn't look any further. I am not in the habit of leaving reviews for doctors so this should be an indicator of how much I appreciated Dr. Suah's care.

Peijen Wang: It was my first visit and it was great. Dr. Suah was very attentive and confident with his treatment plan so I like that a lot. I went to see him because of a friend's referral and since my overall experience was pretty good, I definitely would recommend the practice.

Milly Jimenez Cabrera: First, I have to say that I have seen three dermatologist who actually were no use to me. They made me feel more insecure about my skin then I already am. I've visited both the DC Office and the Alexandria Office. As soon as I walked in to Dr. Braun's Office, I received nothing but smiles. Starting from the receptionist, to the nurse (Shelby) and Dr. Braun, they all made me feel so comfortable. They made me feel as if I wasn't even there for skin issues and I walked out smiling. This is huge for me. They are the best and I will never go elsewhere.

Sheda is my favorite "photorejuvenationist" with the BBL laser and I always look forward to the "before and after" photos. If you're looking for the "best" dermatology practice in the DC area, Dr. Isaac's is it!

Sab Rina: I chose Mi Skin Dermatology Center because I saw online that the doctor was a board certified dermatologist. The consultation was free and I met with a nurse, who told me she would also be doing the procedure. The nurse was great during the consultation and the procedure. I decided on traditional micro needling for face and neck that they charge $850 (thats for ONE individual session, I originally thought that included my first 3 sessions, it does not). I also had to buy a $200 serum. I’m disappointed after the procedure for a few reasons. I never even met the board certified dermatologist, which is the entire reason I went there. I would have loved if she would’ve at least looked at my skin and provided her input. I never received a call from the center to follow up on my healing or to even schedule my next appointment. I called myself multiple times and never received a call back. I’m disappointed in the lack of customer service. I paid $1050 for a 30 minute procedure and no follow up. I might as well have went somewhere else for the same procedure and paid less.

J Scranton: I have been a patient of Dr. Issac for over 15 years. She has is amazing and my skin has never looked better! I have had regular annual skin checks, derm abrasion, peels and different laser treatments. For many of these treatments I have had Dr. Issac's technician, Laura helping. Laura has always made me feel comfortable, thoroughly explained the procedure, answered my questions even if they seemed silly to me and helped to ease my concerns all while having a smile and the most positive attitude. Laura is truly one of kind.

Gen Suplee: I originally came to this office to see Dr. Holmes, but the next available appointment wasn’t for a few months. The receptionist offered an appointment with Joshua Pan, PA. Meeting with Josh quite literally changed my skin and my life. Prior to coming here, I had seen another derm in DC that had great reviews and decades of experience. He ruined my skin. When I came to see Josh, he was patient, understanding, and listened intently to my concerns and questions. Josh prescribed me medications that truly worked wonders and I finally feel good about my skin again :’). If you’re wondering whether you should go here, the answer is yes!

Rosa Taylor: Joanna was very rude over the phone as I try to book an appointment. Dr. Holmes is very professional, knowledgeable and in my opinion the best dermatologist in the city. However, I did not like how I was spoken to by the front desk staff.

Kaylee Scarim: Insanely bad customer service here, would never go back. Impossible to reach them by phone (called for months just to make an appointment) and forget about them answering your email requests for appointments as well. The times I was able to make an appointment I always felt Dr. Holmes was rushed. She brushed off my concerns about newly developed heart palpitations following a medication she put me on - when I visited another provider for a second opinion they were extremely concerned and conducted a very thorough exam. They were amazed when I told them the prescribing doctor was unconcerned.

Field Records USA: During my visit to Dr. Holmes Office in July, 2020. Dr. Holmes and her staff were very safe, prompt and efficient. My temperature was taken at the door and I noticed at a glance that each chair was Social Distanced at 6 ft. apart and everyone wore masks. After my co-pay was taken within no time at all, I was seen by Dr. Holmes. I also would like to add that Dr. Yolanda Holmes is very knowledgeable in regards to Dermatological issues, and I truly feel that Dr. Holmes enjoys working with her staff, she loves her profession and she really cares about her patients. Until I became a regular did I understand how well functioning the office is and how accommodating they are; the waiting area can fill up fast because she is great demand, but they keep patients moving along with reasonable speed on the busiest days. Dr. Holmes has a warm and inviting personality and she is extremely knowledgeable. The extraneous services also offered in-office are great. (Ask for Ivy). Can't say enough, but definitely 5 stars. Location is also convenient and prices are competitive for any out of pocket costs.

Kimberly Foster -DJS-: The customer service here is by far the worst that I have experienced and I haven't even come into the office. I call to schedule a new patient appointment and I am hung up on initially. I call back and I am placed on hold in the middle of the receptionist taking my information and I have been on hold for 10 MINUTES. This is beyond ridiculous. I value working with a black doctor, especially when it comes to understanding matters of black skin, but if this doctor does not manage higher expectations of the front staff I'm sure she will loose many more patients.

Gordon Hurlbut: I haven’t seen Dr. Perkins in four years. I had used him previously for a problem that took a year to correct. As always he is one of the best dermatologist I’ve ever been to. I went in for a mold check today because something appeared on my skin luckily it wasn’t anything to worry about. And then he saw some thing on my leg that I would’ve never noticed. He did a biopsy but the whole time as always he gave me a positive attitude and let me know that if there was anything wrong he would be calling personally. I have seen him for about 15 years and would never go to another dermatologist. I also love Sylvia at the front desk as she always puts a smile on my face

Response: This must be a fake review. We have no record of this person every being seen by Dr. Perkins nor anyone at MetrodermDc. More importantly, Dr. Perkins only practices with positive body image and self- identity and is an ally for his patients. Neither Dr. Perkins nor anyone at MetrodermDC would ever be disrespectful to any patient and certainly would never tell a patient that they are fat or use such words or phrases. There are dermatological diagnoses that can be associated with metabolic conditions such as diabetes, and endocrine disorders which can cause weight challenges. It is uncommon, but as a physician, sometimes Dr. Perkins has the difficult task to discuss these issues, but he would only discuss them with the utmost care, empathy and consideration to best help his patients improve their health, wellbeing and skin.

Anitra White: My experience with the Cultura Surgical Center was very miss leading. I was told I will see results in the treatments. This is my forth treatment, and I honestly don’t see any difference in my skin, this treatment was around $1500 I’ve had treatments from Dermatologist in the past, I honestly expected more or to say the least better results. In my experience, this was by far a waste of money and time, NOTHING has changed since coming to them 4 months ago, when I expressed them my concern that the treatments aren’t working, they then added I will need more treatments costing over $3000.00 Why would some pay for extra treatments if you’re not seeing results in the first 4 treatments?? Don’t waste your money! On a few positive notes, The office is very clean, people are nice, welcoming and professional. Parking was easy to find, great location. There is this one employee I would like to mention by the name Ashley, I wouldn’t bother having her do ANY of your valuation for treatments, she caused ALOT of confusion and was very messy, energy was negative, She’s the reason why I did receive all the full treatments needed. When I addressed this matter, they all tried to cover for her lack of professionalism. You simply can’t trust establishments that allow their employees to not hold themselves accountable, Mrs. Battles decided to do the treatments, to diminish all that occurred, I enjoy her, sweet, personable and gentle. However, I don’t feel like all the Area’s have been treated. This is why you don’t pay first, just in case you’re not satisfied and allow them to make the adjustments, but I’m sure if I haven’t paid already they would have denied treatment and so would I, Nonetheless, Black owned Its so difficult to support our own. Pictures of my treatments and the room I get my treatments done at.

Lia Burrell: I had a great consultation for cool sculpting with Chastity. She was very friendly and transparent about the procedure. I had to reschedule my original appointment but the receptionist was very understanding. Finally on my appointment day I was very relieved to see Chastity again. She performed my procedure and answered my questions about other procedures I am considering. I will be back!!

Alicia Manning: Dr. Tamara Lowe is phenomenal! Her attention to detail is bar none. She also consistently provides a thorough explanation for questions I pose concerning various treatments and what's best for my skin. I drive 3 hours each way for appointments at Cultura. Dr. Lowe makes it worth every bit of the drive.

Brittnee King: I have been receiving treatments from Cultura for about 5 years and I continuously applaud this practice for being an amazing place for specializing in the care of melanin! In my experience, the staff has always been professional, honest, and friendly. I highly recommend booking your next appointment with them.

Habitually Hilari: I always get a great outcome from Cultura. I continue to go here because they are results oriented and intentional about the treatments and methods. If I could change one thing, it would definitely be the demeanor of the office staff. They have recently hired more personable people since the early days but there are a few people who work in this office that must lead a miserable daily life. I wish them well, but I truly hate encountering people with toxic dispositions in the service industry. It’s very disruptive to my energy and unprofessional at best.

linda riggins: I was late to my appointment, somehow i put the wrong time in my phone. I drove an hour to get there. They were extremely professional and were able to accommodate me anyway, whew, because I had only been waiting two years to get through COVID to see them. Afrika greeted me and was so sweet and when I told her the meter wasn't working in front of the building she said she would keep an eye on my car just in case. I saw Sally for my complexion blending. I've never had laser treatments before, ooh it hurt because my Hyperpigmentation is bad. I was very pleased with the service I received and although I have a few more treatments, I would highly recommend them.

Raquel Punter: Very friendly and helpful. I had questions about a reaction to one of the creams that I was given. And upon the aestheticians investigation, it was found out that I was using them incorrectly. After setting me straight, we continued on with my appointment. I'm so thankful for the instruction and how they take great care of their guests

During my last treatment, it was founded that I needed to take a break after undergoing 8 treatments, my skin was very sensitive to this last treatment. I will take a break and finish my last treatment. I have definitely seen a change. All in all, I love ❤️ the staff. Great Team! I will definitely use other services I feel I need.

Mo Ev: I have been a client for over ten years on and off. Recently, I had a bad acne outbreak and made so many mistakes trying to fix it the past six months. I made an appointment with my favorite, Tamara and in less than a week of applying what she prescribed, I am already seeing OBVIOUS results! The price for the services offered by Cultura are certainly worth it based on the return.

Rori Malech: I’m done with this doctor and her terrible staff. I don’t know why I held on so long. The Dr. doesn’t return calls even when medications are running out. I had a serious problem and a serious reaction to medication. I even stopped by in person while in the building to get a response after 5 business days of no return call, and still no response. I can’t even get my files in a timely manner to see another doctor. And she prescribes medication without any concern as to cost.

Gwen P: Dr. Read's office staff is professional and courteous, respecting your privacy. Dr. Read is a compassionate, knowledgeable, thorough doctor who listens and then explains in a clear and understanding manner, seeking medical solution(s). I credit Dr. Read with taking care of a medical issue I had been experiencing for some time, which she was able to diagnose and provide me with a treatment plan that worked exceptionally well, to clear up the issue! I highly recommend Dr. Sandra Read.

Nancy Palumbo: I have had nothing but a good experience at this office from the front desk, to the managing staff, to the doctor. Dr. Read listens to the issues and explains her diagnosis in plain English. I never feel rushed out of the office, which is very important to me. The front desk is always friendly and makes it a very pleasant overall experience.

Robert Andrews: I like Dr. Read. Her office sometimes runs slowly. There are often a lot if patients and it can sometimes take some time to be seen (though sometimes in my experience there isn't much of a wait). Most importantly, Dr. Read is smart and caring. And incidentally her staff is pleasant.

Laura Greenwood: Avoid. The Dr. spends zero time with you and hardly examines you. She had the wrong chart and almost attempted to biopsy the wrong site. She makes you come in for multiple office visits that could have ben combined for what I can only believe is an attempt to bill for more visits. Her office staff are far from professional and requires you to complete the EXACT SAME in take form EACH TIME. I now go to another practice and the experience is night and day! See another derm!

Brandi Jones: Unfriendly, horrible bedside manner with little to offer cystic acne sufferers in lieu of a cortisone shot to reduce the swelling, if you beg. After leaving in tears and being comforted by the front desk staff after a particular visit, I concluded enough was enough. Avoid and seek the compassionate, highly skilled care team at Medstar Dermatology in Friendship Heights, specifically Christine DeWitt and Meaghan Canton who I consider the best in town -- after years of searching. I now receive compliments on. my skin and have a reliable regimen of products that maintain my improvement. Either provider mentioned is stellar.

Tedi Doychinova: No wonder this place has the rating that it has. Their customer service is an abomination. One of the worst in DC. I’m horrified by their unwillingness to assist patients. Or even try to pretend to care.As an example of their unprofessional nature, one of the office assistants hung up on me. Will not be recommending their services.

Zoe W: AWFUL! STAY AWAY! Completely phones it in. Misdiagnosed me, made my condition worse. Rude, dismissive, arrogant. I could go on and on. Worst experience ever.

Pete Sather: Dr. Kupiec has been my dermatologist for over 8 years. She is extremely professional and her staff is always helpful. She has also treated our entire family. Very good doctor.

Ludette: Maria Bertagnolli, Greg and Suriya attended to my medical needs. Everyone is accommodating. Excellent customer service from the entire crew. Feels like I've been a patient in that office for years!

MJ: I don’t normally write reviews for doctors, but this place does not deserve the low rating. I had an abnormal mole, and most dermatologists weren’t getting me in for 3 months. Georgetown Dermatology got me in the next day. Maria, the nurse practitioner, was extremely thorough and kind. They took off the mole I was concerned about and another that looked abnormal. I received results in two weeks, and Maria took the time to explain them clearly and answer all my questions. I never felt like I was being rushed off the phone, like I have been with other doctors. I highly recommend and will keep going here for my checkups! They also took many Covid precautions, and I felt safe going amidst the pandemic.

Charles Bernstein: Georgetown Dermatology saved my life. I had a tiny white spec on my lip. General Dr. thought it was a cold sore. He said let’s just check with Dermatologist. It could have been easily over looked. It was cancer. I had successful surgery to remove and they saved my life. I will forever be grateful.

She spent a generous amount of time listening to my concerns, answering questions and explaining treatment and procedure. The environment in the office is very welcoming, calming and professional. Joan Leclerc: Well, I do not understand why all the negative reviews.! I had been looking for a medical dermatologist,not a cosmetic one. Having read,online, Dr. Kauffman's background,, I called to make an appointment. .when it was explained that I could not,for medical reasons,wait a. Month, I was put in within a few days. I was there for two hours,was carefully and thoroughly examined by Dr Kauffmann. She diagnosed,discussed thoroughly ., I had a small biopsy carefully done and was instructed fully on care at home. I was also given enough supplies for a few days.,not just one.....they observed that I am not strong,gave me Juice and granola bars,and insisted,rightly, that I be taken to the taxi by wheelchair. I have some medical background ..and was beyond Satisfied. I cannot speak about the other doctor in the practice.The nurse practitioner was professional,knowledgeable,and kind. Every member of the staff was so.. I would highly recommend Dr..Kauffman.

Kathy Schwartz: I recently switched dermatology offices and am so pleased to be seeing Dr. Kauffman. Everyone in the office is pleasant and helpful, and Dr. Kauffman is not only highly skilled but she is good at explaining what is going on. And I am grateful that the office feels like a medical practice rather than a spa, which is unfortunately how many dermatologist offices feel these days.

Christine Han: It was my first time at the practice and the wait was awfully long. I arrived 20 minutes before my appointment time to fill out new patient paperwork. I sat from 10:40 to 11:30 before I was even taken back. During that time another patient stormed out into the waiting around and angrily said to us "good luck! She had me waiting an hour!" After being taken back at 11:30, I waited in the examination room until 12:20. Around 12:05, the nurse practitioner popped her head in and said, "are you all right? I'll be back in 2 minutes." I thought, what's another two minutes. I've already been waiting an hour. But she took 15 more minutes to come in. She came in and did her consultation, at which point it dawned on me that I wasn't going to be seeing either doctor. When I asked about it, the nurse practitioner said to me "no but I can have her come in and say hi if you like." I also work in health care and was very disappointed that this wasn't made very clear at the time the appointment was made or when I arrived and checked in. It's nothing against the nurse practitioner, who seemed knowledgable in this field and very professional, but when you call a dermatology office and make an appointment to see a dermatologist, it's disappointing that they don't have time for you. I finally left after checking out at 1:00 pm. Overall I did not like my experience here, thought the wait was outrageous, and will be seeking out a new dermatologist to see in the future.

Friend Squirrel: Doctors were rude to staff in front of patients. Began discussing inappropriate political topics. Medical staff was kind but the experience was uncomfortable to say the least.

Julia Sandler: Staff was rude. Refused to bill, could provide absolutely no quote for services whatsoever, and would not admit to their scheduling mistakes. Save yourself the time and go somewhere else.
