Angela Ingram: Excellent Dance Training and excellent community for dances to train. DIW cares deeply for their students, faculty and staff.

Daisy Fischer: Positive: ProfessionalismMy Grandson participated in the virtual Theater Workshop on October 3rd, 2020, and he had so much fun. The ladies of Teatro La Bolsa did an excellent job of keeping the students engaged while they provided education in language, culture, dance and geography. Thank you.

Zahra Carpenter: Very good quality of dance classes. Although the founder passed away, it is in the staff and teachers heart to carrying on his legacy. Cannot wait what is next for DIW!

Noelle Hoerrner: I love to dance and the young dancers out there in Washington D.C. I think they have an opetunity here!

claudia Moreno: If it was possible to give less than one star i would. this place is beyond unprofessional and you will get tossed around from person to person trying to get basic information. horrible. horrible. absolutely horrible. customer service is absurd.

Cheryle Crawford: Great teacher for younger " bun heads", continues to use ZOOM classes effectively.

Janine Hightower: The variety of performances that pass through this place is mind-blowing 🤯! A cultural experience for all. Many of the performances offer audience participation/interaction. Tickets are reasonably priced, nice variety of snacks. Also you can often meet performance members after show! Clean bathrooms, friendly and organized staff. Be prepared to give written feedback...😉

dipika: Dance Place is one of my favorite establishments in DC, period. Their site schedule is diverse and offers something for everyone and they really focus on local talent which is special. The classes are also great, quite varied, and the space is good for beginning and intermediate class.
Response: Thank you so much for this amazing review!

Lynn Welters: Our Joy to be a part of this Community for over 15 years. Young dancers then are now bringing their young dancers to us for ballet, tap, and modern dance classes. Child and family friendly and professional training leads to scholarships into colleges. Come Dane with Us and feel the Joy... Ballet Elite / New School of Dance & Arts... Where Goals are Met and Dreams Come True

Shelvia Motirayo: My daughter has been with NSD&A since she was three. Ms.Welters and Ms.Raigan have always encouraged and supported her throughout the years. The love and support the dancers receive causes them to know “they matter” as young black girls and boys of all shapes and sizes. The ballet school is a safe place with kind, trustworthy, structured and consistent guidance. Love causes things to grow and the love she’s received over the years has caused her to grow into a poised, confident graceful ballerina. A million times Thank you💖

Charlotte Carter: You and your child will be positively changed once experiencing the wholistic approach Ms. Welters and staff imparts to your child. The dance, costumes, production and dance history comes alive when one ventures into the world of Ballet Elite!

Tamara Belt: This is a great local dance studio with a committed director. My daughter attended ballet classes here when she was young for various years and she was always excited to see Madame Kramer! The is a wonderful way to expose your children to dance at an early age; and continue until they are ready to leave home. I highly recommend.

Cecile Gori: I spent one semester attending the beginner adult class at this dance school and I enjoyed it very much. Madame Kramer is very kind and I feel like I have improved a lot. Wish I could have stayed here a little bit longer !

Anna-Alexandra Rojo Wildman: Beautiful little studio with a warm, welcoming atmosphere, as well as small class sizes for more one-on-one attention from the teachers.

Ali Touzani: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, Quality, Value

The Kirov Academy of Washington, DC: what do users think?

Natalie Taylor: Incredibly professional and quality instruction. I took their online adult ballet, and Allison and Irina both were marvelous. Allison clearly set goals for the improvement of her students and was really knowledge about the biomechanics necessary to achieve those goals. I dramatically improved in flexibility and strength by spending mornings with Irina. The Saturday workshops (when I could make them) were informative and fun.

Jolissa Lybarger: The Kirov prepares not only quality Vaganova based ballet training, but also provides a supportive and kind staff. Their ability to connect with their students was apparent to me within a few days. They have high standards for instruction but also understand the importance of knowing kids. Their communication is always done with such thoughtfulness and efficiency. I never had to wait long for a response regardless of how busy the staff was at that time. I was also always treated with respect no matter how small or strange the question. I really felt valued as a parent. The best part was my daughter left The Kirov summer intensive a better and more confident dancer.

Yoonee van den eynde: My daughter loved so much her Summer Intensive at the Kirov Academy! She loved all!! She had such an incredible experience and she was so grateful to have such a hight level of training! She loved her teachers . She blossomed socially and made great friends ! The food was as well delicious and all the staff working there were incredibly sweet and helpful! So she can’t wait to be back for the year around ! She found her Ballet family and we are so grateful ❤️ Thank you Kirov Academy! Services: Pointe ballet , Repertory ballet , Intermediate program , Jazz , Classical ballet technique

Gail Kee: Kirov is a place for the serious ballet student, and few schools in the US that can match it in terms of teaching and care of full-time academy students. Kirov instructors pay attention to all students, not just the best ones. My 15-year old daughter has been in the academy for 3 years, and she has grown tremendously, not only in technical ability but in artistry and emotional understanding of her craft. Kirov, like any ballet school, has had its ups and down. But we have always appreciated the deep commitment of the teachers and staff.

Karen Cerkez: The Kirov Academy is a Great School , with a caring and loving Staff. The school has a wonderful history and a strong Alumni . Past Students and Graduates are performing in major ballet companies all over the World ,as Corp members , Soloist and Principal dancers. Many of them that have retired from there dance careers have become Doctors , Lawyers ,CEOs, Business Owners even Movie Stars. The school has had a 100% of students graduating and going onto great careers .

L D: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, QualityKirov was the only school this summer that went through all the hoops to provide an in-person intensive. Kudos! They succeeded despite many obstacles and my daughter gained valuable skills in a classroom, where dancers need to be.

acarineric: Positive: Professionalism, QualityA super show from the dancers of the Kirov Academy combining ballet skills and artistic talent. Kudos to the Kirov Academy for having delivered this full length and diverse gala show under the constraint of the pandemic.

The Salsa With Silvia Dance Studio: what do users think?

Summer Brouwer: There’s a reason why they have 5 stars! I never had the luxury of attending dance classes. I just moved here cross country and wanted to try a new experience. I was very hesitant, and very nervous, but I bought the new student pass for $100. The pass allows you to attend unlimited group classes for the month. It’s about a week into the session and I am in love with dance! They have many different instructors and many different styles of dance. I felt at ease learning with other students of my skill level and the energy of my instructors helped me feel so comfortable as well. If you’re on the fence about whether you want to try it or not, GET OVER IT! I love it here and you will too!
Response: Wow, Summer! I have tears in my eyes after reading your review! It makes it all worth the hard work! Thank you so much! We are here to show people that dance heals and helps physically and emotionally. We are so happy you love dance now! Silvia

Reema Bhardwaj: Salsa with Silvia is THE PLACE TO BE. Whether you’re looking to improve your dancing, rent their beautiful studio for your private event, or bring your kids for an experience. You will leave feeling satisfied and happy that you took the step to come in. There is a reason this studio is the #1 Latin Dance studio in the DMV. You can feel the love that was put into the studio from starting out in just a basement to two studios! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The teachers are patient, understanding, and energetic. The adult dance classes are always so much fun and filled with great material you can take with you. They even allow videos to be taken so you can look back to review. And the owner Silvia, she is a boss lady. Very friendly, helpful, and fun. If you’re looking to have a great time with your friends, learn, teach your children dance, or have a private event, come here & don’t waste your time calling other studios!
Response: Much 💗 for you! Thank you so much for your support!

Zey: Salsa with Silvia is more than a dance studio. Lots of magic happens there. You’ve got all the basics- amazing instructors, good variety of classes in style and level, a professional business, and a safe and reliable environment. In addition, you learn how dancing is about much more than just moving your body. By joining the studio you enter a community, so you meet amazing people and make new friends. The owner Silvia is always engaged and she is always willing to help. I have been going to the studio for about 2 years now, and the instructor I have taken the most number of classes with is Joffre. I always had a thing for salsa, but he is the one who really made me love it. Joffre is technically very competent, and he is also a great teacher (which is not always a given). He is also a warm and genuine person, who is very open to feedback. And as a bonus, he has the best taste in music, I learned the best songs/ artists I know from him. In short, if you are interested in entering the world of latin dancing, SWS is the place for you!
Response: Wow! ❤️ Thank you! We love our students so much! So happy that you are part of our community! People like you are the reason for us to fight and survive last year! Thank you!

Marcia de Jesus: I joined Salsa with Silvia in its Georgia Avenue location in January of 2018. During the first 5-6 months of 2018, I was at the studio pretty much every weeknight and all day on Saturday. The studio offers an unlimited-class plan, and you bet I signed up for that and took full advantage of it. My plan of taking as many classes as possible in a short amount of time to improve my dancing skills fast was one of the reasons why I was at the studio all the time when I first joined. The other reason was the people I found there – and they are the reason I keep going to this day. Incredible human beings have worked at SWS over the years, who have helped me feel comfortable as I engaged in a new and at times challenging activity. Among the front-office people, I must give a shout out to Gary. For a long time, he was the face of SWS for me, the person I reached out to if I needed anything. I miss you at the Georgia Avenue location! Among the instructors, I’m sorry for picking favorites (all instructors are great in their own way), but Joffre has always been my guy. Not only is Joffre a very good dancer, but he is also an excellent instructor. He knows how to break down and explain the moves (including teaching how to respect personal space and make sure nobody gets hurt while executing moves); he meets the students where they are (skill-wise) so nobody feels discouraged nor bored; and he tries to make sure everyone is having fun as they work on their dance skills. I felt challenged in Joffre’s classes, but also reassured whenever things got difficult and potentially frustrating. He has certainly helped me become a better dancer and I am grateful for that! Finally, SWS is the place where I found a safe, fun, open community and made very good friends. SWS has become a part of my life, a place I associate with happy things!
Response: Thank you so much Marcia! Your kind words are greatly appreciated.

Darniesha Beach: Took my 2 year old to the babies dance class and the teacher was great. Very good with little ones and my daughter took to her immediately. The class was empty just 2 little ones including mine... but she still managed to fill the time and make it fun. Everything was very clean and location is nice if you want to make a day of it. My only complaint is the time; my daughter has to skip a nap to attend. She was super cranky so I don’t think we’ll be back until a different time slot is available or she no longer needs her afternoon nap. A class between 9&12 or at 5 would be cool.
Response: Thank you 💗 what time would work for you?

Maryland Youth Ballet: what do users think?

Carolina C: I take adult classes at MYB and my experience there has been truly wonderful. I used to go to the Washington Ballet (TWB), a place I like very much and hold dear to my heart, but since I moved to Maryland, the commute became more complicated. As it is the case with many dancers, we tend to become set on our routines, so I was a bit concerned about finding a place I liked as much as TWB. A few people recommended me MYB as the teachers, level of the classes, and live piano accompaniment were similar to what I was accustomed to. And so far, MYB has far exceeded my expectations. First, the teachers are excellent. They bring a wide array of styles so it’s very interesting to experience different classes. Not only their knowledge and techniques are impecable, but they are kind, compassionate, fun and are very skilled at teaching adults, which requires a certain level of finesse and understanding. I have been taking classes mostly with Susan Gresko, Jennifer Ferguson, Deidre Byrne and Lisae Jordan. Because I love their styles and the schedule works really well for me, I mostly take Susan Gresko and Jennifer Ferguson’s classes, and I am extremely happy with them. Susan has awaken in me that fire and excitement I recall having in my teenage years ballet classes. Her classes offer that challenge you need to see tangible improvements. Jennifer is extremely sweet and has the ability to make everyone in class feel relevant and make personalized corrections. So thank you so much to both of you! Second, most of the adult classes are scheduled at convenient times in evening weekdays and during the weekend, which are great for working professionals. Third, the pricing is very reasonable and the live music accompaniment is absolutely stellar. I recognize many of the pianists from TWB. Fourth, the studios are ample and clean, most receptionists are friendly and helpful, and the online booking system works very well. My one recommendation is to consider offering a more ample package to purchase classes. Currently there are only 2 options: a 10 class package and monthly unlimited. This is a bit limiting for people who want to buy more than 10 classes but can’t use them during a month. Lastly, please consider offering an adult summer intensive at MYB. Many of us would absolutely love attending such a program at MYB, and unfortunately no good programs are available in the area. Thanks so much again and keep the wonderful work!

Eugene Turk: It is a wonder how many stellar teachers and musicians are collected in MYB. Fantastic dedication to their craft, and such beautiful accompanying piano. My hips are more flexible now, and I feel as if dancing has given my life new meaning during this trying time of my life! Thanks MYB!

Nicole Konstantopoulos: So much talent in one place! If you are looking for exceptional ballet training, this is the place to go! The staff is amazing! They meet each dancer where they are and help them grow. They also are an amazing community. All of the teachers and alumni are always willing to help the current dancers. They are a wealth of advice and information!

Donna Reese: My daughter studied at MYB from age eight through her high school graduation. She danced in college on a dance scholarship. This is, by far, the most professional ballet school in the area. Her training was outstanding.

linnea allison: I love this place! They always make me feel so welcome. I highly recommend this amazing ballet school.

The Mills Family: GWDC is a wonderful dance home for any family. Our daughter loves her teachers and classes and they always challenge her to grow. We are thankful for the healthy attitudes about body image, strength and diversity that are present at the studio. Our daughter looks up to the older dancers who are great role models. The performance opportunities, especially the Nutcracker, are something our daughter looks forward to every year.

Dawn Tucker: My daughter, now 6, has been a part of the GWDC family for a couple years. They are inclusive, supportive, and a wonderful studio to be a part of. The owner and teachers are professional and work with children no matter the goals. We are proud to be a part of this community and feel very lucky for my daughter to have started here so young.

John Setlik: Our daughter has attended GWDC now for 3 years, entering at an awkward age with not particularly strong dance experience. Within a year, Gretchen and her staff had turned her around with noticeable improvement. They have been positive, supportive, and inclusive in such a way that our daughter LOVES attending her multiple classes each week. Being a busy high school student, Gretchen was very kind about working with difficult schedules. It’s also very clear that student safety is a top priority as training is taken very seriously before students are allowed to advance. Along with the ballet instruction, the modern and tap classes are excellent as well. If you’re looking for dance instruction at any age, we would highly recommend checking out GWDC!

Meg V: This is such a wonderful studio! The quality of instruction is superb, but most importantly it is a loving, encouraging, and kind family of dancers for all ages and levels.

Caitlin Vives: GWDC is an absolute haven for my sparkly, ballet-loving son. GWDC is an inclusive, welcoming, HEALTHY dance studio that offers all dancers a place to grow and flourish on their dance journey. If you have a son who is interested in dance, THIS is the place to be. GWDC values all of their dancers, but the male dancers here are not just an afterthought. The studio has various classes devoted to helping the male dancers hone their skills. The camaraderie among the ballerinos is absolutely gorgeous. You cannot ask for a better set of role models and companions for your son. The director is warm, welcoming, and holds high expectations rooted unequivocally in love for not just dance but each dancer. The inclusive and hospitable environment at GWDC comes from the top down. Every teacher cares. Every single one. If you want to offer your child a place where they can safely be themselves and pursue/find not just their love of dance but of themselves, come to GWDC. And if you do join us, come say, "Hi!" We GWDC parents are a friendly lot :)
Response: Thank you SO much! ❤️ And, yes, the GWDC parents are the BEST!

Amanda King: GWDC has amazing teachers! We love Ms Julianne, she is patient and kind, especially with a room of 5 year old beginning ballerinas. Highly recommend this studio, especially for young dancers.

Dawn Crafton Dance Connection: what do users think?

Ben Roberts: In preparation for our wedding, we decided to book dance lessons. I’ve never felt particularly comfortable dancing but my wife is, so we thought we’d give lessons a try. What a good idea it was to spend time learning a few social dances before our wedding! Our instructor patiently helped us through several dances and really helped to make the learning process more fun. I’d even enjoy more social dancing in the future! At the wedding everyone asked if we’d taken classes because we looked so comfortable dancing together, and we could proudly say we had. I’d recommend this studio in the future for private lessons.

Maria Robalino: Dawn, the owner of this business is an absolute nightmare to deal with. She insulted me and my child in public for attending a party we were not supposed to attend. I offered to pay immediately for it and she still humiliated us. My daughter was traumatized. There have been a couple additional times when she is incredibly rude to me. This woman has pervasive racial bias issues and discriminates kids and parents. This organization is SUPER disorganized. Moms mostly organize others and help with shows. The staff never knows what is going on. Dawn, the owner’s behavior is completely unacceptable! Do not engage with this business

Samantha DiGiorgio: This studio has proven the very best performance quality. It is a fun place to enjoy the beautiful art of dancing and the teachers and faculty are always supportive of their students. While a bit on the pricey side, the competition team is an incredible experience, especially for those who are looking into dancing in the professional world, the entire experience prepares you for such with very minimal drama which is a ALWAYS a bonus. My brother and I have danced here for quite some time and we have grown and matured very greatly as dancers. In addition we have learned what it means to honor our commitments, finish what we’ve started, be a part of a team, always put in the extra effort, and respect dancers of every kind.

Amanda Kossoff: DCDC is the place to be! My sister and I have danced at DCDC and it was honestly one of the best decisions I have ever made - switching from another studio to dance at DCDC. DCDC is such an amazing, encouraging, and motivating environment. The instructors are amazing and extremely talented and passionate about what they do. You can tell that at DCDC everyone is a family and has so much fun together. It is located in Rockville Town Square which is an awesome environment with restaurants and boutiques. There are three beautiful, spacious studios and one mini studio, and a kitchen to hang out it. I love DCDC and am so grateful that I signed up! I have also made life-long friends at DCDC as well. I highly recommend!

Sandra Bainum: This studio has been in existence for decades. A three generation dance studio family, they know how to teach dance and keep kids motivated to move to the next level. Their end of the year shows are fantastic and show the range of students and their potential. They have had kids ascend the levels to the highest ranks of dancers both through competition, to dance teams in college and beyond to the Broadway stage and professional choreographers. Their new home in the city center of Rockville is state of the art and it is truly the BEST studio in the area. Whether you are looking for beginning lessons for a little one to challenging classes for established dancers, you can find it here.

Ron Little: My two daughters have been dancing at the studio for more than 10 years and have grown so much while there. Confidence, poise and humility have produced a couple of "Rock Stars". They absolutely love dancing. The love and support from the studio and the entire family makes all of this possible. Thank you for encouraging the kids to explore the bounds of their talent. Rock Star Dancers from a Rock Star Studio!

Dan Blitz: Dawn Crafton Dance Connection has given our daughter SO many wonderful opportunities to grow and learn as a dancer. She has been exposed to multiple styles of dance at this studio, and loves being taught by trained professionals both in the studio, as well as the outside choreographers they bring in to further enhance training. Our daughter truly values her "dance family" here, and always enjoys her time at this beautiful new studio in Rockville, MD. In addition to her weekly classes, our daughter is also an active member of the DCDC competitive dance team. Very happy! S. Blitz

Pamela Krawczel: All 4 of my daughters danced with Dawn Crafton Dance Connection. My oldest daughter started at the age of 2 andjust finished her last year at the age of 18. She loved dancing and she loved the people. As a parent I thought the studio did an excellent job of teaching life lessons: Show up on time, come prepared, accept feedback graciously, work hard, etc. Overall, it was an wonderful experience.

hpie03: We started going to DCDC when my daughter was 2. As soon as we walked into the studio we fell in love with the people and the teachers. My daughter danced their for 5 1/2 years and we loved ever minute of it. We became family and we gained life long friendships. The end of year recitals and costumes are always awesome. DCDC is a great place for dancers. They not only learn how to danced but they learn how to be great people. Unfortunately we moved 5 years ago but we will always call DCDC our dance family. No other studio compares!

BalletNova Center for Dance: what do users think?

Lindsey Ohle: My daughter took ballet classes for many years at Ballet Nova. The school is fantastic and her skill, technique and flexibility drastically improved. I would highly recommend this studio to any dancer both recreationally or for a serious ballet dancer, like my daughter. Matthew Powell and his team are fantastic!

Stephanie Fontaine: BalletNova is the best! Great teachers and staff, and a welcoming environment. They have a particularly strong program for boys. Highly recommend!

Hilary Javier: My daughter has been in this school since she was three. The staff cares about the girls having healthy bodies, good dance form, each girls individual improvement, and kindness with each other. My daughter has loved all of her dance teachers dearly.

Jennifer Rea: My daughter has loved the beginning ballet classes at BalletNova. However, when CO-VID hit, the company kept charging my account for classes they weren’t giving in person. No one replied to my phone calls or emails. I would have been fine for them to stop processing the payment while the country is in crisis. That didn’t happen. This has been a time of financial hardship for many families. I’m very concerned with the ethics of how BalletNova chose to handle the already stretched finances of their students and students’ families. Also, they have been saying that their Facebook classes are “free”. My bank statement would beg to differ.

Liz: My daughter took ballet here and the staff and school in general seemed disorganized. She had several different dance teachers and there was not one consistent teacher throughout her summer classes. The building also could have used some improvements and more housekeeping.

Tumi Cohen: I took my 4 year old there to try out. They wouldn’t even let me look at the facility without payment of $25 for try out. Then i asked if the teachers were professionals who graduated ballet schools and know how to make it fun for kids? They said no! They have no idea who their teachers were. And it turns out The teachers were not professionals at all!!! They Keep asking me to pay money!! I felt like i was at a black market dealing with purchasing something that i’ll regret. Nothing felt right in that place. Didn’t choose this place for these reasons. Can’t believe they run a business like this

Natalia Crespin: Critical: Communication, Quality, ValueI was really disapointed we took a class a while back. Never learn anything after i talk to the teacher she said she could go to a different level but told me this at the end of her classes section. My daughter told me that the teacher had to spend a lot of time keep a kid to lisen. Also the worse part you can see what you doing

William Grant: they just steal your money. My underage daughter signed for it, she has no idea where they located, no idea how far, she thought they are close from us, but they are not. However when contacted they refused to refund money. (long before class started, when I found this charge on my credit card). I contacted them multiple times, contacted credit card, and etc... Avoid a headache, don deal with them, if that how they do business, preying on kids, they cannot be useful to you!

Kristen Hoeflinger: A lovely, intimate dance school with a wonderful Director. Highly recommended.

Lee Dunn: I have had one of my two daughters here for the last eight years, and it is a gem of a school in our neighborhood. Great teachers, small classes with engaged students and a business manager who helps the teachers and parents keep everything organized (class schedules, fees, etc.). I have particularly appreciated the end of year recital that is always held ahead of Memorial Day and is usually 90 minutes or less. Anything longer is just too long for families, grandparents and others to sit through.

Nancy Holt: Fantastic ballet and tap school. I highly recommend it.

C & C Dance Co: what do users think?

Robert D: Let me start out by saying our daughter does not dance at this studio. However, we competed against them this weekend at KAR dance in Woodbridge/Nokesville. The team was a class act as well as the parents. The kids were very congratulatory to our studio during awards. The parents that we met were all so positive. The dance/prop dads put aside what they were doing to help us load in our props. At one point, one of our girls came off the stage during production coughing uncontrollably. Before I knew it, one of their dads showed up with a bottle of water. There aren’t too many studios that we have encountered that seem to be surrounded by good people such as this one. So, I wanted to extend my thanks from one studio in Fredericksburg, VA to C&C. Thank you!

Lisa Prak: Critical: ValueThey seems to care more about the competitive troop team which is not good. Some of the coaches are great. The place always seems so pack as well. We left and went to Dance Expression and they are so caring and seems so much more genuine.

Kimani Marshall: My daughter enjoys the ballet and tap dance class so that makes me happy. I wish the classes were a full hour though.

Jennifer Wagman: We transitioned here after many years at a studio we loved and didn’t want to leave...it was very very hard. But to describe the experience as positive is an understatement. The staff, parents, students and competition team were welcoming beyond our greatest hopes...and from Day 1 it felt like we had always been there. The instruction/coaching, choreography and philosophy on work-ethic are top notch. The proof is in the kids and the results they achieve year after year. We are one very, very happy dance family.

Julie Rosekrans: If I were just rating the instructors, it’d be a 5 star rating. The lack of customer service in the office, accounting errors, and lack of communication drive the rating down. My child has been here for a few years now and I’ve had negative experiences with everyone except his teacher and the owner which I admittedly haven’t seen but once at the end of year recital. The woman who sells tickets at the office for the show (and programs at the show) is downright rude and hostile when asked simple customer service questions like “how do I place an ad in the program?” Two weeks before the recital I had two separate staff give me competing information on when my kid would perform and I had to play 20 questions to get the right info, and no one seemed to genuinely want to help. I left feeling like I was a huge pain for verifying a simple question. Also it’s 1000% apparent that their priority is the touring showtroupe which I get since it’s probably generating a lot more than a weekly ballet class but aren’t those classes important too? They also take an $80 costume fee, spend $10 or less on the actual costume, then give you two free tickets to the annual dance show ($20 each) in an effort to take care of not spending $80. Simple math tells us they’re holding on to more than they’re spending and it just seems fishy: it’s happened each year I’ve been here.

C.T. From D.C.: My Daughter Dances there and She loves it!!! The Teachers the Staff is Amazing!!!

Tatyana Smith: Great teachers even better dancers ! Such a fun place to be.

Marylandia Marylandia: Customer service needs to improve. The office should at least have a response to inquiries from prospective clients.

patrick mcguinness: Great place! Great staff!

Making Moves Dance Collective (MMDC): what do users think?

Takiaya Hall: I am so glad I made the decision to get my daughter involved in dancing. I stumbled across Making Moves Dance Collective 3 years ago and my daughter has been a part of the family every since. When I use the term “family”, it’s not loosely. At Making Moves Dance Collective they make you feel like you’re a part of an extended family. My daughter has gained valuable friendships and big sisters while being exposed to professional dance training and skills that are truly invaluable! I thank Making Moves Dance Collective for allowing us to be part of something great! And now my toddler son is attending dance classes at the studio!
Response: To say her growth has been tremendous is an understatement. We are so happy to have you all as part of the family.

Candace Dula: I have had 3 children dance with MMDC and we have become a part of something much bigger than us! I love the tight-knit, family feel of the studio, and the Directors are Awesome!!! The teachers are all very talented, and most importantly they love the children, so they work with them to bring out the shining stars!!! No matter the shape, size, or color, all are welcome and that is why Making Moves has set a standard for all others to follow!!!
Response: Thank you! We do pride ourselves on being a studio for all dancers. No matter the age, race, shapely color - everyone has a home at MMDC!

Araceli Carreno: Best Dance Studio in the DMV. My niece has been dancing with them for 4yrs and my daughter started this month. Staff is amazing and they all treat you like family. My daughter is only 2 and she absolutely loves Miss Shannan. My niece is part of their competition team "PRIDE" and it is amazing. All their routines are so much fun to watch.
Response: Thank you so much for your support and your commitment to your daughter, your niece and our studio. We will always be #strongertogether

M. Serrano: A great dance studio that is very diverse and caters to the entire community on a recreational and competitive level. My daughter has been dancing here since the age of 4 and she is 12 years old now. The studio has also grown to be very competitive and participates and shines in dance competitions both local and out of state. The teaching staff are a group of talented individuals and the two owners are the warmest pair of ladies you will ever meet. As a non-profit organization, the studio awards scholarships each year to those who carry dance in their heart but cannot afford to pay for dance lessons. They definitely strive to provide excellent technical training while developing their dancers’ confidence. Check them out!
Response: Thank you for your kind words. We take pride in equally supporting the growth and our recreational and competitive dancers!

Noel Johnson: Making Move Dance Collective is THE BEST studio in the Washington Metropolitan area! My daughter started here in 2016 and the transformation from then to now is truly astounding. Enrolling her in classes at this studio is one of the best decisions I could have ever made. Miss Kellie and Miss Amber saw her potential and ran with it! I could not be more pleased with her development and growth under the teachings at MMDC!
Response: Thank you, Noel. The scary part is we’ve just started tapping into Brooklynn’s potential. She was born to be on stage. T(asks for choosing the MMDC family!

Breyona Richardson: MMDC is a great dance studio! My daughter started with MMDC when she was 3 years old and she is now 7. She has grown into this talented dancing machine and the credit goes towards the dance instructors at MMDC. This year is my daughters first year on the competitive Pride Team and it has been nothing but a great experience! Every Competition we have left with Platinums, High Golds, 1st and 2nd places. Bringing her to MMDC was the best decision I made for my daughter! Coming into the studio you are always greated with friendly smiles! It is definitely a family oriented atmosphere! You will not be disappointed! Ms. Kellie and Ms. Amber are the absolute BEST there is!
Response: Thank you so much, Breyona. It has been a pleasure to watch Brooke grow and mature in both her technique and her love for the art of dance.

Jamii PremDas: My son and daughter love MMDC! It is family oriented and a very comfortable environment. I appreciate the dual emphasis on choreography and technique. There is open communcation with the instructors and directors. All the staff are passionate about dance, teaching, and develping children.
Response: Thank you so much! We do pride ourselves on our dual emphasis. We want to create technically sound dancers with amazing stage presence. We love you all and are so glad you’re part of the family!

regina boudrey harris: Took the Strong by Zumba class and the Instructor, Kareemah was fantastic! She made the class fun and enjoyable even for those of us who had never taken the class before. Her instructions were on point and her personable attitide and personality is what really made me come back for a second class.
Response: That's awesome so why only 4 and no 5 stars?

Kristen Randolph: The teachers are patient, fun and experienced. The classes are such a mix of music and martial arts. I think this is the perfect environment for my daughter to develop more coordination. She is also building up her discipline.

Lia Salza: Great classes, welcoming atmosphere.

Reid Nigel: Amazing classes offered here, I learned so much. Great instruction- very friendly & understanding.
