Frank Milwee Antiques: what do users think?
David Gordon
David Gordon: Frank has an exceptional knowledge of silver and antiques. He helped me value several family items. Frank is a true professional in his field and clearly a person of great integrity. Moreover, his store is packed with fascinating items and is well worth exploring.
Diana D
Diana D: I had an excellent experience with Frank! He was beyond helpful and informative! I had a rough idea of what I wanted but he helped me hone in to the perfect gift for my picky brother! I am a satisfied customer!!
Nate Ivey
Nate Ivey: Easily the best antique store in Washington. Frank is a scholar and a gentleman. He possesses a natural curiosity and enthusiasm for beauty. By all means, if you are traveling to DC, put this shop on your list of must visit places!
Sandor Farkas
Sandor Farkas: Perhaps the best antique store in the Washington D.C. area, Frank Milwee has an excellent sense of design and taste for quality. His prices are fair, which is a stark contrast to many other shops in the area. This is a real antique shop -- not one of the trendy places that sells overpriced vintage junk. On top of that, he is committed to making antiques accessible for everyone, and permits customers (including children) to handle everything.
Anna J
Anna J: Beautiful store! Frank is a charming man with many rich stories to share.
Ram C
Ram C: The owner is a true professional with great knowledge of silver items and antiques. He loves to chat and share his knowledge and not at all pushing you to buy.
Renee Butterfield

GoodWood: what do users think?
Olivia K
Olivia K: Quick service, unique atmosphere, reliable stock of small gifts, and hit-or-miss selection of art and furniture! I agree with some reviewers that the staff seemed uppety and perhaps too good to welcome customers.
Yarden Golan
Yarden Golan: I rarely give reviews. But GoodWood is hands down the best vintage furniture store in the area. Above their great items, they have the most amazing costumer service iv’e encountered. They will go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied. Highly recommended!
Natalie
Natalie: While the selection is solidly 4+ star, the customer service is anything but. I concur with the reviewer who said the staff barely acknowledged their existence. Once the staff had deigned to answer my question, the two ladies behind the counter gave me that once-over, up-and-down glance before sneering and going back to talking to each other. I’m just… speechless. On principle, I won’t give my money to adults who behave like high school “mean girls.” It’s a shame, since I used to visit this store 10 years ago when I first moved to DC and looked forward to one day having my own rowhouse to furnish. Now that I do, I won’t be shopping here.
Kye Lippold
Kye Lippold: Excellent selection, helpful staff, and good delivery policies.
Caroline Barna
Caroline Barna: I LOVE this shop. Always such an amazing mix of beautiful furniture and clothing. And the prices are so affordable for how unique and special the items are. I hope you guys reopen soon! I’ll be there (in a mask)!
Ricky Ocampo
Ricky Ocampo: Love the items that they carry here, but I’ve found the staff to be rather unfriendly. I’ve stopped by a few times over the last few weeks and not once has an employee said “hi” to me or acknowledged my existence.

Sylvia McDonough
Sylvia McDonough: After a tree crushed our house and a little19th century wooden bank, I took it to Capital Antiques to be fixed. I did not anticipate that it would ever be the same. I could not believe the wonderful repair job. Not only were the broken parts repaired and the missing pieces replaced a new key had been made and the locking mechanism worked better than before. The work was well worth the price.

Mom N' Pop Antiques: what do users think?
Glenn Abel
Glenn Abel: Great deals, great owner! Really enjoyed visiting with Bill and bought two fun items I saw in the window when I wandered by before opening time, then I walked back to the store soon after opening so I could get my mitts on them. Super excited about the 1940s era perfect working condition 8 mm film projector! I can finally show old family silent movies from the 1970s for which the projector has long been lost! I told Mom I have a big surprise for her! Bill was very attentive in showing me how it, and the other items I was interested in, worked and making them attractive for purchase, and offered me great deals - the store was impressively clean too - Bill can make antiques look brand new! Thanks for the fun experience, Bill!
Briana Wojcik
Briana Wojcik: Store full of great finds! Got a nice carved wood art piece for $21 after the very kind owner gave me a first-timers discount. It is obvious that he knows a lot about antiquing and remembers the location of everything in the shop! Things are reasonably priced though and he is very fair. Everything is in good shape, and I will be heading back to pick up pieces more my apartment!
Natalie
Natalie: This is my go-to place for vintage and antique furniture in the DC area. The owner is a gem - he is the absolute nicest person and his customer service makes it feel like you’ve stepped back in time because he is an expert about his stock and will take the time to help you find the perfect item. Every time I’ve visited, I’ve found something wonderful and unexpected. Another thing I appreciate about this store is that the prices - including for delivery - are very reasonable, especially for DC. It is almost singlehandedly furnishing my home with unique and sustainable items that I love and that have already proven they can stand the test of time. I can’t recommend this store more highly!
Jenna Sherman
Jenna Sherman: I am so lucky to live right by Mom & Pop. Every time I go in I find something interesting and new and for a WONDERFUL price because the owner is so kind and really just wants to make everyone happy. Such a staple of the community with such beautiful goods!
Velvet M
Velvet M: Loved this little antique/ curio shop! My daughter and I had a ball looking at the odd things Mr. Sims had for sale. We bought quite a few interesting little knick·knacks. Now, I’m in the search for a console table so I’m headed back to Mom-N-Pops! Btw Mr. Sims is so friendly and a pleasing gentleman.
Mon Oubliette
Mon Oubliette: So, this is my favorite antique spot in the entire Washington, Maryland, Northern Virginia area. Why? The owner and the selection. Somehow, like freakin’ magic, this guy charms me into buying more furniture than my wife and I intended to buy (if we even intended to buy anything at all!). He’s a national treasure and we look forward to seeing him every time. And, while the selection is completely random, they always seem to have at least one thing I can’t live without. Prices are good too. Check this place out. Note: This is an especially excellent antique shop for someone that knows how to do a little sanding, touch-up/wood stain work. Many really handsome pieces show their age and, if you can see through the nicks and tiny blemishes, there are some fantastic finds here.
Jenifer Thompson
Jenifer Thompson: Owner, Bill super nice and thoughtful. Helped me dig around his store once he knew what I was looking for. Great prices.

Gretchen Wallisch
Gretchen Wallisch: Pillar & Post has some of the most beautiful and unique antique pieces I have seen in DC. They have all sorts of beautiful new items too. Everything in the shop is tasteful and thoughtfully curated. The owner and staff at Pillar & Post provide exceptional customer service. I had a lot of questions about different pieces at the shop and they went above & beyond to answer every one!
Response: Thank you so much and we are so thrilled you are pleased with your purchase!
Vandana Puri
Vandana Puri: Loved this store! I got the perfect hostess gift from here. The owner seems to have worked hard to curate it- since every item seems so unique and well thought of ! And ieverything being British provides an added charm. Super friendly staff too, overall a great experience!
Response: Thank you so much for the review! We are so thrilled that you enjoyed your shopping experience and hope you will come back to visit soon!
Mike Gardner
Mike Gardner: I just made a phonecall to this store a few minutes ago to simply inquire about english antiques. The gentleman on the phone was rude, unhelpful and absolutely condescending. It turns out he was not a full-time employee, just someone the store owner needed to watch the shop unexpectedly while she was out. I was, however quite impressed with the way Daphna quickly contacted me to share her concern about my experience and to reiterate how important personal, insightful and positive experiences are to a boutique shop. When a business owner handles a situation like this, it speaks volumes about how they run the business as a whole. We will look forward to supporting Pillar and Post in the future and enjoying their high quality imported treasures!
Response: Dear Mike, I am so sorry that you felt disrespected. Absolutely customer service is a benchmark of the shop, and we truly regret that you did not have a positive experience when you called. We will continue to strive to make sure all of our clients are treated with the utmost courtesy. I also apologize that we do not buy or assess antiques which I understand was the substance of your call. We have a policy to only purchase from vetted dealers in England on our buying trips. I would recommend that you try local auction houses or chairish and other websites that could be helpful to you to have your pieces appraised. Best, Pillar & Post
abe peled
abe peled: A tastefully laid out shop featuring a selection of mostly British antique furniture and accessories, integrated with leading current British brands of home decor, and modern American lighting, all accented with an eclectic mix of old paintings and prints, as well modern British painters.
Nigel Smith
Nigel Smith: Being mostly English, I feel I can confidently say that this shop has got the essence of the country to a tee.interesting curios which are hand-picked directly from the UK with discerning taste. The staff enthusiasm and knowledge about their wares cannot be equaled!
Response: Thank you so much for your kind review!

Miss Pixie's: what do users think?
Angus Bennion
Angus Bennion: This store is great! Lots of fun products.
Erin Wagner
Erin Wagner: I’ve gotten so many high quality items from Miss Pixie’s over the last several years, but today I’m finally leaving the five star review they’ve always deserved! We had scheduled a delivery for them to bring a table we purchased, and Miss Pixie herself rolled up in a pickup truck this morning right on time. It turns out the delivery drivers were stuck in an elevator, but somehow that didn’t stop them at all! We gave her a hand and she didn’t charge us the usual delivery fee to make up for the trouble (what trouble?!). We look forward to continuing to shop at Miss Pixie’s as we furnish our home.
India Lindsay
India Lindsay: Store has a variety of furniture, art, and random decorations. Everything is laid out artistically while still being easy to walk around. Majority of items are on the pricier side, though you can find a few steals. I snagged a painted medium-sized pot hand painted in Italy for $12.
Jace Warble
Jace Warble: Miss Pixies is a lovely little shop with beautiful pieces, helpful and knowledgeable staff, and price that matches quality. Definitely worth stopping by!
Amy Clerkin
Amy Clerkin: Nicely curated selection of items at reasonable prices. Owner is very responsive to any concerns. We love our vintage couch
MrIrali
MrIrali: One of the cutest boutique home goods stores in DC. And reasonably priced too
Brittney Valcin
Brittney Valcin: I absolutely LOVE Miss Pixie’s!! My mother has raved about this place for a long time and I finally had the pleasure of stopping by. They have a wide variety of things for every taste. So much character! I love to buy random things lol. So of course I bought a few things 🤣. One store that is true to “if you love, BUY IT! It may not be there tomorrow!” I WILL BE BACK
Alexandra Goodman
Alexandra Goodman: Lovely antique store with some really nice pieces. Prices for some of the larger items were reasonable, but pricing was kind of all over the place. Obvious sets of items (chairs, side tables, glasses, etc.) were priced individually which was weird for an antique store. Other pieces were priced way too high, like $95 for an IKEA mirror or $250 for a simple basic wooden console table (which would have been $50 anywhere else but DC). Overall, I enjoyed this store and walking around inside, but I probably won’t buy here due to the pricing.

Clint glenn
Clint glenn: I love Oushak rugs and was delighted to find them so close to home in Washington, DC. I bought two antique rugs for my house and really love how they look and feel. Even the new rug smell is not as noticeable as some other types of rugs I have previously purchased.
Jacob Martin
Jacob Martin: DLB Antique & Vintage Rugs has the best rugs selection in Washington, DC. They have Moroccan rugs, modern rugs, antique oriental rugs, and Persian Carpet among others. I bought a Tabriz rug and a mid century modern rug for different rooms in my house and love them..

Lee Blackwood (the Tasteful Traveler): Great place to look for furniture and other home furnishings and decor. I saw several things that I would come back for, and ideas for wedding presents as well. Make sure you have enough time to spend wondering and exploring all of their rooms. Handy parking right out front, But be sure to feed the meter.
Tracy Needham
Tracy Needham: I LOVE this place! I usually go to Consignment upstairs. I go on a regular basis just to have a look. I have purchased some beautiful items, reasonably priced. They have everything from decorative to practical. Staff at Consignment are very helpful. I sometimes go to the auction previews, but those items tend to be out of my price range. Go upstairs and spend some time really looking. You might find something for yourself or a gift for someone else!
