Morris American Bar: what do users think?
Martin Schmidt
Martin Schmidt: nice atmosphere, slightly too much air-con , or we as European are not use it ?.. We ordered 2 espresso martini, they were average, So much vodka , and coffee was not strong enough. For my taste But their original cocktail were Bom !!! Jamaican twist on Manhattan super tasty . La Reina was soooo good , if you live tequila try this . Overall i would definitely go back
Response: Hi Martin! We are ecstatic to hear you found us all the way from Europe-- it was our pleasure having you! Thank you for taking the time to try our selection of cocktails and for this detailed review (we know a cocktail connoisseur when we meet one)! Looking forward to seeing you in the future !
Bradley Popkin
Bradley Popkin: Swanky and cozy bar with two floors. Spent some time here with family and friends. Great cocktail selection and service. We were greeted quickly and everyone was friendly. I really appreciated the full-size Johnnie Walker figure outside lol.
Neil Patel
Neil Patel: The staff are super friendly and accommodating. We ordered off the menu and were pleasantly surprised at how much we liked our drinks. The mocktails and zero proof drinks were great too!
Response: Neil, thank you for your review! We're glad to hear that you had a great experience and we hope to see you again soon!
Andrea Martin
Andrea Martin: Good drinks, good service. It’s across the street from where Google currently shows. Has an outdoor patio that feels much different than the indoor vibe
Response: We are so happy to hear you enjoyed your experience with Morris! Thank you for this great review!
Nirupa P
Nirupa P: Good experience. We did the Halloween special & the drinks were good. We both got 3 drinks each & they were great. Our favorite was Noche de sueno & dia de muertos. Food menu were also limited. We got the devil eggs & they were good.
Rachel Lipton
Rachel Lipton: The space was thoughtfully designed with a great bar but the drinks were a bit of a letdown - certainly not bad but I was expecting something a touch more exciting (I know they rotate monthly so I’ll be back to try some new ones soon) The vibe was also a touch quiet/empty which was a bit of a bummer since we were celebrating but perhaps it would have been better if we were there earlier or later
Adam Pusateri
Adam Pusateri: Morris is without a doubt an absolute gem of a cocktail bar and my personal favorite. The bartenders are not only inventive but also thoroughly well-versed in classics and contemporary drinks. You can tell the whole team is proud of their bar, and it really shows. The seasonal menu is their own impressive creation, but make no mistake, they gladly take requests and offer new suggestions. Inside is a time capsule of a classic bar. The colors, décor, lighting, music – it is the perfect place for relaxing drinks. Outside is shaded and casual, exactly what you want for a group of friends. Other bars even the often lauded “Bests in DC” have fallen short of what Morris is consistently doing here in terms of quality, knowledge, skill, and service. You get way more than what you pay for here. As amazing as it all is, it is not at all stuffy. Everybody is friendly, easygoing, and enjoys what they are doing. This review is long overdue and could not be more well deserved. Morris often surprises, never disappoints, and after all their extra hard work during the pandemic, I cannot wait to sit at the actual bar again. Until then, cheers!
Response: Thank you so much Adam! So glad you enjoyed your experience.
Mohan Sun
Mohan Sun: Our favorite cocktail joint in town! The drinks are top-notch and reasonably-priced. We’ve been to other “good” places that charged $16 for a to-go cup. Morris beats that in so many aspects and it never disappoints. Everyone works there are super nice and knowledgeable. Doug, Ian and Rhine are skillful bartenders who can fix you up with almost any requests. They usually have seasonal cocktail menus and recently added low & non-alcohol drinks which is perfect for a person like me who can’t drink too much. I got Strawberry Kitty last time and it’s sooo good! If you want something refreshing, you NEED to get it! Please support their business. They work hard to stay afloat while continue to innovate great drinks during this difficult time.
Response: Thank you for your review and your support Mohan!

The Mirror: what do users think?
Melissa Escudero
Melissa Escudero: This place has the best vibes! Absolutely love the drinks every time we come. The seating is very comfortable and the lighting set a great tone. The bartenders are super nice. We came right after getting engaged and they even gave us all free shots. Cant complain at all!
JDV22
JDV22: Drinks were pretty poorly mixed. If you’re looking for a neat place with loud music to just kind of vibe, it’s perfect. If you’re looking for well made cocktails, I’d recommend going somewhere else.
Richa Bhatt
Richa Bhatt: This place was really cool in terms of finding it and the atmosphere but other then that it was meh. The whole bar was super dark and it was hard to see anything. The drinks were incredibly mediocre and so was everything else like the bathroom- the bathroom I used had no lock so I had to hold the bathroom stall door while using it. So yeah, besides going to a place that’s behind a mirror, there’s no other pull. It’s a very mediocre place and it is priced like it’s something nicer which is stupid. I would only come back if I had to like I wouldn’t make plans out of my way to go here.
Parker Kelley
Parker Kelley: We went here after a DMV friends event on a Friday night ! It was very packed & due to the space being very small it was hard to move around. The bartenders were busy & took forever to get a drink. The idea behind the bar is neat and interesting but wasn’t worth my time!
Zach Yoder
Zach Yoder: If you’re looking for a speak easy that fits the traditional role of one, this one barely fits the bill. The only thing that this place has similar to other speak easy’s is that it has a hidden entrance. The music is way too loud and the lights are way too dim. This is essentially a club with a fancy entrance.

600t: what do users think?
Mysiki X Valentine
Mysiki X Valentine: First let me start with the best part—the restroom. It’s very clean and cute. If the bathroom isn’t clean, you cannot expect the bar, or glasses to be clean. The drink selection is small but tasty. There are 9 drinks for all types of folks. I did not see a wine of beer list but there maybe one. On the night we visited, there was a live jazz band. It was nice to have live music but it was entirely too loud for a speakeasy. In addition, the center tables (circles) are a bit small with the decorative candle on the middle. Overall this is a nice bar to go to on U street. Do not forget to make a reservation..oh and they charged us $10.00 for just showing up (Repeal Day) this was unclear and not friendly.
Kevin George
Kevin George: Classic coctails and very unique cocktails of there own, this basement bar has amazing atmosphere and great employees. The cocktails are worth the wait as the bartenders cut all the ingredients fresh.
Ricardo M Gonzalez
Ricardo M Gonzalez: Super cozy cocktail bar. Great service, even better drinks. Its great to visit in small groups and have fun. Great location and close tho other places in case you need food after.
Meenu Singh
Meenu Singh: The coziest semi-hidden bar with a beautiful attention to detail, from the fresh herbs and flowers in the cocktails to the wood paneling to the roaring fireplace. The drinks were delicious and special. The whole service team was so kind, and my table of three felt so cared for. Thanks for making an evening with friends feel magical!
Rachel U
Rachel U: First time here and loved it! Very unique, tasty cocktails, excellent service. We had a reservation for Friday night, there is a two hour window for seating.
Natalie Pirrone
Natalie Pirrone: Hands down my favorite bar in DC. Patio is super awesome, staff is really friendly. Cocktails have so much flavor. Definitely recommend checking this place out.
Henrry Palacios
Henrry Palacios: I believe this is our third or fourth time coming here. All the cocktails we’ve had have been great and it’s one of our all time favorite cocktail bars. The service is always great, the vibe is always very calm and comfortable, and the drinks always impress. If you make a trip to DC, you’ll have to make this place a priority and be sure to make reservations beforehand!
Mathew Crichton
Mathew Crichton: A wonderful little speakeasy tucked away on U Street. They have some amazing old fashioneds and shaken cocktails! The sweet potato donuts are also freaking fantastic!
Blake Arrington
Blake Arrington: Very good drinks and even better customer service. Even is you dont like a drink they will switch it out for you Definitely the best old fashioned I ever had and the martini was very good with an extra drink Also if you want something sweet the sweet potato donuts are very good

Franklyn Z
Franklyn Z: Went here 3 years ago and had a blast with their inventive cocktails. But coming back now the drinks were not that interesting and they were overpriced. Service was great but maybe hopefully can have more creative drinks in the future.
byron subero
byron subero: Nice bar with friendly and knowledgeable bartenders.
Mathew Crichton
Mathew Crichton: Amazing cocktails, cool bartenders, and some of the bar music on 14th St! Definitely one of my favorite places to go for a drink.
Jerome Smalls
Jerome Smalls: A speakeasy’s speakeasy. Ambiguous name. No website. Sketchy entryway. But a truly dope lowkey vibe. The “Grey Manhattan” will change your life.
Eric Erwin
Eric Erwin: Drinks were honestly one of the best I ever had...the Gin Pahit was unreal!!!!! Bartender was meh on service, but still worth going for a drink

barmini by José Andrés: what do users think?
Natalie Caldwell
Natalie Caldwell: We were in DC for the weekend, looking for a place to get drinks before our later dinner reservation. There is a reason barmini has the reputation it does, and our experience was more than we could have hoped for. The attention to detail was both expected and impressive - the care and perfection that went into each crafted concoction was amazing. We described to our waiter what our flavor profiles were and he made us both personalized (and perfect) cocktails. We topped off our before dinner drinks with the brioche. *Chefs kiss* and that butter…I’d eat a whole loaf. Can’t wait for the chance to come back.
Kennith “Conley” Coleman
Kennith “Conley” Coleman: We were able to enjoy the cocktail flight. The experience was amazing and all the cocktails were so delicious. The service was excellent. We also tried the grilled cheese appetizer and it was beyond good.
Triloka Shanbhag
Triloka Shanbhag: For those of you wondering if the long waitlist and tough-to-get-in reservation system renders this place worth going to or not, I’m here to tell you it is utterly and absolutely worth the wait. The experience of being at Barmini and having their cocktail flight is unparalleled. From the sophisticated palette displayed in the variety of cocktails to the servers that pay you copious amount of attention, every little detail is planes to the tee. At times you may feel you are transported to be amidst a lab experiment but the drinks made at your table using liquid Nitrogen are delicious and a spectacle to watch. We also tried the brioche bun, it absolutely melts in your mouth. Having been to a few other Jose Andrés restaurants in the DC area and always being pleasantly surprised with my experiences, this certainly keeps the streak going. Can’t wait to try Minibar by Jose Andres too.
Mukesh Bhakta
Mukesh Bhakta: Just Wonderful. Vegetarian food paired with drink for me and a la crate for my wife. The dishes can be substituted with non vegetarian. We had 6 small plates and were full by the end of 2 hours. Each item was superb and we did add Australian Truffels to 4 dishes which elevated them substantially. It is definitely worth it for the experience. It is expensive but we enjoy these throes of restaurants very much. Staff was precise and excellent. Cocktails were unique and superb.
DeJuae
DeJuae: Food presentation was some of the best I’ve seen here in DC. It has 2 Michelin Stars. The intimate setting and couches make for a nice date night!
James King
James King: Amazing food. Fantastic service. Highly recommended.Presentation is very elegant. Decor is intimate. Call ahead.

Silver Lyan: what do users think?
Marissa P
Marissa P: Extremely well priced cocktails for this area and the caliber of the drinks/service. You can go to a dive bar down the street and still be paying $14 for a drink out of a plastic cup! The ambience is lowlight speakeasy style, perfect for a date night. Bases loaded was the best we tried, the cherry float was delicious! I’m not even much of a whiskey fan either. If you’re a fan of good service and attention to detail, Silver Lyan should be on your list.
Rebecca Carmeli-Peslak
Rebecca Carmeli-Peslak: worth every penny. such a cool classy experience. the staff is all amazing and goes out of their way to help you pick the perfect drinks for your celebration. we really enjoyed the fruit jell-o shots project apollo champagne espresso martinis and french martini. my party and i will definitely be returning soon! bonus they have a giant gumball machine
Ryley Thompson
Ryley Thompson: Modern space with an interesting vibe in the basement of the St. Riggs. The cocktails are unique, which honestly is hard to do these days. Prices were fine but higher than average If that matters to you. Very friendly staff was a highlight. Definitely worth a stop on your DC cocktail adventure.
Natalia P
Natalia P: Best cocktail bar in DC. Service was quick and everyone was friendly. Chairs were cute and comfortable. Definitely will be back next time I’m in the area.
Blvknative
Blvknative: Nice underground world to step into inside the Riggs, a bunch of different drinks curated perfectly with every drink. The ambience of the place is to die for. Great way to end your night!
byron subero
byron subero: Nice spot to grab a drink and relax. Very crowded cause they had special guests from NYC for the cherry festival but definitely will go back......aaaaand I went back

the Gibson: what do users think?
Jeff Schwamb
Jeff Schwamb: A brilliant speak-easy with bartenders that truly take their craft seriously. The custom mezcal drink was spot on the lighting and atmosphere promoted an escape from the outside world.
A V
A V: Definitely a 4 star experience, not more. Clean, with a nice atmosphere ( music selection was not speakeasy.. more hip hop), and the staff was very nice. However, drinks were not impressive for the price paid. Also, they should describe the drinks better, especially if they have an online menu. Went to 600t on the same night and much better experience
byron subero
byron subero: So my new thing is trying to go to all the speakeasy in the DMV. 6 down many to go. Gibson has a relaxing vibe with a indoor and outdoor seating.
2luvis2live
2luvis2live: This place is so discreet. Once inside, you are totally removed from outside and embraced by the atmosphere which was chill and laid back. Everyone was cool and down to earth. Our bartender was so warm and friendly (Enjoy your upcoming birthday in August Leo). I would definitely visit again. Thanks for a great time.
Paige Sheats
Paige Sheats: This is one of my go to places. I love the vibe and it’s very speakeasy-ish! I also can’t say enough good things about the cocktails! They’re not only delicious but also very unique based on other speakeasies and bars around town! The only negative is it’s hard to get a table if you’re just trying to walk in, so book a reservation in advance.
James Lee
James Lee: Great drinks and beautiful interior. I also recommend ordering your own and letting the bartender be creative. The bar is currently closed (tables only) and service was a bit slow when I went, but still had a good time.
Maya Bryant
Maya Bryant: This speakeasy was tucked away off of U street. The drinks were okay, but the vibe was everything. Very fun for a chill night. Make sure you have a reservation.

TexCat
TexCat: Wanted to stop into a bar after a night tour of DC before heading back to our Airbnb. Happened upon Denson Liquor Bar - mightily glad we did! What a great little hidden gem! Friendly, personable staff, great drinks and service. Awesome cozy ambiance. Highly recommend
Benjamin G
Benjamin G: Was visiting DC and wanted somewhere for after dinner drinks on a Friday night. Found this place. A little hidden but worth the walk down. Cool atmosphere, nice vibe and mix of people. The bartenders were great. They both make a mean old fashioned! True mixologists.
Austin Shaheen
Austin Shaheen: Excellent service and the place has a really cool vibe! My fiancé and I were here on a Saturday evening for her birthday and they treated us to a complimentary champagne, very nice touch. We’ll definitely be back and recommend our friends visit here
Dane Fergusson
Dane Fergusson: MUST GO! Walk down the stairs to step back in time to the speakeasy era. Just the setting is worth the trip; but, the drinks are incredible. Add to this the world class bartender Dinesha. Yeah, I said it. World Class! Excellent drinks, suggestions for other drinks, great conversation, asking our preferences to tweak to our tastes, made us feel like we were her only customers... and oh yeah the place got slammed with an overflow crowd... to busy now? No way! She still had time for hugs and pictures, before we left!
Response: Thanks Dane, you rock! All the staff thought you two were great and we all love Denisha too. She's fantastic. Come back and see us soon!
Matt Noble
Matt Noble: What a great spot this is! Very old school and dim lighting, as if you are back in time at a speak easy. Drinks were all great and so was the music. If we are ever in DC again we will be sure to come back to Denson! Highly recommend to stop in for a drink if you haven’t already!
Brendan F
Brendan F: There is something about walking into a below street level bar that brings a feeling of vintage nostaligia. The staff is filled with smiles, conversation and great drink ideas and the food is unique and delicious. It does get crowded but that should tell you about the quality of the place. Definitely worth a visit.

Service Bar DC: what do users think?
Elias Chelala
Elias Chelala: Awesome location with a cool vibe. They have an enormous selection of cocktails and delicious food. Make sure to try their spicy fried chicken sandwich which is very juicy and crispy. If you plan on visiting make sure to bring proof of vaccination. The prices are reasonable for the area and the service was decent! I will visit service bar again!
Kara Clark
Kara Clark: Small bar with great food and drinks. Fried chicken sandwiches are stacked and cooked perfectly with seasons. Drinks menu are listed from light to strong. I do wish the food options was more but overall happy with the pick! Drinks absolutely great! Your bill will add up however, it was a bit pricey but overall great food. The bar is a bit small but they have outdoor eating areas as well.
Monica R S
Monica R S: The fried chicken is soooooo good! Food was overall delicious. The old fashioned was good. Service was good too. We sat outside and it was sufficiently heated.
Rebecca Kaufman
Rebecca Kaufman: One of my favorite places to get cocktails in DC. They have such a great and wide selection of different specialty cocktails with plenty of different liquor options to choose from. They also always have seasonal options that change often as well as a great selection of small bar foods.
Response: 🤘🏼
Lani
Lani: Casual bar with good drinks. You can only sit 1 hour and 30 mins. The food was about a 6/10, we got burgers and mozzarella balls.
Kelly Wiley
Kelly Wiley: What a great little place with excellent drinks and food! Cullen was super knowledgeable about the menu items and the specifics of each drink! They have stellar homeade ginger beer!
Response: 🙌🏼
Mark Orebiyi
Mark Orebiyi: On the search for the best Fried Chicken Sandwich in the DMV my team and I came across Service Bar. I highly recommend this restaurant. They are known for their cocktails but this sandwich was devine. Solid portion as well (fries come separately). I would put them in my top 5 (and this was our 21 place). Our server, Cullen, was extremely informative and accommodating. I will be back.
Blake Arrington
Blake Arrington: Good drinks and great chicken The fried chicken meal is the best bang for you buck coming with 3 sides and 2 chicken thighs for $20, I definitely recommend it Make sure you try the original fried chicken. The Nashville hot is good but not as good as the original which has a honey glaze. The atmosphere is a very bar feel inside. If you sit outside they did a good job of turning the street into a nice seating area but it is very loud with cars driving past Would come again to just get the chicken to go

CUTE. it was pretty packed when we came in but luckily a couple left a few minutes after we arrived so we were able to snag a spot at the bar. The servers were very kind and attentive and all the drinks were delicious! It was a blast and I can’t wait to go back again.

Martha Wilson: Great cocktails. Great service. Yummy, warm olives. And good people-watching from the tables outside. I will definitely be back many times!
Hanna Ozbeki
Hanna Ozbeki: such a vibe for drinks! went here on a monday night and it was packed!! love that they have so many drink options and that they give u a complimentary snack. the decor was beautiful too drinks - satin sheets & naked and famous were amazing note they do not take reservations so be prepared to wait :)
Anthony Salinas
Anthony Salinas: Jane Jane did not disappoint. Wait time was a little longer than expected but worth the wait. Super cute interior, friendly staff, and wonderful cocktails. Definitely a place designed for your social media post :). Looking forward to more visits.
Daniel Albert
Daniel Albert: A legitimately great spot in a sea of options. Sat outside on a warm summer night - host was extremely knowledgeable and attentive, especially for a brand new place. Everything we got was incredible - our group got almost every cocktail they have, 10/10 would recommend this place and will be returning. Wonderful addition to the 14th St corridor! 💯
Danielle Perdue
Danielle Perdue: Great service in such a quint space! The dining room/bar decor reminds you of a box cars. Love the specialty cocktails and stumbled across the happy hour lunch. Yum!

Konstantin
Konstantin: Visited this place for breakfast while staying at Ritz Carlton hotel. Well, it is expensive but the food is good, atmosphere is very cozy and place itself is amazing. They do have buffet breakfast on Saturday and Sundays. Monday to Friday is a la carte
DJY30
DJY30: Very comfortable place. I really enjoyed the relaxed but upscale setting. Live jazz on Saturdays, all the other days they play jazz, I guess from Spotify/radio. Still nice and relaxing. Cocktails are very strong and food is very delicious. I recommend to get a reservation ahead of time; it can be crowded in the bar area (small bar) if you dont come at an early time (aka 8pm/2000). Highly recommend.
Shaun “Shaun386” Jafarzadeh
Shaun “Shaun386” Jafarzadeh: Had dinner here after a long drive to DC. Food was good service was both friendly and knowledgeable. Bar staff was helpful with recommendations and knew the local bar scene well.
Ahmed Hameed
Ahmed Hameed: My gf and I were at this place, the drink cup broke and cut my girlfriend’s hand. They fixed this incident. 5 minutes Later the server brought the check and asked me to pay and leave because they were slow !! It was such a big lie … the place was full of customers and he had a big attitude when he seen lil salad dropped on the floor. I was extremely disappointed and treated racistly based on how I dressed First time and last time at this place.

618 Cocktail and Whiskey Lounge: what do users think?
Haven Jimerson
Haven Jimerson: 618 is a cool low key bar with great space to dance. They just opened a rooftop area which will be great for small events. The vibe is laid back but classy.
Tara Jeanne
Tara Jeanne: The salsa dancing event was not air conditions as promised in the event flyer. It was beyond uncomfortably hot and more expensive than usual. $20 is too much to pay for zero air conditioning on a 96 degree day. Also, the salsa music was playing, but sometimes there is a dance group dancing casino rueda, that takes over the dance floor, making social dancing difficult and not enjoyable.
ct zfbm
ct zfbm: Went for Salsa dancing! Great people! Great bar! Drinks are affordable too.
Carol O.
Carol O.: I love that this lounge offers Chinese food from the kitchen below. Not only is good delicious, but the owner is so kind.
FFerraz1
FFerraz1: Possibly the weirdest bar I have ever been to. They call themselves a whiskey bar but everyone was ordering tequila. The atmosphere is a lot closer to a club, theres a big dance floor and they play Drum n Base music. The menu on the website is apparently outdated and they serve fewer options now. Good cocktails though. Tip is AUTOMATICALLY INCLUDED. I was in a party of three and we only ordered alcohol, and they still auto-tipped me. Safe to say they must get a lot of extra money like this. Watch your checks!
Diana Enriquez
Diana Enriquez: Amazing green beer, my first one real Irish beer for st Patrick’s Day after best bf for so long in US the flights of bourbon that was very good, music was so Irish, we had a great time, the servers were amazing they gave us head bands and were so great and attentive that I can’t compliment more this place I really give the best review ever they are just amazing for me.
Kalan Foster
Kalan Foster: Drinks were great. The silent disco was very entertaining. They have weekly events so I definitely recommend checking them out!
최창용
최창용: Bought a 10$ jin and tonic with 20$ and the bartender tipped himself without even asking
Corey R
Corey R: Loved the vibe, the drinks were great and the food was FIRE 🔥.

Round Robin Bar: what do users think?
Caitlin Cordova
Caitlin Cordova: The Round Robin Bar is the perfect place to have a cocktail during the holidays when you’re downtown to see the National Christmas Tree. Located inside the Willard Hotel, which is a work of art in itself, the circular Bar serves cocktails and a full menu of classic options. Cocktails ~$20 apiece. Happy hour is crowded, but there are plenty of standing options around the bar itself, and additional seating options in the hallway of the hotel’s lobby. Our bar table service was quick and efficient. Highly recommend checking this place out.
Annie Wilson
Annie Wilson: Attentive service, beautiful warm atmosphere and classic drinks - a delicious experience. The mint julep is spectacular, not fussy, and the staff are cheerful, knowledgeable and enjoyable to watch keeping bar. We went here to celebrate an occasion but we also went to see the national Christmas tree - great location for this. The historical aspects of the bar make a great addition to the experience.
Paul Terry Services Lawn Care & Landscaping
Paul Terry Services Lawn Care & Landscaping: Christina and her staff are - in a word - AMAZING. Kind, caring and beyond gracious. Special requests are a not a problem for this crew. For the most unique and special celebration, look no further. Grateful for this staff.
Hue Tran
Hue Tran: Went to the place for a drink and dessert. Service was horrible. I was eating on my dessert and the lady walking passed my table and just grabbed my dessert plate without saying anything, none of the " are you done with this? Or can I take this? Was happened.
Alex Holston
Alex Holston: Fantastic. In the 1800’s Henry Clay brought the Mint Julep to Washington DC featuring it at this bar. Rich in history they still make this favorite May drink the same way. Makers Mark. Rose Simple Syrup. Muddle mint. Crushed ice. Our bar tender was fantastic. One of the best. We will return.
Patsy Agpalza
Patsy Agpalza: The Round Robin Bar at the Willard Hotel in D.C. is quickly becoming a favorite spot to have a drink and soak up the atmosphere. The Cedar Plank Roasted Salmon is absolutely delicious. I have ordered it twice now and have been very happy each time. The Bartender, Elias has worked there for 30 years and is absolutely phenomenal. Ask him to make you any drink and you will not be disappointed.
Matthew
Matthew: A classy bar in a historic hotel only steps away from where Ulysses S Grant coined the terms lobbyists. Great bartenders who know how to serve a proper glass of whiskey.

Quill at The Jefferson: what do users think?
Georgia Hensley
Georgia Hensley: What a great experience visiting The Quill. When we arrived there was no place to sit at the bar or restaurant, so our waitress let us go in a little room with a couch and TV, she brought our drinks while we waited. They treated us so special! The drinks are the very best, served with olives and a variety of nuts. We left happy and elated. We will def. return on our next visit to DC The Quill is located at 1200 16th St. NW in Washington DC 20036
Response: Thank you for the kind words! We’re so glad you enjoyed your visit to Quill and hope we can welcome you back again soon.
Linzee Ott
Linzee Ott: Extraordinary vibes, really friendly staff, and supremely tasty cocktails. Sat at the bar and a different time at a table, and thoroughly enjoyed both experiences. Really professional but also creative cocktail menu. Upscale but approachable. A favorite tucked-away spot in DC.
Response: We're so glad you enjoyed your visit to Quill!
Patrick Young
Patrick Young: Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and great cocktails. Quite pricy though, but after looking around the hotel you’ll understand why. They give cashews and pickled vegetables to you while you wait that are very much appreciated. Type of place you’d want to frequent if you want to run into politicians or others with power
Karen Koller
Karen Koller: Outstanding cocktails and service. The kitchen closes at 10pm so I didn’t get a chance to try and food but the complimentary nut mix and pickled vegetables were delicious. Prices were reasonably.
Matthew Brown
Matthew Brown: The bartenders are fantastic. The level of professionalism and craftsmanship is second to none. You cannot get a better drink than the ones made by Meghan and Katie.
Amanda Cropper
Amanda Cropper: Spot on cocktails and service. Charcuterie board is excellent and easily feeds 2-3 people. Worth every penny.
Response: We’re so glad you enjoyed your visit to Quill!
Matthew Wilding
Matthew Wilding: Beautiful bar styled after a glass bar the owner apparently saw in France. Cocktails were great, ambience was perfect. Meghan the bartender was an excellent conversationalist and really knew how to work a room. One of the best hotel bar experiences I’ve had.
Response: Thank you for the kind words about your recent visit to Quill and your positive experience with Megan!
Gabriel Lopez-Bernal
Gabriel Lopez-Bernal: One of the best cocktail bars in DC. Spectacular.
Response: Thank you for the kind words!
VictoriaVenturing
VictoriaVenturing: Beautiful hotel and restaurant, loved the cherry blossom drinks!
Izabelle Monique
Izabelle Monique: Great experience as always. I miss the live piano jazz, though. Peter was wonderful and made The Quill’s nights even better before the pandemic.

The Wells: what do users think?
Melanie Smith
Melanie Smith: Beautiful interiors and solid cocktails if you like gin. The door is normally locked so you have the ring the bell to get in. We rang the bell and no one came for about 5 minutes. I think it’s best to stick with cocktails on their menu. They didn’t have a traditional Negroni on the menu, but my husband asked for one. The waitress was very unsure if they could accommodate the request- which seemed odd for a gin-focused cocktail lounge charging +$20 for a drink. I also over heard someone order a martini at the table next to us, the waitress never asked any amplifying questions, then comes back and hands the guy a martini and says “I hope you like it, I didn’t know what you wanted because you didn’t specify if you wanted it up up, dry, dirty, etc.” Which also seems weird for a bar specializing in gin cocktails that they wouldn’t ask you these questions when you place the order.
Raphael Tisch
Raphael Tisch: The Wells offers a high end gin cocktail experience that does not disappoint. Seating by reservation, with a 1h 40m time limit. This was the only downside... We wanted to stay longer and drink more! If you are a gin skeptic or gin lover, this is the place for you. The geniuses behind these drinks masterfully blend the key elements of cocktails into very cleaver unique experiences, pulling from fresh produce/fruit juices, to unique shrubs and botanicals. We challenged our bar tenders to a vesper-off and were exceptionally pleased with the variations they brought out. Will 💯 be returning. Ambiance and service are top notch. Nothing felt rushed or unattended.
Caroline Fernandez
Caroline Fernandez: If I could give this place 10,000 stars, I absolutely would. I used to come here just about every week and I loved it more each visit. The staff, the drinks, and the food are some of the best that I’ve had in a long time. Now the food isn’t a full meal, it’s more of a snack but I love snacks, so I love this. Every drink that I’ve had here has been wonderful, even if it’s off menu and a surprise. The bartenders are so incredibly talented I wish I could bring them with me everywhere. If you’re one of those people that says gin is not for them, come here, try the drinks, and I guarantee your mind will be changed. I recently left the area but when I return to DC, you better believe I’ll be visiting The Wells.
Miriam Grinberg
Miriam Grinberg: Had a wonderful experience here. We arrived a few minutes early and were seated immediately, and served our drinks pretty quickly as well. The chandelier with succulents was an especially nice decoration. Highly recommend the "Tea Time" cocktail (second picture with the big ice cube), really delicious!
Paul Kamberis
Paul Kamberis: One of the best bars in DC. Get a table at the bar if you can, they usually save them for last (it’s only 4 chairs) but if you’re a gin fan you’ll have the most tailored gin experiences imaginable. Would give more stars if I could.
Carolyn Zacharias
Carolyn Zacharias: We live in the neighborhood and wanted to go in on a rainy, empty evening. The hostess opened the door and we saw every table, booth, and bar seat was empty. She took a cursory glance at her iPad (which showed every table as free) and said they were busy and shut the door. I understand the difficulty of having reservations incoming but on this rainy and cold evening it was clear that nobody was coming in. I was incredibly disappointed to be turned away and not offered maybe a compromise (e.g. you can have a drink here until a reservation comes in).

L'Annexe: what do users think?
Nu S
Nu S: Superb drinks and service! A wonderful cocktail bar with fresh and unique flavored spirits. Complex and nouveau flavor profiles are on the list - Popcorn rinsed tequila, parsnip infused gin, yuzu with pineapple and roasted coconut shavings and kettle one vodka, and sweat pea gin refreshments. Tranquil ambiance with lounge music a venue that accommodates dining, outdoor seating, bar seating and a cozy library room. I wish more places in DC put the same amount of attention to their drinks, decor, and service! My experience was a pure delight, I highly recommend the green leopard cocktail it is better than lemonade and tastes of pure summer. I can’t wait to go back and try other items on the menu! Merci for a lovely experience!
Rebecca Rogers
Rebecca Rogers: We had a fantastic experience! The vibe was great and the bartender was really friendly. The drinks were some of the best I’ve had in DC! Would highly recommend the bananas foster old fashioned
Ariel Aviles
Ariel Aviles: For us, the best cocktails in DC! We went two nights in a row and it was on point. We also had some appetizers
Diana Valentine
Diana Valentine: The drinks & food here are delightful, and the restaurant is gorgeous. It’s intimate, while still energetic. The cheese board we had was to die for, and I’m not exaggerating. The drinks are very speakeasy-esque, which I love. My only complaint was slow service, though our server was extremely friendly and helpful. I have to give them the benefit of the doubt, given that we went in the midst of a pandemic/labor shortage. Highly recommend this place for a date night!
Leila
Leila: My boyfriend and I celebrated my birthday at this bar for the first time. Hakim, the owner was the loveliest most amazing person. Estella and Havier, the bar tenders, asked us about our favorite flavors and made us the yummiest drinks. At the end of the night they treated us with free shots of Tequilas, and made my birthday even more special by taking a shot with me and my boyfriend. I would definitely go back there. ❤️🍹🥂
Moukhtar Nsouli
Moukhtar Nsouli: Some of the best cocktails in the city. The food menu is small but very well curated. Come here on a date with your loved one; the vibe is intimate and the service is on-point.
Kristin Cairns
Kristin Cairns: Chic cocktail lounge with exquisite cocktails and delicious food! Everything about this beautiful venue is unique, from the contemporary yet intimate atmosphere, the classic and re-invented libations, and the delicate dishes with an emphasis on flavor, texture and aesthetics. Owner Fady Saba is a gracious and attentive host, and makes every guest feel at home! Addendum: I was excited to bring an out-of-town friend to this D.C. gem yesterday evening but we were so unimpressed by the tepid welcome that we left after just one drink. Mick arrived as we were leaving and injected some much needed energy into the bar space but we had already checked out.

Lola's: what do users think?
Mike Laarry
Mike Laarry: Stopped by last week to grab some dinner and watch the games. Ordered the short rib entree w/veggies, I really didn’t like it. When I order short ribs I don’t expect for it to be on a tomahawk size bone, the glaze was flavorful but It just wasn’t for me. The bartender Tristen was cool. I’ll come back another day and try something different.
Moses Grossman
Moses Grossman: I proposed to my sweetheart here and the entire experience was wonderful. The staff was absolutely amazing and so helpful. Thanks for the beautiful experience!
Nina Mcrae
Nina Mcrae: Only gave it one star b/c I had too. PLEASE stay away from this place. Food is disgusting. Manger is homophonic and a racist. He charged us for food we didn’t eat and food we didn’t ask for. It’s no life in the place. BEWARE.
Vanessa Long
Vanessa Long: Popped into this bar a couple weeks ago because the pride flag outside caught my attention, I was instantly greeted by Tristan the bartender GM and was made feel welcome. This weekend I had to bring my family in to meet Tristan and enjoy their delicious baked mac and cheese, satay skewers, and ribs!! Will be back again to enjoy their pool table, lounge area, and of course Tristans welcoming energy!
Deegant Adhvaryu
Deegant Adhvaryu: Great Mac and cheese, drinks are solid, and Ali is the nicest bartender. He made us feel very welcome and chatted with us frequently.
Sarah Bartholomew
Sarah Bartholomew: Bartender was insanely rude. I walked in with a friend and said we just wanted some drinks and she rudely replied well you’re at the bar what do you want? I thought perhaps maybe there was table service and mentioned that and she laughed. I am a bartender and have been working in the industry for around 10 years. I have NEVER spoken to a patron the way she spoke to me and it would have never been tolerated by any company I have worked for. I asked my friend if it was me being over sensitive or if she thought the woman was rude and she said yes she was rude. I then went online to look at reviews and it seems almost everyone else feels that way as well. I am appalled. Especially during COVID as an industry worker I respect and value my guests so much and could never imagine treating people this way and expecting them to tip me or ever return. I NEVER write reviews, but thought this woman was so awful she deserved to be called out. There are so many good workers in the industry, you should maybe consider cleaning house and hiring people who genuinely care about your company and value guest experiences.
David Handler
David Handler: Food is pretty good and the vibe is cool, though kind of pricey and staff is very overworked.
Dave Donahue
Dave Donahue: We found this place as it was one of very few places open late after a rain delayed Nats game, while waiting for uber prices to drop. The lady who was the bartender was extremely rude and acted like she had a chip on her shoulder the whole time - seemingly to everyone. I heard one person ask if she had a beer list, she replied “over here honey” and pointed at the tap handles, then walked away. Another customer asked if she had a menu, she said “no” and then walked away. Basic mixed drinks with well liquors were a little on the high priced side, but not out of the normal range for DC. It could be a cool little place if they had a half friendly or helpful bartender.
Response: Mr. Donahue, Thank you for your feedback, and we are sorry to hear that your time at Lola's was less than ideal. Please email me at alejandra@hillrestaurantgroup.com to discuss in more detail.
Samantha Kahn
Samantha Kahn: Great food! the pork sliders are a must , the meatball flatbread was so yummy! Service was amazong and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming.i really enjoyed their playlist and it might make me seem old but I really enjoyed that I could hear the music enjoy it but not have to scream over it 😁. Tristen was super welcoming and we will def. Be back
Response: Samantha, thank you for the 5 star review and amazing feedback. We look forward to hosting you again soon!

Dirty Habit: what do users think?
Olivia M. Wilson
Olivia M. Wilson: Went to Dirty Habit for brunch and it was good! The fruit was really fresh and the potatoes were crisp. However, the service was decent and they only have bar seats available. Maybe that’s because we arrived an hour before they closed for the afternoon. Either way, the food made up for it. I would definitely like to try their dinner menu.
Response: Hi Olivia — Thank you so much for the kind words and for the feedback! We take all feedback seriously, so we’ll be sure to discuss ways to make our service more efficient. We're always trying to improve, so if there's anything else you think of, please let us know. Thanks, and we hope to welcome you back soon!
Blvknative
Blvknative: Going to dirty habit for Valentines Day was top tier! The ambience was everything I was expecting! The deal as far as food and drinks were top of the line! Truly a captivating experience for my company and I.
Katlin B.
Katlin B.: Best French onion soup I ever had! The vibe is trendy and the crowd is very eclectic. The food and drinks were amazing! Will return for soup. Thanks to the awesome host and staff! There is also a nice outdoor area as well.
Lamina Richardson
Lamina Richardson: I was a little disappointed when i visited dirty habit. It’s aesthetically pleasing but i wasn’t impressed with the food. I got the district chicken and the black rice that’s paired with it was very gritty. The dish was also paired with okra and string beans. The veggies weren’t sautéed at all and had no flavor. They literally tasted like microwaved veggies that were previously frozen. The chicken was actually good but the parings sucked so it wasn’t filling. Nice atmosphere though. Really good espresso martini! If i go again it would only be for drinks.
Response: Hi Lamina — Thank you for the kind words as well as the feedback. We hope you had a fun time overall, and we'll be taking your comments about the district chicken into our next meeting with the kitchen team. We take all feedback very seriously and we're always trying to improve, so if there's anything else you think of, please contact stephanie.carre@dirtyhabitdc.c o m and we'll be happy to continue the conversation. The Green Zone: what do users think?
Cindy Yang
Cindy Yang: Vaccination card + id needed. Nicely presented dish, friendly service (although a little slow), and yummy dishes. The portion is not so big but sharing friendly. Recommend fried halloumi cheese, eggs, hummus, and Turkish coffee. Also get their cocktails.
Belkiss Anane
Belkiss Anane: My go-to 💙 i absolutely love everything about this place. From their brunch menu to their cocktails to Arak to their Muhammara! Everything I eat here feels like a hug.
Response: Thank you!!
Jessica C
Jessica C: This is a great bar! The cocktails are excellent. In particular the frozen mint lemonade and the Janissary Corps are great. I don’t remember the name, but the hot buttered drink in the winter is phenomenal. Great vibe for friends or a date. Just not that strong in the food department. Still recommend. Just go for cocktails instead of dinner.
Rima Saif
Rima Saif: I love this place. The brunch here was amazing and every time I come to Washington DC I always make it a point to stop by here. And now that they have brunch it’s absolutely perfect. The food was light and so tasteful. And their drinks are so perfect for spring/summer day.
Response: Thank you so much Rima!
R
R: Some of the drinks are decent but not great if you are hyped about it. I would say Jack and Rose or Bar Charley down the block make better cocktails. The wings, fries and some of the other bites are good but the primary appeal of this place is it’s ambiance reflected well, more than in any other place, in the walls with quirky middle eastern framed covers and portraits as well as the lighting and the playlist. The patio is a respite from humid afternoons on beautiful breezy evenings and the service is mostly good. One of the bartenders upstairs perhaps could use a little courteous manners having firsthand noticed his overall rudeness to patrons. All in all, cozy spot for evening hangouts and a little after since it is open late.
Chioma O
Chioma O: Loved this place! The food and general vibes are wonderful .will definitely come back to try other things on the menu!
Maha Kamel
Maha Kamel: This place is the gem this city needed. Not only are the cocktails and food selection amazing, I come here to feel like home. The music and diverse selection of cocktails, beer, and entertainment is top notch and unlike any other place I’ve been to. We tried the brunch menu today and it was TO DIE FOR 🤤 so yummy!! The halloumi is the best I’ve ever had and everything else was delicious, we tried the chicken fattah, the foul madamas, manouche, Turkish coffee that was so authentic I felt like I was in Istanbul, and the best Bellini and pomegranate mimosa I’ve ever had!!
Response: Thank you Maha!! Hope to see you again soon ☺️
Rahul Tilva
Rahul Tilva: Green Zone is one of my all time favorite bars in DC. Amazing cocktails, friendly people and service, and just a great atmosphere.
Response: Thank you so much!
Ana Paula Pellegrino
Ana Paula Pellegrino: I love this place. The drinks are tasty, the rest of the patrons are fun, the DJs are really good and the dance floor is on fiiiiiiire! Always guaranteed a good time :)

Christopher Yuen
Christopher Yuen: I was in town for a business meeting and I took a few friends out to this bar on a whim and we had a blast! The bartenders were friendly and the drinks were unique and delicious! I had so much fun I ended up leaving my blazer at the bar. I called the manager Graham a few days later and he mailed it back to me all the way to Connecticut. He’s awesome and this place is too!!!!!
Response: Thanks Christopher, it's our pleasure to host you and your friends!
Annie
Annie: Cool bar with a chill vibe. Came here on a Monday night at 630 and there were only 2 other groups. Not the typical DC bar. There are a few tables and the bar to sit at. The cucumber mule was really good!
Response: You can always count on us for good vibes and great drinks, Annie. We're happy to hear you enjoyed your cucumber mule. Come back and see us for more cocktails in the future! -Cheers, The Crown & Crow
