the DINER: what do users think?

Regina Hogan: Willy at The Diner was so awesome! Excellent customer service. The fish tacos and cherry blossom shake were amazing! Got a table outside in the shade. Very satisfied, will definitely be back!

Megan Bennett: Went to this place while visiting DC with my boyfriend. The food was amazing and the service was even better! Our waitress (wish I could remember her name) was awesome and very accommodating. Will definitely visit again when I’m in DC!

Pandora White: It was amazing. I went at a crowded time on a Saturday. I managed to snag a seat at the bar. The portions are nice. The price is amazing. The service fast. I recommend this.

Des KF: On the way into DC my boyfriend and I wanted to stop at this spot for lunch. When we arrived it took a little time to find parking. When we walked in they told us we can sit anywhere. Emmanuel was our server and he was good. We started with cocktails and I got the Bonecrusher and it was tasty. For my meal I got the chicken sandwich and it was so good! The aoli was very tasty that they added. My boyfriend got the Diner Royale and he enjoyed his meal. The bill came to about $52. We enjoyed and would return.

Levnon: Not a bad place to grab a bite. They got a good selection for breakfast/brunch/lunch. Quality is good, and so is the service.

Paula Ramirez: This place never disappoints me! The food is so delicious! I ordered the Ponderosa omelette and it was just perfect! We ordered the migas and wow so delicious! We also ordered a burger and it was cooked to perfection! If you want to enjoy great food at a reasonable price here in DC you def need to stop by the Diner!

Barb O: Just terrific! Exactly what you look for in a diner… quick service, (thank you Tamika!) delicious and plentiful food at a good price, friendly staff.

Jason Adams: Friendly service, the bartenders and wait staff were amazing. Food was great but the drinks were the best. Prices were very reasonable. I recommend this place to anyone.

Evie Cheatham: My very favorite bar in the city. Hosts a RPDR viewing party and has drag shows on the weekends. Service is phenomenal and there’s a very cute patio!

David Cogossi: Been a couple times during our week visit. Dinner, appetizers another time and even brunch one day all were cooked to perfection. their food is picture perfect they taste great. The staff is cute and fun and the place to self has a great atmosphere.

Darryl Schmidt: Great food, good drinks. Lots of sailors.Busy place but we were seated quickly. Staff was friendly and courteous. Grilled cheese could have used some mayo for bread that thick. All in all, a great place for a bite and a drink.

Kevin Gowen: This is a nice place. Food was good, especially the dessert. Drinks were fine. The waitstaff was superb.

paul antonio etchison: Great restaurant. First time there and it was delicious and great service.

Ted's Bulletin: what do users think?

Michelle Wiciak: The food was excellent, although the corned beef hash was extremely salty. I loved the smoked salmon rangoons, and thought it was the highlight of the meal. The biscuits and gravy were also stellar too, and that dish was HUGE. I enjoyed the banana cream pie, but thought the crust was too thick. The only downside was that the place was a bit too loud music-wise and our server seemed disinterested in serving us

Alex teufel: This was the most pleasant restaurant experience I’ve ever had. I am from out of town.First off, they asked if there was any food allergies before taking orders and bringing food, and as a person with a food allergy this was super cool, and something more restaurants should do! Tiffany was a phenomenal waitress, best server I’ve ever had. Polite, and thoughtful staff, short wait, GREAT food. 10/10 recommend!!

Deana Bushell: The Strawberry lemonade was delish...the fried pickles were the perfect starter for our meal. Also had the Chicken Parmesan with a side of Brussel Sprouts with blue cheese and bacon. More than I could eat and very tasty. Great local place with a wonderful atmosphere.

Sarah: Delicious entree meals and really the main sell. 5 star for food, 3 star waitress. Will definitely be back for the entree meals because the cooks know what they are doing! I was very excited for the pop tarts but filling is only within the very center of them and it would have been ten times better taste-wise if it was served warm. Service was extremely slow and our waitress did not refill our water glasses and we had to wait an extremely long time to get our bill to leave. Food (excluding dessert) and environment great, but service may need some improvement especially since it was not very busy and we still waited a long time for waitress to come back to the table to ask about dessert and then again to get the bill (1.5 hours for two people to eat).

Charlotte Meindersma (Charlotte's Law): We had a Ted’s tart, which was really good. The dough is soft shortbread cookie like. Fresh iced tea was good. And we tried the loaded tots. Outside seating is really nice. Not all servers are as friendly as we’d hoped for, the girl who helped us most was very helpful and friendly.

Amreen Shafiuddin: seemed like a small cafe from outside but they have a indoor seating place for brunch !!! looked like a upscale place.. people were posh there !!! the room had ample sunlight and it was all lit.. the tables were big enough for 6 people to sit comfortably. Our server was sweet and friendly.. people even clicked our photos without us asking for help !!! the food was amazing.. i would give it 15/10… we ordered 5 different dishes.. none disappointed… The big mark breakfast was super filling.. avocado toast was presented well and quite filling as to was on the lighter fair.. the stand out dishes were the Country fried chicken and Grilled salmon !!! omg amazing flavours !!! soooo yummm !! definitely coming back here for eating this again !!!

Cory Schwab: Delicious breakfast! And the homemade pop tart was a nice surprise. Coffee could have been a little stronger but still tasted good!

Jimmy T's Place: what do users think?

Alejandro “ZTXH” Zamora Jr.: This little place is a great find. The food is great, has a like home feeling, and feels like a small step into how things were a while back. Friendly service, great tasting food and amazing atmosphere. This is a Cash only establishment

Rachel Cipkins: The food was so good!! Can’t go wrong with a $3 grilled cheese at 7am. Make sure you have cash

Jimmy Thren: My name is also Jimmy T, which is why we went to check it out. After two years of the pandemic, this was the community we’ve been missing so much. Kind, thoughtful and fun staff. I love how sarcastic everyone was with each other. It’s a cozy, fill you up, delicious breakfast stop. If you are a craving a place that makes you feel like your apart of the family, this is it.

Mad Mike0082: Absolutely the best breakfast place I’ve found in DC. Super affordable , cash only , food is perfect. Not for the fancy crowd for the real down home folks. Will be back every morning.

Amanda Pedraza: Best diner experience I’ve ever had. Food was amazing service was even better ! 10/10 would recommend! The woman behind the counter is god sent !

Patrick Young: Outstanding food that is affordable! I loved their burger and the fries are so delicious!Seriously, if you come here you have to get the fries! I couldn’t believe how inexpensive the food was while being this close to the capital! The inside reminds you of a burger joint from better times. Do keep in mind that they only accept cash, but that also keeps in theme with the hand written signs and the nostalgic feel of the place

Zoey :D: Amazing food! I had a turkey burger with just provolone and house sauce, my father had the steak and cheese sub and we shared fries. We have no complaints on food! It was delicious, they give good portions and the fries have an amazing spice. The house sauce was super good, a bit tangy, can’t get enough of it. If I’m ever back in town I will definitely suggest this! And I suggest it to you to! Only complaint is the place needs some fixing up here and there. Besides that it is a clean, cute, quiet, tasty place!

Carmen Cather: It was very busy at the time I went but they handled it well. The cheesesteak was delicious, burger was very medium rare, jeep in mind the sign states that is how they cook it unless specifically different. Yes this is cash only, but there is and ATM. The prices are so reasonable especially for location!! Great amount of food too. 2 people could split the cheese steak and fries. I loved it.

George Soliman: Best steak and cheese in the history of United States 🇺🇸Cash onlyOld style authentic

Lincoln's Waffle Shop: what do users think?

Chelli Smith: Chicken wings were seasoned just right with an amazing crunch. The waffles were soft without being soggy and they were so good. By the time I looked up my teen had inhaled her French toast so I didn’t get to taste those, but when I asked her rating scale of 1-5 I could barely get the words out before she said 5. This place is the perfect hole in the wall/mom-n-pop type spot that lets you know the food will be good. We will be back!

Claire Mizutani: Stopped by for breakfast with my brother. We were seated at the counter and served pretty quickly. The chicken wings were very crispy and the grits had a wonderful consistency. My brother said the eggs were cooked exactly as he asked and was happy the waffle wasn’t too sweet.

Michael Rusk: What a great find in downtown DC. The wait was about 15 minutes but well worth it. The host was such a character and kept us entertained. The food was fresh, hot, and delicious. I had a sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich on a bagel. My wife had a waffle and sausage side. Coffee was brewed fresh. Warning — on the day we were there, 3/26/22, their credit card machine was out of order and they were only accepting cash. The ATM around the corner was broken also! Plan on $15 per person unless you’re really hungry.

Florida Avenue Grill: what do users think?

Brandon Barnett: A beautiful and delicious meal to satisfy a soul food craving. I was a bit shocked when the prices at the grill were way higher than the online menu, but once I got past the shock of being told my total was more than a few dollars higher than I expected and saw the food/thought about supporting a local institution I didn’t really mind. Just look at this photo! You can practically see the crunch and satisfaction.

B Davis: I love FL Ave Grill. Their breakfast is absolutely amazing and the portion sizes fill you up! Wish they were open more than 3 days a weekP.S. best home style fried potatoes

Wali Davis: The service by far was short from amazing. It was very nice to see the photos of past guests and take in the nostalgic feeling the building offered. The menu offered a meatless option that was very good.

Brandon Ly: I would argue this is the best breakfast restaurant in DC. Homey, delicious food. Other restaurants with high ratings may be larger and fancier, but this no frills diner style restaurant serves fantastic food at a great price. Can’t go wrong coming here. Each meal was $11.95 (two meals in the attached photos). EDIT: We came back a second time to enjoy the wonderful breakfast (served all day) the last day of the trip. Take time to read the history hanging on the walls (literally).

Eric Parker: Best breakfast spot hands down, I frequent This restaurant because the food is great and service is awesome. I have no complaints at all, it’s rich with history and community. One of the last real mom & pop shops left....

Harriet M: A fantastic diner experience. Visited for brunch on Saturday and the place was buzzing. Restaurant itself a little chaotic, hard to know what was happening. But once we were seated, coffees and menus came quickly. Can recommend the 3 egg omelette.

Lani: The food was good. AC was freezing in the diner, so I sat outside. I got splinter from the table since it wasn’t finished/polished. It was a slight wait but it was worth it. It’s a historic diner and the other patrons were friendly. Would go again.

Jenna DeFosse: First time here even though I grew up in the DMV! Came for breakfast on a Saturday at 10 and able to easily get a table. No wait. Service was good and the food was quality. I took my meal home as I couldn’t finish it and it made excellent leftovers. Looking forward to returning.

Robert smith: Great breakfast spot! Delicious homemade food including biscuits! Quick, personable attentive staff. Enjoy the local gossip at the counter or just watch the owner who cooks everything himself while he barks back the orders from the waitress in confirmation-all while chatting with regulars. We will be back.

Nora Goldsmith: This place is a Bethesda staple! I just graduated B-CC high school nearby, and I’ll never forget walking over here after football games to chat with friends over some delicious chicken tenders, pancakes, milkshakes, etc. Even stopping by for a quick breakfast before exams always hit the spot. The staff are so lovely and always make you feel at home when you’re there, and the diner itself is so cozy and fun :)

Jed Donaldson: Wednesday special: chicken fried steak and fries. Two words: Lights Out.Outstanding service and hospitality, clean and well kept, food served rapidly, and Greg works the grille like Mozart did the ivories.

Chuck Hamman: This place is the most fun when busy. A dozen different conversations going on, waitresses buzzing around, dishes clanking. Just how one of these diners is supposed to be. Oh, and the service and food are great. I wish we had a Tastee Diner in my hometown.

moshix: Very good service. Good food. Fast in and out. There is parking in the area. Must visit.

Old Ebbitt Grill: what do users think?

Natalia Mednikov: There are straightforward American-style food. This restaurant is best known for its huge old-school oyster bar—think lots of dark wood, brass fixtures, and big mirrors. That oysters was fantastic and fresh. We’ve enjoyed also cheese sampler, fried calamari and baked oysters. Everything they do is absolutely delicious. The service was very fast and friendly. We were happy to choose this great restaurant to end our busy day in Washington, D.C.

Aditya Karandikar: Had an awesome time here as a late night/ early next day stop. The food was quite nice and fairly refined, especially at such a late hour! The atmosphere was popping as well which made it more enjoyable. Service was very friendly and they had great oysters. Fresh complimentary bread never hurts either…

Sam M: This place is one of the more famous restaurants in DC. I visited this spot during brunch and it was packed. I would definitely recommend making a reservation for both weekend dinner and brunch services. I started with New England clam chowder and some salad dish. For entrees, I got eggs benedict and catfish. All the dishes I ordered were pretty good. But, I definitely enjoyed their desserts more even though I was pretty full before it. Their key lime pie and salted caramel bread pudding were both amazing! Staffs were very accommodating and attentive during the whole service. I’m planning to visit this restaurant and will get some oysters and burgers next time. I heard they are pretty good. I definitely recommend this place to celebrate any special occasions.

Suzi Figueroa: Wow, wow and wow! A friend recommended this establishment to me when I asked for dining recommendations for my upcoming DC trip. I am so glad I listened. The warm and inviting ambiance matched the service. And the food? Oh my goodness. Delicious. My SO ordered meatloaf. Who knew meatloaf could take on a such an extraordinary presentation.

Elaine Viegas: AMAZING! There is no other word to describe it. Since we arrived until we paid the service was perfect. I couldn’t be more happy for their food, service and kindness on my birthdays lunch. We didn’t mention that it was my birthday but they saw on my profile and as soon as I arrived they asked to confirm and no only brought my desert with a candle and a cute chocolate happy birthday place on the top. Our server was amazing, she arrived singing happy birthday, was very classy and really surprised me. Thank you for the excellence in your service. BTW the food it’s top quality, my oysters and shrimps were fresh abs really tasteful.

Jelena M: Great food, great price, great service! The waiter we had was so nice, knowledgeable, and friendly! The calamari was very good, but watch out for the spicy peppers in it . My salad was yummy! I usually never order salads, but I am glad I did as the dressing was citrusy and refreshing! They also give warm bread and butter while you wait 😍

Vy H.: Cute decor and great ambiance here. Came here for my birthday lunch with some friends—we had reservations but got stuck in traffic—they were awesome about it and we were seated right away when all of us showed up. The vibe is great here, and the decor is so pretty—picture worthy! My friend brought cupcakes for us, and had no issues having it at the table. Food was good—would recommend the Crab Chesapeake Benedict, Lobster Benedict and Pork Belly Steam Buns! The Pembroke Pancakes and Corned Beef Hash were okay, but nothing special. Our cocktails were fine as well—they have Empress Gin too, a fave of mine. Service was a bit slow—our waiter forgot 1 out of 3 cocktails so we had to ask again, and later forgot to bring out a lemonade we ordered as well (we had to remind him). And fyi, there is an automatic gratuity of 20% added onto your bill.

Hannah: This place is stunning, beautifully designed. Like if the food was as good as the environment this would be one of the best places in DC hands down. That being said, we came for breakfast. Our waitress Kierra was amazing! The French toast was really good & the Crab Benedict was pretty good. The breakfast sandwich was less than mediocre (not sure how it’s on the menu or how it’s not made to be something better, was literally a step above a McDonalds sausage McMuffin). Everything else was good though. The pastry was beautiful & so tasty! Will definitely come back.

Vicky: Beautiful and classy Ambiance! Love love the dining area. This restaurant is right in the heart of D.C giving elegance and class. The food is delicious and quite affordable. The wait time for your meal can be a tad minute. I do wish the brunch menu was extensive and not limited :( overall beautiful restaurant and wonderful service.

Cara Forte: I came with my mom and daughter for brunch on a Saturday morning without a reservation and the host was very sweet and accommodating. The place is beautiful and our food and drinks were delicious. Get the bloody Mary! I would definitely come back the next time we are visiting D.C. and look forward to coming again.

Scott Goffin: Nothing like supporting a local business that gives so much back to his community and others!!! Truly a blessing to so many people... Oh, and the BBQ Pork and Beef Brisket is pretty amazing to... ;-)

Huy: Great smokey barbecue breakfast/brunch experience! Their shakes are to die for and they definitely do NOT skimp on any of their portion sizes.

kattie lin: Awesome food, super friendly waitress. We enjoyed our launch and will definitely return soon!

Shawtie Lewis: My husband & I love picking highly rated, randam diners. Very friendly, cozy restaurant. Had a huge menu. The food was plentiful & of quality. I had the double club, honey had the french toast combo. He left nothing on his plate! We will be back.

Josh Casey: Fantastic experience. Top-tier service, delicious comfort food options, and great prices. Will definitely be back!

Karla Villalobos: First time here and it was a very pleasant experience. The food was delicious and generously portioned. Pancakes were fluffy and huge! The brisket was tasty and our favorite was the meatloaf. Wow, just wow! Our waitress, Sarah, was amazing, very charming, and attentive.

Soumeya B.: If you are looking for a no-fuss, local, authentic bbq joint, then this place should be on the top of your list.

Open City: what do users think?

Deny Kostadinova: The place is very nice and pleasant, outside seating area seems a better option since inside there is no AC and only fans so it is noticeably hotter. I loved that they had oat and almond milk to substitute whole/skim for cappuccino. The hash brown is nicely cooked - crunchy and in a square. If they were to have booths inside the place I would give it a 5 star. But amazing as they have a bar inside too. Prices aren’t as expensive as other restaurants that I visited nearby. The waitress was extremely nice and talkative to us.(:

D L: Open City is one third of a Greek-owned Diner trilogy. All three spots are solid for good food at a fair price. Very Casual. Full Bar. No set vibe -You will see all types of people as a situations when you walk in. Always friendly service! Coffee and Tea options have a gravity all their own within the Menu; the selection is as interesting as it is diverse. I strongly recommend the Dirty Chai (I ordered mine with a shot of Vodka- why not!?). I have yet to encounter a menu item that is even remotely unpalatable. I will say Breakfast is their strong suit, especially for Dinner! :)

Numba “Numba” 1: The overall vibe was retro with the decor and the interior design. The waiters were both professional and polite with the food being absolutely delicious. I highly recommend to anyone looking to enjoy an appetizing meal.

Stephen Dobbs: We come down from Baltimore to explore DC and this is our 2nd time eating here. We made sure to come back bc the food and prices were that good. My g/f had the half of chicken with mashed potatoes and asparagus. I had the 24th street chicken sammich again.... so good and we split the sm kale salad

Thomas Gibson: Great food and atmosphere! It’s a lively cafe, but you can easily carry on a conversation and there is enough space between the tables so you don’t feel super crowded around you. The London Fog was top notch. I also had the sausage calzone. The calzone was full of peppers, onions, and sausage and tasted great. A bed of arugula was also included with a great lemon dressing that wasn’t thick or watery and complimented the arugula very well.

Max Porter: Delicious hash brown bowl. Great vibe. Do recommend arriving early. I showed up at 0900 on a Sunday and got a seat immediately. When I left at 1000 there was already a wait of ~7 people outside.

Josh Axelrod: A sister restaurant to the AdMo fave, Tryst, Open City mostly captures the charm of its progenitor. All day brunch is a huge plus and the flatbreads and pies are a standout. A great choice for breakfast, brunch, or lunch.

Le Diplomate: what do users think?

Thang Phu: Highly recommended! We stopped by for a late afternoon food one day and was amazed at how fantastic the food is. It was all so good, especially their desserts. I have travelled to multiple regions in France and I can attest the food here tastes the closest to food in France. They even have a wine carafe on the menu, just like France. I wished I lived near here so I could go treat myself now and then.

mike wittenburg: Five Stars for the food and the atmosphere. Visited on a busy Saturday evening and got a table without a reservation, amazing. So much seating available. Indoor and outdoor seating. Went with a couple of friends and the drinks and food were fabulous. Tuna dish is a small serving. Trout was great and the muscles were awesome. Apple dessert and vanilla creme brulee delicious. Definitely a popular spot. And the bread... So much bread... Good variety of bread to choose from. Enjoy!

Daae Katsicoyannis: The meal was incredible. I recommend going with friends and sharing everything. The service was also impeccable. You can tell that all ingredients at this restaurant are fresh and of excellent quality. It’s rare to find such an approachable restaurant of this league. I would recommend to anyone.

brian perkins: Loved this place for a few reasons. Let’s start with the bread. Why can’t all restaurants serve great, fresh, delicious bread? Because it’s not easy. I pictured the empty escargot plate because after dipping the bread in the garlic sauce it was game over. Add onion soup, superb steak frites, profiteroles to die for and you have a neighborhood gem. Not to mention the wait staff gives treats to dogs being walked by the restaurants. How great is that?!

Rob: The food and ambiance are always great. However, on multiple occasions, I’ve felt that the service is not what you’d expect from a restaurant of this caliber. Last time I felt a bit rushed and the service, while attentive, was curt. When our entrees arrived, a waiter couldn’t fully reach to place my friend’s plate in front of him. Rather then walk around the table (there was space), the waiter placed it on the table and gave the plate a quick flick of the wrist to push it over. It’s a small example but I think captures a similar sentiment seen in other reviews about the service.

Karissa Warren: Had an awesome food experience on New Years! Was a little disappointed they didn’t have their usual pastry assortment but every single item we got was delicious!! We really came for the pastries and croissants but were blown away by the food! If you want an authentic French croissant, they’ve got you covered! We will definitely be back!

Dee Ketterman: We’ve eaten here twice and love the food and decor. The feel of the restaurant more resembles an upscale bar with delicious food, as most people are standing and drinking rather than eating. I’d like to try sitting at the bar because I think it’d be a better experience to fit the atmosphere over a low table with people standing all around. The mushroom tart is fantastic and the French onion soup is the best I’ve ever had! The service was dressed appropriately but less attentive than expected, most likely because of how busy it seems to get. Regardless, I really like the food and hope to visit again soon.

Bibiana Oe: Very cute upscale dining experience! The waiter had many recommendations that were appealing. The bread with the butter is amazing! Ordered assorted oysters, mushroom tart, beef bourguignon, mussels and frites, and the profiteroles. Loved everything and it was good portions! Recommend for a lovely cozy dining in experience since the bar and inside of the restaurant is super unique!

Silver Diner: what do users think?

Lauren Sweet: The service was great and food came out quick. We ordered the red, white, and blue french toast, meatless taco bowl, and the shrimp and watermelon salad. Everything was very fresh and delicious!

Emily Zhu: Classic diner atmosphere with healthier, cleaner, fresher food! Had the Bay Benedict, which came with crab cake and fresh fruit. Boyfriend had Philly cheesesteak omelet, and we shared pancakes with real syrup. All perfect. Tea came in a huge mug with real honey on the side. Great service. Felt good and not heavy/greasy afterward. Operational jukebox machines at each table

Madeline Chevry: Our Server Destiny was so personable, knowledgeable about the menu and accommodating with our order. She was attentive and provided great customer service. Thank you Destiny!

Larry “Big Schlim” Mcleod: Have you been here before? They are located all over the DC area!! With their 50’s Diner styled spots, this place stays busy! This was an impromptu visit. Tired of Holiday breakfast & dinner, my family decided to hit up this spot. I decided to review it. . Where I am: @silver_diner . Location Reviewed: 6040 Greenbelt Rd., Greenbelt M.D. . Menu Includes; All day breakfast, omelettes, pancakes, French toast, sausage, bacon, eggs, veggie/ vegan options, burgers, sliders, chicken sandwiches, soups & salads, appetizers like wings, tenders & meatless tacos, dinners like meatloaf, shrimp scampi, pot pies, and ribs, shakes, cakes, brownies, and craft drinks. . Their Lumberjack Breakfast (with 3 pancakes, fried potatoes, a fried egg with cheese, link sausage, & bacon $15.99). Pancakes-STAMP, Fried Potatoes-STAMP, Fried egg-DELICIOUS, the Sausage-DECENT (undercooked), the Bacon-DECENT (too fatty). Next was their Bleu cheeseburger (with fries, crispy onions, bacon, lto, pickles & red onions $15.99). DECENT. It could’ve used a tad bit more sauce. The DECENT fries tasted like whatever else was in the freezer. . Customer Service: Attentive, Quick, & Friendly. . Online Navigation: Easy . Parking: Plentiful, but normally packed . Recommendations: Get ANY breakfast with the Pancakes!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️=STAMP ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️=DELICIOUS ⭐️⭐️⭐️=DECENT ⭐️⭐️=PASS ⭐️=NAH #Bigschlimsreviews

Jamie Pope: I visited this place a few days ago. I would definitely say don’t judge this book by its cover. On the surface, it looks like a regular diner; however I was wowed by the menu options. The presentation was great and the food was delicious 😋.

Fatima Bello: My first time trying silver diner, I’d say it was a lovely experience. The atmosphere was nice (I went on a Saturday evening) and the manager I believe his name was Greg, provided exceptional customer service. Since it was my first time there, I wasn’t familiar with a lot of the food items but Greg was great at recommending good choices. I had the cauliflower sandwich and sweet potato fries as my entree, and the Buffalo wings with cheese fries as my appetizer. All of it was delicious and it was so many items to choose from! I’ll definitely be returning back in the near future.

Judy Brown: Really unique stop on a road trip. Lots of vegetarian options and great southern specialties. Loved the old feel diner decor. I had crab cake mini entree as I was in Maryland and wanted something traditional. Very good quality and sides were delicious. Companion had she crab soup and succotash and enjoyed it very much.

Steven Harrah: I revisited the 50s & 60s (and my youth) with my recent breakfast @ Sliver Diner. Breakfast was quick and tasty. The staff fun and helpful. It was a little too early for the table top jukebox but it would have perfect at lunch. All wanted to try their shakes but it was breakfast - so I just had a coffee with my meal. I hope to get back there soon to try their lunch menu - lots of American Classics.

Shaira Reyes: food was delicious! great service as well. this will definitely be one of my to go spots

Old Europe: what do users think?

Vasyl Zhepikov: Hands down the best german food in US. 🇩🇪 It is not cheap imitation , but really good authentic food. Hand made sauercraft. 🤤 On pics: Sausage combo with authentic mustard. Baked brie with jam and fruits. And of course German beer. The interior is the most pleasing to say the least.

Landis Rojas: My first time here! I felt very comfortable. Also I forgot to take food pictures because the german food it was super tasty! The service is super good and attentive. Yo need a reservation in this restaurant and you really feel in s German restaurant! I really Recommend it!

Devin Nguyen: I enjoy Old Europe restaurant for its service, antique atmosphere, and certified-authentic German food! As someone who has visited Germany and Austria, I can confirm that the food is cooked according to traditional German flavors and preparation. The images I have included illustrate the restaurant’s quality and art of German culture and cuisine. My experience at this family-owned business makes me feel as if I entered a time capsule into history.

Mohan Sun: This is one of the best German restaurants in town - excellent food, great beers, and friendly owner and staff. Back before Covid, there was this old gentlemen in suspenders that would always play piano on weekends. That’s always one of my fondest memories. I had my birthday celebrations there a couple of times and they were always a blast. This restaurant veteran opened its doors in 1948 serving local customers, so please come and support them! Plus, you really can’t go wrong with a schnitzel and boot of beer!

Sam Chin: A long time local business with good authentic food and warm atmosphere. Amazing steins, cuckoo clock, and crests. They actually speak German and are good people. Support local!!

Darren H: I have been going to this place for about 18 years and love it. The desserts have recently gotten better. I always complained that the Sacher Torte was a tad dry, but this no longer seems to be the case. The appetizers, beer, and dinner are all so good that I have a hard time ordering sometimes.

Rinat Hadashi: We ate dinner: April treat, potato pancakes and schnitzel. Beverage and wine. Paid 92$.The food was tasty and very beautifully placed on the plate. The service was super nice and helpful.Recommended!

Silver Diner: what do users think?

Faisal H.: Why don’t they have locations around the country?! Maybe that is a good thing- they maintain good quality and service. Really nice diner! Good quality food, you can tell they use fresh and quality ingredients. Customer service above par, every single visit I experienced happy hosts and hostesses with a simple and friendly demeanor. They have variety of items on their menu for any mood or any taste…will definitely be back. Oh did I say, their coffee is great (although overpriced!)

Empress Q: Add 5 more stars and make it a 10! Amazing Flexitarian menu with great variety. Food was delicious! This will definitely be a weekly spot going forward.

Abouzar Kaboudian: The food was really good. The shrimp scampi had all the fresh ingredients and felt really light. We also had the triple pickled chicken sandwich which looked and tasted really good. The service was a bit slow given that it was a Saturday.

Scott Smith: The Silver Diner, this place was a bright spot on our trip to DC. We have tried a few restaurants while being down here, this place took the cake in quality, and service. I will not name the other restaurants we tried, we tried a fancy one and a couple of average priced ones. This was the only place that we left feeling good about the experience. It was so good that we came back the next evening (today). They have great burgers, great fries, and great milkshakes. Our server yesterday (a nice young woman I just forgot her name!) told us her favorites and that’s what we ate, it was as good as promised. The Oreo Shake was so refreshing, and they don’t short you, I also got my silver shake cup which was also full of milkshake. We had a nice young fellow today named Joshua. Great service, and he even made my milkshake himself because the normal shake person was not there. I’m from Ohio, and next time I’m around this area again, you can bet I will stop here. What’s great about this place is it was not overly crowded like every other place, which I didn’t understand but I was happy it wasn’t. They also have healthy choices and vegan entrees. This menu fits everyone. I highly recommend to anyone in the area!

Donald Huff: Great dine in experience! Friendly staff the milk shakes and food was great healthy options and food for everyone

Titilayo Bankole: I ordered my meal on Google maps and for some reason would go through. Once I’m it went through I was charged double. I called the woodmore location and explained what took place so that I would not have two of each order. I followed their suggested process to file for partial refund online. I’m waiting on the refund. In the meantime let’s get into this meatless plant base taco and BLT (I crushed) lol.. the food is good and phone etiquette was on point!

Tastee Diner: what do users think?

Pamela Von Tress: Meet family here for breakfast. We had a great time. Our server Zizi was great. My brother loves the salmon cakes and my husband really liked his waffle. Everyone loved their fried potatoes (yum)

Yourstruly Boston Yourstruly Boston (Yourstruly617): My co-worker specifically said this place is your best bang for your buck lol! Nothing exotic but not bad for under 10 bucks. As opposed to a hit or a miss from Panera and tiny portions. I added my own salsa on the side. Real cool staff

zella !: I stopped in for a quick bite while my kid was at a show at the Filmore. I got a T-bone and two side. Have to admit I wasn’t expecting what I got. The staff was awesome. They were all really nice and worked well as a team. My steak was perfect and seasoned really well. I wish I had taken photos but once I tasted my meal, I truly forgot to take them. Wish I could give a ten!!!

Phoenix Raines: Absolutely delicious food ranging from breakfast to dinner options, great location with an abundance of parking ( which is heavenly considering it is downtown location), and great service.
