The K Street teams were consistently friendly on each visit and made themselves available for phone calls when I had questions in the beginning and throughout my cycle. Don’t be afraid to ask your questions about the process as a whole, medication options/pricing, what you’re seeing on the ultrasound screen, etc. The team was always happy to help and explain. I highly recommend the injection class as well—it was very helpful to practice and ask questions. SGF is a top-tier fertility center and I’d recommend it to anyone pursuing fertility preservation!

Be prepared to waste your time, or at a minimum, spend time learning how their organization operates as their employees do not know themselves.

Wendell Bryant: My wife came to Dr. Asmar with a PCOS diagnosis. He and his staff were very thorough, highly confident and reassuring that they could help us get pregnant. They went to work right away running lots of tests without any "fluff" appointments. DO NOT BOOK IF DC IS NOT A REALISTIC OFFICE FOR YOU. Dr. Sacks is a 5 star doctor, but the office staff is less than. Rude, and after setting a follow up appointment then needing to cancel I was told my second appointment was never put on the books. I had to cancel because of the closed offices. Very frustrating.

You can barely reach out to them by phone and email even if we are dealing with very time sensitive matter. I several times left messages to call me back, but I have never received any call back. It happened to me continuously. I saw other patients had the exact same complain as mine while I was visiting their office. They have some internal organizational and structural issues.

Nikita Patel: Dr. Martini and all of the staff at CCRM are amazing! We have tried other clinics prior to CCRM and there is a big difference in the service, care, and attention you get here. The phlebotomist Mark is truly the best. The support team, nursing team (Claire is the sweetest), surgery team, embryology/andrology team, and anesthesia team made every part of this tough process of IVF easier. We have a long journey ahead, but we are so grateful we have Dr. Martini and the CCRM team.

Bernie Nolan: Dr. Payson and his team at CCRM NoVA are truly exceptional! After having a deeply disturbing experience with another clinic in the area, we decided that we were not ready to give up and found CCRM. We were filled with doubt when we met Dr. Payson for the first time, but he immediately filled us with the hope that had eluded us for so long. It is that hope that ultimately got us through a long, trying battle with infertility. While not every treatment was successful, Dr. Payson always maintained a positive mindset and sought to reassure us without coming across as being unrealistic. He was calm and compassionate every step of the way, and we never felt uncomfortable asking questions. And every other person, from the person working the front desk to the person drawing your blood, treated us the same way. SAUDI BAMBI: The only reason I’m posting a 2 star instead of a 1 is because of how nice the phlebotomist is. I’ve had many issues with Ccrm. First I get a 300 dollar bill for a phone consult only to reach out to my insurance saying Ccrm had billed it incorrectly. Then I get a random bill for a service I never received nor a date I was even in the clinic or in contact with a nurse or a doctor. I was only able to catch that because I constantly recheck their own work. Once I kindly raised a concern with the billing department they said they’ll take care of it. A day later and they are sending me the same bill… for the appointment I never had… for the bill they said they’d retract. Once I call to address the issue once again the person on the phone “ebony” had an attitude about it? Like she’s doing me a favor? I was voicing my concern about the constant misbilling issues and her respond was “do you actually have a question for me?” Very unprofessional. The last appointment I had scheduled I was told “it’s only a 25 co-pay” then turns out to be 50. constant misbilling and lack of transparency. Lastly, when I first went in for blood work that was supposed to include hormones, they later tell me that was actually not done and they needed to redraw blood. Causing me to have to reschedule yet another appointment to go over the results they should have already had. This is not to mention the constant phone tag and sometimes hanging up on me. Mind you I’m a new patient and this all happened in a span of one month. And I still have yet to meet my doctor

Hannah Roberson: My husband and I were thrilled with Dr. DiMattina and the team at Dominion. We had previously been at another clinic where we felt like a number and we immediately knew Dominion was different. From our first appointment, Dr. D listened to our concerns, desires and worked with us to create a plan that was suited for our family. When we weren’t immediately successful, Dr. D did extensive testing and made sure we tailored our protocol to get the best results (which ended in a pregnancy!). The team of nurses was always so kind and compassionate. Even though I’m glad to not be going to the office all the time, I’ll miss everyone there and can’t wait to take our baby to meet them all!

Chris Cunningham: Dr. D and his staff are truly doing God’s work. We started at Shady Grove and just didn’t feel comfortable there, kinda felt like we were buying a car, and they wanted to see what we could afford. I found Dominion online and immediately Knew this was a different kind of place. We met Dr. D at the Bethesda office, and what a difference from the SGF Doctor. He was kind, understanding, and extremely patient, as my wife is a serious question asker. Dr. D was awesome. He didn’t sugarcoat the challenges we faced, but gave us the best options for the ultimate goal. The staff was awesome at both Bethesda and Arlington. These are all people that are happy to be at work. I actually asked a staff member I became friendly about her job, and she told me that Dr. D took really good care of them, and it was like a family. It definitely showed. We were blessed with a healthy baby boy, and will be eternally grateful to Dr. D and all the staff at Dominion Fertility. In our first appointment my wife kept pressing Dr. D on his ability to select the gender, in a humorous, exasperated moment he said, “ Wanda, I am not God”. No, Dr. D you are not God, but you are doing God’s work! This is an awesome place, filled with amazing, caring people. Chris C

They will continue to tell you to keep on trying...this is just bad luck when you miscarry several times--keep trying they say. Yeah, keep trying puts more money in their bank. Dr. Browne and her staff have no compassion and are awful at communication. What a complete disappointment. I would never recommend this place to anyone going through IVF. Kesha A: The care I received during my IVF cycle was great. All of my clinical team including Dr.Garde was professional and attentive. After my failed IVF cycle in April I received a voicemail from the weekend nursing team telling me the pregnancy test was negative. I accepted that because there’s no guarantee.What really bothers me is I NEVER received one phone call from my Doctor or anyone from my clinical team to follow up on me-no “How are you?” Or anything. It would’ve been nice...

Amber Reed: VCRM was the first place we went to during my IVF search and from the first meeting, my husband and I absolutely loved him. He was very knowledgeable and made us feel comfortable during this difficult time in our lives. We were admitted in May 2021 and was pregnant by September 2021. We are now expecting our first little one thanks to Dr. Sharara and his team. Nurse Joanne is our favorite she calls to check up on you and is so friendly. Only thing I will recommend as far as Financial is that costs varies according to your specific needs, so be prepared. My husband and I needed more money but we went through Future Family and they were helpful.

Jo is so sweet; she called me several times to check on me when I was having an allergic reaction to Progesterone. Update: We conceived our second child thanks to Dr Sharara and his team. Dr Sharara performed several tests to insure we’d have a healthy pregnancy. He discovered a few concerns and I had surgery to clear the issue. He performed a trial transfer and guided transfer with ultrasound. I’m so grateful for his team and addressing all our health concerns to prevent a miscarriage. He is truly the best doctor for fertility needs

Seán O'Donnell: After “getting” our son on our first implantation attempt, we were sad and disappointed when the next implantation didn’t take. But we weren’t discouraged, and we trusted the practice at UPMC Magee. We wanted another child badly enough to look past the impersonal, transactional interactions with the giant provider. But when the tally ran to two failed implantations and a miscarriage, we were left without any blinders or bias and started looking elsewhere. Research and “interviews” with a number of practices led us to Dr. Sharara and the VCRM team. From the first call, we could tell that they’d be who we’d trust our fertilization journey with from then on. The confidence and clarity that Dr. Sharara presented put our minds at ease (as much as possible), and the administrative and nursing support staff were personal, attentive, and understanding. We drove almost 4 hours each way to work with the VCRM team, to much success. Dr. Sharara proposed some new tests and analyses that we’d never been introduced to, in addition to the one or two that UPMC said might be helpful. Though going through the process was frustrating at times, it was not for lack of compassion, consideration, and rigor on the VCRM team’s part. After all was said and done, we had a successful FTE transfer and are 10 weeks along now. We know we would not be at this point with our old provider, and we can’t thank (and recommend) Dr. Sharara, Jo, and the entire VCRM staff enough.

Aisha Williams: The IVF journey is frustrating, challenging and emotional. I have waited three weeks to allow time to reflect and share my personal experience with SGF as a patient. Overall the experience was not very positive due to how things were communicated, limited access to my physician and certain standards of communication. The positives first: my sonographer, Latrice was amazing. She took the time to learn my cycle as we went two rounds together. The amazing and musically joyful crew who constantly kept me smiling and jamming as they drew early morning blood. Beyond that, I wish I would have done better research in my choice selection. The website boasts “individualized approach” my engagement with SGF was attuned to a fast-food chain. The interactions rushed, cookie cutter updates, like going to McDonalds but receiving a bill for a five star wagyu steak dinner. If you are looking for one-on one attention, look somewhere else. All the doctors are on a rotation, and it is rare you will speak or even see them at appointments. Unless as I was informed, I change what is best for me to what was on the schedule for my doctor (Dr. Nair). On the rare occasions Dr. Nair had to change her schedule to meet mine. It was often met with disdain and the unnecessary sharing of “how busy she was, or how she’s making so many adjustments just for me”. This was a theme I heard multiple times from her and her nursing staff. My advice to SGF is to hire more people; clearly you aren’t short of income. As a “self-pay” patient who’s insurance didn’t cover IVF to be told constantly how busy everyone is or how I should be grateful for Dr. Nair’s time was very disappointing and counter to the “individualized approach” advertised. In no situation is anyone’s time more important than anyone elses. The unsatisfactory communication happened during both of my processes. I had to constantly ask for updates, challenge why we weren’t taking a more aggressive course and even get my mom involved to combat frustration or repeating myself and still getting the same behavior from staff. If you’re a gluten for punishment and decide to go to SGF don’t get shamed into feeling like you can’t ask questions or question a recommended path. (especially if you’re multiple rounds in). This is a multi-million-dollar industry where the hospital, doctors and pharmaceutical companies always win. Make sure you hold people accountable and are in the right place, with the right team to increase your chances of a wining hand.

Trina McFadden: Dr. Malik and Nurse Lana were the absolute best team and we could not have received better care. All of our concerns/questions were addressed and Dr. Malik made us feel confident as we took each step in our fertility journey. In addition, Nurse Lana was always there to provide clarity and encouragement. This process is stressful, but we are so pleased with the level of care and compassion shown to us. I trusted Shady Grove Arlington to help us along this difficult journey and feel as though we were blessed to have Dr. Malik and Nurse Lana on our case. 10/10 to them.

Nithya Mani: ​​I highly recommend Dr. Nair and Shady Grove Fertility. Dr. Nair (and all the staff at the practice) were incredibly compassionate and attentive to our needs. The lady at the front desk very polite- she kept my name and number - Haven’t heard back from them. It’s been 3 days now.

Briana McClain: Shady Grover fertility was such a great experience for my wife and I. Everyone was so caring and kind and knowledgeable. My wife and I were able to successfully get pregnant on our first try and while that may have been luck or good fortune, the staff at shady grove did such a good job of making sure we would be supported and comforted regardless of the outcome. They also do a very good job of making sure that we are fully aware of our cost and our options so that we were prepared for first, next and future steps. We went through the process during Covid-19 and although it was scary at times, the clinic did a great job of keeping up safety protocols and making sure we felt safe. They also did an amazing job of making sure my wife was included and involved via FaceTime and phone calls even tho she was not able to attend the appointments in person. I would 100% reccommend shady grove to all couples trying to get pregnant. All the testing and check ins and checks ups are crucial to a healthy pregnancy as well as piece of mine.

S R: I came to Dr. Yemi in 2017 for fertility treatment with her help I discovered that I had an underlying medical issue that required surgery before I could proceed. She recommended one of the regions best surgeons When I returned to her the following summer for a fertility follow-up after my surgery I was surprised to discover her office had developed some rather unscrupulous billing practices. Not only that, during our conversation I felt she never thought I would qualify for the surgery and brushed me off without any medical tests stating that I would not be able to successfully carry a child to term and should get a surrogate. My experience with her made me feel that American fertility treatment is more about making the medical professionals rich rather than the patients needs. I do want to thank Dr. Yemi for a couple of things. I am grateful for the surgeon recommendation, I feel without him I would have lost all hope. Second, I am grateful that my follow-up appointment with her was a disaster which ultimately led to me seeking fertility treatment in India during Fall of 2019. Instead of being in debt to the tune of upwards of $50K or more, and several rounds of IVF treatment. I went to India (after some research) and paid about $5K for one round of IVF. I am pleased to say that I gave birth this past May 2020 to my son.

Vanessa Jose: Wow!!! I don’t know where to start. From the first day we walked in to that office in September 2017, it has been nothing but great service. Very supportive staff, you have a doctor that actually treat you like family and not just as a random patient. It has been a long journey for us but they were with us, we laugh and cried together. You can tell that the love and the support is genuine...that’s what I called a Good Doctor. Fertility is something that our community overlook, people have no compassion these days and treat you like a disabled; the Montgomery Fertility center staff never made me feel like a was worthless, if anything they had faith I would become a mother. Pricing if anything is below the market... trust me I did my research. As a returned customer you get great discount which was a plus. This is the only clinic that when you feel like your world is turning upside down, you can walk in without an appointment to your doctor’s office and let it all out. As a registered nurse and a patient, i can guarantee you the treatment there is outstanding . Don’t get me wrong, there is no perfect place on this earth and this is why they’re working harder every day to improve patient satisfaction. I will recommend you guys to anyone, love you all😘😘😘😘

Steffie Steph: After reading the reviews I was a little hesitant but decided to give SGF a try. I went to the Fairfax location (3 visits) and was just fed up with the customer service recieved at front desk (nursing/tech staff was great) and was over it. Fortunately I had an appointment at the fair oaks location. This place was great from the first hello, to the actual appointment, to the checkout and follow up. Nita is phenomenal! I forgot the other lady name but she was great too. Even with dealing/resolving my dissatisfaction with the other office and billing concerns. Dr. Swelstad was very nice, great bedside manner and was patient even though I know he had back to back appointments. This office is definitely the standard.

After taking strict instructions on diet for 1 month, I got pregnant naturally. He is proactive, thorough, and genuinely cares. After I got pregnant, he sent a letter to my OBGYN updating him about my pregnancy status, about the medications I was taking, and he asked him to take good care of me. His staff is very kind and friendly. They treated us like family. Mary was very helpful scheduling me and giving me the best times that worked with my schedule. She is also very welcoming and pleasant when we come in. Trisha, who oversees billing, explained to us clearly what our insurance plan covers and what it does not cover. She also helped us by providing us with a payment plan. Jo, his nurse was very compassionate and always called me to check on me and assisted me from my first day in this practice till the last day before I transferred to the OBGYN. I maybe missing a couple of other staff members, but they were all great there! Thank you Dr. Fady Sharara and staff for everything and God Bless You!

Justin Riley: Success!!!!! 39 yrs old and pregnant!!!!!!!!! It is because of Dr. Sharara’s expertise, persistence, ability to pivot when obstacles arose and his amazing team (Jo (MVP), Lilly, Trisha, Mary and everyone else behind the scenes). We first met with Dr. Sharara about a year and a half ago. He was up front with us about the process and our chances of success based on our ages (at the time 37 & 41) and health. He walked us through each and every step of the process. From what we should be eating, to the supplements that we should be taking to improve our chances for healthy egg & sperm quality to the various options of procedures that may lead to success. For us it was through IVF. Through every step of the IVF process, including the ups and the downs Dr. Sharara was always on target with his estimates of our likelihood of success. When we faced obstacles or challenges he provided techniques, methods, and procedures to overcome them. It has been a long journey from then to now with successes and heartbreaks. However, through it all Dr. Sharara and his incredible team have been extremely supportive and have used everything at their disposal to give us an opportunity to have a child.
