Gilbert is a calm and insightful instructor who helped get me from no driving experience to getting my license in just a month and a half. Gilbert puts his client’s needs and interests first and is very flexible to make sure that they get what they need. He was happy to set aside time and reschedule things as needed. To Gilbert, it’s all about the client and helping them become the best driver possible (and in the time frame that they need). Similarly, I wanted certain kinds of instruction and practice not on the road test that Gilbert was happy to give me lots of time with (e.g. highway driving at various times of day/levels of traffic). I had a fun time driving around with Gilbert and found his instruction incredibly helpful. I was quite nervous when we first started (being an adult with no driving experience at all), but within just a few lessons I was already feeling very confident on the road. His method of instruction is very much just letting you drive and commenting only where needed to assist and improve your skills. He answers questions politely and thoughtfully. Honestly, can’t recommend Gmel enough!

Also accommodating with schedules. He can be quite firm when correcting repeated mistakes or a risky move, but I took it as constructive teaching. Overall a great school and I recommend!

Jean was prompt (even when I made the appointment late), gave clear explanations for how the parallel parking segment would be scored, and gave good attention to the moves I was making as a driver. Victoria Dare: TERRIBLE!!!!!! If I could give -5 I would. I scheduled a road test and they absolutely ripped me off. They told me that I “used too much caution”, on the phone call after my test and the instructor was commenting the entire time during my road test. When arriving at the traffic circle there is a yield sign. I stopped because there was a car coming around the circle and I did not know if they were going to continue going because they DID NOT have a yield sign; the instructor then goes on to say “why did you stop” as a “critique ” when as a new driver I should stop. He also said that I “used too much caution” when entering the parking lot at the end of my test, and because the cars behind me were honking. Upon entering the parking lot I was close to the curb, I did not touch, graze, scrape or go up on to the curb as I was turning the wheel to get further from the curb he proceeded to put his hand onto the wheeling resulting in me failing when this was not necessary. In the phone call he tries to use his “20 years of experience” to say that this was NOT a bad judgment call. Another one of the instructors called me a liar and at the end of the phone call proceeding to say “you’re making me sick”. There are many other things that were said during the test as well as during the phone call that were COMPLETELY unprofessional, disrespectful and did not provide a reasonable explanation as to why I failed my road test.

I was 8 months pregnant, 26yrs old with a full time job and working all the way in fairfax. Things were so tough for me at the time but I knew that I was going to learn how to drive and get my license before having my son. The instructors were very understanding of my situation and did their best to make themselves available when going out for test drives. reee baby: I’m glad i chose this driving school after going through others. Ms. Martin and Ms Jasmine were great, They were patient, thorough, and helpful. I’m an experienced driver but i still needed help with reverse and Ms Martin made me feel comfortable. Class ended on 4/20 and Ms Jasmine took me for my road test on Thursday, the 26th.
