The Capital Candy Jar: what do users think?

t mac: A nice around the corner on Capitol Hill if your into different chocolate. Just step away from the metro and bus route. Yes they serve ice cream too. A chill spot if your not doing anything and just want to get out the house and do a little exercise and want a sweet treat for you, the kids and even the your furry kids.
Response: Thanks for taking the time to write a review.

Jeff P: Neighborhood spot for ice cream, candy, and fudge. There are a few picnic tables with umbrellas outside now, which is great. They also make District branded chocolates. I've seen these around town but I believe they make a lot if not all of them here. Service is friendly and they generally have samples.

Don Robinson: Always loved this place and they have great candy!
Response: Hi Don thanks for the review and for being a customer. We appreciate your business.

Cory Matthews: They have ICE CREAM!!! Great snacks and treats for gifts and more! Truffles, chocolats dipped pretzels, gummy treats and more. Did I mention they have ICE CREAM!!! Pictures to come, but the special flavor was amazing!!!
Response: Thanks Cory. We appreciate the review.

Temmeka Moore: Man these truffles are everything!! Butter Pecan Truffles are a must. So are the Lemon ans Champagne. I live in Richmond and go here one a month for my fix. If you don’t know then you must embark on this place. Nice gentleman in there too who is pleasant and sweet.
    Response: Thank you so much!

leo v: Great truffles and more, but the ice cream is to die for in this tiny shop with a quaint neighborhood vibe. The ice cream is from South Mountain Creamery, a local small organic dairy farm near Frederick MD about an hour from DC and thanks to Candy Jar, it's available right here in the city. If I'm going to be bad, it better be worth it. At The Capital Candy Jar, it is and then some!
Response: Thank you for your kind review.

Randall Thacker: I LOVE taking these candies home to family in other parts of the country as gifts because they love receiving them. A great variety of uniquely DC oriented candies. Especially love the cherry blossom ones! This is the next Georgetown Cupcake - where when you are in DC you MUST buy one!

Ashley Vicos: Capital Candy Jar is a MUST Stop Location when visiting the DC area!!! It’s a tantalizing trip for everyone in your group & your taste buds won’t be disappointed!!! It’s hard to find locations that create all of the edible goodies by hand & take time to perfect each delicious morsel!!! The customer service is top notch & the owner is hands on & brings such a personal aspect to the entire business, you’re sure to feel right at home in this high class establishment!!! Will always be on my to do list when traveling!!! ❤️

Jacquelyne Nelson: I'm new to the area and stumbled upon this place by chance. It's a cute spot that sells coffee, baked goods, and house made candies and chocolates. I tried a milk chocolate truffle, a blondie, and a chocolate covered marshmallow with caramel. The marshmallow was by far my favorite ( the make their own) and I can't wait to go back and try other treats.
Response: Thanks Jacquelyne! We're so glad you like the chocolate caramel cloud. It's one of our favorite candies as well.

Austin Graff: The Capital Candy Jar is one of the few businesses in Hill East. Located at 15th St and Constitution St NE, it's a welcomed addition to the neighborhood. They have been around for years but crafting locally made candies out of Union Kitchen in Ivy City. Fast forward to now, they have graduated from Union Kitchen and have made it as a company opening this permanent location where they make and sell their candies. The store is spacious with several corners of all of their candies from chocolate covered pretzel sticks to marshmallows. I recommend the milk chocolate covered Oreos. In addition to candies, they sell baked goods to satisfy any sweet tooth but they also have a few savory pastries like mushroom, garlic, and cheese muffins. They also sell coffee from Zekes, a local roastery. They aren't any seats, but I think it's meant to be a come and go place.
Response: Thanks for stopping by. We're glad you're a fan of the chocolate covered Oreos. We love them too!

Chocolate Chocolate: what do users think?

Lou Costanza: The staff are super friendly. The store is very clean and even though it’s small, they have an amazing variety of classy chocolate. I really love the Washington Monument chocolates. They make unique and excellent gifts. Beautiful selection of Easter candy as well.
Response: Thank you so much for the lovely review, Lou! So happy you had a nice visit with us and hope to see you, again, soon! Warmly, the entire CC Team. P.S. - thanks for adding the awesome photo!!!

Sachiko Ueno: The Chocolate Chocolate is the oasis in the middle of DC. Every time we go there, we felt welcomed with the smiles and the hospitality of the owners. They have the varieties of the candies and chocolates and also they have seasonal items which usually are lovely! I ordered the chocolates a few times during the pandemic, and they delivered them so well. I am going to order more for my treats!
Response: Thanks so much for the 5 star review, Sachiko! It's always wonderful to see you & TJ at the shop! We hope you are well and safe during these trying times. And see you soon (hopefully!)!

Ravishankar Sivasubramaniam: Small chocolate store with excellent selection of classic European, eclectic and old fashioned chocolates.
Response: Thank you so much for your wonderful review, Ravishankar! We're a small local business and your kind words means the world to us!

Vanessa: I can't say enough good things about this shop and the wonderful owners! I've been going here for over 10 years and their chocolate and candy is amazing - especially the truffles - and an incredible selection. It's also a treat to chat with the owners!
Response: Thank you so much for the wonderful review, Vanessa! We love chatting with you and all our customers - you're part of the CC family! Hope to see you soon!

Judy Feigin: The selection is wonderful; the candy delicious; and the personnel delightful to deal with . We have given these chocolates as house gifts to friends both in D.C. and throughout the country. Everyone loves them.
Response: Thanks so much for your lovely review. Much appreciated, Judy!

ELM: I have been a Chocolate Chocolate customer and fan for decades and have recommended the store to many friends and acquaintances.Their chocolates can also be easily mail ordered. I send them to friends and family around the country. They have an incredible selection of chocolates, and also of other candy, including nut-free options! They truly seem to have "something for everyone." Their service is outstanding and friendly, and the store is immaculately clean. I simply can't say enough good things about Chocolate Chocolate! It's my favorite store in D.C...and maybe anywhere! :-)
Response: Thanks so much for the awesome review, ELM! So touched by your words. Thank you, again!!

Henry Banta: Entering Chocolate Chocolate is a great experience. It is on a lovely bit of Connecticut Avenue just across from the Mayflower. It is a small site of grace and elegance. It is run by two women who present class and charm to all customers whether they are buying a single piece or a large carton. The chocolate is beyond awesome. The wonderful taste will linger for the rest of the day. Its something one doesn't want to forget.
Response: Thanks for the beautiful review, Hank! We so enjoy your visits to the shop!

Carol Fox: I love this shop. The owners always have a kind, personal word when I make an order. The quality and variety of chocolate is excellent. My favorites are the buy by the pound choices. When we lived overseas, my husband would bring me something from this shop when he returned from a trip.
Response: Thank you so much for the wonderful review, Carol! So appreciate your kind words! Hope you are well and look forward to seeing you soon!

Brian Lewis: The best selection of gourmet chocolate in DC! The owners and staff are warm and friendly and treat their customers like family (one big happy family of chocolate lovers!). I placed an on-line order this morning knowing that my chocolate will arrive quickly and safely packed in ice!
Response: Thanks so much for your lovely review, Brian! Hope you are well and safe! Your chocolates will ship today! Hope to see you soon!

Tracy Pang: Beautiful space, excellent selection, and a phenomenal staff! I stopped in looking for a gift for some friends and experienced one of the best customer service experiences of my life. They have lots of nut free options and an array of products at every price point, in a wide array of flavors (Yuzu honey to chocolate covered Oreos). I could not recommend their products or the store more!!
Response: Hi Tracy! So touched by your review! It was a pleasure serving you today! Thank you for stopping by and making our day! Hope to see you again in the very near future!

The Chocolate House: what do users think?

Doug G: I love this little gem of a specialty chocolate shop. I visited just before Christmas and they had a full selection of truffles, holiday chocolate gifts, and an amazing array of bars. The staff really know their chocolates. They were helpful as always pointing out and describing options for 80%+ cocoa bars I was trying to find. And in selecting truffles for custom truffle boxes, including local chocolatiers! It is my go to place for special occasion gifts or treating myself to hard to find chocolates.
Response: Hi Doug, thanks for taking the time to leave this wonderful review and for your visit to our small shop! We truly enjoy helping people find their ideal chocolate - especially at the holidays. I hope you had a fun and delicious holiday! See you in the New Year!

Virginia Milius: I’ve been to right many chocolate shops and this one was just okay. They did have a decent selection. I always look to see if they have Icelandic chocolate bars and this place did. I took my time and selected a few items. I was surprised at my total but good chocolate is a little pricey. I enjoyed the curry coconut truffle and the lavender caramel chocolate. The other ones were kind of blah. The espresso bar was very tasty and the intense 95% dark with ginger was complex and truly unique. Loved it. Haven’t touched the pyramid yet but plan to next weekend. Staff member was friendly.
Response: Thanks for your review and for visiting, Virginia! I’m happy to hear that you found some chocolates you enjoyed. We hope to see you again soon and to help you find some more new favorites! -Marisol

Brian Hart: Fantastic chocolate shop with a wide selection of craft chocolate. I went in looking for chocolate made locally in the DC area. The worker quickly pointed me to exactly what I wanted. My wife loved the selection of bars I purchased for her!

Alek Cannan: Absolutely the best chocolates and truffles I’ve found in DC! Really an interesting variety of gourmet truffle flavors. This shop is great for gifts, or for a treat to yourself. We have signed up for their monthly subscription of one box of truffles per month. Very fun to try different kinds. The owners and staff are also very friendly. Highly recommended.
Response: Hi Alek, thanks for your kind review! We're glad that you enjoyed your truffle subscription. Hope to see you again soon in store:)

Todd Huntley: Anyone who enjoys gourmet, slave labor-free chocolate, knows that $2.50 per piece is actually on the inexpensive end. I travel from Philadelphia to visit this little shop at least twice a year. Highly recommend for it's friendly staff, variety and delicious handmade chocolates! Yum

Catharine Funk: We were looking for a place to kill some time while sigh seeing and waiting for our hockey game that evening and we ventured to the Chocolate house. First of all the lady working was very friendly and patient with us as we decided which truffles we wanted. I am familiar with products that are carried in this store as well because I carry them in the store I manage as well. Some of the truffles we got were raspberry, passion fruit, the coffee one, lemon, yuzu, and a few more. The raspberry was too tart for my boyfriend but I absolutely loved everyone that I ate. I highly recommend!

Hannah Seidel: Delicious chocolates and excellent vegan and dairy-free selection. Easy to work with for special events as well - we ordered a few hundred vegan truffles for our wedding and they were a huge hit!
Response: Hi Hannah, thanks for choosing your wedding chocolates from us! It's been a pleasure working with you. May the years ahead be filled with happiness and chocolates! :)

Viv C.: This cute little place is run by a sweet couple. Delicious chocolate. They even gave me a little ice pack after they learned that I would be under the sun for a while so that my chocolate wouldn’t melt. Will come back.

Shelby Burns: The Chocolate House is wonderful! I did a truffle making class and it was a great time. We learned a lot and the truffles were delicious. I highly recommend this class!
Response: Absolutely wonderful to hear you enjoyed our truffle making class, Shelby! We hope we get to see you in again soon to try our many bon bons and bars!

Christopher Woofter: Amazing chocolate choices from around the world make this shop very unique. The staff are super knowledgeable and take time with each customer. The merchandise is over priced or at least more costly than one would expect. Asking for a good dark chocolate bar without being too costly the sales associate offer us two bars at $10 and $12. These were modest sized. The one we bought was amazing but perhaps some more approachable wares might be worth adding. Great chocolate doesn’t have to be crazy expensive. The variety and shop set up was very clean and well organized.
Response: We're glad to hear you enjoyed our chocolate and had helpful service, Christopher! We hope to see you in again for another round of chocolate.

Chocolate Moose: what do users think?

Ann Morse: This eclectic shop never fails to inspire me for unique gifts. The staff go above and beyond to help. Thanks for the ideas today! Longtime customer, first time reviewer.

Neal Brenner: Awesome store with a wide variety of gifts, cards, chocolate and so much more. Cannot stop laughing while you are there as there are so many funny gifts. A must if you are in DC!

Avery Jones: Looking for a fun gift or hilarious card? Do you find New Yorker cartoons hilarious and political jokes always in season? This is the place! I always go there for the best cards for my friends and family (big selection), and they always have amazing little joke gifts, as well as creative and nice gift options for people that are hard to buy for.

Deb Kasunic: We've been shopping at the Chocolate Moose for almost 3 decades. Why are you closed? If it's because you're considered a "non-essential" business, then I need an explanation for Walmart and Target. We sincerely miss everything about this store, especially the hand-made fabulous chocolates!

Dianne Downs: If you like funny, quirky cards and cute unique gifts this is the place for you! The Chocolate Moose serves up deliciously sly humor along side some of the best Belgian chocolate you'll ever get your hands on outside of Belgium. Come in and enjoy shopping in the kind of store that's rare these days - a happiness store.

Arthur Zayden: I go here for my event planning needs, balloons, bulk candies and decorations. Great prices and the place is very organized, costumer service is amazing. Employees have a great product knowledge of all the items they carry. If I can give more than 4 I will give them a 10 star!!!

Brionne Griffin: This place is trying to do too much. While I'm sure there could possibly be a way to juggle a chocolate shop, a card section, a jewelry section, a travel section, and little trinkets all under one small roof in an elegant way, this place feels like a very fragmented experience. I feel like the only time I'd buy something here is if I was searching for a white elephant gift.

Sandy Carroll: Love this shop! It's been around for a long time and has everything you don't need. Quality fun stuff. Great for little gifts.

Melanie Kurimchak: I work nearby, so I've been to the Moose several times since I wrote my first, very clipped review. I do think this is still THE place to buy nick-nacks and silly greeting cards. If you need a white elephant gift, this is the place to come. However, I've been less than impressed with the attitude of the staff in my last couple visits. I went in and bought an Enviro-Sac bag a while back. The girl at the check out counter asked if I wanted a bag. I giggled, since the only thing I was buying was a bag. "Uh, no I don't want a bag for my bag..." She was not amused. Not sure how you can work in a place like this and not have a sense of humor, but apparently it's possible. On another trip, I asked about a particular Christmas tree ornament that was hanging on a display. I wanted to buy it and it was the last one in the store, so one of the employees went to the back to get the box for it. By the time she got back with the box, I had changed my mind and chosen a different ornament. How could I resist? This place will give anyone ADD. I apologized to her and said that I'd changed my mind and wanted to go with another one and she rolled her eyes as she all but slammed the ornament (in its box) back on to the display. Again, it's a fun place to come because of the product on the shelves, but don't expect stellar customer service (or even a smile) when you do.

Lara Ruth Ziobro: I love this store. It's perfect for finding politically incorrect or hysterical (depending on your leaning here) charged cards that are just about perfect and en pointe in the DC metro area. I love that you can get anything from Bush "dum gum" to make your own legwarmer kits at this store. This is one of my favorite places to hit for odds and ends to send to that person you want to know you're thinking of them for a special occasion but they seem to have everything under the sun they could possibly need. Chances are they won't need what you'll find, but they'll love it!

Henry's Sweet Retreat & Bakery: what do users think?

Katie Hallock: We have now come to visit this place quite a few times as they are the only place in the area that I know of that offers freshly scooped Graeter’s ice cream! I am a native of Cincinnati, Ohio and really miss having this on a weekly basis! LOL. We first discovered this place when we were eating in the area and simply looked around for some ice cream. I couldn’t believe it when I saw pictures posted of the Graeter’s logo and ice cream freshly scooped! I even called to confirm that I wasn’t dreaming! LOL. They also offer another local ice cream, but I have to say that as it isn’t as smooth and creamy or as flavorful. Just my opinion. My kids love this place because of the crazy candy selection they have here! So they usually end up passing up ice cream an order to pick out an extra sugary sweet. This place also offers baked goods, of which we’ve tried a few. Everything I’ve tried has been nice, but not as life-changing Lee awesome as the ice cream. Although my husband was quite a fan of their s’more‘s cookie! The service here has always been friendly and we will definitely go back!

Emily Scherer: I'm back a year later to update this review and let you know- Bethesda is luck to have Henry's! The candy is always fresh, which is a small detail compared to the amazing quality of all the homemade baked goodies they offer. This place is a treasure and has something for everyone!

Shannon Tchuimeni: I must say as much as I wanted to patronize this business, I didn't. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because it had an array of treats to choose from Unfortunately, I chose not to try anything main reason is the lack of food safety practices. I ordered a Large Lemonade while trying to decide which treats I would the home. I noticed the person assisting me, with her bare heads, flung her hair not once but twice. Without washing her hands she proceeds to grab the ice scoop to get ice out of the ice machine. I mention it to another staffer that I feel uncomfortable purchasing the Lemonade. The individual comes over and states that she's using a scoop. Seriously, you are choosing to argue with me (the customer) when you are dead wrong... Employees SHOULD wash their hands before handling food-contact utensils or surfaces whether it's ice or not. Hair should also be pulled away from face with a headband, ponytail holder, or hat. Hair can cause physical and biological contamination. Wanting to be a new customer, I'll pass.

Herb Biel: We've lived in Cininnati, Graeters' home for 25 years and moved here a year ago. We've given this place two tries and each time was a massive disappointment. Fudge sundaes with no fudge! High school kids who don't seem to care either; they shrug their shoulders and walk away. Bethesda residents are being cheated out of their ice cream shorts here!!!

Chris Kishel: Tons of variety and helpful staff. The Graeter's ice cream is expensive, but honestly some of the best you will ever eat. They have tons of chocolate and candy, but also acai bowls. The fruit they put on top isn't the freshest, so stick to the candy. I absolutely love the ice cream and they even have ice cream sandwiches. Do yourself a favor and get the smores ice cream!

Humnah Ibrahim: the ice cream sundae here was great! the service was fantastic and the employees were very kind! the environment was also very nice and my family enjoyed playing the board games in their loft area seating :)

Sandy Long: I ordered a cake and cake pops for a family birthday party. Both we’re delicious and beautiful! One week later and the leftover cake pops taste as fresh as day one. We especially loved the lemon flavored. Don’t pass this shop without getting one of their delectable treats. You won’t be disappointed. This family-owned business is one of Bethesda’s gems.

Quinn Cartheuser: A must stop for any Cincinnati area transplant. They scoop actual Graeter’s ice cream and have pints you can’t get at Whole Foods. It’s a taste of home and the Midwest. They also have delicious pastries, baked goods, homemade chocolates, classic sodas and so much candy. A DC area treasure.

Amanda Martin: Had my first cupcake here today! The cupcakes were not anything special - quite dry. Their buttercream frosting was not bad though! I walked in asking if they had 2 dozen cupcakes and treats that could be individually wrapped. I was told they had plenty of cupcakes made but it is a requirement to preorder and they could not accommodate. So, I ordered 8 cupcakes and bought 13 cookies as that is all they'd allow without calling ahead. I found another small, local bakery that could accommodate and was so grateful for my business!!
Response: Hi Amanda - thanks for your review. We definitely screwed up and I apologize. We should have absolutely sold you the cupcakes that we had. I'm sorry for the miscommunication on our end and hope you'll give us another try.

Fiona Nelson: Best salt water taffy I've ever had! Fresh and delicious. Great cookies, stores and chocolate. Highly recommend!

Neuhaus Belgian Chocolate Union Station: what do users think?

Dominic Giglio-Tos: Another great shopping experience was had here. The chocolates and wonderful, and the service was also excellent. The employees were happy to help us whenever we wanted anything and they were conversational. They also handled a particularly rude customer that was there with tact and patience. I can and will recommend getting your chocolates here!

Skye Smith: Absolutely wonderful experience! 10/10 would recommend.Service was next level, very informational, one on one attention to detail, and strictly customer based. Chocolate was excellent as well and made the perfect housewarming gift.

K Ak: It’s a SHAME that after years of coming into this store and buying their incredible product, I’ll have to say goodbye to them due to the WORST customer service I have EVER received. As I came back from traveling this morning (11.17.21), I walked into the store to get some chocolate. I was in the process of putting my mask on when the lady who works there YELLED at me and continued to do so as if I was some kind of criminal. I told her that I thought that the new mask mandate was already in place, but I was putting one on anyway (it was in my hands) when she continued to yell at me and shouted that I need to leave the store. If you hate your job-quit. This is not how you talk to people. I’ve never experienced such a rude behavior. I’ve seen the owners and the previous staff and they were incredible. However this lady just ruined the experience of it all. So be aware. In any case, there’s a different store next door where they know how to talk to the customers.

Annie S: This is real although outrageously priced chocolate from Belgium. I suggest paying special attention to promotions, never refusing to taste what is offered and come visit this shop at Easter and Christmas. The Easter chocolate eggs are the best thing ever.

Jaye Aster Broder: Neuhaus has great chocolate. The staff is friendly and the packaging is great for gifts. You should definitely try it at least once. Now that it’s in D.C, you don’t even have to travel to Belgium.
Response: Thank you! We pride ourselves in providing freshly imported Belgian Chocolate. Stop by and see us again soon. Have a sweet day!

Karla Ledesma: The best chocolate and the person who attend us was very kind and sweet. Thank you so much!

Steve Perry: This place has some of the Worlds best Chocolate! I would give them 5 stars but the location in Union Station just plain sucks! Hard to get there unless you are already going to the station! The chocolate covered cherries are to die for though! I bought some and they were so good that they didn’t even make it home! Luckily I bought more than one box! If you love chocolate and you don’t mind paying a little more you will love this place! If your on a tight budget, you may want to stick with the lesser stores! This one is top shelf!

Linda Bagby: I received the Lovely Mother trio gift box today from my son Tim and wife Susie. These candies are pieces of art! So pretty and very yummy! Absolutely love them!!! Thank you!

Megan Connell: The most amazing customer service I have ever encountered, and such great chocolate. The staff is polite, kind, and helpful. My most recent visit left me smiling the rest of my commute home because of how wonderfully they treated me and the excellent product I knew I received.
Response: Hi Meghan! Thanks for your kind words! Stop by and see us again!

Giovanna Pino: Located on the main floor of Union Station Train Station I was craving some chocolates. I always purchase their pre-packed boxes prior to leaving an airport in Europe but I'm always stuck with flavors I don't like eating. Anyways took a drive out there and was greated by a lovely staff member and manager of the store. They were very patient and let us taste test the chocolates to prior. I was almost a little shocked at how many pieces we were allowed to taste but that's probably why I left with a 16 count box of chocolate and a bar of dark chocolate with Sicilian orange peel. Anyways I wanted to focus mostly on their service - was really refreshing and welcoming and obviously their chocolates are amazing!
Response: Thank you so much for your kind words. We really appreciate you taking the time out to share your experience with us. Have a sweet day!

IT'SUGAR National Harbor: what do users think?

Kisha Smith: My nephew went grocery shopping for candy 🤣 It really has a nice variety of candy. Make sure you weigh everything the cost will add up quickly!

Kimberly Apple: I am not a sugar person but I fell in love with sugar it reminds me of being a little girl walking into a very authentic sugar shack candy everywhere and they have accessories and a nice cool staff and even if you don't eat sugar it's just a beautiful fluffy cloud of childhood memories

Shelia Colvin: Sweet! Gloves, tongs, and scoopers are available to get your candy! The containers are visible n clean! Variety is a great sugar choice! One may weigh your puchase! IT'SUGAR has the sugar rush going on!

Alex Barajas: The family and I love this place. There is such a huge selection of stuff it's crazy. The staff are always very nice and helpful. There is candy from other countries as well. This is a must to go to.

Nils Hünerfürst: What a place to buy candies.

Jacob Sosa: Great selection. My daughteers love this place. Many to choose from.

Christopher Estorninos: Love going here since it carries candies that have be discontinued, for example, the Lime flavor of Skittles, they have a bag totally dedicated for the well missed Lime flavor that was replaced with Green Apple. The staff at this location are friendly, helpful, and very insightful when getting a great present, like buying an enormous Gummy Bear for a child is not a good idea, but maybe for a "man child", sure. There are more than just candy at this store, it has an assortment figurines, trinkets, collectibles, and many other candy themed accessories and apparel.

Chris Garra: Lots of cool, unique items you can't get in most stores. However, prices are ridiculously high.

Michele Stoute: Candy in abundance Yes indeed solve that sweet tooth craving here 😃😀

deborah: I didn't buy anything. I was looking for rock candy. They had it on a stick and it wasn't much for the price

Savannah Candy Kitchen: what do users think?

Philippe Jacques Kradolfer: Savannah Candy Kitchen at the National Harbor has enough candy variety to satisfy any sweet cravings! Hard to know where to look, as there is something special in every corner of the store and on top a model train around the store close to the ceiling. Pretty much everything is of good quality, specially the pralines and the candy apples made in house. The display of candies at the entrance wall is fascinating to look at and the candy is sold by weight or in boxes ready to take home. Ice cream are pretty good, although not like Italian ice cream. Definitely a place to visit while at the National Harbor to satisfy any craving for a sweet treat! Nice place with good service, although service could improve by some of the employees.

Kimberly Carbajo: The place to go satisfy your sweet cravings while visiting the National Harbor. The shop looks like it belongs on a movie set with walls and barrels full of candies and a train chugging along the ceiling. The real star however are the pralines and candy apples made in house. I've never really had pralines before so these were fun to try and delicious -the pralines are roasted pecans held together by caramel and then a chewy fudge on top. They sell individually by weight or in box to take home/gift. Ice cream and drinks are also available here. Do yourself a favor and visit this charming little shop!!

Da-Wang Wu: It’s a very nice and cute candy store! They have many different options of candies, and they also have some homemade candies / chocolate. We bought some to try, and most of them might be a big too sweet for me (i.e. the sweetness overpowered the flavors) although my friends seemed to enjoy it.

PHJ TEXAN: Area clean, very inviting. Ordered two items 1) carmel pecan apple: apple not fresh (as you can see), carmel was very soft/creamy but hardly no carmel taste and pecans was ok 2) box of pecan, sorted flavor, price take $7.50 when scanned $14.50. showed her the $7.50 tag and she said someone priced it wrong, told her well its that price she had bad additute told her forget it, not worth that price nor the price of you addititue, all them items on shelves shows that that price. Service was bad, apple not all that.

Sussan Annais H. Cartaya: It is a fabulous sweet shop, the decoration is very nice; great variety of sweets, gummies, candies, chocolates, ice cream and more; a little expensive, the pound of candy at $ 15 but very nice!

Karen D.: The personnel there is very pleasant and nice, the place is always in immaculate state. The options are endless and everything tastes so delicious ✨.

Alexis Richardson: Love the chocolate covered apples!! They are huge & good. I cant eat it all at one time however it doesn't go bad fast it last a about 4/5 days once you cut it. If you have a really cold fridge they last longer. The ice cream is good but kinda pricey! Its a really great place for a sweet tooth. All types of candy & chocolate to choose from.

Cindy Reaser: The store is in a great location. The peanut butter cup was very good. The caramel chocolate apple was mediocre. The prices are rather high for what you get. There is no clear direction on where to get in line or how to get items behind the counter. The workers were neither friendly nor helpful. I would not return to this location.

Andres Mendoza: It looks really nice and promising and had alot of foot traffic so I figured it would be good. Way too over priced and candy made in house was not that good. I spent $18 on 3 milk chocolate gophers (basically equivalent of 3 smaller chocolate bars) and 2 rasberry blue sour "orange" slices. Even when you consider rent and labor that should have been about $10 max since made in house. I do not recommend. Also the fact that it was mediocre at best didnt help. Again the interior layout is cool and place is very clean and bright.

Orlando G.: While visiting National Harbor for the first time, and having already eaten dinner elsewhere, I wanted ice cream. I had banana nut. Delicious! A friend got a very large peanut butter cup. Lively place. Great experience
Response: Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your experience!

    Velatis: what do users think?

Donald Winslow: I have been going there fof over 50 years. The quality hasn't changed. The prices have but it's worth every penny. The employees are so friendly there that you don't want to leave. I really LOVE this place. Best candies in the world!!

Valerie Hawthorne: Met a head case Karen today, 12/3/24 at Velatis around noon. Tall woman, dyed blonde longish hair in a rather 1960’s style. I was a considerate customer doing absolutely nothing but ordering my candy. And her aggressiveness was unreal. I’ve been there at least a dozen times in the past years and the candy is wonderful and the staff so nice. But this woman definitely takes her personal issues out on her customers. Especially black customers - watch out for this woman.

Bert moreno: I've been going to this establishment for quite some time. And Miss Amy is by far the most amazing person to speak with over there and has an excellent eye for making chocolate desserts as well as artistic desserts. the chocolate shoe that she had was absolutely perfect for my wife's Valentine's Day. everyone should at least stop in to get chocolate truffles or a chocolate dessert with them because it is worth the visit.

S King: Velatis is the home of my favorite candy!! Vanilla sugar caramels (some people call them English caramels) with cashews. I have been going to Velatis for more than 40 years and enjoy the sugar and chewy caramels, vanilla or chocolate, with and without nuts. Their sweet selection includes chewy caramels with marshmallow. Velatis also has delicious chocolates and special confections for most holidays.

Vincent Guerrieri: This is a top quality candy store that treats you as it would have at its founding 150+ years ago. The chocolate delights are made fresh, in the store, and packed fresh to your order. Today I bought my wife's favorite and they even added a decorative bow to the shrink wrap sealed box of chocolates.

Maureen Moss-Lubell: My (native Washingtonian) family frequently bought, happily devoured, and gifted Velatis Caramels from the mid-1950s onward (but that's as far back as my own memories stretch!), and probably well before that, as my Grandma Geiger & my Aunt Cora Geiger (RIP), born before the turn of the century, were huge fans, and introduced little ME to it! Velatis Caramels were our family's very favorite candy, growing up -- and my father also shipped many boxes from their downtown store to all of his family members in Minneapolis, MN, as holiday gifts, as well. I am delighted to find that Velatis is still in business, as I have been unable to locate them in recent years, and thought they might have closed their doors for good. I will definitely be placing an order (or several!) VERY SOON... I've got your number now! Sadly, it's too late on the East Coast right now -- my hubby & I live in the Pacific Northwest these days. Regards from "Greater Portlandia," Maureen Gearty Moss-Lubell

Kelly G: Delicious caramels! Just bought a small pack to try, and my husband and I have eaten almost all of them. Soo yummy! The chocolate they offer also looked good. Try this place, and support a nice small business.

Minh “Max” Diep: Absolutely love this place. Awesome staff and quality caramels/ chocolates. Would highly recommend! Amy is awesome!

Natalie Gerdovich: Great authentic candy store located in heart of Silver Spring. I really enjoyed the nice assortment of the candy as well as the different options. Very friendly staff and service as well. Price was reasonable considering the type of merchandise offer. I would definitely go back.

June RelphNixon: My husband began purchasing candy at this store for me a year ago. My husband would visit Union Station to purchase me Godiva Chocolates and Neuhaus Chocolates. After, I tried the caramel and chocolate treats her, I was immediately addicted. Excellent candy and pricing.

Artisan Confections: what do users think?

Gia Pham: these chocolates are amazingly delicious!! i love it. a lot of different variety of chocolate flavors. the customers services there are great also. everyone is super sweet and very friendly and super helpful too! i definitely will come back soon if I want to more chocolate. 100% recommend

Bridget: I received a box of chocolates as a birthday gift and was amazed! Not only are the chocolates beautiful, but they taste great too. I'm allergic to nuts and don't normally eat these types of chocolates out of fear of cross contamination; Artisan Confections did a great job of making sure each chocolate was nut free. I can't wait to visit in person and order more. The Tahitian Vanilla Bean, Cinnamon Apple Caramel, and Lavender were a few of my favorites. Highly recommend!

Mia Smith: I haven’t tried their chocolate yet. I got this box as a present for a friend. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They make their chocolate right there in their little factory behind the store. If you’re looking for gifts, I highly recommend Artisan Confections.

Michael Drillings: Their chocolates are magnificent. My wife and I eat them slowly because each bite should be savored. I have eaten a lot of chocolate in my life, including in Europe, and this is by far the best I have ever had. Enjoy!!

Vivian Hwa: Been getting their chocolates for years. Did a class once, it was a blast. Caramels are awesome... Well everything is awesome really. Worth every penny. Some of the best chocolate in the world and I have eaten a lot of fancy expensive chocolate from many countries that aren't as good.

Marnie Schaar: I bought 20 boxes for my clients on Valentine’s Day and they were a hit! Beautifully made chocolates and very delicious. I highly recommend Artisan Confections.

rustyhues: This place has the best, most satisfying chocolates I've had in a really long time. Their flavor profiles are top notch...salty caramels and realistic fruits and herbs (Fresh Mint is so uplifting, liquor caramels are sublime). They're small, but not micro. These chocolates are all you need when you have a craving...without adding all the extra calorie-heavy stuff. Plus, they're so pretty :)

Pawel Garczynski: So happy we gave Artisan Confections are try. Shipping was super quick, the chocolates were beautifully packaged, it was the perfect gift! Will be using for more gifts in the future :)

david oremland: The chocolates from Artisan Confections are among the most appreciated gifts one could give. Good reason for that. The chocolates are extraordinary. As a gift they come gift boxed and wrapped in a beautiful setting. But my advise is eat them first before giving them as a gift. They are that good.

Sam Russell: definitely in my top 2 for chocolatiers in the NOVA/DC area. They use vahlrhonna chocolate as the base for their truffles- which is my favorite. They always have a good selection of flavors that has both variety and appeal, plus they have seasonal flavors so I always feel like I have more to look forward the next time I get some. I hands down recommend their caramels (not in the truffle case) and their Tahitian vanilla truffle. Delicious!

Chesapeake Chocolates: what do users think?

Dennis Wijers: If you want to support a local Northern Virginia shop, look no further. It was great to taste locally made sweets and stray from the regular chocolate brands we see everyday. The variety of treats are delightful and they don't skimp on stuffing the truffles with tasty fillings. For the finer audience, they also have a wide selection of local wines along with tastings throughout the month.
    Response: Thank you, Dennis!

Peter Clarkson: Stale Chocolates. The quality has dropped from what used to be nice fresh chocolates. 2 days after Mother's Day, when they should been fresh, we bought a box. When opened, there was no lustre just a dull finish on the outside. The coating was dry and stale as was the center ganache. Taste was thin, not rich as before. It is a pity they their namesake product has deteriorated so much. (PS: did not bother driving back to get an exchange.)

Danielle W: Great selection of local Virginia wine which is specially delivered to their shop. Also very good chocolates especially the Carmel ones. Handmade soaps are good as well. They also sell blue crab ceramics and some lake/water themed house decor.
Response: Thank you Danielle! Saturday is "Open a Bottle of Virginia Wine Day", so stop by if you need one to open and enjoy.

D Carl: it's not a happy place, especially for being a chocolate shop. I've been to the store several times , and on all but one occasion, there has been a lot of verbal and written lecturing about what you can and cannot do in the store. This is not limited to masks. if you go in, note the signs as well as the behaviors. You are being talked down to. Not pleasant. I will only go there now as a last resort to mail packages if I cannot get to the post office.

Sam Russell: Enjoyed the store with a variety of local VA items, but mainly went there for the chocolate and was disappointed. It was great that the saleswoman knew about the chocolates and could share details with us and the price is quite good for handmade chocolates (we got 5 pieces in a bag for $5.02- so just about $1 per piece), but it shows in the taste- which for me is the main component :( The barks are better than their truffles, but neither are special (hate to say that as I love supporting local chocolatiers). I travel the world enjoying artisan/craft chocolates and truffles, so my tastes are possibly a bit different than yours. As such don't let me steer you away from getting a few pieces as they're not expensive, but there are much better chocolates in the area from other local chocolatiers.

Lane Boyd: The chocolate and wine selection is really great! I've enjoyed everything that I've tasted from this spot. They relegate the chocolate mostly to one side of the store, and I wish it were more spread about. The cashier was marginally unpleasant and made me a little uncomfortable. Maybe a bad day? I'm going to give her the benefit of the doubt because it was quite busy and social distancing was hard.

Charlotte Geary: My kids and I love Chesapeake Chocolates! Doris and the rest of the staff are so kind and welcoming to us. The chocolate is delicious, and they always have adorable, seasonal chocolates for every occasion. The shop is a great place to buy gifts, too, with an excellent selection of Virginia wines and handmade crafts.

Ruth Sievers: Hand made chocolates made in small batches are the main draw here, but the store also sells jewelry, scarves, cards, wine and other gift items. Lovely little place. And the chocolate is delicious. I almost forgot: there is a Post Office inside the store.

Linda S (LindaS): Excellent chocolates. Also love the spiced grape wine served warm. The entrance to Chesapeake Chocolates is on the lake side of the plaza. Got a lot of my Christmas shopping done there in a matter of minutes.

    T. Parker Gallagher: Fantastic chocolates, locally owned, friendly and does custom orders, quickly. I am a 5year, 4-6 times per year, repeat customer. Doris is top notch!
    Response: Thanks so much!

Southwest Soda Pop Shop: what do users think?

Kristy Kairos: Mango ice cream was incredibly good. Lemonade drink to die for. Proud to say it’s black business owned. Great for your sweet tooth needs. Will be going back again.

Kris: Amazing shop! Staff is super friendly ! Not only is the ice cream options amazing the food options are good! Definitely recommend

Nick Webster: Southwest Soda Pop Shop is a cute outdoor ice cream and soda stand. Serving soft serve and scoop ice creams , floats, and sodas. A wonderful stop on the north end of the newly opened DC Wharf. Look closely for the shop since there is still a lot of construction. It is located on Maine Ave directly in front of the Seafood Market. There is ample bench seating under a shaded awning. It will be even nicer to visit once the construction is completed.

Shenita Y White: Best soft serve ice cream ever! It is so smooth and creamy with just the right amount of sweetness and vanilla! I had vanilla in a medium cup (but wish I gotten the large). There’s always tomorrow! Sorry about the photo, it was basically gone by the time I thought to take a picture.

Dondré: This is a great outdoor quick ice cream shop. The staff is cool and the smoothie I ordered was good. They offer all kinds of ice cream, banana splits, milk shakes, smoothies and more. They have ice cream sandwhiches made of real cookies and your choice of ice-cream flavor.

Udim Isang: Have to support black businesses!! I would say the customer crevice could've been a little better and I did not like waiting for an hour in the heat, but when I got to the front and recieved my ice cream, I was a happy camper. Ill just come back in the fall/winter when they ones are a little shorter lol

Ryan Connor: Cashier was rude. "I don't see why everyone thinks I need to take their credit cards..." because customers can't see the card slot in the sun glare? Get a better attitude cashier!

Roniqua Jeffries: So good! A must stop ice cream shop at the wharf on the fresh seafood side. Pictured is the cherry blossom ice cream sandwich on sugar cookies. Ask about their secret menu. This is a walk up shop with no indoor seating. There are some pub tables outside. On my last visit they were selling hotdogs and half smokes as well as ice cream.

Margie Nguyen: Waited in line for about 20 minutes around 2:00 on a Saturday. Very nice people and great treats! Can’t wait to come back and try other flavors! Wanted to come out to support a local black owned family business!

Raiana Berman: Heard some great reviews and always ready to support a B.O.B., I decided to try it out for myself a few weeks ago. My friend got a chipwich and really enjoyed it. I ordered the cake explosion and immediately saw a hair baked into the brownie sitting right on top. The line to address this was over 30 min wait so I threw it out and took a loss. Customer service could be better and possibly more seating to accommodate all the customers in their long line.

Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams: what do users think?

Amanda (WhatsDaHype): I was pleasantly surprised when I found out Jeni’s was in walking distance after eating an early dinner in DC. The ice cream didn’t disappoint on the two visits to this location. Except for their non-dairy options and their version of cookies and cream. The non-dairy options are coconut base so the flavors advertised didn’t match the name. I tried banana pudding but it tasted like coconut ice cream. And the young lady serving me did give that disclaimer. Their cookies and cream version was not sweet at all. They use to offer samples but that’s on hold due to Covid. Their sugar cones aren’t as sweet as I prefer. They have a great crunch and a hint of salt.

Samuel M. Worthington IV: We’ve been big fans of all good ice cream and Jeni’s is certainly one of them. Almost all of their flavors are well thought out and made well ( some more than others) and the waffle cones are great. The only reason they get 4 stars is the scoops are ridiculously small, especially for the price that you’re paying. It seems that they’re getting smaller since we’ve been going here, too

Vikram Seshadri: Delicious flavors specifically the Brambleberry crisp. They didn't let us do a sample tasting due to COVID so couldn't try a few that I wanted to but nevertheless was not disappointed with the flavors I did order. Must visit if you are in the area and craving some creamy dessert

Erik V: Do you like delicious ice cream? If yes: YOU WONT BE DISSAPOINTED BY JENI!!!! Jeni's offers cassic flavors by the scoop or the pint! Their waffle cones are epic! With flavors that encorporate chocolate, Berry, chocolate, butter, and herbs like lavender, you're certain to break down the door to get your scoop. Vegan options available. Sorbet. Dairy. P.S. Send a friend/family member Jeni's ivlce Cream as a gift. Jeni's ships nationwide--I semt mine to rural Arkansas--and their cusyomer service is excellent (Thank you Brandi M.)

Muniba Khan: I got a single-sized waffle bowl with the salted peanut with chocolate flecks and the everything bagel seasonal flavors. Everything bagel ice cream has no business being so delicious. I really appreciate that they have some good salty flavors.

anu yadav: Sad they were out of the pints of caramel pecan sticky bun dairy free ice cream. It is decadent. I went in. This Jeni’s has a line around the building on Saturday nights. Like a club. I think I understand why.

Anna Baker: It was decent. I had one scoop of lavender ice cream and one scoop of strawberry and cream ice cream in a waffle cone. The waffle cone was not flavorful and was very soft/almost crumbled apart. The ice cream flavors were nice but NOT good enough to justify their high price point. I’ve had much better ice cream from both mom and pop shops, as well as higher end ice cream parlors, for much less. I’m glad I gave it a try as it is always so crowded, but I definitely will not be going back.

Autumn Boyd: We got the ice cream sampler. Best ice cream I’ve ever tasted! Flavors were all so vibrant and unique.

Amber Worthington: Best ice cream I’ve ever had. The sweet biscuits & peach jam was phenomenal & their waffle cone take it over the finish line 🏆

R Lin: Respect to Jeni’s- they really do have splendid ice cream! I’d heard of this places a few times before so it was nice to finally try it. I love that their flavor combinations are pretty nontraditional from what you see at your run of the mill ice cream shop. And they back it up with the product actually being really yummy! My specific visit to this location was a tiny bit disappointing as I asked for several different flavors that they were out of or couldn’t serve for some reason. It was quite odd. But the workers were very nice, and along with the good ice cream I did eventually get it really mostly made up for it. Who doesn’t always want some delicious ice cream at any time of day, week or circumstance?? (if your answer is anything except “um yes always!” please keep scrolling and don’t talk to me lol)

    Haagen-Dazs: what do users think?

Ashton Foldenauer: Mediocre fruit smoothie but very good ice cream. Ridiculous prices. Around 10 dollars for the small smoothie but whatever. Nothing else to say.

Patrick Cassino: Overpriced for mediocre iced cream. Miniscule portions where they give you the next size up or add toppings without your request for them so they can upcharge you. Avoid at all costs, and simply buy a pint of hagen daaz from a grocery store nearby.

saahib aalim zafir: I am glad this ice cream shop has survived the pandemic. I went there before going to the movie. The ice cream flavors are amazing and I pray for the survival of this amazing lounging place.

Melanie Smith: The most expensive milkshake in Chinatown! We paid $21+ for two milkshakes. They were delicious but not worth $21. You can walk a couple of blocks to Five Guys and buy a milkshake for $6.95. Or you can walk a bit further to Dolcezza for locally made gelato for $5.90 for a cup with two flavors. I’ll give HD positive stars for great customer service and you can order online and pick up. Plus the quality of the ice cream is what you expect from HD.

Dashawna Ivy: Very pricey. They made my ice cream cones sloppy and you have to ask for napkins instead of having a area for that.

Zachary Reshovsky: Wonderful experience - I've eaten here on multiple occasions. Portions are great and prices are reasonable given the quality of the product.

Kaleb Head: Probably some of the best ice cream I've ever had.

Leila Bournes: He hands me the cup and it had a hair on the spoon he stuck in it. After pointing out the hair. I said i was okay n didnt want it anymore. He asked if he could replace it with something else. I said a kids cup of just vanilla. Which he was about to charge me for. Hence the review. We declined the ice cream completely. Whats worse is he looked confused. No thanks.

Janice L: I ordered a small mint chip in a cup and there were hard ice pieces in there that I couldn't eat...and the ice cream wasn't even stiff, it was like soft serve texture.

Mattie Quigley: I paid $17 for two cones. When we checked out the three workers snickered at us.

Ice Cream Jubilee: what do users think?

Vikram Seshadri: Interesting flavors I have never had before. Some of the flavors I tried were too strong for an ice-cream (Smoked ones..). Definitely had some interesting flavors that you gotta try.

chandrima deuri: Loved this place that I accidently discovered on our visit. I tried two of the flavors from their special cherry blossom festival menu and loved them both. The smoked vanilla cherry sakura had a strong smoked flavor which was a unique experience for me since I have never tasted smoked flavor ice cream before. The orange blossom tea cake

Nik Rama: WOW. Incredible ice cream flavors all around. They had so many wild flavors that all sounded delicious! We were able to sample a few and then order a giant 2-scoop cup at a very reasonable price. I got the passionfruit and guava sorbet as well as the cookies & cookie dough ice cream. The passionfruit and guava sorbet was incredible. Tart, sweet, fruity, and silky smooth as a sorbet. It was incredible, and those two fruits pair really well! It was so refreshing on a hot day. The cookies & cookie dough was surprisingly better than I thought it would be. I expected a decent and familiar ice cream, but this was another level. The pieces of Oreo’s were big and chunk and a little soft to allow for a more pleasant and homogeneous bite. The cookie dough was also chunk and such a high quality cookie dough. Overall this is an incredible ice cream spot if you’re looking for a non-chain location that serves high quality and unique ice cream.

pradyuman mehta: I absolutely love their ice-cream but every single time I have gone the lady who serves the ice-cream has the WORST attitude. The only thing that keeps me going back is the mango and marshmallow ice cream. They should realize that if they keep treating customers like this, they will lose all of them. This particular lady is even rude to their own staff. Jeni’s ice cream which is walking distance from here has great ice-cream and AMAZING SERVICE. No wonder they have a bigger wait and are more popular…

Bobbi DeAnda: The cookies and cookie dough is so good! Gotten it twice now and it's so tasty! Great service.

A: Best ice cream in DC hands down!! The banana bourbon caramel flavor is to die for!! I buy the pint sometimes. Always delicious 👍

Adam Kapp: The best ice cream in DC! (So much better than Jeni's.) Love the unique flavors and supporting a local business.

Michael Ciurea: The Thai tea ice cream flavor is on my top three best ice cream flavors ever. It legit tastes like a good cup of Thai tea. They also have great seasonal and occasional flavors that you should check out. This place has won many local and regional awards for their ice cream, and they’re all well earned. Great service and wonderful ice cream.

Danny Kim: Ice Cream Jubilee is a nice small ice cream shop with plenty of delicious flavors to choose! I went with the chocolate waffle cone with 3 flavors of ice cream, Thai Iced Tea, Marionberry, and Honey Lemon Lavender. The good: Each ice cream flavor was exceptionally delicious! The taste was sweet and the flavor was strong so you can actually taste the flavor ordered! My favorite is probably the Thai Iced Tea, so I will be happy to return to order more of this! Overall, definitely will be making a return trip! Love the flavors, and want to try them all.

Madeline Guth: I'm a huge ice cream lover and Ice Cream Jubilee is one of my favorites! Really creative and delicious flavors. The staff is always super friendly too. Love it here!!
Response: Thanks so much! We really appreciate your love for our staff, too!

Presidential Scoops: what do users think?

Candace M.: Great ice cream. I just wish they had more flavors. But ok prices and good flavor.

Kaitlyn Pehrson: Fun concept, solid ice cream, DC-high prices. The waffle cone was average but the ice cream was good and they give generous servings. There were plenty of chunks in the ice cream too (I got cookie dough and moose tracks). It's a tiny storefront with no seating, but they do have standing counter space if you want to eat in the AC. I'd stop by again if I was in the area.

Kyle Getson: Great service. Good ice cream and milkshakes. No place to sit but standing tables outside that keep you out of the sun

David Mcpherson: Really good icecream. Well priced, small but nice store

Calib Hernandez: ICE SCREAMING ... its just ice cream the decor seems "presidential" but its just another icecream shop moose tracks is the flavor im holding

Aarti Bansal: I love the whimsical flavors and nod to the presidents - Marilyn Monroe's singing happy birthday to JFK and Moose Tracks to Teddy Roosevelt's passion for hunting. With over 20 flavors, it's quite a feat to choose! Although it's a bummer that the ice cream isn't locally sourced, it's from the national chain Bassetts. I'm glad I landed on the decadent Guatemalan Ripple based on Jefferson's love for coffee. Every lick was divine with a swirl of mocha fudge and a sea of chocolate truffles in a deep coffee base. The sweetness of the chocolate cut the bitterness of the rich coffee. True to its motto - Making American Sweet Again with every delicious lick! This hidden gem is tucked away from the bustling touristy crowds. Perfect way to cool off in the sweltering summer heat!

Jeff: New ice cream shop close to the White House. A bit overpriced but that's to be expected in DC. Not a huge variety of flavors but enough to find something you'd like.

Maurice Coggins: I got a flavor named after Trump. I didn't notice until I started eating it, but he works much better as a disposable snack.

Steven Garcia: Great ice cream, friendly service! Cute tumblers. Definitely would come here again.

Tracy Perry: Great ice cream. The service had NO personality but he was not rude. Just boring.

Paradise Candy: what do users think?

Michael Ross: Excellent chocolate, very nice people. Family owned and operated for over 100 years! Must try the frozen worlds, chocolate covered ice cream... an area favorite as long as I can remember!

Holly Gleason: The wonderful folks at Paradise Candy stayed a little bit late on Christmas Eve and helped me with a last minute gift I had forgotten while traveling. They were very kind, and the chocolate is delicious!! I love supporting businesses like this one!!

Machine Gun: Best candy around. Puts sarris to shame. Very pleasant ladies and delicious chocolate!

Sherry Coleman: My cousin sent me the salted caramels. They were so delicious My daughter also enjoyed them. TThey were some of the best candy I have ever eaten. My mother used to buy our Easter candy there when I was small.

Linda Woods: Love this house of Chocolate! It's always welcoming and they treat you like family. They still make it right there! Love there chocolate peanut butter balls!!!

Fred Rasel: Awesome creamy milk chocolate, everything chocolate covered from here is great. Raisins, pecans, cashews, caramel, and on, and on. Always totally satisfied with this place.

Dave Tanner: HAD TO GO PICK UP A DONATION FOR THE CANCER SOCIETY

Maria Murphy: Chocolate tasted like dish detergent. Bummer.

Pat Lascano: Variety of chocolates. Also has my favorite all year round chocolate covered marshmallows. I never go past here without stopping.

Kelly Dadisman: Chocolate is amazing and super friendly service!!

Cyprowski Candy Company and Blossoms and Blooms Floral Shoppe: what do users think?

Lo Hung: I went there and it was pretty picked over. Not a bad thing it was almost closing and 2 days before valentines day so it's more of a selling point then a negative. The chocolate covered apples sizes range from.. yep that's an apple and u sure that's not a grape fruit? From what I saw the have homemade apples, pretzels and specialty pretzels, chocolate covered strawberries and cherries (the ones with the liquid inside as well as the berry) and a bunch of other stuff... The apples tbh look impressive

AC Grateful: Absolutely love their dark chocolate covered espresso beans, had not been able to locate the beans anywhere in a while! Theirs are AWESOME! They have a party room too, how cool.

Richard J. Vargo: Rating: 4.5 Stars Santa brought me a Cyprowski Candy Company Pecan Gourmet Pretzel. Smart Santa! This pretzel was very good. The caramel, pecan, and chocolate complemented eat other perfectly, and no one component was overwhelming. The pretzel the perfect sweetness, and it was the ideal size. I really enjoyed it! My only complaint is that Santa only brought one! I'd love to try the other flavors!

Nicholas Bostaph: I'm not much of a chocolate person, but my fiancee is, and Cyprowski's has become a regular stop for me. Once she had their chocolate, every other manufacturer from Sarris to Hershey's seemed a pale imitation of the real thing, and we drive miles out of our way for it. But it's well worth the trip and the cost. :) The staff is always friendly and helpful and accommodating. They never hesitate to ask what you're looking for and suggest products, even checking in the back if nothing up front suits you. When I stopped in the other day they told me they don't make what it is I wanted. But then offered to do it as a custom order and have it ready the following day. Despite their cautions that they didn't have the proper mold and it may be a little rough, it came out perfect! And, of course, especially now, I love the idea of supporting a small, local, family owned business. Cyprowski's has earned our business for years to come.

Holly Beton: I order chocolate covered pretzel rods & chocolate covered oreos every year for a Halloween party & they are a huge hit! I have them put orange & black sprinkles on them & individually wrap them. I look forward to having them every year. I want to try their chocolate covered strawberries because they are my Favorite but I'm not sure if I can order them because they are closed during the summer months although the website leads me to believe I can special order them, so I may place an order soon. Great gift to take to parties, the chocolate is Awesome & Much less expensive than other Major brands in our area.

Jody Quinlan: Great little shop. Really good chocolate. The best chocolate covered apples and strawberries. The strawberries were huge and sweet. Nice selection of candies. Would definitely recommend.

Sadie Presto: I was in charge of running Trinity High School's prom and was looking around for nice gifts for the chaperones. So I called Country Confections, and spoke to both Barb and Natalie, who were both extremely friendly and helpful. If you want reliable, friendly, and high quality service, I highly recommend Country Confections! :)

robert thistlethwaite: The customer service at this place is top notch. The product is just as great! Will be a life long customer because of the service they provided.

Patty Goda: Staff very friendly & helpful. Candy apples look delicious!!
    Response: Thank you Patty!

Pam Durant: Awesome apples love the chocolate and pretzel ones
Response: Thank you Pam. Sweet and Salty is always the right way to go!
