Rih furniture repair: what do users think?

Charles Betts: Our antique dining room table was just refinished by Rih furniture repair. We are so pleased with the results. We have used this table for over 40 years for many family dinners and special occasions. It was on the list for donations when we decided to have it refinished. Best decision! Omar was responsive, answered questions about stain and finishing and even sent pictures of the process. Very reasonable and completed the project on schedule.

No Name: Omar is one of the best vendors I have worked with. We had several pieces of furniture get mold from a storage unit. He cleaned off the mold by sanding down and painting over. The result was AMAZING He was also 60-70% cheaper than his competitors. I feel bad for the guy because he told me his google was hacked so all his reviews disappeared. He can stain furniture like no other. Definitely use Omar Rih

Matt Williams: I needed an estimate for damage caused by a moving company. His estimate was so reasonable I was embarrassed I asked. Very honest!

Eric Stevenson: Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, ValueVery great work , customer serice , and Professional also. I really recommend!

Donell Mason: Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, Value

Don's Furniture Restoration: what do users think?

Joseph Riley: I found Don on line and took a chance! I had a mirrored dressing table/ vanity which has been in my family for close to 90 years. Of course it was in basement storage and somewhat neglected but I couldn’t part with it. It had been painted at least thee times in a gaudy yellow paint. I asked Don to take a look at it and he was more than responsive. I took the two pieces to his place in Lorton and he told me it was from the “Art Deco” period , he is a collector and pretty much an expert of that period. He quoted me a price and a couple of weeks later, he told me it was finished and stripped and stained. Simply amazing, , he also found behind the mirror section , the maker and the year, 1933. Amazing, thank you Don!

Robbie Miller: Don and his team did a great job repairing my antique rocking chair.

poppy tony: Don did an excellent job restoring an old kitchen table. It looks brand new!

Marianne Zweig: We are so pleased with our new refinished wood front door. Can’t stop looking at it. What an improvement, making our home so welcoming. AFR was amazing, from start to finish. Communication was great, after the sanding we I visited the studio and picked out our stain. AFR provides pickup and delivery. Check out the photos on their Facebook page. Top quality. Thanks again

S Lampton: Yasser Haridi is an artist and a treasure to find. We presented him with a cat-scratched-missing pieces-scarred-somewhat abused huge mahogany dining table. We debated about donating (even trashing) it but after thinking about all the family meals shared on it and it’s travel with us in 3 moves over nearly 45 years…we had to make an effort to bring it back to life. Yasser embraced the challenge and shared every step of his fine craftsmanship with pictures, emails, and a visit where we decided on the finishing color together. The first picture we received was our table pulled apart like a Leggo set! Yasser re-glued every single piece and finished each section inside and out. It is so rare to find someone who has such a passion for their work. Once delivered to our dining room we asked him to sign his name to it which he did. We can’t wait to share meals with our family hopefully for another 50 years and to share the story of our almost abandoned table. Thank you Yasser, Antiques &Furniture Restoration, Inc.!

David King: Yasser did an outstanding job repairing, refinishing, and reupholstering a 100+ year old chair that had taken quite a beating over the past century. He replaced missing parts, strengthened key areas to ensure better support, and completed a masterful upholstery job, matching all the seams and lining up the design on all the cushions. He provided updates and photos of his progress throughout the project. We were so pleased with his work, we also had him repair and refinish a wooden hippo we got 20 years ago in East Africa. He again demonstrated great attention to detail and gave us back a hippo that looked much nicer than it ever did new.

Mike Burton: Positive: QualityIncredible workmanship and meticulous attention to detail! And the project was completed sooner than promised! We could not be happier with the amazing transformation of the worn out finish on our front door to its current beautiful finish!

Shawn Wells: Meticulous and magnificent work. Yasser and his colleagues are true artisans. I had several pieces refurbished and the work they did was done with the utmost care for the pieces. Now I will truly be able to enjoy this dining room set for years to come. I highly recommend this Team.

Peter Schnall: I brought in two, beat up 100 year old chairs and got back two gorgeous antiques. Mr Haridi explained his painstaking, by-hand process for restoration and invited me to approve the work at key points in the process. He also helped me pick leather and upholstery tacks. Mr Haridi takes great pride in his workmanship. It was fantastic to find a profesional who cared as much about my chairs as I did.

Furniture Rescue - The Back Dorr: what do users think?

Tiffany Roberts: This is THE place to go to hunt for DIY furniture in Northern VA. Once you’re there, you can roam the warehouse of unending furniture and paints. Everyone was SO nice and gave me great suggestions for my next DIY project. I purchased two chairs for my new house and will definitely be back for paints!

ann feltman: Absolutely the BEST place ever!!! Amazing selection of furniture to refinish or have customized. They even offer classes to paint and create your own. Joni is truly the BEST teacher. Truly a treasure, especially for Northern Virginia! Totally in love!

Lauren Kirkman: I had a great evening out doing the Painting 101 class at the back dorr! Joni is very knowledgeable, and showed the class so many different types of paint, painting techniques and finishes. The store is fabulous too. It was really neat to see how an ugly dresser could get a new, much more stylish, life. I bought some paint and really look forward to tackling my first project.

Charlie Ampuero (Charlie): Great place and great prices! Stop in often, inventory is always updated. Joni and Dave are very knowledgeable and can solve any furniture problem.

Y G: This is a hidden gem you don’t want to miss. Their staffs are so friendly and professional. You can find all kinds of high quality antique furnitures here. I would definitely come back again.

B KH: I had a great experience there yesterday. This is the shop that acquires, cells, and repairs older furniture. The furniture available is very unique. They are working on it in the back room and you are free to wander around and explore. If you are looking for something unique this is your store to examine.

Stephanie Cushing: Joni and her team did a great job refinishing an antique walnut chested drawer and vanity desk that got scratched and damaged during a move. She worked with our budget and got everything done just in time for the holidays. The finished pieces look beautiful! We will definitely be back with more furniture for them to fix. Their store is also full of antique wood pieces for sale that were fun to look at!

Doug Francis: Excellent experience with Erick and Mitch repainting our maple kitchen cabinets to white. Gave good advice on the shade (Alabaster), and carefully refinished everything over 4 days. These are craftsmen so their finish work is high quality. All of our friends have been impressed. Before photos show the Maple finish circa 2004, and new 2019 custom painted white kitchen cabinets. Schoenbauer Furniture Service, Inc.: what do users think?

Linda Genevie: We are more than satisfied. From picking the fabric to them picking up the furniture to delivery. Great job on the reupholster. We love it.

Kristen Parks: We hired Schoenbauer to repair and touch up a few favorite pieces of furniture that have experienced wear and tear over the years. The process from start to finish was excellent-- easy estimate and scheduling, prompt arrival and efficient completion of the work. The end result was great and our furniture looks renewed! Would definitely hire again.

Eve Ellison: This company does amazing work! They are easy to work with and are craftsmen. We had used them several years ago to restore a antique dining room set (including upholstering chairs) and restore and upholster an antique heavily carved chair. The workmanship was fantastic. Recently one the dinning room chairs was damaged (actually the wood back of the chair broke in two places). They fixed it and you absolutely cannot tell it was ever damaged! We would very highly recommend this company to anyone and we will use them again.

Tim Felegie: Door refinishing took some time, but it was worth the wait. The beautiful result exceeded my expectations.

Lisa Fife: They did great work restoring our kitchen cabinet doors to like-new condition.

Virginia Vitucci: Georgetown Refinishing and Antique Restoration repaired my “butler’s table” and replaced the badly worn casters on the round oak dining table that I inherited from my great grandmother. Everyone that I dealt with was knowledgeable and very helpful. Moreover, the work on both tables was excellent and they are in better shape than they have been in many years. Many thanks!

Rufina Nelson: I brought in an ottoman that had a cracked seat. Greg was very honest with me on pricing and realistic on what could be done and if it would be worth the cost of the repair vs. the cost of the furniture piece. He was able to make a temporary fix for me. I am very satisfied with the professionalism of this business and its employees.

California Closets - Washington DC: what do users think?

Elizabeth Nova: I have used California Closets in 3 houses and their work is exceptional and the quality outstanding. My designer was pleasant, efficient and did an amazing job designing a new pantry and 3 large closets. The installer was on time and did an incredible job putting it all together and cleaning up after. The materials are so strong and dyrable and very beautiful. Shelves are adjustable. Please express my deep appreciation to the designer and installer. CC is worth every penny and I highly recommend them. Services: Kitchen design , Cabinetry & hardware design , Closet design

CH: Over the years I had excellent experiences with California Closet. Although the company exchanged hands. But, nevertheless I had the installations of my closets in my two condos by their excellent Designers and Installers. In the past, I worked with Marsha, Designer, and Ralph the installer; and most recently with Colleen Cuff, Designer who I highly recommend for her professionalism, efficiency, experience and follow-up through the installation phase. The installer Mr. Dong was just superb, efficient, courteous, meticulous and the work was flawless. Definetely I would recommend their services. Services: Cabinet construction & installation , Cabinetry & hardware design , Closet design

Wendy Patten: I used this company to install wall to wall bookshelves. I wanted something that we aesthetic but could really handle all my books. The designer did a great job meeting with us to review our needs and what we wanted. She kept flexible and submitted several options. We chose our favorite option. The installation was done in one day and done well. There was a need to come back for a small correction and they did a great job with that as well.

Carol Weiss: California Closets designed and installed a home office — wraparound desk with shelving, drawers, special inside cabinet for printer, etc. The designer did an excellent job translating my vision into a highly detailed concept drawing that fit some tricky dimensions including a window on one side of the desk. The designer provided options and guidance for materials and colors, and ensured the design was exactly what we wanted. Installation was meticulously carried out; the two techs were extremely professional and everything fit perfectly. They also thoroughly cleaned up poop afterwards. California Closets created a functional and high quality home office at a fraction of the cost that a custom design contractor would charge. We couldn’t be more pleased. Service: Custom furniture

Kendra Bacchus: The design process with Reza was great. My needs were taken into consideration 99% of the time. I knew what I wanted prior to meeting which made the process smooth. Once I signed off on design and made a deposit I waited roughly 3 months….which was expected in the height of the pandemic. When the installers arrived- the process took an entire day( was expected) the installer Franklin worked efficiently and communicated well when an issue would arise. At the end of the build Franklin walked me through the builds (Main closet and Laundry room). I was very pleased with the work executed. Later on after the installers left- my husband noticed that we were not able to access the water or electrical in Laundry room if an emergency were to occur-I promptly notified my designer and he said it was missed during the install and was in the original design. I also realized I could use a few more shelves in my main closet so I was able to order additional. It took a few months for the shelves to come in as well as the update to the missed opening for the laundry room. The shelves were not the right size and the opening that was cut was vey shotty. The new installer was able to cut shelves on site ( not the best quality) and the hole that was cut in order for us to access the water for washing machine was a mess… the integrity of the unit was compromised and I was told I could lose an entire shelf of storage. So…..waited a few more months a supervisor inspected the unit in laundry room, was told that the entire side needed to be replaced. Fast forward to a few more months….Installer came in tried to repair hole by using drywall caulk and blue painters tape. Not happy and I was told that they will be ordering a new panel …..still waiting. I paid for all services 100% (1 year of waiting for correction). Although I was extremely pleased with the overall install- my experience has deteriorated with how the small mistake has turned into uncertainty of the quality of my laundry room build. My designer Rena was excellent and the initial installer Franklin did an impeccable job with both the main closet and laundry room, so sad that a small miss made such a huge impact on overall service. Service: Closet design

AJ Finkelstein: I wanted to turn a mudroom into a pantry by lining it with open shelves. before I moved into my "new" 100-year-old house. The CC rep seemed a little doubtful at first but she embraced the concept. We spent one very productive evening on design and the deed was done. It took many months to get installed, which was a bit annoying, but it went smoothly when it finally happened. And the pantry is excellent, Service: Cabinet construction & installation

Neiletta Wright: Positive: Professionalism, Quality, ResponsivenessI’ve had 3 closets done by California Closets and I’ve been satisfied everytime. My sales rep Jean-Paul was very professional and always available to answer any questions that I had. He also understood my vision and helped me create a closet that was best catered to my needs. Definitely recommend.

dylan Trotta: Positive: Professionalism, Quality, ValueAniello has hands of gold! I had a 50 year old cane back arm chair that was in dire need of repair. He restored it to its original beauty. He has also repaired several 70 year old dining room chairs for me. His work is amazing!

Dru Robertson: Aniello restored a 100 year old Oak dresser owned by my parents. When I brought it to Aniello, the wood + brass handles were deeply darkened by years of grime. One of the legs had a crack and the upper part of the dresser was unstable. Aniello made the dresser glow with its original luster. I could finally see the detailed carving in the wood and the brass handles. The finish on the dresser is satin smooth. I feel like I can appreciate why my parents first fell in love with the dresser. Thank you Aniello!!

Eyal Golan: I own a moving company in Manhattan, I have been working with Aniello and been using this shop since 2004.These guys are amazing at what they do, I would not go anywhere else to fix or restore any kind of furniture.Highly recommend.

Woodcraft of Washington DC Area: what do users think?

Cara Nicole Stock: Really mind gentlemen here! Came in with zero knowledge starting a personal repurposing project and I was helped gently by the two guys who were working (I wish I got their names). Will definitely return for any wood making projects I take on in the future!

Leonid Matvyeyev: So there I was in this store, I needed nothing and yet many $ later I walked out thinking back if I needed any more. I bought some stuff that I did not need but wanted, a good selection of tools and the staff was very helpful. I have not been to many woodcraft and that other Woodworking store but they all seem as good as the others.

Vince Charming: Knowledgeable staff, plenty of class options, exotic wood, and hardware for DIYers like me! Similar to a Rockler, in a good way.

Ed Skinner: Changed a backordered item, and picked up three pen kits for Summer birthday presents. Amazing inventory! Great service!

Stacey F.: Very helpful staff and really love ability to use advanced tools for workshop fee and have an experienced person to help - really helped!! Note that most small supplies are a bit more expensive than Home Depot basics, but I suspect probably higher quality or more durable than the big box store. If you are able to, definitely support these guys!

Aida Dedajic, CAE: Amazing class! We did the date night and built a beautiful box. Our instructor, Nate Blodgett, was detail oriented, technical, patient, explained all the tools. It was so refreshing. We loved the experience and building something with our hands.

Studio Bianco Designs: what do users think?

Diane Bellis: Iain at Studio Bianco Designs built 2 bathroom vanities and 2 matching medicine cabinets for 2 small Beth rooms in a condo. Absolutely beautiful. The big advantage with Iain and Studio Bianco Designs is they can build custom furniture exactly to your specifications so it will fit perfectly in your space. Iain was able to build these in less time than it would have taken to order them from a large company and the colors are not limited to a set number of choices. Service: Custom cabinet design & installation

Lisa Kocsis: Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, ValueOur cabinet is exquisite. Iain listened to our needs and created a masterful, one-of-a-kind piece of furniture that not only exceeded those needs, but also gave us so many of our “wants,” as well, with special, personalized touches. He’s an artist through and through. We couldn’t recommend more highly.Service: Custom cabinet design & installation

Arhan Gunel: Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ResponsivenessIan installed a custom bench (see picture). It has a cabinet in the middle with a pull out drawer and two lift-up bench seats with pneumatic hinges. The craftsmanship and quality is excellent. Highly recommended!Service: Installation

Andrew Narod: Positive: Professionalism, Quality, ResponsivenessCould not be happier with the work Iain did for us — we had custom built ins made and they look incredible. Very professional, responsive, and fantastic craftsmanship! Would highly recommend.Service: Custom cabinet design & installation

Marc S Parsont: Positive: Professionalism, Quality, ResponsivenessOur built-in bookshelves are both classical and functional at the same time. Iain took the time to craft something we wanted and needed, He took our vision from scratch to finish. It was an awesome experience to work with someone who has the customer in mind.Service: Custom cabinet design & installation

Yasasvi Yadlapati: Iain is meticulous, in every step of the process, from consulting with clients all the way to installation of the piece in their home. In the shop, the pieces themselves are refined (and if needed, reworked) to the point of perfection. It is rare to come by with someone with such experience and passion for their work, and it has truly been an honor to learn from someone that is a master at their craft.

Jen P: Love the built-in cabinets Iain installed in our living room, which even integrate our baseboard radiators! Iain assisted us in designing the space, listening to what we had in mind and offering options. He was patient and accommodating when we made a few changes mid-way through the project. He was professional, always there when he told us he was going to be, and demonstrated great attention to detail in all the finishing touches. We will definitely hire him again for future projects!

Clare Little: We moved to a narrow Old Town house and wanted a place to store dining room things. Being a smaller home we also wanted to use the dining room as a multi-use space; combination dining room and office. My wife had a vision for what we wanted, we found Iain and within a few days had our general design worked out. Iain came to the table with some great design ideas that really brought the space to life. The quality of the finished is excellent, and we are happy we used Iain. A real master craftsman.

Laura Hyde: David restored two family heirlooms that had been in my husband’s family for over 100 years. David was wonderful to work with for both of my pieces. He responded promptly to all communication and finished the pieces quickly, as promised. The quality of work is unbeatable, especially for the reasonable price that he charges. My mother in law was in tears when she saw the pieces from her childhood brought back to life and I am proud to have them in a prominent place in my home!

Martha Stephens: Highly recommend! Refinished an antique upright piano and very old oak table. Both needed extensive repair and they did a great job. Fair price and good turnaround.

Jason Wiley: This place is amazing. They finished my oak desk top in a few days. Amazing. 30 years of experience.

Catherine G: I highly recommend T-n-T, they do an excellent job at refinishing & repairing furniture, David is an expert in his craft. The best around

Craig Meaney: Craig Stevens is a knowledgeable, patient, and approachable teacher as well as an accomplished woodworker. I highly recommend taking a class at PFW and thoroughly enjoyed the bench on bench project course I took there.

Richard Sand: I’ve taken 4 workshops here now, they are a lot of fun and quite instructive. Craig the instructor combines eastern and western woodworking traditions and techniques, and works very hard to ensure that all of the students successfully complete the projects.

Chris Weir: If you are interested in improving your woodworking skills, PFW is THE place to go in southeastern PA. Alan and Mario are excellent instructors and talented woodworkers. I will definitely be returning for additional classes.

Jeff and Shelly Towler: Thoroughly enjoyed the classes I have taken so far, and look forward to more. Learned key tips to ensure proper tool setup that has paid dividends in my hobby work and time to get it done.

Sassy Sauce: I missed all of the after Christmas saw items. This location had a few products left over from Christmas but nothing I really wanted. Overall the store was neat and organized. I didn’t need any additional items for this trip, just preparing for next years holiday decorations.

Chaturbhuj bhojwani: Great shops for home goods, this is very big shop i have been going that HomeDepot for many years i was there very first day when they opened, biggest problem is coustmer service is very bad here i stud for help for more than 20 minutes before someone showed up.

Kev- keepingitreal: This Home Depot is very convenient if you’re in the Rhode Island/Brentwood NE DC Area. They offer a verity of products that can help you with your Lawn, Garden, Appliances, Painting, Outdoor Patio, Home Improvement, Cleaning Products, Tools/Equipment Rentals and many many more. I really Appreciate the help from a young male staff who was working in the Garden/Mulch area, he was very Helpful and Knowledgeable with assisting me with the products along with a young female cashier on the inside of the store. Now you can never get the help you need when you’re in the store aisles. Every time you asked a staff member who’s in the same aisle as you. Can you help me with something? Their reply seems to be, I don’t work over here and they don’t know who can help you..!!! Home Depot needs better training for their staff who’s working in the store aisles..

Anna Lloyd: Desmond in the home and garden went out of his way to help us find something that 4 different employees had just shrugged their shoulders and said that even though it was available online they were probably out. Desmond knew exactly where it was and showed us himself, even though it was on the complete other side of the store. He really took customer service to the next level.

Chanpen Tee: I came here for the kitchen cabinets project. The lady is so helpful and friendly. She takes her time explaining all the questions we have.

Urban City Glass: what do users think?

Sandra Maler: Absolutely fantastic service. Marc was very friendly and professional. He measured a large custom vanity mirror for us and installed it the same day a few hours later. It looks outstanding and his price was very competitive. He even offered to help carry the quartz countertop when the counter installer hurt his back. Can highly recommend if you need mirror, glass or shower doors. Very, very impressed with this excellent service.

Anne Glass: Urban city went above and beyond for our project. The shower doors were expertly installed and the product is high quality. They even cleaned the residue from the old door! The table topper fits perfectly (the owner came back to double check the measurement!). Great customer service and wonderful experience all around.

Ravali Reddy: Working with Adil and team at Urban City Glass was wonderful. The consultation was quick and the installation even quicker. We love our new shower doors and gym mirror and have already recommended Urban City Glass to friends and family.

Jocelyn Quinn: Amazing customer service - I wanted a mirror installed on the wall (pretty large) and it was done within a week from making my first call to them! Very affordable considering how great the work they did was, the mirror is beautiful. 100% recommend urban city glass.

Kathryn Wallace: Wow! What an incredible experience with a bunch of professionals. I cannot speak more highly of Urban City Glass. They were both timely and incredibly talented. Our window broke and with just two short visits, they measured and replaced only the pane that was broken, rather than having to buy a whole new window. Without asking, they also cleaned up and sealed the window for free. I really appreciate that they went above and beyond!

Kristin Bennani: We purchased a new dining table and needed a way to protect it from our kids. After reviewing several options, we decided a glass cover was the best solution so we could enjoy the beauty of the table and protect the finish at the same time. We ordered this in a custom size and it fits perfectly. Not only that, but it was hand delivered and white glove service to clean and install it. It’s gorgeous. We’re thrilled.

Ray Armada: Urban City Glass did an excellent job replacing a huge bathroom mirror. They responded quickly to my request with a very competitive estimate and were very fast in completing the work. They explained the installation issues that caused the mirror to crack and expertly installed the mirror so that it would not happen again. I highly recommend Urban City Glass!

Jason Orzechowski: Adil was awesome to work with. Our shower door looks amazing. Communication was great through out, pricing was great, turn around time was way faster than expected. Could not be happier with the experience & end product.

Alison Black: Urban City glass was perfect for our custom shower glass project. They were very responsive, fast to measure/install, gave great advice about what type of add-ons to pick and also add-ons that wouldn’t be necessary. Price was also right! We have had our shower glass installed for over a month and we are beyond happy with the finished product.
