Spot of Tea - 14th St: what do users think?

Mike Stumpo: Tasty tea! It was awesome to discover this spot inside of Streets Market. I loved the Taro Latte and Blue Jasmine (the tea really is blue). Can’t wait to try the Thai Blossom next time.

Jenn C: Came here a couple times while visiting DC. Grocery shopping AND boba too? Amazing. The staff are all so nice and helpful. I liked that I could customize the sweetness and light sweetness actually is light. Taro flavor is bomb, the draft tea latte was my fav!! So good I want another one now.

Morgan Hah: Not to be dramatic but I do think that Spot of Tea is competing at the highest tier of maslow’s hierarchy of boba!? By that, I mean one need not worry about any of the blocking and tackling because it’s all there - sustainable packaging, freshly brewed ingredients, adjustable sweetness levels, super chewy boba. But even past that, every drink on the menu is super inventive, a little bit whimsical, and refreshing to the last sip. I also adore this tea shop’s mission, which is focused on building local community and taking care of their employees 😌. Most recently, I got the blood orange creamsicle, which I was expecting to be pretty good in a flintstones push popsicle kind of way and kind of blew me away because it hit that nostalgia factor, but also was a lil more tart than one may expect. I think the extra zing made it super balanced. My non seasonal rotation includes the butterfly jasmine tea (pictured below) which is great on its own, also great w milk.🦋 Don’t sleep on spot of tea!

Lindsay Brubaker: I was really wanting to try this place cause the drinks looked so pretty, but as it was out of my way, I hadn’t been until today! Got the blue jasmine with oat milk (at no extra cost!!) and it was delicious. I was also really impressed with the eco straws AND the reusable cup options - if you buy one and bring it back to reuse, you get 10% off. Love to see this!! 👏👏👏also looking on the website, the cups are compostable!!

Courtney Magill: Lavender Earl Grey with boba is just chefs kiss! So refreshing and nice, chewy boba. Everyone who works there is so nice too - highly recommend!

Lindsey Stiles: Located just inside the Streets market (convenient to order and then shop around) We got the Candy Cane Matcha Boba and it was delicious! Also they had the nicest barista working there today - all around great experience 🤗

Tamanna joshi: If you love boba and shopping, this is your place! This neighborhood is lovely and vibrant. Boba service is great! I had tried their red valvet one loved it !

Jessica W: Tea quality and the service are excellent!! The staff is so friendly! I can customize my drink the way I want! I love the matcha flavor. The trip to the tea shop is the best part of my day.

BeauTea: what do users think?

woop doop: I ordered the brown sugar milk tea and it was good, nothing special really, but decent compared to other milk tea that I’ve tried in DC. The M size is pretty big already. I also loved the popcorn chicken, but I’m not too sure why there’s also breaded diced ginger, funny prank if you ask me. My number nor name wasn’t called either, so it was a bit of a guessing game. Overall, it was good.

Michael Radz: Initially this was my go to spot for bubble tea, however I sense that they are off their game. Either the straw is a bit small or the boba is too big. They were a touch chewy. The tea itself was a bit watered down. It was missing a flavor kick

Rafael Miguel Arevalo Pacheco: Nice selection of teas. With a side of vodka 😬 staff is friendly, they have a good playlist! #adele

Charlotte Rhea: so good! delicious brown tea boba!! it has a really cool vibe but finding it with google map directions was pretty tricky. the outside of the building looks pretty different then the inside just fyi. i definitely recommend it!!!

cuca: I honestly thought this place was great. Both people at the counter were very nice and answered my questions. I ended up getting brown sugar milk tea, and it came out very promptly. It was really tasty! The boba was so fresh and it was still piping hot at the bottom of my cup, straight out of the pot it was cooked in 😁 The 5 dollar price tag originally surprised me and I wasn’t sure if it was worth it, but the cups are huge, so for the amount of tea you get, it’s worth the price. Will return again sometime!

Ayman Mobin: Great bubble tea spot! Bubble tea was given in durable container which made it easier to carry around. The location itself was a bit hard to find with it being a small location but the bubble tea itself was delicious.

Kira: I’ve visited a few times, their boba tea is just okay. The last time I visited I had the blue coconut and it was awful, it didn’t taste like it was sweetened at all. I came today because I saw their sign for a happy hour “beer boba” and I was going to order food to-go. The young woman at the cash register (blonde, petite) had an attitude and didn’t wear a mask. She and her coworker didn’t know what I was talking about and even when she came outside to look at their sign she said she didn’t know what it is. I ended up not buying anything- after dealing with her attitude and not knowing about what they’re advertising I was too frustrated. The employees should at least be told about new menu items. I recommend Gong Cha down the street, their drinks are more flavorful and reasonably priced.

Cozy Bubble Tea and Coffee: what do users think?

Matthew C: We ordered an iced latte and milk tea with bubbles 50% sugar. The milk tea was sickeningly sweet. Sweeter than drinking melted ice cream. Probably similar to drinking straight maple syrup from the bottle! No exaggeration. Had to throw it out after two sips. 100% sugar must be literally only sugar in the cup. The latte was just ice coffee. No actual latte machine or steamed milk foam. Two stars because the building itself was super cute and the employee was very friendly.

Linden Phillips: This place is awesome. It has great staff who remembered us when we came back the next time, and even remembered our order. Also, the restaurant right below (city sliders) was incredible and run by the same people. I love this place it is great. Check it out when you are close by you will not regret it.

Ali Hamdan: For anyone who has had actually good boba, this was a hue letdown. Tapioca was way overcooked so it was just falling apart. Oolong was super weak, barely any tea in it. Just milky frothy blegh.

alex hilton: I think this maybe the worst boba I’ve ever had. First off they made the green tea to bitter (which means they didn’t they didn’t put enough cold water to balance it out and burnt it) second they put brown sugar boba in my fruit drink!!!! What the actual f$&@k I took two sips and it went straight to the trash. Are they trying to play the people of Georgetown by not having honey boba! The manager seems as if he doest have a back bone to look at me in the eye. I see there also using kung fu tea old stuff how original😒. I knew this place was bad but not this bad Gordon Ramsey needs to come thru to straighten this place out .

Hadley Dean: It is amazing! Go here all the time! Love the tapioca bubbles and mango green tea! The customer service is amazing! Thank you so much!

Antonia Jara: It’s the cutest and literally coziest place in Georgetown. They have great boba and very kind and warm people who work there.

amina sultani: Very delicious Oolong Milk Tea and beautiful seating area inside. Highly recommend.

Lauren Cassidy: It was open but I waited 15 min and there was no proprietor. There was no "be back soon" sign or anything either. It was eerie.👻

Mabel Gudiel: Amazing customer service in a warm cozy atmosphere.

Gong Cha 14th St DC: what do users think?

Mohit Mehtaji: Great place for Bubble tea. It gets crowded as it shares the space with the Poke restaurant. The operation is pretty smooth as you can use the kiosk to order.

Kim Nguyen: We’re visiting DC for the weekend and stumbled upon this gong cha location. It was a nice surprise. Ordered our usual order (triple jelly earl grey milk tea). This made our trip extra special because we haven’t had Gong Cha for awhile. Will be back soon (maybe tomorrow soon)

Celina Tran: The workers are EXTREMELY nice. To the pretty girl and the workers who still took in my order, I will be forever grateful! Fast service and clean place. There’s not a lot of space for parking and the store is a tiny bit hard to find but, personally, I think it’s completely worth it. I can confidently say that almost all the drinks are absolutely delicious. Honestly, I would give this place more than 5 stars if I could.

Cyn M: Definitely a ig worthy place because it’s aesthetically pleasing and cute, food in good presentation as well but not as yummy as it looks. The crime brûlée foam flavor stayed in my mouth all day, the peach jelly was the good part, the strawberry latte was just milk with some strawberry syrup, very bleh.

Kelly (JJo): This store has the most variety menus among any other gong cha stores I ve even been. Taste was also great.

Kung Fu Tea: what do users think?

Fab Dzul: The flavors, bobas and mixes are amazing, worth every dollar spent. The location could need a redesign and a little more care into it. But overall, the drinks are amazing, give it a shot

Dan Rodriguez: The staff was nice enough to accommodate my request for some brown sugar in the rim of my cup for my winter melon grin tea with less sugar. Overall it was better than teas from other locations of the same chain.

Akahdrin Fireal: WA-CCHHHHHHAAAAA!! GET YOUR BOBA HERE OR BRUCE LEE WILL RETURN AND ROUNDHOUSE KICK YOU. On a side note, great service, the taro is flawless, and did I mention to come here? You too can two fist these bad boys.

Mia Ives-Rublee: The people were really friendly. I had boba, which was good. Did not try any of the food yet.

C Poet: Kung Fu Tea is a great place to get bubble tea. They offer many different drinks you can order with many different toppings, to customize your drink however you like.

Jyun-Syun Li: The drink is good. So does the noodle. The broth is authentic Japanese style and the noodle itself is chewy. Highly recommended. Oh, try their takoyaki and pop corn chicken, you won’t regret!

Kelly Moore: So good! Loved that I could customize my tea. Really wanna try their Ramen next time! Employees are super friendly

E-Tea: what do users think?

Saniya Han: First time visiting E-Tea at the Wharf, loved it! The cute interior art caught our eye as we were walking around the square so we decided to go in. We ordered their spring special: Cherry Blossom Milk Tea and a Japanese Cheesecake for dessert. The milk tea had a sweet floral scent and was deliciously creamy but light. The staff was so kind and even gave us three cookies on the house! We’ll definitely be back to try more of their drinks and their selection of onigiri :)

Christopher Lew: We were really excited to try the new bubble tea place that opened up at the Wharf, and in the spirit of the Cherry Blossoms Festival that was going on around us, we ordered the Cherry Blossom Latte half sweet and with less ice and crystal boba. It was ... not good ): It was sooo sweet even at the half sweet level, and sort of tasted like cough syrup! The crystal boba was also just okay. I really wanted to go back and try the Cherry Blossom Milk Tea - which was the other special to see if that was any better, but the drinks are so expensive! It was around $7 for one! I will give it another try with their standard drinks. I reallyyy liked the art and decor though! Love the E-Tea Phone Home mural! Bubble tea places are few and far between in DC, so its always a welcome sight when another one joins the small club!

t mac: First going to this place. They just open. Love the back in day decor of the movie ET. I love the fact they ask level of sugar you want in you drink. Definitely will be returning . While supplies last they are doing a buy 2 get one free.

Isabella DeSpirito: EDIT 7/1/22 The owner graciously honored their comment on my review and we got our tea and tuna bowl on the house. I got the tuna bowl with salad, and it was one of the best tuna poke bowls I have seriously ever had. We also got the sea salt coffee and the dragonfruit rose tea with boba, both which were excellent. We had a lovely time and the cashier was a delight and super helpful. We will for sure be back now! —————————————————————— We went on the second or third open day- it was very busy and it seemed they were short-staffed. We got two nigiri, one with pulled pork and one with spam. Tasty but impossible to eat because the wrapping paper stuck to the rice, making them fall apart. The taro and peach tea were okay but the tiramisu was terrible- tasted like a candle.

Zhang Kiwi: Love this place! New opening, huge Jupiter size cup with economic choice. Buy 2 get 1 free now. Already falling in love with it. Asian owners, very friendly and offer multi language support. Will stop by next time.

Katie Page: I can’t speak to any of the other flavors offered here, but I ordered the Coconut Milk Tea, and there is no tea to be found. It was basically a cup of coconut milk with some pearls at the bottom.

Alex Mosely: The brown sugar bubble tea was AMAZING! The best I’ve had…and I’ve had a lot. The staff was warm and friendly too! 5/5

Spot of Tea - Union Market: what do users think?

Vann R.: The staff who work here really take their time and put their heart and effort into each drink, I can tell. They are very polite, especially the gentleman who wears a graphic beanie in the mornings to early afternoon. Each drink was delicious, we went back twice in our one weekend trip. Definitely take a stop here if you get the chance. Drinks are both aesthetic AND delicious.

Lora Brown: AMAZINGGGGGG! They have such unique flavors and is fun to watch the process done right in front of you. They use natural tea leaves and no artificial syrups which is totally awesome and their drinks are perfect for pictures. Definitely recommend if you like out of the box types of flavors and I definitely will be coming back for more.

Dondré: Located inside an awesome market, spot of tea is an excellent tea spot. Some great refreshing tea options. The customer service is great and the staff of very friendly. Grab some tea and then some pizza from the nearby shop!

Mira Michels-Gualtieri: Exquisite bubble tea and fresh teas! As someone whose been to about 10 different bubble tea places throughout the DMV area, I can honestly say that Spot of Tea is some of the best bubble tea in the area and all around delicious. Each cup of tea they make is freshly brewed (many bubble tea places make tea from powder or bags—not fresh leaves), which also means their tea is healthier and less sugary. The staff is super kind and knowledgeable about tea and the location is great. I highly recommend the classic milk tea with oatmilk, tapioca bubbles, and half sweetness. Check them out for some great bubs in DC 😍! (It’s also super easy to pick up from them safely for those who are validly concerned about social distancing)

Jazmin Hackett (Jaz): I poorly rated this restaurant by accident. Thank you so much for your reply. I removed my previous review, and I found the Spot Of Tea I was looking for. Thanks to whomever is responsible for monitoring reviews, as my message was delivered to the right business because of this. Great management. Thank you!

Keeli Mallory: Friendly tea place inside Streets. Got the strawberry matcha and was so good! Just the right amount of sweetness with their recommended level and with oatmilk. Got to come back to try all the flavors!

Millicent Wong: This place is SO GOOD. Having grown up in Southern California and Asia, I’ve had plenty of Taiwanese chain stores and second-wave second-gen boba shops, so I can say that Spot of Tea is truly excellent 👌High quality tea, real strawberries... but the proof is in the boba, it was perfect and I didn’t expect to find that down here in DC!

Sharetea DC Chinatown 歇腳亭 華盛頓唐人街店: what do users think?

Kim Nguyen: We got classic oolong milk tea with mini pearl and they were perfect. The store is located in the basement and there are no indoor seatings or waiting area. We ordered using the barcode, then waited outside. The order was ready within 15 minutes.

Evan S: The sharetea is pretty good.. I had hot taro with red bean.. pretty good.. ordering is made easier because it’s done online. I recommend trying it out 👍

Mariana Pinos: They’re super busy and when you get there you have to order online so might as well order online ahead to pick up: they’re very sanitary and wear masks. Overall they’re efficient and clean and it tastes good. It’s just super busy

Kate Sutliff: Delicious bubble tea! Maybe get a clap board to put on the sidewalk so people know to order via the QR code. Lots of folks go down stairs to order only to realize they need to scan the code. Very popular spot, may need to wait but it was very yummy!

Olive R.: Super good tea and ice drinks! Got the peach ice with lychee jelly and tried the matcha with milk as well. Not the biggest fan of their matcha but the peach ice easily makes my top five! (Photos not inside the store)

Hannah McGuire: Fun little shop in China town! They require that you wear a mask in the store. I paid about $6.70 for on taro pearl milk tea. It was good, but I wish I would have added a little extra sugar. Not the best ever taro milk I had, but good.

DC Boba: what do users think?

Gregory Alan: Nice small business! There’s not that many boba places in DC so be sure to check this one out! They did an excellent job of adjusting the sugar level to your preference. -1 star because the Thai tea was a little weak/diluted but I will be going back to try something else! The price is also on par with other places I have tried.

Nancy Cosner: My first visit. For sure not my last. Red bean boba matcha. Made to order. Appreciate the extra effort. The lady behind the counter super helpful and knowledgeable.

Miles Haggerty: It was so good we came back a 2nd day in a row. The Ube milkshake is my favorite - do not sleep on it. Super smooth and creamy, works well with boba/bubbles too! Their drinks with blue matcha are also very good. We definitely want to try the banh mi next!

วรรณกานต์ พรมกลาง: My oolong milk tea wasn’t good as I expected.did not smell any Oolong tea. But at least I have try. Great location

Ben Multak: Stopped by here to try a few things and was really pleasantly surprised by what I had. The Vietnamese Milk Coffee is really tasted and quite heavily caffeinated so worth the asking price imo. Definitely better than anything at Starbucks across the street. I was a bit surprised by the Bao bun as I had never tried a Vietnamese one before. I believe it was pork and egg. Really good flavors but it was a little dry could’ve probably used some sort of sauce to go along with it. Finally, I also decided to get the Banh Mi. For ~$8 I think you are getting a really high quality sandwich. Awesome flavors that are light but also savory. Not an overly heavy sandwich so I find it good meal for warmer weather.

Denise W: We happened on DC Boba when it first opened and have been back a number of times since. It is family owned and all the people working there are pleasant and willing to customize your drink. We have had a number of different drinks and all are very good. One note their teas are not sickly sweet so where I would get 50%sweet from Gong Cha, I get 75%sweet here. The buns and sandwiches are good too. This gives me a reaon to go for a walk with a treat at the end. Currently they vlose at 7 pm and we have missed it twice with the longer days.

A D: DC Boba has great milk teas. I got the taro and it was delicious! Best boba I’ve had in DC yet, plus the owners are so kind. Looking forward to trying the Banh mi sometime

Terrie Canape: Had the dirty bown sugar oolong latte and a thai tea latte, added boba to both, they were very good. Also tried the matcha egg waffle with ice cream, we liked it all! I liked that you can order from the kiosk machine when you walk in or order at the counter. They have photo examples of the add ins near the counter. We like the atmosphere and would definitely come here again!

Shamjith Ahmed: Strawberry creme brulee and dirty brown sugar bobba was awesome

angela f: The boba was fresh, sweet, and delicious and the egg waffle was the best I’ve ever had.

Jay T: Ordered a Matcha Milk Tea with Boba and it was probably the worst boba drink I’ve ever had. I normally order from the Rosslyn location and have liked it, but I think this has soured me on the entire chain. No quality control. Just know if you’re ordering from here, you’re gambling.

Jane Low: I went one time and it was good very exciting to find a new boba place and I wanted to be a regular. The second time I come is a way different experience one of the employees was rude to me. I won’t be coming again and even if the drinks were good it’s bad vibes in that location. I’m upset.

Sisi: Definitely a great spot for some boba after eating a big meal! Boba is just a bit chewy— sticks to my teeth a LOT. But otherwise, great staff from my multiple trips there and cool seating spots.

Emily Kaplan: My favorite place to get bubble tea in DC! The egg waffles are also amazing.

Michelle Minstrell: Hidden below street, music/decor so loud very hard to hear staff, often several customers "hanging out", has full menu of drinks

Gong cha Georgetown: what do users think?

Konstantin: Honestly, me and my son didn’t understand the product. Matcha Tea and Mango smoothie were average. But we will give another try, waffles smelled so good.

Christian Raymond: My date ordered the Peach Sparkling and it was a delight. Place is kept clean and warming employees with a lovely Asian ambiance. A must hit to quench any summer thirst.

Yorlieth Avila: I ordered two drinks a Thai tea latte and an Taro Milk tea with grass jelly. The Thai tea was fine but the sweetness level I ordered was incorrect. The I was pretty underwhelmed with the Taro drink. The taro milk was powdery and the grass jelly tasted like it was made with tap water. Apart from that I had to wait an oddly long time to get the drinks…..

Dan Rodriguez: I like Gong cha. In fact it might be one of my favorite bubble tea stores. But man oh man - be ready for the worst service amongst bubble tea stores (already not the best in the hospitality industry) if you come to this store. Ordered online to skip the line, saw as some drinks were placed in the counter as nobody was calling out the order numbers, only randomly someone would go and call out a number here and there, when the drinks were out of reach so customers weren’t able to check. 25 minutes later I approached and asked for my order number, and they handed me the drinks I had seen them carry out at the very beginning. Both their online ordering system and in store service need a lot of improvement. I will in the future, and would recommend, skipping this store altogether.

Aung Myo Htut: I went there with my friend to buy bubble tea. The taste is good. The prices are over $5 for each menu depending on size. The shop is small and there are only two table and some chairs. I think there is no dine in service. Most of the customers are waiting for take out. If you want to use the bathroom, ask them for code to open the door.

Julian Sookhoo: Honestly, worst taro I’ve ever had hands down. The floors were really sticky. But the staff was nice and the overall vibe was pretty cool. That being said, I don’t plan on ever going back.

Hanna Foreman: Extremely busy place given its location on M street. Floors always seem a little sticky and not well cleaned. Drinks have a little too much ice and are not generous with the portions especially the smaller size.

Möge Tee - DC: what do users think?

J S: Worst milk tea place ever. Stay away! Stay away! Don’t come to this store! we ordered 3 black sesame mochi milk tea, we joked about the staff might not know how to make a milk tea because he had to call someone to figure out what material to be added. It turned out he really doesn’t know, and when we immediately went back to the store and told the staff it wasn’t mochi but some kind of jelly, the staff had the nerve to lie to our faces to say it’s a special powder like we don’t know what a mochi is.

Dana Savage: Really high quality and tasty. Menu is intimidatingly enormous and kind of an enigma - perhaps a better, simpler introduction to the basics could help guide newbies. Very tasty and worth a go!

Aimée Rose: This is by far my favorite boba place in DC! Vegans should try the Four Seasons Super Fruit Oolong Tea! So tasty!

Ki Edwards: I wish I could do 0 stars but I can’t.This have been the worst boba tea I ever experienced. The milk taste like skim milk and the tapioca balls was so nasty and squishy.I honestly don’t understand also how my man was disrespected when asked to be made another boba tea.

Irhad boy: I liked their taro milk tea. It was our first time ordering that flavor, and it was delicious.

Teaism Penn Quarter: what do users think?

Jon and Amanda Lewis: Stopped in for a quick snack after visiting the National Gallery of Art. Ordered a traditional bubble tea and a Salty Oat cookie (like an oatmeal raisin). Both were excellent. The rest of the menu looked fun. There are some sandwiches and bento boxes. Want to come back!

Karina Kisselite: There was a lot of sitting - the place has two floors. Their menu is kind of fun - an Asian fusion. The taste was just ok though. Not bad, but not smth to come back for. We had noodles with veggies and chicken okonomiyaki. Chocolate salted oatmeal cookie for dessert - that one was good. The place has a great selection of tees. A bit on a dirtier side when it gets busy. You order upstairs and have to wait for them to call your order.

Trev: I was walking to my car when I stumbled across this Tea shop. Atmosphere was great soon as I walked in. I tried The lavender lemon mint and the Korean beef brisket sandwich . It was amazing no complaints from me! I love the vibes in the shop for sure I really recommend giving this a try ! 5/5 from me for my 1st time 👍🏼

Proficient Potato: Not your traditional bubble tea offering, but they have so many other flavors I haven’t tried before! They also have warm food options, and have a binder with all of the Allergens for each dish and if contains meat right by the order counter! The food I got was great, warm, filling, and well spiced. First place I’ve had a paper boba straw!

Elias Chelala: A huge selection of teas complimented with an Asian fusion menu. I ordered the Okonomiyaki and my friend ordered the Korean Brisket sandwich. I also ordered the sweet matcha tea and added boba. My friend ordered regular black tea with boba. The tea was very refreshing on a hot DC day and we both left satisfied.

Zachary Tyler: Amazing blend of tasty, reasonably priced food with high quality and traditional varieties of tea. The silver needle white tea was amazing.

Yessenia C: The food is so delicious! Their chicken bento box is a must have, it comes with cold sweet potatoes and cold broccoli!. The onion sauce is dynamite! Their Korean brisket sandwich is really good. The sweet Japanese green tea (matcha) is refreshing. The teas are really good as well. 2 doors down they have a tea shop. UPDATE as of 5/18/22 They have brought back the panko fried chicken! I was told the menu will be changing soon.

Teaism Dupont Circle: what do users think?

Min Li Fu: What a cute place to go for a meal before/after sight seeing at the White House. They have many unique and common tea selections. The food are Asian inspired and not like what you commonly see in other restaurants. Their cookies also look quite scrumptious.

Jessica Martin: A utterly delightful tea, small plate, and sweets place that never disappoints. A comfortable selection of indoor and outdoor seating perfect for working on your computer or catching up with friends. I got the jasmine crème brûlée which is rich and fresh and the jasmine tea with is perfectly brewed, not bitter at all. Prices are very fair and the servers are kind too. And they have all the information for allergies like gluten on hand if you need it. I’m glad this location stays open until 8.

Bolo 'Ye: This place is great!! I highly recommend it. The food is very delicious, great location very convenient, friendly staff, it’s very quiet inside you can literally come here do your work and no disturbances. You can either sit on the first floor or 2nd to enjoy delicious food. If your looking for a parking garage, LAZ parking garage is 2 minutes driving $10 all day.

Gaby Karakcheyeva: I go here very often and always get great quality food. I usually get the salmon bento box and the star of Africa tea and it never misses. I haven’t been disappointed by any of their food and the service is usually pretty quick depending on what you get, I’ve never waited more than 10-15 minutes

Ido Simyoni: Went for lunch. Counter service only. Even though we set upstairs, we had to come down to get our food. They messed up my order but fixed it within couple of minutes . Food was good After all.

Ronak Patel: Come here!! Not only is there a wide selection of teas and beverages, they have really great food. While we only came for some tea and an appetizer, it was all made exactly how we wanted it and one of the employees suggested these broccoli tots after I had ordered another broccoli appetizer (so I followed her suggestion) and I was not disappointed!

Jane Jing: So many tea choices. There was so much noise from the kitchen when we sat on the second floor.

Amorah Shakti: Felt like I was eating cafeteria food. I ordered the curry lentil soup. It tasted from a can and was not made with fresh ingredients….I also ordered the sweet potatoes with miso sauce. They were served cold, straight out of the fridge. It was also quite an unusual combination and tasted weird… The shop offered to microwave it, I declined. The tea selection was decent but didn’t have the quality I was looking for. Service was ok, but didn’t seem to care. Bye Teaism 👋

Teaism Lafayette Park: what do users think?

Vy H.: My new favorite lunch spot!! Don’t be fooled by the name of the restaurant—it’s not just teas here—there’s a good variety of food options to eat! I’ve been here three times this past month just to try a variety of their dishes and so far have not been let down. Highly recommend the “bento boxes” for lunch—it’s a huge portion with your meat option and three sides. My favorites are the Korean Beef Brisket and Panko Fried Chicken Bento Boxes! If you’re not feeling the bento box style, you can order these as “side dishes” which is a huge portion too. The Thai Chicken Curry is also delicious—tons of chicken meat and well flavored. It’s a cafe style—you order at the register, wait for your food and then bring it to your table. Food comes out fairly quick!

Alicia Parsons: We had a really great experience at Teaism. The food was delicious, there was a lot of it, and the customer service was awesome. I personally recommend the Thai Chicken Curry. The sauce was exquisite, and the chicken was juicy. I also recommend the cabbage butts. The sauce used for this dish provides the perfect taste. And of course the tea, Kuding Tiasne, and ginger limeade very good.

Rachel Ramoni: Love the ambiance, the quick and healthy food, and the nice people. The veggie curry just did not have enough flavor, and much of it was made up of a vegetable that was quite tough. Either it was undercooked or should be cut into much smaller pieces. But it was very pretty, and I will return here!

Jennifer Leon: The bubble tea was by far the best we have had since leaving Taiwan (where bubble tea was first made) but their menu options were a bit pricey. We got the udon noodles with vegetables and the ginger broth was strange. The soup was beautiful to look at but there was a rancid flavor to it like when garlic is over cooked. Also the basil just does not go well with the udon noodles. The atmosphere was lovely and we will definitely go back for the bubble tea.

Mark Wiatrowski: Fresh. Fresh. Fresh. Best breakfast and tea in DC. Views of The White House. Paris on the Potomac! Japanese inspired dishes for breakfast or lunch. Go!

Christian Mai: Great breakfast place. Super nice service and ambience inside and outside. The outside seating is great. I can highly recommend the scrambled eggs with jalapeños and salmon on the side.

A Verma: Great place to enjoy an Asian inspired meal and yummy deserts. We enjoyed a quiet spot by the window looking out at the fountain. Highly recommend it.

Sara R.: Another great experience at Teaism. I usually visit the Dupont circle location, but deviated from the norm and tried this location instead. The oatmeal had a great consistentcy neither too runny nor too thick) Only downside was that it took surprisingly long for a simple order of oatmeal to be prepared.

Panda Tea House: what do users think?

Maria Paula: Expectation vs reality…. First off they don’t even tell the costumer that they don’t have same outlook you expecting, second there prices are way up there for this $8 plus tax crazy!!!! Oh and there menu prices they have on display don’t match so then you be Paying more!!! Like I read on the comments the woman I think she it’s the owner have a actitud, a Coca-Cola was 3 plus tax the slim version.. the boba tea I got the macha disgusting no flavor pure water bobbas had more flavor then the milk tea.. never coming back and hope no one else comes back to this place.. they seem no to care about costumers…

Kamilla S.: When they first opened they were quite good. I was excited to have a new bubble tea spot in the neighborhood. However, the quality has gone way down and the prices have gone up. The cashier (middle-aged woman) acts like she doesn’t want to be there and is doing you a huge favor by making your $7 tea. The worst part is that the tea has a fake chemical taste. It was so bad last time that I just threw it away. Very disappointed.

sydney: TRAUMATIZING. worst restaurant experience of my life. not only did she make my friend pay 3 dollars more than was listed, she refused to give my friend her drink after she had payed! tea sucked and the woman running the stand was incredible rude. if your here on a worldstrids trip, be careful because they refuse to take the vouchers (when their restaurant is clearly listed) worst experience ever!!!

Stella Kong: Very bad experience here. In a word, young staffs who are unfamiliar with business and a middle age lady who is extremely rude to people. I don’t want to blame anyones who just got their work and didn’t know how to give the drink to the right person who paid just now. But !!! The Asian lady who had worked here at least for half year at the register got my drink’s ice percent wrong. And when I corrected her after I saw the wrong order information on the screen, she made a annoying sound and just walked away. You may think it’s the end. Just a lady with bad temper? No yet. After I heard the next two orders which were paid after me all had been finished and given to customers, I asked the young boy who was making milk teas where mine drink was. He clearly didn’t know what happened. So he asked the rude lady to talk to me. She told me that the 75th milk tea order is already finished and blame me that I didn’t show the receipt so she thought it’s my fault that I didn’t get the drink. I said that I just paid for the drink and I could show the Apple Pay details. She got a temper immediately and acted kinda crazy. Last time buying drinks here. It’s like u are paying for bad services but not drinks. Plus the most expensive milk tea I have until now in DMV area.

Christine Klump: They have very little help. Long lines, wait times are Ridiculous. Especially if you are a member of bus group. They are on the mall voucher program but it is for only a certain item. Very disappointing. Very. They couldn’t even let me pay for the teas because they were to focused on my voucher. We were able to get rolled ice cream which was ok but not worth the wait. It’s really not worth your time.

Pamela: They have the best milk tea boba period! Always coming back for more.

Jessica Baker: I see a lot of negative reviews for this place, but every time I’ve been my order comes out great and I haven’t had any issues. The tapioca boba is really good.

Kung Fu Tea: what do users think?

Sindy Chavarria: I always go here to get my Taro slush with bubble and they always make it perfect! The dude with long blonde and black hair was super nice and the girl with medium black hair was super nice! Will be back often!

Angella Daluz: I love Kung Fu Tea! This location doesn’t make the tea as hot. I do not prefer that but I know some people do.

Sheneil Black: It was definitely a step up from some others in the area. Flavors were not what I was expecting but still enjoyed them

Anna V: Awesome place! I’ve been ordering from Kung FuTea for a a while now and think that they have the best bubble tea in the area. Staff is also very helpful. Highly recommend!

Quartz pad: So I had this Cocoa drink in different location and it was good. I’ve never been to this location before.I did not like the drink at all, it wasn’t the same….And one more thing, I DID NOT GET MY BOBA! very disappointed!!

Michael Lee: What is this? What is a Large .8? Is that their way of telling me that the large is now 80 percent of what it used to be? Price is still the same. Taste is still the same. But definitely not happy with these reduced sized cups. I will give this place a 5 Stars .4

Kung Fu Tea: what do users think?

Julene C: I love the bobble tea, super good...servers are so polite.....there are so many flavors you can choose for your bobble tea...they also sell the hot tea.. I haven’t tried yet... anyway, it is a good place that you can look for tea time!!!!! I love the taro milk tea~~~~ — new update, cashier was not really responsible. I was placing order with her and she was doing her math homework! I understand students situations, but they have to know they are working.. I repeated my order 3 times just for a drink.. April 6, 2022 between 4-5pm..picture is evidence.. I will remove picture in a month…

Rita: Delicious bubble tea. The new owner is so nice! I left my number to get help with catering and she took the time to walk me through the ordering process, gave helpful suggestions, and followed up the day of. The drinks were a smash HIT at my party and were delivered on time (DoorDash). Thanks so much!!!!

Fikir A: This small store in dowtown Silver spring Maryland offered a wide variety of teas, smoothies and juices. We had their taro milk tea with boba which was great for an evening stroll. Their staff and store follow COVID-19 precautions.

Ravena Ramsaran: Love the variety of flavors and types of tea. Service is sometimes a little slow due to rush hour and day.

Debdeep Bhattacharya: Located inside the Ellsworth plaza, this place serves all sorts of beverages, both hot and cold, flavored with various fruity and innovative flavors. The service is pretty fast and the servers take time to list down the ingredients of the strangely named menu items. If you like bubble tea, this is the only place to get it in downtown silver spring.

TJ: Good drinks only that you cant really understand what they say throught the mic other than that very good

Krysten Jenci: My daughter just adores Kung Fu Tea!!!! Great service and high quality products.

Sun Mi Yi: Amazing drinks that are perfectly adjusted to my liking every time and even better customer service! Love this place! They also follow Covid-19 safety precautions which means they care about the safety of their staff and also their customers. Keep it up Silver Springs KFT!

Soho Tea & Coffee: what do users think?

Hannah Sadollah: Mobile ordered to avoid the line and ended up waiting 20 minutes more than everyone else that arrived around the same time we did. Coffee come with the food so we just had to sit and wait for 30 minutes. The sandwich was $10 and it was average in taste. Coffee was good. If you come here only order a drink and do not mobile order.

Lisa Smith: My favorite cafe in DC! I come here very often. The place has changed tremendously after the new owners took over. I love their pastries and teas. My favorite is the Green Pomegranate tea. They have happy hour as well. Wine and beer on a great price.

Debra Olson: Delicious coffee and tea, plus delicious pastries. Friendly staff and quite reasonable prices. Nice patio for eating outside or comfy chairs and tables inside. I suggest it for a relaxing weekend afternoon spot.

Michael Kellar: Comfortable cafe, nice service, awesome location. Come to DuPont, get a little off the normal path, and definitely worth a visit while you do something work or just wait for a meeting.

Jamie Gaitor: Liana was a fantastic server! We came in a little after her shift ended but she was happy to take care of us and converse with our group. The coffee was great, will be back whenever we visit DC again!
