Barnes & Noble: what do users think?

Subrina W: Convenient, ample parking lot's of selection , Several staff available to help co-located with Starbucks coffee shop. Clean restroom in the back of the store!! I love this place

virginie gimenez: You do not go to Barnes for its uniqueness but for its endearing familiarity. I absolutely love this brand. A Barnes and Noble is an experience for readers who loves well organized, trendy, and easy access best sellers. This is not a place for readers who love used books, who loves to try to find something old and smelly. Today I went to browse out the horror section and I get a happy feeling just looking at new, unopened novels. I discovered or rediscovered favorites and fell for intriguing covers. You also go to Barnes and No le for its fun puzzles, desk decoration, and unique board game only sold there.

Peaches and Sourcream Children’s Foundation, inc.: The Peaches and Sourcream Children’s Foundation, Inc. really loves and appreciate the staff at this location. It is because of their generosity they helped to jumpstart our new initiative allowing the organization to build libraries in ten homes for children in grades Kindergarten-3rd. Starting in September until June ( based on the school year) each child receives 1-3 books monthly. The books are bestsellers and highly engaging. We can not thank them enough— special shout out to assistant store manager Heather!❤️

benjamin thomas: Great selection of books for all ages. Highly recommended, if you'd like to grab a book.

Paulette Paglia: Very nice store with friendly knowledgeable staff. I did not even gave to ask for assistance. An employee saw my looking confused and immediately came to help direct me to what I was looking for. She even took the time to walk me to that section.

Weekend Warrior: A great little cafe and book store. Everything is spaced out and I enjoyed my time here. Try to respect the 30 minute rule for everyone to sit and enjoy.

Gina Stewart: If you want books, Barnes & Noble has you covered! But Barnes & Noble also carries movie DVDs, music on CDs and albums, puzzles, toys and they have Starbucks on hand to feed your cafeine needs too! It's a clean place to include the restrooms. Several new releases are generally 20% off for non-members and 30% off for members. Enjoy!

Carla Hampton: I love Barnes N Noble and thankful that their physical stores are still open! Friendly staff always, great selection of books and easy to find titles, genres and authors you're looking for. I also like the option to sit in and enjoy the cafe.

Shaun Hill: There are so few bookstores left around these days that it’s hard to have anything to compare it too. This location is close enough for me to visit during my lunch breaks, and I enjoy just browsing l. The layout is nice and allows plenty of room to peruse.

A Mac: I can walk in this place and explore all the books for hours.

Barnes and Noble College @ CUA: what do users think?

The Best: Located and centered around Catholic University this book store has a extremely great atmosphere for college students and young adults. It is also an amazing place for professional adults as well. The food they serve here is fresh and the coffee is five stars. I really like that this is a office away from your office style of bookstore. It doesn't have a great book selection at all, but a great hung out spot.

Laura's Irish Harp: Nice clean store affiliated with The Catholic University of America. Lots of college swag!

Hemidell L: Nice B&N location with a Starbucks branded cafe.

Johnny Becker: They've gone downhill. The Hot cinnamon tea I used to get there, they stopped selling it. It was a tea that actually tastes like it smells. The best tea ever. They couldn't tell me who sells it & I'm ready to buy a case....really upsetting

Freddie Dunn: I stop in from time to time for breakfast or a quick snack. Always great service, good coffee, pastries and quiche. Much less crowded than the new Starbucks across the street. It's a good place for a meeting, or to relax over a hit or cold beverage.

Leila Bournes: Very helpful staff. Always clean and organized! They have a decent toy section. Catholic University clothes of course and a mini starbucks inside. Geat place to get some work done.

Jamilla L.: This review is only in relation to their availability of children’s books. Very limited selection. Even bestsellers like Captain Underpants and other popular juvenile fiction is frequently unavailable. I don’t want to order from amazon or go to an inconvenient Virginia location every time I need a book.

Tim C: Okay, this place is great if you are there for coffee and sandwiches, to study, to hang out, to get basic college supplies or get gear with the Catholic University logo on it. The location is also great. However, its book selection is paltry compared to standard Barnes and Nobles. Most of the space is dedicated to the college shop and the coffee shop. Do not expect a full-blown or even medium-blown B&N here.

Bluz Tech: It is a bookstore. I mean it is Barnes and Noble. Service is good. They also have a starbucks like cafe but they will not take star bucks gift cards. It is a nice little store though.

Mary Durso: Good selection of Catholic University clothing and items. Good selection of school supplies. Book section is adequate. I like that there are chairs where you can sit and read. This is a much better bookstore than when I was a student at CUA!

Barnes & Noble: what do users think?

Tenny Kristiana: Large collection of fiction. Also good amount of non fiction book (history and current affairs. Register to be a member, need to pay $25 for a year and you’ll get 20% discount from your first purchase and 10% after that. Btw I love their Harry Potter corner

Kay Mcay: Not a fan of this Barnes and Noble. Nice enough building but this one is not run nearly as well as other Barnes and Noble locations. Went in several times looking for newly released books where they would have maybe one copy stashed away on the top floor somewhere. This has occurred multiple times. This latest time I had gone in looking for a newly released book that was a top release on Amazon and the old male worker at this location proceeded to tell me they only had one copy in the back because he didn’t think it was a relevant story…… when I questioned him about it, it was so clear he had not read the book nor knew what he was talking about… I don’t think Barnes and Noble employees should decided amongst themselves which books the would like to put out on display…. Needless to say if you want a better experience I would choose a different location.

Gia Bankanella: Great bookstore. Coffee shop inside. Awesome space for browsing and cozy seats to check out purchases before buying. Overall, a wonderful spot for books, games, toys, and more.

Kay David: If I could give below 1 star I absolutely would. I entered the store on a Sunday evening, and upon entering the store, I was immediately yelled at and loudly misgendered by an employee. It was embarrassing, and surely all the cashiers and customers at the cash register heard this employee. They asked (still yelling rudely) if I needed help finding anything because they closed the floor. I had to ask why, since the hours posted on Yelp via Google Maps say they close at 9pm. After reading other reviews, it seems POC are not treated well at this location. For future reference, perhaps a greeter directly at the door letting people know you are closing would be more effective in conveying this message. Terrible customer service.

Daniel Flores: been looking for a new book to read, and even tho me and my family showed up 5mins before closing, the staff was amazing with helping us and not rushing us..

Latavia Reed: Worst experience i have ever had at barnes and noble. Im just going to order books from amazon now. At least there is no cashier judging my taste of books

Jamal Wheeler: Hi i have been shopping here for years since high school , the store manger John decides to follow me around like i am trying to steal because of my skin color , not all black people steal. The staff hear are racesit now i know why. I did call the company to make a report, when i said something to John about what he did, this has happened before, he starts yelling and cussing, if you are of a different skin color you will be treated by racesit staff . Never shopping here again.

Vick Rekhi: It's got a cafe, good selection of books for the casual reader, and a pretty great selection of board games in the heart of Clarendon. What more could I ask for?

Octavia Wilson: I have always loved this store its quiet clean and have a huge selection of books.

Jabrail Smith: Listening to music.... quietly I sat. Meditated 1st, before actually picking a book. Plans on checking out a book emerged in me finishing a book. "The Secret" amazing book. Amazing location. Amazing store.

Barnes & Noble: what do users think?

RCS S: Shopping rush is not a problem at Barnes & Noble Tysons. They stocked up this holiday season and checking out isn’t bad. Organized shelves and clean area. There’s a Starbucks inside so if you wanna chill out a bit you can have some drinks and cookies.

A R: This is what you would expect from a Barnes and Noble but I have to add that the staff here are well-informed and friendly. It can be busy on the weekends, however, this store is very spacious and doesn’t feel crowded. Great selection of books and DVDs. Its location is near a mall entrance. It is easy to pop in quickly to have a look around or spend longer browsing! A great reason to go to the mall but also a great or a great escape from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the mall!

Antonio Tovar: It's great to had a book store at the mall. That kind of consumption is my piece of cake. Unfortunately, like what happened with this country many of the items there are made in China. The quality is good, not get me wrong, it's just sad to think that to make books cheaper we sacrifice the environment and the labor market for it. The selection is quite large and the attention warm and kind.

Mercedes Bello: I bought a book ...la sombra del viento from Carlos Ruiz Zafón but I am displeased because but the place is too dirty! see the pic

Toniekia Poole: Book shopping is literally the only reason I go in a mall. This one had great selections in store. Customer service was also great.

Rajbarath Panneerselvam: A bookstore! After a very long time went into a bookstore and it felt good. Being able to thumb through some books, trying to understand what genre I was most interested in, which book to buy and to just get that nostalgic feeling. They have a Starbucks onsite, for those who might be interested. The vibe quickly died when I saw all those 4k, blu ray and DVDs way overpriced compared to prices elsewhere.

Joe J.: Bookstores are my weaknesses, so Barnes and Noble easily win 5 stars. This location specifically is pretty spacious, great selections and actually in a mall. Highly recommend!

Mohammad Aldosari: I really had a good time there. All services are avaliable And you just have to enjoy reading. Moreover, I got a nice and professional help from ( Sally), She was so amazing with a good suggestions.

H Greenjeans: Always a lovely location for good books, some coffee and peace and quiet. Loved the recent displays. Whoever picks the featured books, good job, keep it up. 😉

GRANT ROGERS: Terrible prices, not much real readers here! Wake up audibles and pdfs are the way to go... Amazon if worst comes to worst but not here. And most small coffee shops have books just give them a look and support the small businesses !

Barnes & Noble: what do users think?

Olayinka Fagbemiro: Great book store with a wide variety of books! Spacious and easy to move around. Excellent customer service.

Brian McGunnigle: We were having a nice walk around the old neighborhood and decided to pop into the book store. Our duaghter decided to be an unreconcilable monster when she found a stuffed animal she couldn't live without. Angela came to the rescue and showed the stuffy had an accompanying book. Angela was friendly and knowledgeable. She helped us once again when it came time to check out as our daughter had discovered another impulse item she couldn't leave behind. Thank you very much for making our trip to the book store a memorable experience.

Meia Harris: Not as large as other Barnes & Noble stores, but this one is very nice inside and new. They do have a Starbucks in the back, but I didn't realize that they don't accept Starbucks cards inside Barnes & Noble.. a little disappointed with that but not a big deal.

Lawrence Dortch: I didn't even know there was a Barnes & Noble's over here that's kind of crazy that they just popped it up and it's a nice one not one of the biggest but it's definitely a nice one. I'll be back to visit and discover new books and pick something up for my niece as she always likes to stop in to whatever book shop is nearby and read and buy new books. There's also a Starbucks inside which well everyone seems to love.

Toni Airaksinen: This definitely doesn’t have as big of a selection as most other Barnes and Nobel’s, but I was able to find what I needed (obscure new book). The downside is that the customer service is lacking due to a lack of staffing. I had to call three times in one hour to confirm that the Mosaic B&N had my book in stock, and then when we went to the register it took about 10 minutes to find an employee. Check the website to see if B&N sells the book for cheaper. Most likely, you’ll save 3-5$ per book. Bring the website up to the register and ask if they can price-match. They should.

Sticks Forks & Others: One of the most cozy BN around!!! May not have the largest selection of a BN, but one of the best for the following reasons: • clean • plenty of light from the street • extremely friendly staff • ample number of unisex bathrooms • not a Starbucks fan, but the BN Cafe serves Starbucks coffee, with a small selection of muffins, etc. • street parking, as well as a large parking lot at Target...about 200 yards away • plenty of places to eat around The only downside is very limited seating.

MannyandNatalia Rodriguez: I really enjoy this Barnes and Nobles Location. Sasha was really helpful in helping me find all the specific books I was looking for, she was patient and very friendly! Great experience.

William Gant: For those of us who are tired of Kindles, iPads, and phones, this is a great store where you can still browse the shelves for paperbacks and ask the employees for suggestions on books covering various subject matters, or if you are too cheap to get an e-reader, you can come here and read for free, just don't do what George did.

Andre Gatling: Great place to chill out, have Starbucks and read some great work, to include my book, Penelope's Bully!!!

Bianca Hardy (iaeka): This is not your normal size Barnes & Noble, with that said they have compact your large store into a smaller one. It has your main selection of books and kids section, and the cafe with seating. Its very nice inside, just lacking on a bit of space.

Barnes & Noble: what do users think?

Mirabella Dawn: love this book stores it's great especially the customer service! The people working are always so kind and very helpful and just nice good people! They have a variety of options of books and stationary and music products!

Thomas Bennett: My girls and I love coming here! It’s a weekend ritual for us and we enjoy every second of it. Love that they have Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh. and Magic available along with a nice selection of manga, anime and it’s great to browse as you enjoy your Starbucks. Staff is super friendly and they are always so helpful. Please keep carrying Funko Pops! I love a new selection to look at and buy when we go in. A great place for any Arlington Resident who wants to enjoy a peaceful morning!

S. Edward Tj Gerety III MBA: The store was dirty and when asking for help my daughter was ignored. These people do not love books nor are they interested in getting others to love them.

Eric Santure: Staff was friendly and store was extremely clean. Starbucks is attached to the store, right by the checkout.

K Poper: I found a lot more people lining up for coffee than at cash registers, a lot more people in the cafe than the book display area. The coffee aroma was so tempting, after perfunctory review of books, I found myself drawn to the cafe. But discouraged by the long line, I turned to the exit. Walking out, I thought it would be more profitable to make it a big cafe.

Antonio Torrico: I love it! They have a summer reading for grades 1st - 6th and they have story time. And for the parents who need that delicious coffee... Starbucks is connected! It is the best book store , so go.. now! Seriously, GO!!

Sanjana Rg: My favorite local Barnes and Noble. Kind staff, decent selection, and you can browse in peace.

Patrick Jones: They damaged my book with the rubber band that they had wrapped around it and unfortunately it was the only copy of a severely out of print series. I had to take a loss on it when the customer came to pick it up . Disappointed, especially since i drove 2hrs to pick it up.

Alba Murillo: Super clean and organized store. The staff was super helpful and friendly. They offered to ship my books to me so I wouldn't have to take them on the plane with me, as I was visiting some family.

bellaestrella1: Barnes & Noble is always fun for my daughter and I. We can spend hours there and not realize it until someone calls us or we look up and notice its dark out. I'm particularly happy that she purchased some books so she can give her brain a break from electronics... Always great customer service at this store.

Barnes & Noble: what do users think?

Hilda Kroll: If you love books, this a wonderful place to browse or buy. A nice coffee shop. Really friendly and helpful staff.

Jean Westcott: Always well-stocked and clean, this store has helpful clerks who are always welcoming. There is a cafe and clean restrooms. They have games and gifts and a good selection of books. The popular manga section is always busy but well-maintained.

Soffiyah Nasher: I’m very impressed by the wide selection of books! I read books that run the gamut from historical fiction to romance to geopolitics and 99 percent of the time they have the exact book I’m looking for! I also love the ambience, cleanliness, and atmosphere of this place. Highly recommend.

alejandro mendoza: My daughter and I love coming to B&N the staff is super friendly and the vibe is great. We enjoy browsing through the books and other sections. Nice and clean and the snacks available are good as well.

not Emperor Palpatine: Everything you want in a barnes in noble. Great staf, great coffee/other drinks, and relaxing area to read and write. Only 4 star because there's no tucked away chair that's extra private that some stores have. But other than that. All good to go!

Andre Gatling: Great atmosphere, knowledgeable staff, perfect for getting work done, have a coffee and read some phenomenal works!!! They even sell albums, yes record albums, lol!!! Plus you can buy my book there, Penelope's Bully!!!

April Moyo: Good selection in children's though the lady helping me couldn't find mulitple titles I needed, and person who could was out. Do yourself a favor and use online or call to reserve and pick up if you need specific titles available, and aren't just there to browse. Seems to have low staff-to- customer ratio.

Amy Lynn Kellis-Webb White: I bought Classical Mythology, Edgar Allan Poe's Complete Tales & Poems, Grimm's Complete Fairy Tales, Dante's The Divine Comedy (complete edition), H.P. Lovecraft's Great Tales of Horror & Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland & Other Classic Novels. All are jacketed hardcovers & were on sale for $8 each! The staff was helpful & polite. I'll be returning there frequently. There's also a Starbuck's in the store.

Hank S.: B&N stores are great places to browse books, magazines, travel guides, all types of accessories and even toys for kids. The selection is wide and prices reasonable. If you're a B&N member ($25/year) then you get 10% off entire purchase. The place is clean, quiet and not crowded so you can enjoy a cup of coffee or something to eat at the cafe inside while you sift through books or mags from shelves. Well worth a visit!

Robert Arnold-Simons: Clean store--and bathroom! Very helpful and friendly staff. I look forward to my next visit!

Howard University Barnes & Noble Bookstore: what do users think?

40ish Sophisticate: I found the prices to be excessive and the inventory limited but that is not why this establishment is receiving 1 star. Alex Bamfo the HU Bookstore gets -1 star due to the employees. The young ladies working today could not be bothered with simple customer service. Janelle you are neither too busy or too important to assist customers in a respectful manner. Hopefully you will learn this before you get a real job.

BlessedWild “April-Rain” FireChild: I really enjoy the Barnes and Nobles Howard University Bookstore. It had such a diverse selection of books to choose from you could get lost there forever. It's a very chilled and laid-back environment they have a Starbucks adjacent to the bookstore but I didn't patronize that job I really was more observant of all of these beautiful books while I was visiting in town for work. The only downside is that the store closes at 5 and if you're an avid book lover you may need to find another Library or get there earlier

Brittany Bell: I was in a bind and needed my online order immediately. The HU Bookstore staff - Kirk, Armani and Alex went above and beyond to make sure I had my items. It was a special occasion and celebration for a friend so their thoughtfulness and patience while going the extra mile meant a lot. I appreciate their consistency in customer service, especially the manager Kirk. True Bison excellence. Many many many thanks!

Mia A. Rapier: Great selection of clothing and a accessories at all price points. There is a Starbucks in the bookstore too 👍🏽

Cut and Bounce Lawn Care and Party Rental: My wife is an alumnus so this is the best place so get paraphernalia. Friendly staff. Security watched me a little too much but she was doing her job.

Stacie: Location is good. Store is very large, lots of school apparel to choose from.

Anthony doc: Their Greek section was very small and not a lot of variety of clothing/items to purchase.

Anonymous User: Great customer service. Need better shirts for the prices.

Bhagyashree Panda: Great place for quick shopping of gifts, momento and essentials near to Howard University.

P: This is my alma mater!! I love the bookstore evolution since I graduated!

Barnes & Noble: what do users think?

tal: Gorgeous bookstore. Love the airy bright feel and the selection of books, beautifully organized and displayed. Lovely cafe as well. Barnes and nobles always feels welcoming.

Cynthia Walker: Store is very attractive. Sales people are very helpful. Even though they didn’t have the particular book I was looking for they offered to check other stores for me (no one had it) or order it. When I explained I was trying to get it for me beach vacation & it wouldn’t be available in time the sales person FRED recommend a book in the same genre ( had read it & enjoined it) & it was 1/2 price.

Sara Hornberger: Good selection, clean store, friendly and knowledgeable staff. I had trouble finding the book I wanted, and it was difficult to find a staff member to help me, but that might be because I went at a busy time. Overall, I enjoy being here and have found great books and gifts here. The staff have been very accommodating and helpful.

no: The vibe in this particular Barnes & Noble is very off. I needed help finding a book, but no one wanted to help or even acknowledge me. Thank god there was only ONE black girl working there who helped. Lady at the register didn't greet me & literally forcefully shoved the receipt in my hand, no thank you or have a nice day. Definitely some racist energy, felt like a 1940's whites only store. The location in Bowie is so much better.

Heather Wellington: Such a relaxing, lovely store. Always so clean, well organized, and friendly. Much bigger than it appears from the outside. Large and lovely Starbucks Cafe.

Marie-Lise Bonneau: Very nice lady spent time calling other stores to see if they had the books I wanted and if they could ship it to the store in Rockville. The Ellicott City one did not want to do it so she called another one and I should have them this week. The store does not carry the bargain ones anymore and is smaller now but it has very friendly employees.

Dee Jones: The smallest location I've ever been to but don't let that keep you away. They still had EXACTLY what I came for (2 books specifically). Caici went above and beyond to assist me with finding a title and the young ladies on the front end were super friendly. Will definitely return. Thank you.

Mike Sampson: Very good bookstore with good selection of books, records and a large magazine rack. Starbucks is next door and the place has wi-fi.

Paisleys Mom: My first visit since the store moved. It is small but sunny and a reasonable selection of books 📚 and some magazines.

Ycklieft Paz: I hope and wish we can keep this Barnes & Noble around... In my 20 years in the Maryland area, this location has been a usual place for me.

Barnes & Noble: what do users think?

P. Anh Nguyen: The largest store among many B&N branches I have visited so far. It is fun browsing their exotic toy collections.

Michael Cho: Great place to look for children's books. This place has a great selection of books. The membership maybe worth purchasing if you will be buying a lot of books. The staff was very helpful. We will be visiting this place a lot.

MG: I've never been in a bad Barnes & Noble - here is another good one! Large, great selection, good parking, and friendly staff. It is located in a nice, smaller sized shopping center which includes Home Sense and Capital Grille, 2 other awesome places.

James Lee: Love our Barnes and Nobles. I have not been there for pass two years due to work and personal matters. But I enjoy spending my time with my daughter, and seeing the new layout of the store.

uscray: Ok for the kids to get interested in books. The management may have a particular political bias as the current affairs section has all of one liberal leftist ideology highlighted and on prominent display over more conservative traditional authors. More expensive than online but if you want to continue having brick and mortar stores and local jobs gotta spend some money there.

Gary Smith: Barnes & Noble was well-stocked and staffed when I visited. The store was very busy, but it took me no time to check out. They also had a huge selection of board games. Overall I was very impressed with everything I observed. I have been back several times since my original review and the staff has been awesome every time I ask for any assistance.

Joshua Flores: Always a great bookstore. The employees have been super friendly and helpful each time I asked for help with something specific.

Gautam Chhibber: Always great place to find books, toys, vinyls, magazines and any other reading related materials! This location is clean and has alot of variety.

Brian Potvin: Great place! Store was clean and quiet, and the employees were very helpful, even walking me to the section that contained the books I was looking for.

A ML: Not many book stores left. Great staff. Cafe is pretty tasty and service is good.

Barnes & Noble: what do users think?

Olivia S.O: This store is wonderful. It’s clean + organized, they’ve got a large selection of books in stock, and the staff is friendly + helpful. The best part is I can bring my son and he can have a full experience. Local libraries aren’t doing it for me, but this B&N has a really nice kids section, the books are low to the ground so young children can actually reach them, and has a toy section. I love that the toy section is on the other half of the store because it doesn’t distract from the books. We spent a good amount of time in both sections. We were able to be in there for nearly two hours, never running out of things to do.

Asa Barbour: I have fond memories of going here as a child. My mother would take us to casually spend time and just read books all day. It was so nostalgic that when I was dating, I found myself going there as a date to hang out and find new books to read with my now wife. Barnes and noble is the GOAT.

Darryl Dixon: Very well laid out and welcoming bookstore! Neatly organized and welcoming! I very easily found the book I was looking for. You felt like you could stay and read for hours!

Marsh Mellow: They have a really wide selection of books, tarot cards, toys/stuffed animals/collectables, there's a Starbucks in there with nice seating, and I feel like the people who work there are always really cool and chill

Jacob Wernicke: Always a great experience in this store. Be sure to grab your books and then use the coupon that often prints out to get a snack for you or your little readers at the cafe.

justin fischer: This place has so many books I didn't know where to begin. I just walked the aisles looking around and it took an hour to walk the whole place. Very cool

Night Dragon: Not quite as good as some other B & N's I've been to, but it still has a lot of good stuff in it. The employees were very professional and helpful, and thank goodness for the disability equipped bathroom.

Luis Hurtado: I enjoy coming here. Nice staff. Great book selection. Also great board games and toys to choose from.

Cin: Originally went here for manga for myself and ended up buying that, something BTS for my crazed sister plus a developmental toy for my baby. I really appreciate the organization of everything especially the toy section which is labeled by age.

Amber Marie Halley Lord (SuperNaturalegirl): I love that they partner with the Write Women's Book Fest and feature new and upcoming smaller Authors, super amazing, KEEP IT UP!!!

Barnes & Noble: what do users think?

O. Gomez: Awesome place! I am so sad that there are less and less Barnes and Nobles around. This is a magic place for me, full of nice memories. They have an amazing collection of books, toys and stationary products. They have a nice cafe in the store. I love to go there, select some books, check them with a coffee in the cafe, and then buy most or some of them after deciding which I think might be best. Being a member is worth it ($25, 10% discount in anything you buy, coffee included). I totally recommend this place.

Natalia Khrycheva: Love book stores and going through aisles, checking out books. Or if you have lots of free time you can pick a stack and sample. Pure bliss 😁 anyway, this is not the biggest B&N store. It's only one floor, but it's well arranged, the sections are nice and neat, balanced and it's got a good energy. It also has Starbucks cafe inside, which is like a mixture of coffee drinks from Starbucks, and nice food options, and other items that are different.

Rachel Kearns: Just wanted to give a shout-out to Sydney S who checked me out yesterday. She was very outgoing and gave great recommendations. I’m new to fantasy and am already hooked on the priory of the orange tree. Her advice to also listen to the audiobook was spot on!

Jason Eden: My favorite bookstore. I could spend hours (in the best way) looking for a new book. Always a friendly bookseller available if you need a recommendation.

Tom Koval: Wonderful store with something for everyone, whether in book form, a board game, some Legos or STEM kits, or a cup of coffee. I love to take my kids and expand their imaginations.

Ben DeGuire: I have always loved Barnes & Noble as well as Borders, and this location does not disappoint! We even hunted down some Pokémon cards here last year and the staff was very helpful and courteous.

vladimir wolf: One of few remaining stone and mortar book- stores. I feel nostalgia in the air. I'm afraid that we will forget to read paper books soon. Maybe good for environment but.... 😢

Cory H: Awesome Barnes and Noble. The staff are super helpful, recommending books based on purchases. Really what you want at a book store.

Tim Meier: This is a great place to come to if you need a break from your busy day and find a good book or magazine, a fun game, puzzle or collectable trading cards, get a sweet treat, have some coffee or just take in the almost zen like calm atmosphere. The employees are friendly and very helpful. The treats at the cafe smell so good. You'll want more than one. There's a large eclectic magazine collection. There are constantly changing displays of new releases & the top selling books every time you go into the store. Recently I found Paul McCartney's The Lyrics book on a table by the checkout counter. On a promotional table near the back of the store there was a fun collection of $5 children's books. Customers can purchase the Barnes & Noble readers club membership and get discounts on everything you buy in the store plus free shipping for online purchases. On the first purchase the discount is 20 percent! There's is a large kids section at the back of the store. Until next time be kind to each other. #barnes&noble @yelpdc #books # magazines #games #cardcollecting

Andrew: Great widespread of books, bathrooms need to get checked out for check ups, i like they have more music option magazines again.

Barnes & Noble: what do users think?

Matthew Henderson: Very nice Barnes & Noble! We enjoyed the walk here and checking out the book store while sipping on some coffee. The lights around this place are cool at night!

Liam Lehr: I love going to Barnes & Nobles. I went with my parents today to pick up some books for my niece/ their granddaughter's birthday. I can't leave there without looking at the books for myself. My dad loves books too. So for what was supposed to be a 5-10 minute stop, turned into a 30+minutes stop. I get like a high, a book high when I step inside.

Trinity Edralin: Fashionably arranged bookstore. Shelf organization was very intuitive and fun to navigate. Coffee & bar locale make this a welcoming storefront for all kinds of visitors. 5/5 will come again & for drinks, too.

Joana O'Brien: Bookstores are my weak spot. For many years I disallowed myself from frequenting them as I could not stop myself from walking out with a good chunk of my salary spent on a stack of books. A few years ago, I completely got rid of my bookshelf (careful to take pictures of all my precious books that were given away). Today I learned that it is still my weak spot and that I should continue staying away if I want to be able to feed my kids (not to worry, that is a gross exaggeration made for emphasis). This Barnes & Nobles has it all, including a bar and cafe. There are nooks and crannies everywhere to sit down and veg. However, when in a bookstore, I do not have time to stop and veg. Instead, I owe it to my avid Google review-readers to take pictures and look at EVERYTHING. They have everything, and holding real books, feeling the different textures of the covers and the pages just gets my happy feelings bubbling and hopping. There is a huge kids section, young adults section... not sure where this list is going, because if you want it they have it. There are enough people working there to get the help you need, but never bothered. I often found myself sitting on the floor, surrounded by stacks of books (those coming with me, those I am actively looking through and some other random piles) and nobody looked at me funny or called the cops. The trip was still a bit painful on my wallet (but sign up for the free membership and you'll get a nice discount, in this case 10%), but in my entire career as a mom, I have not often been able to say no to requests having to do with books. So, the four of us walked out with big smiles on our faces and that was worth every penny (pun intended... we call our youngest daughter Penny). Ended the evening going next door to Elevation Burger, which will be reviewed next. Happy reading!

Lauren Kay: Booklovers beware: the friendly staff and in-demand books always find a way to my wallet. Don't come here if you're on a book buying ban, because you'll lose miserably. The environment is clean, bright, and the vibe is immaculate. Stop by the Starbucks cafe before browsing. I promise it'll make the experience so much better.

Imran Zaman: Thus is a nice trendy Barnes and Nobel, coffee shop inside, street parking for an hour, or free parking garage behind the store. Wide array if books, new releases, and classics. Lots to do in the area.

Satyajit Nadkarni: One Loudoun. Interesting. Expensive. But good times to be had walking and generally being outside in the summer. I like bookstores and I like B & N. I lament that there are more peri peri outlets than bookstores and I miss the small treasure troves that used to be locally owned bookstores. The store is fine. The books are good.

Laura Inglis: First Barnes & Noble I've been to that has a kitchen instead of a Cafe. Plenty of seating and it probably takes up 25% of the space in this location. The location is clean and comfortable and workers are very friendly. Seems like they a smaller book selection compared to others I've been in.

Laura Spriggs Gray: This is a smaller Barnes &Noble (1 story) but it has everything you could need, including a cafe where you can sit and enjoy your reads. It also seems to be fully staffed unlike many businesses right now. Staff are friendly and helpful and checkout lines move quickly. There’s ample parking in the garage behind the building too. A great place to finish off your Christmas shopping.

Bryce Johnson: Possibly the best atmosphere I've experienced from a Barnes and Noble. Very relaxing cafe area with plenty of seating. I also like the staff recommendations (both officially marked on the shelves and spoken to if they see you eyeing a book they like).

Barnes & Noble: what do users think?

Gary Ma: Clean, sleek store with big windows. Looks like a large cafe with books. Wonderful staff.

Juhi Pac: Great location and great atmosphere. The design of this specific location is sleek and beautiful

EDWR FLE, Chef: Did bot purchase anything. I was killing time. Nothing of interest I do wish magazine's and such where in French or they had French newspapers or other items like that. Beautiful coffee shop.

Ian Wright: It looks like the original plan was to build a cafeteria and when they ordered all the stuff for a cafeteria a bunch of books showed up and they just rolled with it. Kind of cold feeling and not the greatest selection when it came to sci Fi, but better than nothing I guess.

Meredith Waye: Always clean, well-lit, organized and friendly! Went for the Starbucks inside. The Frap I ordered was, "Perfecto!"

Emily Even: Amazing books a million, very clean and plenty of books to select from. Only downside is the Starbucks doesn't take the app

Mark Randolph: I was been there on Saturday February 13th, 2021 at Barnes n nobles New is Tuesday May 14th, 2019 at the mall in Columbia.

COZIVILLE CHILL CHAT (Chy Glizzy): I love this Barnes and nobles it’s peaceful I’m actually waiting for them to open up for positions for bookseller for PT I always to work here .

John Kendrick: Really nice brand new shop, unusual in today's e-commerce era. Nice large Starbucks inside with lots of tables and clean restrooms. Only issue is this is located at the mall in Columbia and while you don't have to enter the mall to get to the bookstore, you do have to deal with the traffic and parking. J

Alisha Waller: 4 stars only because the Caucasian young lady at the Starbucks was rude & dismissive. Otherwise--great experience & location.

Barnes & Noble: what do users think?

Raj S: First timer. Like all Barnes and nobles store, this one was so peaceful and good . They also had a starbucks inside to make things better . Loved the coffee in starbucks. Nice and peaceful to read a book with a sip of coffee. Quick service and payout. As always they have offers but very less customers, who read books in this generation :) thumbs up 👍

P. Anh Nguyen: Interior is nice and clean. Their book collections are comparable to other Barn Noble. However, the restrooms are VERY DIRTY.

Jaslyn Machuca: Very bad customer service. My boyfriend and I went into the store asking if anyone had turned in a debit card because he lost it and might have dropped it in the store. They told us they were going to check in “the safe “ and this lady in the picture went and we waited for about 30 minutes then we saw her walk out to smoke. No one told us if they found it or not. They wasted our time.

Ken Healy: Probably the best Barnes & Noble I've been to in the DMV area. Clean, well-organized, and well-stocked, this location is also home to a wonderful, friendly staff, who have consistently provided exceptional customer support. They are knowledgeable of the inventory and always eager to assist. I am not a fan of driving into the Manassas area, but this B&N makes it worth the effort.

Eleanor Thompson: Great service by Elena. We added the membership, she explained it well. Huge store, lots of book selections. Bought some gifts. There is a coffee shop inside as well. Tween found some harder to books and gifts (aname and pokemon card set). Huge amount of academic learning books, expanded. They do have some behind counter reference books, so ask if you can't find something.

Rhonda Fox: Stopped here on my visit from Knoxville TN. The personnel were so helpful. I wanted Adrienne Cheathams's new cookbook and they directed me right to it and offered to find other copies if I needed them. BTW the store was spotless!

Ron D: Excellent book store, very helpful people. Also the nice young lady, the cashier, gave me a coupon for a cup of coffee. How great is that, they are the best.

Yo Yoon: Worst customer service ever. At the counter, previous customer had trouble with the expired membership card, so the female worker was telling the older male worker what he should have done, while I was waiting in the line, and over 2 minutes. I asked them if they can have that conversation after I'm gone, but their response was very negative. Finally the woman decides to ring up for me, as if doing a favor, and the guy approached me and said very sarcastically, "Thanks for understanding." Well, yeah I understand why someone over 50 is working at the bookstore counter now. Good luck.

Dark Dr42: Still the best new bookstore in town. With membership you also get discounts on everything in the store which also makes this the cheapest place to purchase board games and Legos. Down side is they don't have a mobile app.

Shannon Kruse: The Manassas location has a great selection and never seems to be crowded. The staff is friendly and helpful. My son found a bunch of vinyls he was looking for to add to his record collection. We enjoy coming here!

Natalie PARKS: Store clerks show great interest in the customer's needs here. Roger, who generally moves around in the store demonstrates what it means to value the customers, which I found to be very impressive. Excellent customer service! Also, you'll love this new location.

Terra Marzec: I loved the store set up that they have created! This location is definitely smaller than most, but the design and the total aesthetic makes up for it to me! I'll be visiting again and I'm so glad to have a Barnes & Noble in the area!

Magoo A.: Saturday, April 9. 11am Really thrilled about this bookstore! I really am. Except the ladies behind the coffee counter shrills and talks so loud, like they’re in a sorority house. We try not to listen to their boy and first world problems but it’s too jarring, was looking into buying 3 books but couldn’t sit by and make a decision because of their noise level. Then all 3 of them started singing Justin Bieber song so that’s our cue to return the books I was going to buy, go home and just order from Amazon instead. We’ll be back when it’s audibly safe.

Ryan Jennings: Store is small. It is not like the other Barnes and Nobles. Vary small graphic novel section. I was excited and waited for months for store to open. Was very disappointed. Much rather go to BAM.

Koko: Great location, love the selection and a super friendly staff! So happy to have a real bookstore back in the area!

Alexia Thomas: Great location, love the updated store design and Cafe size. I'll go again and again I'm sure!

KAROL ALEXANDRA: I love this place and it’s super clean, but I’m currently trying to read and there music is just going a little too hard. I can’t concentrate.

Whitney: Beautiful store, friendly and helpful staff. Love the selection of books.

Maria Reyna: Very friendly great customer service. Great kids selection.

Barnes & Noble: what do users think?

Knicole Cox: We absolutely love the children's area at this location. Unfortunately, I did not have the best experience. I asked an employee if she could please direct me to the "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom" series. She looked at me and sternly replied, "It's not a series; it's a book." Clearly, I know it's a book... I'm at a book store. I kindly told her that it is, in fact, a series and I was looking for the other two books. She turned away and said, "Well, that's news to me," as she walked to the computer. She found the books I was looking for, but they didn't have them in stock. It's okay if you don't know. I get it. I would just love if the employee was a little nicer.

Juhi Pac: Good location, inside the Gateway shopping area. Lots of parking, decent book selection. Great place to study because of ample seating at the café area and charging ports. Roughly a third of the place also sells non-book items, such as toys, games, water bottles, stationary, cards, craft items, bags, dolls, etc. Really great children's books area, it's very big. No outside drinks are allowed

Melissa Norton: I absolutely LOVE this location! Although, it doesn't have a music section, the children's area is incredible!! Staff are friendly and helpful...oh and bathrooms were nice and clean.😀

Chrissy Weaver: I'm an entire state away and they have a wonderful crew that helped me get a book I had one last chance to get. Lore Olympus Exclusive Cover I didn't get names but if he and she see this they will know it was them and they did amazing and I thank you. 5 stars to you both thanks for making my day 😊

Sybilla Bakzaza: This is a really big Barnes and Noble! Beautiful cafe with lots of seating and a great variety of books. Good Lego section. The staff is very helpful and friendly.

Ben Gross: When I can't get to the little independent bookseller, I'm thankful that Barnes & Noble is still around. Great new release books, interesting assortment of games and toys, and sometimes they even have sports cards!

Victoria Morales: So disappointed. I was looking forward I'm buying a cup and setting into a cozy corner to relax and enjoy a good read. No cozy couches and no nooks anymore. Just hard benches and hard chairs hanging around the coffee shop. Not my idea of a relaxing place.

Ray Miller: By far, this is one of my favorite B&N's. Rarely do I leave without a new book. Everything is neatly organized and it feels like a genuine book store.

Christina Ebeling: Excellent location, spacious store, Starbucks cafe, and great selection of books

Gary Ma: Like a throwback to another era. Great staff and a quiet, pleasant environment. Because I travel all the time, I love my kindle and e-reader, but it's nice to just immerse myself in a world of books.

Olivia S.O: I stopped in to run my toddler out after a long afternoon of driving, and the children’s section is so good! So well organized and clean, with relevant toys placed next to their respective books. Well stocked with new books and doing good with recognizing the cultural months and placing books out (AAPI for May). We loved our time here today!

Zachary Greenwell: My son and I had a good experience with the friendly and knowledgeable staff. The store had a great selection and even carried the hard to find bullet journals that I've only been able to find in online retailers. Their kids section no longer has the train table unfortunately, but it's still a lovely area and they have a lot more than just books throughout the store.

Cadence Gammill: Really nice book store! It's much better stocked than others I've been to in the area. The employees were really friendly and helpful. I'll probably be back to this one, even though other ones are closer!

Yolanda Fraction: Love this bookstore so much, the customer service is always awesome! They have a wide selection of best selling books. I almost always find what I’m looking for!

Linda Lansing: Great selection of books that are organized in a way that you can find things easily. Nice to also be able to get a coffee!

Manda Pullen-McGrath: Friendly staff, large variety for in person browsing, store well kept and clean and organized. Great summer reading reward options for kids.

Hannah Hutchison: Always enjoy my time in a book store. This really is a one stop shop for gifting as well! The selection of toys, crafts, even art supplies makes it really convenient to find a really good gift. Also a fantastic selection of nerdy and geeky merch!

Mikeyblazer 2: Its amazing. The best book store i have ever been too

Carrie Legg: Nice place and spacious especially for relaxation. Highly recommend going! Coffee shop too!!

Elaine Shepherd: You will discover a vast inventory including books, periodicals, greeting cards, stationery, gifts for adults and children and a small cafe. The staff is knowledgeable and always accommodating. I enjoy the calm atmosphere while browsing.

Valerie Jupe: The inside cafe is not a Starbucks and the girl at the register was very unpleasant. The cappuccino was, however, good. The selection of books was decent but also frustrating

Michael Audet: I still like browsing books and looking at the same tacks and shelves. I miss the chairs and benches they used to provide but I know they want to sell books not pretend to be a Library :-). Nicely organized store easy to find subjects.

J Pringle: I am a huge book person and they have so much more than just books there too! They have putty , kids toys ,pens, bookmarks and even journals and agendas. They've got almost every genre of books, even a whole section of the store just for Manga. Amazing. Not to mention, there's a Starbucks in there!!! Only thing I have to complain about is the pricing. You can find a lot of the regular books for better prices on Amazon.

Eris Mackey: I had a great customer service experience last night. First, I was looking for a Chess set and Dee help me find it and explained the different products. Then, during checkout I encountered Dee again, she noticed I was buying Murder Mystery and through conversation she introduced me to a new author. What I liked most was her knowledge and enthusiasm. This spills out into great customer service. Thanks Dee

Crystal Longerbeam: They have a atar bucks but told me it wasn't a Starbucks. So if it's not a star buck then don't be using the name.that is miss leading i had a gift card on my phone told me I could not use it because the star buck barns noble wasn't a star bucks it was a barns noble Cafe only. But It said star bucks and then I asked for a drink they said sorry we don't make star buck drinks because we are not a star bucks but when my daughter got her drink it said star bucks on the cup .wow they should not use the name if they are not going to let u use yr star buck gift card

E Cz: Good location. Plenty of books, has a small Starbucks. Friendly atmosphere.

larry kenneybrew: My daughter purchased 2 animé books for her friends birthday held at Topgolf.

peter pinkham: If you like a huge bookstore, this place is for you. Everything is reasonably logically located, and one in doubt ask a store person. Doesn't hurt that it's multi-level and there's a nice Starbucks inside so you can sit down and relax if needed. Not a bad way to spend an hour or two I must say. My wife and I found several books on rving and travel so we were very happy.

Matt Hanson: Just wanted to take a moment to give a big shout to Ben from the cafe. He has exemplary customer service and was very helpful when I visited with my grandmother. Please make sure he is recognized for going above and beyond.

Scott Carter: Always a good experience when I go in I have even seen a few book signings the staff is always helpful
