Jason S: Google shows 24 hours. Their posted sign on the door says they are open until 11 pm. I show up at 1038 PM and the door is locked and the cashier refuses to let me in because HE decided he didn't want to stay open until 11 pm. This is not a Mom and Pop store which can change their hours on a whim. This is 7-11 in downtown Washington DC and they are awful. This is extremely common in DC, as I always get some sort of excuse from the employees why they won't sell lottery tickets anymore or why they close early, etc. I'm not sure if 7-11 is corporate or they are franchises but whomever manages the NW DC stores has really been terrible. The only thing that is consistent is don't plan on going to 711 after sundown and expect it to be open or for you to be able to purchase everything they offer. Lottery and food are the first to go.

John Web: Dumpy, low stock, and definitely not open 23 hours a day. I have been in DC for ten days now and staying around the corner. On four of those days I have either needed something between 11:00 pm and 1:00 a.m. or I’ve walked by the store during those hours. Each and every time a hand-drawn sign says they’re close and the door is locked. Additionally, I have been in the store when they decided to be open. As I said above, it’s dumpy and their selection is lacking, even by 7-11 standards.

Jay Hiryu: Clearly this sign says 11pm this person is serving customers with 4 other individuals outside waiting at 10:25 pm with the doors locked and refusal of service. If you can avoid this 7-Eleven do so and walk to Wawa on 19th and L.

Jane Doee: The hours say 24 hours but, when I got there at 6:40 am the door was locked. I had to be to work at 7 and wanted something for my lunch . I stood there for 10 mins, knocked and no one came to the door. I had to leave because I was going to be late for work. The managers need to make sure there employees comply with the business hours

Rosealinda: If I could choose zero stars, it would better describe my experience!! I bought a Big Gulp & a pack of B&M's. The B&M's were sealed, turns out resealed, as there were 4 vice 5 cigars in the package!! VERY DECEPTIVE!! I was charged more than 3 x's the price!! I should have taken the reviews more seriously!!

Stephen Lord: This location is the WORST. They had a change of staff sometime during the shutdown due to COVID and the place is horrible. The specialty coffee machine works about 50% of the time, the staff always gets my orders wrong. I ordered a stick of boneless wings and the cashier charged me $8.00 and I had to point it out to them. I am so sick of this location and I will go find another one as this place sucks a$$. I can get better service from a corpse then these morons.

Isaac M: My hot coffee had a cockroach in it, I noticed as I was starring. I had to pour it in the sink. Bought bottled Starbucks chilled coffee instead.

Kat Evans: Super overpriced for everything vs other 7-Elevens, but this is sort of the norm around here and they kinda have a captive audience since there's not much else within a reasonable walking distance when it comes to 24 hour convenience stores, and it's one of the only places I've found to buy cigarettes around here (but they were so freakin expensive that if you're a smoker and your pack is running low you should really buy them BEFORE you come over this way)

L. Harris: I will never give my money to this location again. The owner or manager is very rude and blows you off if he is busy. They had a promotion for buy one and get for $1 on chips( which ends on 8/13/19 today). They don't even honor there own sale. So, when I question the total price, I was told he don't know why the cash register ring up the price and you have pick better item. He is the one who ringing up the items. Plus, the coffee is always stale/old and it never hot. 7-Eleven coffee use to be good, fresh and hot.

LaAngel Hartman: The owner Jimmy is extremely rude. I asked for the general managers contact information and he told me “I am the owner there is no one above me, so what do you want ‘’? A lady knocked over a large amount of coffee cups and he picked them up from the floor and stacked them back up as if they were new I will not be returning to this location.

Jocy Yui: I had a lot of stuff in my hand and they couldn't even offer to give me a bag when I was paying and waited after I finished just to find out they charge 5¢. I could've paid for the 5¢ bag when he was ringing everything up especially since I paid with card and I didn't carry any cash with me. Put a sign up or give people a heads up first! Now I have to try & order from one that's actually open AND probably pay a delivery fee cause the one that's LITERALLY around the corner decided to not live up to the hours they promote!!!!

Geoffrey Ryskamp: The main issue at this seven eleven is their small selection of toquitos relative to other locations. Besides that, friendly and dependable staff work here. It's not expansive but gets the job done if you need a snack and a pop.

Peanut The Villian: The workers are rude and doesn't follow the 7 eleven guidelines also makes up their own prices and customer service is terrible the food was old and the coffee is always cold, and they treat everyone who is not black the best and treat people of color like trash.

M. Shilandar (Meta): I just walked downstairs (I live here) to this 7 eleven. The lady on staff told me go away. When I asked are you open, she said "We are CLOSED." When I said I thought you were 24/7, she said "fine ok what do you want?" But I'm not shopping there after being told you're closed. Inform your staff. Are you 24/7, or are you not? Day staff says yes, night staff says no.

Rori B: I live in the Apt building attached to this store, tonight (@8pm) I experienced yet another HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE AT THIS STORE. Both cashiers yelled at me when I asked, why, in the middle of my transaction did one cashier, answer the telephone and walk away from the counter. My previous experiences have not been much better, they are RUDE AND BELLIGERENT TO WOMEN. I WILL NEVER SUBJECT MYSELF TO THIS KIND OF SERVICE AGAIN!!!!!!!!! Roy Blumenfeld: It's a good 7/11 in a great location. I've never had a problem with the staff. Just be wary that some of the hot food can sit a little longer than it should. An eye test is necessary before purchasing from that section.

Cameron Prince: I have been to this 7-11 a few times. I have found it tolerable at best until today. I was accused for stealing even though I was no where near the aisle to obtain that product. (IN this case, Nesquik Protein Plus Milk) and they don't sell it at that 7-11 store. I understand, retail managers need to be vigilant on theft but this was ridiculous. I explained I purchased the milk from another 7-11 prior but the retail person was rude. And he had the audacity to ask if I wanted to purchase something afterwards. Just no. I'm not giving a cent after accusing me of something I didn't do!

The Christmas Collective: Management made a false shoplifting allegation, even called the police, before having to apologize to the customer for threatening to have them arrested. That seems to be a pattern. The store is disorganized, service is slow, and the merchandise selection is poor. I will not return and cannot recommend anyone patronize this store.

didi green: .... regular stop in on the way home. .checking out the discount movies ...my son went to the other aisle to grab candy... the attendant.. mopping the floor ..grabbed the candy from my son's hand and accused him of stealing.. ?! .... Heath: A 7-eleven that closes for hours at a time??? Disappointing.The times I have gone while open, the prepared food was below average.

I was very pleased with the service I received and his patience in dealing with my lack of current knowledge of the multitude of new systems. Chris Click: Its a 7-Eleven that rides the mediocrity line. There are nice, there are worse. I like 2 of the younger guys that work there as they seem fast and efficient with the customers. Sometimes the wait is longer than I care for (I stop in on my way to work) and they will only have one cashier up front (irritating). Could be that since I got use to a corporate store in Dallas (where headquarters is located) I was expecting something more like the old location I frequented.

D G: So the employees in 7/11 by NOMA found it necessary to follow me and my 3 friends around the store as we looked for graham crackers. One of them noticed someone (im thinking a manager) staring at us, and i noticed he'd been "adjusting" a sign for a solid 5 minutes while we stood there. We moved into another aisle, suddenly he had to check the donuts in the other aisle, we go back to the other one, he goes back to checking the sign. Staring. We decide to leave and as we're leaving , one of my friends is drinking her Arizona (That she walked in with. I bought it along with 3 others 30 minutes earlier AT THAT SAME 7/11 🙄🙄) and we're stopped by a man behind the counter. "Excuse me, ma'am, you have to pay for that." She calmly tells him that she walked in with it. He starts telling her, "No..no no you have to pay." So I step in and im like "I came in earlier and bought 4 of these. She still has hers, she came in with that, i bought it earlier." So he's STILL saying we have to pay for it and telling my IM wrong, that i DIDNT walk my ass out of the Dominos in there earlier, awkwardly carry 4 cans to the damned counter, pay, and awkwardly carry all 4 BACK to the Dominos. The dude following us earlier is telling him to stop, but he's still arguing to I bring the almost EMPTY can to him (of course he didnt take it) and told him he can check their logs AND cameras because i definitely already came in. Its one thing to be racially profiled by someone literally the same shade as you, but to accuse us of stealing and then ARGUE about it is what pissed me off. Im never taking my ass in there again, I'll walk my ass to CVS before I deal with them again. Note that we DID NOT look like school kids either! The kids around there wear UNIFORM, two of my friends were in their Muslim garb, the other and I were wearing (kind of short bc it was hot) dresses 🙄🙄

Adrian Shelton: Definitely not like most of the better 7-Eleven's I've been to. Plus there's way too many people loitering around this location demanding if you can "give them a piece of your breakfast sandwich," "Can I get some money?!" and "Can you buy me something to eat???"

Jake Strang: Employees are not wearing masks, in violation of the DC Covid mandates. One employee walked within a foot of a customer before shouting jokes across the store at another. Massive health risk

Ryan B: When they first opened, they didn't know how to do prepaid cards; it took me 15 minutes to get my $100 back from them when the reload didn't work. And then, just now, I go in and buy a bottle of water, a pack of cigarettes, and a hot dog. The total came to 14.46. I paid $15 and received $.45 back. I fix up my hotdog and leave, stand outside to pack and light a cigarette. As I walk away, someone who wasn't even at the register starts yelling for me outside claiming I stole something. I didn't. That was messed up. Their customer service and attitude towards business is certainly skewed. Their service has gotten worse, not better, since they opened. Their are two other stores equidistant from this one that makes it worth the extra walk togoto them. DON'T GO HERE.

Henry Nwobi: I confirmed 3 rewards (all 1/4 hot dogs). I showed the employee each time I did so and displayed all three rewards on the screen at the same time. The male employee at first refused to acknowledge the reward included quarter pound hotdogs, dispite it clearly saying 1/4 hotdogs first. I point to it, he takes my phone and looks at it, plays around with it, confused or something, taps it a fourth time and then processes my order. He reduced my balance by 1200 points and would not give me the fourth hot dog that he confirmed without my consent. He became belligerent when I asked him to and explained what he had done. The reviews are pretty spot on about this place.

Yosef Negasi: Racist owner. He locked everyone out of his store as "punishment" for giving change/food to needy persons outside. Told us homeless people should work for a living, not asking for change. Pure scum.

Elisha Bridges: The Hispanic manager is very rude. I patronize this store almost everyday or when I'm in Mt. Pleasant and she have the nerve to call the police on me because she thought I stolen a juice. I walked in with my juice and I was there to buy some cookies. She is very rude and also be having the Ethiopian workers follow me. They know I pay cash or with my card. But I can say when the black guys that work in the evening they never give me any problems and plus they are very respectful. So I can say the morning crew is awful.

Adriano Gomes: I don’t understand why this store has only 2.5 stars I want to give it five stars. I bounce from three 7-Eleven stores close to my home. One in Mount Pleasant the other one on 14th and Columbia Rd., Northwest and the third one down 14th St. by Spring Road. Out of this 32 of them are really nice. The third one down 14th St. in Spring Rhode is good, but not as pleasant as the other two. For this review I must mention one guy who is extra nice every time. Not only with me of course but with everyone I see him interacting with. His name is Carlos. The one with glasses. Every single time I go there he never fails to greet me enthusiastically. He always goes that extra mile to make sure I’ve got everything I needed and wash well taken care of. This is the kind of a attitude missing retail stores in America. That’s just my opinion. Jia Williams: The guy who worked the night shift today was extremely unprofessional. He told me I couldn’t use apple pay even though I’d used it earlier in the day AT THE SAME LOCATION. When I asked him to just try it he accused me of trying to get free stuff by pretending I had money on my phone. I proceeded to show him my apple pay (which shows the balance) and he just shrugged and stood there saying nothing. Not only that he was on the phone with someone the whole time so I could barely tell when he was addressing me and when he was talking to them. Next time I’ll just walk the extra .3 miles to go to the next closest location maybe they’ll be better.

Jim P.: Bravo to 7-Eleven for rising to the challenge presented by the recent arrival of Wawa down the block with more than simply a facelift. From the coffee bar and Slurpee and soda machines to the self-serve hot foods, this 7-Eleven has really presented the neighborhood with a great alternative to Wawa. Additionally, the employees seem to have undergone extensive customer service oriented training to present a friendly and helpful face to what was (frankly) a not very welcoming place.

Bob Griffin: Cool 7-Eleven. This is the most updated and modern store I've ever seen. Great tacos from Laredo Taco. This is a convenience store with high end products and everyday products and the tacos are made fresh! True taco joint, they hand roll the tortillas right on the spot!

M B: Modern 7/11 with an excellent selection of merchandise and cleanness. They have a taco restaurant inside with table in and out. I order there taco plate with rice and beans. Good food the bad things some of the employees where not knowledge of Mexican food, slow at the check out and charge me the wrong price. Overall good food and they are open 24 hours.

Gustavo Lopez: Opened Feb. 2020. Its the best 7-Eleven store I have ever seen. It has a very good curated selection of items with everything you would expect (Chips, Soda, Donuts, Slurpees, etc.) and a number of higher end items you would not expect (high end olive oil, a clothing brush, etc.). It also has a co-located Tex-Mex Taco restaurant and a Coffee / Kombucha bar.

Scott Matus: This store looks like an entire rebrand, certainly impressive visually. It’s basically a convenience store combined with a mexican food counter. They have your 711 basics like taquitos and big gulps, but they also have everything from medications to high-end pasta sauce.

Joseph Jacobs: Cool 7 eleven, different than the ones I know from other states. I absolutely loved the fact your coffee gets brewed on the spot. No pizza though, not baked at least.

Hyacintiana Alston: Yesterday On 4/18/2022 I went to my neighborhood 7-eleven. I purchased $13+ of products. Yesterday after returning from the store I didn’t get to eat the things i purchased including a EXTRA LARGE CUP of Ice. I went to use the ice yesterday and there was a bug stuck at the bottom in the ice pieces. I walked back to the store to just make the store aware so that won’t happened to anyone. The manager and her male employee began to be very rude and nasty. She began to call me a liar talking bout she need the receipt meanwhile I purchased the items using my Apple Pay that showed the location, time and date of the purchase. Also, while entering the store i noticed two more bugs dead on the Signage of the window as you walk in the store. The lady manager basically tried to argue as well that the bugs didn’t come from the store and like i explained to her, It’s hard for me to believe that because As soon as you walk in the store there two dead bugs on the inside window of the store. She was very rude and nasty about the whole situation. I originally went in to just inform the store so they can clean it because if i had never peeped the bug and drunk out the cup of ice, I or someone in the future could of got sick which could of ended in a lawsuit for the company.

Pixie Reign: The managers are rude. Go to the one next to the DC Mini Mart located near Kaywood apartments. Or better yet go to the DC Mini Mart. Much better customer service. This site is also poorly stocked a lot of expired goods and the hot foods are always burnt.

E.C.: Worse 711 I’ve ever been to. They told me that they didn’t have any matches and barely had any medications there as well. The employees there were very rude and unprofessional. A young female employee there had an attitude with me and another customer as well for no reason. She rolled her eyes while speaking to this young man who was politely asking her a question. It is very obvious they are discriminating against people of color even though they are also people of color. They were very biased in the way they treated us compared to the other customers. Stay away from this 711!!! I’ll never be coming back here.

Demi Oliver: They were racist against an AA woman and myself when we attempted to get our children free slurpees on 7/11/19. They turned off the machine and we could not fill our cups, we eventually were able to fill them about half. The staff is racist and rude. Yes they are also people of color but he specifically was rude to the woman in front of me and I felt bad for her to have to endure that in front of her children. I will never go there again. I’m considering boycotting 7/11 in general due to the experience.

Carl Barr Jr: I am at the store right now. There is a cockroach crawling around the around the coffee and soda area.. They're out of decaf and I asked if they could make more. They said they only make it in the morning and the container is empty I asked if they could please make more and they said no they only make it in the morning. It boils down to them being cheap because they probably don't sell very much decaf and they didn't want to make it additionally they made no effort to kill the cockroach and let it continue to run around

Dustizle Hansome: Given the high customer throughput of this fine establishment, you'd expect it to be way worse in terms of available inventory and orderliness/cleanliness. This is not due to mere coincidence, but the thankless efforts of a diligent, kind staff. Don't get me wrong, they'll quickly handle any of the craziness the street sends in their door. The difference is they'll just do it in an efficient, yet endearing manner that keeps me coming back. Also, whatever your late-night menu choice may be, the donuts are usually on point, especially the chocolate bars.

Nidia Leak: Beware of this 7-Eleven. They‘re known to overcharge you on a daily basis. I know this from personal experience. You know they overcharged you when they "claim" they're unable to give you a receipt. They may say that the machine is down. Then they claim they can't pull the transaction up after 3 transactions. I'm not sure how true this is, but I never have this problem from any store in my area, but this one. It's unfortunate that they continue to scam and cheat the loyal ones. Scratch that, it horrible that they scam and cheat ANYONE. Please be careful and always watch them ring your stuff up.

Manny Israel: Zero Stars... horrible service, they tried to sell me stale pizza that was 8 hours old I complained and the guy working was like take or leave it. Bro 711 pizza is low quality as it is if I want a fresh slice at 2 am is because I saw the same slices sitting there 8 hours earlier you should do your due diligence to accommodate the consumer.

Michael Deville: The people there are cool, but I'm starting to get a little suspicious about whether or not I'm being overcharged... they work fast, but fail to give you a receipt after your purchases... I shouldn't have to ask for a receipt, that should be automatic. Because I can't prove my suspicion I'm going to stand clear from this place or any other 7-eleven that doesn't give me my receipt after my purchases without me asking for a receipt

Emanuel C: I have gone to that location several times and that store has some real issues to work out. 1. Panhandling is rampant on their property. The store management ignores the issue. One time I was there recently and was being harassed in the parking lot by someone who acted destitute for money. Yet, this individual was in possession of 6 tall cans of Colt 45 and a carton of cigarettes. If this individual has enough money to purchase tobacco and alcohol. Then they have enough money for food. 2. On another occasion, there was a street person sleeping in the store at the very end of the aisle where the coffee was. The employee assisting the store manager knew he was right there and did nothing. I even asked the manager respectfully if sleeping was allowed inside your store. The store manager said NO and acted like he was not aware when he knew full well what was going on. The manager pretended to take my concerns seriously and let that individual sleep on the premises. Allowing this behavior to run rampant is not just a safety concern. It also sends a message that the people who own this franchise don't care. People have a right to feel safe when conducting business on their premises.

Crew Prints: Legit the worst 7/11 I've ever been to. The 2 ladies didn't speak English and overcharged me for my food. I asked them to honor the 2 pizza for 10$ deal and they fought me over this simple thing. I had to show them their own sign that advertised the deal on their wall. To add insult to injury, they went on to hide the sign after. They should lose their franchise tag. PS. My only regret is that I couldn't give them a 0 star rating.

There was three ladies working and they were just so rude and charged us for three coffees when we only had one (we gave her a $10 bill and only returned $4 to us) We asked for a receipt and the lady behind the register takes it from the printer and crumbles it up (not giving us our reciept). We continued to wait for our receipt but got our rightful change back. Overall terrible service. Never again

Sony Enix: This is definitely the best 7 eleven I've been to thus far. Customer Service is extremely what I like to call "A1", excellent! The workers there are friendly and hardworking. They just had to put a 7-Eleven that's extremely convenient to where I am, that has super awesome workers, never a time where they are out of stock!!! Perf! God is good!!!

S: Ms. Elizabeth Asfaw, the manager at this 7-11 location, is a very kind person. I have been looking for years for a product, a Reese's ice cream, that none of the managers at my local grocery stores, Giant Food, Safeway, nor Harris Teeter, have been able to order. It is impossible to find this product. Ms. Asfaw was able to order this product for me. Where no other manager had been able to help to find this product over the years, Ms. Asfaw found a way to get the product. Ms. Asfaw clearly cares about other people and is a very genuine person. I appreciate very much how she went out of her way to help me out. Ms. Asfaw deserves the highest praise.

Blehbo Boogins: I know all 7-Elevens are contractually obligated to be miserable experiences but this location really outdoes itself. From persistently sticky floors to unsavory customers to staff that are always on their phones and never at their post, you only come here when you have no other choice. Occasionally there will be the one staff member (always in the morning/afternoon) who will competently do their job but it's always telling that they turnover and disappear months later. At least it's decently stocked.

iMove Stuff: Do not buy fruit here. EVER. I purchased a fruit medley, i.e. melons, apples, etc. The first box I discovered had mold, so I had to walk back and exchange. No problem. The replacement wasn't good, it seems that their refrigeration procedure is not up to par. The melons were sour and mushy. Not at all worth the $4.99 I paid. Out of sheer frustration, I just counted my losses and vowed to never purchase fruit from them... EVER. Also, be careful there's a homeless man that comes in the mornings and simply touches everything. Which wouldn't be too alarming except I witnessed him urinate right outside the establishment and then come in the store and touch everything. Sadly enough, the employees did absolutely nothing to address this issue.

Chundy Chang: 7-Elevens will always be a slightly uncomfortable experience and this store is no exception- it's probably one of the least well-maintained stores in the city. The entrance is also a frequent hangout spot for the homeless, some of who leave you alone but others who will harass you. That said, its connection to Mitchell Hall makes it a decent convenience spot for students in the area and there are usually one or two decent workers who will process you through quickly.

Sam: I had a horrible experience with a staff member last night who came off as extremely racist!!...I ask the man at the register for change after using the atm, of course he made up an excuse as to why I couldn’t get change! I told him I’ll just buy something to get the exact cash back and he immediately started to get hostile and yell before I could finish my statement! After I requested cash back he laid the money on the counter rather then hand it directly in my hand. I was the only person this happened to!.I also happen to be the only black customer!...Everyone else was treated nicely and was handed their change in their hand so why couldn’t I get the same common courtesy??

I then took my numbers (I play the same ones every month) and at that time she had already played a game for me so I explained to her that I played my numbers for 4 weeks every time. She refused to sell them to me because I did not want to buy the random numbers she chose for me, so I had to leave without been able to play. Very disappointing and very poor customer service.

After I stated I was trying to get the coconut juice noticeably behind the glass fridge door he said “we don’t see that” The product was literally and visibly behind him. After he said they didn’t sell it and told me to go next store… I went out to look…next store is a liquor store, that sells liquor. Only liquor. I actually really like Seven 11 and go there every day, it’s interesting to me that they turn away their own business because of laziness.

Navi DeGo: After reading the reviews, I still gave this place a chance but, it was locked up before 10:30 pm. A number of people tried to go inside but failed to do so because the doors were locked. The employee (in an orange shirt) stood behind the counter while consuming a snack. I get everyone needs a break but Geesh, post a sign on the door or something. Thankfully, the CVS across the street honors it’s posted hours and were able to gain our business.

I know 7-Eleven is cheaper than most of the other small shops, but come on now just trifling. Eat here if you want to, you might have a surprise in your coffee or hotdogs.
