Barnes & Noble: what do users think?
virginie gimenez
virginie gimenez: You do not go to Barnes for its uniqueness but for its endearing familiarity. I absolutely love this brand. A Barnes and Noble is an experience for readers who loves well organized, trendy, and easy access best sellers. This is not a place for readers who love used books, who loves to try to find something old and smelly. Today I went to browse out the horror section and I get a happy feeling just looking at new, unopened novels. I discovered or rediscovered favorites and fell for intriguing covers. You also go to Barnes and No le for its fun puzzles, desk decoration, and unique board game only sold there.
Peaches and Sourcream Children’s Foundation, inc.
Peaches and Sourcream Children’s Foundation, inc.: The Peaches and Sourcream Children’s Foundation, Inc. really loves and appreciate the staff at this location. It is because of their generosity they helped to jumpstart our new initiative allowing the organization to build libraries in ten homes for children in grades Kindergarten-3rd. Starting in September until June ( based on the school year) each child receives 1-3 books monthly. The books are bestsellers and highly engaging. We can not thank them enough— special shout out to assistant store manager Heather!❤️
Paulette Paglia
Paulette Paglia: Very nice store with friendly knowledgeable staff. I did not even gave to ask for assistance. An employee saw my looking confused and immediately came to help direct me to what I was looking for. She even took the time to walk me to that section.
Weekend Warrior
Weekend Warrior: A great little cafe and book store. Everything is spaced out and I enjoyed my time here. Try to respect the 30 minute rule for everyone to sit and enjoy.
Shaun Hill
Shaun Hill: There are so few bookstores left around these days that it’s hard to have anything to compare it too. This location is close enough for me to visit during my lunch breaks, and I enjoy just browsing l. The layout is nice and allows plenty of room to peruse.
A Mac
A Mac: I can walk in this place and explore all the books for hours.

Barnes and Noble College @ CUA: what do users think?
Laura's Irish Harp
Laura's Irish Harp: Nice clean store affiliated with The Catholic University of America. Lots of college swag!
Hemidell L
Hemidell L: Nice B&N location with a Starbucks branded cafe.
Leila Bournes
Leila Bournes: Very helpful staff. Always clean and organized! They have a decent toy section. Catholic University clothes of course and a mini starbucks inside. Geat place to get some work done.
Jamilla L.
Jamilla L.: This review is only in relation to their availability of children’s books. Very limited selection. Even bestsellers like Captain Underpants and other popular juvenile fiction is frequently unavailable. I don’t want to order from amazon or go to an inconvenient Virginia location every time I need a book.
Tim C
Tim C: Okay, this place is great if you are there for coffee and sandwiches, to study, to hang out, to get basic college supplies or get gear with the Catholic University logo on it. The location is also great. However, its book selection is paltry compared to standard Barnes and Nobles. Most of the space is dedicated to the college shop and the coffee shop. Do not expect a full-blown or even medium-blown B&N here.
Bluz Tech
Bluz Tech: It is a bookstore. I mean it is Barnes and Noble. Service is good. They also have a starbucks like cafe but they will not take star bucks gift cards. It is a nice little store though.
Mary Durso
Mary Durso: Good selection of Catholic University clothing and items. Good selection of school supplies. Book section is adequate. I like that there are chairs where you can sit and read. This is a much better bookstore than when I was a student at CUA!

Barnes & Noble: what do users think?
Tenny Kristiana
Tenny Kristiana: Large collection of fiction. Also good amount of non fiction book (history and current affairs. Register to be a member, need to pay $25 for a year and you’ll get 20% discount from your first purchase and 10% after that. Btw I love their Harry Potter corner
Kay Mcay
Kay Mcay: Not a fan of this Barnes and Noble. Nice enough building but this one is not run nearly as well as other Barnes and Noble locations. Went in several times looking for newly released books where they would have maybe one copy stashed away on the top floor somewhere. This has occurred multiple times. This latest time I had gone in looking for a newly released book that was a top release on Amazon and the old male worker at this location proceeded to tell me they only had one copy in the back because he didn’t think it was a relevant story…… when I questioned him about it, it was so clear he had not read the book nor knew what he was talking about… I don’t think Barnes and Noble employees should decided amongst themselves which books the would like to put out on display…. Needless to say if you want a better experience I would choose a different location.
Gia Bankanella
Gia Bankanella: Great bookstore. Coffee shop inside. Awesome space for browsing and cozy seats to check out purchases before buying. Overall, a wonderful spot for books, games, toys, and more.
Kay David
Kay David: If I could give below 1 star I absolutely would. I entered the store on a Sunday evening, and upon entering the store, I was immediately yelled at and loudly misgendered by an employee. It was embarrassing, and surely all the cashiers and customers at the cash register heard this employee. They asked (still yelling rudely) if I needed help finding anything because they closed the floor. I had to ask why, since the hours posted on Yelp via Google Maps say they close at 9pm. After reading other reviews, it seems POC are not treated well at this location. For future reference, perhaps a greeter directly at the door letting people know you are closing would be more effective in conveying this message. Terrible customer service.
Daniel Flores
Daniel Flores: been looking for a new book to read, and even tho me and my family showed up 5mins before closing, the staff was amazing with helping us and not rushing us..
Latavia Reed
Latavia Reed: Worst experience i have ever had at barnes and noble. Im just going to order books from amazon now. At least there is no cashier judging my taste of books
Jamal Wheeler
Jamal Wheeler: Hi i have been shopping here for years since high school , the store manger John decides to follow me around like i am trying to steal because of my skin color , not all black people steal. The staff hear are racesit now i know why. I did call the company to make a report, when i said something to John about what he did, this has happened before, he starts yelling and cussing, if you are of a different skin color you will be treated by racesit staff . Never shopping here again.
Octavia Wilson
Octavia Wilson: I have always loved this store its quiet clean and have a huge selection of books.
Jabrail Smith
Jabrail Smith: Listening to music.... quietly I sat. Meditated 1st, before actually picking a book. Plans on checking out a book emerged in me finishing a book. "The Secret" amazing book. Amazing location. Amazing store.

Barnes & Noble: what do users think?
RCS S
RCS S: Shopping rush is not a problem at Barnes & Noble Tysons. They stocked up this holiday season and checking out isn’t bad. Organized shelves and clean area. There’s a Starbucks inside so if you wanna chill out a bit you can have some drinks and cookies.
A R
A R: This is what you would expect from a Barnes and Noble but I have to add that the staff here are well-informed and friendly. It can be busy on the weekends, however, this store is very spacious and doesn’t feel crowded. Great selection of books and DVDs. Its location is near a mall entrance. It is easy to pop in quickly to have a look around or spend longer browsing! A great reason to go to the mall but also a great or a great escape from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the mall!
Mercedes Bello
Mercedes Bello: I bought a book ...la sombra del viento from Carlos Ruiz Zafón but I am displeased because but the place is too dirty! see the pic
Toniekia Poole
Toniekia Poole: Book shopping is literally the only reason I go in a mall. This one had great selections in store. Customer service was also great.
Rajbarath Panneerselvam
Rajbarath Panneerselvam: A bookstore! After a very long time went into a bookstore and it felt good. Being able to thumb through some books, trying to understand what genre I was most interested in, which book to buy and to just get that nostalgic feeling. They have a Starbucks onsite, for those who might be interested. The vibe quickly died when I saw all those 4k, blu ray and DVDs way overpriced compared to prices elsewhere.
Joe J.
Joe J.: Bookstores are my weaknesses, so Barnes and Noble easily win 5 stars. This location specifically is pretty spacious, great selections and actually in a mall. Highly recommend!
Mohammad Aldosari
Mohammad Aldosari: I really had a good time there. All services are avaliable And you just have to enjoy reading. Moreover, I got a nice and professional help from ( Sally), She was so amazing with a good suggestions.
H Greenjeans
H Greenjeans: Always a lovely location for good books, some coffee and peace and quiet. Loved the recent displays. Whoever picks the featured books, good job, keep it up. 😉
GRANT ROGERS
GRANT ROGERS: Terrible prices, not much real readers here! Wake up audibles and pdfs are the way to go... Amazon if worst comes to worst but not here. And most small coffee shops have books just give them a look and support the small businesses !

Barnes & Noble: what do users think?
Olayinka Fagbemiro
Olayinka Fagbemiro: Great book store with a wide variety of books! Spacious and easy to move around. Excellent customer service.
Toni Airaksinen
Toni Airaksinen: This definitely doesn’t have as big of a selection as most other Barnes and Nobel’s, but I was able to find what I needed (obscure new book). The downside is that the customer service is lacking due to a lack of staffing. I had to call three times in one hour to confirm that the Mosaic B&N had my book in stock, and then when we went to the register it took about 10 minutes to find an employee. Check the website to see if B&N sells the book for cheaper. Most likely, you’ll save 3-5$ per book. Bring the website up to the register and ask if they can price-match. They should.
Sticks Forks & Others
Sticks Forks & Others: One of the most cozy BN around!!! May not have the largest selection of a BN, but one of the best for the following reasons: • clean • plenty of light from the street • extremely friendly staff • ample number of unisex bathrooms • not a Starbucks fan, but the BN Cafe serves Starbucks coffee, with a small selection of muffins, etc. • street parking, as well as a large parking lot at Target...about 200 yards away • plenty of places to eat around The only downside is very limited seating.
MannyandNatalia Rodriguez
MannyandNatalia Rodriguez: I really enjoy this Barnes and Nobles Location. Sasha was really helpful in helping me find all the specific books I was looking for, she was patient and very friendly! Great experience.
Bianca Hardy (iaeka)
Bianca Hardy (iaeka): This is not your normal size Barnes & Noble, with that said they have compact your large store into a smaller one. It has your main selection of books and kids section, and the cafe with seating. Its very nice inside, just lacking on a bit of space.

Thomas Bennett
Thomas Bennett: My girls and I love coming here! It’s a weekend ritual for us and we enjoy every second of it. Love that they have Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh. and Magic available along with a nice selection of manga, anime and it’s great to browse as you enjoy your Starbucks. Staff is super friendly and they are always so helpful. Please keep carrying Funko Pops! I love a new selection to look at and buy when we go in. A great place for any Arlington Resident who wants to enjoy a peaceful morning!
S. Edward Tj Gerety III MBA
S. Edward Tj Gerety III MBA: The store was dirty and when asking for help my daughter was ignored. These people do not love books nor are they interested in getting others to love them.
Eric Santure
Eric Santure: Staff was friendly and store was extremely clean. Starbucks is attached to the store, right by the checkout.
K Poper
K Poper: I found a lot more people lining up for coffee than at cash registers, a lot more people in the cafe than the book display area. The coffee aroma was so tempting, after perfunctory review of books, I found myself drawn to the cafe. But discouraged by the long line, I turned to the exit. Walking out, I thought it would be more profitable to make it a big cafe.
Antonio Torrico
Antonio Torrico: I love it! They have a summer reading for grades 1st - 6th and they have story time. And for the parents who need that delicious coffee... Starbucks is connected! It is the best book store , so go.. now! Seriously, GO!!
Sanjana Rg
Sanjana Rg: My favorite local Barnes and Noble. Kind staff, decent selection, and you can browse in peace.
Patrick Jones
Patrick Jones: They damaged my book with the rubber band that they had wrapped around it and unfortunately it was the only copy of a severely out of print series. I had to take a loss on it when the customer came to pick it up . Disappointed, especially since i drove 2hrs to pick it up.

I also love the ambience, cleanliness, and atmosphere of this place. Highly recommend.

Howard University Barnes & Noble Bookstore: what do users think?
40ish Sophisticate
40ish Sophisticate: I found the prices to be excessive and the inventory limited but that is not why this establishment is receiving 1 star. Alex Bamfo the HU Bookstore gets -1 star due to the employees. The young ladies working today could not be bothered with simple customer service. Janelle you are neither too busy or too important to assist customers in a respectful manner. Hopefully you will learn this before you get a real job.
Brittany Bell
Brittany Bell: I was in a bind and needed my online order immediately. The HU Bookstore staff - Kirk, Armani and Alex went above and beyond to make sure I had my items. It was a special occasion and celebration for a friend so their thoughtfulness and patience while going the extra mile meant a lot. I appreciate their consistency in customer service, especially the manager Kirk. True Bison excellence. Many many many thanks!

tal
tal: Gorgeous bookstore. Love the airy bright feel and the selection of books, beautifully organized and displayed. Lovely cafe as well. Barnes and nobles always feels welcoming.
Cynthia Walker
Cynthia Walker: Store is very attractive. Sales people are very helpful. Even though they didn’t have the particular book I was looking for they offered to check other stores for me (no one had it) or order it. When I explained I was trying to get it for me beach vacation & it wouldn’t be available in time the sales person FRED recommend a book in the same genre ( had read it & enjoined it) & it was 1/2 price.
Sara Hornberger
Sara Hornberger: Good selection, clean store, friendly and knowledgeable staff. I had trouble finding the book I wanted, and it was difficult to find a staff member to help me, but that might be because I went at a busy time. Overall, I enjoy being here and have found great books and gifts here. The staff have been very accommodating and helpful.
Heather Wellington
Heather Wellington: Such a relaxing, lovely store. Always so clean, well organized, and friendly. Much bigger than it appears from the outside. Large and lovely Starbucks Cafe.
Marie-Lise Bonneau
Marie-Lise Bonneau: Very nice lady spent time calling other stores to see if they had the books I wanted and if they could ship it to the store in Rockville. The Ellicott City one did not want to do it so she called another one and I should have them this week. The store does not carry the bargain ones anymore and is smaller now but it has very friendly employees.
Mike Sampson
Mike Sampson: Very good bookstore with good selection of books, records and a large magazine rack. Starbucks is next door and the place has wi-fi.
Paisleys Mom
Paisleys Mom: My first visit since the store moved. It is small but sunny and a reasonable selection of books 📚 and some magazines.

P. Anh Nguyen: The largest store among many B&N branches I have visited so far. It is fun browsing their exotic toy collections.
James Lee
James Lee: Love our Barnes and Nobles. I have not been there for pass two years due to work and personal matters. But I enjoy spending my time with my daughter, and seeing the new layout of the store.
uscray
uscray: Ok for the kids to get interested in books. The management may have a particular political bias as the current affairs section has all of one liberal leftist ideology highlighted and on prominent display over more conservative traditional authors. More expensive than online but if you want to continue having brick and mortar stores and local jobs gotta spend some money there.
Gary Smith
Gary Smith: Barnes & Noble was well-stocked and staffed when I visited. The store was very busy, but it took me no time to check out. They also had a huge selection of board games. Overall I was very impressed with everything I observed. I have been back several times since my original review and the staff has been awesome every time I ask for any assistance.

Barnes & Noble: what do users think?
Olivia S.O
Olivia S.O: This store is wonderful. It’s clean + organized, they’ve got a large selection of books in stock, and the staff is friendly + helpful. The best part is I can bring my son and he can have a full experience. Local libraries aren’t doing it for me, but this B&N has a really nice kids section, the books are low to the ground so young children can actually reach them, and has a toy section. I love that the toy section is on the other half of the store because it doesn’t distract from the books. We spent a good amount of time in both sections. We were able to be in there for nearly two hours, never running out of things to do.
Asa Barbour
Asa Barbour: I have fond memories of going here as a child. My mother would take us to casually spend time and just read books all day. It was so nostalgic that when I was dating, I found myself going there as a date to hang out and find new books to read with my now wife. Barnes and noble is the GOAT.
Darryl Dixon
Darryl Dixon: Very well laid out and welcoming bookstore! Neatly organized and welcoming! I very easily found the book I was looking for. You felt like you could stay and read for hours!
Jacob Wernicke
Jacob Wernicke: Always a great experience in this store. Be sure to grab your books and then use the coupon that often prints out to get a snack for you or your little readers at the cafe.
Luis Hurtado
Luis Hurtado: I enjoy coming here. Nice staff. Great book selection. Also great board games and toys to choose from.
Cin
Cin: Originally went here for manga for myself and ended up buying that, something BTS for my crazed sister plus a developmental toy for my baby. I really appreciate the organization of everything especially the toy section which is labeled by age.

Barnes & Noble: what do users think?
O. Gomez
O. Gomez: Awesome place! I am so sad that there are less and less Barnes and Nobles around. This is a magic place for me, full of nice memories. They have an amazing collection of books, toys and stationary products. They have a nice cafe in the store. I love to go there, select some books, check them with a coffee in the cafe, and then buy most or some of them after deciding which I think might be best. Being a member is worth it ($25, 10% discount in anything you buy, coffee included). I totally recommend this place.
Rachel Kearns
Rachel Kearns: Just wanted to give a shout-out to Sydney S who checked me out yesterday. She was very outgoing and gave great recommendations. I’m new to fantasy and am already hooked on the priory of the orange tree. Her advice to also listen to the audiobook was spot on!
Jason Eden
Jason Eden: My favorite bookstore. I could spend hours (in the best way) looking for a new book. Always a friendly bookseller available if you need a recommendation.
Tom Koval
Tom Koval: Wonderful store with something for everyone, whether in book form, a board game, some Legos or STEM kits, or a cup of coffee. I love to take my kids and expand their imaginations.
Ben DeGuire
Ben DeGuire: I have always loved Barnes & Noble as well as Borders, and this location does not disappoint! We even hunted down some Pokémon cards here last year and the staff was very helpful and courteous.
Cory H
Cory H: Awesome Barnes and Noble. The staff are super helpful, recommending books based on purchases. Really what you want at a book store.

Matthew Henderson: Very nice Barnes & Noble! We enjoyed the walk here and checking out the book store while sipping on some coffee. The lights around this place are cool at night!
Trinity Edralin
Trinity Edralin: Fashionably arranged bookstore. Shelf organization was very intuitive and fun to navigate. Coffee & bar locale make this a welcoming storefront for all kinds of visitors. 5/5 will come again & for drinks, too.
Imran Zaman
Imran Zaman: Thus is a nice trendy Barnes and Nobel, coffee shop inside, street parking for an hour, or free parking garage behind the store. Wide array if books, new releases, and classics. Lots to do in the area.
Satyajit Nadkarni
Satyajit Nadkarni: One Loudoun. Interesting. Expensive. But good times to be had walking and generally being outside in the summer. I like bookstores and I like B & N. I lament that there are more peri peri outlets than bookstores and I miss the small treasure troves that used to be locally owned bookstores. The store is fine. The books are good.
Laura Spriggs Gray
Laura Spriggs Gray: This is a smaller Barnes &Noble (1 story) but it has everything you could need, including a cafe where you can sit and enjoy your reads. It also seems to be fully staffed unlike many businesses right now. Staff are friendly and helpful and checkout lines move quickly. There’s ample parking in the garage behind the building too. A great place to finish off your Christmas shopping.

Ian Wright: It looks like the original plan was to build a cafeteria and when they ordered all the stuff for a cafeteria a bunch of books showed up and they just rolled with it. Kind of cold feeling and not the greatest selection when it came to sci Fi, but better than nothing I guess.
Meredith Waye
Meredith Waye: Always clean, well-lit, organized and friendly! Went for the Starbucks inside. The Frap I ordered was, "Perfecto!"
Mark Randolph
Mark Randolph: I was been there on Saturday February 13th, 2021 at Barnes n nobles New is Tuesday May 14th, 2019 at the mall in Columbia.

Barnes & Noble: what do users think?
Raj S
Raj S: First timer. Like all Barnes and nobles store, this one was so peaceful and good . They also had a starbucks inside to make things better . Loved the coffee in starbucks. Nice and peaceful to read a book with a sip of coffee. Quick service and payout. As always they have offers but very less customers, who read books in this generation :) thumbs up 👍
P. Anh Nguyen
P. Anh Nguyen: Interior is nice and clean. Their book collections are comparable to other Barn Noble. However, the restrooms are VERY DIRTY.
Jaslyn Machuca
Jaslyn Machuca: Very bad customer service. My boyfriend and I went into the store asking if anyone had turned in a debit card because he lost it and might have dropped it in the store. They told us they were going to check in “the safe “ and this lady in the picture went and we waited for about 30 minutes then we saw her walk out to smoke. No one told us if they found it or not. They wasted our time.
Ron D
Ron D: Excellent book store, very helpful people. Also the nice young lady, the cashier, gave me a coupon for a cup of coffee. How great is that, they are the best.
Shannon Kruse
Shannon Kruse: The Manassas location has a great selection and never seems to be crowded. The staff is friendly and helpful. My son found a bunch of vinyls he was looking for to add to his record collection. We enjoy coming here!

Barnes & Noble: what do users think?
Magoo A.
Magoo A.: Saturday, April 9. 11am Really thrilled about this bookstore! I really am. Except the ladies behind the coffee counter shrills and talks so loud, like they’re in a sorority house. We try not to listen to their boy and first world problems but it’s too jarring, was looking into buying 3 books but couldn’t sit by and make a decision because of their noise level. Then all 3 of them started singing Justin Bieber song so that’s our cue to return the books I was going to buy, go home and just order from Amazon instead. We’ll be back when it’s audibly safe.
Ryan Jennings
Ryan Jennings: Store is small. It is not like the other Barnes and Nobles. Vary small graphic novel section. I was excited and waited for months for store to open. Was very disappointed. Much rather go to BAM.
Koko
Koko: Great location, love the selection and a super friendly staff! So happy to have a real bookstore back in the area!
KAROL ALEXANDRA
KAROL ALEXANDRA: I love this place and it’s super clean, but I’m currently trying to read and there music is just going a little too hard. I can’t concentrate.

Maria Reyna
Maria Reyna: Very friendly great customer service. Great kids selection.

So well organized and clean, with relevant toys placed next to their respective books. Well stocked with new books and doing good with recognizing the cultural months and placing books out (AAPI for May). We loved our time here today!

Valerie Jupe
Valerie Jupe: The inside cafe is not a Starbucks and the girl at the register was very unpleasant. The cappuccino was, however, good. The selection of books was decent but also frustrating
Michael Audet
Michael Audet: I still like browsing books and looking at the same tacks and shelves. I miss the chairs and benches they used to provide but I know they want to sell books not pretend to be a Library :-). Nicely organized store easy to find subjects.
Eris Mackey
Eris Mackey: I had a great customer service experience last night. First, I was looking for a Chess set and Dee help me find it and explained the different products. Then, during checkout I encountered Dee again, she noticed I was buying Murder Mystery and through conversation she introduced me to a new author. What I liked most was her knowledge and enthusiasm. This spills out into great customer service. Thanks Dee
