Charles Betts: Our antique dining room table was just refinished by Rih furniture repair. We are so pleased with the results. We have used this table for over 40 years for many family dinners and special occasions. It was on the list for donations when we decided to have it refinished. Best decision! Omar was responsive, answered questions about stain and finishing and even sent pictures of the process. Very reasonable and completed the project on schedule.

No Name: Omar is one of the best vendors I have worked with. We had several pieces of furniture get mold from a storage unit. He cleaned off the mold by sanding down and painting over. The result was AMAZING He was also 60-70% cheaper than his competitors. I feel bad for the guy because he told me his google was hacked so all his reviews disappeared. He can stain furniture like no other. Definitely use Omar Rih

Don's Furniture Restoration: what do users think?

Ashley Ruffead: I do not recommend this company. I hesitated whether or not to post this but a friend pointed out I had a terrible experience and wasted a lot of money, and I should let people know because they might use Don because he had good reviews, which was the reason I used him. I contacted Don and sent info and photos and advised I wanted a hutch stripped and painted white with a trim on top. I said I had painted the body but the doors and drawers gave me trouble so the body was one color, the drawers and doors another color. He quoted $750. I dropped off the hutch and upon seeing it he increased the price to $1,275. Since it was the first time he’d seen it in person I agreed. I stated again I wanted it stripped and painted white with a trim on top. He said he wasn’t sure his equipment/paint would work with it and I replied he had to use something that would take to the wood and he assured me he would. A couple weeks later I ask for an update and he said it’s nearly finished. A few days later he called late morning and said he needed to drop off the hutch. No one was at home so I asked to reschedule and he replied the hutch was already in the truck and he needed the space in the truck. I rushed home and got a coworker to meet me. I was in a hurry to get back to work and did not inspect it closely - at a glance it looked good. The next night I started to install the doors and noticed chips in the paint. I called Don and he said it was the nature of the piece and to use the touch-up paint he gave me. I noted it had been 48 hours and I, as a DIY person, had primed and painted the body of the hutch and it had been fine for two years. I asked if he primed the hutch and he snapped yes and barked “what do you want me to do?” I said there was also an area unpainted and he agreed to take the doors back. While he had the doors I noticed the trim was not flush on one side. Considering how defensive he was about chips in his work 48 hours after delivery it seemed he didn’t want to do a quality job (and he’d already cashed my check) so I stayed quiet so I could get the doors back. After getting the doors I went to install them and noticed they don’t match the body of the hutch. I realized he never stripped the body. He sanded the doors and drawers and painted everything white. Because I had already painted the body it had a darker color underneath so the white overtop the darker body did not match the white overtop the sanded doors and drawers. At a glance the piece looks ok. But I paid $1,275 for a piece that was not stripped as I requested, not primed, that has chips, does not match itself and has a trim that isn’t flush with the side. This was the first time I had paid someone to do a project and I regret it.

Joseph Riley: I found Don on line and took a chance! I had a mirrored dressing table/ vanity which has been in my family for close to 90 years. Of course it was in basement storage and somewhat neglected but I couldn’t part with it. It had been painted at least thee times in a gaudy yellow paint. I asked Don to take a look at it and he was more than responsive. I took the two pieces to his place in Lorton and he told me it was from the “Art Deco” period , he is a collector and pretty much an expert of that period. He quoted me a price and a couple of weeks later, he told me it was finished and stripped and stained. Simply amazing, , he also found behind the mirror section , the maker and the year, 1933. Amazing, thank you Don!

Robbie Miller: Don and his team did a great job repairing my antique rocking chair.

Leila Balali: We are very pleased with Don's work. He refinished a table and now it looks new again.

poppy tony: Don did an excellent job restoring an old kitchen table. It looks brand new!

Antiques & Furniture Restoration Inc: what do users think?

Rebecca Sellner: It was the middle of July 2021. The celebration of the 175th anniversary of the church was going to be the first weekend in October. The baptismal font created by a grieving father upon the loss of his son in world war II was in pretty bad shape. It apparently had been broken and very poorly re-glued, not to mention the laminate that had fallen off. We had no idea where we could go to get it re-glued, refurbished, and revitalized between then and the October festivities. I sent pictures to Mr Haridi, who estimated a very fair price. He told us he could have it refurbished by mid-September. He commenced with disassembling the font to the tiniest pieces, cleaning off all the old glue, varnish and embedded dust before reassembling and re-staining. It looks magnificent, and he was finished two weeks early!! I would greatly recommend this establishment for any furniture repair/refurbishing needs. I would also recommend having a look at the many pieces that I would hardly have given a second glance that were restored to great value shown in his YouTube videos. Truly amazing! I turned around and brought in my father's teak bedside table (which he had fallen on many times in his unstable later years) in pieces in a box. It is now completely restored and looks like nothing ever happened!

Marianne Zweig: We are so pleased with our new refinished wood front door. Can’t stop looking at it. What an improvement, making our home so welcoming. AFR was amazing, from start to finish. Communication was great, after the sanding we I visited the studio and picked out our stain. AFR provides pickup and delivery. Check out the photos on their Facebook page. Top quality. Thanks again

Dale Fink: These days when too many heirloom cabinets are being sold for a few dollars and end up painted lime green and used to hold items of bad taste, I was worried that I would be able find a responsible craftsman to restore a china cabinet that has been in my family since the 1870's. Mr. Haridi is expensive, but you get what you pay for. The piece looks like it did when it was new, but Mr. Haridi used better glue for the legs, so I am hoping it will still be with us for another century or two.

Karen Novak: We had antique tables, hope chest, and a child's booster chair restored by Yasser Haridi at Antiques & Furniture Restoration, Inc. in Sterling and we could not be happier with the result! Each piece was restored to heirloom quality and will now be focal point pieces in our home. We have already taken another piece to him and hope to gather a few other pieces for him to restore as well. His work is perfection!!! :-)

S Lampton: Yasser Haridi is an artist and a treasure to find. We presented him with a cat-scratched-missing pieces-scarred-somewhat abused huge mahogany dining table. We debated about donating (even trashing) it but after thinking about all the family meals shared on it and it’s travel with us in 3 moves over nearly 45 years…we had to make an effort to bring it back to life. Yasser embraced the challenge and shared every step of his fine craftsmanship with pictures, emails, and a visit where we decided on the finishing color together. The first picture we received was our table pulled apart like a Leggo set! Yasser re-glued every single piece and finished each section inside and out. It is so rare to find someone who has such a passion for their work. Once delivered to our dining room we asked him to sign his name to it which he did. We can’t wait to share meals with our family hopefully for another 50 years and to share the story of our almost abandoned table. Thank you Yasser, Antiques &Furniture Restoration, Inc.!

David King: Yasser did an outstanding job repairing, refinishing, and reupholstering a 100+ year old chair that had taken quite a beating over the past century. He replaced missing parts, strengthened key areas to ensure better support, and completed a masterful upholstery job, matching all the seams and lining up the design on all the cushions. He provided updates and photos of his progress throughout the project. We were so pleased with his work, we also had him repair and refinish a wooden hippo we got 20 years ago in East Africa. He again demonstrated great attention to detail and gave us back a hippo that looked much nicer than it ever did new.

Mike Burton: Positive: QualityIncredible workmanship and meticulous attention to detail! And the project was completed sooner than promised! We could not be happier with the amazing transformation of the worn out finish on our front door to its current beautiful finish!

Shawn Wells: Meticulous and magnificent work. Yasser and his colleagues are true artisans. I had several pieces refurbished and the work they did was done with the utmost care for the pieces. Now I will truly be able to enjoy this dining room set for years to come. I highly recommend this Team.

Peter Schnall: I brought in two, beat up 100 year old chairs and got back two gorgeous antiques. Mr Haridi explained his painstaking, by-hand process for restoration and invited me to approve the work at key points in the process. He also helped me pick leather and upholstery tacks. Mr Haridi takes great pride in his workmanship. It was fantastic to find a profesional who cared as much about my chairs as I did.

Joanne Thornton: Yasser Haridi and his upholsterer, Humberto, did a beautiful job repairing, refinishing, and reupholstering a classical carved mahogany rocking chair for us. Mr. Haridi and his sons were very responsive to our questions and communications, and told us upfront that this project would take at least six to eight weeks. The end result was stunning and well worth the wait. The finish glows warmly with different hues depending on the light, and Humberto's attention to detail with the fabric pattern and piping is remarkable. They have rejuvenated a precious family heirloom, and we are very grateful.

Furniture Rescue - The Back Dorr: what do users think?

Tiffany Roberts: This is THE place to go to hunt for DIY furniture in Northern VA. Once you’re there, you can roam the warehouse of unending furniture and paints. Everyone was SO nice and gave me great suggestions for my next DIY project. I purchased two chairs for my new house and will definitely be back for paints!

Elizabeth Taber: When I priced out buying new kitchen furniture, replacing my six chairs alone would have cost more than I wanted to spend. Plus I didn't want to give up my table, which is in good condition, or the chairs, which are some of the few I can sit in comfortably. Joni and The Back Dorr to the rescue! They did a lovely and professional paint job, working hard to customize a color that kept the seats true to the color of my table. And that was after patiently removing the old, damaged finish (see before and after pics). Every encounter with the folks at The Back Dorr was pleasant, and I highly recommend working with them to save the furniture you love.

Ryan Boyer: The Back Dorr and The Front Porch is the place to go if you are looking for restored furniture, furniture repair, or custom painting. The owners are knowledgeable, helpful, and incredibly patient in dealing with their customers. We got a customized cabinet turned into a media table which was exactly what we were looking for when we couldn't find anything brand new. Their work is the highest of quality, their prices are fair, and their selection is great.

ann feltman: Absolutely the BEST place ever!!! Amazing selection of furniture to refinish or have customized. They even offer classes to paint and create your own. Joni is truly the BEST teacher. Truly a treasure, especially for Northern Virginia! Totally in love!

Lauren Kirkman: I had a great evening out doing the Painting 101 class at the back dorr! Joni is very knowledgeable, and showed the class so many different types of paint, painting techniques and finishes. The store is fabulous too. It was really neat to see how an ugly dresser could get a new, much more stylish, life. I bought some paint and really look forward to tackling my first project.

Laura Small: The quality here is top-knotch, and the customizable options allow you to get your furniture piece looking exactly the way you want. Joni's team re-finished this old china cabinet base for me to use as a TV stand; the paint and preservation-coating really brought the piece to life. I really appreciated the personal care and attention The Back Dorr team put into producing a quality piece that I can admire in my home for many years. You won't regret entrusting your antiques to this honest, hardworking business!

Charlie Ampuero (Charlie): Great place and great prices! Stop in often, inventory is always updated. Joni and Dave are very knowledgeable and can solve any furniture problem.

Y G: This is a hidden gem you don’t want to miss. Their staffs are so friendly and professional. You can find all kinds of high quality antique furnitures here. I would definitely come back again.

B KH: I had a great experience there yesterday. This is the shop that acquires, cells, and repairs older furniture. The furniture available is very unique. They are working on it in the back room and you are free to wander around and explore. If you are looking for something unique this is your store to examine.

Stephanie Cushing: Joni and her team did a great job refinishing an antique walnut chested drawer and vanity desk that got scratched and damaged during a move. She worked with our budget and got everything done just in time for the holidays. The finished pieces look beautiful! We will definitely be back with more furniture for them to fix. Their store is also full of antique wood pieces for sale that were fun to look at!

Furniture Medic by Karen: what do users think?

Doug Francis: Excellent experience with Erick and Mitch repainting our maple kitchen cabinets to white. Gave good advice on the shade (Alabaster), and carefully refinished everything over 4 days. These are craftsmen so their finish work is high quality. All of our friends have been impressed. Before photos show the Maple finish circa 2004, and new 2019 custom painted white kitchen cabinets. Vienna, VA
Response: We appreciate your review Doug! We are so glad we could help you out. Please let us know if we can help you again in the future.

Edward Bullard: Attempted to refinish an antique mahoganies dining room table. The result was awful After two years the finish was mottled. The company refused to refund my cost. Consequently I am filling suit in small claims cort

Jason Schermerhorn: I found Furniture Medic through the Google search engine - which linked me to the company through the Yellow Pages as servicing Stafford, VA area. I e-mailed pictures of my furniture's damage as the company's website instructed, but had to e-mail again and follow up for a response. I then played phone tag with Brad (possibly the manager or owner), who seemed very helpful when I spoke to him. While conversing with Brad, it came out that Brad's company did not service Stafford area, which surprised both of us because I found Furniture Medic through Google search and the Yellow Pages online. Nonetheless, Brad offered to estimate a price taking into account the distance his tech would have to travel and promised to contact me again regarding a quote to come out to Stafford to do the repairs - unfortunately Brad never followed up. I prompted him again with an e-mail about a week later but nobody at the company responded. Maybe I am old fashioned but I am a big fan of communication and if you promise to do something, you do it, period. If you cannot deliver, you admit it up front. The biggest disappointment was being told somebody would do something, but with apparently no intention of following through. Valuable time was lost at my end because I was dealing with a Transportation Service Provider.

Roselle Center For Healing: Horrible customer service!!!!

Chris's Furniture Restoration: what do users think?

Pat Talbert Smith: I had the pleasure of contacting Chris's Furniture Restoration this fall about restoring two 1940's-era Queen Anne secretaries that had been damaged in a basement flood following two heavy rains in July. Not only was his estimate more reasonable than those of other companies I contacted, but the work was absolutely top-notch. Mr. Rickman worked quickly, safely, and efficiently in my parents' home to restore these sentimental pieces. His expertse was clearly evident, and we will gladly contact him for any restoration work in the future. He also repaired a dining room chair that we had been unable to use for YEARS. If only we'd known about Chris' Furniture Repair years ago!

Stuart Pisarra: Chris Just delivered our dining room set back after refinishing it. WOW! It looks better than it did 30 years ago when we first bought it! Thanks Chris you are AMAZING!

Schoenbauer Furniture Service, Inc.: what do users think?

Linda Genevie: We are more than satisfied. From picking the fabric to them picking up the furniture to delivery. Great job on the reupholster. We love it.
Response: Thanks so much for the feedback, Linda! The pieces look great in the room!

Kristen Parks: We hired Schoenbauer to repair and touch up a few favorite pieces of furniture that have experienced wear and tear over the years. The process from start to finish was excellent-- easy estimate and scheduling, prompt arrival and efficient completion of the work. The end result was great and our furniture looks renewed! Would definitely hire again.

Susan Stonesifer: After a cable repair person's staple gun left a sizable chunk out of the edge of a mahogany coffee table ,I contacted Schoenbauer. They were prompt about returning my email, giving me an estimate, and setting up an appointment. John arrived this morning and was done in an hour. I would have to look at my photos to figure out where the ding was. He did a great job of telling me what the process was, the best way to care for my furniture, and agreeing that the Nats are the best. Reliable, dependable, and fabulous service.

Eve Ellison: This company does amazing work! They are easy to work with and are craftsmen. We had used them several years ago to restore a antique dining room set (including upholstering chairs) and restore and upholster an antique heavily carved chair. The workmanship was fantastic. Recently one the dinning room chairs was damaged (actually the wood back of the chair broke in two places). They fixed it and you absolutely cannot tell it was ever damaged! We would very highly recommend this company to anyone and we will use them again.

Tim Felegie: Door refinishing took some time, but it was worth the wait. The beautiful result exceeded my expectations.
Response: Thanks so much for the feedback, Tim! We appreciate the opportunity to refinish your door!

Lisa Fife: They did great work restoring our kitchen cabinet doors to like-new condition.

Barbara Dobberthien: I want to thank everyone at Schoenbauer's for breathing life back into my family's old pieces of furniture. I'm thrilled with them all! Each of the six pieces were well over 50 years old and now look like brand new. From my initial phone consultation through delivery of the finished pieces, everyone and everything has been outstanding!

Virginia Vitucci: Georgetown Refinishing and Antique Restoration repaired my “butler’s table” and replaced the badly worn casters on the round oak dining table that I inherited from my great grandmother. Everyone that I dealt with was knowledgeable and very helpful. Moreover, the work on both tables was excellent and they are in better shape than they have been in many years. Many thanks!

Jeffrey Keller: Very disappointed in the workmanship and service... I did not experience superior workmanship and top quality professional service. My furniture was delivered with the entire front portion of the bed not refinished. After sending someone out to look at the incomplete work they confirmed my concern and scheduled a second pick up. On the second delivery the bed was damaged and yet another appointment is necessary for a repair. After Months of this back and fourth and 7 scheduled appointments for pick up, delivery and repair the owner can only offer an apology and a "guarantee" i will be satisfied. I recommend you choose another company that stands behind their product and services and not waste your time and money with one that does not value their customers satisfaction.

Rufina Nelson: I brought in an ottoman that had a cracked seat. Greg was very honest with me on pricing and realistic on what could be done and if it would be worth the cost of the repair vs. the cost of the furniture piece. He was able to make a temporary fix for me. I am very satisfied with the professionalism of this business and its employees.

California Closets - Washington DC: what do users think?

Gary Berman: This is the second time I have used CC for installation of closet systems. My first experience was stellar leading to using them again. My second experience was not. Not only was the design poor and inefficient, it cost me more money because more wood was needed than necessary. The installer was sloppy in the installation. CC rebuilt part of my closet system because they agreed on the poor design and poor quality installation - good for them. But their redesign did not entirely fix the problem. Still there is a section of the closet needing repair and the re-installer was not prepared to fix it on site, so now they have to come back for a third time causing us to remove everything from the closet again. My recommendation is to study the plans and ask more questions than I did. My designer, Colleen Cuff, was newer to CC and that should have been a red flag. Lastly, CC did not refund me the amount of money that was wasted in the original design which they estimate was about $370 out of $8,000. Service: Cabinet construction & installation
Response: Hi Gary, we are sorry to hear that your experience this time wasn't great. Please contact Steve Counihan at 703-573-9300 to discuss the situation. California Closets Washington DC

Elizabeth Nova: I have used California Closets in 3 houses and their work is exceptional and the quality outstanding. My designer was pleasant, efficient and did an amazing job designing a new pantry and 3 large closets. The installer was on time and did an incredible job putting it all together and cleaning up after. The materials are so strong and dyrable and very beautiful. Shelves are adjustable. Please express my deep appreciation to the designer and installer. CC is worth every penny and I highly recommend them. Services: Kitchen design , Cabinetry & hardware design , Closet design
Response: Elizabeth, we’re so pleased to hear that you love your new reach-in closet! We strive to ensure the most professional experience and guarantee the absolute highest quality materials. We’re so thankful for your business – and hope we can serve you again. Stephen Counihan, GM, California Closets Washington DC

CH: Over the years I had excellent experiences with California Closet. Although the company exchanged hands. But, nevertheless I had the installations of my closets in my two condos by their excellent Designers and Installers. In the past, I worked with Marsha, Designer, and Ralph the installer; and most recently with Colleen Cuff, Designer who I highly recommend for her professionalism, efficiency, experience and follow-up through the installation phase. The installer Mr. Dong was just superb, efficient, courteous, meticulous and the work was flawless. Definetely I would recommend their services. Services: Cabinet construction & installation , Cabinetry & hardware design , Closet design
Response: Thank you for the opportunity to create a custom-designed spaces in your home! We’re thrilled you’re so happy with your new custom closet! I’ll make sure to pass along your kind words to Colleen. We’re so thankful for your business – and hope we can serve you again. Stephen Counihan, GM, California Closets Washington DC

Wendy Patten: I used this company to install wall to wall bookshelves. I wanted something that we aesthetic but could really handle all my books. The designer did a great job meeting with us to review our needs and what we wanted. She kept flexible and submitted several options. We chose our favorite option. The installation was done in one day and done well. There was a need to come back for a small correction and they did a great job with that as well.
Response: Thank you for the opportunity to create a custom-designed space in your home! We hope you enjoy your new custom bookshelves. Our work doesn’t end until you’re completely satisfied. We sincerely appreciate your business. Stephen Counihan, GM, California Closets Washington DC

Carol Weiss: California Closets designed and installed a home office — wraparound desk with shelving, drawers, special inside cabinet for printer, etc. The designer did an excellent job translating my vision into a highly detailed concept drawing that fit some tricky dimensions including a window on one side of the desk. The designer provided options and guidance for materials and colors, and ensured the design was exactly what we wanted. Installation was meticulously carried out; the two techs were extremely professional and everything fit perfectly. They also thoroughly cleaned up poop afterwards. California Closets created a functional and high quality home office at a fraction of the cost that a custom design contractor would charge. We couldn’t be more pleased. Service: Custom furniture
Response: Thank you so much for your kind words, Carol. We really appreciate you taking the time out to share your experience with us. Cheers, California Closets - Washington DC

Jourdain Damas: Sara came to our home and was extremely helpful in advising us of the best colors and textures for the entertainment center in our movie room and shelves for my office. Measurements could not have been more precise, cabinets/shelves couldn't be more swank, and we couldn't be more happy. Furthermore, we were planning on hosting dinner for friends and family and we asked if they could promise the install prior to it, especially given global supply chain issues. They promised and delivered! 6 stars if you ask me. Service: Cabinet construction & installation
Response: Jourdain, we’re so pleased to hear that you love your new entertainment center and office! We pride ourselves in bringing luxury into our client’s homes. We’re so glad you got to work with Sara, as she is dedicated to excellence. We’re so thankful for your business – and hope we can serve you again. Kendra Bacchus: The design process with Reza was great. My needs were taken into consideration 99% of the time. I knew what I wanted prior to meeting which made the process smooth. Once I signed off on design and made a deposit I waited roughly 3 months….which was expected in the height of the pandemic. When the installers arrived- the process took an entire day( was expected) the installer Franklin worked efficiently and communicated well when an issue would arise. At the end of the build Franklin walked me through the builds (Main closet and Laundry room). I was very pleased with the work executed. Later on after the installers left- my husband noticed that we were not able to access the water or electrical in Laundry room if an emergency were to occur-I promptly notified my designer and he said it was missed during the install and was in the original design. I also realized I could use a few more shelves in my main closet so I was able to order additional. It took a few months for the shelves to come in as well as the update to the missed opening for the laundry room. The shelves were not the right size and the opening that was cut was vey shotty. The new installer was able to cut shelves on site ( not the best quality) and the hole that was cut in order for us to access the water for washing machine was a mess… the integrity of the unit was compromised and I was told I could lose an entire shelf of storage. So…..waited a few more months a supervisor inspected the unit in laundry room, was told that the entire side needed to be replaced. Fast forward to a few more months….Installer came in tried to repair hole by using drywall caulk and blue painters tape. Not happy and I was told that they will be ordering a new panel …..still waiting. I paid for all services 100% (1 year of waiting for correction). Although I was extremely pleased with the overall install- my experience has deteriorated with how the small mistake has turned into uncertainty of the quality of my laundry room build. My designer Rena was excellent and the initial installer Franklin did an impeccable job with both the main closet and laundry room, so sad that a small miss made such a huge impact on overall service. Service: Closet design
Response: Kendra, we truly appreciate your business and appreciate your detailed and honest feedback/review – and am embarrassed that we’ve not exceeded your expectations at every stage of your project. I will huddle with the team today, and we’ll reach out shortly with an update. Please accept my apologies and I thank you in advance for your patience. Stephen Counihan, GM, California Closets DC

Carol Warden: Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ResponsivenessJeffrey Frank was very helpful in designing my master bedroom closet. It's a pleasure to walk in as it is light and airy. The center chest of drawers is very attractive. The carpenters were on time and professional. I am very pleased with the work.Services: Cabinet construction & installation, Refurbishment
Response: Hi Carol, we are glad to hear that Jeffrey was helpful in designing your primary bedroom closet! California Closets Washington DC

AJ Finkelstein: I wanted to turn a mudroom into a pantry by lining it with open shelves. before I moved into my "new" 100-year-old house. The CC rep seemed a little doubtful at first but she embraced the concept. We spent one very productive evening on design and the deed was done. It took many months to get installed, which was a bit annoying, but it went smoothly when it finally happened. And the pantry is excellent, Service: Cabinet construction & installation
Response: AJ, we’re so pleased to hear that you love your new pantry! We strive to ensure the most professional experience and pride ourselves in bringing luxury into our client’s homes. We sincerely appreciate your business. Stephen Counihan, GM, California Closets Washington DC

Neiletta Wright: Positive: Professionalism, Quality, ResponsivenessI’ve had 3 closets done by California Closets and I’ve been satisfied everytime. My sales rep Jean-Paul was very professional and always available to answer any questions that I had. He also understood my vision and helped me create a closet that was best catered to my needs. Definitely recommend.
Response: Hi Neiletta, we are so glad to hear that as a repeat customer, you've had great experiences every time. Thank you for trusting us with your closets and organizational needs! California Closets Washington DC

The Furniture Restoration Center: what do users think?

Aracelis Alvarez: My in-laws were going to discard a beautiful chair because the cane seat broke. Thankfully I didn't listen to my husband and decided take it from them and revive it. I found Anielo and after discussing my options I decided to have it machine caned and he did a great job. He is a true professional.
Response: It was easy to see how important this chair was to you and so we tried to provide the restoration that you envisioned. I think of each piece I restore as a very important business card as well as something that was made in the past that needs to be seen and appreciated in the future

Mary McGahren: After calling several places with let's just say not great results, the owner (Aniello) gave me an incredibly reasonable estimate quickly and over text/phone, which he 100% honored in his shop. He was easygoing, kind, and clearly loves what he does - he is VERY good at it!!! This table was broken by a mover (and by me, previously) and is probably close to 100 years old, owned by my grandfather - so it is a special piece I wanted to save - and I have never, EVER seen it look this good. He went above and beyond, the wood is shining and beautiful, he covered the hardware and made sure there were feet for the legs. I can't see where the breaks happen unless I get in there and look really really hard. It's absolutely gorgeous work on a unique and challenging repair. I would bring other wood furniture to him in a heartbeat!

dylan Trotta: Positive: Professionalism, Quality, ValueAniello has hands of gold! I had a 50 year old cane back arm chair that was in dire need of repair. He restored it to its original beauty. He has also repaired several 70 year old dining room chairs for me. His work is amazing!
Response: I am more than happy to be able to provide my skills and knowledge to you. It enables me to preserve what was made by those in the past so that those in the future can see how we worked and what we made.

Barbara Smith: The owner is very pleasant and does wonderful work. We've had several pieces of furniture restored by him and have been very pleased.
Response: It is an honor and pleasure to be entrusted with the restoration and repair of your family treasures. Thank You Aniello Imperati

Michael Greene: Furniture Restoration Center is owned and run with commitment to ideals of craftsmanship and quality. The shop is not fancy, and the neighborhood is gritty at best, but you won't find better work being done in the NYC metro area. You can definitely spend a lot more for poorer work and indifferent customer service at a shop in Chelsea or the LES, but why would you do that? You'll get first quality work here, from deeply knowledgeable craftsmen, at a better than fair price.

Dru Robertson: Aniello restored a 100 year old Oak dresser owned by my parents. When I brought it to Aniello, the wood + brass handles were deeply darkened by years of grime. One of the legs had a crack and the upper part of the dresser was unstable. Aniello made the dresser glow with its original luster. I could finally see the detailed carving in the wood and the brass handles. The finish on the dresser is satin smooth. I feel like I can appreciate why my parents first fell in love with the dresser. Thank you Aniello!!
Response: I understand the importance of those items passed on to us by family and treat them with the same level of care that you show by investing the effort and expense of having them preserved, In many cases the items represent those people themselves.

Eyal Golan: I own a moving company in Manhattan, I have been working with Aniello and been using this shop since 2004.These guys are amazing at what they do, I would not go anywhere else to fix or restore any kind of furniture.Highly recommend.
Response: Thank you for the compliment and taking the time to share your thoughts and experiences in doing business with us over the years. It is with great pride that I have been able to provide my services to a satisfactory degree to such a renowned and well established company such as yours for so many years. Aniello Imperati

Imran Khan: First time ever trying to restore a sofa which seemed like a wild idea and should have just gotten a new set but they just don't make things like they use to. Went in with no idea what to expect but Anniello was very professional and made me feel like family. His prices were very reasonable and finished product blew me away with quality and the finish. His new location is kind of hidden but worth the find.

Woodcraft of Washington DC Area: what do users think?

Symon Phoenyx: I'm a novice woodworker and this is the absolute best store in the area for my needs. Staff isways friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The store is always clean and presentable. They offer woodworking classes, and will even help suggest other ways to accomplish your task. They aren't cheap by any means, but they are easily appropriately priced for their products, it's just an expensive hobby. 😅

Michael A: I recently took up a little wood working and doing crafts and this place has all that you need to get started with your projects. I'm doing more woodturning now and the staff are all experts and able to set you up right for your project. The prices can be a little high on some items but they cater to quality in this shop. The machinery are all top notch equipment and you won't find the more economical choices here like you may at Harbor Freight or Lowe's. This shop has a smaller selection for those into resin casting compared to the Leesburg store but their online selection has anything you may be missing. They offer several selections of exotic wood blanks as well but some can get pricey but you are paying for quality so I don't mind the extra costs. If you're into wood turning, wood carving, making cutting boards and trays, or finish carpentry then you need to stop by and shop around. I'm a regular now and glad I found this place. It's the only place around for specialty wood working that I know of. You can buy everything you need to make the items shown.

Cara Nicole Stock: Really mind gentlemen here! Came in with zero knowledge starting a personal repurposing project and I was helped gently by the two guys who were working (I wish I got their names). Will definitely return for any wood making projects I take on in the future!

Chopped Champ: This store is a smaller than other locations, but carries a very good supply of tools (power and hand) and sundries for all your woodworking needs. Staff was very courteous and helpful and the store was spotless. They have a nice selection of milled lumber both domestic and exotic, but prices were a bit high in comparison to what I'm accustomed to as I usually purchase rough and do the milling myself. Store had tons of finishing materials in stock from dyes to topcoats. Parking is abundant as the store is located in a strip mall. This is a very good store for any woodworker from novice to professional with a range of products to help you start and complete your projects.

Leonid Matvyeyev: So there I was in this store, I needed nothing and yet many $ later I walked out thinking back if I needed any more. I bought some stuff that I did not need but wanted, a good selection of tools and the staff was very helpful. I have not been to many woodcraft and that other Woodworking store but they all seem as good as the others.

Vince Charming: Knowledgeable staff, plenty of class options, exotic wood, and hardware for DIYers like me! Similar to a Rockler, in a good way.

Ed Skinner: Changed a backordered item, and picked up three pen kits for Summer birthday presents. Amazing inventory! Great service!

Brad Moffett: Store has an excellent selection of woodworking tools, equipment and supplies. Lots of specialty tools as well for tiring, routing, jigs, and clamps. Prices are a bit higher than at the big box stores, but they have items the dedicated woodworker can't find there. I especially like their collection of vaneers. Plus, the staff there are always very knowledgeable. A trait you definitely won't find in the big box stores on a consistent basis.

Stacey F.: Very helpful staff and really love ability to use advanced tools for workshop fee and have an experienced person to help - really helped!! Note that most small supplies are a bit more expensive than Home Depot basics, but I suspect probably higher quality or more durable than the big box store. If you are able to, definitely support these guys!

Aida Dedajic, CAE: Amazing class! We did the date night and built a beautiful box. Our instructor, Nate Blodgett, was detail oriented, technical, patient, explained all the tools. It was so refreshing. We loved the experience and building something with our hands.
Response: Thanks for the feedback. We are extremely pleased that you enjoyed the class. Thx again..Mike

Studio Bianco Designs: what do users think?

James Arcara: This is the second time we have had Iain design and build custom built-in book cases and cabinets for us. We loved what he built for our former home , so when we moved we knew we would have Iain build in our new house. The craftsmanship is great and we are very happy with the final product. The detail and design fit perfectly in our house built in 1870. I highly recommend Iain for your custom design needs. He's the best in the area and his ratings here prove it. Service: Custom cabinet design & installation

Diane Bellis: Iain at Studio Bianco Designs built 2 bathroom vanities and 2 matching medicine cabinets for 2 small Beth rooms in a condo. Absolutely beautiful. The big advantage with Iain and Studio Bianco Designs is they can build custom furniture exactly to your specifications so it will fit perfectly in your space. Iain was able to build these in less time than it would have taken to order them from a large company and the colors are not limited to a set number of choices. Service: Custom cabinet design & installation

Lisa Kocsis: Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, ValueOur cabinet is exquisite. Iain listened to our needs and created a masterful, one-of-a-kind piece of furniture that not only exceeded those needs, but also gave us so many of our “wants,” as well, with special, personalized touches. He’s an artist through and through. We couldn’t recommend more highly.Service: Custom cabinet design & installation
Response: 😌 I am humbled by your adulation. Thank you so very kindly.

Andrew Moore: Mr. Iain is a true artist, craftsman and engineer. He listens to what you want and need, provides input and delivers a creative and practical design that becomes a reality. He delivers when he says he'll deliver, there is a cost sheet so there is never any surprises, and he more than delivers the actual product. I could not be happier with the end result. There is no question that I would use him again. Thank you, Maestro Iain! Services: Custom cabinet design & installation , Cabinet painting
Response: Thank you so much for your kind words. It would be an honor and pleasure to be offered the opportunity to create for you again in the future.

Arhan Gunel: Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ResponsivenessIan installed a custom bench (see picture). It has a cabinet in the middle with a pull out drawer and two lift-up bench seats with pneumatic hinges. The craftsmanship and quality is excellent. Highly recommended!Service: Installation
Response: 😌 humbled. Thank you

Andrew Narod: Positive: Professionalism, Quality, ResponsivenessCould not be happier with the work Iain did for us — we had custom built ins made and they look incredible. Very professional, responsive, and fantastic craftsmanship! Would highly recommend.Service: Custom cabinet design & installation
Response: Always so satisfying to hear such kind words. Thank you

Marc S Parsont: Positive: Professionalism, Quality, ResponsivenessOur built-in bookshelves are both classical and functional at the same time. Iain took the time to craft something we wanted and needed, He took our vision from scratch to finish. It was an awesome experience to work with someone who has the customer in mind.Service: Custom cabinet design & installation
Response: Thank you. Pleasing the customer is always my priority.

Yasasvi Yadlapati: Iain is meticulous, in every step of the process, from consulting with clients all the way to installation of the piece in their home. In the shop, the pieces themselves are refined (and if needed, reworked) to the point of perfection. It is rare to come by with someone with such experience and passion for their work, and it has truly been an honor to learn from someone that is a master at their craft.
Response: You honor me. Your growth has been exemplary, and has embellished my creations. Thank you for the devotion you have shown.

Jen P: Love the built-in cabinets Iain installed in our living room, which even integrate our baseboard radiators! Iain assisted us in designing the space, listening to what we had in mind and offering options. He was patient and accommodating when we made a few changes mid-way through the project. He was professional, always there when he told us he was going to be, and demonstrated great attention to detail in all the finishing touches. We will definitely hire him again for future projects!

Clare Little: We moved to a narrow Old Town house and wanted a place to store dining room things. Being a smaller home we also wanted to use the dining room as a multi-use space; combination dining room and office. My wife had a vision for what we wanted, we found Iain and within a few days had our general design worked out. Iain came to the table with some great design ideas that really brought the space to life. The quality of the finished is excellent, and we are happy we used Iain. A real master craftsman.

T-N-T Furniture Refinishing: what do users think?

Laura Hyde: David restored two family heirlooms that had been in my husband’s family for over 100 years. David was wonderful to work with for both of my pieces. He responded promptly to all communication and finished the pieces quickly, as promised. The quality of work is unbeatable, especially for the reasonable price that he charges. My mother in law was in tears when she saw the pieces from her childhood brought back to life and I am proud to have them in a prominent place in my home!

Martha Stephens: Highly recommend! Refinished an antique upright piano and very old oak table. Both needed extensive repair and they did a great job. Fair price and good turnaround.

Jason Wiley: This place is amazing. They finished my oak desk top in a few days. Amazing. 30 years of experience.

Catherine G: I highly recommend T-n-T, they do an excellent job at refinishing & repairing furniture, David is an expert in his craft. The best around

Anthony Flowers: Great quality work, will use services again!

Philadelphia Furniture Workshop: what do users think?

Craig Meaney: Craig Stevens is a knowledgeable, patient, and approachable teacher as well as an accomplished woodworker. I highly recommend taking a class at PFW and thoroughly enjoyed the bench on bench project course I took there.

Richard Sand: I’ve taken 4 workshops here now, they are a lot of fun and quite instructive. Craig the instructor combines eastern and western woodworking traditions and techniques, and works very hard to ensure that all of the students successfully complete the projects.

Theta Nya: This place is mecca for the wanna be and the entirely certain they know everything already woodworker. The machines are top notch the classes are amazing, but the teachers are really why you should go. I especially am grateful for having had Mario Rodriguez teach many of the classes I took. He is rock star. There isn't a more patient or knowledgeable person you could hope to learn from. Mario especially, but all of the teachers are unflappable, charismatic and willing to step in and navigate me through the parts I'm stymied by at home. Best money I ever spent.

Kevin NA: I wish I could give this place 100 stars! Alan, Mario and Leslie are dedicated, talented and passionate instructors. There is such a depth of knowledge and woodworking expertise that you'd be foolish to pass up a class at PFW. So if you're looking to learn skills that will benefit you for a lifetime, build fine furniture that will be in your family for generations, or are looking for a quality, novel experience, then take a class. You wont regret it!

Chris Weir: If you are interested in improving your woodworking skills, PFW is THE place to go in southeastern PA. Alan and Mario are excellent instructors and talented woodworkers. I will definitely be returning for additional classes.

Jeff and Shelly Towler: Thoroughly enjoyed the classes I have taken so far, and look forward to more. Learned key tips to ensure proper tool setup that has paid dividends in my hobby work and time to get it done.

Patricia Spedding: I had my great grandmother bed room see red done by then many years ago and still is perfect to this day! Highly reconnect this place for refinishing antiques, they can be trusted to care!

John Smith: Had my first class its going to be a good experienceDr Smith

Asher Snyder: Wow! Great classes! The nicest and most experienced instructors you could ever get! Definetly recommend

Owen Phelan: Fantastic atmosphere and great teachers. Loved it and got a great piece of furniture to boot.

The Home Depot: what do users think?

Sassy Sauce: I missed all of the after Christmas saw items. This location had a few products left over from Christmas but nothing I really wanted. Overall the store was neat and organized. I didn’t need any additional items for this trip, just preparing for next years holiday decorations.

Chaturbhuj bhojwani: Great shops for home goods, this is very big shop i have been going that HomeDepot for many years i was there very first day when they opened, biggest problem is coustmer service is very bad here i stud for help for more than 20 minutes before someone showed up.

Kev- keepingitreal: This Home Depot is very convenient if you’re in the Rhode Island/Brentwood NE DC Area. They offer a verity of products that can help you with your Lawn, Garden, Appliances, Painting, Outdoor Patio, Home Improvement, Cleaning Products, Tools/Equipment Rentals and many many more. I really Appreciate the help from a young male staff who was working in the Garden/Mulch area, he was very Helpful and Knowledgeable with assisting me with the products along with a young female cashier on the inside of the store. Now you can never get the help you need when you’re in the store aisles. Every time you asked a staff member who’s in the same aisle as you. Can you help me with something? Their reply seems to be, I don’t work over here and they don’t know who can help you..!!! Home Depot needs better training for their staff who’s working in the store aisles..

Jeff Rueckgauer: Needed a red 10 cup Brita pitcher. App says there is 1 in stock. Not on the shelf. 4 associates said they couldn't help but would page someone for the aisle. 10 minutes is more than enough time for someone to at least arrive, even if they have to look further. This HD had been really good for many years. The pandemic is no excuse for just unhelpful people and plainly unconcerned, inept management.

Rickey Anderson: I went to the Rhode Island Avenue store it was good. What would made it excellent if their stock was current with the website. They didn't have it even though the computer said they did have it. The item was Sphagnum moss. Happy that I was able to find a few other items

Bailey Cage: Unfortunately this was the first time I’ve been to a Home Depot where the staff was completely unknowledgeable. I had spent hours online trying to research the best products / methods for tiling my second-story concrete subfloor with no definitive answers, so I decided to head to the store and find someone to help me. Normally Home Depot workers are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, but whoever they sent back to flooring to help me seemed to know nothing. He was able to show me where items were on the aisle, but he couldn’t answer a single question about how to tile my floor or what the differences and pros/cons in products were. It was incredibly frustrating and unhelpful, and I ended up leaving with a couple hundred dollars of products I later had to return. What truly upset me is that I did some more research once I got home just to find out the answer I was looking for is common knowledge in construction, but as someone doing a DIY project, I just didn’t know what terms I had to search for. For a Home Depot employee - the flooring specialist - to not know this is astounding.

jamesbowdenjr: This is the worst Home Depot is in the entire country. I am trying to get a door, but the store is unresponsive, the management is inept and provides no additional assistance, the associates are extremely slow, unknowledgeable of the products. The worst customer service experience I have ever had. I do not recommend this store. Please go to another Home Depot location.

Anna Lloyd: Desmond in the home and garden went out of his way to help us find something that 4 different employees had just shrugged their shoulders and said that even though it was available online they were probably out. Desmond knew exactly where it was and showed us himself, even though it was on the complete other side of the store. He really took customer service to the next level.

DAVID GILL: paint dept vert slow. When paint was done I was not told it was done. I came up to the counter and stood there waiting while emotes helped others. After 10 minutes he pointed at can. I said is that mine he looked at me like Duh.

Chanpen Tee: I came here for the kitchen cabinets project. The lady is so helpful and friendly. She takes her time explaining all the questions we have.

Urban City Glass: what do users think?

Sandra Maler: Absolutely fantastic service. Marc was very friendly and professional. He measured a large custom vanity mirror for us and installed it the same day a few hours later. It looks outstanding and his price was very competitive. He even offered to help carry the quartz countertop when the counter installer hurt his back. Can highly recommend if you need mirror, glass or shower doors. Very, very impressed with this excellent service.

Anne Glass: Urban city went above and beyond for our project. The shower doors were expertly installed and the product is high quality. They even cleaned the residue from the old door! The table topper fits perfectly (the owner came back to double check the measurement!). Great customer service and wonderful experience all around.

Ravali Reddy: Working with Adil and team at Urban City Glass was wonderful. The consultation was quick and the installation even quicker. We love our new shower doors and gym mirror and have already recommended Urban City Glass to friends and family.

Jocelyn Quinn: Amazing customer service - I wanted a mirror installed on the wall (pretty large) and it was done within a week from making my first call to them! Very affordable considering how great the work they did was, the mirror is beautiful. 100% recommend urban city glass.
Response: I really appreciate your feedback!

Kathryn Wallace: Wow! What an incredible experience with a bunch of professionals. I cannot speak more highly of Urban City Glass. They were both timely and incredibly talented. Our window broke and with just two short visits, they measured and replaced only the pane that was broken, rather than having to buy a whole new window. Without asking, they also cleaned up and sealed the window for free. I really appreciate that they went above and beyond!

Jesse Leifert: Urban City Glass was great. Very easy to communicate with and quick to respond via text and call. Measuring to install was about a week and we really like the outcome. They did two showers for us and we'd use them again in a heartbeat. Compared them to two other companies and they were best in price and response time. Highly recommend.

Kristin Bennani: We purchased a new dining table and needed a way to protect it from our kids. After reviewing several options, we decided a glass cover was the best solution so we could enjoy the beauty of the table and protect the finish at the same time. We ordered this in a custom size and it fits perfectly. Not only that, but it was hand delivered and white glove service to clean and install it. It’s gorgeous. We’re thrilled.

Ray Armada: Urban City Glass did an excellent job replacing a huge bathroom mirror. They responded quickly to my request with a very competitive estimate and were very fast in completing the work. They explained the installation issues that caused the mirror to crack and expertly installed the mirror so that it would not happen again. I highly recommend Urban City Glass!

Jason Orzechowski: Adil was awesome to work with. Our shower door looks amazing. Communication was great through out, pricing was great, turn around time was way faster than expected. Could not be happier with the experience & end product.

Alison Black: Urban City glass was perfect for our custom shower glass project. They were very responsive, fast to measure/install, gave great advice about what type of add-ons to pick and also add-ons that wouldn’t be necessary. Price was also right! We have had our shower glass installed for over a month and we are beyond happy with the finished product.
