Quinn's Auction Galleries: what do users think?
Matthew
Matthew: Rude does not begin to describe the staff! I have been purchasing from this auction house for 6 months. Every time there is an interaction with staff they are extremely rude. They receive 25% buyers premium and a seller premium-plus they don’t allow in-person inspection-their photos and descriptions are misleading-and they still have the audacity to be rude. My schedule pick up time today was 2pm. I arrived at 1:51pm-no one else is here-no other person picking up-staff is just standing around-so I knocked and said I was here but a few min early. I was met with an attitude saying “then you already know you’re early. See you in 10 min) and the door shut in my face. Every employee acts this way. I think they forget-without us buying they wouldn’t have a job-they wouldn’t have an auction house-try being Polite to people-kindness goes a long way. I have spent thousands in the last 6 months-and this will be the last dollar I spend with this auction house. Extremely rude staff-I certainly don’t need them as much as they need bidders/buyers. There are many places to buy items. Please read all reviews and understand why this shady auction house with rude staff has barely above a 3-star rating.
Response: I am terribly sorry you had this experience! We have indeed been very short-staffed and everyone is stretched thin. As the first time slot of the pick up appointments, the staff was still collecting the purchases and probably felt that pressure, however, our goal is always to provide a positive experience with our Associates. Please feel free to contact me at Info@quinnsauction.com if you feel there is more you would like for us to be aware of in your recent interactions with Quinn's. Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns and we hope you will give us another try. David Quinn
Ellen Meiselman
Ellen Meiselman: I was pleased with the service and outcome of the auction. I had somewhat different requirements than others may have: I needed a large house cleared quickly and wanted to keep the costs down for doing so. Quinn explained the rationale for their processes, did everything they said they would, kept me informed of costs I was incurring, and gave me clear answers to my questions. They were also flexible when I made last minute changes. In the end my charges were minimal. Very happy.
Response: Thank you for your 5-star review! Our team enjoyed working with you!
LC S
LC S: I have used Quinns several times and found some very unique pieces at amazing prices! This is a treasure trove and many items are antique, sure they may be dusty or even musty but for the price it’s a steal! Also, for those of us that still appreciate the feel of turning pages and reading an actual book; they have book auctions periodically where you will find some very interesting and rare, hard to find books! Their staff works hard to make sure items are out and ready for pick up. They are always very courteous and helpful ( although they understandably cannot help load items so bring help if needed ). This is a great place to find beautiful and unique items and get a crazy deal! Thanks guys!
Response: Thank you so much for your 5 Star Review! We are grateful for your patronage!
Brandon Blair
Brandon Blair: I recently used Quinns Auction to liquidate the estate of my recently deceased uncle. My experience was great! From the initial meeting with the owner, the customer service department, and the team that inventoried and listed the items, they were true professionals. They set great expectations, and delivered on them. Best of all, they communicated! When I had questions, they were quick to answer them, and follow up with whatever they promised. It was great working with them, and I highly recommend them for others in my situation!
Response: Thank you so much for the 5-star review! Our team really enjoyed working with you!

Potomack Company Auctions: what do users think?
Kenneth Leonard
Kenneth Leonard: Potomack Company is a great company. Everyone is very friendly and provides exceptional customer service. I mainly dealt with Jennifer. She was very knowledgeable about the process, and she was able to answer all of my questions. I submitted a couple painting for review. To my surprise, I had a painting that was worth submitting in the auction. The Potomack Company was able to sell my painting for top dollar. They were very professional, and it was a pleasure working with them. If you are looking for a very reputable auction company, then look no further. Potomack Company will get the job done. I look forward to working with them again in the near future.
Arthur Richmond
Arthur Richmond: over 50 years dealing with antiques Potomack is by far the finest, most reputable, professional auction house I have experienced! They treat everyone with respect, honesty and enthusiasm. Ownership and staff go the extra mile!
Vivien Sted
Vivien Sted: I have nothing but praise for Tom Coward. He is the epitome example of great customer service. He went far beyond expectation to help my pick up driver with a delicate mirror. He deserves more than five stars in my book. Thank you, Tom. Your company is very lucky to have you.
Payne Edington
Payne Edington: I have had nothing but the best interactions with the professional staff at Potomack. I found their expertise unmatched in the market. As both a buyer and a seller I’ve had excellent experiences. They are an excellent guide to the market. Highly recommended.
Michael Benjamin
Michael Benjamin: Great auction warehouse to display items. Well known and reputable auction company with fine pieces. Definitely go for previews and stop by for all sorts of antiques (China, furniture, art, jewelry, etc.).

Sloans & Kenyon: what do users think?
Sterling Patterson
Sterling Patterson: Our experience with Sloans and Kenyon could not have been more positive. Our son’s interaction with Stephanie Kenyon demonstrated her patience and professionalism. She helped all of us navigate relatively unfamiliar territory. Raab Christhilf has an encyclopedic knowledge of the furniture and artwork that we took to the auction. His passion for pieces from the past is contagious !! An auction house by its nature doesn’t control the sale price of an item.Public interest and demand dictates the outcome. Sloans and Kenyon were ideal advocates from start to finish. Thanks to all, The Pattersons
Jamie Askin
Jamie Askin: My family had a number of items up for auction in February. It took three months to get an inventory and payment on the items that sold. They only got $1000 for the sale of many items, deducted 25% of the total and then charged $600 for photographing the items for the catalog which had never been mentioned up until the check came. So out of $1000, my family received $300. I am going to try to reclaim what they didn’t sell, let’s see how that goes.
Felix Alexander Dickerson
Felix Alexander Dickerson: I’ve had nothing but pleasurable experiences with Mrs. Kenyon, her consignment percentage is reasonable and I haven’t any issues in the past or present. Ms. Garrity has always been nice to me and is very helpful. I look forward to each and every auction. Thanks! Felix
Erick Hodge
Erick Hodge: They are extraordinarily dishonest. I was a phone bidder and an item was misrepresented in the catalog and on the phone. They offered a 50% credit to future bidding which I told them was unacceptable. I have repeatedly requested to speak to Ms. Kenyon and she will not call me back. After arguing with the receptionist over the phone, she now hangs up on me when I call. I believe that I am a victim of criminal fraud.
James “Openboat” B
James “Openboat” B: I recently won a Painting at The September Estate Auction. I had several questions, they were promptly answered . After the sale the service with Evangeline was excellent. I would use them again for sure. April 2019 another great transaction ! Thanks Again for the fine service.
Ultimate Home
Ultimate Home: We had very bad experience with them. Lots of fakes. Spent several tens of thousands of Dollars with them. They do phony biding with phony numbers which make you believe someone else is biding on the item to get your bid up. They do not tell you that. We saw a lot of sold items to finally figure out there were fake bids. Totally terrible experience.

Weschler's Auctioneers & Appraisers: what do users think?
Fabio Lepre
Fabio Lepre: Thank you Judy for all of your help and expertise. After purchases a few pieces, she was able to tell me the history of each piece in great detail, assuring the value that I saw during the auction. It was great to connect with someone who loves antiques just as much as I do!
Response: Thank you very much for the kind remarks! Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you!
Alma Abdul-Hadi Jadallah, Ph.D.
Alma Abdul-Hadi Jadallah, Ph.D.: I was extremely disappointed with the service that I received. We had agreed over the phone that Mr. Tom Weshler would come to the house and provide a written report on the item that he was evaluating. I called him today and he said the payment he received for a $100 dollars was only for a verbal evaluation. Disappointed that a reputable business like this did not put in place a clear written process to clarify what was promised and what was expected at the end of the visit. I would not recommend their services in the future.

Prime Auction Solutions: what do users think?
Susan B.
Susan B.: Buyers Beware I bid on two ottomans that I believed were in good condition. Nothing was noted on the auction website indicating stains or tears for this item. I did notice that other items in the auction did in fact list if there were stains, worn spots etc, so I felt confident that if there were any, they would be listed. The auction sight also had some good reviews. So I placed a bid and won. When I arrived to pick up the ottomans, I noticed one had multiple stains on the top, which I pointed out to the person in charge. It was very sunny and we were being rushed through our pick up time slot. Upset that the listing was misleading, but knowing that all sales were final, I allowed the men to load them into my car. I decided to purchase some dry cleaning stain cleaner for the fabric type in the hopes of salvaging the purchase. When I went to try it, I realized that not only are there a lot of stains on the one, but also that one large dark area I thought was a stain is actually holes that are crunchy and feel like burns, that appear to have been sewn with darker brown thread. This cannot be repaired so I didn’t even attempt to clean the stains. I would normally not buy anything with stains but felt backed into a corner since it the invoice stated all sales are final. BUT I would NEVER buy anything with tears/holes. In addition, if you look at the picture posted on the auction website, vs the pictures I’ve taken of the ottomans, not only is the top of the damaged one completely “washed out” with lighting in the photo so that you can’t see the stains and holes/tears, but you can also see the color of the ottomans are completely different from what I thought I was bidding on. While I know all sales are final, that usually implies that the buyer has all of the information necessary to make an informed purchase. When none of these defects were noted on the item description or shown in the pictures at bidding, but are clearly visible in person, it is in my opinion deceptive practices. I have attempted to reach out to the company through multiple email addresses as well as left voice messages on all of the phone contacts listed and have not heard back. I am still hoping they will contact me with a resolution. I generally post glowing reviews of companies so that others can find and use them. I rarely post negative reviews and only when absolutely warranted. All of the good reviews about this company appear to be from sellers. At the moment there seems to be zero recourse for buyers. After this, I personally won’t take a gamble on another estate auction anytime soon.
Jess Koko
Jess Koko: Anne with Prime Auction Solutions is a delight! We purchased several items in an online auction featuring deco furniture and decor with Prime Auction Solutions. I was very impressed with the entire process - from bidding on their website to pickup and everything in between. Communication was excellent by all members of the Prime Auction team and I will happily purchase more quality items from them in the future.
Roxanne Kelly
Roxanne Kelly: One will never be disappointed purchasing fromPrime Solution Auctions. As a repeat customer , I can share that each experience has been positive.Anne and her team are extremely professional, organized , and customer service oriented through the pick up process.
Myra M
Myra M: Prime Auction Solutions made the process of on-line bidding very easy and comfortable. Their website explained everything up front, there were no hidden fees or charges, and their staff was readily available to answer questions and offer advice. My first time experience as a Prime Auctions Solutions will certainly not be my last!
kathy h
kathy h: As a consumer of their sales x3, I am very pleased with their professionalism, response time, quality of their sales and merchandise. Anne and her team are impeccable in making sure they run a fair sale and pick-ups have been really great! Much better than some of the free-for-all estate sales and auctions that I have participated in the last 10 years. Well done newcomers! I think you will be making your mark in this market! Looking forward to the next time!
Beth B
Beth B: It was a pleasure to work with this incredible team. They went out of their way to make sure every detail was taken care of before, during and after the our auction. Prime Auction Solutions came highly recommended by a member of our Church and I am thankful to have taken their advice. The best part of the event was that they exceeded the amount we thought we would net through the auction. I would recommend Prime to anyone considering to sell at auction. It was a hard decision, but in hind sight the absolute best decision we could have made. We should have made the decision sooner.
Response: Thank you for you trust, feedback and referrals. Wishing you the best in your new home.
Megan Mahn Miller
Megan Mahn Miller: Anne is a brilliant marketer and customer service provider. She is an inspiration with her videos, knowledge of the industry, and sincere interest in her clients. I would trust Anne and the Prime Auction Solutions team with any real estate opportunity.

Luban Auction Gallery & Appraisal& Consignment Art, Antiques& Furniture: what do users think?
Edward Radzwich
Edward Radzwich: I have been a satisfied customer of China Luban for over 15 years. The decor of my house has a heavy Asian influence and much of my furniture and art work has come from China Luban. Amy has always been helpful and professional in her approach to dealing with me and I can say that I always look forward seeing her and her VAST inventory of antiques which is no doubt the best in the area. I highly recommend visiting and exploring her treasure trove of antiques.
MK Bates
MK Bates: Amy was extremely kind and helpful in helping me sell my china. She took excellent care of it in the store. It was always on display and sparkling clean. She offered warm tea in the winter and cool water in the summer - very gracious and warm. I enjoyed doing business with her and recommend her highly.
Shirley Albert
Shirley Albert: The LITTLE TINY DOOR opens onto a warehouse of wonderful asian things. From tiny netzuke to huge paintings and sculptures, it is all here. The people are pleasant and helpful and the prices run the gambit. Call first to let them tell you how to get there. It is a hidden treasure. Shirley

Rasmus Auctions: what do users think?
Minda Merinsky
Minda Merinsky: The actual rasmus people are always incredible rude and disorganized. Not the independent sellers, but the rasmus people with the polos on. Frequently, I have gone to pick up items and they can’t locate them and they’re like we’ll just refund you. They’re not sorry and don’t acknowledge that you’ve driven a great distance to pick up said items. Even other sellers who go through rasmus have a terrible time with the company.
Response: Good Afternoon Minda, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. we are certainly disappointed that we have not achieved our goal of being well prepared, efficient, and courteous. I see you have participated in over 20 auctions this past year. your most recent event of one of our super sellers in Springfield. Thank you so much for your business. I don't see where we issued you refunds for missing items, but accept that we failed to give you great customer service. My team and I will be having a meeting with this super seller and our entire team tomorrow to see where we failed, and, redouble our efforts to provide an excellent experience. I'm hoping that you will allow us to learn from your review and demonstrate our commitment. We are aware that the space limitations for this Springfield VA super seller make it more difficult to achieve our goal of grab-and-go. We are actively working on resolving the issue. Please know we care deeply, are embarrassed, but undeterred, and will use your review to sharpen our skills. Thank you again for the reply. Chris Rasmus, CEO Rasmus Auctions
Synovia Wingate
Synovia Wingate: Service was really good for pickup in Springfield, VA. My only issue was the leather sofa and recliner was advertised and showed on the box it had a massage feature, they did NOT. Neither of the two pieces. I was disappointed, but the furniture assembled very easily and overall am happy with my purchase. Yes, I will definitely continue to look and buy from Rasmus Auctions.
Richard Miranda
Richard Miranda: I’ve been a bidder for several years now and I have no complaints just accolades. Rasmus operates and handles their transactions smoothly and professional. I have all my friends bidding with Rasmus auctions as well, they all tell me the same. Kudos to you Rasmus!!
Response: Richard, thank you! We appreciate the positive feedback! I will share your review with the team!
Gone Flying
Gone Flying: Fantastic experience! Was one of the best run auctions I have ever experienced. Pickup was amazing...everything was already together....labeled.....and ready to go. Just based on the pickup alone, Rasmus far exceeded my expectations!
Response: Wow, thank you for the flattering review, I am going to show this to our team today. It's wonderful to see our passion for customer satisfaction pay off!
Matt Brady
Matt Brady: Great quality auction, items were as described and pickup was painless. The only thing I am not fond of is the terrible stickers they used on all of the items. I bought about 20 things and it took me quite literally an hour to clean all of the lot number/branding stickers off of the items because the quality of the labels was so bad that it was literally impossible to not tear the stickers, and afterward they left an insidious glue behind that is difficult to remove as well.
Response: Hi matt, thanks for the review! When taking the stickers off, try dabbing them with a little water, they should come right off!
Rick Khosla
Rick Khosla: Great platform to buy excessive equipments, furniture and many more goodies for your food establishment or home from Rasmus. They are team of professionals and I like the effort team has taken to bring the website engine to today state. Keep it up.
Response: Thank you for the great review Rick! We appreciate the recognition of the website!
Nick santmier
Nick santmier: I generally have great success with rasmus however my last purchase I got the shaft a little bit. Rasmus generally does a good description of the items however I purchased a vehicle through them this past week And the vehicle while running hemorrhage oil to the point the motor is unsalable. There was zero mention of this issue when purchasing. generally rasmus will mission or engine has any noticeable issues. But this one was listed as nothing. So I am now stuck with a large paperweight and a loss of money. again generally I have all my good things to say about rasmus as I shop through the auctions A good bit. But I was shot in the foot on this one
Response: Good afteroon Nick. Thank you for the heads up. we are checking into this item with the team and the seller. We will be reaching back to you shortly. **** Hi Nick, I took a deep dive into this issue after reading your review. Our onsite staff started this vehicle, observed it running, drove it 25ft in each direction then described the vehicle appropriately. There is also a video of the van running on the bidding page. We did not notice any oil leakage. Rasmus (and our terms) state that buyers should never drive a vehicle off the auction premises and in turn cannot accept fault for vehicle malfunctions after the fact. If in fact you had this vehicle towed off the premises and observed these malfunctions once it landed at your location, please feel free to respond in an email and I will get back to you within 30 minutes, thank you! Erikrasmus@rasmus.com
Paul Heaton
Paul Heaton: Their website isn’t very mobile friendly. Also, they STARTED closing items at the designated time, allowing many items to still receive bids after the posted closing time. Very unfair to those who stopped looking after the closing time.
Response: Hi Paul, thanks for leaving us a review! All of our auctions have staggered closing. This part of the process is mentioned quite a few times before signing up and participating in one of our online events. We’re constantly updating our website to include the best UI experience we can provide. We have worked very hard to get our website to where It is today to be as mobile friendly as possible. I will certainly share your feedback with our team.
Hass Ba
Hass Ba: Pam is excellent. They are very helpful and very professional. I enjoy worked doing business with them. Thank you Rasmus you guys certainly go out of your way
Response: Hello Hass! Thank you so much for the positive review and 5 stars, we really take that to heart. I will let Peggy know of the kind words, thanks again!
R C
R C: Won an auction for a few empty metal barrels that no one else bid on, paid and scheduled pickup but ended up having to take my child to the hospital during the scheduled pickup time. I emailed them before to try and reschedule or at least tell them I couldn’t make it but they never responded, kept my money, and banned my account for not picking them up.
Response: Hello RC, Rasmus promptly replies to every commutation that we receive, I’m disturbed to hear this. May I know what email you tried? Some emails have a no response feature. Our chat bar is always the best way to contact us Monday through Friday. As far as the account ban, this is an automatic feature. If it sees a buyer had not picked up, it suspends the account. Please feel free to reach out to me directly 571-237-5875 Erik Rasmus

Mark's Estate & Salvage Auctions: what do users think?
Frederic Oder
Frederic Oder: Very organized on-line auction with lightning-fast invoicing and shipping. Perfect packaging. And he answered email! This was just a small purchase and we were treated as if it were a huge purchase. Thanks so much and we will be watching for your auctions. Judith Oder
Response: i'm glad you like your item(s) , we hope you follow our company on Estatesales.org and place future bids
Cody Gregory
Cody Gregory: I would recommend Mark to anyone with estate and salvage auction needs. He went above and beyond to ensure our experience was positive. He is very knowledgeable and handled our transaction with the upmost professionalism. He was very hands on in helping us pickup a vehicle we purchased over 3 states away. He made sure everything was taken care of and on time. He also checked in afterwards to make sure we got back home with the vehicle. Please consider him for your estate and salvage needs! -Cody Gregory Dayton Ohio
Response: Thank You Cody, i enjoyed working with you with this entire ordeal with the car, and i hope to get to hang out with you one day when the car is done .
Jan Wallen
Jan Wallen: It was a pleasure to work with Mark and Bert. They were easy to work with, prompt, reliable and professional. They looked things over and selected things that would be good for an auction and also an on-location sale. They made it easy to prepare, took care of everything both for the on-location sale and the auction, and promptly made the payments. They were patient and friendly in a situation that had a short timeframe. I definitely recommend working with Mark.
Response: it was a pleasure working with you Jan , and i miss my 4 legged buddy
Diana Reardon
Diana Reardon: If I could, I would give zero stars to this charlatan. As executor of an estate, I signed a legally binding agreement with Mark’s Estate & Salvage to consign a documented inventory of items. Once the items were in his possession, he became vague and cagey about what items had actually sold. When pressed, he did state that some books had sold, but that he could not send a commission check immediately because he had bills to pay, despite agreeing that he owed us the funds. We finally received a small check, but never received an account detailing what was sold. After many months, we asked for a status update of the remaining items and all we received was a text message stating that they had been donated as they did not sell. Please beware when dealing with this individual.
Response: it states in the contract if items don't sell within 3 rounds they are to be donated and you signed off on that when you did the contract , we have not had any flea markets sense early March before everything was shut down , i am sorry for your items that did not sell, people either did not like the items or they did not have money to spend if they where not working or able to have a stimulus check
Nancy Collins
Nancy Collins: Mark and his partner efficiently helped clear out part of an apartment’s furnishings. They were both friendly and efficient,,,great lifting abilities.. I would recommend highly Mark’s Estate and Salvage Auctions. Fast, friendly service! Nancy Collins Burtonsville, Md.
Response: it was a pleasure working with you with your project you had . please spread the word out

Oakridge Auction Gallery: what do users think?
pete nguyen
pete nguyen: Beware!!! Oakridge Auction is unethical with the lack of details and disclosures of item condition in lot descriptions and in custom condition report requests. When Oakridge was informed of the issue and was provided with supporting photos and documents they immediately reference their policy that buyer purchase at their own risk even though they acknowledge that the condition report was made in error. They eventually refunded a portion of the overall total cost but I am left a few hundred dollars short due to their error. Do not trust this place!
Response: Mr. Nguyen, We understand your concern and apologize for your negative experience. We have sought to record the changes in the condition of this piece after its initial manufacture as diligently as possible; however, as stated in our terms, condition reports are statements of opinion and not representations or warranties. Oakridge Auction Gallery bears no responsibility for any error or omission. Mr. Nguyen reached out to us on November 3rd via phone and email on the issue. On November 4th, Mr. Nguyen emailed us the total costs of reimbursement. We agreed on the problem at hand and resolved the issue as quickly as possible. Mr. Nguyen was then reimbursed on November 4th. The uncovered costs were due to shipping, costs associated with the shipping and handling of an item are the responsibility of the purchaser. Oakridge Auction Gallery takes pride in providing the utmost quality of service, timely communication, and professionalism. We welcome and encourage insight into all customer experiences at Oakridge Auction Gallery.
Barbara Bracebridge
Barbara Bracebridge: Keith has arrived promptly at the appointed time. He is very thorough in examining items and gives good estimates of what they might sell for. He emails descriptions of the items prior to the auction date. Then he emails verification of items sold. A check for the total amount is sent later. I am pleased with what he has been able to sell items for that my children do not want.
Rania Peet
Rania Peet: Keith and everyone at Oakridge were absolutely wonderful. They did so much work for us and were able to auction off everything we had! 10/10
chuck cowperthwaite
chuck cowperthwaite: BUYERS BEWARE. This auction house is horrible to deal with. They purposely hide and to not disclose damage to items. They offer mainly reproductions with totally made up and fabricated provenance to deceive buyers. They are crooks in sheep’s clothing trying to pretend to be a legitimate estate auction. I would recommend avoiding buying anything from these despicable individuals.
Dr. Anderson
Dr. Anderson: This auction house is disreputable at best. I won a bid through Live Auctioneer. The bid was placed early and there were constant repeated warnings that the lot was about to close. The next day the auction house cancelled the sale with a ridiculous story that they failed to register the absentee bidder and the lot must be awarded there. I have bought hundreds of items from auctions around the world and have never encountered such disrepute or sly business practice. BUYER BEWARE
Response: In the event of a clerking discrepancy for a floor, online, telephone, or absentee bidder it is up to the discretion of the auctioneer to decide who wins the lot. We understand the inconvenience and are working diligently to always improve to minimize errors during auction day
JJ Antique
JJ Antique: This auction house has two bosses with Chinese background. They are not really care your items. They brought some thing from mainland China or Hongkong and then auction here. So auction is well their control and management. You send anything, they figure out a number to play. You feel be foolish.

Philosophical S
Philosophical S: Oakridge is a professional outfit and is run a cut above surrounding competitors. I have been to others in the area and they seem disorganized. Oakridge is clean, upscale, and friendly.
