El Cielo: what do users think?

Hannah Ongman: This was the most incredible culinary experience of my life. My partner and I partook in “The Journey” with an additional anniversary drink special, and we were absolutely blown away from start to finish. I can’t name a single dish or step we didn’t thoroughly love, and we kept agreeing that many of these dishes were the best “X” (soup, gnocchi, eggplant, etc.) we had ever tasted. We are both vegetarian, and the thoughtful shifts in menu items to accommodate us were incredible. Each and every dish (and cocktail!) was crafted to perfection and the staff were extraordinarily kind and accommodating. I will absolutely come here again to see what other magic the brilliant chef and staff create, and would encourage anyone considering a splurge to indulge in this experience.

Rebecca Chapin: Absolutely fantastic, my new favorite restaurant in DC! We’ve been twice and each time our meal was extremely creative with amazing flavor. The valentines special had some extra surprises that I won’t spoil here. As a Colombian restaurant, the menu isn’t quite like any other fine dining in DC. Expect chewy tapioca flower bread and seafood as staples. The portions are good, if you have a small stomach you might have to ration space. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The only area of improvement I could think of is the meal timing. Some courses had a bigger wait between them than seemed intended. For me food comes first though, and the food is fantastic, so the timing isn’t a big deal.
Response: Thanks so much for your opinion and support.

Kevin A: My girlfriend and I dined here mid June 2022. We had an amazing time. Each and every dish was delicious and so flavorful. Well worth the price tag. Four and a half hour experience. All of the staff were excellent. Top notch service. The wine pairing was fabulous and so were the cocktails. Best dining experience we’ve ever had. If you’re thinking about it, highly recommend, it is worth the memorable experience.

Clarissa Dudley: What a phenomenal dining experience! The chefs artistry was on display from the moment we sat down to our rose covered table. I won't put any spoilers in this review but suffice it to say this was a gastronomic delight. We were extremely well cared for by the very knowledgeable staff. Daniella, Alejandro, Yasmin and Anita made us feel like we were home in Columbia and the bartenders made every cocktail an experience to remember!

Nikolas G: We did the El Cielo "experience" and all in with wine pairings, tax, and mandatory 20% tip we spent roughly $1000 for a dinner for two. My wife and I have done nearly every high end fixed price experience in D.C. and I bring that comparative lens to this review. So this review does not assess whether El Cielo is a good restaurant (it is) or whether it deserves a Michelin star (it does). Instead this review is whether the "experience" is worth $1000. In short I'd say no, it's not worth the charge. My "experience" started by arriving to a locked door. There were staff in view and they ignored us while we waved at them and knocked on the door. They left us outside until another patron opened the door and we came inside for our reservation. I said, "Why is the door locked?" To which the hostess replied "We know, thank you.". What a bizarre opening to what one would hope to be a once in a lifetime meal. We then were asked to sit in chairs by the door and wait for our table in an essentially vacant restaurant. They kept us there while another couple knocked on the locked door whom they ignored as they knocked and then brushed that couple off again when they asked why the door was locked. We were seated and enjoyed a wonderful series of appetizer courses. The wine pairing is a bit too light at the front end as you get only a small glass of white wine for the first 6-8 courses. The main courses were a delight. As expected the food was excellent. I would have passed on the "experience" in favor of the tasting menu. The extra charge is for a chocolate hand wash, a "lick your plate" dish which felt a bit uncomfortable to me but my wife enjoyed, and mediocre coffee served over dry ice. The atmosphere is also questionable, they have music playing very loudly and with all the servers masked it was nearly impossible to hear the explanations of the dishes (which are complex) additionally, they have reached a point of unfortunate efficiency where guests are moved through the meal assembly line style. Dishes are not served in the order of the menu but instead in whatever order is most convenient for the kitchen. The servers, while very friendly, seemed more focused on efficiency rather than the quality of the guest experience.. The meal ended with a surprise additional $30 bill for the water we drank with dinner. I suppose they couldn't afford to include the bottled water with our prepaid $1000 check. In closing, the food was great but you can have food as good at any number of high end establishments in DC for $300-400 (or far less) for two with pairings, instead try Tail Up Goat, Duck Duck Goose or even Pineapple and Pearls. Save your money, don't buy the hype. El Cielo is not worth what they charge.
Response: Hello Mr NG: Can you please send us an email dc@elcielogroup.com, sorry for any incovenience, apologies if you have some issue with the weather and if your wait was so long outside. However, we try to bring the best to our customers every single service but the dynamics of the restaurant change day by day, hour after hour, we have a plenty list of happy customers And we are sorry about your complain. The main door is ever lock for security reasons. But La Cosecha has another entry that connect to Elcielo's Bar and it is ever open, somethings between seatings (special the saturday) we need to check if any table is ready before to give the table to the diners. The beverages in the menus at not includes, with a formal email and your personal information we can check what happened with you and to bring a better customer service that for this way. Please send us some email and brings us another opportunity under our invitation. Best Regards,

Alex Loja: Amazing Colombian experience, El Cielo is so much more than just a restaurant; It is an experience that everyone have to live. Chef Juanma, chef Sebastian, their entire kitchen team and dining room team make every second unique. Every bite, every glass of wine & every breath are new emotions. And the story behind gastronomy is authentic. Thank you all, it has been an honor to be able to visit you and live the experience El Cielo⭐️🇨🇴

Rouben Gregorian: As the name suggests, this is one of the most amazing dining experiences in the DC area. Unlike other restaurants of this caliber, El Cielo truly takes you on a culinary tour around Columbia. The food is superb, the drinks are one of a kind, and the experience is literally equivalent to a show. The presentations are incredible, and the staff do an amazing job of letting their love for the food show as they present each dish with its own unique story.
Response: thank you for you review, we are so grateful to have received such recognition from our wonderful customers. We´d love to see you next season when we update our menu

Raven: We loved our experience at El Cielo. Every single dish was delicious (even though we couldn't finish all of it because we were absolutely stuffed by the time the bigger dishes started rolling in). The different food experiences were super fun! The staff was very attentive and efficient. The wine pairings were good. Really great service, they even charged my husband's phone for him. We visit a lot of Michelin Star restaurants and this one definitely stood out in terms of creativity. We will be coming back.
Response: Thanks so much for your support and opinion.

J Iwatsubo: Incredible experience. My partner and I are absolute foodies and truly enjoyed our experience here. We were mind blown with the chef with every single dish, enjoyed the staff, and overall had a blast celebrating our anniversary. We are so excited to come back :)!!!
Response: Thank you for your support! We are gracious to receive such a compliment. We would love to serve you again soon!

Patrick Slack: I wish I could give this more stars. This was such a lovely, playful, and delicious meal. The waitstaff was so lovely and absolutely made our evening. My girlfriend and I were celebrating our anniversary and they went all out to help us celebrate. Many thanks to everyone for such a wonderful meal, experience, and memory

La'Colombiana Restaurant & Lounge: what do users think?

Jose Guzman: Worst Bandeja Paisa ever! Everything was cold I rather to bite my chancla instead of the steak! For the price they charge for it, I was expecting something better! First and last time I order something from this place

Jon Garcia: Not Colombian in any way, shape or form other than in it's name. The food wasn't authentic nor was the music/vibe. They didn't even carry any of the traditional Colombian sodas. The food was at least edible, but even that's pushing it. This is not an angry rant. The customer service was great, but if you're looking for real Colombian food please save yourself the trip.

Roberto D: At first I was very skeptical about the place as it was empty and dead when we went in but decided to give it a shot. To our surprise the food was delicious and the natural juice although a bit pricey was worth it. The owner was doing everything. I recommend her to have a better atmosphere and get more people to go. Maybe Groupon is a good alternative to get the buzz going since many people don't even know about this place.

Tarik Smith: Meh food. Steak was tough. Wife didn't like tacos. Server was nice. Little too expensive in y opinion.

Nury Criollo: Walked in, only 1 other table had people in it sat down and waited about 10 mins before someone came to ask if we were ok and took our drink order and was told since the food was fresh it would take probably 20 mins for food to come out. Once we got those we placed an order to a picada. Waited about 1hr and got a small place of chicken pieces, 5 chorizo pieces a couple beef ones on top of romaine lettuce with some yuca. Horrable service plate not worth the $25 it was advertised for ESPECIALLY when half the stuff on the menu wasnt even served.

james alexander: Great food, ambience, service. Clean and open. Bathroom always in order and presentable. In the heart of Silver Spring. All that is missing is a boat dock to park my LST landing craft with hundreds more customers. FYI: La Colombiana is overhauling their menu my expanding selections to include more soups, sandwiches, salads and Colombian desserts. Ando la bandeja Paisa is my favorite I'm eager to try something new from the Colombiana kitchen.

Angel Sosa: Service was terrible, and food was too expensive. The waitress was on her phone while taking out order, and forgot one of our orders. Just terrible service, I will not be stepping one foot in there ever again. It's more of a Bar than a restaurant, she was really friendly with the guys that were drinking, but just unfriendly with us.

Martin Valencia: I was excited to have found a NEW Colombian restaurant in the DMV, so hard to find. Where can I start? Entirely disappointing. Good thing I did not bring my son with me. It would have been terrible he got to see the worse COLOMBIA can offer. It was all in this "restaurant". It maybe different in other days, but SUNDAYS... DON"T GO there unless you want to be surrounded by drugs, men smoking pot outside right next to the restaurant and making drug deals in the open on the phone and with cars passing by. Worse yet, instead of a "Bandeja Paisa" you'll get a bunch of drunks and a drug infested establishment. Keep AWAY, specially if you go there with your family. We ordered a "pescado con arroz de coco", fish wtih coconut rice. Guess what? No arroz con coco, just regular rice it's what we were told. We asked for tostones since it seemed like a safe choice, we got tostones with no salsa...and the food was disgusting... left the plates. I wanted to give this place a chance and we sat outside since inside there were just a bunch of drunks at the bar. Como Colombiano me sentí como si estuvieramos en el peor lugar en una esquina de barrio popular. Que tristesa y más todavía, me dio pena ajena. De veras que si esto es lo mejor que este establecimiento puede ofrecer, no creo que estará abierto pa' largo. Necesita ser clausurado...

erik rodriguez: Out of all the Colombian places in the area this one is the best. The food is great the waiter is friendly everything is good. We'll be back most .

Jan Leon: Very generous portions of food for a good price. They also do Uber Eats and other delivery services.

Ritchie's Colombian Restaurant: what do users think?

katrina wong: Food was soooooo good. Tasty. Even the white rice tasted so so good. Must have added some sort of taste. Ppl are friendly. Very authentic Columbian food.

Alu Hall: Colombian Food. This place was a little hard to find and parking was a pain. The customer service wasn’t that great. The food was okay, I wouldn’t give it 5 stars. But if you’re looking for Colombian food come check this place.

Maria Tromp: Originally born in Colombia I can honestly say this restaurant truly offers authentic Colombian food. I was amazed by the decor , but was truly eager on trying the delicious food. The perro caliente brought me back to my hometown Barranquilla, when I used to enjoy them . The Sopas de Cola reminds me of the soup my mom makes ❤️ . Not only was the food incredibly delicious and authentic , but the service provided by the owners was incomparable to any service I have received in a family owned business. I’m summary , if you’re trying to get transported to the delicious food and service provided in Colombia , this restaurant is a MUST !

S. K. Hill: Definitely a great Colombian restaurant. Since I am a frequent traveler to Colombia, I can appreciate delicious Colombian food while at home in the DMV.

D'Atra Montgomery: All in all, this was a good experience. We tried the Ropa Vieja, Carne Asada, Chicharrones and empanadas. First time having Colombian food in Maryland and it was a nice experience, however I wish the menu was laid out better. I’m sure if you’re use to the language or food , it’s not a big deal. However I’m thinking of people who are looking to try something new and want to branch out!

Ronak Patel: Friendly employees and great service. Not to mention the really nice empanadas. The decor of the restaurant is also very cool. I’d recommend coming here to try some good Colombian food.

Erick Hensen: Excellent food, I already went there 3 times. Is the best Colombian restaurant in the DMV. Try the bandeja paisa, sobrebarriga or the beans casserole.

Vanessa Valencia: Awesome, authentic Colombian Food! The portion sizes are HUGE and it has really good flavor! The owners are very friendly and the service was fast. We found a new gem💎💎 in MD! 😋😋😋😋😋😋😋

Frank Serrano BSc Engr: There's no way to bring your service dog, they take you out!.Today they run out of bakery!Poor location, parking depends on the front plaza (not free, except on sundays)Not a business to recommend.

Carmen Elena Bautista: From the inviting space, to the colorful and tasteful decorations this place is an eye catcher. Once inside the service is fast and diligent which leaves me to the food. Oh my god! Words can't do it justice, this food is the most authentic Colombian cuisine I've tasted in a while. It was without a doubt PERFECT. If you enjoy yummy food and have been curious about latin american food, or if you're just looking for a nice place to enjoy a midday snack with fruit juice and a quick empanada do yourself a favor and swing by, I promise it'll be worth it.

La Fonda Paisa: what do users think?

Suradee Thongkiattikul: If you want a simple breakfast fare at a local bodega, then this is it. This is a very unassuming place where the breakfast staple is the humble egg with some rice and beans and maybe chorizo on the side. We tried the cheese arepa and it was a bit dry, but their empanadas were pretty good (chicken and beef). You can browse the rest of the market while you wait for your food to be prepared, they have a fairly decent selection of snackage. The place is clean and the staff were friendly. We tried one of the dessert pastry and it was a bit stale, yet still surprisingly delicious.

Laura Alexandra: This place is the best! Great service, delicious food and it has a very large variety of products! I ordered buñuelos, Colombian tamales, hot chocolate, Mojarra Frita and one Picada. And everything tasted like home back in Colombia. They have potato chips chicken flavor, choclitos, Colombian coffee, corn flour and so many other Colombian products. They also have Colombian candies like frunas, barriletes, many kinds of bocadillo etc. I would return to this place for sure!

Stella Nino: This place has somehow good aceptable soups but the rest of the food is very low quality. I just want to let people know that this is not real Colombian food. Empanadas are re- heated, arepas are dried and hard to swallow, the chicharrón is also dry and tasteless. Very negative experience. The only redeeming quality of this place is the market inside whee you can find some different Colombian goodies.

iz the truth: Delicious authentic Colombian breakfast

Leslie Garcia: Please label your pastry so people can know which pastry to order. I waited in line and the pastry lady ignored me and continued to take the next customer because apparently I didn’t know what I wanted. How can I though? I’m not familiar with Colombian foods or pastry.

DAN D.: Nice Colombian market with great Colombian food and freshly made pastries. The aritopi, taco rolls, and empanadas are our personal favorites. The folks that work here are great!

Yinzú Nairouz: Good place to find Colombian food and products, and some general latinos products. Check the expiration date in the products before buying.

William Escalona: I love this store because I can find many products from my country, but have a variaetty of them...

Brandon Restrepo: I hadn’t had ‘bandeja paisa’ since my last trip to Medellín. Was craving it big time and I must say La Fonda Paisa exceeded my expectations! Their BP is pretty authentic, so obviously very delish. Do try it and make sure you’re hungry - they’re very generous with their portions!

Jose Guerrero: Nice little store with bread and Colombian products. Service is nice and food is good.

Aracely Melendez: We had a great siaters night out. Had a Paisa platter and was so well prepared. Enjoyed kareoke night on a Friday... I don't sing well but it was so much fun. I recommend this gem of a restaurant

Elisa Ferrante: Stopped by for lunch on a Sunday. The food is Colombian, just to avoid confusion. The atmosphere was quiet and pleasant. The staff super attentive and the food came out fast. The arepas were absolutely outstanding. I am looking forward to going back and trying more of their menu, which is super affordable by the way.

Oswaldo Embus: Good Colombian restaurant with a variety of dishes and specialties form other countries, they have Peruvian ceviche, Lomo, Mexican fajitas and Argentinian style steak. The majority of dishes are Colombian but it was nice to eat other country flavors at the same time.
Response: Thank you so much for this review,Oswaldo. We're very happy you enjoy dining with us. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Alexandra & Jeremy: At 6:30 pm we were definitely the only people there. This place gets hopping as a karaoke bar much later. It's not much to look at, but the food is very tasty. The best thing was the chicharron. That was really good. The plantains with guacamole were also a hit. We have no idea what service is like typically since we were the only people they had to serve. The margaritas were pretty good. The rest of the food was good and filling. We will go back. Quick note : very limited parking in front of restaurant.

Juan M: We had a very bad experience on our last visit, server was very unprofessional, this was on Sunday February 23 at 1:00 pm. She didn’t explained us many things of our food, the menu is very inconsistent, we order also a side of yuca con chicharrón and it was a very small plate like a meal for kids and the worst is that it cost $10 dollars. At the end very unhappy of the service, she auto give her self $16.50 for tip, she didn’t even ask us how much we want to give her, we were only 3 adults, also the prices was very high and she double charge us for tax, I’m going to make a report on the General Consumer Protection Resources and also give a copy to the restaurant manager.
Response: Good afternoon I’m sorry you had this bad experience, taxes are not charged double it is the law the customer pays %6 food %9 liquor and we specify it on the bill.

rafael ospino: We went there for New Year’s Eve. Long story short they were offering a special for 60$ that included dessert, main course, and “FREE SHOTS” as specified in their facebook page (See pic). Turns out only the first 3 shots were actually free. They did not let us know of this limitation until the very end, clever. The staff should have made us aware of this just to make sure that we were fine paying the “FREE SHOTS”. Dishonest business. Would not recommend it.
Response: Thank you for your review! the special was main course, dessert and champagne, shots were never included. The restaurant was giving house shot for free PER PERSON and not patron shots and of course not all night. you were not charged for the shots even though it was two of you so where is the dishonesty? I apologize for the miscommunication but you will never get endless shots for free in any restaurant

Larry Lina: Food was ok, service was mediocre. We got a Colombiana bottle to go, only to discover it wasn't even sealed and was flat when we got home. Way over-priced.
Response: Thank you for your review that makes us better each day. I Apologize about the soda please feel free to stop by and get two on us !

Justine Cowan: Great food and great service! I have been singing karaoke there for a few months now and always have a good time!

Nereo Mendoza: Try the empanadas, the food is good and the service is excellent, drinks are 16$ but good

E P: First the good. Service was friendly and the place was clean. If you go when it is almost empty, like we did, you can probably get one of the few parking sports right in front. Has a nice patio. However, as friendly as the service was, they got part of our order wrong, and by the time they fixed it we were done with the rest of the food. The food was not good, empanadas and yuca were ok, but the beef tasted very old. The chorizos and morcilla were dry. Maybe an off day at the kitchen, but enough of a problem so that we will not be back.

The Royal: what do users think?

Jennifer Trent: Absolutely beautiful covered patio, with heaters if needed, and fantastic service. Easy to order and pay through their QR code, and the food was the best we’ve had in a long time. The steak, gnocchi, and rockfish were all absolutely excellent!

Meia Harris: The highlight of The Royal is certainly the ambiance. I loved the plants and decor- even the dinnerware was nice. There is no table service- rather you place your order online. It was simple enough, and the food came out relatively fast. The guava pastry was yummy. I would suggest ordering this to share as this might be too sweet for some to eat by themselves (I at least found it too sweet to eat the whole thing). I tried the Autumn Spice Latte. I really appreciate the barista's beautiful latte art! The latte was quite sweet as well but not overly so. I would also like to mention that the latte came in what appeared to be a standard 8 oz mug and was over $7. This seems way overpriced for a drink that's 2/3 milk. For my main I had the Eggs and Potatoes. This is one of the few options on the brunch menu for my fellow vegetarians. When it came to my table I was tantalized by the appearance of the plate, but disappointment ensued. I found the whole plate to be under seasoned. I could not taste or see any salt or pepper on the eggs. The potatoes were crispy but were also lacking flavor in the salt and pepper department. There were a couple slices of toast on the plate but it was nothing special. Even though I absolutely adore the interior of this space, a restaurant's main determining factor on whether I return is the food. And based on that, the likelihood of returning for a second visit is quite low. I really wanted to love the food and give this place a higher rating but alas..

Kayla N: I ordered the seared fish and the gnocchi, which were both AMAZING. The flavors, ingredients, every bite I had was so delicious. However, the only downside was the gnocchi was oversalted in my opinion. The decor, plants and design were a nice touch to the overall vibe of this restaurant. 2 notes to keep in mind as of writing this review: 1) There is no table service - you place your order online and the food will be delivered to you. 2) You will need proof of vaccination and ID to dine in.

Tina N: We got the lox tartine, sausage egg & cheese sandwich, and egg & chorizo arepa. Good flavors all around. Will have to try their pastries next time!

Lauren G: This was my first time at The Royal. It was a nice experience. The staff was really nice, the food was delicious, and it looks like they are working hard to keep everyone safe during these covid times. The only challenge we experienced was when they tried to make it easy for people to split the bill electronically. We couldn’t really figure it out, but it all worked out. We all just paid for our own meals on our own phones. I had the Lox Tartine and we shared the Guava Pastry. Both were really good!

Aracely Hernandez: Absolutely best, authentic Colombian cuisine I’ve had in a very long time!! The customer service reflects the incredibly tasty menu - perfect combination for an amazing dining experience. It was my first visit - and a very memorable one. I’ll be coming a lot more to try the entire menu. I highly recommend Royal! I’m just so impressed and thankful to the staff who were amazingly attentive!

David Robinson: The only challenge we experienced was when they tried to make it easy for people to split the bill electronically. We couldn’t really figure it out, but it all worked out. We all just paid for our own meals on our own phones.

Fernanda Lanzagorta: Great food and great portions. I loved the casual ambiance and the kindness of the people working there. For a Michelin star restaurant the portions are perfect. I’ll definitely come back to try more of their food.

Michael Cork: Incredible ambiance and the food is delicious. Brussels sprouts are 🔥🔥🔥. Keeli makes the best cocktails in town

Hamdi Maher: Their egg arepa was a great breakfast dish! The sauce it came with was also great, perfect amount of spice.

Aroma Cafe: what do users think?

Raul Pacori: I like this bakery because the breads are very tasty and they are homemade and everything is fresh. I enjoy a lot of all their breads and cakes. They are a delicatessen. For my palate and the place is very clean and the cashiers are always very kind and charming.

Figueroa Esq: 3.5 Again I say, "Never go with high expectations to a place." We found this place online at 1 am and got very excited to visit it....But we were let down. CUSTOMER SERVICE Fair. One of the employees didn't know how to explain the food they were selling another knew nothing of the plate itself AND we ordered very simple dishes. FOOD We ordered Carne a la plancha with arepa con queso. Burrito with rice and sausage. In my opinion, the carne a la plancha is nothing special nor does it have a good flavor. It was over cooked which made it hard to chew. Absolutely zipo flavor. Something that I will avoid from now to eternity! The burrito was decent but flavors didn't balance well. A bit greasy for the morning. So why so high score? The appetizers were decent, papa rellena, and the baked goods were above average. Tons of parking space. SUMMARY The moral of the story repeats itself, when you have a large menu you become master of no dish. Still, We will be back. I've had amazing Columbian food, and hope that next time the quality control is spot on. Plus there is a ton of more items on there menu.

Guillermo Castillo: Went there for a soup… flavor, size, were find, service was perfect but the food was overpriced! I am aware time is complicated but $20 for a soup and a drink is a bit much! It was a Colombian soup, a similar Central American soup and a drink are in the $13.00 -$14.00 price range. BTW place was revamped and looks nice!

Hakuna Natata: Honestly the customer service is terrible. We were told the food was going to be ready in 35 min and we agreed to it but after that nobody came to let us know the food was going to be another 40 min late. It’s very disappointing because when we made our complaint about it we weren’t heard just brushed off and there was nothing that could’ve been done. We would’ve understood if they came and told us about the lateness but nothing was done just the servers and cashiers saying oh it’s ready it’s ready and still had to wait 10 more min for the rest of the food. The food was good but after an hour of waiting nobody felt like eating anymore. Advice for customers: order takeout ahead on weekends Advice for the restaurant. Have the decency and courtesy of telling your diners the real wait time on the food. There’s no shame on telling the truth.

IRIS Arrazola: This cafe is amazing! The atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming. Soft music played in the background and very clean and well maintained. I’ve tried a few items from the bakery and they are amazing. I called to place an order but it was not answered. I made an order online and it was fast and easy. When I came in, there was a long line but that just means the food is amazing! The food did take longer than expected but I was happy and satisfied. I will definitely come again and set down to eat:)

Sandra X-Pol: Great service and wide variety. Desserts, food, juices. Good prices. Long lines but worth it. However, This is not the place for you if you want good cofee, they put way too much milk.
Response: Thank you so much for visiting us!

Zone 07: Ordered Bandeja Paisa, Carne Asada and yuca fríes. -They don't know how to cook their steaks. Both the carne asada and the steak in the bandeja paisa were dry yet the fat wasn't rendered. The beans lacked flavor and the rice was lumpy. The egg on the other hand was cooked to perfection (over easy) and the plantains were sweet and tender. The chorizo, chicharon, arepa and yuca fríes were great. They do have a great bakery selection and it all looks delicious. I will try this place again but will not order anything with steak. *UPDATE: 2 Stars from 3: They recently expanded and are having a difficult time adjusting. They need to have either server sections or more cashiers with experience. Went on Sunday at around 3pm and the line to the counter was a half-hour long. We wanted more drinks but didn't because the line moved really slow. Also, had to wipe down and clean my own table as there was nowhere else to seat. I don't think I'll be returning.

Mick Sibinovic: Talk about authenticity! Fresh food prepared as you wait. Felt like I walked into South America. Spanish music playing. Warm ambience of colors. Awesome bakery setup. Had to use google translate to make a custom order 😆 Place is very unique with friendly people all around.
Response: Thank you so much for trying us out! Happy to read you had a great time :)

andrea niño cardozo: If I can put 0 stars I would, the most disgusting thing I have ever had a tamal cooked in foil??? That is a HUG NOT.

FREDDY RAMIREZ: We are coming from NJ. And I have visiting Colombian restaurant around the world and it is the first time that I was ask to decide if I want either rice or arepa with my beans !!! Is so weird because as a Colombian guy I never get serve from beans with out rice and arepa at the same time . Bedside this I can say food is good people is nice and I recommend the restaurant Thank you guys we will return next time we visit your town. Like calentado for breakfast is very good too
Response: Thank you for giving us a try! Stop by on your next visit to the neighborhood.

Arepas Pues: what do users think?

MB Official: The food was TERRIBLE tonight. 🤢 The first few times I came here it was pretty okay but the food was absolutely terrible tonight & the service has CONSISTENTLY been declining. I will not recommend any longer. The food looked & tasted like they just THREW IT together. I absolutely did NOT appreciate the service tonight. Prior to coming in I wanted to place an order over the phone to pick up & pay for upon arrival & was told that I have to give my credit card number over the phone. Who trusts giving their card over the phone? Not me. That's pure madness. I told the girl that I'd be coming in & I'd wanted my order prepared before my arrival. When I entered she whispered something to the only two women cooks present who looked at me & presented me with food that I (& my family) absolutely hated. I've patronized this business several times but it looks like they're no longer worth the investment from me or my family. The food tonight was bad.

Luisa Romaña: The services has changed a lot! Today I just got a picada and honestly it was 80% arepa and yuca and no to much meat. The arepa taste old. I don’t recommend the picada for a $19.08 you can see the picture

Natasha Shokouhi: We had been wanting to try this spot since their grand opening. Arepas Pues has such great reviews and high Yelp rating, so we were surprised to see that they were so dead on a Friday evening. Especially when all the restaurants in the area were packed. The restaurant is on the smaller side. The dining room isn't very big and it isn't an open layout. There are two small areas with some tables. Not the best layout for a restaurant. It feels a little stuffy and doesn't seem very handicap accessible. We had... Fried Egg Arepa Baked Chicken, Egg & Cheese Arepa Carne Asada Entrée Arroz con Pollo Everything was decent. We weren't impressed. The best things were probably the Arepas. The main entrées weren't as good as we expected. The presentation was great. Portions were very generous. Prices were reasonable for the portion sizes. Service was good but a tad slow, especially for being not busy. Another table was seated a good 10 minutes after us but got all their food before us. We don't plan on coming back. Nothing really screamed out to us.

Miguel Pacheco: Food is good just not a fan of the sausage and ground beef a little dry. Do we tip to get service? You don't know what to do with the dirty dishes at the end and they don't bother to take them from the table or tell you what to do with them (Comfusing) and no thank you nothing so service ain't great.

Eddy Sur: I am so sad about this place to know that it's going down hill ever since it started, it was customer service with table service and the food was fresher. As you can see in the pictures the chicken is dry it was 6:44pm when I got served and I asked when was the chicken made the server told me it was made 5pm this just let's me know that they aren't making many things fresh. They don't have dressings for salads ready. I am sad to say that this might be one of those places that will close soon. Since its losing a lot of the original origin of Colombian roots. It went from a quality service to serve yourself type of scenario this could have been a great restaurant with very promising future to even franchise out like arepa zone, and let's look at aroma cafe in Virginia its improved 10 times more than this place. I am sad to say that this will be the last time I will be coming here I would rather go to any other restaurant in the area for fresh food. Maybe this place should just stick to arepas and that is it. This is my honest review. You can definitely judge for yourself.

Alexandra & Jeremy: The food here is really good. Every once in awhile you get an arepa that's dry or doesn't have much flavor, but overall the combinations are excellent, and some of their other dishes are delicious too. The chicharron is yummy and decadent, the tostada with guacamole is tasty, the sweet corn arepa with salty cheese is awesome ( I mean, honestly we ordered it for our daughter, and we ate more than half of it ourselves), the Cubano sandwich is the real deal (no cold cuts here!) However, if you're in a hurry, don't bother. The service is extremely slow. They've also gotten my order wrong a couple times for carry out. So, if we were just rating on service, we'd give it one star, but because the food is so good and it's a nice little restaurant located in the heart of downtown Silver Spring, we give it 4!

Carolyn Frank: My friend and I enjoyed lunch here, as she had recently returned from a trip to Columbia. She drank an Agua Panela con limon, explained as hardened sugar cane juice made into a lemonade-like drink. I enjoyed a glass of guava juice watered down with water. We split an order of Tajadas, fried plantain slices, which were served piping hot and perfectly tender. Arepas are related to tortillas but are made from a finely ground precooked corn dough in Coumbia and Venezuela. She enjoyed an Arepas Pabelion, an Arepas split into a pocket filled with black beans, shredded beef and fried sweet plantain. I liked all of the four options in my mini Arepas tasting basket: chicken, shredded beef, roasted pork and avocado.

Alex Melgar: Pretty good arepas, i liked the Postobon. I liked the little items on display. Very quiet night

Paul Meirthew Jr: The place is small but all the food is big in flavor. Don't be put off by the size of this place! Just walk up to the counter ask for a menu, order your food have a seat wherever you can find one and enjoy. All the staff was extremely friendly and willing to help with any questions. The accept Cash and Credit.

W Chen: Portion is huge. Salad in the picture comes with fish entree. Plantain chips are thick, not greasy and crispy. Super delicious! Will definitely visit again.

Cafe Sazon: what do users think?

Chris Williams: High quality comfort food that just hits every time. Filling, rich, and has that special homemade feeling of care. Cool, calm, and pleasant environment, at least for lunch. Menu selection is expansive and service is very helpful. Only criticism is that they were a bit too expensive than your common Mexican restaurant (yes I realize this isn’t Mexican, just a simple comparison). Would still love to come back!

Andres Felipe Lopera Gracia: The food was amazing. I am from Colombia and the seasoning felt just like back home. They have an awesome background music (Flute de Pan) and the bakery place looks delicious 😋. I ate soup and then lentils. The empanadas are a must-have. The coffee is far above average. Delicioso. 😎 👍

juan rosa: Friendly environment and staff. The food is great. Drink selection is not hugh buy it is good. This is not an upscale and super fancy restaurant but a good place to get food. Or a quick bite to eat and a great alternative to fast food. The breakfast meals are the greatest choices. The cuisine is Mexican/Salvadoran/Colombian. The price is okay. This is a great place to get a meal if your passing by or visiting town.

Rachel Mangum: Loved my meal. I loved how fresh everything tasted. I got bean pupusas and the vegetarian sampler platter. I wish there was an option to have bean AND cheese pupusas (I did not see it on Uber eats menu). I would like to get it again.

Sangeeta Rao: Café Sazón is an institution, a staple, a second home! The owner is just as incredible as the baked goods, coffee, and empanadas. Located off of Columbia Pike, this cafe offers a wide selection of bakery sweets and breads, sandwiches, delicious main course items like carne asada, pupusas, Bolivian cuisine favorites, and delicious smoothies and shakes. Ample seating inside, ample parking out front, and friendly service make this cafe the regular meeting spot for our Arlington Dem Latino Caucus meetings. It is the one place we can always agree on!

Hannah Smith: This place is soooooo good! I ordered the sampler and a chicken pupusa. You can hear the chefs making the tortillas and pupusas in the back, so you know it’s authentic (and good)! Fried plantains and fried yucca ✨chef’s kiss✨ I went on a Friday night and there were only 3-4 people in the dining area. This place is too good to not be busy every night!!

L J: Man, I had really high hopes for this place. My spouse decided to treat me, his mother and sister in law to brunch along with 3 other family members. We called the day before for a reservation because of Mother's day. Well... after we placed our order, it took 20 minutes to get drinks, and over an hour to get our food. We waited patiently but every single other person got their orders before us and even people coming in placing to go orders were getting theirs first. Then we overheard one of the women admitted they forgot about us. Well that sucked. Ultimately my mother in law was almost late to work because after an hour and a half we had only just gotten our food. The food was okay, but I'd sooner go to any other spot. Maybe they should have just stayed a bakery? I'm disappointed because he chose this spot after seeing it featured on WETA and to be honest it really did look promising. Won't be back.

Brian: Fresh made pastries. I had the Pupusa and it was delicious. Also the fajita mixta. Delicious seasoning.Very inviting atmosphere. The staff are very welcoming.I highly recommend Cafe Salon.

Nizar Farsakh: Lovely little place with a very sweet and welcoming host. They serve that Mexican Coke and the queso were so good I took all the ones they had left to go. Also the decor was nice and the TV plays Latin songs ir Futbol!

Arayoan Vergara: This is our go-to place for Latin American food. We never dine-in, always pick-up, but they are extremely nice, they’re bilingual, and the quality of the food for the price is great. We always get carne asada, sometimes pupusas, and the good is delicious. Not the kind of food that’s super heavy on grease or salt, just deliciously seasoned every time. They also decorate the place for special holidays, and we always love to see what they did to the place.

Carol C: Cute place and great food! I got the patacon (12$) and a caramel macchiato (4.75$). They also had a whole bunch of Venezuelan snacks and drinks at the counter. I highly recommend this place!

Anakarenina Pérez: Amazing place! I love the food, it's like taking a quick trip to Venezuela, and all the memories come back like it was yesterday!
Response: Thanks for your kind review!

Jonathan Allen: I love them! Their food tastes authentic and is ready quickly. Staff is always very friendly. It reminds me of food I’d eat back home.

Victor Wang: Went with the mini arepa flight trio. Got to try the chicken, pork, and beef options. Quite delicious and a little more variety than one larger arepa. Also ordered the Tequeños Queso Fritos Party which was a nice appetizer with the sauce and cheesy inside.

Steph D: This is a great restaurant to try out arepas with different fillings. I ordered the meat lovers flight mini arepa trio which included Chicken & Avocado, Shredded Beef and Shredded Chicken arepas. The arepas look really small so you think it's but going to be very filling but the arepas are stuffed to the max so I was very full after having the 3 small arepas The Shredded Chicken and Shredded Beef arepas were by favourite. The Shredded Chicken & Avocado was ok but if I had a choice I wouldn't order that one again.
Response: Thanks, Steph!

Carlos Perez: ArepaZone is a great place, great authentic Venezuelan food, clean space and fairly priced. The cachapas con Queso are CRAZY GOOD

Chetan Katakia: This place is great. The portion size was good. However the flavors were top notch. I had ordered the mini arepa trios and wasn't disappointed. The desert was also fantastic. This had anise, so if you're not a favor of licorice, you might not enjoy it. All in all I had a great time and the food was so good, I'll be back.

udoy datta: Awesome food! We really enjoyed the authentic taste of South American food.
Response: Thanks so much for your review!

Patrick O'Leary: OMG just leave me here to eat, go on without me.Arepa Zone also have a food truck, I just want to live closerThe cheese, plantains, meats are to die for

Darragh Joyce: Great spot adored by locals. This spot was targeted by groups of nazis from West Virginia who left unfair 1 star reviews for asking them to wear masks. This location has been a staple in the community for years and is adored by residents of DC. Great food, great staff, and convenient location just south of Thomas Circle. Great place to go to cure your hangover too! ;)
Response: Thanks Darragh! Your review made us chuckle. We're glad we've been able to cure your hangovers - haha!

REL VS: The Dominican/Cuban food in DC. I am Cuban and this is my go-to place for home food. It is not a fancy place and their dishes may seem simple but it is 100% authentic. If you really want to eat like a Dominican/Cuban get a malta.

Neva Faulkner: The Dominican food is excellent; however I've had some challenges with the servers. My coworker who is Dominican turned me on to the spot. I've always frequented the restaurant with him because he can speak Spanish fluently, I don't speak the language. I went into the location twice without him and both times, I felt disregarded as a customer and slightly disrespected! Today, I went in and was completely neglected while the head server packed 4 to go orders in my face, (as if no one was there waiting!). I asked, hey can someone take my order only to be told wait a minute! A minute literally turned into 15 plus minutes before my order was taken. Completely unacceptable and bias towards BLACK women! Food is good, but I will go elsewhere from this day forward!

Larry “Big Schlim” Mcleod: This one block in D.C. already has some great places to eat. Let’s add another spot to that list!! This eatery offers some quality, specialized Caribbean food that haven’t had too much in my life!! People recommend this place…and here I am!! Where I am: @loshermanosdc . Location Reviewed: 1428 Park Rd., N.W. Washington D.C. . Menu Includes; Chicken, Cheese, Beef, & Veggie Emoanadas, Fried Cheese, Tostones (fried green plantains), Bistec Encebollado (steak & onions), Chicharron de Pollo con Tostones (fried chicken with fried plantains), Sancocho (soup), Mofongo, Dominican Cake, fresh juice & smoothies. Reviewed; A Beef Empanada (with a tangy sauce $2).STAMP!! Savory taco meat in a flaky fried pastry!! Their Chicharron de Pollo con Tostones (fried chicken with plantains $12). DELICIOUS!! Crisp, well done, tasty!! The Lo Tre Golpe (potatoes-DELICIOUS, fries salami-DELICIOUS, fried cheese-STAMP, a fried egg-DELICIOUS, topped with marinated red onions $13). What a DIFFERENT, delicious, fulfilling breakfast meal. I also got their Mofongo de Camaron (mashed fried play with shrimp $15). STAMP!! Mashed fried green plantain with shrimp &’sauce on it!! Get this!! The Soursop (a fruit) smoothie…STAMP!! A mild combination of a grape & a sour apple, $4.50. The Raspberry & Merengue sodas were STAMPED!! . Customer Service: Welcoming, Attentive, & Accommodating. . Online Navigation: DO NOT ORDER FROM THEIR SITE!! Use the third parties (Postmates, DoorDash) if you’re ordering online. . Parking: Difficult/Street/Metered . Recommendations: Get the Enpanadas & Mofongo!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️=STAMP ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️=DELICIOUS ⭐️⭐️⭐️=DECENT ⭐️⭐️=PASS ⭐️=NAH #Bigschlimsreviews

Viviana de Jesús: This used to be one of my fav Latino spots in NW but....lately its really "hit or miss" more miss. This morning I ordered a traditional Dominican breakfast: Mangu con queso frito, cebolla roja y chivo. Translation: mashed plantain, fried Caribbean cheese, red onions and goat. The mangu was not all the way mashed, the goat tasted really bland and like it was going bad, the fried cheese was HORRIBLE it tasted STALE AND LEFT A HORROBLE AFTER TASTE. Get. It. Together. Nobody wants to pick up food, pay good $ AND bring it home only to be VERY DISSATISFIED AND DISSAPOINTED. 😡.

Emma Hall: Los Hermanos is my favorite takeout spot in DC! The food is to die for (I typically get yellow rice and pigeon peas, plantains, and roast chicken with extra sauce), the portions are more than generous, and the prices are unbeatable. It’s my favorite meal in the city—every time I eat their food I feel like I’ve ascended to culinary heaven. I cannot speak highly enough about this place!

Vernon Minor: It's my first time here, but I've been to the Dominican Republic several times, and the food here is DEFINITELY authentic. I'll be back soon.

GREGORY RILEY: DO NOT USE Caviar to place your order!!! Was sitting in the restaurant with an online order for over 30 mins. The parent company is Door DASH where my order was placed. So, my order was sitting there in front of them!!! Name recognition didn’t WORK either. Additionally, this is an half hour drive to get to this place and parking is a b#%*h. If you don’t have time to waste, this ain’t your spot.

Karolina Alcalá Maldonado: Excellent service, excellent food....I really recommend this place.

Meaghan Gallagher: Haven't had Dominican food before, so I got the pollo con tostones as per a review here. Fried chicken was good, only wish there was another sauce offered as the red one I got on the side was too hot for me to eat. Fried plantains reminded me latkas, just realized I like the sweet ones better. Also wish there was a sauce. Reggaeton playing inside, low-key, workers seem nice. I might? go back, but only with the thinking that I didn't order the best thing and maybe there's something better for next time.

Taylor Yvonne: My boyfriend and I went here today and I loved the experience. The service was really good, and the food was 🔥🔥🔥. Definitely coming here again.

Henrry Palacios: As far breakfast food goes, this place is worth the money. The chorizo was excellent with lots of flavor and the plantains were nice and sweet.

Cindy Rodriguez: Worst ever. I come from very far away I called and asked what time they open. After the girl said 930 they watched me stand at the door and couldn’t seven open. I called after 930 and they just stared and ignore the phone. If they dont want to work they shouldn’t be open. They clearly state they open at 6am. It is 10:00 and I took service somewhere else. Worst picking their nose while working. ASCO 🤬 You can’t expect good service from this place nor any of the other places.

Robert Topa: The restaurant staff very friendly, but only speaks Spanish so come prepared. The quality of food wasn’t equal to the price. Carne Asada not seasoned well & was rather fatty. The Carne quesadillas were tasty but had a lot of diced onions.

Ruben Aristondo: This restaurant is a disaster, they charge you first, like at Mcdonalds, the tables are so filthy, the food was not good at all, I would not recommend this restaurant. I am in awe of how it is still open if the food is terrible, the table is so sticky your hand sticks. For sure they should close that place, I will never come here, or tell a friend to come, so disappointed, La comida es tan mala que ya pueden Cerrar ese changarro, ni en las called de México encuentras un restaurant tan sucio como este,

ronald garcia: They have a really bad service i waited for about 35 minutes and the food was really bad, the pupusas was super salty and it was straight up dough, Basically no filling. The tacos of lengua was a disaster better off buying them from ANY street truck, the arroz chaufa was overcooked.

Jose Atuncar: I love the price but after the pandemic their chicken taste like shut charcoal!!!! Get off the Peruvian chicken u guys are not even there!!!! This place sucks!!! If they don’t change!!!

Daniel Cifuentes: Grew up eating here since i was a kid, hell i even tried to work here. Sadly the food isnt the same, my mouth dried up as soon as i bit into a piece of the chicken because of how dry and salty it was, dont get me started on the flavorless rice and beans which gave me a upset stomach. Tres leches i had once was either expired or undercooked, it was solid and looked like dough thats been left out, plus tasted bad. Its just sad how downhill they have gone. If u want dry chicken this is the place. Only good things i enjoy here r the fries and that orange sauce they have, but there r definitely better places nearby.

Matthew Campbell: Good feud, good service, unfortunately not much of a gluten-free selection

Stephanie Flores: Great Peruvian Chicken. Fries and yuca.

Nestor Gregory: WELL presented and flavored Peruvian cuisine. EXCELLENT breakfast, lunch and dinner at a good price. Safe location near VRE and bus stops.

Ayaz Khan: A fantastic jazz venue. Had a great experience. The owner, Mahari, personally checks on all the guests. The bartender Lena is lovely.Great service, relaxed atmosphere. Real Jazz start kicking off around 9pm. Great performers. Will certainly be frequenting this place regularly.

cristalebella B: The owner welcomed us in immediately andmade us feel at home. The Jazz was what dragged us in, and it progressively got better and better. I sipped on my dirty martini and enjoyed all the ambiance this place had to offer. Meoowwww all that was missing was Eartha Kitt 😉 😘

Allison Lau: Reliable establishment for good live jazz & blues. Columbia Station is iconic on 18th street - their unadulterated presence breathes life into the streets. Warm atmosphere with a welcoming hostess, and no cover. We usually just order drinks here because food service can be slow. Stay however long you want - you won't be disappointed with the show!

U.B. Abalu: Ha! I should have read the reviews before coming back here :p The jazz music is great. This has always been a favorite spot of mine, until recently. Had the worst dining and service experience. First of all, when you show up you seat yourself, which is fine. The waitress/bartender brought me a menu and didn't even come check on me again after I placed the menu down and was making eye contact, obviously ready to ask for something, while she was chit-chatting with the other waitress in the corner. I was waiting for my partner to arrive, and when he did, they came to take our orders. He ordered wine, and I wanted to start with water with a lemon. They brought his wine but not my water. Took them 10 minutes to get me a simple glass of water (and the lemon was missing by the way) and I had to ask them for it a second time. Then we ordered the seafood pizza, but they brought out the seafood platter (50 minutes later). We said seafood "pizza" very clearly, but the waitress was not listening. We didn't want to be late for a comedy show next door, so we told them to cancel the order and we'd eat somewhere else, yet they insisted that they would bring our order to us next door and even had the audacity to ask us to pay in advance. Pay for what?? We didn't receive any food yet and service was terrible. We ended up receiving the seafood pizza (a full 1 hour and 10 minutes later by the way) which was delicious. It took additional time for them to bring us small plates. The wait staff don't seem to care that much. The place had been picking up and they seemed oblivious to their bad service, and they seemed slow, under-trained, and overwhelmed. My partner usually always, always leaves a generous tip, but this is the first time I've ever witnessed him leaving ZERO tip. The service was that bad. It was such a terrible service experience. And you know what? There are plenty of jazz/dining options in DC, and we simply won't be coming back to this place.

YT White: This place has great music and very cool vibes. The menu is limited but it's not about the food.

Ellie Twigg: Ugh. Great potential in this AdMo spot but unfortunately, the service from bar staff and ownership is so bad. Horrendously overpriced drinks and rude bartenders in a place that hosts amazing live Jazz music and the occasional comedy night. Diverse crowd and a packed house with little to no service to the seated tables or those sat at the bar. Didn’t keep proper tabs on our bill so we were charged a seemingly random amount. We might be back but only for the jazz and comedy.

Genny Henry: Hello. I have been to this establishment three times and all three times the server has been incredibly rude. Once she charged us for a drink that she tossed when I had simply went to the bathroom. This time was the last straw. We came in and sat down, she greeted us by flopping the menus on the table without a word. Then she comes back three minutes later to ask if we're ready, without recommending anything on the menu, in which we replied, telling her that we were waiting for some friends to park before ordering. Five minutes later, she comes back, and places the promotion card on the table, pointing out the fact that it's a $10 minimum to stay, without saying a word, she just pointed and stared at us. Our friends weren't even here yet and 8 minutes into this place, we already feel unwelcomed. At that point, we called our friends back and told them to not even bother. We asked her to speak to a manager, in which she replied with a face of discuss and anger, and said "What?! Why?" We told her that she was simply being rude. Then she replied, "So! I'm busy!" and snatched the menus off if the table. It was a Sunday night, there were maybe five tables and one person at the bar, she was obviously not busy. When she refused to even retrieve a manager, we walked out. We're never coming back. I just want to let someone know so that others won't have to go through what we went through. The Jazz is amazing, and I don't think it's fair to the talented musicians to see someone drive business away.

Keith Lopes: After we sat down, it took some time for the server to get to us. She was the only waitress on a very busy Adams Morgan Festival day. Also we had to wait for quite some time to actually get our food. The food was okay at best. Please don't get the chicken wings they were bready as hell, not crispy. We spent $50 on not so good food. Besides that, there was some pretty great live music, however it was too loud for the tiny space. If only we had walked two or three restaurants further we would have enjoyed our lunch.

Dwayne Evans: Laid back comfortable atmosphere with no pretense. Good service and music

Elizabeth Goodrich: Sat outside while the jazz band played. Highly recommend. Had the calamari for an app. It was SO good, lightly fried. Then we had a chicken pasta, delicious. Lots of vegetables and seasoned amazingly. Then my partner in crime had a steak that was Pittsburgh style. Sooo good. Came on a Sunday night! Jazz until 1am.

La Cosecha: what do users think?

Millie Kwan: This is a great space for Latinx businesses such as home goods boutiques, wine/wine bar and gourmet grocery, food stands and restaurants. There is an upstairs lounge as well as outdoor seating. Even the indoor space is a large open space and it is not crowded like Union Market making it easier to navigate during the pandemic. Would have liked to try more than one of the food stands, but well go back again. Beautiful space and do highly recommend.

Hector Mejia: Is impressive the change in this area " florida ave ' everything is clean soooo " la cosecha " is a restaurant in the new Florida ave dc i was there is beautiful place for sharing time with family you can find Japanese,Mexican.,peruvian And more class of food really impressed with this place !! Also you can buy things for your home too I recommend 100%!!

Tania Abraham: What an amazing experience, space and open market/food court. La Cosecha is the perfect space for doing some window shopping, actual shopping, grab a drink, and/or grab a meal. I was genuinely spoiled for choice with all the great options… So I sampled a bit of everything from the various restaurants! Nothing was a disappointment & I ended it with a Cafe Con Leche Paleta from Jarabe Gourmet Pops!!!

Nate B: This is a nice place. There are several good places to get food or drinks. It is very clean and people are friendly. I would definitely recommend this place.

John Huegel: La Cosecha is an urban destination and attracts a lot of young adults as well as some older folks like me. A dozen or so proprietors sell trendy food and drink and a few other things. My wife and I were attracted by the Argentine Tango group that holds an introduction to Tango lesson and a Practica on the loft level for experienced dancers on the fourth Sunday of each month. A great place to dance on a Sunday afternoon. We travelled there from Delaware just for that.

Daisy Gutierrez: The new drinks inspired by Selena songs are amazing!

KIMBERLY THOMAS: Always a great time and great food! Definitely recommend. The food and drinks are perfect. The service is even better. Ask for Maria! She’ll take good care of you!

Laura Garnett: This is my favorite market in the whole of DC. You can find the best Latin American food, wine, and artisan shops. I purchased this new ear cuff here, made by indigenous women in Colombia. We need more of these personal, diverse, and authentic cultural venues, especially in the "click-and-buy" world we live in.

K A: I found this hidden gem in D.C and I couldn’t help but check it out and I didn’t regret it. It’s filled with so much culture and art along side nice restaurants, a wine shop, a coffee shop(Unido) to mention a few. I particularly loved checking Nova Bossa out. Such a beautiful shop with quality items. First time here and I would definitely revisit to try out some great delicacies. I highly recommend this contemporary market to all art and food lovers and also it’s a must visit to all locals and tourists. Good Service✅ Courteous Staff✅ Lovely Ambiance ✅ Parking Garage ✅ ♿️Wheelchair Accessible Entrance✅ ♿️Wheelchair Accessible Restroom✅ 🚻Restroom

Paul Wright: Went back and discovered Destino, a Mexican restaurant. It's AMAZING!!! Service is fantastic, food was en point and atmosphere was both elegant and charming. Love this location!

El Pike Bolivian Restaurant: what do users think?

David Vo: PLEASE Do youreself a favor and GO HERE!!! This place is beyond fantastic, priding itself as one of the oldest Bolivian restaurants in the DMV area! Such an iconic location. If you are in DC, you need to come here and try this restaurant out. Staff and customer service are so friendly, I met a lady named Mimi there who I think is the owner and she provided me such welcoming hospitality. I felt important and cared for as a customer when I went in here. I proudly support! I came here for the Salteñas and this place did not dissapoint. One of the best salteñas I've had in my life. Here is what I ordered and my thoughts on them: 1) Chicken Salteña - So delicious. Everything in here was perfect and well-seasoned. My partner ate this and he said it was a little too much on the sweet side, by overall, it's delicious. It's an explosion in my mouth with so may different flavors. I just recommend that they keep their salteñas on a thick side, not too soupy or else the liquid will drip everywhere. 2) Beef Salteña - Just as wonderfully delicious! Definitely recommend! Overall, I am in love with their salteñas. I'm definitely coming here to try more bolivian food because I'm such a fan of Bolivian cuisine. Please see the Resources photo I attached on their App and social media. Wonderful experience, I'd rate this a 10/10!

Phillip Brodzinski: Had a lunch! The owner was super friendly and the meal was delicious. The empanada was wonderful. She explained the menu and gave me a great meal! Will definitely be back.
Response: Thank you very much.

Wil M: Latest update (June 2021): Last visit was greasy… 🤢 Update: We have come come about 5 times and have to say the service and flavor has decrease in quality. We are thinking about giving this place a long break till they bring back the good cooks and waitress 😒 ———————————————————————— Good taste and portions, fair prices, will come back again. (Silpancho and Pollo Saltado)
Response: Hi Wil thank you so much for your review and yes unfortunately COVID did affect our staff. I hope you do give us another visit unfortunately we cannot bring some people is imposible we have been training new staff. we are open in this location 33 years and we understand your feedback and we are growing to continue to serve you flavor. #ElPike #Restaurant #Bolivian #Food

Estefany Zelaya: Almost shed a tear while eating Falso Conejo!!! Same ingredients as how my grandmother would make them! This place is a gem! ♥️♥️
Response: Thank you for visiting us, transport, the customer to their families and Bolivia, through the sabvor is our gool.

Enrique De Anda: The place is a wonderful and fun place to spend time at while eating very delicious salteńas along with horchata, 100% recommend to try this place out !!!

Emilie Salinas: Best Trancapechos in town guarantee to fill big apetites and it comes with fries. Great taste tender meat.
Response: Hi Emilie thank you so much for sharing how much you love the trancapechos, we are grateful that you let us do the cooking so you can do the enjoying. Receive good vibes from us

Natalie Larenas: I have been going to this restaurant since I was a little girl. Although my family is ecuadorian, having salteñas is home to me. I love the salteñas and just about all food made here. Its so delicious.
Response: Thank you Natalie for your 5 stars after 32 years of serving we may know a few things about serving freshly, home made flavor, meals. In Arlington Virginia

Ea Monphen: Authentic Bolivian food. Very delicious just like eating in a restaurant in Bolivia. The food will sooth the craving for any home sick Bolivian for sure.
Response: Ea Thank you so much for taking the time to give us 5 stars. Thank you so much for visiting us and enjoying our food we hope to see you soon

Zelma Bowman: The first Bolivian restaurant in Falls church VA, love the food but the prices are high now for sure
Response: Thank you Zelma so much for the four stars review, we have been serving Bolivian food for 33 years and we have witnessed the ups and downs of the economy in this roller coaster. Yes prices have increased everywhere including our Arlington location, We have a saltenas special until March 26 3 for $10.00 Thank you for the visit

Ali Reza: Very friendly staff. Good Bolivian food.

El Tamarindo: what do users think?

Ronald Martinez: Pupusas were great but the fajita that I ordered was not. I ordered the Tex fajita which bring shrimp, chicken and beef. When I got my fajita, it only brought 2 pieces of steak, 2 shrimps and 2 pieces of chicken. For $19.50, I would expect more or at least a fresh plate. The food seemed to be microwaved and had sauce thrown all over it to make it seem fresh.

Destiny Rhea: I had the worst experience tonight with El Tamarindo. I placed an order at 7:13 and the delivery driver arrived to pick up the order at 7:35, he waited for 45 minutes and finally was able to get the food at 8:25. When the food arrived it was cold. The cheese enchiladas were so cold like the order had been truly sitting around for an hour. I’m waiting on a refund to be issued for this order. I would not advise ordering for delivery. Attaching photos of the huge block of cold cheese. It’s a food safety issue for sure. Not to mention the containers were soaking wet from condensation from the food sitting around for an hour. Bad experience with them overall. The issue was not with Postmates but with the restaurant directly. Just awful all around with $50 wasted.

Suhey Ortega: Favorite spot in DC for pupusas! I tried their vegan menu for DC Veg Restaurant Week and was surprised at the creative options for vegans! I had vegan pupusas with cashew cheese, Palm of hearts ceviche and jackfruit empanadas, I hope they keep these on their everyday menu soon! The staff was also very nice and welcoming, it was my first time going in vs ordering out thru delivery and loved their space, it's beautiful!

Ritu Desai VA-DC-MD Realtor: We had Mother's day brunch during DC Vegetarian week and IN LOVE with the food and drinks. Outdoor sitting in their parking lot with the heaters on was a bonus. From Vegetarian to chicken dish everything was perfect! Look forward to dining soon.

Anner Reyes: WORSE!! When I say WORSE customer service I have EVER gotten in my life!! The sad part it all started with Mr. Jose Reyes THE OWNER of this family owned restaurant! I drove almost 2hrs out of state with my family just to get the worse service ever! Nothing to what they promote online! (TikTok) We were greeted by Mr. Jose, first thing he asked was if EVERYONE was fully vaccinated. Mind you it was just my wife and kids my oldest is 11 yrs old. He than goes on and tells me that it’s a new D.C CDC Guideline. We are from out of state, we didn’t know. As a business owner myself it is my job to make sure my business page/website is updated with current CDC Guidelines, he failed to do so on all his business pages. Not every out of state customers will know each states CDC guidelines! He finally allows us to stay. We get seated. It didn’t end there! My youngest child is served a dirty glass! Place was basically empty it took them 42 minutes exactly to bring us our food but they were more busy serving the owners family party! Kept changing of waitress like what the heck! At the end one of the waitresses had the audacity to ask if we had left tip in cash! What?! Service was horrible and still expecting tip?! For the owner: Mr. Reyes, sir I highly advise you to keep your business pages up to date! I myself own a 5 star business, this is not the way to treat customers! Sincerely, Anner Reyes

Lena: Best pupusas I’ve ever had and still are. I frequented El Tamarindo probably the most out of any other restaurant while living in DC. Amazing pupusas and a very nice setting.
Response: Thank you!

Marco T. Alemán: Don’t get confused with their nice TikTok advertising… We’ll never come back to this place!! I’ll hire the TikTok people who does their advertising, We came here because of that. The experience was totally different, the soup was horrible, my Mojo de Ajo Shrimp didn’t have no garlic flavor it all, my the nachos were old.

Li Google: A taste of my childhood in every bite ❤. Food is divine, really made with love and care. The staff goes above and beyond to satisfy appetite! Very clean facilities, this place felt like home. Thank you for being open when I needed hot food, coffee and a friendly face! Highly recommended to anyone. Vegans, see-food eaters! You can't go wrong. Stop in for coffee too.
Response: Thank you!

Imani: We needed some late night food on Sunday and we almost lost all hope until we found El Tamarindo! I ate their cod fish soft tacos that were equally beautiful and delicious!

Sidney Juarez: I've been here a few times before and had a great experience with the service and food. This time unfortunately I did not enjoy the service or our waitress. Our drinks and food took a long time to get to us. My partner had got steak tacos for $17.50, the tacos barely had any meat ! My pupusas tasted pretty good :) I really had high expectations for this beautiful restaurant but everything just seem low quality now.

Habana Village: what do users think?

MONICA MORLEY: Love the place, the owners are there greeting you and making sure you're having a good time. Music is terrific. Salsa lessons and ladies night are the best

Adam Farrell: We were just walking by, and were immediately enticed by the fun salsa/latin beat, savory aroma and fantastic vibes pouring out of this establishment. When we saw their happy hour selections, we were sold (5-7pm!). Outstanding Piña-Coladas, Mohitos, and Margaritas confirmed our anticipation, delicious and only six bucks. $3 draught beers, more fantastic music and THE BEST fried yucca were also enjoyed. This place is so fun, affordable and the kitchen is one of the most professional in the area. Mario was the most welcoming of bar tenders, as he happily explained the menu, their story and some of the dance classes that are offered (prior to covid). We felt safe being served outside and will be back FOR SURE. Especially for some dance lessons! P.S. for the authentic cuban experience, finish your meal with a shot of aguardiente! Delicious!

Kezia M: Went here for my friends birthday! They were timely in getting us seated after being a bit late for our reservation. The staff were very nice and sincere. Absolutely loved the food! Took a little bit to come out but it was well worth the wait. Some of the best plantains I’ve ever had! Their rice and beans... chefs kiss. Will definitely return whenever I make my way to DC again!

Ana De Gutiérrez: Delicious Cuban food!!! I love the Vaca frita

Madison Dull: This was a wonderful experience. the food, service, and music was incredible. The food was authentic. The service was perfect they were around the perfect amount. Mario, the server, was very attentive and made wonderful drink and food recemendations. It would be a shame not to dine at this restaurant.

Jacqueline: Phenomenal food!! Great service that’s now family owned and operated with new management - salsa dancing and amazing vibes. Just bought a practice in the area and will definitely return !

Giani Morales-González: Excellent Service! Excellent Food! Great and Relaxing Atmosphere! It is a must try, you’ll be sorry that you missed out!

Quarib Chowdhury: This is a DC institution. Amazed and glad it’s still around. Friday night Salsa class was great with a great instructor. I left early for the social but every video I see seems like they’re a good time. I wish it was a little bigger.

Ernesto's Coffee Adventures: I love Salsa clubs and I have been to many all over the country but I have to say this one is the worst experience ever!! I went there on a Friday come to find out they charge you $20.00 and I didn't get to dance salsa music. I asked the lady on the third floor if I could see around the rope to see how many people were there and she denied me.. There was only two couples the whole night dancing. The people that work there are also not the nicest. It is pricey but it would be worth it it fulfilled the salsa vibe experience. For a salsa vibe I recommend Café Citron. I have been to many Salsa clubs and this one is the worst.

Elizabeth T: This place was a great choice to go to! We ordered the nachos and they were fantastic!! It’s such a nice place to go and enjoy dinner and a drink. I felt right at home and they were very attentive. They sanitize their glasses and I was very happy to see that during this time! Everything was delicious. Make this a place to go and visit soon!

Julia's Empanadas: what do users think?

Allan Christopher Pin Drew: Cheap and cheerful shop with tasty empanadas. A few vegetarian options (thank you!) and pork/beef/chicken as well, including chorizo and some fun mixes.

Lou Costanza: Make sure you bring cash if you want to buy anything at this place. While they state they accept credit cards for purchases over $10, today was my second visit where they claim the credit card machine was down. Highly suspect… Anyway, the Chilean empanadas are very good here. I’d consider coming more often, but who carries cash these days? Solid 3 stars.

Adam Winstanley: Service was not so great! The person behind the counter was not very attentive. Even though the empanadas were good they were way over priced. $39 for six empanadas? Seriously? And I could not get a receipt because their “printer” was not working. The person behind the counter would not even separate the empanadas so I couldn’t tell which ones were which and I had to cut them open when I got home. Very inconvenient. I probably won’t be back here for a while.

Timothy David: Empanada heaven. We may have over done it with 7 BUT each empanada, hand rolled, is stuff with such unique ingredients that each one was amazing in its own way. Another great quick stop for a snack while venturing through DC.

Rose Croshier: A portable, delicious lunch for $6! Can’t beat it! Am wishing they’d get back to making salads though- Fresh greens would round out the meal.

Bill Robertson: Wow! Amazing empanadas! Tried 4 different flavors, and all were excellent: Saltena, Chilean, Turkey and Chorizo. The Saltena had green bell peppers which was not listed in the ingredients but did not overwhelm the flavor, which was excellent. The Chilean is the favorite empanada here, was recommended by the staff, and it did not disappoint. Not very spicy, but very flavorful, with a zest that will leave you wanting more. Cash only spot, but worth the trip to the ATM.

Stephen House: Very pretty looking pastries, but mostly empty and WAY overpriced. It was about 8pm. I got a pear almond pastry. There was almost no filling. Tasted kind of like almond extract but it was mostly dried up pastry dough. For $3 + tip, I was not impressed at all. I threw most of it away because I’m already fat and I don’t need to waste my daily calories on plain dough. Sorry, Julia. Maybe it was just an off day or something but I’ve had better empanadas at Taco Bell, for $1.

Scotty Leach: I smelled the place before I got there — you can smell the delicious scent of empanadas before you arrive. Once inside, the small shop draws you toward the empanadas lined up in their warming case, enticing you to get one (or more). I decided to get two for lunch, one Chilean (beef + veggies and spices) and one Salteña (curried chicken + olives, veggies, and egg). The Salteña was phenomenal. At $6 each, it’s slightly pricey, but worth it if you’re hungry and want something hand-made, tasty, and quick. The only thing I didn’t love was the $10 minimum for credit cards. That’s a pretty high minimum, and it means you have to get at least two empanadas if you didn’t bring a debit card or cash. The colorful art on the entrance is lovely and draws your eye, once you get close. Try Julia’s! Make sure to grab napkins :)

Sisi Koleva (siscenceto): Price: taste=4 starsI got guava and pear, almond and pear and one vegan one. All were tasty, but the guava one was especially good. My meat loving friends loved the Jamaican one and the spinach one

Hanna _: Go to spot in the dmv area for empanadas!! They are SO GOOD, especially the Jamaican and Chilean ones 🤤 There's a $10 minimum for credit cards but there is an atm inside the store (which is tiny) or you can just buy multiple empanadas (as u should) and FEAST They are also open very late on Saturdays and right near the dupont bars making it a great night out snack!

Atlacatl Restaurant: what do users think?

Jesus Martinez: Love this Place.I have know the owner since He Started with a Food Truck. My favorite is the Nacho Supreme....🤤🤤Usually I pick it up on my way Home.

Steven Perez: First time here and WOW definitely not what I expected but the food /THE PUPUSAS were DELICIOUS!!! Definitely coming back :)

Jody Campbell: The best Salvadorian food ever! Doesn't look so great inside the restaurant but the food is delicious and worth every cent! I recommend everyone should experience this fabulous food. From the pupusas to the seafood! Great service too! DELICIOUS!

Lame Benitez: This place is special to me not only the food but the nostalgia. This is a time machine my parents used to take me here when i was 7 years old and now I'm 27 and the food is still amazing. Them pupusas and nachos hit the spot. And if I crave sopa de mariscos this is the place to come. This restaurant is a legend
Response: Aww thank you very much we appreciate all of our customers . We strive to keep the customers happy .

carlos perez: A family favorite. My parents and I continue to come year after year. What are my favorties? Their pupusas are well priced and large. With a lot of great filling. The Sopa de Mariscos is the best in the region. It had a whole crab, shrimp and mussels. Definitely worth checking out.

James: $5 for nachos is a steal, everything here is very reasonably priced/on the cheaper side. If you’re in the area definitely stop by!

William Badie: Service and food always great !!! We tried this restaurant out many years ago and we are still loyal to this place the food is always great "A MUST TRY" you will love it.

Jhonathan Cabrera: I would hands down say this place has the best pupusas in the DMV.

Alejandro Cruz: Price point was great, food quality was mediocre. Nothing to write home about. They gave yucca fries before the food came, and I ordered the pupusas and yucca con chicharron. There were not enough bits of chicharron. The cabbage for the pupusas was a delightful suprise and was sweet.

Nathalia Morales: Place is small but they serve you a big food plate so you would feel no emptiness and you will have to see for yourself ! Note: Here's a pic. Also there's the machine to play music, even rancheras 😁😄✌
